And today is gonna give you that fully one hundred
per messy friends.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Should we bring our guests in now? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, okay, absolutely, I mean I guess we just gonna
skip the intro And not that I had anything to say,
but oh well you do, okay, because I don't I do.
Oh but I was gonna wait, Oh, let's just bring
her in.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Okay, okay, wow, I mean I don't know what friendship
would be without the ship.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
This person is the ship to our friendship. WHOA you
don't like that mess? You call her a ship?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
She keeps usgether, she puts us together.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
She makes sure we're the ship. She's on the bond.
She girl just dropped my credits. Stop with me.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
What kind of job is this she?

Speaker 4 (02:02):
She has a set on Comedy Central, she's a set
on Peacock, She's been on Inside Amy Schumer, she's a
regular as the seller. She's somebody I aspire to be
without being a mother. Give it up to her bestest friend,
Amina Amani.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
This is the epitome of messy.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
The whole intro was mess We don't intro. Nobody like that.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
First of all, dropping credits on the podcast, Yeah, I'm
looking at you.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
But what she was given I didn't like.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
So that's why I said, just go. I tried to
pivot her, but it didn't work either.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
So the ship she started off with a ship. Just
tell you how me? Am I wrong?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
If I say that my friend is a ship in friendship,
she keeps the friends together.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
How does a ship keep friends together? Because we get
one just sound like a whore.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
No ship friends who are tuned it up? Ye here,
and you know we always laugh a lot, we do.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
We do really one of the funniest people I've ever
met in my entire life. And you could be you
could be rock bottom like tears. Everything is just bad.
No money, no Mena's gonna turn it around.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
You beating tears with no money?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
No?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Oh my god, there's so many times I called you
in l a. Oh oh, you kept me, you kept
me afloat, you both did, but a float?

Speaker 1 (03:37):
So is she the ship or the water? Oh? Okay you?
I might be a movie. I might be my life. Wait,
how did I usually bring people? It's not like that.
Can you come on, give me a start over.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
That's the second time we tried that intro today, and
that's that's it didn't work.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
But that's that is the beauty in mess.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, okay, you just embrace it. Okay, y'all finishing each
other's sentence with the word of your podcast.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Ooh okay, hater.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
So I do have some mess this week that I
would like to share. My mess is I'm tired of
being scared of nail TeX's hairstylists, people who are doing services,
because if you let them know that you don't like something,
they're looking at you like how dare you? And it's like, hey,

(04:31):
I don't want to walk out here looking like this.
Now we could do two things. You could either fix
this or I could just not pay you.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Which one you want?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Bro? When have you ever gotten something done and I
paid somebody for it?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Never happened?

Speaker 4 (04:45):
But I would love to have that energy. I see
people do it on TikTok and they're just like and
I walked out and I was like, fuck, that is
my leader.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
I would love to do that. But I went to
the nel salon.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
I gave them a design, but you know, it's hard
for me to pick out a design, so I find
he picked one out. She was like, hey, you're gonna
have because I showed her four and she's like, well,
which one do you want?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I was like, well, which one do you like? She's like, well,
are you asking the lady who's doing your nails? Were?

Speaker 4 (05:10):
She exactly, that's what? So I started off. She was
already aggie because she was like, so you don't know
what you want? So I don't want to have to
play this and this is tim thirty in the morning.
So then I picked something. I was like, okay, this
is Jimmy or this is cute. And then when it started,
when she started painting my name, I was like, oh,
I don't look good with brown brown as a base.
I put breast so it kind of looked like my

(05:31):
fingers was extended, pointy brown fingers. Yeah yeah, and so
then it was like pink in the middle. It just
didn't look good.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
And so she had did all the nails even after
I was making these faces like I don't know, yeah, no,
I don't think yeah, werol.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I need to see the picture. It was brown with
pink in the middle.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
It was supposed to be like a nudeish but she
got like a like a cameral, like the same color
as the chair, that brown and then the pink. And
then when I told her I didn't like it, and
she was like, it looks good. And then there was
other people charming in. I said, ah, y'all not gased
like me this early, Not when I'm paying one hundred
and fifty dollars to get my nails in toes done.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
One hundred and fifty for the nails and the toes.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Oh that's pretty cheap, friend, that's that's low. That's why
she was doing a bad job. Nails and toes is
one fifty.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Jel X girl. That's why she was using alternate colors.
So I'm the villain now because I'm just saying, you
get what you pay for, and you got Somebody.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Says, why this is not a safe space. This is mess,
This is absolute mess. I need to see the pictures
that you shirt into me as somebody who you know
I've been getting my nails done.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Girl. One fifty is low. It is all I'm saying.
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I pay overall one hundred and fifty for just my hands,
so for your feet and your hands to be included,
and that's the price. I'm like, well, you know you're
kind of getting to do all the nails and then
say no, if the light after the first nail, you
knew it wasn't popping. May trust the process because you know,
sometimes you gotta do sometimes you have to do that.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
You don't say I'm the only one that's like to
trust the process on a nail set.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, takes they hit the one strike, That's what they do,
and you'd be like, oh, nah, I know for a
fact that's not gonna.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I don't want that.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
I would give you two because maybe you want to
see it next to the other one and be like, actually, no.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I really don't like it.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
But also I know that Mike, I don't have the
most appealing hands. So sometimes you gotta do the whole
thing and then I can see it, see it through.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
You gotta got to see it through. You don't got
to see it through.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Well, that's why you had to pay her, and that's
why she had an attitude. Yeah, but she did your
nails twice.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yeah, So then I was going to pick another design,
but I say, you know what, I could already tell
by the stank face that she was making, and she
don't want to do it, So I say, you know what,
just make it regular, Just do it regular, just toes white.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Okay, So I should have just did white. I mean know,
sometimes it's cool to just hit it with the match.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
I don't match. I think matches, like are we going
to a vaca? Like what's the deal? Like, I don't
need to match. Nobody's seeing my toes right now.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
When you had them green nails, the other week you
had white toes. Okay, so you always get white toes? Okay,
all right, everything, No, I'm just asking.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I just wanted to know.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
So now I know, my friend, everything my day is cool.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I'm chilling, you know, I want glasses inside. I asked
you if I should keep them Morning from Girl.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
I need you to send us the photos of all
the nails that show them so we could throw them in.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
The dump for well I will.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
It's just like, you know, I want to be that
person that's like shows my personality through like my nails
and drewys, but I have ADHD so I just it
really is overwhelming.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I can't do it well prior to going to the
nils line, if you know that, start early, Start like
going online and saving photos that you like at the time,
and then scroll through them before you go to the
nail lake ID. I put them in my stories and
I asked the people who followed me to pick my
next nail design.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I'll be like card I get this, this or this.
I don't want to do it no more.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
I'm just going out with my nubs, my lesbian like
just nothing there and just like, oh you're a little
grown up yours is not lesbian at all.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Oh no, but I did feel like a lesbian when
I got them done.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Let me see, I don't get no color.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
She said no color, I said no And even on
the toes, just hit it with a natural.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Oh. I was feeling the same way you was feeling.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Frustrated with the whole surgery process of getting my nails
and toes done and taking it off the and then
the people in the salon and it's just too much.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
So now just go. And I paid sixty dollars for
a Mannie petty and I move on. Let you see
your hands? Is this clear powder?

