Speaker 1 (00:01):
Missy, I believe it was only this past Saturday or
some other day.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Thomas, you could tell me better, But the Emmys just
had their award show. I don't really care what day
it was, because the opening I want to make is
that nothing on television can provide cinema. Nothing can tell
a story better than sports, and the pinnacle of all
sports is the NFL. We just got done watching the
Monday Night Football Atlanta Falcons versus the Eagles and whatever one.

(00:38):
Emmys just they lost. They absolutely lost to Monday Night
Football and Primetime Kirk who suddenly shows up and wins
on a last second play. The Dynasty Exchange is back.
We missed week one through technical difficulties. I would like
to make the joke we were injured like many of
your stars. We'll talk about that tonight. But I am
joined by Thomas. Dylan is not with us and probably
won't be with us for some time because he is

(01:00):
getting ready to enter welcome a new member into his family.
So we're very, very excited for him going on paternity leave.
So if he pops in before then, it's only because
he's just so gracious. But Thomas, it's good to have
you here. Except I'm a Cowboys fan and you're a
Saints fan, and I have a lot of come uppings
to receive from that, I assume.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah, yeah, man, I listen, there's nothing like there's a
lot of joys I have in the world, like you know,
ice cream on a hot day, or you know, a
nice walk in the park, but there's just this certain
specific joy that comes from beating the Cowboys. I don't

(01:43):
know what that is. But when you and especially when
you throttle them like the Saints did, oh man, you
just can't take my joy away.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I didn't even hear what you said. I muteed to
you because I assume that was being abused. You were,
you were, yeah, okay, cool, yeah, good mute.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I mean much like we're talking to a little bit
about it before the show. I really want to get
into the Monday night football reaction. But the Saints versus
the Cowboys, as well as Atlanta versus the Eagles, and
so much of what has happened in these first two
weeks preseason. The only thing that mattered in preseason is
who's injured, and like nothing else tells the real story.

(02:22):
Because I thought for sure after the Cowboys came out
and shlacked. The Browns were the better team, and I
thought the vibes in the preseason coming off from the Saints.
I was like, this is a dumpster fire. It actually
reminded me a lot of kind of the Cardinals last
year where they released that hype video. He's like, do
you feel it? And it was again, it looks like
a loser. It was like, oh, this team's gonna suck.
They didn't. They were very competitive with backups and whatnot.

(02:45):
And the Saints, Man, was it ninety something points scored
in the first two games. You could not have paid me.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, yeah, something like that. Ninety one? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Can you imagine if you'd put money on the Saints
to win the first two games by alternate spread of
twenty plus apiece? Like what the payout must be?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I was, I know, that's the first thought I had.
That's the first thought I had. But you know, man,
I gotta be honest. Man, who saw this coming, Even
Saints fans like I talked to Saints fans over like,
people who have been with us for years and years,
like there was a buzz about playing koolba and the
b B reporters were talking about it, and he said,

(03:24):
there's a lot of play. Action, is a lot of motion,
all of that stuff. But we didn't see, like you said,
we didn't see it in the preseason, like they didn't
show it to us. They kept their cards close to
the chest. And now they are letting it fly. And
it's like, I've never seen Derek Carr play as well. Man.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
It's just if you have him in super flex, you
are shocked. You shocked, you are a staff I have it,
I haven't. I know. It's it's absolutely wild. Well, we
got to get into the fantasy implications. But part of
the reason I'm okay talking about the Cowboys and the
Saints and getting it out of the way is I
thought for sure the Eagles were going to be the
division winners at two and zero. I thought the Cowboys
were going to be punching up the rest of the season.
I think Eagles have an unbelievable offense in terms of personnel.

(04:02):
But somehow Kirk Cousins in the Atlanta Falcons at the
last possible second, not only rescue there, you know, a
last second victory. I wonder I know this happened for
me in a league. Drake London a last second touchdown.
How many fantasy games were changed and Drake London was
asleep the entire game. He's a player that has been

(04:25):
I know it's only the first two weeks, but he
was being drafted as a top ten wide receiver in redraft,
certainly in dynasty leagues. It is so like, so much
relief to see him do something of value with Kirk
early on, because if he had, if he'd only posted
a three for thirty on the day, your panic meter
starts to rise because Darnell Mooney seems to be getting

(04:47):
Darnell Mooney and Ray o'cloud seemed like they were ahead
of the pecking order for Drake London for most of
the game.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Right, Yeah, I think what we see in Man is
like when we see less and less of playing in
the preseason, there has to be some kind of report
that's developed, and like I mean, look at Arizona, it
took two weeks for Marvin Harrison to get rolling. You
didn't even look his way basically in the first week,
and that's just like I think, that's just like a

(05:14):
lack of relationship between those players, Like you have to
have the unspoken going on as well as like the
play calls and all of that. And I also think
Kirk Cousins is like still building his confidence. And I
don't know if Philly just like basically just opened the
door for him to just walk through and like say, okay,
now I'm back. But that last drive, they look like

(05:36):
vintage Kirk Cousins. It was great.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
No, it didn't look like vintage Kirk Cousins. It looks
like Kirk Cousins during a ten AM game, certainly not
in primetime.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Yeah, I'm making the joke. The knock on Kirk for
years has been he can't win in a primetime game
when the lights of the brightest, they absolutely march down
the field. Kyle Pitts had a very disappointing day, But
I got to say I have hope for this offense
because of exactly what you brought up, the preseason issues.
None of these guys played in the preseason. We have
no idea. You know, the NFL is trying to go

(06:09):
to an eighteen game regular season very soon. I wouldn't
be surprised if we don't even know who NFL teams
are through Week six or Week seven in the future,
because it just seems like these guys are still learning
to gel together, and for fantasy purposes, I'm willing to
take swings on guys that disappoint in the first two
weeks if I start to see some traction with the
offense as a whole moving over to the Eagles side,

(06:33):
you know, of this game, they seemed like they should
have been up by twenty points several times. Saquon was
running at one point during like the second or third
drive of the game, at almost ten yards a clip.
It seemed like it was just like, hey, they can
have their way. And then they got penalties and some
weird play calls, and then they I think they went yeah,
they went forward on like fourth and three or fourth
and four when the game was still Scoles's like they

(06:55):
could have easily kicked the field goal. Eagles let this
one get away from them. But for fantasy perpose, says,
it seems like the usual suspects are gonna get fed
no matter what. And it was great to see Jalen
Hurts scrambling again. That was kind of missing towards the
tail end of last year. I have him. I have
shared with him in some you know, fun leagues, you know,
kicks and giggles type of leagues. But when I see
Jalen Hurts on the team, I'm still like, Okay, I've

