Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's going on? Everybody, it's your boy, yeasybus to Welcome
to Legit Check. Welcome to another episode. Guys. The world
is coming to an end now, I'm just kidding. So,
as many of you guys know, we're all in quarantine
right now. I am currently at home. I'm recording this
at home. Be on the lookout because over the next
(00:20):
couple of weeks I'm going to be trying to get
over some of my friends to come on the podcast,
um via Skype or Google hang Out or if they
have a microphone even better. But for the most part,
it's gonna be a lot of solo episodes because at
this point, like everybody is encouraged to be at home.
The whole city is on lockdown, and I really hope
(00:43):
that every single one of you guys are at home.
Actually it's not even just the city, it's like the
whole state. I'm in California. UM, I don't know where
many of you guys are where you're listening, but I
know it's like all over the country and even all
over the world. So I appreciate you guys, and I
hope you guys are staying safe at least stay at
home during the difficult time, Like, just keep your guys
heads up, stay motivated, stay happy, stay positive. What a time,
(01:07):
What a time to be alive. A lot of people
think that I have been able to get through this terrible,
terrible pandemic through me wearing my mask, and everybody has
been saying that I've been prepared for years. There's even
some conspiracy theories that I saw on TikTok of some
people saying that I knew that this would happen. That's
(01:27):
why I have warned a mask for the last four years.
News flash, guys, that mask doesn't really have a whole
lot of protection. Um. It's funny because a lot of
people have been messaging me about purchasing my mask online,
and everybody who I've come into contact with that has
asked me, I told them, I'm like, look, if you
want to buy this to like stunt or to flex
(01:50):
or to wear it over your masks, go ahead. But
in terms of like protection, it's not a protective mask.
Like there's been a lot of people who have tried
to exploit this whole um virus thing and make money
off of it and capitalize and it's really messed up.
So I think what I might do is I might
drop the price on my masks, and I might donate
(02:12):
all the money to CDC or one of the many
organizations that are helping to feed people during this difficult time.
So with that said, if you guys are listening to this,
make sure you guys go to easyBus dot com and
if you buy a mask, I will donate all the
profits to one of the organizations. I haven't decided which
(02:34):
one yet, but I'll pick one of them. So it's
easyBus dot com. And um, I don't want people to
think that I'm like making money off of these things,
especially during this time of need. Like honestly, like, if
you guys want to donate directly to any organization, I
encourage you to do so. But if you guys want
to mask, I'm I don't have any left. But if
(02:54):
you want to donate and you get a cool little souvenir,
then make sure you go do that. But otherwise let's
get into today's topic. So it's really interesting because a
lot of people have been asking me, like, what do
you think it's going to happen to sneakers over the
next couple of weeks slash months because of this whole epidemic,
and honestly, I don't know. Um, the stock market we're
(03:16):
down what like I think ten thousand points on Dow Jones,
which is crazy. Seeing that the stock market crashed means
that like businesses are failing and crashing. There's like a
lot of projections that fifty percent of businesses of small
businesses are going to fail over the next couple of weeks.
The unemployment rate is at right now, which is crazy
(03:37):
because it used to be at like three or four.
And everybody's just freaking out. You know, everybody's staying away
from each other, social distancing, um. But honestly, I think
that we all just need to come together and just
stay home for a couple of weeks, let this virus pass,
and just keep our heads up and just know that
(03:58):
there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Um.
Even one of the worst pandemics in modern history of
the Spanish flu only lasted three months, so and three
months it sounds like a long time, but in retrospect
it's really not. I just feel most bad about the
graduating high school seniors and um college seniors as well,
because they're going to be graduating or high school no
(04:21):
prom which sucks, no grad knight, none of that, which
was you know, really fun fun time um back when
I was in high school, and I would have I
would have been upset if I missed out on that.
So my heart goes out to you guys, And if
you're listening to this, I love you. I promise you
you will have a lot more fun times than prom
or grad night. So don't feel too bad with that said,
(04:45):
Let's move forward a little bit and talk about some sneakers,
because that's what you guys are here for, and I
am easybusted, so I am going to talk about sneakers.
