Speaker 1 (00:00):
Are we faded to be together or not be together?
How do you read your own stars to find your
soul mate? Let's find out what's in the stars right now,
shall we? Hi? I'm Alicia Ray and I'm Sarah Wendell.
Welcome to Love Struck Daily, the show where we bring
you your daily dose of love. I'm in love with

(00:25):
the Eve Love, I'm in love with Kame. Oh my gosh.
I'm so excited. It is our first day, our first episode,
our launch episode. We're so excited to have you here
with us, and we're excited to tell you this story

(00:45):
and all of the stories we have to come. Today
we're going to be talking about astrology and about the
ultimate star Cross lovers um And who received a prophecy
about his future wife and literally rode his bike from
India to Sweden to Finder. I'm very curiously, Sha, do

(01:08):
you believe in astrology? You were telling me it's like
it was just part of your environment growing up, which
is very different from my experience. I'm sure you are
shocked to know. Yeah. I mean, Indians are very committed
to astrology, I think in general, and and of course
there's exceptions to that rule. But when children were born
into the family. When I was born, my mom did

(01:30):
like a star chart of my you know, birth and
my future. And I believe in it. I've seen too much,
too many things come true. What about you, I honestly
don't know, even if I'm skeptical, I honestly don't know
if that's that's something I would do. I have only
gotten into astrology on a very superficial level because I

(01:51):
sort of thought, Okay, well, this is my sign. That's good.
I know my sign, and you know that that that's
what I needed to know that Gemini Gemini twin we're
both Geminis were also. I'm sure that it will really
just appall you to know that I don't like being
told what to do. No, that is a shocker, Sarah.
I cannot believe it. I know you are shocked to

(02:15):
your core. I don't like being told what to do,
and I certainly don't want to planet telling me what
to do, let alone a whole bunch of them plus
some degrees. Then when you bring in the math, I'm like, Okay,
math definitely doesn't get to tell me what to do.
I don't know. I don't know if it's so much
as tells you what to do, or it just sort
of tells you what will be. Yeah, I like that.

(02:36):
So today I've got a story to tell you that
might help change your mind about astrology and love. And
to help me, I've invited celebrity astrologer Eliza Kelly to
join us on the show. A calumnist and best selling
author and hosts their own podcast, Stars Like Us, Please
welcome Eliza Kelly. Eliza, I know you are an astrologist.

(02:58):
Is that the correct term astrol astrologer astrologer? I mean, honestly,
like it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, Um,
but I think at least this astrologer prefers astrologer to
astrologist as preference. Al Right, good to know that's the
word I will use. May have known, And I do

(03:19):
not have a birth chart or a star chart or
any anything like that. Is that what you do if
I come to an astrologer, is that's part of what
you what you do professionally? Well, I've been doing this
for almost ten years. I have outscaled my ability to
be able to offer one on one readings anymore. Yeah,
just based on the volume, which is an incredible blessing.

(03:41):
But yes, for many many years it was the heartbeat
of my practice and I still work with a select
number of clients on a monthly basis who I've been
working with for many many years. That's so cool. So
the demand for astrology has gone up now it has. Yeah,
I can't imagine why people in a time of great
well one of an indication of what's going to happen.

(04:03):
I know, it's it's shocking and totally surprising. No one
could have ever seen it coming. So today we're gonna
be talking about Indian artist P. K. Mahananda. When he
was born, he received a prophecy from an astrologer. It
just basically gave him a glimpse of what his life
would be. The prophecy said that he would marry a
tourist woman from a far away land who owned a

(04:25):
forest and played a flute. This didn't make much sense
to his family, but they're like, okay, cool. So he
was an artist. He grew up to be an artist.
He moved to Delhi like he had nothing in his pocket,
moved to Deli and became like a portrait artist on
the street and he his whole thing was like in
ten rubies in ten minutes, I can paint your portrait.
One day, it was a winter evening and this woman

(04:47):
came by. Her name was Charlotte and she was from Sweden.
He described the first time seeing her as though he
didn't have any weight, and she asked for one of
his street paintings, and he was so nervous that he
couldn't do it. So she came back three times over
three days, and his fee was ten rupees and she
kept giving him twenty and he kept saying, no, no no, no,
I can't. I can't take money more money from you,

(05:08):
because you know I'm not. I'm not going to She
had a beautiful woman from from her money was smooth.
Piqua was so he had like a feeling about this
woman and he asked her was she had tourists, was
she from Sweden? Did she own a forest? And did
she play the flute? And her answer to all of
those things was yes, get out. And after several conversations,

(05:30):
you know, she was accepting of this. She was like, Okay,
well you know what, I'll see where this goes. And
she agreed to visit his home village with him, and
the first monument she saw when she got there was
the famous Knarc temple and she became very emotional because
this had been a temple that she had had framed
in her college dorm when she was younger, and she
had no idea where it was or what it was about.

