Speaker 1 (00:01):
A devout man and one that feared God with all
his house, which gave much alms to the people and
prayed to God alway. Acts ten two. Dear God, thank

(00:28):
you for your grace and mercies. To night. Please help
me to reflect on my blessings and all I have
to be thankful for. Please help me to be as

(00:54):
merciful and loving as you are as I look back
on my day. Please help me to be loyal to
you and trust in the plans that you have for

(01:18):
my life. The journey to discovering my true purpose lies
in surrendering to you. Grant me with your wisdom so
that I can rest peacefully knowing that I did my

(01:45):
best to day. May the power of your word always
be present in my heart. In Jesus name, Amen. Thank

(02:07):
you for listening to pray to Colms nightly prayer to
experience a pocket of peace before you go to sleep.

(02:33):
fighting anxiety. To get the most out of your spiritual journey,
use pray dot com every day and make prayer a
priority in your life. Our goal for today's meditative prayer
is fighting anxiety. Take a minute to calm down. Go

(02:55):
to the place where you feel most at ease and relaxed.
Accommodate yourself into a comfortable position. Close your eyes, breathe easy.
Imagine the tension in your body unwinding, and the anxiety
in your head and heart slowly decreasing. We will be

(03:22):
meditating on Luke chapter twelve, verses twenty two through twenty
six from the King James version. Then he said to
his disciples, Therefore, I tell you don't worry about your life,
what you will eat, or about the body what you

(03:44):
will wear. For life is more than food, and the
body more than clothing. Consider the ravens. They don't sew
or reap. They don't have a store room or a barn,
Yet God feeds them. Aren't you worth much more than

(04:06):
the birds? Can any of you add a cubit to
his height by worrying? If then you're not able to
do even a little thing, Why worry about the rest?
Let us take time to adore God for his power
over us. God, I praise you because you supply all

(04:32):
my needs. I worship you for your promise of provision
over my life. I sing praises to your name, for
you hold the universe in the palm of your hand.
I worship you in the knowledge that you work out
all things for the good of your creation. There is

(04:56):
more to life than being concerned with meeting your own
need needs. God made it clear that he loves and
cares for you. He mentions nature and its carelessness for
the morrow. Yet he provides you are infinitely more precious

(05:16):
and valuable to God than nature. You are the crowning
glory of his creative masterpiece. Sometimes the pressure of daily
life will distort your values. Don't lose heart, lay it
instead at the feet of Jesus. Tell him of the

(05:38):
areas you were worrying over and having a hard time with.
Confess and cast your concerns on God because He cares
for you. Now take a moment to dwell on the
provision of God for your life. Give thought the seasons

(06:00):
of anxiety and restlessness. God guided you through the Bible
says God is good, and his mercy endures from generation
to generation. Thank God for sustaining you and for supplying
all your needs. Thank Him for taking care of yourself

(06:24):
and your family. Thank Him that his love promises to
provide for all your needs. Each and every day. God
is present and he is listening to you. Even when
life seems overwhelming. Do not give up. Lean on God's

(06:47):
word during the hard times and the trials. Push past
them mundane and unending demands of life. Ask God to
give you faith to trust in his care for you,
to believe in his provision with the same conviction as
nature does. Remember, God has called you to trust in

(07:12):
his love, to trust in the knowledge that He will
provide for you. Worry is futile and changes nothing, so
don't waste your time on it. Be confident in God.
He lovingly cares for the lilies of the valley and

(07:32):
the sparrows of the skies. More so, and with greater fever,
he will care for you. Thank you for completing today's
meditative prayer on pray dot com. By incorporating this healthy
habit as a daily practice, you were making prayer a

(07:53):
priority and strengthening your walk with God.