(07:17):
got a guy, I've got a stud. And so it
was good to see him get over eighty yards rushing
on the day.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yeah, No, it was great to see him running again,
man like. And I don't know if any of it
had to do I'm sure some of it had to
do with A. J. Brown not being there, but the
fact that he was able to like look like, he
looked like more spread than I've seen him in a while.
Like last year he seemed like he.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Was hurt healthy every He wasn't healthy last.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
He wasn't healthy all season. So I mean today it
felt like, Okay, we might get the old Jalen Hurts back.
And I mean that the Saquon fall on the one
yard line just really the tousch Bushcunna work every time.
So if they ever get on the one yard line,
just just chuck.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Well yeah, yeah, I mean Saquon had too. You know,
he drops on the third and three to make it
fourth and three, he drops that easy pass that was
probably a walk in touchdown before being honest, like he
would have scored there.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah, that's your question about that. Do you do you
think that was a good call?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I do, I you know, like I think it's a
I don't think we realize how good Atlanta's defense is either.
And once again we're fantasy shot. I don't want to
talk too much NFL football, but it's good to know Atlanta,
I don't believe is a team you're gonna look forward
to the matchup with. You have two very good corners.
They're one of the best in the league in a j. Terrell.
Their safeties are nasty. There's not a lot of players

(08:33):
that can make DeVante Smith drop a pass. I know
he's a smaller guy, but like Jesse Bates and Justin
Simmons are studs in the middle, and so I you know,
Raheem Morris is a very very good offensive court or
defensive coordinator as well. So I liked the tendency breaker.
That's just an execution thing, you know what I mean.
You can't Saquon makes that catch ten times out of

(08:55):
ten and it was just ninety nine thousand and nine,
or you know, one of the thousand he drops it.
I don't know what I'm trying to say there, but
it was awesome to see because.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
I got all.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I feel like I got all the fantasy stuff that
I wanted to see and the Eagles still lost, which
is a Cowboys fan, was just just what I needed
after a rough week because there were so many injuries
that we have to get into. But one player do
you want to touch on? Davonte Smith? If AJ Brown
is out for an extended period of time, which we
don't know if he is, but hamstrings they tend to linger.

(09:28):
Is Davante Smith a top twelve guy while AJ Brown
is gone.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
No, I think he's high. I think he's high in
wide receiver too. I think DeVante Smith benefits a lot
from AJ Brown's presence. Not to say that he is
not a dynamic player in his own right, but I
think what you'll see is more of Jalen Hurts running
the ball, more of Saquon Barkley running the ball, more

(09:55):
of like passes to Saquon. I believe the Ante Smith
as good of a player as he is to qualify
him as a top twelve receiver, I'm gonna be put like,
I mean, we're talking about like elite neighbors who was getting
eighteen targets. We're talking about you know Tyree Marvin Harris,

(10:16):
Marvin Harrison, who's like blowing up Tyreek Hills still gonna
get his targets. I just don't think he's gonna be
the alpha that commands ten the eleven, twelve targets a game.
And if he does, if for some reason he does,
they're gonna be high variants because he doesn't have the
body type to withstand it. I think you see a
lot more deft.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I tend to disagree, man. I think he had ten
targets tonight. I mean he had he should have had
two touchdowns. They look for him in the red zone.
I do agree that he actually benefits from AJ Brown
because you can't double him, you can't put your best
corner on it. And that's what makes him special in
a lot of ways. But I think he's gonna have
the target share. I think Jalen Hurts is gonna look
for him more. You know who I want to see
step up? They have this guy Covey had to really

(10:59):
really game Brian Britton Covey, first time I've ever heard
of him. He had six targets, like he had a
game plan. You know, turn up for him. I don't
want to see more of him, see Han Dotson. I
know he's new to the team, but in this situation,
if you're a dynasty owner, you Johan Dotson, you were
stoked for after his rookie season. I remember going into
the season last year, Johan Dodson was still being traded

(11:20):
for a first in some leagues because people were excited
about what he could become. Obviously he gets traded too
the Eagles. He did nothing tonight, and I don't know
if it's just him still acclimating, but I believe he
could be a great additional option to this offense. You know,
catch four or five passes, have six or seven targets.
If AJ Brown is going to continue to be.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Out, yeah, I agree with that. I just I really
just believe that Davante is going to struggle more without
having AJ Brown on the field, and I think I
think the Eagles offense is going to struggle a lot more.
I just AJ Brown to me is top tier receiver.
I mean, what is he top five? Top six you
could argue, but he's He's somewhere in that top five range.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
From an NFL perspective, Dude, like the what he brings
to the table that we don't see from a fantasy
I mean, his his size and strength, him blocking downfield.
If you're Saquon Barkley, you feel great.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Exactly exactly. So I'm I'm I'm this is me just
projecting what I believe Philly is gonna try to do
and what I saw towards at the end of the game.
I saw a lot more short passes and runs and
Jalen Hurts. I don't think it was a mistake that
he was running the ball more. They were like they
were design runs that they made for him. And I
think you'll see a lot more that DeVante Smith, if

(12:28):
he does creep up in the top twelve, is gonna
be one of the low end ones. But I think,
I to me, I'm just I'm gay. I'm hedging my
bets with him, and I'm saying he's gonna be a
high end wide receiver two.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
And that see's you know, he's more than fine either way.
Big Smith, sake one. Barkley my guy in the air.
I think he's first of all. His opening week was spectacular.
He is he looks so good. It's fun to see
him in an offense that you know can open up
some running room. For him because he is electrical. The
ball in his hands he just has to catch sometimes. Listen,
I would love the Eagles to be Fantasy Gold and

(13:04):
lose every game this season. So the night made me
really really happy. Hats off to the Falcons, Thomas. We've
come to the point of the show. We're gonna have
to take a break and then we have to get
to just the dirty work of talking about eight thousand injuries.
So take a deep breath. We'll need it, and we'll
see you on the other side. Just get a start
at the top of a list I pulled up this morning,

(13:25):
and not even every player. This list doesn't encompass every
player we still need to talk about. But Jordan Love
mcl he's gonna be out three to four weeks, potentially
a little bit earlier. I'm hearing some good vibes around
Jordan Love getting back early. Mileigual As looked good. He
has been injured. Tua tongue of Iloa concussion really concerning,
really dramatic. That affects Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddle, and that's listen,

(13:49):
We're just gonna be going through this list of injuries
because I don't even have the ability to talk or
give analysis on all of them. I just want to
point out we know Fantasy has injuries. This is atrocious.
Someone needs to change the settings and just I'm not
asking to turn off injuries. Lower the slider. It's at
like eighty percent right now. Put it down to like
twenty percent. Have you ever played Madden Franchise mode before?

(14:10):
No one wants this. Let me continue Tua, what's also?
What's not Listen Jalen watalld Tyree Hill aren't gonna be
on the injury report, but they take a massive hit
with Tua being out. You know what I mean, Like,
there's so many other people affected. For example, Christian McCaffrey's out.
That affects brock perty So, Christian McCaffrey, calf Achilles, he's
on IR. Isaiah Pacheco found out today he's going on IR.