Speaker 2 (09:59):
It's just a clear just a clear nail polish that
they put on, just a natural.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
And you know what else who's taking up all the space?
It's the men that are in the salon, like paying
for the girls. I'm like, hey, you can sell her
venmo her. Why you coming up here showing us that
you're paying?

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Okay, so pay for all of us if you big.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I really couldn't all that money. They didn't have to
be there. They do not have to be at the Star. Well,
sometimes the salon is cash only, so they got to
show with the cash.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
But just like send her the money and she take
out the cat. I don't know, but I'm just sitting
there looking all.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Doofy and like or they stay at your salon. The
guys in my Neltlon popping and pop out may be
sitting and looking. It's like, sir, are you looking at
my toes? Are you looking at her toes? Because it's
gonna call my toes trained wrecked? Okay, even after the
pology is done, I don't feel comfort AnyWho. That's my mess.

(10:56):
You know what my mess is? Thank you for sharing
your messiny. My mess is my grandma passed away last week.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
You didn't even tell us. I'm telling you guys right now.
My grandma passed away last week.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
A podcast is mad. That is my grandma passed away
last week. It iss y'all, Mama, this is my dad's mom.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Are you okay?

Speaker 2 (11:15):
You've been seeing me and I'm fine, But my grandma
passed away and my dad is estranged with his family,
and so I don't remember the last time I saw
my grandmother. That's why, okay, right, So it's that it's
this is this is the energy and her funeral is
my dad told me it was on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
I spoke to my aunt, his sister. She told me
it's on Friday. I spoke to my mom.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
She's like, well, they told him Saturday and he's been
He called her twice and she has not responded to him.
So I don't know if we're gonna go now. I'm like,
are you trying to repair of the family relationship or not.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Also, my aunt is.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
One of my dad's five siblings, So one person not
responding to you, you have four other people you can
wait out.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
You don't know this side of Bryan. You don't know. Decided. Sorry, girl,
ex me out. You've just found out the grandma passed,
Like read the room.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
I'm in, you're not.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
In the mid My bad. I'm sorry. I apologize.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
But my dad like he don't really rock with his siblings,
and but he don't rock with none of them. And
I'm like, I was talking to my mom yesterday and
I was like, if he's not cool with them, it's him.
My dad is mad about something that happened before I
was born, that my that his brother did and he
refuses to forgive these people. And I'm like, so he

(12:44):
just gonna hold onto this forever. Mess, babe, that's mess.
So you're just gonna be mad at the whole whole
stand on it.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Because if if one person is doing the Shenanigans right,
the other people know about the Shenanigans, they're in on it,
and if they don't correct it or they have not
like tried to diffuse it or fix it, they're all
y'all in cahoots. Y'all all know about the drama and
y'all in on it. So I don't trust none of y'all.

(13:15):
It also just depends what it is that happened. But
I could see dealing with my family, the older older
I get.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
I'm choosing these could go than it probably said all
of them.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I don't know. I'll be looking at my dad like like,
so you gotta get to know the siblings. Yeah, to
get to know, Well, I'm gonna be out of town.
That's what I was thinking. When you said Friday and Saturday.
I said, both of those days work for me. I'm
gonna send some flowers. Yeah, I call my auntie and everything.
I'm I'm cool, more cool with them than he is.
But he doesn't even want to get on the phone

(13:50):
with them, And so my and my mom, I think
what it is is the beef is from when my
mom and dad met.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
They didn't like my mom, and my mom is very much.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Well, then I don't like none of y'all either, and
you don't need to be around my son.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
And so that's the beginning of all of this.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
But like all of this time has passed and I've
met my aunts and I met my uncles, and I'm like,
y'all still like it seems like he'll forgive them and
then he'll be back mad at them.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
He'll be because because what happens is you forgive somebody
and then all they gotta do is one more than.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
You get the flashback you're like, oh, that's why I
wasn't fucking with you in the first place.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
And it's hard to for them somebody who keep doing
some stuff that you just like, I'm good, yeah, but
as the as the daughter, as the niece, I don't
have a relationship with most of that. I don't really
have a relationship with that side of my family because
he don't want a relationship with them.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
So that's why I'm saying, you don't know them. It's
not you being exed out.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I too have been ext out, So I think that's messy.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
You went across the river. Do you want to see them?
I can't see them as Wigan. I'm gonna be me
and my sister.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Like when my cousin on that side got married in
Miami last year and we put me.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
We talked to all the aunties. I mean, we relate
to the wedding, but we met everybody elseide I don't know.
I just feel like as we get older, yes, it's
easy to x.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
People out and decide what you don't want or do
on in your life. But also as you get older
and people start to pass away, I feel like you
gotta let some of this stuff go. And my dad
is like, absolutely not. And my mom is the battery
in his back and she charging it up. She the
battery and his The only thing is it's just it's
difficult because it's like family are not people that you choose,

(15:37):
and they feel the most entitled to being having access
in your life, and so it really just depends on
what it is that transpired. It is unfortunate that y'all
get the you know, ramifications of that, but now y'all
grown enough.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
To hit them up. If that's what y'all want to do,
that's what you want to do. Sis.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
If that's what, If you want to go against poppies wishes,
then go I.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Don't know if it's it, would it be a against
his wishes? Yeah, he hates it. He just doesn't want
to talk to them. So, I mean, I called my
aunt because they left some They sent me some stuff
for Christmas, so I make sure to call her to
talk to her.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
And it was an We had a nice would different
than sisters. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
That's why my son had a phone from the age
of three, because he was talking to a lot of
people that I'm good one, But I knew that they
relationship not gonna be the relationship that I have.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
So I'm like, go ahead and walk out.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
If they treat you right and y'all cool and y'all loving,
pop off, but that ain't what it is for you.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yeah, And then when they do you like they did me,
don't come talking to me. I don't want to hear
nothing about it. I don't want to hear it. What
makes you think they're gonna do the same.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
No, no, no, I'm not saying you. I'm just saying for me,
it's potential. That is the character the character has shown,
So I don't know. All I said to my mom
was if everybody gets along with everybody else and he's
the odd man out, I think the problem is him.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
That's what I said to my mom, and she was like,
it's them, Yes, my mom, stand on your believe it's them.
I believe it.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Let me tell you nor family. It could be twenty
of them, girl. Yes, I mean, but the backstory is
my mom don't be standing beside my dad. So that's
so crazy.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Your mom to stand with your dad. Something gotta be
just them holding on in the late eighties. Mess they are.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
They are a mess, and I can see if like
my dad was happy, like he moved through his life,
happy about all the choices he made.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
But I'm like, you don't seem to happy to me,
So maybe you need to call one sister that changes
like I think. So, I don't know. I feel like
every time you call.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Family up, more problems, my money, more problems they do
push your buttons.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
That's just how I feel.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
That's my mess for the week. I mean, what what
mess you got for us today?