So anyway, since the stock market has kind of crashed,
I wonder if the price of sneakers has because I'm
not sure, Um, I really think that sneakers in general
are aren't probably going to stay like at about the
(05:08):
same price because I really don't think that people are
just gonna be selling shoes now. But I don't know, actually,
because there's a part of me that thinks that people
want to sell their shoes just to have some extra cash.
But at the end of the day, I really don't
think people are going to be spending a lot right now.
So it's really up in the air. Let's look at
(05:32):
UM for example. Here we're gonna go on stock x
UM unpaid advertisement and UM, yeah I do still work
with them, but this is unpaid. But anyway, so we're
gonna look at some of the charts here because I'm
just curious out of like some sneakers, if anything has
like dropped UM substantially at all. Right now, I'm looking
(05:54):
at the Travis good Jordan ones. Look like they haven't
changed much. UM. Let's look at some the newer shoes
for example. UM, let's look at huh, let's look at
the new easy that came out the stages, or let's
look at the stages. So the stages they're going for
(06:15):
like two fifty, it doesn't look like they've dropped that much.
I mean, this is just kind of like everybody expected
that easies recently just haven't had a whole lot of
UM recill value recently because there's so many different colors
and UM so many different so many and and the
releases have been so wide. It's been like so easy
to get them. So it kind of makes me sad,
But at the same time, you know, I'm happy that
(06:37):
so many people can can like wear Easies. The only
reason it makes me sad was because of like the
shock value and how cool it was seeing a pair
of Easies on the street, because you're, like, holy shit,
I've never seen a pair of Easies before, and that
was kind of meat when everything started, Like when I
didn't have Turtle Doves or seven fifties or even like
wave Runners, it was so cool. I'm like naming models,
(07:00):
even like the Blue giv To. Also, I actually did
end up getting a pair off of that release. But
my point is back when Easybusta was first in its infancy,
back in the beginning of two thousand and sixteen, whenever
I saw a pair of like turtle Doves, like which
was almost never, I freaked out because it was like
(07:21):
the coolest thing ever. And that was like one of
my favorite things because I was like, oh my god,
it's like seeing a Ferrari on the street. And now
it's kind of like become so common that it kind
of lost this cool a little bit. You know. It's
kind of like a test like Tesla, Like like back
when Tesla's were like way more expensive and like way
more scarce, like nobody was driving him. And before when
you saw him, You're like, oh my god, that's so cool.
(07:45):
But now, I mean they're pretty much everywhere there, um,
in pretty much any suburban area. It's like every mom
has them. Now. It's like a very common car, which
is good, great for the environment. And obviously Tesla is
an awesome company. And I'm really happy because I have
a bunch of shares and I bought him at a
(08:06):
hundred sixty eight bucks. So your boy got lucky, but
actually not in this time, but so um, But anyway,
let's move on. Like, so, there's a lot of sneakers
that have come out recently. My favorites that came out
actually were the m dunk Low Kentucky's. I really like
that blue. It's a beautiful like royal blue, very like
(08:27):
simple shoe. I actually have a pair of these um
sitting ap Blitz waiting for me, but I haven't left
my house. I haven't been able to get him. I
don't know, maybe I'll get him shipped. But um, it's interesting,
like this shoe retailed for a hundred dollars selling for
double it's still you know, it's a great It's a
hundred and thirty six price premium on top which is
pretty awesome. Average sale price five, so you know people
(08:50):
really want them. I personally like dunks a little bit
more than sps. But for those of you who don't
really know the difference, like a re SB is a dunk,
but not every dunk is an SP. Does that make sense?
So there's so many different variances and like there's not
like one thing that really tells if something is a
(09:13):
dunk or not. But for the most part, most dunks
don't have like that fat tongue that makes it a
skateboarding chew. But there are some sbs that don't have
a fat tongue at least. Um you know, I don't.
