Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's going on? Guys, is your boy easy bus to
Welcome back to another episode of Legit Check. I'm here
with my good friend Zobots. Go ahead and introduce yourself. Man,
Thank you for coming on the show, trouble Man. Good
to be here on the show. From Croylesia. I grew
up in Bosley twenty three years old, play for the
(00:20):
l A Clippers and not doing anything curly. Yeah, that's
what's up. Definitely sucks to be stuck at home, but
it is what it is. But you know, it's cool
that we're able to do this because technology so advanced
these days. You're actually the first recorded podcast, so I mean,
that's pretty cool if you ask me. Honestly, it is.
(00:40):
Even if there was no Corona wiras we it would
be hard to do this with my schedule and your
schedule to men, but this was the only way, I guess, yeah, yeah,
the only way for now at least. But definitely, man,
thank you for for coming on. You know, the whole
podcast the premise is around like sneak is in streetwear,
(01:01):
and it's funny because that's kind of how we met
through sneakers in streetwear in a way because of because
of Dre Andre a k A. Croatian style. He's been
on the show a couple of times. So yeah, I mean,
what made you reach out to to Dre or I
don't I don't remember the exact story. Were you interested
in sneakers in streetwear or was it more so because
(01:21):
you guys have a similar background or the same background.
You guys are both from Croatia. What would you say?
He was the guy who works for my national team
told me about He was like, yeah, I know you
live in l A. I know this guy. He goes
by Croatian style. You know, he's big sneaker, sneaker in
(01:41):
the industry or whatever, and uh, you know his Croatian
So you know if your board or whatever, you know,
you can you can hang out with him. So I
came to l A. I found him analogy. I was
about to b m and but then I realized he
already bem me like half a year ago. So you know,
(02:02):
I was like, man, I've never seen this message before.
You know, I want to you know on Croatian, your Croatian.
I want to meet up. I'm interesting in getting some
some sneakers stuff from you. And that's how we started,
I went to his where how unfortunately I couldn't get
any issue because you don't have much of my size.
(02:25):
But h but we became best friends, and uh, you
know that's that's how I met you, and I'm really
happy I reached out to him. Yeah, that's awesome. Well,
so happy to have met you through Dred Drays definitely
introduced me a lot of cool people, and you know,
it's it's really cool to have friends who have, you know,
similar mindsets and who are killing it like yourself. So
(02:48):
that's awesome. But going back to how you were saying
that Drey didn't have anything in your size, for those listening,
what's that shoe do you wear? I know what it is,
but I mean, go ahead in the big group for
all the listeners, did you guys hear that size nineteen
not size nine? Nineteen one nine? Bran is definitely hard
(03:14):
to find anything in my size. So I know that
you have a deal with Adidas, so you work with them,
But before working with Adidas, how difficult was it to
buy and find shoes in your size? Man, I've been
I've been wait Adidas since since I was sixteen, so
and ever since then, it's it's not. It's not super
(03:36):
hard for me because you know, they helped me out
a lot. But before that, growing up in Bosnia, it
was it was almost impossible because you know, you can't
find anything about fourteen in stores, so the only way
it was to order it online. But Bosnia being in
middle of nowhere, I didn't have any like shipping the
(03:59):
options even sent it to Bosna, so it was I
would have to ship it to Germany and then I
would has uh my family that lives in Germany and
bringing the bring it to Bosnian when they traveled to Bosna.
So you know, it was it was a fally hard.
But no, I'm glad. I'm glad, um done done with
(04:22):
that party and I can afford having like customary shoes
and I gotta deal with to do this that. You know,
they get me a bunch of stuff, so definitely good. Now,
Well yeah, dude, that's that's crazy. So when you were
still in Bosnia, and how old are you? You You were
like what fifteen? Yeah? Yeah? So what side shoe were
(04:44):
you then? Were your nineteen as well or were you
still like a sixteen seventeen? And I think I was
around eighteen nineteen. I'm not sure if I hit nineteen
by age fourteen or fifteen, but it was definitely like
I couldn't I couldn't out in the store. Bro. That
is crazy. You know, it's funny because a lot of
sneaker heads getting made fun of, for um, how how
(05:08):
much effort they have to put into buying shoes, you know,
whether they be waiting outside of a store for three
to four days or you know, camping out in the rain.
It's stuff like that, Like, you know, it's it's crazy.
