Speaker 1 (00:00):
Levels to. This is an iHeart women's sports production in
partnership with Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment. You can find
us on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Hey, everybody was going on, it's your girl, Trica Foster
Brasby what it do, y'all?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
It's your girl Cheryl swoops.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
And this is the levels to this podcast. This is
a show where we talk about all types of shit
that women go through.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
And of course we're.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Gonna have a great show, but I'm gonna call my
own self out today.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I feel a little frazzled.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Because your girl was late as hell getting sid I
was ten minutest on this record.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I need, I need, I need because I still owe
you a few. I'm just marking one off. And then
you came on. I was like, where you be? I know,
and I got and I got nothing but a hand.
I got a hand.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
That's it. I gotta wave to weigh a.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Hand that wasn't even a wave. That was a.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
That was a quick bring quick bringing up stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
But don't tell I'm here for hell talk away.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
No, honestly, I was late because you're all mute.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
See that's right. There now further, lets the let us
know that the world don't want people to know the
real reason why I was late. Oh no, oh no,
the world wants to know. And if the world doesn't.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I do.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
It's not as good as people think it is. But
I was late because I was literally so I got
off of a meeting and I started getting mad emails
and I was literally making my calendar for All Star
like literally was literally sitting here in front of the
computer plugging in all of the parties and events that
I'm going to in my calendar on All Star. And

(01:43):
then I looked at my phone and got a message
from Zoe that was like, hey, We're on, And I said,
oh shit, I'm supposed to be recording.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, because you know what, I was about to Textion
and be like, bitch, where are you? You're waiting on you?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Why?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Why?

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I I had a meeting today and when I got
off the meeting, I was like, I have got to
get all of my All Stars stuff because there's always
so much going on during All Star Week that I
have to like literally put it all in my calendar
or el I even sent you a calendar invite.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Ain't that some ship to parties, no to the recording, recording,
no better to send you an invite you ain't coming.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I know your calendar is full.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
My calendar is it is stressful. Like my calendar gives
me anxiety.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
It's so bad, okay, you know, because i'd like I
like to try and get sleep. I don't get to
sleep very much when I'm home and just going. So
when I like All Star, I'm excited about I'm excited
about seeing people, but I get so excited with the
thought of actually being able to be in my room.

(02:57):
Order room service, stay in my pajamas, no hair, no makeup,
eat a good greasy pizza and fries. I did say
that it's just like just chill. That's what I want
to do. You know what that's that's that's not a
bad day.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Like I feel like I would love to do that,
like on a regular weekend.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I just can't do that when I get it, I know.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
But you know the problem is cause you know, I
don't be in the streets, not even one with the teeth.
But when Brandon comes and then you and Brandon get together,
y'all try to plot stuff to get me out the house.
Let me get on my bro right now, he's coming.
But I know I listen, y'all showed you ass when

(03:43):
we were at Fanatics, so I know I know both
of you now, So yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
As a matter of fact, last year, let me tell
you how me and Bee get down.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
That's my bro.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
We've been getting down so hard that last year at
All Star, we were in Phoenix and we went to
some party.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I can't even re remember with the.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Name of this party, Wills, because we were at the
Jordan party and you was like, I'm out of here,
I'm leaving.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
So b was like, I ain't leave it. I'm chilling.
So we're like cool, were chilling, We're gonna kick it.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
We went to some party that was like right across
the way and the line of Gideon was so long
it was literal w NBA players waiting in the line
to get in and me and be and there, like
but we ain't here though.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Oh my gosh, of course of.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Course, like this is their weekend. How we in here
and they still waiting in line? That is crazy? Like no,
so we're definitely gonna have Okay, what's.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
The one party you're really looking forward to going to
at All Star?

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Well, I feel like, because we should probably say this
for company purposes, we might be having an I There's
an iHeart event that's going on, So I am excited
to be at the iHeart event later that evening.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
But outside of that one.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
I always always, always have a great time at Together's event.
Together always has an event for Final four. They always
have an event for All Star.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Like.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Being at a Together event is like literally a family reunion.
Everybody's there, everybody cuts loose in. I know I'm gonna
have a ball, So I'm definitely looking forward to that one.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
I got you. You're right. I'm actually looking forward to
our party iHeart because you know, there's so many of
us and to be able to finally like come together
in one place and not and not have to work,
but like have a time or two, a drink or

