About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hey friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to kit
Short Stories. I am so excited. Have you heard about
the Best Birthday Ever? Yes? That is where you get
to live out and a real spy adventure with your
friends and solve real challenges and save the day from
Doctor Stinky Breath and Purple Ninjas. So go to the
Best Birthdayever dot com to learn more about how you

(00:27):
can become a real spy. Are you ready for today's
adventure from Wyatt? Yes, me too, Let's go. Today was
a very exciting day because Wyatt was going on vacation

(00:48):
with his family. Who else likes to go on vacation
or yes, a holiday? Yes, that is such a fun
thing to do together as a family. Maybe it's a
road where you're driving superduper far, or maybe you're getting
in an airplane and flying somewhere very new and exciting. Well, however,

(01:10):
and wherever you go with your family, they're always very
fun memories, and Wyatt was looking forward to this for
a very long time. It had been weeks and months
since he first learned that they were going somewhere special,
to a place that they've never been before. They were
going to an island in the middle of the ocean.

(01:33):
Holy smokes, it was a beautiful place and he couldn't
wait to go exploring. Wyatt, do you have everything ready
to go? Shouted one of his parents. Ah, yes, my
bag is all packed. I have socks, and I'm oh, no,
I forgot my shoes. Hold on why it ran back

(01:54):
inside because he was so excited he had forgotten to
put his shoes on. Has that ever happened to you before? Oh,
it's definitely happened to me. Where I'm just so excited
to get out the door. Oh, I forgot something. Sometimes
it's my shoes, and other times maybe I forgot my bag.
But I hope I never forget my pants because that

(02:15):
would be a pretty embarrassing. All Right, I got my shoes.
I'm ready, let's go, shouted Wyatt. His whole family piled
into the car and off they drove to the airport.
This was gonna be their first time going on an airplane. Well,
at least, Whyatt's first time? Have you ever been on
an airplane before? Oh, it can be a really fun adventure. Well, first,

(02:41):
when you get to the airport, you have to walk
in and there's a lot of lines there is a
lot of waiting, but don't worry. It's all worth it
in the end. And as you walk towards the first line,
you have to walk through a very special gate that
checks to see if you're following all the rules. So
you gotta put your bag in an X ray mission
and yes, the real X ray machine that they look

(03:04):
inside your bags and make sure that there aren't you know,
pokey things on there or sharp or dangerous things. And
they just want to make sure that everyone is safe
before they get on the airplane. After Wyatt and his
family walked through all the security checkpoints, they walked towards
their gate. It was a number number six, so they

(03:25):
had to find one, two, three, four five six there.
It is Whyatt was the first one to find their gate.
That means that's like the parkings place of the plane
that they're gonna get in. Every plane has a number
where it parks and waits for all the people to
get inside, and number six is where Wyatt and his

(03:47):
family were waiting. All passengers please form a single file
a line on board the airplane. Sometimes there's a loud
voice in the speakers above and tells us it's time
to board the airplane, which is a very exciting thing.
As they waited in line and started walking into the airplane,

(04:08):
Wyat his eyes were very big. This was a very
exciting moment, a moment that he had waited for in
his entire life. As they found their seats and buckled
their seatbelts, he got to sit in the window seat.
Do you know what the window seat is? Yeah, it's
the seat right next to the window. Yes, white attendants,

(04:33):
Please prepare for takeoff. Sh that's the voice of the
pilot of the airplane. They talked to us to give
us really special instructions that we have to follow or
it's just not safe. Whyatt's eyes were glued to the
window because he was so excited and couldn't wait to
watch everything happen. As they were starting to move and

(04:58):
the engines on the airplane got the loud. It was
a little louder than why it was expecting, but his
parents reassured him that it was all normal and everything
was gonna be okay. All of a sudden, he felt
the plane starting to move very quickly. When an airplane
starts to take off, first, it starts driving really quickly

(05:19):
on its wheels and its engines are pushing it forward
and then all of a sudden, whoa. Your belly might
feel like it dropped to the ground, but that means
you're going to the clouds. Wooooo. Why it couldn't believe
it as the clouds were rushing past the window. Next
stop was that very special island. This flight was a

(05:44):
couple hours long, so it's it's kinda long, but it
was very exciting. Along the way, there's always something to
look at out the window, and there's even magazines in front.
So why it grabbed one of the magazines and it
was a magazine that was all about the island that
they were going to, and on the front cover it

(06:04):
had a big picture of an old volcano. That's so awesome.
Whyatt started paging through and looking at all the pictures
of the volcano. Have you ever seen a volcano before?
They are very exciting. But thankfully, you know the volcano

(06:24):
on this island, it doesn't explode anymore. It's an old,
dead volcano from a very long time ago, or at
least that's what the magazine said. But I think why
it is gonna experience something pretty surprising out of that
very big old volcano. Shhh. As the plane came down.

(06:50):
It gently touched down on the runway and came to
a stop. Why, I couldn't believe it. Are we here?
Are we here? He said, yes, And let's make sure
that we grab all of our things to his parents.
That's a really important part of getting off the airplane.
You don't want to leave or forget anything on there

(07:11):
because it's really hard to get back on the plane
to get it. Once you get off the plane, there's
almost no going back. So oh, you always have to double, triple, quadruple,
and just do lots of checks to make sure you
didn't forget any blankets, books, or your bags or all
those things. They had collected all of their stuff and

(07:33):
left the airplane. Next stop was their hotel, which was
right by the beach. Wyatt and his family got on
a bus that started driving towards their hotel, and off
in the distance, he saw that same mountain he saw
the picture of in the magazine, that very old volcano.
It looked very cool, and he kept an eye on it,

(07:56):
and all of a sudden he thought he saw something
at the top, something moving and glowing and maybe even
smoking a little. He said, guys, did you see that.
I think I saw the volcano shoot out some lava
or something. Is it gonna explode? No? Whyatt said his
parents that is a very old volcano that doesn't have

(08:17):
any more lava in it. Whyatt didn't believe them because
he really thought he saw some lava at the top.
What do you think Wyatt saw. Do you think he
saw some kind of lava shooting out of the volcano
or was it all in his imagination? Hmm, Well, we'll
have to wait and see what happens on the next
episode and see if there really is something strange about

(08:41):
that volcano. The end. Great job, you listened all the
way to the end, and you know what time it is.
It's time for kid shout outs. I want to say
hey to Arbor from Michigan, Caroline from Texas, Carter in

(09:03):
Ava from Utah, Phoenix from California, Simsarah from Nepal, Hawkin
and Joel from California, and Matilda from well In New Zealand.
But now they're living in Florida. Wow, that's a big move.
Well friends, I'm so glad that you are all in
the Kitchort series family and on the spy team. We
could not stop Doctor Stinkybreath and his crew. Without you,

(09:24):
my friends, well you have a super duper day and
I will see you on our next adventure. Bye.
