About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hey friends, it's mister jim Man. Welcome back to Kit
Short Stories. If this is your first time, welcome to
the family. We are the podcast that turns your ideas
into an amazing adventure every single day. You know, we
couldn't even exist without imaginations from kids just like you.

(00:24):
So if you have an idea for a story, I'd
love to see it. Check down in the show notes
below for how you can submit your own story idea
and maybe we'll turn it into an awesome adventure. And parents,
if you're new to kids podcasting, I'm gonna challenge you
to listen to podcasting for five days in a row
with your kids. It's going to increase their imagination, decrease

(00:44):
screen time, and we're gonna have a lot of fun
along the way. Are you guys ready for today's adventure?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Me too.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Let's go deep in the Land of Rainbow Diamonds all
sort of magical creatures. Each creature is unique and special,
but they all have one thing in common. They are
made of rainbows. Instead of rocks and grass. The ground

(01:15):
is made up of rainbow crystals. Crystals of the land
power the magic of each creature and everything bright and beautiful.
The most magical of all are the unicorns. They can
be found in any color you can dream of, all
with rainbow manes and tails. Their coats sparkle with glitter,

(01:39):
and their horns shine even without the light. Everyone who
sees them loves them. Everyone who enters their land is happy, well,
everyone that is, except doctor stinky Breath. All these rainbows
and happiness ough gusting, shouted a grumpy doctor's stinky breath

(02:03):
as he stomped through the land of rainbow diamonds. He
had on his evil boots, specially made to change anything
bright and colorful too gross and miserable. All he had
to do was stomp on them. Soon all's rainbows and
happiness from these crystals, they'll be gone zens. It can

(02:29):
all be dark, stinky, and miserable like me. Doctor stinky
Breath was in a much more foul mood than usual.
Even talking to himself, he didn't seem to notice that
there were no purple ninjas around to listen to him today.
All of these bright colors hurt my eyes, All these

(02:53):
creatures hurt my head. He stomped past a unicorn, who
froze at the sight of him. What are you looking at? Doctor,
Stinky Breath shouted. He glared at the unicorn's shimmery coat
in soft rainbow Maine. No rainbows for you either, and

(03:13):
then he lifted an evil boot foot and kicked the
unicorn in the leg. The unicorn could hear Doctor Stinkybread's
evil laughter as it sprinted away. The unicorn could feel
its rainbows starting to fade. Began to feel terrible too,
just like Doctor Stinky Breath wanted.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
How little frown har.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
The unicorn winning Kaya and Lana were playing on the
swings when a horse approached. It was a dull gray color,
its mane and tail streaked with grays. Everything was gray.
It looked entirely uninteresting, except for the black horn sticking
out of its head. I looked at the horse and

(04:01):
was a little confused. Huh, why do you have a horn? There?
A little horse? The unicorn fretted. Must have been worse
than she thought.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Oh, not a horse. I am a littla corn, this
little stuntle doctor stormyle ron ber.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh no, we couldn't even tell that you were a unicorn.
It doesn't look like there's anything magical left inside of you.
Did you say a evil stinky doctor? Did he steal
anyone else's rainbows and magic. Two, asked Kaya her phone little.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Real, I'm a little stop him and solve my horse arm,
my friends of my arm.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
The unicorn bowed her head in sadness, remembering wild Council.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I'm a phone Real's armoral mogok.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Some little hartmull. Lana clapped her hands excitedly. Who Kaya, please,
come on, let's help the unicorn. Kaya hugged her sister.
Of course, what exactly do you need us to do? Well?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
The master returns from my head land and find Princess Pandala.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Sus a panda and.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
The ruler of the land.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Of rongber Donald's.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
So's the merst magical Levarla cultures.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Shona rot to the door, a unicorn and magical panda.
Princess shouted Lena, let's go. The unicorn gave the girls
a sad smile.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
I'll not return to my land without my magic. Now
that's around a little help.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
But how can we help? Asked Kaya. We aren't magical creatures,
but the unicorn only responded also, then kneeling, she continued,
how from.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Our civers were round, there's no time to rest.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
The unicorn and sprinted. As the girls held on tightly.
She ran through their neighborhood into the forest and stopped
at a lake. Those round Luras the portalser mild Land.
She knelt so the girls could climb down our I'll
bolder harp.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Through the madle that urpens the portal mild Land runs
on happiness, runburs and lav a sister's or Banda's a
special cound of madleic her hands and look at each other.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
The rest just come naturally. The sisters did as instructed.
Kaya took Lana's hands and looked into her sister's eyes.
She couldn't help but smile. Oh, I love you, Lana.
Lana broke into a giant smile and threw her arms
around Kaya. I love you too. Suddenly the lake water