(14:31):
We'll get back to him. I want to talk about
him at length. Ken Walker likely out multiple weeks. I
found that out and I was reading this list. I'm
not enjoying it. Taj Spears ankle, Raheem Moster chest, Joe
Mixon high ankle spring, tbd on I've heard no news
on Joe Mixon today. Have you no, no, another name, Poukainakua,

(14:54):
he's on IR, Cooper Cup most likely going on IR.
He was seen with a walking boot. Keenan Allen week
to week Hollywood Brown, I are probably season ending. I've
heard on Hollywood Brown. So you just wasted your draft
pick if you took a shot on Hollywood Brown. In
Best Baller anywhere, te Higgins has yet to play. He's
already missed two weeks. Hamstring, aj Brown hamstring, Jordan Addison
high ankle. We have forgotten about Jordan Edison. He was

(15:16):
supposed to have a great sophomore year. Josh Downs, Evan Ingram,
David and Joku, Jake Ferguson, Taysom Hill, Deebo, Samuel who's
not on that list? I just add that Thomas, it's
a year, my man, and we have so it is
a war of attrition. Of the names I just read,
which one pops out to you the most?

Speaker 4 (15:37):
And why?

Speaker 2 (15:37):
And what should Dynasty players be doing with some of
these names? Is there any advice or maybe even just
a motion connected to some of the names I just read,
because I know for me I have Ken Walker, not
in Dynasty, but in so many re draft leagues. I
was so high on him this year. He starts out
so well, and by week two already I have no
idea if I'm going to get to see him play.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Again, right man? And do you just reading that list
made me realize how many stars on that list. Those
are big time, game changing, pendulum swinging players on that list.
I think for me, man, I gotta tell you if
what really gets me out of that whole entire list,

(16:16):
it's two players. I'm gonna say two. I'm a cheat
and say two Cooper Cup and Deebo Sammer because of
the injuries that already exist on those franchises and what
they potentially Those are both playoff teams. One went to
the Super Bowl and barely lost the Super Bowl, and
now like you've changed the whole dynamic of their offense.
I look, if I'm a fantasy manager, I am trying

(16:40):
to maybe, like, look at these rookies who are going
to probably pop off at some point, who people aren't
you know, people aren't really sure, and I want to
put them on the end of my bench, Maybe stash
somebody I'm looking at, like a jail And McMillan or
somebody like that. Just throw him on the India bench.
He's playing a lot of snaps. You know, you just

(17:00):
want to see somebody.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Say that, not rookies, not even rookies on the Rams
or the Niners, because Ricky pearsol has a wide open
opportunity if and when he gets back on the field
and healthy Jeordia Whitington.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
You know, they're both widely available in fantasy leagues and
your dynasty league. They might be obviously on somebody's roster,
but if you can make a small trade for one
of those players, and I agree, like a Ricky piersoll Is,
but not even just Ricky Pierson, a Jawan Jennings. Yeah,
Jawan Jennings is playing right now, like you could go

(17:34):
get him. We don't know Ricky Pearson's timeline, but if
you want to take a chance, maybe like throw a
small trade offer for one of those guys, get them now,
because it doesn't sound like these people are coming back
anytime soon.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
No, it's it's a year. It feels like this will
be a year of survival for dynasty rosters who can
stretch out health longer than anybody else. I know a
lot of teams just looking at both of our leagues
and excited at the back half of the show, I
have a chance to interview Keith Jackson, a member, a
friend of yours personally. You know, you knew him before
I started playing Fantasy with him. But we're gonna be

(18:09):
introducing more and more members of our league and kind
of talking through trades and stuff that takes place in
our league, because at the core of it, this show
is built around Hey, this is a group of people
playing in This is a show about a league essentially,
and as you guys meet more characters, it becomes easier
to tell a larger story and give trades and stuff
in context. But like Cooper Cup, dude, he was someone that,

(18:35):
like Keith had on a roster. That's like, dude, I've
got with the Puka being out because Puka is another name,
Like Puka's huge, right, Puka's gone. You think Cooper Cup
is about to have a season similar to what he
did in twenty twenty two where he won the Triple
CN Like he's gonna I mean he had eighteen targets
his first game. Think who's the same or no, I
think I was twenty one, like eighteen or so.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
It was.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
It was crazy the amount of target's Cooper Cup was
seeing he's gone for multiple weeks, He's thirty one, almost
thirty two, I think, if not thirty two already, is
he dead for Dynasty? Is it time to hang it
up with Cooper Cup this way? Is it just not
worth it to trade him away where he's just gonna
if you have him, he's going to retire on your

(19:19):
roster you're playing when he's healthy.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Man, that's such a tough call. I don't want to
be reactionary to it if I'm the Cooper Cup manager.
But when this smoked this fire, right, I believe that.
And this has been a couple of injuries in a
couple of seasons, and even last year when he was
relatively healthy, he wasn't producing at the Cooper Cup level, right.

(19:46):
So honestly, I hate to say this, but yeah, I
think if you could sell him, if you can find
somebody that'll sell you something that you can use and
that's playable for you, it's better to get off of
him now knowing that there is a time mind for
him to come back, and maybe somebody who has a
deep roster, can you know, endure that timeline, And if

(20:07):
you could find somebody who can do that then you
make a trade for him. If it's a future asset,
then do that. But I think it's I think it's
getting to that point where it's happened so many times
over so many years. We can't just look at that
those two seasons and say, man Cooper cup is going
to be that again, because it's thirty two years old,

(20:29):
and we know that the cliff thirty one thirty two
is around the corner. We know that the cliff for
receivers is thirty so you just can't trust it. And
I would. I would probably want to get off of
him if I can't.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
If you could get a high second for him, if
you're not competing otherwise I would do it. Yeah, I
would do I wouldn't be surprised that. I mean, it's
hard because when he does play, you feel like this
guy call for thirty points, no problem, Like he still
looks really sharp when he's out there. He really does.
But it's it's unfortunate. The hell's real deal. Moving to
the deebo sid I know he sort of already talked
about it. That would have been another guy I think

(21:01):
to highlight as well, debo is used like a running back.
Debo I think they have an out with his contract,
like next year, he doesn't have much guaranteed money left.
They draft for Key Pearsall. Is this the beginning of
the end for Deebo as a high end wide receiver
two wide receiver one for fantasy year in year out?
Is this injury going to be kind of the last?

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Or aw?

