I mean, is it's great? It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Do you remember we were here for the premiere of
School Musical two right here at Disneyland.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
It feels like it was just yesterday.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
That was a big deal. That was a big premiere
because the High School Musical one, the premiere was so small.
It was it was, yeah, tiny little theater on the
Disney lot. No one even I don't think you were
even I went by myself. And then number two it
was this big, huge, massive Hollywood fancy premiere right here
at Disneyland.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
That was great. It lives on and years later.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
What is amazing to me is like you can recognize
all the time still, like it's like Beatlemania.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Honestly, it so crazy, but.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
More now than or so.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
And then what about when we were in that little
town chink waterra were we in or something?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
That's what was really surprising to me.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
It was like, how many even in Europe, there were
so many people that recognized you and love the franchise.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
The movie.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
It's really special states then inside the United States, which
is pretty wild.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
But yeah, and and Disneyland, Uh, get recognized here quite
a bit. It feels a little uh feels like going home.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
I've been coming to Disneyland since I was like seven,
seven years old.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
What about you?

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Oh yeah, when I was little, when they were there were.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Tickets, some cherryberries. I don't think anybody remembers cherryberries, but
they were.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
We do love the food here, especially this time here
when they bring out these about.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Our favorite our favorite.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
They asked us what our favorite food was. We were
like I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
We found that amazing. We have like a hundred amazing
places like the True the Carnation thing, the Court Dogs,
the Best Corners, you guys, Oh my gosh, there's so many.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Huge Like we love food and we could come here
and just like we could just get.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
The Haunted Mansion. It's so special. I digress.

Speaker 6 (03:59):
I'm talking about the well you know, fans, and we
get excited about the food, decorations, just the whole the
whole darn experience.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
It's just so special here. There's a there's a really
like the vibe. Everyone's happy.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah it is, and it's a special place to kind
of wind down this podcast to get your head in
the game. And maybe we'll do a couple more straggler episodes.
I don't know, maybe maybe to get a couple of
sneak at a couple more there. But people have missed.
Their schedules are so tight, but we tried to get everybody. Yeah,
and I think you don't have decided to do I'm
gonna do this every five years, five years, like check

(04:35):
in with the cast, see where everybody's at, uh, see
what's just going on in their life a little just
a little you know, a little ketchup for Wildcats.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
So have you noticed I get stopped a Disneyland quite
a bit?

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I think I've noticed that just a few times.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
What's like, we love it everything, The kids love it.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
They just they're so sweet.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
They get so excited, get so excited, and they've always
got like a really great story to talk about their
youth or like what an impact the movie had on
It's just it's different when it's a movie that touches
the hearts of people in their youth, in their upbringing.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
And honestly, though, when we when I mean we showed
we showed our kids recently.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
And the music is so good.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Like the tunes are so catchy, they're good, they're so good,
and they're great.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
They're beautiful messages you know that the world needs. So
it's it's a it's I'm proud of being a part
of this thing.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
Of course, of course it's really special when its something
to people, that's when it means so much.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, it is, you know, and I always feel like
the show.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
So you just you're my childhood and this movie changed
my life. Those are those are like that's when it
really matters, you know, when you know, you're a part
of something that has meant so much with so much fun.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Is you're because you're in a cult classic teenage and
credit good so few of them. But and so now
I've got my kind of like impactful movie too. So
it's fun to have most generations. It does it, it's
it just means a great deal to people.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
So I don't know, I feel like it's a gift.
You know, we've been given.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
A gift where we could stop and take a picture
of someone or stop and hear their story, and it
means so much them.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
It's a beautiful thing.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Ye well, it's a beautiful night here at Disneyland.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Its amazing everywhere.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Looking tacos, which are some of them.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
We got some special here.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
It is some of that we love and the kids love,
and we find you know, it's amazing you find little
treasures being we've been here a hundred times and you
still find little little nuggets, little And we got a
bunch of food in front of us today, some of
our favorites, some of new stuff here. And you know
who's going to talk to us about it is our

(06:56):
friend ambassador one.

Speaker 7 (06:59):
Showing from other faces. But now again see you in person,
in this wonderful setting. There's no place like Disney for
the holidays.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Right nothing. I mean way, it's the best.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
But it's so fun to have you here like a specialist,
like you could teach us stuff sometimes, some secrets.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
So here's the first secret.