And obviously the price and all that stuff too, but
the fact that you literally had to ship the shoes
to a different country and then have someone in that
country ship it to you is insane. Not ship not
(05:32):
ship it to me, oh bring it to it because
there was no option to ship it to me. And
so next time they were coming back to Bosnia, that's
why they brought them with. Yeah, that's crazy. And sometimes
it would take like a few months just to you know,
because people don't travel from Germany every day. It was
(05:53):
it was man, Yeah, Germany are not close at all, dude,
that's not close at all. That that's what like a
two hour at least an hour and a half to
our flight and you know, to go with a car,
it would take you about like fifteen hours. So it's dude,
that's dedication. That's amazing. And obviously now you've gotten to
where you are now and it's it's it's an amazing
(06:15):
story and you know that that's that's so cool. Especially
growing up, you know, watching all the NBA and all
the famous basketball players. Everyone had their own signature shoes,
so you always wanted their shoes, but that they almost
never made them in my size, so it was I
would be jealous of other kids for having them and
(06:38):
I couldn't like I could afford them, but I could
never find them in my size. Jeez, what what was
your What was like one of your favorites growing up?
I love, I love, I know, I'm with Adidas, but
Kobe's Kodes or whatever Kobees came out. I always wanted them,
but I don't know, I would never be able to
(07:01):
get them. But remember only Kobe Yeah, yeah, but only
Kobe's I had were Kobe is six, I think, oh wow,
and I was, and I was Kobe six one of
the best ones. Yeah, I love that shoe, but that
(07:22):
was the only one I was able to Wow, Yeah,
that's that's that's crazy. And now you know, now it's
sad that so many Kobe's are just becoming like a
hot resale item. Now you know, it's it's it's crazy,
but but yeah, that's so cool. And then growing up,
obviously it was very difficult for you to get kind
of like your gear. But what made you, um fall
(07:43):
in love with like basketball? Like what was like the
first thing that that kind of told you, like, you know,
I want to play basketball. Was it because you're seven
ft tall? Or was it because you love the sport?
And or how did you get into it? Because obviously,
you know, when you think of basketball, you only think
of like American players and everyone in America watches basketball.
(08:04):
But coming from Europe, how how different was that? So
I was always taller than anyone else my age, so
you know it was kind of natural, but uh, we
really pushed me into chasing basketball. And even more was
my cousin made the NBA two in two thousand and three,
(08:25):
that's when he got drafted. So you know, seeing him
coming from the same same place that I grew up,
you know, made in real life like, man, I can
I can do this too? If he can do it.
I can do it too, So that was my biggest motivation,
you know, seeing him just getting drafted, going to NBA,
(08:49):
playing there for a few years, playing at the highest
level in Europe. You know, maybe maybe wanted to I
want to do you know, maybe want to get to
the NBA level. So that was my motivation. And you know,
I went a little by a little. I believe in
me and uh, you know, sometimes it will look like
(09:12):
it's not possible, but I still still went through everything
and get paid off. Yeah, that's awesome, man, Like I'm
I'm so proud of you. It's like such an inspiring
and cool story, especially because you know, I feel like
part of the reason why we're good friends is because
we have similar backgrounds. I don't really share exactly where
I'm from, but um, you know, keep the people guessing.
(09:34):
And it's so inspiring because you know, I'm also from
a very small country as well. And it's incredible, like
what you know, putting in hard work and like really
loving what you do and where it can take you.
So I dude, I'm so proud of you. That's like
so amazing. People knew where are you from and would
(09:54):
be a different story that would be that would appreciate
you more. But yeah, hopefully your story man, your story
is crazy to me. Well I appreciate that, man, hopefully,
And uh, you know, when I hit a million, which
is you know, hopefully sooner than later, people will be
able to find out a little bit more about me
when I start showing my face. This is very weird.
I don't think I've ever talked to you with the
(10:15):
mask on. So what do you think? Is it a
little bit weird? Do I look way different? Or I'm
not used to I can't even I can't even hear
what you're saying, but uh, yeah, I'm not used to it.
But you know, seeing you without mask, I can I
can picture you like I can picture your face when
(10:38):
you wear a mask. So yeah, it's funny because I
love people. I don't think you're better not piss me off.
I know it was a picture or something, so I mean, dude,
you were saying my full name before the show, so
you know, I promise you I won't piss you off.
So now on to the next controversial question. And I'm
just kidding. Well, that's incredible, man. I know a lot
of your backstory, but for the people who are listening
(10:59):
and who would be interested and like hearing more like
how how did it go down? Like when you were
younger playing basketball, Like you said, you've been with the
d since you're sixteen, So how did that happen? How
did you progress to the next level were you're getting
scouted and how how did that whole process go down? Man,
I hate and trained trained for my for my local
(11:19):
team to carteen and you know a team from Croatia,
Si Bona, that was that's a you know, best best
club in Croatia. Were you sedouted me to my appearance
and they said, you know they some of their scouts,
so we're playing they were, they were interested in me
and bringing me to Zagreb and you know, staying there
(11:44):
and playing for them. So that was that was the
first decision I had to make. I had to move
out when I was fourteen and go live by myself
in a capital of Croatia. So you know, that's that's
kind of when it got when I got a little serious.