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Are you like nah Man? I trust Debo? He's still
in his prime. Uh, you know, keep moving forward.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
I think so. I have a different take on Deebo.
I don't think Deebo's with the Ford to nine is
next year. I think they have to because they have
to pay party. They got to get somebody off the contract.
They just drafted Piersol, they drafted Kyween, they got Juwan
Jennings for another year.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Under contended, McCaffrey extended, extended.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Everybody can't do all of it, so they're going to
have to get off Deebo. I believe if Deebo goes
somewhere else, he won't be used as a running back
and won't be as beat up as you see him
every single seat in the Kyle Shanahan type offense. He's
still what twenty eight. I believe he's twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
That's twenty eight right now.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Yeah, I don't think that that is. I don't think
it's the end for Deebo. If I if I'm holding Deebo.
If I have Deebo, I'm holding. That's why I stay
with Depot unless somebody gives me up.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
I think I think you would be a year early
if you traded him away.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
But I want to see what he lands next year.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Yeah, it's tough, man. It's he's always struggled with health too.
It's a tough one. I I would rather be early.
I think you can get a first for Nebo right now,
even with him missing a couple of games.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
I would.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Unless you. I mean, he's only gonna miss a couple
of games. He's always struggled with health. When he plays,
he's he's electric. So if you're a contender, you can
just you know, throw in your iro spot and then
and then running back out there. But yeah, just a
lot of big names getting hit early, and a lot
of them in that weird situation where you have to
decide am I moving off of him or am I not?
You know, Debo would be someone I would go see
if you can go trade Debo and a late pick

(23:02):
to the JSN owner, you know what I mean, or
maybe a receiver people don't believe in, which I hate
to bring this name up, but do you take a
shot on like Quentin Johnston who's emerging. No, but I
mean Jamison Williams. Would you trade debot for Jamison Williams
straight up right now?

Speaker 3 (23:19):
Oh yeah, I'll do that. I would do that if you're.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
The Jamison william If you're the Jamison Williams owner and
you're a win Now team, would you would you take
that risk?

Speaker 3 (23:29):
That's hm you. If I am the Jamison Williams owner,
I'm not taking that risk. But I'll say this, it's
only been two games. We've seen two games of Jamison
Williams perform at this level, and.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
We've seen none of Sam Laporta.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
And we've seen none of Sam Laporta. Things are going
to change. The balance is going to be shifted in
that offense. But also, I mean Deebo, like you said,
when he's on the field, he's electric. So you gotta
decide what's better for you. If you want to play
the long game, go with Jamison. If you want a
short term fix and say I want to win this year.

(24:04):
I can make it through three weeks or whatever Debo
is out for, then you keep DEEPO.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
I think it's a good call going to the running
backs real quick. But check O, he's he's gonna hit.
I are the Chiefs are a high scoring offense. There's
two names I want to bring up. Clyde is still
on the on the pup because of just mental health,
and I think is really great, really awesome that he
came out as hey, I've been struggling with PTSD. But

(24:29):
he will be back and I think he could be
really valuable when he comes back. Three names actually samaj
p Ryan now potentially he is probably still on waivers
in a lot of dynasty leagues. But then also Carson Steele.
What you know, here's a guy I think his name
is like Crocodile Dundee or something like that. That that's
his nickname, owns the crocot runs really really hard. They

(24:51):
have him listed as a fullback. He did fumble this
year he had I think it was against the Bengals,
but he's been mixed in runs really really hard. Is
he worth the risk of the backs I just named?
Who would you kind of plant your flag on it?
I think most dynasty leagues will have one of those
guys on waivers. Who are you the most confident in
being valuable for fantasy? With Pacheco being out?

Speaker 3 (25:14):
You know, Josh, I thought about this. I just talk
to a friend about this because he's wondering how to
use this waiver priority because he's number one in his
waiver order in this fantasy league. I don't want to
touch any of them, but it behooves every manager in
any dynasty or fantasy league to take a chance of

(25:34):
Kansas City starting running back. So yeah, So if gun
in my head, who I'm picking out of those three,
I think, I think I got to go with the
known commodity in some of my JP Ryan's He can
catch passes. I know that, And I think they're going
to lean on Mahomes. When you have Patrick Mahomes and
you have an undrafted rookie running back, who's your best runner? Right?

(25:58):
I think you probably on the pass a lot more
than you would the run. And I think samajp Ryan
is the guy who's gonna benefit more than Carson Steel
because he done a profile as a pass catcher. So
if I had a list, it would be it would
be Samaji, Carson Steele, and then Clyde was a layer
because I don't think when he comes back he's just

(26:21):
gonna just immediately take that job back. I think he'll
just be rotated in and he'll be the same back
we saw when Pacheco was there and McKennis.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
I actually am on the Carson Steel side of this
wholeheartedly because I want to be an early adopter. You
may swing and miss, but the only player that we've
just mentioned with unseen upside is Carson Steele. We gotta
remember Isaiah Cheko was an unknown seventh round pick that
had a lot of camp, you know, buzz in camp.
I don't even think Carson Steel was drafted, but he
has a lot of buzz in camp. It seems like

(26:50):
this is a guy who's earned his right to take
a shot. So we don't know, you know how much
you know what the ceiling is for him, yet I
know what it is for samajp Ryan. I certainly know
what it is for Clyde Everards Hilaire. It's disappointment. It's
you're hoping at best for Jeric McKinnon, kind of crazy
catch a touchdown game. Neither of those two guys could
become a serious threat to Pacheco's long term value. There

(27:13):
neither of those two guys, you know, it just has
upside to be an RB one. And I think there's
a chance Carson Steele does. I'm not saying I've seen
anything on I mean, he runs really hard. I'll give
him that he does, but I haven't seen anything. It's like, oh,
this guy's a superstar. I'm simply saying, give me. It's
one of those like, hey, give me the mystery box,
like the prize I'm being given out of the game show.

(27:33):
It isn't a boat. And maybe there's a boat in
the mystery box. It's like, hey, here's two hundred bucks.
It's like that's nice. But like I would, genuinely, i'd
be okay if I don't if I swing in a
miss on the on the two hundred bucks, if there's
a chance there's a boat in the mystery box, and
that's what I think Carson Steel could be.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Yeah, but I yeah, and I understand that. See That's
what I'm saying. Like it to me, it's a toss
up between all three. But I will say this, how
much is so Pacheco. It took time for Pachecko his
rookie season to become more involved. As the season progressed,
he started to get more involved. I just don't know

(28:10):
how much Carson they're gonna put on Carson Steel's plate.
But I will say this, the reason I would pick
Samaja is because of his Bengal days when mixing went out.
You have to remember he had like four or five
games where he was like a top fifteen back for
like four games, and I remember he scored a three
touchdown game. So I just think that with his play style,

(28:32):
being able to be a third down back and being
able to run through the tackles and like being a
body enough to be on the goal line and having
veteran presence, I want to take a chance on that
as opposed to, like you said, the unknown commodity who
runs hard and who had a lot of buzz, but
the first time we saw him in a feature role