I don't remember the exact um differences, but uh I
had a had a conversation with my boy dre Ak
Croatian style about this actually, but I kind of like
(09:36):
the dunks a little bit more, just because I'm not
crazy about the fat tongue. I have a pair of
the biotechs, the UM most recent retro, and I love
those shoes UM so nice, like weirdly enough, they go
with a lot, even though they're so colorful. Um. For
those of you who don't know what I'm talking about,
(09:57):
you guys should look it up. It's like a red,
a purple green, and I don't orange for sure, It's
like an orange yellow shoe and it's it's so cool.
I I think it's such a dope sneaker. And the
first original one came out I believe in two thousand
and two, so the original ones are very difficult to
(10:18):
come by, very expensive. But you know, I got the
most recent one just because you know, I genuinely think
that shoe is sick. Um. There's also like a blue
accent to it, and those also, I believe um retailed
for I think a hundred dollars as well, and I
don't know addinking materials on it are super dope. But yeah,
(10:39):
I love those shoes. So yeah, the I'm looking forward
to getting a pair of the Kentucky is maybe we'll
just have them shipped because I really want those. But there,
I mean, I guess I don't really need them right
now because there's nowhere to wear them. Um. But yeah,
getting back to it, I'm not sure how quickly or
if at all, the market is going to drop at
(10:59):
all for some ankers, because like I said, people aren't
going to be spending a whole lot of money right now,
and also people kind of need money right now, So
I feel like there's gonna be a lot of people
selling stuff, but at the same time, there's not gonna
be a whole lot of people buying. So it's gonna
be interesting to see how it all pens out. So
I don't know. I don't know, like just from like
(11:20):
the few shoes that I've seen, um over the last
few days, because I've been monitoring, just like checking out,
like to see a few shoes if they've dropped in value,
because like there's a few shoes that I really want
to buy that are too expensive, and I haven't seen
much of a drop. Honestly, I thought it would be
a lot more. Like I genuinely was like surprised when
(11:41):
I saw that, and um, I guess we're gonna have
to see if it if it drops, like I said,
at all, it's really interesting because I mean, there's so
many factors, right so people don't have money or people
don't want to spend money, and then people need money,
and at the same time, like people can't even wear
(12:01):
the shoes now, So like I'm genuinely curious to see
like how much how much sales have like slowed down,
but to a lot of people, to Um, like one
pair of shoes could mean rent for the month, which
is really scary, Like like one pair of shoes could
be like a thousand, two thousand dollars or fives or
(12:22):
whatever it might be, but that literally could be her
rent for the month because a lot of people are
out of jobs right now, and it's really sad because
like I have so many of my friends who aren't
working right now, who can't work. Who I have one friend,
my boy Tamer. He was actually I think in the
previous podcast he Um was supposed to go on tour
(12:43):
with his big magician and now all of a sudden,
like he can't because all the two dates got postponed,
which obviously, like he's happy that they took the precautions
so they don't spread the virus, but at the same time,
like for him, like that's his rent money, you know,
part of it least, and he he performs for a living,
like you know, shows, and now he can't go in
(13:04):
front of hundreds of people because of the restrictions. So
for him, it's like it's really hindering his business, you know,
it's it's really interesting though, But like for for someone
like me, because um a lot of my income is
from the internet, so the internet doesn't really have a
whole lot of you know, precautions for the virus. You
(13:26):
can't really spread the virus through the internet, which is
ironic even though we have things going viral all the time.
Um no pun intended and um so, like obviously like
everyone's feeling it, don't get me wrong, but I mean
especially for those like working in the food industry, those
working at like department stores or like I don't even know,
(13:50):
Like it's hard. Like one of my one of my friends,
he worked at a car dealership, lost his job. Another
one of my friends, waiter, lost his job. Like it's crazy.