From there, I got invited to Croatian national team, played
(12:05):
for under sixteen team. That's when I you know, after that,
data reached out to me. They wanted to do a
sponsorship deal. You know. After that, NBA scouts came coming
to our games, they came to scout me. You know.
From there it kind of took off. That's that's when
(12:26):
I call the NBA draft mock pages and they had
me on their draft lists. It just motivated me to
work even harder. And then I decided to enter the draft,
got drafted by the Lakers, came came over to the
NBA straight from Europe, and that's how it started. That's
(12:47):
so awesome, man. And then now now you're playing at
the Clippers. I'm happy that you were able to stay
in l A. You know, I was not happy that
you got traded. But you know, I do support you.
I do support the team because as of you. But yeah, man,
it's incredible. You're coming from like such a tiny, little
like town to where you are now. It's like very inspiring.
(13:07):
It's amazing. Yeah, five people, bro, It's incredible. Man. Well,
so in your town, let's backtrack a little bit. Was
everybody tall or is that like just kind of like
a gene pool and where you came from or because
I noticed, like I've been to Croatia I think four
(13:28):
times now, and every time I go there, I'm looking
up and I didn't think I was short. I'm six
ft one, you know, which is I guess above average
height in America. But in Croatia, I felt like I
was short, Like honestly, I was looking up at girls
like you know what I mean, And and that was
the thing that blew my mind the most of that. Yeah,
it's crazy, No, it's a it's a it's definitely like
(13:55):
it's a whole country man. The people are super I
mean not told us me, but they're taller. They're taller
than average people. So that definitely got to do something
with it. But my whole family and my mom and
I told their boat to their their boat told and
(14:15):
I think that's where I got it from. Are you
are you the tallest in your family? Yeah? Yeah, okay,
that's that's crazy. So some one will do that. Wow, dude. Yeah,
it's funny because whenever we're out in public, like, you're
always three ft above everyone else, so everyone's always coming
up to you, and it's kind of hard to not
(14:36):
stand out. But it's funny because even if they don't
know who you are, they're still gonna come up to
you like as you like play basketball? How tall are you?
How's the weather up there? If you've ever seen you,
don't ask me how's the weather up but you know,
they're people always got some questions for you when they
(14:57):
when they see some some people of corse. I actually
I got to see a little bit of that when
we were at L a X together, and like, it
was so funny seeing people walk up to like a
lot of people knew you by name, which was cool,
but I definitely noticed a couple of people. One person,
it was funny to me. They were like, oh, I've
seen you somewhere, like do you play basketball? And You're like, oh,
(15:18):
I don't know. And then he's like he's like, yeah,
I know you, and you're like, oh, what's my name?
That was funny. That was funny. But I definitely understand
like that aspect. I mean me, like I covered my
face so when I'm in public, nobody recognizes me, which
I like. And I told you, bro, if you just
wear the mask regardless of the height, you know, maybe
people think. And it's funny because I don't really notice
(15:45):
how tall you are, and until like we're like walking somewhere,
but if we're at dinner or anything, I kind of
forget and then I and then you would stand up
and I'm like, oh shit, I'm a I'm very short,
but yeah, but hey man, you know it's it's a
blessing and this guy at the same time anything. So
(16:06):
let's talk about um a little bit now, Like where
you are with the Clippers, like arguably either the best
second best in the league. You guys are killing it.
I feel like you need me to come to more
games because I've actually never seen you lose. And I
swear every single time I'm supposed to go to a
game and I don't go, you guys lose. That's that's true. People.
(16:28):
Everyone who's listening to this every time he came to
a game war so dude, every time, even in from Yeah,
as always, I appreciate it. And now I get to
where the jersey you gave me, I tried it on.
You better not show up with a Laker head anymore. Okay,
let's uh, let's tell everyone that story because it was funny.
(16:51):
So this last Christmas in the Lakers played the Clippers
and me and Andre, the guy who we were speaking
about early creation style, we got tickets like great, great seats.
It was I think fifth or sixth row and I've
always wanted to go to a Christmas game and it
was it was like the two best teams and it
(17:11):
was really really cool. And I was like, you know
what I'm gonna I'm gonna troll Ivins and I'm gonna
wear uh, I'm gonna wear a Lakers hat. And after
the game, it was so funny because we were talking
and I don't think you noticed that I was wearing.
It took me a second, and but I was so
I was so happy. We played a great game. We
gotta win, you know, I played good. I come out,
(17:33):
there's my family and there's Dre and Basta. But you know,
I'm talking to him, talking for about two minutes. But
I don't know how I didn't see it because he's
so short, but but you know it, I realized he's
(17:54):
wearing a Laker head, and bro, it was so funny
because Ray said something about the Lakers. He's like, oh,
I'm happy for you, but I wish the Lakers one
and then and then you're like, yeah, well I know
who's supporting me. And then you turned to me and
you put your arm out like this and then like
to like dap me up, and instead of tapping me up,
you saw my hat and you grabbed and you threw it.