(05:45):
two or three and just five. Yeah, just I didn't
go to high. I didn't go to high. But just
kick it right, just kick it and have a good time.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
That's yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I'm looking forward to it because that's probably the only
party I'm gonna go to.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, that's facts, and so we gonna take full advantage
of it. Let me make sure I tag along with
be so we can put our plan in motion.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
And keep you outside.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
But yes, I'm excited about that event, and I am
also excited to know because at the time of this record,
and we do not know who is yet participating in
the All Star three Point Contest or the Skills Challenge.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
So do we know who like replacements are? And we're
just saying this because I'm a saying I don't know.
Asia's probably not gonna play.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
That could be an option. Asia may not play. So
if you've been under a rock over the last couple
of days, Asia Wilson injured her wrist in the matchup
against New York and she has been ruled out of
some upcoming matchups that Vegas has headed into the All
Star breaks, so they have not given us a true
timetable of when Asia's gonna return. But it's just fair

(06:54):
to assume that she's probably not gonna play in the
All Star Game. Yeah, so we don't know who her
replay might be. But if you could take a guess,
you know, and does anybody come to mine of who
you think could take because age is a starter, so
like you're gonna have to really you don't have to

(07:14):
really pick a replacement for her.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
So here's my question. The replacement that gets picked by
the commissioner, do are they a starter or does the
captain get to decide who starts in Asia's place?

Speaker 3 (07:32):
That's a very good question.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I can't honestly say that I know, because I don't
think we've had a situation, at least to my recent memory,
where a starter.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Needed to be replaced.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
I have seen recently reserves needing to be replaced, but
starters I have not seen. And so if it were me,
I would prefer for the captain, which in this instant,
which would be Caitlin, to decide who starts that from
maybe somebody already on her team, and then have eas
be a reserve.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Well yeah, so if it was somebody on her team, yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I'm sure she's going with Aleah Boston.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Well, Aliah Boston, isn't she already a starter for who?
She's already she was already a voter to starter, wasn't
she was she? Yeah, Aliah was already voted to starter.
She was her first pick.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah, she sure was.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
So Like when I look at her reserves, which go
by the way a rookie, you might, you might, you might,
you might But first, let me say this though. Shout
out to me and you for being badasses and practically
nailing and time out.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
We need to talk about this on the next level.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah, no, we you know what this whole podcast has been,
the damn next level.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Let's go ahead and take this to the next level.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Today has already been a day's I haven't even been
able to transition into our segments properly.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
That is a wild That is a first.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
So you, for those who are wondering, you just prove
to everyone that you are human. I am my gosh,
it's okay to be human.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
I am Lord, have mercy.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
So we're talking about All Star, right, yeah, yeah, we've
got it's gonna All Stars this week. It's gonna be
a lot of fun. I know I'm headed there on Thursday,
well tomorrow, I'm head of to tomorrow, and I think,
surel you headed to tomorrow too. So oh no, today
is Thursday, So I don't know what day it is.
But we go in there this week, and so when
we get there, when we get there, we are gonna

(09:47):
have a good ass time. But what I would love
for us to do is toot our own horn, because
last week we did a mock draft for the w
NBA All Stars, and we put that mock draft out
on social media and we had some folks was like,
you know, okay, that's cool, it might look like this.
We don't know, and damn it if me and Cheryl
didn't have almost the exact same rosters that they actually checked.

(10:14):
The only one that we missed is that I said
that Fee would take Jackie Yep and Caitlyn would take Skyler.
It actually Feed took Skyler and Caitlyn took Jackie.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
That was the only one we missed.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
So everybody out there who acting like me and Cheryl
don't know what the blank we'd be talking about when
it comes to this.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Basketball shit, tell wrong, tell them again, we do this. Yeah,
we ain't new to this.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
We ain't new to this. We know the rosters.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Yeah, you know. I was sitting there watching. I was like, oh, okay,
check we got that one right. Check we got that
one right. And then when the Jackie Skyler and I was.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Like, oh, I pro probably should have No, you know,
I ain't even gonna say that because in my mind,
I was like, for Caitlyn when they when she plays against.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Skyler, like her and Skyler go at it. But also
when she plays against Jackie, her and Jackie go at it.
So I mean it could have been either one.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
But uh, you know what about us, I know because
at least you had a real theory and why you
pick Skyler. I picked Jackie because I literally overlooked Jackie
on the roster. I forgot the sister was still up there.
That's why she was ten. Because people was like, dang,
you picked Jackie ten, and I'm like, honestly, I ain't
see Jackie name until I was like, wait a minute.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Jackie's still up here.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Of girl.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
We got to put Jackie on the squad.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
And you know what else, I loved how people were
like commenting like swoops, you know you my goat you,
my girl. But I got to go with Tea and
the people were like Tea, my girl, girl. I think
a swoop squad about the bust your head?