Speaker 7 (07:19):
We're celebrating the holidays, but that doesn't mean that we're
stopping the celebration. Over seventy years of the happiest place
on earth, that's right across the way, Disneyland Park where
it all started, right.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Here in Anaheim, seventy years this year, seventy.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
Years the original park that Walt Disney had a handle
development across away, and now over so many years we've
expanded into over five hundred acres. We have Disney California Adventure,
three beautiful resort hotels that are of course.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Decorated for the holidays.

Speaker 7 (07:45):
Downtown Disney District entertainment, shopping and dining also decorated for
the holidays. So there's magic all over, not just in
the parks, and not just in the food.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Although this this food.

Speaker 7 (07:55):
Right here in front of us liked food looks.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
This is called the Hometown Disney Hotel, No, the Grand
California Grand Hotel.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
It's it's incredible. We've stayed there a couple of times.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's beautiful, and they've got like live performances in there,
and it's all Christmas in the I.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Walked right Santa in there early, so the Santa was
in Disney's California.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
You're looking for, you.

Speaker 7 (08:22):
Know what, he's always watching, Okay, sometimes very close.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
It makes sense now why our kids are get along
so well when we're at Disneyland, better than any other time, right.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
Well, especially for staying at the Grand California, which is
literally inside Disney California Adventure Park.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Is get up in the morning in your pajamas and
you walk.

Speaker 7 (08:44):
And you can't do it all in one day, right,
so you want to be comfortable, enjoy your stay, get
to see your favorites, go and see your favorites all
over again. Yeah, I mean to paint the picture for
everybody listening. This place is massive. We've got two incredible
theme parks, Disneyland Park being the original, decked out right
now for the holiday celebrating seventy years with those classical attractions.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I heard you mentioned the Haunted Mansion holiday.

Speaker 7 (09:09):
So we go from the beginning of the cue of
the line, the animatronics, the music, everything completely changes for
the season.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
You're gonna love. Do you know that on the list,
the Christmas List.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
My name is on there and it is spelled I
heard this every time I try to.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
I'm on the list recognized. Let her have the list.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I'm so proud of it, honestly, and it's spelled r
O B Y is really special.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Do you know what that list is?

Speaker 3 (09:45):
That's what I hope. It's not the Naughty List.

Speaker 7 (09:47):
No, no, it's the imagineers who have helped transform that
attraction after and fun fact, because the same as some
of these goods that we have in front of us,
there is a bakery backstage in Disneyland that not a
lot of people know about. The producer is a lot
of this delicious food, including that gingerbread house in the
middle of the Honey Mansion holiday where you're that's real

(10:08):
gingerbread that is big in the bakery and in the attraction,
a completely different design every year.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Sometimes they're over ten feet tall and you can eat it.
I mean, I've never been invited to that cookie, but
it's duty.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
At the end of the year. But yes, or a bakery,
it is a real life, gingerbread.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Cooking well, we are always fascinated by the little treasures
that we find. After all these years, we're still well.
First of all, whose idea was to put up these
littld kiosks of food?

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Because these things are amazed the festive food marketplace.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
Yes, the Festival of Holidays is a celebration of all
the different cultures that make up who we are here
in Southern California. This being Disney California Adventure. Knowing that
our audience doesn't just celebrate Christmas. I grew up celebrating Nevy,
then my friends could possibly grow up celebrating Kwansa hanukkahd Volley.
This is the rich culture that makes us who we are,

(10:59):
and so the California. So we bring not only authentic
food with the real life DNA that our chefs and
your teams have gone out to experiment with and learn from,
but we also have live entertainment that's diverse all day long.
We've got an amazing nighttime spectacular world of color happiness
that's interacting. You can go on to Disneyland app and

(11:20):
I recommend everyone get the Disneyland app before you show
up here because there's elements like you get to pick
who the host of World of Color is tonight.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Oh, you choose one of the five emotions from inside out.

Speaker 7 (11:30):
So we give you the opportunities and new ways to
play with the stories that you love, the characters that
you that you know from movies, television and here in
the parks, including your your own.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
I was asking you a little bit earlier.

Speaker 7 (11:43):
One of my favorite entertainment offerings here in Disney California
Adventure over the years was high school musical pep rally
that performed right on these streets that sitting traveling part.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I used to love to go watch those, so I'd
make my way to the front and because you look
like their dancing doing their song, and then they realized
there like wait a minute, and then they're like staring
at me like this a real moment of like coaches
watching the sing on the flo Would you give them notes?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Note? Yes, you know what I do you know before
I let get everybody?

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Yeah, And you.