Speaker 1 (17:59):
What the hell you bring it in here? In a
good way? In a good way?

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Is this why I talk about my subject. Yeah, okay,
because it was like, y'all will share a story. So
I was like, well I got a little story. But
then I'm like, okay, well we got based on what
you heard on No, no, no, I mean I just
felt like it was like a little bit. Life is
a mess for sure, but we're.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Working through it.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
We're working through it, you know, you know, shout out
to my therapists, like girl, I'm not telling people my
therapist name.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Everybody knows my therapists name is Lydia Lydio.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
But yeah, we're talking about So my mess is Google reviews. Yeah,
I write them all the time. It do get messy sometimes,
and yeah, that's that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Why do you think Google reviews are messy?

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Well, first of all, the ones I read sometimes are
one hundred percent. Like it'd be like remember we was
just out and I was like, the lady got mad.
She wrote one star and she was like, they charged
me one hundred and sixty dollars cancelation fee.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
And I was just like, so, yeah, you always come
with the emotions, but.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
For that, when you make a reservation to a place
that has a cancelation feed before you confirm that you're
making it. They tell you it's forty dollars a person
cancelation fee, because I texted, y'all, yeah, it's forty dollars
a person if we canceled. So this lady canceled four
A four top and lost one hundred and sixty.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Dolls one hundred and sixty dollars.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
It's crazy, But they told you they was in playing
they standing in a cancelation.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Yeah, but I write reviews all the time. One time,
I almost I almost wanted to fight this lady. I
wanted to go get a facial.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Whoa, whoa, whoa already we already started with fighting love it?
Whoa Yeah that's what it was. Like, what else is
it gonna be?

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I guess we could have had a conversation. No no, no, no, yeah,
I mean and you could have chat GP teeter.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Well, I just feel like when you get upset to
the point where you're showing up and nobody's answering the.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Door of we're fighting.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Let me tell you.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
So, you know to have those little apps like the
little like it's like, you know how they have it
for the hair the stylists.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
So I think this one is called like Vanguard.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
I don't even know. Let's start with a V so
I use it to do my my face.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
I want to facials. It's in the vicinity of my neighborhood.
Let's do it. And they take the money you booked
the appointment. They take the money, like the money right away.
They like boom, which.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
I already found, not a deposit, but the whole amount,
the whole of me. I haven't even done the services.
You ain't even did the services. They like, you booked,
but it was for like the next day. So for me,
it was just like, listen, I'm sure I want to
do this.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Let's be there. I'll be there.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
My money not gonna be wasted. Boom, no problem, y'all.
I pull up on a day of the appointment. Nobody
answering the door. Oh is it at a private residence. No,
it's like at a it's like a public business building.
So then I'm like buzzing, buzzing. Finally somebody let me in,
but like not in the other door. So now I'm

(20:48):
stuck in between the door like somebody was clearly playing.
They hit it fast, and so then finally I'm calling, calling, calling,
no answer. Next thing, you know, I get a text, Hey,
I didn't confirm your appointment. Hey, your money out of
my account was the confirmation. That's just what I made
been paid. But also, why are you messaging me like
this and lett me in halfway through the door and

(21:09):
not being professional and meeting me at my eye to
let me know, Hey, boo, it's talk about this real quick,
because I'm more of the people are wondering what time
the day before did you make the appointment? So say,
like maybe two in afternoon for one o'clock the next day, okay,
so like it's not like I did it that night, right, No,
So that's what I'm saying. So if you couldn't confirm

(21:29):
the appointment or if it was not gonna be uh
you know, like handle, then I think by the end
of the day five pm, send me an email, has
sis don't come tomorrow or morning?

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Up?

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Hey up?

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Turns out you made this last minute blah blah blah
bah blah, didn't have time to confirm this.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Can you come another door? Right?

Speaker 2 (21:47):
But she was making it seem like I'm harassing her.
I'm hey, the money's out my account, so I was
gonna get around to processing your refund that I've never
heard of at my life.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Yeah, with no communication, we know, and then now you.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Treating me like I'm outside. It was just so it
gets rough with me. But I wrote a nice little
review and I and I had a video of me
sitting in the middle of the door.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
You you do catch everything? I mean, I want to ask,
I mean it does capture everything in real time. You
take pictures, you're doing videos.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Shoot the video you did it in the in the
absolutely absolute because I just wanted to let the people
know in the review how I went down. I snapshoted
the confirmation of like the payment and her text message
little and I put it all into your bank account
and said, you saw because people need to know.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
A mina that happened to me recently.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
So I made an appointment to get my hair done
kind of a half up, half down, like how Sidney
be doing her.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Yeah, but I have braids in at the.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Time, so I had the whole I had the whole
week to take my braids out and I didn't. But
I was like, oh, I need to move disappointment. So
I called the woman. I emailed her. I'm texting no
response for the days leading up to the appointment. I'm like, okay,
well she hasn't responded. But I went to a place
they took my braids down for me. But I could
tell that I wasn't gonna be done in time to

(23:28):
make it to my appointment in time. So I get
a call my appointments at twelve. She calls me at
twelve oh five. I still got like twenty braids to
take out, right, oh wow, right.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
But whatever, we were almost done. Maybe it wasn't twenty.
It was like when you weren't there. It was like ten.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
I wasn't there yet, but I was trying to move
my appointment till like twelve. She didn't hit her up
to any calling her. I've been emailing her. I sent
text messages and every time I called, it would be
like this call the mailbox is full. The mailbox is full.
So I couldn't even leave a voicemail. She caught texts
she I texted. She called me at twelve oh five her,
are you still coming to your appointment? I was like,

(24:04):
oh my god, I've been trying to reach you. I'm
I'm still taking my braids down. Can I come at
twelve thirty? She was like, no, and your refund is non.
Your your deposit is not the fundable. Click hangs up
the phone.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
I'm in the chair hot.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Because twenty four hours ago you was either trying.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
To move it or you could have just canceled it.
Mind you.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
She called me on the number that I had been calling,
So you have my number, you got the text, you
got the email.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Okay, hold on now, let me get down to the
bottom of So this is somebody you go to. I've
never been to this, You've never been to so I'm
a first time claim. She don't even know you, babe.
She don't even know your Instagram mama.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
You could have went live girl and tagged her, but
my sister said that as soon as because I called
my sister right after and she was like, you should
go on Instagram and let people know her.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Yeah, because that's rude. People don't know that the power
that I have. But I called the click is crazy.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Your your deposit is no refund Oh look, mind you.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
I said that I was I was leaving.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
I think I was leaving for Jamaica the next day,
so I needed my hair done and she, oh, baby.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I'm professional. That's crazy. But you know how stuff like
that make me hot.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
So when you do your reviews, is to help other
people or is it for you to get your rock soft?