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah yeah, yeah. That was so may.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
It was really a lot of fun and so thanks
everybody was who who are really engaged with us and
engaged with that content. But with all that being said,
we got into this conversation about who could potentially replace
Asia Wilson in the event that she is unable to
participate you to an injury to her risk. And so
as I'm looking at the rosters currently, I feel like

(12:27):
number one, let's just be clear, it ain't gonna be
easy ever to replace an Asia.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Wilson on nobody's roster.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
I don't care if it's an all star roster. I
don't care if it's the real Draver. I don't care
what it is. Like, you ain't gonna replace no Agia Wilson.
So that's that's neither here nor there. But Team Clark
she has Kayla, who's a big well she not, she's
not in that respect. No, But I mean if I'm
looking at people who could replace her, because Sato is

(12:57):
also on her team and sat because like like, so
that means that two people on Team Clark are gonna
have to be replaced. Because to was in a walking
boot last week, so she ain't playing either.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Most likely, I don't.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Know she was in a walking boot last week. She
was in a walking boot, That's what I'm saying. She
heard herself in it. I forgot what game Phoenix was playing,
and she hurt herself, and I think the I think
the walking boot was precautionary but at the same time,
I don't foresee her risking playing in an All star game.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
No, not a Well, here's what I'll say to you,
the fact that you know, if Asia nor sat are playing,
your squad might have a chance.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Feed don't make me look bad out here, dog, you.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Got to come because a lot of ship no.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
CC already know CC gon't be like I know. Kaitler
was like, I'm drafted players. I can have fun and
I get it. Yeah, the all start it is supposed
to be fun. But when I look at her roster,
you got she do them dogs? Ain't she's trying to
I just think that you know, teen fee te fee.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Got some vets who like, listen, we gonna play. But
I don't like to lose, you know what I mean?
And like that's what That's what.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
I love to see. I just love to see the
vets be like, yo, I still got it.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
And what was so cute is when she's like, I'm
hoping my baby Husky was stupid. Don't worry about it
since your baby Husky was absolutely still gonna be there
for you.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Go page.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Yeah, that was nice. That was nice of Caitlin to
let her have her baby husky. But to your point
with vets, I hear you, because the experience is there,
and if this was any other game besides an All
Star game, I might go there with you. But because
she has all the vets, I'm gonna be like, girl,
we are not trying to do all that trying to

(14:55):
play versus you got rookies, right, you got Sonya, you
got Kiki, you got Gabby a first time All Star,
you got Caylea Thornton, the first time All Star. Like
they're gonna be like, oh my goodness, we're so excited
to be here. These young bucks go yes, like absolutely.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
I deserve thy.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Okay, well, I mean yes, I could see Kiki probably
getting the front court start if we're if Caitlyn is
picking from her current team.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
To replace Asia, Yeah, I could.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Definitely see her getting a front row of a front
court star in place of Asia, especially if Satu is
unable to play, because Satu. If Satu was playing, she
would be my first pick to replace Asia.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
But I could see I could see that.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
So but now, just in general, two players, which is
so tough because the front court was already stacked. But like, now,
who do you think would be viable replacements to play, Like,
who do you think, just off the top of your head,
if you can't think of anyone that has had a

(16:06):
fairly good season where you would be like, you know
what if if you had to be a replacement All.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Star Deerica Handy and who and there's one more.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Well, there's two for me really if we're not talking
about position or Britney Sykes, yeap, Britney Sykes should be
an All Star. But then if we're talking about positions,
I'm gonna go with Deerica Handy and I would go
with Azure Stevens.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
See, I thought me and you were gonna be on
the same exact page, but almost.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Yeah, I was thinking front court, front court. Who you
going Jones?