(28:54):
he fumbles. Not to say that that's the end all
be all, but I know that Sami JP Ryan is
a solid fill in running back and we've seen it
before and since today that's true.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I mean, and and Jerick McKennon was that way and
then had RB one season overall, you know, kind of
the tail end of the year, he had crazy pass
catching smash a p Ryan could potentially do that either way.
You want to see the chief aution offense take.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
You want to take a Yeah, you want to take
a chance on one of them.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
And there's listen, there's dozens of guys we could talk about.
We wanted to highlight that one. Kim Akers, by the way,
go pick him up if he's on Dynasty waivers. I
think Joe Mixon is gonna miss time. That was one
of my spicy takes. There's no way that Spencer Rattler
that that was another spicy take I had. I don't
think Derek Carr is coming off the field for the
Saints the way they're playing. So we're going to take
a break. On the other side, I'm gonna be chatting
with Keith Jackson as a member of our league, who

(29:41):
did lose Isaiah Jacko, who did lose Cooper Cup and
recently just traded away Breize Hall, and I want to
know why what went into that trade That is coming
up right after this Welcome back into the Dynasty Exchange.
The genesis of this podcast was to be a show
about a league and from from the jump, Mike and
I have always believed that in the fantasy football community

(30:04):
in space, there's a lot of great analysts. There's some
brilliant minds out there, and there's some people who are
more obsessed than numbers than even myself. What makes any
league really special, though, in any league that you play
in is the people that you play with. And so
it is my honor to introduce one of Mike's lifelong friends,
had a very long and illustrious career in sports media,

(30:24):
is now doing other things, but he's quickly becoming one
of my favorite people. A member of both Dynasty Cartel
are my stand in League of Record and also the
real League of Record Dynasty Exchange. Keith Jackson. Keith, thank
you so much for stopping in, and this will be
this is the first time we're having you, but this
will not be the last time that we are having you.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
I appreciate it. Thanks for having me man.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah, Keith, real quickly, just so people understand the street cred.
You absolutely dunked on me on a call the other day.
We were doing a trade conversation. We were talking about
League Dynamics to go. You know, I've played in some
tough leagues. You know, I've played with Matthew Berry, I've
played with these and you just named drop some of them.
You know, as someone who started this hobby thinking these
guys were like light years ahead of everyone when I

(31:06):
first started playing fantasy in twenty fourteen, what is it like?
I mean, are all fantasy? Do you miss playing in
those leagues? Do you play in league still with all
industry people? And what was your experience in sports media?
Just so the average listener knows that you have more
credibility than I do.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
So, yeah, I still play with some of those guys.
I still play with Eric Carrabell, Tristan Cocroft, those guys.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
You know.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
It's I'll say this every time I play with them.
The money that I donate to those leagues is made
up in other leagues because of what I learned from them. Carabelle.
Legitimately every league that I'm int with Carabelle, I'm always
sitting there going, why do the pick that guy? And
by week five, Week six, and this is football, baseball, basketball, whatever,

(31:51):
I'm sitting there going, I'm glad I picked him up.
So you knows it.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
You're a fantasy You're a fantasy not all around. Then
it sounds like it sounds like you're playing fantasy basketball,
fantasy baseball. I my marriage couldn't survive fantasy baseball. Like
I'm not a baseball fan hardly at all, because I'm
already being a numbers type of guy. I know I
could get really like saber metrics. That's that's a door,
that's a that's a gateway drug I don't need in
my life. We'll stick to the football part of the

(32:19):
reason I had you on, and we're gonna be doing this,
hopefully more as the season progresses. Dylan is going to
be out for an extended period of time. Share that
a little bit more later. But I want to understand
the thought process behind you trading Bryce hall Away in
Dynasty Cartel. This is a league that I'm competing. We
actually play each other this week, and of course you

(32:41):
waited till after Breece posted twenty on me. Thankfully, I'm
gonna give that dub in an absolute stinker of a match.
But for fantasy owners, you just mentioned it. You play
with Eric Carrollbell, You've played, you know, like with lots
of different people. You're always you're you're ahead of the
game on who to pick up and who to drop.
It looks like you're folding down your dynasty car Tell team,
this is a team with Josh Allen. This is a

(33:02):
team with Breese Hall, Isaiah Pacheco as well. If I'm
not mistaken, Yepper Cup.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
It's it's kind of the walking wounded right now, which
is part of the reason why I had to do it.
You know, last year, first year of the league, win now,
and my window I felt was two maybe three years.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
If I goot lucky.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
I obviously went even further. All In made the trade
for Cup in the offseason as well as for Travis Kelcey,
and felt like I had a team that was ready
and even going after Week one, I think I was
number two in your power rankings. Oh yeah, and then
it just the mountain fell on me. You know, moster
goes down, Keenan Allen goes down. Cup is in a

(33:45):
walking boot Checkers having like a fractured fibula. And I
was sitting there and I love Brisol. I've got a
good piece of him in. You know, the majority of
the dynasty leagues that I'm in, in a couple of
the redraft leagues that I'm in.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, absolutely, you have him in both leagues. I'm in
with you. So sometimes it makes sense when you play
multiple leagues with people's like, okay, you, I know you
love this guy. You've got multiple shit like I could
maybe trade a George Pickens away in certain leagus because
it's like I have him literally everywhere. So exactly, it
made a little bit of sense. But you got in
a league where most of the firsts are completely monopolized
between Mike and Charles. You got two first and two seconds,

(34:23):
both your own, if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
So actually the twenty sixth first and the twenty six
second are mine and the twenty seven first is bands
and the twenty seven second.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Two that would be Dylan's pick. So it's going to
be terrible. So you you got a discount on that.
How did you so? You mentioned Cooper Cup you're looking
to rebuild, right, Yeah, and you were only a year
in and you're willing to pull the trigger as early
as week two? Is this your first experience in Dynasty
like these leagues? Like, have I been playing with you

(34:54):
your entire Dynasty career? Did you have any prior to
our time together?

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (34:58):
No, I can tell you some stories of sitting in
and work at ESPN for years, as you know, kind
of alluded to earlier and sitting in in the basement
and building b with Matt Barry and Carabelle and having
going not just dynasty but auction dynasty, which is even
more insane.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
How how would that? How long was this startup draft
for an auction dynasty league?

Speaker 4 (35:19):
Oh? So we would start right after work, so about
four pm Eastern and be done by one am.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Is that the whole draft or one round?

Speaker 3 (35:28):
That was?

Speaker 4 (35:28):
That was the whole draft?

