Elliott, why are you wearing your raincoats and boots?

It's so sunny. Cawie told me that it would be
raining today, April.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
I got you, Elliott. What ugh, I'm gonna get you back.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
It can't be fooled, Hey Cawie, this is unrelated. But
your shoes untied? Nice tried, Hey Lisa.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Nope, no one's fooling me either. Billy says he won't
be getting fooled either. But I've got an idea where
we can turn fooling into fun. Welcome to Stories for
Kids by Lingo Kids, where we discover fascinating facts about

In today's special episode, I will play a fun game
for April fools with the Lingo Kids Gang, while also
making sure we're thinking of others. Will the Lingo Kids
Gang get fooled? How about you, listeners, Let's get back
to the story. We're going to play a little game

(01:15):
of Simon says, I nan me do.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Could you remind me of the rules.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Of course, I am going to give you something to do,
but you can only do it if I say the words.
Simon says, could we get an example?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Simon says, say your favorite color, CAUI purple? Good? Say
your favorite color? Elliot?

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Red?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Gotcha? I didn't say, Simon says, before I asked you. Ugh,
this is gonna be hard. I like to think of
this game in two parts, memory and focus. Let's try
something before we start. For me, I'll give you some
colors red, yellow, blue, Lingo kids, listeners, you remember those two? Okay,

(02:08):
Now we'll do focus. I want you to stand on
one foot ready, Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Got it?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Boy? Whoa? Okay? Now?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Now do you remember the order of the three colors?
I told you purple? What it's hard to remember? Colors
won't balance it.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Exactly right, elliot? Lingo kids, listeners, have you ever forgotten
something because you were busy with another activity?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Okay, I think I'm ready for Simon says, now me too.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Let's do it all right, Lingo kids listeners, make sure
you play along too. Don't let the game fool you.
Simon says, touch your nose.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Easy.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Simon says, touch your toes.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
I should do more stretches.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Simon says, point to the ground.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Found it.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Simon says, dance around all right, We're going to move
a bit faster. Simon says, touch your chin. Simon says,
have a grin. Simon says, jug in place. Simon says,
make a funny face. Yeah, now touch your knees. Oops. Nice,

try Cowie, at that time, I didn't say. Simon says, ah,
you got me?

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Can I still keep playing?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Of course, it can be a bit tricky, but that's
why it's a good game for today. Remember perl Fool's
Day should be about harmless fun harmless. Well, sometimes we
can do or say something that we think is funny,
but someone else may not find it funny. No one
wants their feelings hurt. Do you understand.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I think so? Hey Elliott, Yes, did I hurt your feelings?
Why I tricked you about the rain?

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Well?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I do feel a little silly and raincoat and boots
on such a nice day, right, But you didn't hurt
my feelings. Cowie, I know you're my friend. Didn't care
about me? Oh good, but it did make me want
to beat you and Simon says, oh yeah, let's lay

in you're on, Cowie.

it can be a bit tricky to remember things when
we're focused on something else. Just like it can be
hard to think of others when we're making a joke,
