having a pajama party, and they're getting tips from a
very special guest who knows all about celebrating with family
and friends. Ziggy Marley is a nine time Grammy winner,

Emmy winner, musician, producer, humanitarian, and author with a long
history of creating for kids and families. You might know
his books I Love You Too, My Dog Romeo and
Music Is In Everything. He's also the eldest son of
reggae legends Bob and Rita Marley. Ziggy just released a

new picture book called Pajammin, all about the magic.

off the fun. So grab your favorite pajamas and get

Yeah, and now there are pillows everywhere. Look, Billy is
making a cozy little nest with the pillows. Good idea, Billy,

could fall right asleep in my nest.

Yeah, but I'm not tired yet, are you.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
No, I'm not tired at all. Billy says he is
wide awake. He wants to know what we should do next. Well,
lingo kids, friends, today we have a very special gas
who loves pajama parties and might have some ideas for you.

Ziki Marley is a musician and father from Jamaica. He
comes from a very musical family. His father, Bob Marley
and his mother Rita Marley are both reggae legends.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Wow, and your family likes pajama parties too.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Yeah, we had part We had impromptu parties, not planning parties.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Mostly growing up in Jamaica.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
Every now and again, we're at power cots with the
light would go off.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, I hope you had a flash light.

Speaker 6 (03:34):
We had like a lump and so that's that's the
time when my grandaunt would get all of us as
children and tell us stories.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Oh that's fun.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
And that was all kind of pig pajama party improm
two stead.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Like what we're doing right now?

Speaker 4 (03:52):
What's fun for us?

Speaker 6 (03:54):
I remember other times when it wasn't like lights. But
my father would would games with us and we're all
there and he would play a game.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Oh what kind of game, siggy.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
It's called hot and cold, where you would hide something
and have all the kids them trying to find it.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
And he would say, hot your hat or you call
your call.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Oh we should try it. Yeah, okay, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Okay, everyone see if you can find where I put
my dinos slipper?

Hmmm is it over here?

Freezing cold?

play music with you? Billy says he wishes he brought
his mandolin.

Sometimes you don't need a fine instrument. You know, your
body's an instrument.

You know. Really you can make a piano somewhere, a moment,
her anything. We don't need a lot of things to
make music.

We just need to understand to enjoy it, you know,
to enjoy music in all its different forms. Yeah, so,