Speaker 5 (35:29):
The whole Okay, that's all right, that's not too bad.
I thought that was a terrible days. Yeah, it wasn't terrible.
And this is obviously before we got better in terms
of having a separate draft for rookies. You were able
to get everybody in one draft.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
So okay, okay, no, yeah, definitely a different time. But
that speaks to the idea you knew what to look for.
You didn't hesitate in pulling the trigger on the rebuild
because this isn't your first time around, and I see
that with a lot of owners. The first time you rebuild,
you'll like it takes owners like the fine literally the
final ail in the coffin to admit defeed, like, well,
I could trade for this guy and then if this

(36:03):
guy gets injured, maybe I get lucky. Like I have
a feeling like I went after cam Akers early in
the off season. I would not be surprised off on Twitter,
we see people if Joe Mixon is out for an
extended period of time trading crazy assets. Yeah for you know,
a cam Akers, a Jordan Mason. I was just able
to require Pooka and Akua for Alvin Kamara and Jordan

(36:23):
Mason in a league and a first by the way, Yeah, no,
oh nice, it's an early Well I had to throw
in Isaiah likely as well, but yeah, I will say
that was right before Alvin Kamara went off for four touchdowns.
So there was this balance of like, man, if you
know risk reward on the rebuild. So now that you've
decided to rebuild in Dynasty Cartel, is Josh Allen for sale?

(36:46):
And what do I need to do to come get him?
You know, I'm low on picks, but he looks like
he's still in his prime. James Cook's not going to
score through rushing touchdowns. I'm still a believer, you said,
before we were recording, you didn't even like watching him
play because it was just so risky.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Oh it's it's painful because for every great throw, for
every forty yard run that you're just like, oh, yeah,
go get it, there's a fumble, there's a throw into
into triple coverage.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
You know.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
I lived in Buffalo for for like five years, so
I still go to a game every year. Went to
the Jets game last year Opening Day, and it was
awful to sit there and watch him just you know,
throw three interceptions or you're just like, what are you doing?
This is not the move. So yeah, that said, I

(37:34):
do enjoy at the end of the one o'clock games
looking and seeing that they've got a thirty point game
from him.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Oh okay, no, especially in super flex leagues, it feels
like he seems refreshed. Honestly, with Tefon Diggs being going
that team, the Buffalo as a whole, I don't want
to say it's just a fun Diggs. They got rid
of a lot of veterans and it feels like they're
a completely new team with a new mentality. But what
is the price for a Josh Allen? I mean, you're
you're is there can can Jordan Love plus something else
be attractive to someone who rebuilding?

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Or is that?

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Is it basically picks or nothing for you?

Speaker 4 (38:04):
So right now and in any other league it would
be picks or nothing. But because of the setup that
we have where you know, Charles and Mike have all
the picks for the next two years, I'm gonna have
to get a little bit more creative. I am gonna
have to look at Okay, can I get somebody youngish?
You know, Jordan Love actually probably fit a timeline right

(38:24):
and then see, you know what else we can put
with it to make happen. And so that's just that's
just the way it is. Like I've got one other
league where I'm looking to potentially start selling, and it's
completely different because they you know, the picks are spread
out and I know I'll be able to get a
good pix haul and in this league, you know, for Breese,
for instance, I was very happy to get what I got.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Oh I was.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
I was impressed, I really was. I mean, two firsts
for any running backs impressive. But you could have kept
him too. I think there's a couple of pieces that
you can hang on to you no matter what And
I'm of the opinion right now I would love to
get your thoughts just in general on football this year.
We're only two weeks in, but I feel like we're
having We're in the middle of a running back renaissance
and there's a couple of those young guys Jumior Gibbs,

(39:08):
b Jean Robinson and Breese. Obviously that because of the
too high safety that we're seeing everywhere, passing is massively down.
The counter to that is great running backs. Briese Hall
is only twenty three. What if he goes on to
have a seven year career. Who cares? If you know,
like he's gonna miss time with injury, Well, so is
AJ Brown, so is T Higgins, who I know you
have in our other league. I was just scrolling to

(39:29):
look at your team, like, man, you got no receivers
in the change and brother, you are you not ready
to sell that team? Are we blowing that one up
as well?

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (39:38):
No, No, I mean I like the depth I have
in terms of receiver in that one, so that one
I'm ready, And I was able to sneak in and
get that second one this week. So I'm feeling a
little bit more comfortable with that one. Yeah, but you know,
I think it is a great point. I think that
the counterbalance to people in offenses being so pass heavy
and defense is having to go ahead and counteract. That

(40:01):
is a great running back, particularly a three down running back,
like the guys who just named they're a great asset.
Like I know, Breese is going to probably get sex
sixty balls this year in additions potentially running for twelve
four yards and and that that's massive, Like I like,
so I'll take you right now. Most other running backs,
I'd be sitting here going ooh, I don't like the
fact that, you know, another running back just got two touchdowns.

(40:24):
I Am not concerned about that with Breese all at all.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
No, No, I mean they were spelling him, and I
mean Aaron Rodgers even said he said, hey, Breese came
to the huddle, throw me a go ball. If you
have a quarterback that understands, hey, this wide receiver can
be used all over the place and in any package.
That's because it's all about matchups, right, Like, if you're
in put a linebacker on Breese Hall, he turns into

(40:46):
a much better wide receiver than even Garrett Wilson against
their number one quarter potentially, So the versatility's absolutely there. Obviously,
he had a disappointing rookie season with injury the Jets
as a hole as an offense. I want to see
developed more because as you know in exchange in Cartel,
who I just played you, Garret Wilson did nothing against you,
Garrett Wilson. Is I need Garret Wilson to take a
step forward? Do you project happier days ahead for me?

(41:09):
With Garrett Wilson especially, I feel like he's got to
finish as a top twelve wide receiver, even just based
on like arbitrage, like he everyone else is injured, like
he has to do it right.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
So I.

Speaker 4 (41:23):
Wouldn't sell. But I'm worried about it.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Right.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
I think that they know the thing with the Rogers
is is that he isn't married to any of these guys,
if anyone. I think he's more loyal to Breast than anybody.
Right now, He's gonna want to move the ball around.
You know, we saw in week one Lazard, you know,
got caught a couple of passes out of nowhere. You know,
Mike Williams might be able to step in some weeks.

(41:46):
It's gonna be just real and consistent with Garrett, Like,
I don't think he's going to be that that Bellweather
guy who's sitting there going, Okay, I know I'm going
to get ten to twelve targets every week, eight catches,
and you know, he's definitely not the guy who you
can say in the red zone and more importantly in
that ten yard zone to be able to say he's
going to get a target, and that frightens me.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
They seem so run heavy right now. I really do
think the offense can click and he can still take
a step forward, but it just hasn't happened yet, and
I'm being impatient before I let you go. Just speaking
to fantasy leagues where you know, I'm in two with you. Obviously,
Cartel was a fun one we created. It's become very
very near and dear to me. I mean, I love
our Cartel group, and a huge portion of those guys

(42:30):
are obviously in the Exchange, and really the Exchange is
still it's a newborn baby. We just still don't know
what the Dynasty Exchange is going to be as a
league because people have yet to kind of take over
in personalities. I know a lot of people and I
know that they haven't shown their whole personality because everyone's
still getting to know each other right away. But if
you had to pick which team you like more right
now between Cartel and Exchange, tell us a little bit

(42:54):
about each team and why which which lead do you
prefer you more dialed in on right now?