(18:15):
That was funny. That was funny, especially because I put
up with a jersey. Dude. No, that was after you
gave it to me, after you had a jersey. I
did have a jersey. I did. You're right, But honestly,
the reason why I didn't have it was because it
was in Texas. It was it was at my family spot.
(18:36):
But otherwise I would have worn it. But I didn't
want to troll you and just mess with you. That
that was a good one. That one. Yeah, well, dude,
that that was an awesome game. Like in the rest
of the season, you've been playing awesome too. What are
kind of like the goals for for the rest of
the season, Like, I mean, ship, did the season really
get canceled? I've been hearing a lot of rumors. Is
it gonna happen still or what's happening? I mean, no
(18:59):
one knows anything anything. Yeah, but NBA definitely wants to
continue this season. You know, they want they want they
want a champion. So I'm I'm positive you know we're
gonna keep playing. When when this when this comes down,
but no one knows when. But you know, our our
(19:22):
only goal, there's a championship. I feel like we gotta
we gotta think who can want it all? And I'm sure,
I'm sure we're gonna. You know, everyone's we're working on
our homes. We gotta you know, we're doing our conditionings
and we're staying ready so when the time comes, we're
going to be ready. We're trying to win the weight Yeah.
(19:46):
Have you been able to play any basketball at all? No?
I didn't touch a basketball or in about a month. Wow,
that's crazy. That probably never happened in my life. But
know it's at least I get to you know, look, weights,
I do my conditioning, I'll do everything else, but basketball part,
(20:10):
we're not. We're not able to do it. They closed
are they closed down our facilities? NBA game We ordered that.
We can't even go to the different games work out
by ourselves. So it's tough, but it's no, no, absolutely, Yeah, dude,
that's crazy. So I didn't even I didn't even know
is that strike. I thought they might have let you
(20:31):
guys like practice at least. But well, that's good, that's good.
I mean, obviously it's gonna feel really good when you, you
you know, pick up a basketball next time and the
first time you pick up a basketball, you know. But
how how did it all go down? Because obviously we
heard about who was it that that got it? Gobert? Yeah,
so after that happened, did all of you guys get tested?
(20:53):
Did you have to get tested on auditory? No? Okay,
we played a game on Monday. We came back home
and there was I was just watching. Uh, I was
about to watch the game. Okay, see Thunder against Utah Jazz.
It was like the start of the game was delayed
for a little bit, So that was that was weird
(21:14):
because games in the NBA never get delayed. But then
it came out that they're afraid some of the players
got the virus, so like an hour hour they canceled
the game and a few hours later it came someone
tweeted that Colbert got the virus. So immediately after that,
NBA sat down the whole season. The only test of
(21:36):
the teams that played against Utah in the last two weeks,
I think, but they told everyone to stay home for
two weeks. So someone got it, so we don't affect anyone, uh,
infect anyone. It was weird because one of my national
team teammates, he plays on Utah, Jazz Uganovich, So I
(22:02):
tested him and they didn't let them out of their
locker room and okay see until the next morning. Wow.
So yeah, both teams they had to stay in their
locker rooms whole night. You know, they had people come
and test test all the players, and everyone was negative
except Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. Wow, that's crazy. I didn't
(22:27):
know it was like that intensive because at that time too,
like people weren't really taking the whole coronavirus thing that seriously.
I feel like, I think, yeah, I think that kind
of you know, people started taking more more seriously after
the NBA shut down there phost season, because yeah, it's
good that it happened so early, so we were able
(22:51):
to you know, stop it because you know, they said,
they said Gobert was you know, he was ready to
play like he felt great. Yeah, uh, he would, but
they tested him and he showed positive, so they shut
it down. Like if they didn't test him, he would
keep playing. Okay, see if he would play other teams, Yeah, okay, see,
(23:12):
we'll play more teams. And so you know, it's good.
It's good that it happens so early. Yeah. Basketball is
such a contact sport too, and you know, you guys
are like breathing on each other. I mean obviously not intentionally,
but I mean on the on the ball, like you know,
you you got guys who you know, they got their
mouthpieces and they take them out during during the game,
(23:35):
and they touched the ball and then someone else that's
the basketball. So it can spread easily. Yeah, And it
actually blew my mind, like right after the quarantine thing
got put into effect, like people were still playing basketball
and like Venice Beach, which is like it's completely completely idiotic.
You know. I was watching that and I was like
I was like, yeah, are you guys, are you guys
(23:56):
stupid or something? You know, like it's it's crazy. But
basketball is such a contact sport. I understanding maybe you
could get away with playing like tennis, but even then,
like so he can get on the ball, you know.
So yeah, and it's it's so contagious and I'm I'm
and I don't know if any other NBA players got it,
Like yeah, there was there was two Lakor players, there
(24:18):
was four players on a booklin nets. There was a
player in Detroit. Kevin Duran got it to right. Yeah, yeah,
he got it. There was Marcus Marcus Smart from Celtics.