Speaker 1 (25:20):
It depends.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
It depends on how the service is. Like for that
day with the skincare, that was revenge. That was for
me to get my rocks offt But other times, if
you see, we go out all the time and we
just always looking and seeing what the.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Reviews say, Oh, should we go there? Should we go not?
And then that's what I decide based on.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
So then I was like, maybe you should start writing
them since you read them and they'll help you so much.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
So this is also me paying it forward.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Amena's reviews are sometimes it's it's definitely sometimes it's humorous.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
All write little funny ones.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
But I want to say one hundred percent of your reviews,
some of them are serious, like, hey, you don't have
to come here, but if you do, like you.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Don't have to come here, that's a great opening line.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Well something that's because that's what the review is. The
review is you tell your experience and would you recommend.
Is it a highly recommend or is it a.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Something I recommend?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Hell or like real talk, if you're not in an area,
don't don't come out so way for this now. I
think there needs to be and that's a good If
you read that and you was like, oh I feel
her on that I'm not coming out my way, I
think that's good information to have. Yeah, But also I
think we need to know the background of people reviewing,
like cause you like, if I would know like your

(26:28):
stats and stuff, then I would can then I could
be like, oh, this person is really serious about her,
but other people just be playing like that. You could
read the review and see if they plan. You could
read if this is something personal or if this is
something that Okay, no, this is like one hundred percent
how this business handles their affairs. Oh yeah, sometimes because
you know, like now, when people do something like on

(26:50):
the internet that people don't like, they'll go they'll come
together and review that place negatively, like the McDonald's where
Luigi got oh god, I wish I was a party
with giving McDonald's wants started reviews because they were like.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
They got raps here, and it was like, this is Luigi,
you have.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Raps, but it's also McDonald's. Like who's reading a review
and it's already McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Then you can leave it with the best reviews You
can leave a review for anything anything anywhere, roller coasters,
anything and whatever.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
You list of other things.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Any anywhere, my foot touch, yeah, everything Nel Salon's museums.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Remember we went to what did I We were in
the balloon Museum.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
We went to some Musicum, I definitely wrote a review
about that. I was like, but halfway through the project
they gave up.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
Yeah, the loons was definitely given very strong.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
I remember the first few balloon statues we saw. We
was like, oh, why it looked like my son did it?
And I said no, no, I mean actually I can't
even disrespect him like that because he's a great artist.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
He is.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
It looked like somebody else son did.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
It, expended it it was and I lost my Pandora bracelet.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Still heard about it.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
You put that in the Girl and I sure did,
I said, I emailed them about it and they did
not respond.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
I think they were going in that balloon pit to
look for.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Me, because you know, it's not until you lose something
you realize how much it costs and you're like, well,
you was really out there like that car getting and
it was not. Well, each charm is about something cost
to one hundred dollars.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
So how much was it all together? It was more
than six hundred dollars on my wrist.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Everybody's listening compelled charm, but everybody knows about Pandora. First
you get the bracelet, which is about I want to say,
seventy eighty dollars. Then you have to get the clips.
Each clip is like maybe thirty. You get at least
like two or three of those, and then you get
the charms.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
And the charms don't come with the clips.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
No, well you put them so like when you get them,
you get them based on where you go. So like
I was getting like disney World, you get that at
disney World, or like Jamaica, you get that at Jamaica.
Can coon like the places I travel Sweden, everybody homework,
a key chain, a T shirt, you never heard of

(29:13):
a hat that's a Jamaica.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
But see that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
When you do it individually, you on mine, You're like, okay,
here on l eighty dollars, give me the nice little
Q charm. Then when the whole bracelet come off, you like, girl,
you talking about it, and I'm mad for you?

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Are you mad?

Speaker 4 (29:29):
But do you think it's a venue's responsibility to like
find your stuff, give your stuff back.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
It would be nice. It would be nice. It would
be nice. But is that a reason to give somebody
one star?

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Well, listen, they already deserved it, I said, in addition
to the bad review, I just want to let y'all
know if you do lose something, they're stealing it.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
No ball pit ate it.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Yeah, if the bracelet was too heavy, it had all
these charmed and all those children, all those children picked
up this Pandora versus like, oh my.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
God, the liaries.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
It's as colm cool anywhere. Like I said, I'm just
giving the details. I'm just letting them know what happened.
And then they could have emailed me back like what's up?

Speaker 1 (30:17):
I meana?

Speaker 2 (30:18):
The best thing about your Google reviews is when I'm
looking for something to eat. Because I'm a review reader,
I won't write them, but as an indecisive person, I
have to read the reviews to see if I want
to go somewhere or not. I'll be reading something and
I'll be like, hold on, there's a meaning.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Yeah, it is a rare of shunshine to see Amna
Amani in the reviews.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
It is helpful. Listen. I'm always writing them there's.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
So many people who will say something is good, and
you just have to understand that their standards are not
the same as yours.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Right, So yesterday you were saying, because we went to.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
A restaurant for my birthday but later birthday, thank you girls,
that was so nice, yay stuff, And you were like, oh,
sometimes I don't look at the reviews based off like
tastes because everybody's tastes that it's different. Because we literally

(31:14):
ordered food from a ramen spot and it tasted like
the back of my foot, and my foot might taste
better because we was just the curry didn't even taste
like curry.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
But everybody was.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Like, oh, the food so delicious. It was like, but
this is why you can't go off and taste for me.
Sometimes I just really want to know did they treat
you right? Was the service quick? Were they accommodating? Sometimes
that's what I need to know. It tastes good, yeah no,
but that's not I'm like, I'm I'm gonna read the
reviews and see, like if everybody, if everybody's clearly saying

(31:43):
the food is discussing, that's clearly the case. But if
you got one or two people coming be like I
didn't like the food, it was too much, butter it
was too much. I'm like, Okay, that clearly means that
it's just a specific palette for that person you click on.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
The people who are writing. Sometimes I actually really don't.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
I really don't. I sometimes I just I just read it. Well, yeah,
well you guys, I don't really have time for that. Okay,
that's all.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
It seems like the way you write these reviews, you
have time.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Well I have time for that, but time to read
and now investigate who the person is behind a review.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
You don't do that in the comments. Sometimes people be
going off in the comments.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
You'll let me see what this is to look like.
They always look like what they wrote.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Yeah, if I if I read a review and I'm
trying to question the validally, I'll go and see how
many other reviews they have written. So, now, if you
only wrote three reviews, I know that this is something
very personal. But if you wrote like fifty seven and
above or one hundred, and I'm like, okay, this person
is a reviewer and they that that would make it

(32:46):
valid for me.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Do you actually care about how many reviews people have?

