Speaker 1 (00:03):
Happy birthday, de Callie.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Happy Monday to you.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Bull the camels out caw we Okay, wait, first, you've
got to make a wish. A wish, Lisa is right,
You've got to make a wish.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
You can wish for.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Anything you'd like, Callie, anything I want. Well, I've already
had such a fun day. Got my friend of me,
I played games, a cake, open presents. Oh, I've got it.

(00:47):
I know what to wish for. I wish that I
could have this much fun all the time.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Welcome to Stories for Kids, BI Lingo Kid. It's where
we discover fascinating facts about the world around us and
the fun of play learning. Today we're talking about endless
fun and whether it's really a good thing or if
we sometimes need our breaks. Let's see how Calie does
after her birthday wish.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
All right, everyone, thanks for coming to my birthday. It's
been a long day. Guess time for you to leave?
No more, we're staying. Yeah, the fun jeep's going really
of course, Calie, Why would we need to stop having
fun because.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
We can have fun all of the time.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Oh, I know what's happening. I guess my wish came true.
This is going to be amazing. Come on, Kellie, over here, Cary, Callie.
Do okay, but don't we have cake already? Billy's right,

(02:05):
we get to have more, more cake, more fun. Okay,
sounds good to me. Oh, I'm stuffed. I think I'll
sit for a moment. And no time for suing, Calie.

(02:27):
We've got more games to play. Yeah, we're going to
spend a round and around and densey before we get on.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Cawie. If you need a little break from the fun,
it's okay to say so.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
A break from fun. No, this is why I wished
for the fun goes on? Say oh, I don't feel
fair well? Cake time cake again. I feel like I'm

(03:06):
going to be sick. No time for being sick, Callie.
There's fun to be had, but slen, No, let's play
day since you. I'm getting a bit tired. No way

(03:29):
tod for cakes? Sniggers hog Oh, no, guys, should we
take a break? Cuean cake? Oka?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Cake?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
My? What s where you're going? Callie? I just need
to go over here for a second. You're back, are
you okay? Kellie? No? I thought it would be great
to have fun all the time. I can't take it anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Why do you think that is?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I don't know it. Psych I've had so much fun
that it's not fun anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Do you think you could be overtired?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Overtired? What's that?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
It's when our bodies have zoomed past their regular rest time,
so we start to feel anxious or grumpy, when what
we really need is a break.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yes, that's exactly it.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
It's a good thing to recognize, Gali. Sometimes when we're
having fun, we feel like we never wanted to stop,
but we always need time to recharge.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
But I never thought I would need a break from
having fun.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
It's the breaks that make us appreciate the fun times.
If it's fun all the time, we can't really call
it fun, can we.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
But I still don't get why we need to take
breaks when I'm having fun, I don't want it to end.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Well, that's understandable, But if we get too overwhelmed or tired,
small things start to bother us that wouldn't normally.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, like party music, Yes, like party music.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
But if we rest up, we start feeling better, then
we can go back to having fun.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
I guess it's true, but I've already made my birthday wish.
You have to wait until next year to change it.
I can't wait that long.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, there are plenty of other ways to make wishes. Fuck,
the stars are coming out.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Oh good idea. Okay, I'll wish upon that star right there.
I wish that I can still have fun. Also a
plenty of time for other things too, like school and
nature and sleep. M Kellie Kelly, are you ready for more? Wow?

(06:14):
Aren't you got really tired all of a sudden?

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Ah?

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Me too? Wow?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Is that the time?

Speaker 1 (06:25):
It feels like today has been a big blur? Well,
you know what they say, time flies when you're having fun.
Happy birthday, Kellie, Yeah, a happy birthday, Thanks friends, and

(06:45):
good night.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Well, today we learned a valuable lesson. We all love
fun and games, having treats, but if we don't do
other things in between, we can become overtired and cry,
and that's not fun for anyone. It's important to have
balance and know that sometimes it's okay to ask for
a little break, even on your birthday. See you next time,