So that was about ten players. Wow, that's crazy. I wonder,
I wonder if if it all started from one of them,
if it was a Gobert like one of the other players,
(24:40):
and then it's that's crazy. But you know what's crazy
to think our next game was supposed to be against
group the nets. Oh wow. Yeah, and there was three
players on that team who got it right. Four dude,
that's crazy. I'm glad with them. They said to shut
(25:00):
down the season before it happened, before that game happened,
So because there was so much talk about how they
were going to allow games with no audience, with no crowd,
that was a decision I think NBA was making right
before they shut down the season if they're going to
continue playing from the fans because they're gonna play with
(25:21):
our fans, or shut down season completely. And they were
I think they were leaning to, you know, playing without fans,
but Goberta testing positive, they had to cancel the the
whole thing. How would you have felt if you if
you had to play games without fans? That would be
kind of weird, huh, for sure. I mean almost every
(25:43):
NBA game is sold out, and you know, you come out,
there's twenty thousand people. That's what keeps you going, you know,
there's you know, you play for those people. But playing
without them, it will be it would be hard. I
mean when I played in the Croatia, you know, I
played it, you know a lot of games where there
would be like a kind of people in uh in
(26:04):
whole arena, so you know, I was kind of used
to death, but still, like you you know, every every
end the game I played, there was like twenty thousand
people in in the arenas. So it would be weird, weird,
But if it's for the best, you know, if if
that was the only way, I would definitely do it.
I always wondered if you guys actually played a game
(26:26):
without fans, I probably would. I was going to text
you and like I asked you, like, yeah, what was
that weird? I feel like a big part of games
too is is the fans, because at the end of
the day, like everyone's like either supporting you or against you,
and then you can either take the support or like,
for lack of a better word, say you to the
haters and then play even better, you know what I mean. Yeah,
(26:46):
for sure it changes the game, you know, much like
it wouldn't make a difference if you're playing at home
or on the road, because it would be saying there
was no fans. Yeah exactly, And yeah, I feel like
that's it's like one of the biggest parts of basketball
is like home versus away, because it's such a I
mean not even just in basketball, like soccer or pretty
(27:08):
much every sport. It's it's like home advantage is such
a big thing for sure, but especially like some places
like Bostin or Philadelphia. You know, they got they got
crazy hans and h you know, playing there is definitely harder.
Yeah you're saying that. I think you told me one
(27:29):
time that you're one of your favorite places to plays
that Medicine Square Garden. Oh for sure. It's iconic and
it's it's huge, arenice huge. It's just you know, it's
just knowing that you were playing Medicine Square Garden it
makes you special. Yeah, no, absolutely, But it would be
very weird if it was empty, Like can you imagine
(27:50):
fearing hearing all the shoes on the cord and the
ball bouncing, Like how it would be would be so weird.
And you can hear your coach, you can hear your bench,
whatever they're saying, it would be. It would be Man,
I can't even imagine that. Man, that would that would
actually be funny. I didn't even think about the coach,
Like the coaches is yelling at each other. Yeah, that's
(28:12):
what I was saying, Like with the fans when coach
is mad at you and he's yelling something like you
don't even hear and you don't care. Yeah, and you
like people that will watch that on a you know,
on the TV, that would hear everything like coaches some
players are saying, So it would be more interesting for
the people watching the game some TV, like they would
(28:33):
hear like a lot of stuff that you can you
cannot hear when you were, you know, at the game
or when they packed. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. Well, I
mean I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing the nviator zoom.
You know, I know you are definitely probably at home
like every day thinking about it. Yeah, That's something I've
(28:53):
been doing since I was man, since I was like
all right, so this month two it's crazy. Yeah, what
have you been up? To at home. Have you been
watching like reruns of old games or have you been
kind of trying to stay away from watching basketball. I
don't like watching the games, my old games, you know,
(29:14):
off time, so I don't. I don't really watch games,
but I'm hopefully watching shows and movies. Yeah, that's just
the Star Wars puzzle that you made a sick man.
It was two thousand pieces. It was it was super hard,
but it came out. It came out looking really nice.
I haven't finished the one that I have, the one
(29:36):
that I sent you. It's like what was done? No,
I took a break from it. Okay, five kind of pieces. Bro,
it's a thousand okay, lax, Okay, mo twite easier than mine.
But have you been one? Yeah that's true. You're right.
Have you been watching a lot of Star Wars? Keeping
up the date? And uh watched everything? I watched the
(29:58):
last movie like, I'm glad you got me into it. Yeah, dude,
I'm glad I got you into it too. Bro. It's
like my favorite thing. And you know it's crazy. Andre
he had a scare. He thought that he had the coronavirus,
so he got he booked himself into a hotel and
one night he texted me and he said, Yo, can
I have your Disney Plus login so I can watch Mandalorian?