Speaker 4 (42:59):
Sure? So right now it is it's Exchanged. Obviously in Cartel,
I just traded Breeze. It's it's about to become a
fire sale Exchange.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
I it's not.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
It is a newborn baby. And I like the personalities
in it. I like the way we're interacting. I think
that there's a possibility that it becomes my one A
league and Cartel becomes.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
My one B.

Speaker 4 (43:22):
And in terms of my team, yeah, I just I
really like the team that I put together there, and
I still have some assets to be able to make
some moves if I need to. As opposed to you know, Cartel,
I couldn't do anything.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
The difference too, in a sixteen team league is there's
like three or four of us already that are free
wins for other people because we're already embracing the rebuilding tanking.
Where's Cartel? You only really had one and now it's not.
Everyone's still kind of a win now ish team, if
not a win young team. So yeah, these landscapes change.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
Because even Mike this week, right, I mean, obviously he
just traded and he's got those two studs, you know why,
Ravers and Hares, and all of a sudden it's he
can make up another move. He's got the assets to
do it, and he could be a scary team. I mean,
it's not lost on me that I didn't win last
year because Amari Cooper went off like Randy Moss and No.

(44:14):
Seven because the team got hot.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
So you know, we're only two weeks in, but we
have to remember that how the season ends is not
how it starts, and the guys that are heroes for
these first four weeks will disappear, you know. Like everyone
was hot and bothered by Xavier Worthy and should be.
I think the rest of the season he should see
more targets. But I would not be surprised at all
if it wasn't like, hey, remember when Xavier Worthy he
had like that Week one and we all thought he

(44:38):
was going to take over the NFL and just exactly
it's just Jamison Williams. Which do you have Jamison.

Speaker 4 (44:43):
Warnings to trying to remember I have him in exchange.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
Okay, how do you feel about him? In exchange? Do
you feel like you can trust him this season, because
it looks like he might have taken the step forward
he needed to.

Speaker 4 (44:53):
I think that this is going to be the year.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
I really do.

Speaker 4 (44:55):
I think that he's going to be a guy who's
going to be a top twelve. Obviously with Mom and
Ross Saint Brown on the other side, that's that's big
for him because he's not going to see a lot
of double coverage. Golf seems to like him. He fits
really well into that in that offense, and I mean
explosive speed and great hands. Like I loved him coming
out of college. He had some issues. He's figured it out,

(45:16):
it looks like, and I love watching how they utilize him.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
It seems like his success has come at the expense
of Samuela Porta though, which I know, yea the tight
end premium league. In exchange, the Laporta owner is not
happy because you thought you were getting a young stud
with a great baseline. Tight Ends have been down, passing
has really been down, and now it looks like your
cartel team. I don't know if I'm honored or concerned
because with you bowling out like you and I face

(45:42):
each other this week and then you're like you're throwing
in the towel. He too, It's like, yes, another one,
another contender is gone. But like now I'm like, okay,
where are all these players gonna end up? Because I
don't have the I don't have the pix to buy
most of them.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
So it's it's gonna be interesting the next couple of weeks,
like seeing where people go. Obviously, you know Cup isn't
gonna go anywhere anywhere for right now, Pacheco probably isn't,
so I mean it Allen's the big name obviously, and Wilson,
what about Lse.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
I have Jake Ferguson and David and Joku, both of
whom decided to get injured at the worst possible time.
I would be more than happy to take Kelsey off
your hands and squeeze whatever life is left in him.
If Taylor Swift hasn't already been a complete suckubiss and
sucked all the value completely out.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
Oh, I think we can have a good discussion. I
actually am a big Jake Ferguson fan. And I lov
ing a joke. It's funny that I actually have those
two in another league. That's a tight end print, okay,
and they're killing me, so I understand your pain.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
It's a little rough. It's a little rough. Well maybe
maybe post while I'm editing, I'll shoot you an offer over.
But Keith, thanks so much for stopping in. And yeah,
thanks for giving us a little bit of a background
on your team. Absolute last question, what makes you love
fantasy football? What makes you left playing it?

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (46:51):
Man, I'll tell you it's it's the camaraderie. You know.
I not to go outside of football too much. But
going back to baseball, my buddy mal who you know,
we've been in leagues together for twenty years. Sunday night
we were both sweating. We're in semifinals, first time we're
ever going to meet each other in the championship game.
And championship match in baseball two weeks left. And that's

(47:13):
what it's about. It's just like the bragging rights.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
The fun is this is this Malick Marshall. Yes, okay, yeah, okay, back,
I've got to tell this story before I let you go.
I've tried to get you, have tried you have nominated
him for both leagues we started for Cartel. He was
originally like Mike's like, okay, here's the twelve people were inviting.
I brought a couple names, He brought a couple names,
and Malick was totally in and ant. The last second

(47:37):
Malik got up down. I was like, well that sucks.
Then we do exchange. Malik is one of the first Malick.
I am so sorry. We will get you in a
league at some point because my man has gotten absolutely
screwed out of his spot twice because he was supposed
to be in Dynasty exchange. Yeah, and then he got
bumped down. He got bumped down. We didn't open like
an open audition to see like, okay, who's the league

(47:59):
one and Ricky Bobby who we all love. Yeah, in fairness,
we have got to post that the audition video a video.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
It blew out my buddy Ronnie, it blew Malk, but
shout out Malick. I am so you remember to me,
like you need to bring him in as a co
owner in exchange is what you need to do.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
I don't know if I want to give up a
co owner shot spot, but we'll.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
Get Okay, we'll get okay, fair enough.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
It's funny too because we actually got him in another
Dynasty league, so he's not getting his feet wet.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
Okay, so he's got some exposure. I feel less value.
I just feel bad because I've heard his names so
many times. I thought I'd be playing fantasy with this
guy because you rave about him like that.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
So, oh, he's awesome. You're gonna love having it when
we get him in the league and one of our two.
You gotta love him fast.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
It's fantastic. Well, Keith, thanks for thanks for stopping by,
and I look forward to building more comradie with you
and every member of the Dynasty Exchange. We grow this league,
grow this show, and just have a ton of fun
doing it. But yeah, Josh Allen, Travis Kelcey, let's talk.

Speaker 4 (48:55):
Yeah, definitely hit me up.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
Tom. It's good to have you back. Yeah, listen, I did.
I did the interview with Keith on my own for
two reasons. One, I couldn't have the Saints thing that
you'd already rubbed in my face coming up with the
two of you. Because I believe Keith is also a
New Orleans fan, and you guys have a lot of camaraderie.
I was going to avoid it too, you know, Dylan,
my ally is not here. I can only take so

(49:19):
much pain. We talked a lot about pain. We talked
a lot about injuries. We've been a little bit all over. Listen,
We've we missed week one and getting a chance to
talk about all these things. We are reacting to this
as players and the amount of injuries and the amount
of craziness the same as everyone else. But the important
thing is Thomas in Dynasty Cartel where we're both competing
because I'm I'm tanking for the future in exchange your team,
By the way, in exchange, we didn't talk about it.