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yep, Yeah, I think either one of them though, you know,
you can't really go wrong because I think they.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Both agreed, agreed, agreed one. Yeah, that's that's exactly what
I was thinking. I was like, Deerica and Bree Jones,
if we're doing front court for front court, to me,
should be your instinct instant read like that that would
be me. So yeah, we're on the same page. Yeah,
on the same page, on the same page for sure.
Three point Contests. Like I said, they have not yet

(17:04):
named anybody. I would love to see Alicia Gray get
back in there to kind of re see if she
can do a repeat. She's the first person in history,
men's or women's to win both the Skills Challenge and
the three Point Contest because she did so last.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Year and got her a nice bag.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I mean, the bag was hitting.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
So would love to see her get back into three
point contest.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
I would think she would.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
I would love to see Sabrina compete again.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
I think she should get in it.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Me too, I'd love to see Kate I get.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Love to see Caitlin actually play, she said. And you
know what's interesting, I think she might because she mentioned
previously when they were talking about having the WNBA versus
NBA situation, that she did not want herpeat in the
NBA's Contest until she had first competed in her own
So what better time, YEP to do so than right
here in Indiana in front of your home crowd for

(17:59):
the first time as a team captain.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Like that would be monumental.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
I think for any player to want to have that
kind of a that kind of an opportunity, So that
would be dope.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, I mean you're at home. You know your fans
will love to see you. I did think I saw
something where Sonya was like, yep, I'm competing on and duh.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Kelsey should definitely do it. I think, come on, Wallet
should get in it. I mean, I know she's not
like technically voted to be an All Star this season,
but if it's anybody who know how to shoot their rock, honey,
how many championships in national championships?

Speaker 3 (18:36):
Irique one?

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Definitely off the fact that she could let that thing
go from deep, So no doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
I think she would be great to get in it too.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Kelsey plumb, Kelsey plumb. Do we want to see Kelsey
in the three point?

Speaker 3 (18:49):
That would be fun.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
So if there's a big, a big to get into
three point a big and.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
A three point contest who can shoot very well from
deep as a big, I know, I'm pretty sure I
know that I'm overlooking somebody.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Has Necka been shooting the three ball?

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Well, I haven't really paid that much attention to her
percentage from deep.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
I think Tina could have did it.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Faie yes, well yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Yes, yeah, yes, fa could wrap for the Banker rep
for the Bigs.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
She sure could she shut coult. I think I think
Tina Charles could rep for the Big. Tina still got
a Tina.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
No Tina still she has she does. She took a
nice shrow from Jay. Tina definitely could get in and
red for the Bigs.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
That'd be dope.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I think they should have a big a big three
point contest and a guard three point contest and the
winner from the Guard. She think it's the winner from
the Big. Oh, that would be.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
A good idea.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
I'd be fun because if Asia wasn't hurt, I think
Asia could get in there, definitely rep.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
For the bigs.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
It would be fun.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
That would be fun.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Oh, I like that something different.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Kathy.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
We know you're listening to this podcast because you obviously
listen to her back as. Go ahead and take that
idea and run with it. Make sure you give my
girl credit. I love that. Drink some water that is too.
You almost made me choke.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
That is so funny. Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Okay, so when we come back, y'all, we got to
talk about this one thing. And I wasn't gonna say nothing,
but I'm gonna say something because because I got to.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
All right, Oh, dang okay, alrighty, and I don't know
what it is.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
She don't know what it is, but we'll be back
in three two one. I love having this conversation with you, Cheryl,
because at the end of the day, there's no one
better to understand what it means to have your own
and you were the.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
First to have your own shoe.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
And last week Angel Reeves had the ability to debut
her own signature shoe on.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
The cover of NBA two.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Kay Con says, yes.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
And I think that Angel is having an amazing year.
She instantly talked about a couple of weeks ago, how
she didn't think she started the year off right, how
she didn't think she was playing her best basketball, how
she wanted to shape up.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
And she did that right.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
She turned it around, continuing to set double double records,
continuing to you know, unfortunately sometimes they are in losing efforts,
but it's not because of Angel. She is doing the
damn thing. Then she trade marked her me bounds. Then
she debuted her own shoe. Not like Angel is doing it.
I love it, like on and off the court. Yeah,
so why people keep playing on her name?