(30:21):
And I'm like, yeah, of course. This dude texted me
at four thirty in the morning and he was like, dude,
episode five was weak, and I was like, like, I
woke over the morny. I'm like, you were watching Mandalorian
until four thirty in the morning, Like, come on, what
are you doing? It is one day I was, bro,
(30:45):
it's so good, and Drave was telling me he rewatched
all the movies and everything too, so uh, yeah, I
know that shout out Disney Plus. Honestly, it's a good clutch.
So dude, yeah, I just can't imagine what it's like
for you right now. I'm just because for myself, like obviously,
you know, I make YouTube videos. I just got back
on YouTube for the first time in four months, and
(31:08):
now I'm gonna be posting once a week. But at
least I'm I can keep myself busy and kind of
you know, continue to do what I need to do.
But I can't imagine, like what it's like for you
because you literally cannot do what you're supposed to do.
You know you can't that you love to do or
you want to do. Is like, at the end of
the day, it's like your job, you know, no matter what,
(31:32):
it's something, it's something that you know that I do
every day. It's like it's part of my life and
being away from it, you know, it's terrible, but it's
for the better and you know you gotta do it.
Of course, have you left the house at all? I
(31:54):
did left my house to go grocer groceries. But that's
that's that's about it. Yeah, have you been wearing Yeah,
I wear my mask usually best in mask I go.
I appreciate that. I appreciate that, Broy. By the way,
I also found a double excel in the hoodie, so
(32:16):
I'll send you that. There we go. I appreciate that, Bro,
of course, of course, I hope you like it. It's
actually one of my one of my favorite things I've
ever done. Because the writings in cyrillic, you know, which
is you know from from our part, they're they're looking
really good. Yeah, thanks, Bro, I appreciate that. And I
(32:36):
had a few people fig me up about your April
Fool's joke. That's your person, and I like they were
like yeah, they were like serious, is a Tradis Scott
really wearing a fake pair just in the picture? Come on, man,
it was funny if you gotta got a lot of
(32:58):
people with that one, bro that that post went nuts
like it has like I think it in trouble No, no,
not this time. Yeah, that's actually a story I've never
I've never shared that. It's funny because a lot of
the comments were like, yeah, Travis doesn't give a ship
what you think, or Travis doesn't care, like whatever, and
(33:20):
I was like, if only you knew. But just to
summarize it real quick for those of you listening, just
so you guys can kind of get an idea of
what happened. Stormy, his child, him and Kylie's daughter. I
was wearing a Supreme T shirt. It was like a
vintage Supreme Louis Vatan like monogram, but it wasn't the
(33:40):
Louis Vuitton collab yet. It was like the fake monogram
that they had done that they got sued about. And
they took an old old shirt I think the shirts
from like either the nineties or the early two thousand's,
I don't know, and they tailored it to fit Stormy
so their their daughter, and so many people were tagging
me and saying, oh, dude, like Stormies wearing a picture,
(34:02):
you should call her out and like me as a troll,
I commented on the picture and I said, I said,
I'm not about to bust a baby. L O L.
So I meant like, yo, you guys are tripping. This
is a baby, Like what what are you talking about?
I'm not gonna bust like come on, like even if
it was fake, I don't care to. It's a baby,
(34:25):
you know what I mean? And so I was trying
to troll the trolls, but Kylie got piste and she
responded to my comment, and then like five minutes later,
Travis was on the phone calling Andre and like, yo, dude,
put this fool on a three way call and like
all this stuff got super mad. He's like he's like, oh,
(34:45):
it's this fool out of his mind, like went crazy,
and which was funny. So we spoke with Travis and
you know, he's like, yeah, you gotta post a a
pick saying it's real and you got a comment like
all this stuff, and I'm like, okay, cool, and then
I did, and then they didn't like it or comment
on my photo, and I was like, all right, all right,
that's cool. Yeah, I see how it is. But this time, honestly,
(35:07):
I was I was a little bit scared that he
was going to get pissed, but we were okay this time.
That's a that's a funny story. Yeah, dude. The that
post got shared like almost forty thousand times. Yea, and
so many people were you know what you're doing. I
(35:28):
appreciate And it's funny because last year I did the
same thing, except with Kanye. I said Kanye I was
wearing fake easies and I actually, dude, that one went
crazy too. But next next year I'll get a little
bit more creative. But yeah, that was funny. Do you
(35:48):
have a favorite sneaker that it doesn't have to be
a basketball shoot? Could be anything I've I've seen you
where you're yeezys. I know you really like those. I
know you love Ultra Boos. You love Converse or no Vans?
Right or no Converse? No, I'm not Converse. I wear
I wear some Mans, but not my favorite. What would
you say is your favorite? Man? It's it's still because
(36:10):
I'm not able to you know, I can't I can't
pick out of pick out of shoes. Yeah, but I
love Ultra boost Man. So out of the Adida shoes,
you would say Ultra boos is your favorite. Yeah, for sure.