Speaker 7 (12:18):
Know, that's one example of the way that we've integrated
stories that people love, the characters that people know, into
these festive traditions all year long. I mean, our characters
are what makes us special. So for us to be
able to invite our public to celebrate and make new
memories here in Disney at the Disneyland Resort is such
a special thing to do.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
What are some of your favorites during the holidays, right? Gosh?

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Oh, we have so many of our favorite rides.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
I mean that's a great thing.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Is like we have our favorite rides, and then if
the rides you're really busy or we don't feel like
going on a ride, we just walk around like you
walk and just get.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Food like you could just eat.

Speaker 7 (12:58):
You know that for this season alone, we have ninety
new food and beverage items around the parks.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Wow, night news.

Speaker 7 (13:05):
So if you think you're got everything out of last
year's visit, at least items for you.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
What what is going on here?

Speaker 4 (13:13):
One? What is?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
What is it? I don't recognize any of this food
in front of what we.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
See with the classic classic troll. Even my friends over
at Florida Walt disney World are raving about the Disneyland Resort.
Tros much more special, special, different than Disney World. I
don't know what they're the fan favorites, along with another
fan favorite, the Canoli Turo.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (13:34):
I knew this year, we don't know a taste that
make up the cultures and the people years of California celebrated.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
That's insane, true, you know what I know?

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Tell me if I'm wrong.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
It seems like the chur booth underneath the bridge on
the way to uh Space Mountain.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
You know that. True? A booth over there.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
They always have a flavored one, and I have like
a shower apple one.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Oh my gosh, that was amazing. You don't think it
can get better? Wait, wait till we put our spin
on it.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
Right.

Speaker 7 (14:14):
So along with the crunchiness the sweetness of that trip
right in front of you, we also have our new
the serve here as part of the Festival of Holidays,
complete with a fandun like the pink PANDUSA is a
staple in my home. And if I went to my
Wita's house as a kid, I'm going to see the
h We're sure going to see the fun.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
So that's what I mean.

Speaker 7 (14:34):
The cuculinary teams go above and beyond to make sure
that everything is authentic and the way it tastes, the
way it's presented, and in the way people remember it
from their childhood.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Oh my gosh, it's so good. Where where where from?
Somewhere in Mexico? Yeah, my family from and when I
watch the Mexico Cool We just got back from Mexico City. Amazing.
This is delicious.

Speaker 7 (14:56):
There's also a sticky toffee macaroon that in front of you.
That's a good, chewy favorite of favorite guy right now.
So this is a sticky toffee macaroone.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Oh my god, you have very airy, very.

Speaker 7 (15:10):
Light and again one of the products that our backstage
bakery that no one knows about until today. And you
that's out for our guests every single day.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
That's amazing.

Speaker 7 (15:21):
Yeah, top secret bakery.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
This is so good. A massive mousehead. It was toffee
and a little bit of ginger one.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Do you remember the cherryberries? Nobody remembers them. It's a
long time ago, and.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
I know the King knows everything.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
He knows everything.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Cherry berries were so good, and you know they had
they on the stick, the plastic stick.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
When you finished your cherryberry was a little character. It
was a little Disney character.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
It was like, yeah, surprised, what did you get?

Speaker 3 (16:04):
They were delicious? They were so good.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Let me sign that up. I think you'll come back.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
I would be. I would be so excited.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
I think, I don't know if I said the words.

Speaker 7 (16:18):
From I would be As you can tell, We've got
a little bit of everything for everybody. You have your
favorite taste, come and enjoy, find something new, discover.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Something that you can.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
Really the key to getting the most out of your
visit is down only the disney Land app Sorry to
plan your visit, get ahead of the game.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
You didn't even know.

Speaker 7 (16:47):
And then when you get here, the Sip and Saver
Pass is your one stop shop for all of the
festive food market places.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Wait a minute, I don't know Snip and Saver Pass.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
It's a landyard you can wear that has a pre
selected menu that you can go enjoy around the work.
It's just one stop and that's mine. That's the key
to the festival. That was I was gonna ask you
for one like hot tip? Like that's it?

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Like that? I mean absolutely.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Do you have like a little treasure or like anything
new you found that's like, oh my gosh, off.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
The charts that this year.

Speaker 7 (17:19):
That's something that I remember from my childhood at my
grandma's house and for it to come to life here,
it's it's incredible.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Uh not only that we have.

Speaker 7 (17:28):
Even that's also bringing that music that the flavors that
I grew.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Up with, and that's just me.

Speaker 7 (17:35):
Someone will find a new memory, something new to enjoy
in this wonderful place, a disneylaboratory.
