Philippians chapter four, verse six, from the King James version.
(03:12):
Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known unto God.
Let your worship rise up to God. I exalt you, Lord,
(03:32):
for yours is the greatness and the power, the glory,
the victory and the majesty. For all that is in
the heavens and the earth belonged to you. Yours is
the Kingdom. O Lord, you were exalted as head above all.
(03:55):
God has given you a mighty tool against anxiety, pray air.
As powerful as prayer is, its benefit can only be
reaped through participation. This can be challenging. Daily concerns will
try to stifle your desire for God, and anxiety left
(04:18):
unchecked will cripple your ability for gratitude. Being thankful under
stress might be strenuous, but you must prevail. Perhaps you
currently find yourself in such a situation. Maybe anxiety has
tried to corrupt your heart and consume your thoughts. This
(04:41):
is your chance to pray and ask God for his
forgiveness and help confess to Him those areas of worry
and weakness. Share with the Holy Spirit your cares and concerns.
God is not expecting perfection from you, just for you
(05:04):
to try your best. Open yourself to God's love and
pour out all that is weighing heavy on your heart.
Now consider all the times God heard your prayers and
thank him for it. Thank the Lord for the opportunity
(05:24):
to reach out to him, to lay your fears and
frustrations at his feet. Thank God for his interest in
your well being and for wanting to take care of you.
Thank Jesus for his sacrifice which opened the way for you.
(05:44):
Thank Him for his blessed assurance that he will always
be accessible to you. Thank the Holy Spirit for enabling
you to overcome all worries and concerns. Thank Him for
interest seating for you, for presenting your prayers before God.
(06:06):
Never forget God is present and he is listening to you.
Come before Him with thanksgiving in your heart and make
your requests known to him. Plead your case before God.
And tell him what is bothering you. Ask him to
(06:26):
help you let go of the anxiety festering in your heart.
Ask Jesus for the ability to rely on his word
for his peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Ask
the Holy Spirit to empower you to have control over
your thoughts and emotions. Ask him to teach you gratefulness
(06:50):
in all seasons of life. For the ability to apply
that gratitude in all prayers and supplications offered unto God.
Remember the Bible says you are not to worry. Instead,
through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, you were to make
(07:11):
your requests known to God. So set aside all anxiety,
all fear, and all doubt. Choose this day to be thankful,
to present yourself before God's throne, and to ask for
his grace. God is on your side. He wants to