It's crazy. Like some like sales reps or anything that
they legit are getting fired right now and hopefully they
get rehired in a couple of months when like things
(14:11):
kind of died down. But I mean, it's messed up, dude,
It's really messed up. But all those resellers out there,
like I don't know, it's just if you guys are
listening to this, like let me know what you think,
and they stret me a DM do you think that
you want to like sell all your stuff right now
and cash out and just have like a little bit
of extra chedda in your pocket for the time being,
or are you holding onto it right now and maybe
(14:33):
buying because maybe some people are selling it lower. I
don't know, Like it's so like I mean this like
middle ground about it because I don't know if I
want to. I don't know. It's so difficult because I
don't want to profit off of like a pandemic. I
don't want to profit off of other people like I
I was preaching this about like Kobe, Like when Kobe
(14:53):
died Rest in Peace, people were reselling Kobe's left and right,
which was so messed up, and I was really hoping
that for the people who were buying them that they
were genuine fans who kept them and wore them. It's
like super super crazy because the day before he passed,
um I bought a pair of Kobees to play basketball in,
(15:16):
about two pairs of Kobes. Actually, I bought the Fate
of Black Elevens and I bought the Fate of Black Nins,
the Faded Black Knins to play in because I'm scared.
I want to. I'm gonna roll my ankle in their
highs and then the Faded Black elevens just because of
like the history behind the shoe. It literally has like
the date that he like on the back. I think
it was April two sixteen that he retired, and I
(15:38):
just thought they were so cool and like I just
saw like the day after he passed, like both of
those shoes just like exponentially went through the roof and
it made me sad, and like I didn't even have
an ounce of my soul that thought that I should
sell them. I mean, like, oh, you know, and I
could just make a few hundred bucks right now. I
was like no, Like three days after, I went to
go play basketball and him, and like I've been playing
(15:58):
basketball on him since, so I really don't care. I
could care less. I mean when I say I played
basketball and I mean the faded Black nines, but the
elevens I still have in my room. Um displayed almost
as like a homage, you know. Um, it's always kind
of like think about the Mamba mentality. Wow, this episode
has been so sad. I'm sorry, guys. I know I'm
supposed to be putting a smile on our guests faces.
(16:21):
But I mean, this is like some real stuff that's
going on, and if you're listening, obviously, I appreciate you.
You guys are awesome. The podcast has been killing it recently,
and like I really really appreciate you guys, and I
hope you guys are ready because all of you guys
that are listening right now, you guys are the o
G fans, the o G listeners, the o G fam.
I don't have fans, I have fam. So I appreciate
you guys. I love all you guys. Um, thank you
(16:42):
for listening, and I really hope that you know my
videos or my podcast or my content will help you
get through this hard time. I hope you guys have
fun listening, and I hope I can put a small
smile on your guys faces. I'm sorry, Like I feel
like this whole UM episode has been really really depressing.
So that's on me, and I'm saying he's depressing again,
(17:05):
I'm laughing. Um, I mean, bear with me, guys. I'm
literally talking to myself in front of a microphone and
a computer right now, so cut me a little bit
of slack. But it's interesting too. On another note, how
this uh virus the COVID nineteen coronavirus has really like
affected so many different things, Like there's so many releases,
(17:26):
like sneaker releases. They got pushed back. Um, Supreme like
shut down all their stores. Um, Nike shut down all
their stores. Adidas crazy enough kept their stores open, and
then they got destroyed on the internet and then they
eventually closed them down. I don't know what they were
thinking with that one. I mean online sales obviously, like
Supreme is still dropping every Thursday. Um, it's still you know, happening,
(17:52):
But I don't know, it's weird. Like it's such a
weird time, man, what a time to be alive, Like
for real, like life was so good, you know, everybody
was thinking that was going to be like vibes everyone
loves for some reason, and so many crazy things have happened.
