Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello, friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to Kids
Short Stories. Yes, you know what makes these stories way
more awesome? Right, yes, sharing with a friend. So right now,
I want you to think of two friends that you
can have your parents text this episode two and you
guys can listen to it together. And yes, it just
(00:24):
makes stories way more fun. Well, friends, are you ready
for today's adventure? Did Wyatt actually see something strange and
lava e on that volcano? I don't know, but let's
find out. Let's go. As Wyatt and his family arrived
(00:44):
at their hotel, he was eager to go check out
the beach. That is definitely the reason why they got there,
and so I could understand his excitement. When you get
to the beach, what is your first thing that you do?
I like to, you know, spread out blanket and organize
all the stuff that we have. So maybe we brought
(01:04):
some toys and some snacks and a chair, you know,
all those things they need their place. And then we
like to either jump over the waves or build awesome
sand castles and giant holes. And those are the things
that Wyatt really liked to do as well. As he
started digging around in the sand building, all these different creations.
(01:29):
He saw something that caught his attention. Wait, what was that?
He turned over and squinted his eyes. He saw something moving.
You see the beach on the property of the where
the hotel was. The beach went right up against a
big rainforest. I think that rainforest went all the way
(01:50):
up to the top of the volcano. It was a
pretty tropical place, with lots of big green trees that
had big green leaves. Have you ever seen a tree
with really big green leaves? Yeah, that's what he was
looking at. But there was something going on inside of
that rainforest that was not normal. Something was moving around,
(02:10):
and Wyatt had to check it out. Hey, is it
okay if I go check out over there? I think
I saw something moving and I needed to figure it out. Yeah,
just stay where we can see you, said his parents.
Whyatt put down the shovel and the buckets that he
was using earlier and started walking towards the rainforest. It
was so deep and dense, full of trees and bushes
(02:33):
and vines. It was almost hard to look in because
it was like a big wall of green. It's very cool.
But he saw something. It was like glowing, like an
orangish red and as he got closer to the rainforest,
he saw exactly what it was. Holy smugs, that's the
(02:58):
love of monster, shouted Wyatt. He ran back to his
parents to say, I totally that's what I saw on
the top of the volcano. It's a real lava monster.
His parents smiled and laughed, Oh, a real lava monster.
Well we better, uh, we better protect our things. They
(03:18):
thought Wyatt was playing a game, and so they were
looking to play along with his imagination. But unfortunately, Whyatt
was not playing. This was real. What would you do
if you saw a real, live lava monster walking around
in the rainforest. To be honest, I don't know what
(03:39):
I would do. But Wyatt knew exactly the plan. You see,
the lava monsters that he saw on the rainforest, they
were trying to spread lava. He ran back over to
the edge of the beach and the rainforest and looked
inside and they were like, it was like their whole
body was made out of lava. They had arms and
(04:02):
legs and head, and you know, they looked kind of
like the shape of a person, but they were all lava.
And they would take their hands and grab lava out
of kind of where their stomach was and make what
look like a snowball, but it was not snow. It
was a lava ball. And then they would throw it
on the ground and it spread and it was turning
(04:24):
the real floor to real lava. That is some serious problems.
If you know what I'm talking about, I don't know
what I would do with a real floor its lava game.
What would you do? Well, Wyatt had a plan. He
knew that he had to stop these lava monsters before
they covered the whole ground with lava. And it looked
(04:46):
like that was their plan. So he ran back towards
the shore and grabbed the shovel and started digging. Wait
a second, why in the world is he digging a hole?
How is that gonna? Oh wow, look at that. Have
you ever dug a trench in the beach and watched
as the water filled up that trench, It's like you
(05:08):
almost made a river? And that is what he started
to do. It was a lot of digging, a lot
of really hard work to build this river all the
way through the beach towards the rainforest. But it was working.
And why do you think he would want to bring
water back to where the lava monsters were. Yeah, I
(05:31):
don't think lava monsters like water. I think that water
will put out all of their lava and maybe just
turn them into rock formations that are stuck because they
can't move anymore because they're not made of lava. As
he kept digging and digging the trench further and further
up the beach to the rainforest, he started digging another
(05:52):
one as well. Oh, I see, he's trying to build
a whole circle of water around where the lava monsters are,
and so they'll get stuck inside that circle of water.
That is a great idea. Wyatt was almost done when
(06:12):
all of a sudden, one of the three lava monsters
looked up. N I don't know what he was saying,
but I think he figured out that Whyatt was trying
to trap them inside of a circle of water that
would keep them stuck in there forever. He was not
happy about it. No, no, no, no. Wyatt knew that
(06:36):
he was running out of time. He started digging faster
and faster and faster. When finally the circle was complete,
he had done it. He had dug a trench of
water all the way around the lava monsters trapping them inside?
Hah wow, Whyat did it? Now he had to go
(06:58):
run back to his parents and show them that he
was not imagining things, that it was real. As Whyat
ran towards the beach and shouted for his parents, come,
you have to see this. I caught real lava monsters. Hurry.
As they turned around to look at Wyatt, his parents
looked at each other with like a peculiar look in
(07:19):
their eyes. It's like they were thinking, wait a second,
is why it not playing? Are there real lava monsters
over there? As Whyat brought them to where he had
trapped the lava monsters in that circle of water. He
couldn't believe it. Oh wow, those are some amazing statues
you found. Look at those things, said one of his parents.
(07:42):
Wyat couldn't believe it. Those lava monsters had tried to
escape and stepped on the circle of water that he
had made, turning them into stone. The lava was completely gone,
and all the evidence of the lava was now only rock.
So that's what happens when water touches lava, The lava
(08:03):
turns into rock. Why that is a really cool discovery
that you found back here. Great job, said his parents.
Wyatt put his hand over his eyes and shook his head.
Oh well, I know you're not gonna believe me now,
but those were real lava monsters, and I guess they
touched the water and turned into rock as they walked
(08:26):
back to the beach. Whyatt was a little disappointed that
he wasn't able to show his parents a real lava monster.
But the rest of the trip was actually a phenomenal,
awesome vacation, as they had so much fun playing on
the beach and making some awesome memories, and thankfully those
memories were not ruined by some real lava monsters crashing
(08:46):
through and making the floor really lava. Well, great job, Wyatt,
You not only saved the day, but you saved your
whole family's vacation from being ruined by lava. Great job.
That may be the end of this story, but I
think it's just the beginning of the lava mysteries on
(09:07):
this island. The end. Great job. You listened all the
way to the end, and you know what, Tom, it is.
It's time for good shouted out. I want to say
hey to kenon Mila from Calgary, Remy from Oregon Ezekiel
(09:30):