(05:52):
And she saw it there and she was like, well,
this is a sign for me too. And they spent
the next several weeks together. His family loved her, but
she had to go back to Sweden. She said goodbye.
She said, please promise, you know that you'll follow me
there or that we'll talk. And more than a year passed.
They kept in touch through love letters, and he didn't
have enough to buy a plane ticket or to hit
to ride on a car, so he sold everything he owned.

(06:14):
He bought a bicycle and he followed her along that
same hippie trio and he just kept getting letters from
her along the way in Kandahar and Kabul. Instamable and
that like kind of kept him going. So he started
on the twenty second of January, he reached Europe and
of May and then finally traveled to her city by train. Wow,

(06:39):
and he said, you know, he was like, I still
don't understand why people think it was such a big
deal to cycle to Europe. I just did what I
had to do. I had no money, but I had
to meet her. So he was cycling for love, but
never loved cycling. And they they have been married for
about forty years now. They have two kids. And somebody

(07:01):
asked him to share the secret, you know, of their
happy marriage, and he said, I have one secret. There
is no secret. Marriage is a union not only physically
but also spiritually. When I enter the house, I parked
my ego outside. Ego is connected to the mind. I
call my human mind a mad monkey. But when you
park your ego outside, on the inside of the house,

(07:22):
there's only openness. It's a beautiful story. It really is
a lovely story, and I loved so much about it,
but especially the fact that as far as he was concerned,
this was written in the stars, and eventually, as far
as she was concerned, this was written in the stars.
And it sounds to me like a lot of astrology

(07:42):
is signs of things or signals that you recognize and
reflections of what's happening. Now, do I have that about right, Eliza? Yeah,
I think that astrology is a lot about signs, symbols,
synchronicity is patterns and sort of tuning yourself to those
frequencies so that you can be more receptive to the

(08:05):
opportunities that have the potential to change your life. In
your experience with something like this where it's a love story,
where it's a relationship. Have you seen other people brought
about together by astrology or by you know, something that
that you've told them or or something that they have

(08:25):
heard from another astrologer. Yeah. Absolutely, And I think in
a lot of ways, I'm I'm definitely like patient zero
in some ways for myself because I met my fiance
who I'm going to be marrying this year. We've been together, congratulation.
But the day too I came in with the charts,

(08:46):
I I, you know, at that point, it had been
enough years where I knew, listen, if someone wants to
date me, they're going to have to accept that this
is this is like my you know, like my second
language fluency after English is astrology. That what a cool
way to say that this is your fluency. And we

(09:07):
met on Tinder. In our initial conversation back and forth,
I we obviously you know, had to just jump straight
in talk about what signs we are, and he was.
He wasn't obnoxious, he wasn't minimizing the work that I
do and what my gifts and talents and also passions are.

(09:29):
So to see him be like, oh, I'm I know
that I don't know much, but I know I'm a
Capricorn rising. Well, I am a Capricorn rising. And by
the second date I had come in, you know, he
had given me all of his birth information, and I
came in with our charts, and I came in with
like diagrams and maps. You think I was making this up.
I had a tarot pamphlet from a deck that I

(09:49):
had just gotten and I was like looking through the
guide book. So so that was the scrap paper I used.
So I started to make diagrams on the second date
to try to illuminate why our compatibility was so great.
Our relationship is proof of the fact that the compatibility
was so strong and it wasn't just a fluke, and

(10:10):
that there was a correspondence between good compatibility from an
astrological perspective and a legitimate, long term, serious relationship. Wow,
but I mean that is that is part of it, right,
Like everything kind of leads you where you need to
be exactly. And I think that, you know, I would

(10:31):
love to live in a world where people are more
receptive to not who they think that they should be
with from an ego perspective, but who they're actually compatible with.
And whether you use astrology, is that tool for delineation
or therapy or whatever. Mortality. We are big fans of

(10:53):
therapy here. It's it's an integral part of a healing practice.
I think that astrology, like these other modalities, offers perspective
on multidimensionality. And I'm trying to, you know, put myself
in the place of a skeptic who might be listening
and might say, well, that probably would have happened to
her regardless of whether she consulted an astrologer or did

(11:15):
a birth chart or anything like, if she knew nothing
about anything, she would have maybe gone from single to
committed or you know, or they might have gone from
single to committed. So what would you say about that,
that that this wouldn't matter in the outcome of your life,

(11:35):
regardless whether you know or not. No, I don't really
talk to those people very often. That is an excellent attitude.
I I will say for those people that there's definite
ethics things that you know, legitimate astrologers ideo too, like

(11:55):
my uncle will not tell anybody about when they're going
to die or what's going to happen with their death
or anything like that. But if if I remember, because
I was at that point a few years ago where
I was just ready to give up. I was like,
this is love is not going to work out for
me anytime soon. I'm just gonna stay focused on my
work and I'm not going to put myself out there
anymore because it's too much. And I spoke with my uncle,