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Oh gosh, really, are we having this conversation.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
We are we are because I, yeah, we need to
it took. I like to pick my battles wise you know,
I like to fence West.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Why are we doing that?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
I don't know, right, I like to pick my battles wisely.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
And I feel like sometimes things just can't be properly
conveyed on social media. So sometimes i'd be like, you
know what, Nope, I'm not even It's not that I
don't want to say nothing agreat, but I'm gonna just
wait to the show or I'm gonna just wait until
I got an actual platform where I can be expressive
in the way that I want you. Because social media
is gonna come across wrong. It ain't enough characters. I
refuse to pay eline twelve dollars to tweet longer. And

(22:25):
for that matter, if I ain't reading your long ass tweet,
I really don't want you to read my So it is.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
What it is, right because I'm not doing that. I'm
not reading your paragraphs.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yeah, that's what we're not going to do that. We're
not going to do that, but we're not going to
do that.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
I really wish there are some folks who would learn
to stay in their lane as it relates to certain things.
And Robert Griffin, the IID posted a tweet about calling
out racism, calling.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Out we don't want you, but go ahead, keep going, said, first.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Of all, I ain't even seen this picture nowhere except
on Robert's tweets, like where they at?

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Like where?

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Like who else is sharing it? Because I didn't see
it since you posted it, and I haven't seen it
since you posted it, So that's number one. Number two,
you could have easily just said, you know, racism is
never something that we would need to play that the
narrative that we never need to continue to drive, you know,
be respectful to.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
These women, blah blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
But you had to be extra as fuck. And I
am over it. I am over it. Now Here's the thing.
I used to work with Robert Griffin. Third, I used
to work with him at ESPN and I was in
ESPN Social and as a social specialist, it was my
job to cut his clips and send him clips and
send him content and send him things that he could
therefore use for his own social media. And I would

(23:48):
clip countless clips for him and send them to him.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
We used to use this app called Greenfly.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
I used to send him all this shit on green
Fly for him to be able to use so he
can pump up and help elevate his social media. He
never used them. Hours of my time I would spend,
he would never use them. He would then instead create
his own do his own thing, and yet still request
stuff from me from my office, from our stuff. And
so it's like I say this to say, you learn

(24:17):
about people's character.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Now.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
I'm not trying to say I know this man personally
to the level where I will call him names or
anything like that, because I don't know him that will.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
We work together.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
We were colleagues, and the impression that I got about
his character is that he had an ability to be selfish,
because why on earth would you let somebody else waste
hours and hours and hours of their time only for
you to turn around and not use not a single
bit of it, not send them a thank you, not
say you know what, don't worry about it.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
I'm not going to do it this time.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
It came across as very discourteous and very selfish.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
And the more that I.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Continue to see him step into this women's basketball conversation
as it relates to Kaitlin, Honey, I can't like those
same characteristics making it about you being selfish, be like
adding adding stuff in it.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Don't got nothing to do with nothing.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
We straight over here, brou we straight over here. We
don't need that, We don't need any more of that.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
So I had to bring.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
This to this forum, into this platform because I'm sick
of it. I'm sick of our women in this league
being disrespected, and I'm sick of people trying to use
these tactics of I'm trying to stick up for you.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
I'm trying to have your back. You're not. You're not.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
This is not how you stick up for someone. This
is not how you have their back. Stay in your lane,
and your lane ain't even the lane that you are
doing well in. If we're being completely honest, Oh damn
you ain't you ain't you ain't doing the best in
the football lane, the damn self.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
If you're being honest.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
I want to add something, but I don't know what
to add because.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
You just said it all like I'm over it.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
I'm tired. So I just was having this conversation with
someone yesterday and you know why you can talk about
you know, because people are quick to say, well, y'all
should be happy that people are watching now. People they're

(26:24):
selling out arenas. Hello, we were selling out arenas back
in the day, right, So that's not new. Are there
more eyes, more visibility? One hundred percent? And it's great,
But we don't need all of the extra stuff. And
Robert Griffith third, we absolutely don't need you over here,

(26:45):
because it wasn't it was not that long ago when
you were one of the ones sitting up there having
all these not so good things to say about angelies.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
So I promise.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
You Angel's good. Angel don't need you. She don't need
none of y'all over there on the other side to
take up for her and have her back. She's good.
Here's what I like, so Angel said, and I pulled
it up because I want to get it right in
response to what he posted some of our racism and
all that really anyway, So she just said, lying on

(27:18):
this app when everybody know the first and last name
of everybody in my circle for clout is nasty work.
Like angels circle is very very very very small. I
don't even know if she has a circle, says she
might have an art.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
She got an art n'ose.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Yeah, like, what are you doing? It's people like you
that keeps up, keeps up. My mom used to say,
the mess and confusion, I promise you, nobody in her
circle reached out to you, said anything to you. Ain't
nobody don't even talk about you on a daily basis,
Like stop doing that.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
And her mama said it too.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
She did.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
And the other issue I have is can we just
celebrate all of the greatness that's going on in women's basketball,
because there's a lot of greatness.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
A lot.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
I for one, am ecstatic to see Angel Reese on
the cover of NBA two K six. I love that
for her, I love that for the game. I love
that for us, you know. I love that for black
women and for every little girl out there and little boys,