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Well?

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yeah, because if you.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Only wrote two reviews out of your whole Google review situation,
then that mean them two reviews that you're not true
to this you this is just that should we start reviewing.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
Stuff, it's a whole community of people like you, huh,
because it just feels like it's just you out there.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
But sure, it ain just keeps coming up.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Well, they sent me a pen, so I have like
a bad way, a little Google pin.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
I should wear it. Can you send us this? Are you?
I'll send you the picture?

Speaker 2 (33:18):
And it looks like you make a difference around the
world because you are not just local.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
I yeah, what's the worst place you've been? The worst place?
The worst review that you ever were? Best? I guess
I told you all.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
The worst place was this lady standing me up, having
me standing outside, Okay, I do hate that. And then
we just had that nasty food that was that was
actually quite.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Livid because we spent a lot of money on that.
I should have got my money back for that.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
But then the situations where people come and be like, hey,
how can we fix this, and I'd be like.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Oh, yeah, welcome, I remember that we went to we
went to this.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah, you gotta say the specifics, but we went to receive.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
You got to go with the thing is that the
friend treated us. Okay, and this was on the house,
you know what, go ahead, let's.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Put it out there. It was not there. We went
to go floating tanks. Yeah, I want to take the
wind because you got to change the narrative. You got
to take control of the ner.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Y'all.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
I didn't know what to expect. We gonna win.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
I'm like, I have already been through this.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
This is my first time. I walk in. I'm like, okay,
it's cute.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
They take your shoes, they give you some nice little socks.
I'm not evenna hold you. I was doing it wrong.
I hopped in the tub with the socks on. That's
how you know I'm doing it. Got out and I
was like, I don't think this how I was supposed
to do this.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
But they were so nice. They gave me a new pair.
I said, look at that. Okay, came out a new persons.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Then I'm like, but during my float, I noticed it
was some hair in my tank.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
I said, you know that heads came from them socks.
Now that you tell our story, Yeah, the.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Place where the hair was it wasn't in the tub.
It was like up top, it was here. It was
nowhere where I feel as a professional swimmer. You dove
in with them socks and I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
To figure out what it was going through your mind.
It's the grippy sock, you know what it was.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
I didn't have flip flops to transfer from the shower
to the things, so for me, it was just like
put the socks on and then I didn't even register getting.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Now let's get to the more important parts. So was
a hair.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Start from the part where y'all need to understand. We
walked in and they was giving us rooms and I
was like, oh, I like the number.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
I think three. Can I have the room three?

Speaker 2 (35:44):
She was like, oh, I didn't really like check and
see what's good about it, but I'll do that for
you and set you up in there. I was like, perfect,
I get in my three, come out y'all a brand
new born person.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
But I see the hair, so I come over new
so you can you can see clear.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
So I go to the woman and I'm like, hey,
it's no big issue, but just wanted to let you
know it's some hair in the tank.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Yeah, that's why it's important to go with the flow. Oh, oh, oh,
is it so I put the hair on the tank.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Maybe we just learned that you may. But Amana, if
you didn't put the hair in the tank, that's not
the room she was gonna put you in.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
She hadn't prepped that room.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
And I get all that, But the way that I
was saying it to her was not saying it was
her fault. It was just for her to be aware. Hey,
when they do clean in it, they should check to
get the hair.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
That's it. I wasn't.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
I literally just was letting her know so they can
know for the next person. I had no issues. She said,
That's why it's important to go with the flow sometimes.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
And let me tell you how quick fast said those keyboard.
So we oh, we have the end of the thing.
Were chilling. You know, it's still for somebody else's card.
We go, we go, we go.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
But see, that's why I'm trying to let you know.
It's not about the money. It's not about the money.
Is I worked in customer service, so I know how
this is supposed to handle.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
I think we all worked in customers have we Okay?

Speaker 4 (37:20):
Well, I measured in communication so to did I to.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Three times? And landed on communications.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
What I don't remember sports something okay, sports sports marketing.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Okay, so let me what happened. So we actually still
had a lovely day.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
We went out a lot, I went home. I slept
like a baby, and I needed to flow because I cried.
Remember I cried in the floating thing. I was like,
oh my god, I just need to be stealing.

Speaker 4 (37:59):
For you said that you couldn't close your eyes for
most of the the Imana be lying, Yo.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Everything is not piecing again. Well, I've been floating so
many times, so what do you say. I don't that
was your first time floating. I definitely closed my eyes
on that sign. Okay, So that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Remember the other time I couldn't call it was because
I did three hours.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
So this isn't too much time to in the dark.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Listen at the end of the day. Don't be trying
to come for the facts. I'm telling you what the
facts are.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
The facts.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
I can't your sad have socks on them in a
sleep deprivation.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Tank, byn't you. The socks are the socks they put.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
They give you those two walk around so you don't
have to be barefoot or have your shoes on, right,
so that's why I think you either put the hair.
She says the hair was on the stand where the
hair was, but either either way, Marie, either way, that's
not the point.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
The point is the hair.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
I had to say was hey, there's hair in there,
and she say, I'll make sure somebody clean it up.
Thank you for letting me know. And we all could
have went on about our way. What if she said
that's why it's important to go with the flow. I
let them know what that she made a better their minds, potentially, potentially,
But her saying that's why you gotta go with the flow,
as if I don't, girl, I am the flow.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Okay, how abou dad? I mean you are nothing slow?
You are raging waters. You were the one.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
What happened was Amina saw her and her free people
Chloe Pants talking to her like that's why you gotta
go with the floor, and she.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Said, you know what.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
I was like, that's why it's important to see here
we go here we you know, we know the girls
that you're talking about, they all like next, no want
being about four times after she don't even work there
no more.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
I know that.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
I mean, this lady is unhappy, like we're home and
slept good.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
I woke up the next day like good did you sleep? Says?

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Good enough to wake up with some senses and be
like you need to let them know what we're down.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
You know enough?

Speaker 2 (39:53):
I did, and they was like, oh my god, I'm
so sorry that it's not right.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
You should have been told that come back for free.
When did it had another float? Was that the three?
That was like a two hours? No, that was just one.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
I go, I go here and there we've been again
that I wouldn't go back, Like I get why you
would have hair clearly in some water like that makes
but I'm just all.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
I was just letting you know what so you could
fix it. That's it. It was there want no talk, No,
it's quiet, ain't no back talk.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
This is a side place that you also do reviews
as Airbnb.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Well yeah, but I'm kicked off and you know that,
so don't like what's up?

Speaker 1 (40:32):
Like see this is the thing, like what are you
for me? Are you not? She's for a mess? That's what. Clearly, No,
I'm not doing that. We already did that. That's already
we need to know the background because you're passionate. You're
not the review you are.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
But why would we rehash the story that everybody already know.
Everybody does not know how you feel, Marie. I feel
like we've talked about this on Did we talk about
this on Thetificial Expert?