It's super comfortable. You've got a bunch of colorways, and
most importantly, they got them in my size. Yeah, yeah,
(36:35):
I gotta go with Ultra Booze because you know, it's
I can choose out of a lot of pairs, Like
I got some musies, but only a few pairs. So
that's that's why I'm not choosing. It's because certain ones
they don't make them, or they don't make them in
your size at all. Right, what's the biggest pair of
easies that they have, like a seventeen? No, I got
uh those volume ones in size of eighteen. Okay, and
(37:00):
you know they put me pretty good. I had two parents,
but I gave a parent to my brother. I think
I told you that story they got eat them by
by a dog. But uh yeah, when I told me
how much they go for and he went crazy. Yeah,
why don't you re tell that story a little bit? Well?
(37:21):
What was that colorway? Yeah? So the data send send
them to me size a team. He wears a side
sevent team but you know, it was easy. So he
wanted he wanted to he wanted to have a pair,
and I just got drafted. So I took like two
suitcases with me and I was as a gift. I
(37:43):
left him a parent those easiest and uh, you know,
he he was super happy. But he wore them. He
wore him. I I don't know for a little bit,
and I don't know why. But one day he just
left under the doors. I guess they were smelling bad,
but I don't know what happened. But who loved them
out there? The next day they were like the holes.
(38:04):
And then there were you know there were too. Was terrible,
Like a few months later, I told them like how
much I showed it, how much they go for and
it was it was so mad. It was like if
I knew that, I wouldn't even I wouldn't even wear that.
I was just sell them. But we've got a reseller
over here. Yeah that's a story about that pair. And
(38:28):
then I got the other pair, the black pair, wearing
them all the time for I got them for about
four years. So it's crazy to me. Every time I
see where those I'm like, I'm like, those are huge,
like they're like twice the size of my shoe. It's crazy,
And you just made every single sneaker head listening to
this podcast cringe because, dude, I've heard so many stories
(38:52):
of people getting there their shoes like eaten by dogs,
which is part of the reason why I don't have
a dog. Actually, honestly no, because I traveled too much.
But if I did have a dog, I would put
all my shoes like at least six ft above the
ground so they wouldn't even be able to get to
the shoes. But I've heard horror stories of people getting
like five six dollar sneakers just ruined by their dogs.
(39:14):
And you can't like fix that, you know you can.
It sucks and it is what it is. So he
still got the pair, but it's it's not in a
good shape. Yeah, I think I think you sent me
a picture now. Yeah, So what about what about like streetwear?
Like are you into any streetwear? I know you're into
high end fashion, Like I always see you one a
designer and we've tried to get you in some supreme
(39:37):
but they don't make anything above an Excel. Every time
I go to a warehouse, we were paid the same story.
Like you got something that continue me, And he's like, yeah, man,
I got I got a bunch of set that you
So he started bringing out stuff I tried on, nothing
fits me, and then we go a good He's like,
(39:59):
oh I got something in the back, so he brings
that out, try it on with me. And every time
I got to the warehouse, it's it's like down. But
it was one time I went there with my two friends,
it was just him. We stayed there until like three
or four am, like going through every box in the warehouse,
like trying to find something that fits. Man. We couldn't
(40:21):
find anything. It's crazy, like I was only able to
get a few pieces in two years. Well, you know,
every time every time I get to the warehouse, traits like, yeah, man,
I got a bunch of studs that can fetch you.
You know, Dre he's an expert salesman. Oh man, And
when he gives me that family discount, you know what
(40:43):
I'm talking about the family This kind is he adds
on top for you. I'm kidding. His his man. He
helped me a lot with with a lot of stuff.
It sucks that you don't have more stuff much size.
But every time he gets some who's He's like, you're
the first person i'm you know, I'm every time he
(41:05):
finds a piece, he texts meant that whenever we get
anything that we feel like might fit you, we just
put it to the side. We just put a sticky
nut on it with their name, just just in case.
But you know, what's a crazy piece. I don't know
if this is the only Supreme item that comes into
Double XL, but there's a Friends and Family purple on
(41:28):
white box logo T shirt. I can't remember. I think
it's three six Mafia. I can't remember. I can't remember
exactly who it was for, but whatever, it's like a
Friends and Family purple on white box logo and that's
one of the only Supreme shirts that comes into Double XL.
And it's huge, Like it's big, Like I don't know, why,
(41:50):
why why we didn't try that on? Well, this is
the thing. It's not at the warehouse, is at Drey's house.
And second of all, dude, those those shirts are like
a three dollars, They're super super rare, and like, I
don't know if you would want to spend that much
on a T shirt, I sure as hell wouldn't, but
I mean, if you want to try it on and
(42:11):
flex and if you really like it, it'll for sure
fit you that I know, we'll fit you for sure.