(12:18):
like there was a conference call in my family with
me on it because I said this to my mom,
was like I'm done. I'm not doing this anymore, and
she was just sort of heartbroken about that, and she said,
you know, talk to your uncle at least. So I
talked to my uncle and he was like, I'm not
worried about you, like if if you know the worries love, like,
I'm not worried about you. I definitely see a lot

(12:39):
of love and happiness in your future in the near future,
and I just think you should not close yourself off
yet or ever. And I was like all right, And
so that was kind of in the back of my
head where I didn't maybe work is hard on the apps,
but I also didn't completely close everything off and it

(13:01):
worked out for me, you know. So I think I
do think that there is some sense of motivation and
knowing it's if it's if it's hope, it's hope or
just something that to keep you going. I do there's
a there's a huge value and just having somebody look
at your stars and say no, no, no, like keep

(13:22):
going on this path, you're doing, you're doing the right thing. Yeah,
I've I've said that many times. Yeah, I've I've said
many times to my clients in various forms. You know,
here's the timing that we're working with. You know, can
you tolerate another six months, another year of being single

(13:43):
or not having the type of resources that you want
to have or waiting, you know, because that's the timing
of your chart, and usually the answer is yes. But
knowing that there is um yeah, knowing that there is hope,
and knowing that there is something that you can keep
moving towards, which is one of the things that astrology

(14:08):
UM just so poetically exposes, you know, is that we're
working with cycles always and some cycles take longer than
others um but there's always a beginning and end to
a cycle. We're not just static. We're always in flow.
And all my clients who have made the commitment to

(14:30):
move towards what they truly desire have put in hard work.
You are constantly needing to challenge yourself and knowing that
there is something that you can keep moving towards. Which
is one of the things that astrology just so poetically exposes,
you know, is that we're working with cycles always, and

(14:53):
some cycles take longer than others, but there's always a
beginning and end to a cycle. We're not just static,
always in flow. Speaking of cycles, is there any kind
of planetary situation coming up that you think will cause
flux and love in in either positive or negative ways. Well,
at the time of this recording, Venus, which is the

(15:16):
planet of love and values and beauty, just completed its
retrograde cycle. When a planet goes retrograde, it has first
gone direct past certain degrees, so it had gone up
to twenty six degrees Capricorn. Then it started going backwards,
so that was one initial pathway. Then the retrograde was

(15:37):
another initial pathway. And now Venus is going direct, starting
back at eleven degrees Capricorn, going back over that same
area that it's now gone, making a third path through
that time, and that finally will end on March two,
when Venus is out of that particular region of the

(15:58):
zodiac where it's been going up and down and up
and down since November. So I think that for a
lot of folks that is definitely something to flag is
that come March two there will be a lot of
new narratives introduced because Venus has been sort of stuck
in the same area for quite a number of weeks. Okay,

(16:21):
I'm all four new narratives. That's like my favorite thing
me too. Yeah, it's nice to have the idea of
shaking things up of change. Yes, two is a year
that the quarter one is sort of like this again
or still here, things start to really change from an

(16:43):
astrological perspective. Quarter two mm hmm. Okay, well, thank you, yeah,
I hope, I hope we can have you come back
to talk about quarter two. I can't wait for a
quarter two. This has been too let's let's do it
like I'm looking forward now. But thank you so much
so that this has been so wonderful for me and
for Sarah too. I'm sure thank you that you guys

(17:05):
are both Gemini. That's so fun, Gemini twins. We love
to see it. Yeah, and we are. We're close, right, Sarah.
Our birthdays are like four days apart. I'm I think
you're the sixth and I'm yeah, so we're on. Yeah.
I say this thing called there are no coincidences tank

(17:26):
for short, and I'm getting married on your birthday this year.
You are not. Wow, there are no concidences. Can I
tell you? Six? Six is a great day? So this
is also this the year from a numero numerological perspective

(17:47):
is a six. This is a six year which is
connected to Gemini, and Gemini in Taro is the lovers.
So it all comes full circle. Oh that's amazing. That's
so cool. Well, thank you for talking to the four
of us. Yeah. Absolutely, wow, there are no concidences indeed,

(18:08):
and we're we're so happy we could have you. What
We really hope you come back and we can talk
maybe wedding dates perhaps, I because that might be that
would be great. Thank you. That was amazing. Oh my god.
We want to give you a little something to carry
the good feelings with you into your day. Sarah, what's

(18:29):
your love to go today? I am really struck by something.
Lisa said that a star chart is an invitation and
that astrology is an invitation. And I think our love
to go today is to think about inviting yourself to
get to know you. What are the invitations you can
extend to yourself to get to know who you are today,
Whether it's something that you want to invite into your

(18:51):
life or something you want to go off, you are
worth knowing. Thank you so much for listening to this