Speaker 1 (41:00):
We talked about her family.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
I remember the receipt about me is that I remember,
and I always have the proof.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
The proof is in the putting in the group chat.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
I think reviews are important to hold people accountable. I
also think that they're important to send recommendations. And I
also think it's important for storytelling. I like to sell
stories in mind.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
So you be you be fabricating things in your reviews.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
No, that's exagger First of all. First of all, I
just said storytelling like I'll give I let people know
what happened. I'm not lying in my reviews. Remember when
we was at the movie theater?

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Oh my god, yes, wait tell this. We went to
go see a quiet place.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
If you met us, we shouldn't be anywhere that says
quiet in it.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
We should not literally, Okay I didn't. I wasn't with
you there, but it was me and a mina and our
friend Ethan.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
I saw the very first quiet place with my loud
ass family.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
But We were also the only people in the theater
at the time.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Can I tell y'all, I never knew anything about the
Quiet Place movie. I did not know it was scary
till I sat down. In the first scene, Alien is
eating somebody's head off, I did. I just went for Lupida.
I just went.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
For everybody.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
Yeah, I just went to pull up because I'm like, oh,
my good sits in the movie. I know it's gonna
be good.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Let's go, let's go. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
I didn't even want I usually watched previews. I did
not even watch the preview.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
So you went blindly. I went blind to the movie.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
You went lying to a quiet place, cut yeap with
my friends having a good time. Y'all, I do not
do scary movies. I lost my mind in that theater. Well,
I first of all, I didn't even know that about
you that you don't do. I also didn't know your
scared me and scary movies. We went to Don't See Us,
and I lost it in air like anything that's suspended.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Remember you losing it.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
I will walk out to just take a breath, because
like when I'm in it, I'm I'm like I'm dying too.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
They running I'm running too, like we all in danger.
Y'all don't feel that.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
No people, And you know what's crazy is Andre also
doesn't like scary movies, and he went to see us too.
He was so I don't I didn't realize that both
of y'all were scared and didn't like I would lose
my mind in a it's okay. Yeah, so we at
a quiet place and I'm finding out in real time
that it's a scary movie. I can't keep my compulsion.

(43:24):
You cannot let alone be quiet. So now we in
the quiet place too. That's most crazy to me about
people just because they quiet, we gotta be quiet? Now, well,
I think typically when you order the movies, people expect
you to be quiet.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
In the beginning. That's like turn your phones off.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
That's what is talking about, which is wild to me
because aliens is literally chopping off people's heads and y'all
want to be in there. I mean, I'm saying that
you're supposed to be quiet as somebody who'll be loud
at the movie theaters.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
So I'm telling you.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
I'm rocking back and forth. I'm trying to say affirmations.
I'm trying to say it I'm talking to my friend
on the side, like, y'all tell me what happened and look,
but like every time I'm saying something, here go this
one over here.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Huh what you say?

Speaker 2 (44:08):
You hy So it's really not even just me being loud,
it's this one feeling like she got fomo, no.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Theater, I got the mic. Now, what's up? What's going on?
What you said? You know you want some candy calling
that right.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Here go?

Speaker 1 (44:32):
The security guard walks up. Hey, if y'all stop this
guard three security guards. They got their flashlights and everything.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
You could have swore that we were like smoking weed
or like touching each other, like the way they'll keep.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
This up, y'all getting kicked out.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Kicked out, I would have been like, were watching a
quiet place.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
But that's all. He could have said, Hey, some people
been complaining, can y'all.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Keep It was one person comp and it was a woman,
and she could have said she couldn't want us personally.
If she said something to y'all, y'all would have I
would have said, I would.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
Have said, my bad.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
We would have definitely.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Now y'all saying that now now, no, we would not
saying that we know we would have. He would have
even as I was losing my mind. I was trying
to lose it softly.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
It's just know that I'm good.

Speaker 2 (45:22):
You're trying to lose your mind softly. But this on
the record, my friend knows me. That was sitting next
to He know me.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
So I was like, for referra, you've seen me in
the theater. Did we call him?

Speaker 2 (45:32):
No, he's not gonna say anyway. He was like, nah,
for referal, that's you was doing good because he knows
how I am.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
He was like, no, for real, that was but good
for a Yeah, that's the best thing you could behave.
That's not meaning that you're doing good. That's good.

Speaker 2 (45:47):
I'm just trying to let you know that was mobile effort.
My effort was trying to be better. But you mean
you allowed at heart at the end of the day,
you're threats. I don't do threats when I'm paying money
for services and and and move and whatever else.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
Whatever time, I'm I gonna do threats.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
So we walked out of that movie and I said, Sydney,
you got two choices. You're gonna skip on home now,
or you could be here for the whole ride.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Because the Ethan did pick up? Picked up? Ethan is
on the phone right now. Ethan picked up. Ak you
so much? Wait, no, no, no, I'm talking.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
Okay, Yes, we are on the podcast right now, Amina,
and we're talking about remember when we almost got kicked
out of the quiet place. I want you to have
a great Daycadal day.

Speaker 1 (46:41):
Remember were talking about how I usually am. Wasn't I
doing better in that theater compared to all the movies?

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Were said, yes, yeah, I'm trying to say that better
for her. That's not good for anybody, But it still
means that I was making the effort.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
I was still making the making. Look at the right.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
There, well, okay, okay, hello, Ethan, tell him I was
making an effort to be quiet.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
You was, but you were still loud. But Sidney loud.
I'm gonna hit you.

Speaker 4 (47:18):
Back, love you bye, baby girl.

Speaker 1 (47:22):
You said he was gonna pick up and did. I'm
about to text him right now why.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
It was, but he did, but he I'm out of
text him right now.

Speaker 1 (47:31):
While you have.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
Marie the way she had me outside of the movies,
I was scared of my life how she has She said, Sidney,
tell me if I'm going crazy right now, I was
like absolutely.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
She was like because she was like, I need the manager.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
No, Sydney. This is this is Sydney. This is why
I text you I phone. This is why you paid
the one hundred and fifty for your wraggedy nails, because
you stand for nothing and you fall for everything. We
was at the theater and I said, hey, no, I
said you can head out. I said, sid head out

(48:28):
because I'm handling this. She's like, no, I want to
be here to support you.

Speaker 1 (48:30):
I said, let me know.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
No, no, no, She's like no, I mean no, you're
not tripping. They was wrong for what they did. And
I said, okay, did you say you say that you.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
Need to keep it real right to head? Yes, I
have the gun on you gun. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
No, let me tell you I wasn't even gonna trip
on them. I came, I said, hey, I just need
to speak to the manager. Mind you. I had to
use the restroom. I left my water bottle and said,
I go back up. I come down. It's three managers.
I said, oh, we're doing this so that she had
no sleeves.