But let me put this out there, guys, it's been
(18:13):
so much worse. Like, like, just be happy that you're
at home with your families, with your friends, whoever you
guys are quarantining and chilling with. That actually sounded absolutely terrible,
whoever you guys are quarantining with, and just be happy
that you're around them, and just make sure you're washing
your hands and purelling every five minutes or whenever you
(18:36):
touch anything that's not um clean, and just be happy
that we're at home with our loved ones rather than
you know, back in the day. Um Like for example,
like imagine if you were a sold drawn d day, Like,
what do you think that they thought? Or during the
World War do you think that they thought, Oh, dang,
this is a great year. I wish I'm happy I'm
(18:58):
not staying at home with my family right now. You know,
just think about it that way, like it could be
so much worse. It's so weird. I I haven't left
my room in like two weeks, like I'm literally But
for me, it's been good because I really kind of
buckled down and was like, you know what, I really
need to make some content. So that's why, Um, there's
gonna be a lot of solo episodes guys that you
(19:20):
just bear with me. We're gonna have some really cool guests. Um.
Once this whole thing kind of like passes and once,
um the studio is back open. But I have a
couple of new videos coming for you guys at the
end of the month. So I mean, you guys are
gonna listen to this. I guess this Wednesday. So after
you listen to this, you guys will see in a
(19:41):
few days after that that there will be a new
video up, so make sure you guys look out for
that one. And I'm really really excited because I have
a really cool person who's going to be in my video.
Something is someone that you guys will probably never expect
to be in my video, but he's been the coolest
I'm not gonna reveal who it is. He's been like
the coolest guy, helping me out a lot. I'm very
(20:03):
thankful to have him on my side. You know, um
on my team, not on my team more so, I'm
on his team. But you guys will you guys will
understand in a few days, I guess from when you
guys are listening to this. And I'm really excited to
push out new content. I'm so, so so excited. It's
(20:24):
been three months that I haven't posted a video in
three months, which is ridiculous, and I'm sorry, and I
always apologize, and you know, now it's time to stop
apologizing and to start winning and putting out new content.
It's time. It's time, boys, Like now, I need you
guys more than ever. So whenever this, um, whenever you
(20:45):
guys are listening to this, make sure you guys tune
into make sure you guys are following me on Instagram,
because on Instagram I will post the official day. I'm
going to make it a premiere. I'm gonna make it
like this cool thing. So make sure you guys are
looking out for that one. But yeah, so for me,
it's been you know, I locked myself in my room
and forced myself to make content because you know, I've
been so busy over the last few days, over the
(21:06):
last few months, and that's kind of part of the
reason why I haven't been able to create more is
because I've been so busy. I've been like traveling all
over the world. Um, I'm doing a lot of stuff
behind the scenes that I haven't really mentioned yet or
haven't really revealed yet, that which which hopefully will come soon.
But yeah, guys, like for the most part, please just
(21:29):
I promise you guys, the next episode will be a
lot more fun. I'm going to be thinking of some
different kind of topics. But I don't know, I mean,
let me let me know, guys. Do you guys want
me to talk about like real world issues and like
real problems and like real things that are going on.
Or do you guys just want me to talk about
just like mainly sneakers and stuff because it's I feel like,
but some of my guests, like we did kind of
(21:51):
do a deep dive on like so many different things.
It hasn't just been like strictly sneakers, like oh what
sneakers last week? Like it was like, um, a bunch
of different things and I don't know, I like it,
but but you guys let me know what you like.
And it's so hard because you guys can't, like, you know,
comment on this podcast. I wish you guys could, um,
(22:11):
but definitely definitely reach out to me somehow, tweet at me,
follow me on Instagram and DM me, like you know,
pick one and just let me know. Like do you guys,
do you guys want me to do like more fun
and just like sneaker related stuff, or do you guys
want me to talk about everything? Because I don't know,
Like my vision for the podcast was obviously to talk
about like fashion and sneakers and stuff, but at the
same time, like I wanted to talk about like some
(22:33):
like real world like issues you know, and I think
that it's important for us to all be up to date.
But anyway, guys, I'm gonna keep it short and sweeten
for this podcast. The next one will be different. Um.
Make sure you guys are looking at for next week.
You can make sure you guys are subscribed whether you're
listening on my Heart Radio, Couple of Music, Spotify, or

so make sure you guys hit the download butN too.
I appreciate you guys and I'm gonna get you guys