We gotta get them to make some stuff into it.
So man, seriously, Man, Supreme Supreme so weird because they
have so many customers who are a double XCEL or
a triple XL. You know, you know, I gained a
little bit of weight. I'm still an L. But you
know there's some there's some bigger guys who they just
(42:34):
simply they can't wear Supreme. And it's it's suns, you know,
so they just become rest. I got a bunch of
I have a bunch of teammates. You know, they cannot
they cannot find anything right where you know, the Lowes Supreme,
but they just anything in their size. Well, what's your
favorite fashion or high end or whatever brand? I love, wife,
(42:58):
it's probably the best that brand that fits the best
I can. Most of their stuff is in a tot
cell and it's oversized, so oversized, so I can I
can put in most of it. And you know, I like,
I like being cozy and not like you know, tai
(43:19):
jeans or whatever. That's that's definitely my number one brand
off Flight, Yeah, I got you. Well, it's funny because
Offlite sizing is so weird. I have certain off White
pieces that are a size small, and I have some
that are a double XL that's true, and they fit
(43:39):
the same. It's crazy. Like, so if if I can
fit in a size small, you could probably get away
with like a large and certain pieces because they're so big.
Actually you're probably I'm just trying to be nice, but
it's yeah, definitely, like I can put it in a
(44:03):
bunch of stuff, but then some stuff was like cooks,
so like you would think it would fit perfectly, but
it's just too small. Yeah. Well, I'm happy that we
were able to find you that Star Wars hoodie and
that was I love that dude. It's fire and we
have the same one. So next time there's some Star
(44:24):
Wars event, we gotta we gotta wear it, oh for sure,
matching yeah, hell yeah. And then Dre has it too,
so yeah, yeah, the three Musketeers pulling up in the
same honey, that would be funny. I'm man, we can't
say some stories are here about uh you know that's
(44:47):
too but uh yeah, there's certain certain things that will
keep off the microphone. You know, maybe maybe in the future,
but I definitely I am not gonna pay you off
because you know, but then vice versa too. Yeah, but
(45:09):
you know that's those are all good memories regardless, you
know what I mean, some of them better memories for
you than me, of course, but but yeah, we're definitely
not going to talk about that one. Yeah, yeah, but yeah, dude,
(45:29):
I'm I'm so happy that, um, you're able to come
on the show. I know you're so busy, so I
always like appreciate whenever, uh, like dude, like whenever you're
free man, Like you know, it's always like a pleasure
hanging out and appreciate you for coming on the show. Like, yeah,
that's that's pretty much. But we always talk about like
(45:49):
sneakers in streetwear with everyone who's on the show. But
I've had a bunch of friends on who don't know
anything like at all about sneakers are streetwear. So it's
cool because we get to see kind of backstories. But
and like really cool people, And I mean that's one
thing that I like the most because there's so many
people who I just want to like. No, because I
learned some things about you today that I didn't know before,
(46:11):
and I know a lot a lot of people who
are your fans and your supporters who want to learn
more about you. It would be like really cool for
them to you know, Yeah, for sure, for sure, I'm
gonna I'm gonna got to do this. Yeah, absolutely, man. Well,
if you could leave with saying anything to like, you know,
leave leave off with whatever you want. It doesn't have
to be like special or a quote. You could literally
(46:32):
just say, okay, follow me on Instagram at dadda or
like whatever you want. How would you I'm gonna put
you on the spot here. So, uh to everyone listening
to this, it's more supporting my boy us. But he's
the best of what you do and you know he's
not going to disappoint you. I appreciate that, bro, Thank you,
(46:55):
and then go follow my boy Vizza on Instagram. Go
support him the games, even if you're not a Clipper fan,
make sure you guys are supporting him regardless, which is
kind of like what I have to do. But uh no,
I'm just kidding. No, I'm joking. I'm joking, but um no,
and all honestly though, I do I do support like
(47:16):
the team, and you of course. So I'm always really
happy to see you guys. We're winning when you come
to the game, you wouldn't take Yeah, that is true,
I'm telling you, bro. Like even one time, I think
I was supposed to go to a game and I
didn't go and the team you guys played wasn't that
great and you guys lost, and I was like, if
I was there, if I was there and we'd be
(47:37):
we we'd beat some Toke games when you were there.
So yeah, man, well, I mean I'm looking forward to
the season opening back up, so I can, you know,
come watch you win and watch you kill it. So dude, yeah,
I'm I'm I'm so happy for you. I'm so proud
of you to keep feeling it. Thanks for coming on
one more time and go check out on Instagram or
I guess check them out on TV when the next
(47:59):
game is Well anyway, guys, appreciate you guys for tuning in,
and I'm gonna catch you guys next week on Legit check.
Thank you one more time for coming on, Bro,