(49:41):
You are in first place, my friend. You are absolutely
to the moon right now is we'll talk about your
team all the time. You and I are both two
and zero. We have a matchup coming soon of all
the teams you play in, but let's try to keep
it to the you know, Dynasty Cartel. What player are
you the most excited about out or what's the thought
you want to share just from the two weeks a

(50:02):
question you haven't answered. Who's a player you want to
highlight just as a fellow fantasy player to the listeners like,
I need more out of this guy. Be patient with
this guy. Trade this guy. Just first thing that comes
to mind as you think about your team.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
I want to so I say the struggle has been
at my quarterback positions. I have Brockburdy and Gino Smith.
I would say be patient with Gino Smith.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
I think this past week, man, he looked so good.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
I don't I don't think he scored a lot of
fantasy points, if I'm not mistaken. I think it was
like around fifteen or something.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
It was in a four point touchdown. Yes, well, yeah,
like it depends on yardage. Some leagues have yardage bonuses,
but he had. He had I think three hundred yards passing.
I mean he JSN and DK Metcalf also had a day,
just wasn't on touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (50:52):
Yeah, And I just think I think that offense, once
they get Kenneth Walker back, is gonna be very formidable
for fantasy purposes. I know Gino starts off slow every season.
He started off a little bit slow, but that grubs offense.
There's a lot of motion. We were talking about the

(51:13):
Saints early. We're talking about Clinton Kubiak style. There's a
lot of motion. Their top five offense in motion run.
That's what the Bucks, the Dolphins, the Saints, all of
these teams that have explosive offenses right now are doing that.
And the way Gino looked last week made me believe
that further down the line, once you get into this season,

(51:36):
Gino is going to be probably I'm gonna I'm gonna
call this right, I'm gonna call the shot. Gina's gonna
be a top twelve quarterback before the end of the season.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
I mean that almost isn't spicy in my opinion, with
all the with all the injuries that we have, we
forget I think he was quarterback like five or six
two years ago. He had an awesome year brought with
Canalis and Ryan Grubbs is an awesome offensive coordinator. Thank you,
Ryan Grubbs. I know you're listening. JSN resurrected for fantasy
value because people are really starting to quite People forgot

(52:06):
who this guy was in college and what he was
capable of. I am all about Jasn. I was trying
to require him in every league. I could I have
him in Dynasty exchange because him and George pick is
the only two players worth rostering up my team. The
rest is draft picks, and I couldn't be more happy
with what I saw from JSN. Super excited player. I
want a highlight. Man, it's a big name. We don't
talk enough about the big names on the show sometimes

(52:27):
because we're always talking about like that advantage, that special player.
But Jamar Chase. Be patient. I get it if you
were concerned about Jamar Chase. This may sound crazy, but
I know I was considering after week one and week two, Man,
do I need to get out of Jamar Chase. His
attitude looks horrible, his interviews look bad, and he has
done jack squat on the fantasy field. He has a

(52:49):
trio of games coming up. The Bengals, historically are always
slow starters. I think Jamar Chase is gonna get it
together and be the Fantasy superstar that he always is
by the end of the year. We just got to
give it a little bit of time. He's got some
easier matchups coming up with the Commanders, with the Giants.
I mean, it's gonna be better in the coming weeks.
So I'm very excited for Jamar Chase. Another player I

(53:11):
want to preach patients on George Pickens. He's my guy.
I gotta always talk about it. He has had. I
am so frustrated. He has looked unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Thomas.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
I don't know if you've watched the games and he
has had. I kid you, not like twenty to twenty
five points taken away by penalty or some weird technicality
through no fault of his own. Like I was watching
the game against Denver, he does this incredible out route
that he like toe taps on the sideline and then
leaps into the end zone that they call back for
an offensive pass interference that literally Jean Sterator like they

(53:41):
pull him in from the studio. He goes, yeah, that's
not a penalty. He SHO, shouldn't have made that call.
Another holding girl wipes away a fifty yard pass play
he was cooking. Patrick Sartan be patient with George Pickens.
He's my guy. I just I have to wave the
flag for my dude because he's looked great. Just the
fantasy box score has been there, no.

Speaker 3 (54:01):
Man so good points on both of those. But man,
look I saw that George. I saw George Pickens and
I watched him in that game, and certain is a
great cornerback. He's not good, He's one of the best,
and he was cooking him like grits. Man, I'm telling
you that that that and that pass that justin feels
through on the run.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Right, we haven't even talked about that.

Speaker 3 (54:22):
That's what I want to see from I need to
see that more from him. I need to see him
taking those risks, like those risks. But also I just
want to just touch on the Bengals. I completely agree.
Jamar Chase is one of my guys. Man, lsu near
and dear to my heart. There was a stat that
came up during the Kansas City game. I don't know
if you saw this, since I believe it was twenty nineteen.

(54:48):
Their record and this was before this Kansas City loss
was one and ten the first two games of the season,
so now it was one in eleven. Yeah, like that
is that is the big This is the These are
the Bengals. So regardless of what the stats say or
how everybody's looking, they are notoriously slow starters. Jamar Chase

(55:10):
will pick up steam. Te Higgins will be back, That
offense will look completely different in a week or two.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
No, it's it's a great point. It's a great reminder
because also for your fantasy team zero to two feels
like the end of the world. But really it's just
two games, and there are plenty. It is so easy
to turn it around. I mean, imagine if Marvin Harrison,
I mean he has such a disappointing week one, one catch,
four yards. Everyone. I had people who are very casual,

(55:36):
like the first time they're playing fantasy, reach out to me.
They ask for help drafting their team. I reached out
to the guy who I told the draft Marvel was like, hey,
I told you to be patient.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
He goes oh.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
I benched him. I said, what are you doing? He
goes wow.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
I was so upset.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
He's a new he had no idea, he's just new.
He doesn't play fantasy. But if you overreact two weeks
feels like there's a correlation, it isn't. It's still so
early in the season. If you're a franchise is off
to a rough start, look at the age, look at
the injuries you have. Maybe it is time for rebuild,
just like I talked about with Keith. But other times
you really just need to dig deep and you need

(56:09):
to trust your studs to get back to the level
of performance you know they can. Thomas it's great to
have you back. It's good for us to be back.

Speaker 4 (56:16):
I know.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
We two first active game, Active show of the year.
We will be with you guys the rest of the
way out until next time. This has been the dynasty change.
We will see you next Monday. That can be even
more amazing football, hopefully with Les. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:32):
Yeah,