Speaker 1 (49:05):
Why pulling them up while y'all had to get three
managers Because I'm a black woman.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
So then I had to say all them straight and
I said, hey, hey, we sitting here going back and forth.
What usually happens when someone is dissatisfied.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
With their movie experience.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
He'll go one of the dumb managers, we give them
tickets for another movie. I said, well, that's what y'all
gonna do today.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
We have no receipt for tickets.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
And she didn't.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
Paid for the tickets. You are a repeat offender.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
You already is treating you to something, and you the
one you, the person at the.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Table, will ah well crazy to the managers. Put down this.
It's principal.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
At the end of the day, I ain't even us
some tickets because babe, let me say, they gonna never
see me at that movie.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
There again, I ain't see.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
Hey, this is.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
Podcast is sponsored by MC right now, So I mean,
and you do go see AMC movie.

Speaker 1 (49:59):
No, but this was regal and they the devil. That's
that theater.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
I'm not doing it, but I mean, I don't want
to put that on your podcast like that, but you did.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
But I can't do it, girl. I'll take I actually taken.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
Four anc got better seats and they're heated and they
have better reward.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Systems and everything.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
So I found my place and I found where I
need to go and it's not.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
And they let you be loud at AMC. So I've
had not an.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
Issue or threats or a problem at the anti theater.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
So they gave you how.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
Many tickets they gave me because it was just two
of us, so they just gave me.

Speaker 4 (50:37):
Two and what you said, gave me too.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
So I was like, she was like, you want this.
I was like, but I, and I gave him. I
gave him to because he did pay for the tickets.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
I gave the tickets to eating because I said they
won't catch me back there. But I just knew Justice
said to be third, because you're not going to be
threatening me at a movie theater. That's just not how
it works. That's unprofessional. All you had to say is, hey,
this is one the number one.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Y'all.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Gotta keep it down. People are being distart, y'all gonna
get kicked out. Okay, kick me out, kick me out?

Speaker 1 (51:06):
So did you finish the movie or did you get up?
We finished the.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Movie, and then we were the stress of them threatening
me and the stress of aliens eating people's heads on
my mind, and the stress of the lady that told
we walk out, and then people were like, oh, y'all
were hilarious. Y'all were really funny. They look they the
people who were watching the movie. They thought we were funny.
Some people do enjoy when you know and comments when

(51:29):
you make like oh that I'll feel ugly your hair
is sposed.

Speaker 3 (51:32):
You know.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Some people do enjoy that, but other people do want
you to shut up, which I get, but it's like.

Speaker 4 (51:37):
You get I knew you who are very You are
a very stronghold on the quiet car on the Amtrak.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Because but you run people. You were like, hey, you're
gonna have to do you.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
You follow the rules in the choirt car, but can't
follow the rules at a quiet place. Y'all are missing it.
Y'all are missing it, and that's why you are who
you are. No, y'all are missing it. In the I
was experienced something in real time. It was happening in
real time, and I had no space to process it.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
That's it. It's a movie. Ain't nothing to process except
the pictures.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
That's what y'all, Because when I'm watching a movie, that's
not how it is.

Speaker 1 (52:12):
I was stressed. I was stressful, Lupita.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
I was stressed for.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
You for The White Man without saying that movie stressed me.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
Was in processing that ticket. You did not have to
pay for it, And you know what, I love that
for you. I love that for you.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Yeah, I mean, did you have any like rules or
like maybe advice to people who are giving like Google reviews? Honestly,
I the rules that I would say, I don't even
really follow. But since you, since you asked, I feel
like I should say something, keep it, keep it brief,
something I don't do. Sometimes they gotta be like you

(52:52):
out of characterists.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
You gotta have a how many caps you get for.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
I don't even know, but I remember that review for
the movie theater. I ran out let them. I should
have made another because.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
It was it was half of our day. We had
to walk it off.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
We literally had to walk after that, and then she
went to work and was still talking about it still
because we told everybody traumatize them, but it's okay.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
Try to leave your emotions out of it, you know.

Speaker 4 (53:19):
If you, if you guys can go to the regal
uh you know, Instagram page and put palm trees underneath.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
Let them know, please, let them know. I'm telling you
I'm so sick of them. I'm so sick of them, or.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
You put justice from me. I encourage people to write
them too, because they do help me.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
They helped me pick hotels, they helped me pick venues,
they helped me choose restaurants, brunch, all of that type
of stuff. I feel like I always will read the
review and be like, oh, come here, because this is
giving five stars.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
I'll read the reviews before before I do anything.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Oh, especially hotels too, because we've had our bout with
that too.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
But we don't have time for that best hotel you've
been in? Best. Yeah, it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Your card, girl, Girl, girl, I will say that some
of the best and the worst hotels have not been
on my card. So will you be on the road
literally full tea? But no, I'm saying it some nice hotels,

(54:20):
but no, I'm not really paying for that best hotel
you've been in, Marie, best I've ever been in.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
I don't know. I wasn't prepared for that question.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
Yeah, she said, you asked me that from another time,
But I know the worst one I stayed that girl,
I was in Baltimore.

Speaker 1 (54:34):
Well there you go, myself y'all literally started.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
I walk in and somebody at the desk talking mad
because somebody walked into the room while they was in
the room. That's I just want to let you know
that was me just walking in being greeted. I'm into
this already, you know, confrontation. But yeah, so I won't
do that again. You really got to read the reviews
and locked the double, locked the door triple.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Oh yeah, it is true. You do, you do gotta
do that.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
I wish I cared about review I only started looking
at reviews because of y'all, because we'll be about to
walk into a place and you're like, hold on, well hold.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
On, yeah, yeah, let's check it out stars.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
Yeah, as somebody who doesn't really read review Sidney, how
has that affected your experience with.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
Reading the reviews on that nail? Someone you go to, sis,
I'm sure they're good. It's it's a it's a usually
good spot.

Speaker 2 (55:23):
I think that that particular person was just over me,
and I, honestly I get I came in not knowing
what the hell I wanted, and it was early in
the morning, and I was like, how long is this
gonna take?

Speaker 1 (55:35):
So taking the blame it's crazy just to save the.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
Reviews for you who don't really, I mean, you don't
want to hold yourself accountable.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
I'm holding myself accountable. I'd be like, that's on me.
I say that all the time, but when it's not
on me, I'm not. I'm not taking it.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
I mean everything that you said today was the socks
and the flo.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
She told you, hey, this one not ready, you're like
my answer, not knowing what a white place was. That's
also you, you know, But I'm glad that at the
end of it you alway, it's always rectified for you.

Speaker 4 (56:14):
Yeah, because with them fixing it with something like, hey,
you're come back.

Speaker 2 (56:19):
Oftentimes I don't. I don't even write the reviews to
get stuff back. But oftentimes if I do, businesses that
care about the reviews and care about their perception and
a reputation, they will follow up and make it right.
Because that's what customer service truly is. In my opinion,
that's true whenever whenever somebody is like, oh they didn't
like this, A didn't like that, we'll take it off,

(56:40):
or like you know, when I'm like, oh, I just
want these people to just like have a good time,
you know, I give them a couple of shots. I'll
take something off the menu. I'll give them some free
like just to accommodate.