(06:52):
began to shimmer. A rainbow appeared, one end in the
center of the lake. In the other, directly in front
of Kaya and Lana.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Are on. Laura road Work.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Cried the unicorn. She galloped onto the rainbow.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Come on.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
The two sisters and the unicorn followed the rainbow up
into the center of the lake, where a portal had appeared.
Into the land of Rainbow diamonds. WHOA looks more like
the land of spooky stinkiness, muttered Kaya, stepping onto the
black crystals created by Doctor Stinky Breath's evil boots, and

(07:30):
no sign of doctor Sinky Breath. He must have left
when he got rid of all the rainbows in magic.
They passed through a field of flowers. Everything had lost
its color. They came across a family of fairies. There,
once beautiful rainbow wings were now a dull gray. They

(07:50):
made their way to Princess Pandela's castle. Not a single
color was seen. They made it to the front gate
the castle, but it was locked. The unicorn pressed a
button and spoke.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Hello, I'm helloso, princess. That's a badlafool.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
And does are very sleepy animals?

Speaker 1 (08:17):
The princess is snapping. The voice on the other end
had no idea of the disaster that had happened to
their land. Kaya tried, this time.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
We need Princess Pandala. The doctor's thingybread stole all the
magic in your land. Everything is lost its color, sad
and stinky.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Oh are you away, keV How did you get here?
H This must be serious? Come on in, I'll wake
the princess, and with that, the castle gates.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Opened, allowing Kaya, Lana and the unicorn to enter the
castle grounds. The rainbow crystals inside the castle grounds had
remained untouched, safe behind the castle walls. No wonder, the
princess didn't know about the disaster. It was still colorful inside.
Rainbow fish jumped from the pond while rainbow flowers blew

(09:19):
in the light breeze. Kaya and Lana tried to take
it all in as they rushed into the castle behind
the unicorn. The three of them headed right to the
throne room, where Princess Pandalav was just waking from a nap.
The princess began a yawn, which turned into a gasp,

(09:43):
and she saw the sad, colorless unicorn in front of her.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
My goodness, what happened to you?

Speaker 1 (09:52):
The unicorn filled the princess in on doctor Sinky Breath
and his evil stinky boots. When she realized, the princess frowned.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
That doctor stinkey Breath had no right coming into hall land.
Let me set this straight right now. Then, Princess Pandala
closed her eyes.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
And began to hum. The rainbows and sparkles and shine
slowly returned to the unicorn. Then the unicorn ran out
into the castle gates with Kaya in Lana. I wish
you could have seen it. They looked out at the
land outside the castle walls and watched all the crystals

(10:33):
regain the brilliant beauty of their color. Rainbows once again
shined all over the land of rainbow diamonds. The magic
of the land had been restored. The three ran back
to the throne room to thank Princess Pandala, but she
had already gone back to her nap. The unicorn whinnied

(10:53):
at the two sisters attle servants.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
For their hairbrat couldn't have done with our blow.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Our golden sprayed a puff of golden glitter from her horn.
The girls laughed and hugged the unicorn, happy that the
rainbows had returned and the land was magical once again. Wow,
that would have been so sad if that all that
color would have been gone forever. But I'm so glad
that they were able to save the day.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
The end.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
We'll be right back after a brief word from our sponsor.