(28:34):
because you know, they play the games. I think it's
so great that they can go and look at the
game and look at the cover and see a male
athlete and a female athlete. Yeah, regardless, black, white, brown ORNs,
that doesn't matter. But the fact that they chose Angel
Reese for a reason.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Yep, yep, And I'm not going to be mad at it, yep, yep.
One hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
These women are so impactful in their communities. I was
watching a video the other day at the end of
the New York game where this little boy was so
happy to see Sabrina Unescul literally was in tears. She
gave him his shoes, sign, signed her shoes when she
gave them to him, signed his sign, and then literally

(29:24):
wiped away his tears because he was so ecstatic to
see her and meet her when they were taking a picture.
Like that is the impact that these women have in
this world. That is the impact that little boys and
little girls now grow up not knowing that women don't
play basketball or never play basketball. They don't know a
world where the WNBA doesn't exist. No, Like that is

(29:46):
an incredible thing to have. And what we don't need
are people who are saying that they are trying to
eradicate racism and have people's back, while at the same
time continuing to perpetuate a new narrative that not only
brings divisiveness to this league, but continues to bring divisiveness

(30:07):
between two people. Yeah, who are kids who are trying
to say stop this shit, Like, stop this shit, it
doesn't make any sense, stop it, hate it.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
So I had to bring this up.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
True, No, and I'm glad you did because to that point,
like you like them, love them, hate them, whatever, Like
everybody keeps trying to pit Angel and Caitlin against each other,
and I would be willing to bet that both of
them they want to compete, they want to play hard,

(30:41):
they want to continue to collect the bag because they
are collecting the bag. And me just just let them
be and let them be great in who they are
on the court, off the court, what they're doing. But
all the extra shit that we're getting from outsiders, I'm
gonna call them outsiders because y'all just got y'all just
got here last year, I said, and now all of

(31:04):
a sudden, you know everything about the players, you know
everything about the WNBA, and you know everything about the
women's basketball game. I would beg to differ and say, no,
you don't go away.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Yeah, I mean, bottom line, go away, go away, please
go away. I remember years ago, Rob Parker was on
First Take. This is when he used to be appearing
on ESPN. He was on First Take and RG three
was still playing football at the time, and he said,

(31:36):
RG three is what we call a cornball brother, and
we were like.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
I mean, not me. I wasn't there.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
I was actually not working at ESP at the time,
but I was like, but I knew Rob. Rob from Detroit.
He's a Detroit due. He was a Detroit baseball writer.
He used to write for the Free Press. So I
was like, got new Rib.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
I was like, damn Rob going hard on.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
That man on team, you know, because at the time he.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Was playing football, he was real loved. He was somebody
who people thought was gonna do great things. And you
know what's interesting about this, because I'm gonna put my
football I had on for a minute. What's interesting about
this is that he should know what this feels like
because he was drafted number two and my former quarterback,

(32:16):
Andrew Luck, the white boy from Stanford, was drafted number one,
and everybody kept continuing to compare Andrew Luck to RG three,
Andrew Luck to RG three, what are they gonna do?
And it was like, Andrew Luck was the holy Grilla football.
RG three was just kind of the guy that just

(32:36):
you know, his footwork ain't that good. His footwork wasn't
that good. But footwork ain't that good. And you know
he's gonna struggle when he get in the league and
not going and you know what he didn't got in
the league. When he got in the league, he actually
ended up helping Washington, a team that had not been
to the playoffs in years.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Get to their first playoff series.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Like, I feel like, more than anything, you should relate
to what Angel is going through because you came into
the NFL a villain compared to the great Andrew Luck.
Now y'all bet say the negative about Andrew Luck, but it's.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Just like, that's a great point. You should understand more
than anything what this is like.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
So yeah, I say all that to say a lot
of people that have been tweeting on social media, Rob
Parker wasn't wrong.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
He was just early.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
And I think that that's funny because at the end
of the day, he's absolutely very corny with the ship
that he's been doing and saying lately, and it's disappointing
to see.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
But we will.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Continue to uplift Angel and all women in the WNBA