Speaker 4 (56:52):
And even if you do that, people still go back
on that review and be like bla la la.

Speaker 1 (56:56):
It's like, hey, I give you hush shots.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Those are two hush Why are you still giving a
bad review after I hit you off with two hundred
dollars worth of shots. Even if you don't like a drink,
you send it back and they like, we're not taking it.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
Off your bill. I didn't drink it, though. I feel
like that's something that like, you should take that off. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Wow, I feel like I also just got yelled at.

Speaker 1 (57:21):
At a fireplace. We did we wear you out? I'm sorry,
we we do. We do have Yeah, I on the charger.
Can you open it and I'll read it on yours?
I mean a girl. I think, and I've been saying this, that.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
You should release a coffee table book full of all
your Google reviews because they're so they're all, they're so different,
they're so good. Have you ever reviewed like a zoo
or an aquarium something like that. An aquarium, for sure,
you were like, the fish look sick, girl, the water
is not clean.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Yeah, I was gonna go. I was gonna go.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
The fills was doing what they need to do. You know,
I do write reviews about a I.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
Was reading the reviews somewhere I went, and they were
just like, they don't need to have no animals near
this place.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
This was bad. Do not go. We actually need to boycott. Yeah, yeah, okay,
are you ready?

Speaker 3 (58:12):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Beyonce mess question mark, question mark question mark.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
That's the title.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
Hey Messi's longtime listener, meaning I still rerun the unoficial
Expert episode first time messenger.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
I have some Beyonce mess for you.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Some friends and I decided to go see Beyonce in
another country because the ticket prices were much cheaper, and
we figured we'd be down for a little excursion, right, I,
thirty three year old man, mostly planned the ticket purchases
with one of my best friend's thirty six year old male.
When buying the tickets, he mentioned he was excited because
it was around his birthday, and I took this to

(58:48):
mean that he was going to use the concert ticket
as a gift to himself. Okay, oh, that's good. After
everyone gets their tickets, around six of us, he sends
a text saying basically that this is his birthday trip
and that he wants us to have dinner for his birthday. Now,
I am fine with the birthday dinner. I love my

(59:09):
friend and I'm happy to celebrate him. But I'm confused
because we never spoke about this being a birthday trip.
I hadn't said anything to him because he didn't actually
ask for anything too crazy. But I'm nervous that when
we actually get there, he may try to make the
trip about him and my tripping.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
Or is this mess?

Speaker 2 (59:27):
And would you say something to your friend before the
trip additional contacts that may be useful.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
I'm going with my boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
I do think the message was supposed to be cute
and fun, but it just came off a bit weird
because he didn't just ask to do a birthday dinner.
He started referencing the whole trip. Note he sent is attached. Okay, sincerely, Julius,
Okay B day and Yonce B Day and Yonce June

(59:54):
fourth night flight Wednesday, June fifth, be in London at
some point Thursday, and it's sick rest. I want dinner
and everyone to look sexy as fuck before and after.
I don't care you do you? June sixth Friday, I
don't care you?

Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Do you?

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
One? Sixth seventh Saturday, Beyonce Day, Hunty June eighth and
ninth Saturday, and Monday? I don't care you, do you?
I'll probably fly out on Monday. I don't want to
make this trip all about me or my birthday. I
just want us all to enjoy ourselves and be free.
No pressure to do anything you don't want to do.
I do come before Beyonce though, I love dinner every

(01:00:34):
But it doesn't sound like he's made the trip all
about him.

Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
No, no, no, see, this is what you don't want
you to stay these people, which obviously I kind of
fall into this.

Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
It's like oh no, no, no, no, chill, no, no worries,
Like I'm not pressuring anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
That absolutely means the pressure is on you.

Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
Read between that, yeah, oh.

Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
No, I'm I'm holding myself accountable and yes, when I'm
hearing this when they say I don't want to make
this about me, but I come before Beyonce, that is somebody,
big diva, big diva, pulling it out and they're trying
to be demure about it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
They're going to be hell. That is that is how
is he gonna say something though?

Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
But look it says June fourth nightth flight, June fifth,
be in London at dinner. Dinner is on the fifth,
then Friday, do what you want, and then Saturday is Beyonce.

Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
So this person is just asking for the fifth and
the seventh. How long they been friends. That's a good
that's a good poet.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
I think, because he has uh trepidations. Julius, you gotta
say something because this was not your birthday trip. If
you wanted a birthday trip, then you should have said, hey,
just like for me, we going and it ain't got
nothing to do with my birthday. But I'm like, this
is our birthday, so this is my birthday celebration. I
made that known from up top, so now we all
know why we going. Well, to be fair, you made

(01:01:56):
it known after you bought the tickets for the for
the no no no, yes, you.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Might have known after you bought the tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
No no, no, no no no, because hey, I want to
go to see Beyonce for my birthday. Then we found
out caveat we can't go on the actual day and
tom because we have other friends with other priorities.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
So then we pivot and now make it a birthday thing.

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
But just after the birthday.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
I mean, I mean I just know I do come from.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
Yeah. How how this is a coincidence that we get this?
Isn't it crazy? Yes's insane. It's similar. I can't believe.

Speaker 4 (01:02:46):
Friends that have traveled so much for each other's birthdays.
I mean, I mean we've been to New Orleans, We've
been to Morocco, Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Mexico, Mexico.

Speaker 4 (01:02:56):
I mean we've been traveling for many, many years. So
we are understand. I think you have to start up top.
This is for my birthday. Yeah, we are going to
celebrate or or sometimes we were like this was already
going to be a trip and then it's like, hey,
we should probably do a dinner for the birthday.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
But this person is definitely telling them that they are
doing something on his birthday.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Yeah. Yeah, and anybody didn't already paid yeah for the trip.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
And Julius, you didn't include it in the email. I
don't know if they sent you the money for the
ticket or that's the ticket is your guests. When I
thought the message was going when he said that, yeah,
he was like everybody sent they money in and He's like,
thank you for the birthday gift.

Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
Listen, you guys are gonna have a great time. They're
gonna have a good time.

Speaker 4 (01:03:37):

already gonna be bic hectic.

Yeah, and concerts.

Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
I mean Beyonce, the way people were like having to
stand for Renaissance. I don't know, honey, I don't know.
After they go to Beyonce, they might not. Well, they're
doing dinner before the concerts. Were just smart because I
know sometimes you do a big thing, we wiped out.

Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
There's nothing happening after that.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Yeah, but it's dinner two days before Beyonce. He said,
whatever y'all do on Friday is your business. Yeah, I say,
just give him a little cake or something, a little
sachet or something and then just that's it.

Speaker 1 (01:04:17):

going with your boyfriend, so you're doing your own already.
