Speaker 1 (00:08):
Oh yeah. Since the dawn of civilization, the term economics,
the way in which humans interact with each other for
goods and services, has been a point of debate. In fact,
speaking of debates, this evening Tuesday, October first, there was
a debate for potentially that would affect the future of
(00:32):
our country and a lot of its centers around how
do you see economies? How do you specifically see economies
of trade? We're here at the Dynasty Exchange. Obviously, if
we were put in charge of the country, everyone would
vote for us because we'd solve all the problems. Because tonight,
Thomas and I will be jumping into nothing but trades.
What matters more? Is it a let me actually do
(00:53):
this for you, Thomas? Do you believe in trades there
was always a winner and a loser? Is there always
kind of a I don't want to say. True capitalists
would argue that that's not the case, that both sides
can win for people with a more cynical view of capitalism,
maybe more socialistic views that there's always a winner and
loser in trades. Do you feel that there's always a
winner and loser in trades, especially in fantasy football? Long term?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yes, there's always going to be a winning loser. Short term,
I think you can both sides can win a good
trade if they're getting something that enhances what they have
already or changes the look at their roster. I just
did a trade where I bought low on Patrick Mahomes.
Now a lot of people wouldn't do that right now,
(01:43):
but I saw opportunity to get a stud quarterback and
somebody who could possibly at some point look like the
guy we know or we used to know. And I
gave away a lot of depth. But the other team,
which was Michael Smith, now he has a little bit
more depth now and he can maybe contend a little
(02:04):
bit better. So I think we both win in this scenario.
But long term, like if Mahomes does not ever turn
into Patrick Mahomes, I'm losing.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
That, dear.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
So the reason I brought up Dona's civilization, like trading
is the most basic of the human economies. I will
give you this for that. And to jump into our
news segment, Davante Adams has gone to the raiders, and
I will give you nothing so long as you keep
me here. So get me the heck out of here,
(02:34):
and maybe you can you could get a pick in
return because man, oh man, we were talking through pre show,
there's so many storylines in the NFL for fantasy right
now that we could talk about. It is hard to
narrow it down. We can talk about the plethora of injuries,
both minor and major. We could talk about, you know,
the speculation around quarterbacks and how their value has changed.
(02:54):
We were talking about Derek Carr first two weeks, and
the Saints look like, oh my gosh, we were completely
wrong about this team and the value swing that they
were on Alvin Kamara, by the way, still is through
four weeks. The RB one it seems like Chris Olave
is gonna go to the moon, Rashichi heads something. Now
the Saints look exactly like who we thought they were
gonna be when people didn't even want Derek Carr's autographs.
(03:16):
So that's changed. But like do you remember that, like
that was weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, so much changed. But
trying to pick the most relevant stories that affect the
most value. DeVante Adams for dynasties an interesting conversation. He's
definitely worth points in your starting roster. He makes a
lot of sense on a roster that's contending or at
(03:38):
least he did so long as he was starting for
the Las Vegas Raiders. He is officially requested to trade Thomas.
What are your thoughts on him, just in general, but
most importantly obviously for fantasy. Do you feel that he's
a risk worth taking? Do you trade for DeVante Adams
as he asks to be traded, and where do you
think he goes?
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Well, that's a tough one. As far as we know now,
they don't have a lot of people who are clamoring
for his services. We talked earlier in the podcast, like
Dallas makes sense. The Saints makes sense. Obviously everybody is
going to say the Jets because of the ties to
Aaron Rodgers, right, I don't know if that makes sense
for Garrett Wilson, you know, I don't know if that
(04:21):
makes sense. Like Mike Williams is just starting to come on, Like,
I don't know if that team needs another mouth to
feed and needs to figure out the wide receiver pecking order.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, in the fifth week of the.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Season, but Havin said that I think maybe Dallas is
the way to go. As we talk, I'm just thinking
about it. I'm like Brandon Cooks is just getting on
the wrong side of thirty. Jaalen Tobert decent little player,
but he's not changing the game and Dallas needs more offense.
Their running game sucks. They have bad you know, like
(04:55):
besides Ceedee Lamb and Jake Ferguson to some degree respect
to him, but that has really no other.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
You could roll all the targets you assigned to Jalen
told where all the targets you just signed to Randon Cooks,
throw them to Devonte Adams and it would be good
for the Cowboys because also it would open the running
game up more, which is gonna be weak. I would
love to zeem in Dallas. I am curious, Like it
feels like the the Like every now and then something
is so obvious it seems like it has to happen.
(05:23):
Davante to the Jets. I want to remember, like on
the Receiver show, him and Aaron Rodgers got dinner and
they chatted and it's like, oh, so good to see
you and missed you. There's that, there's Garrett Wilson changing
his number to five from seventeen before the season kind
of felt like it was preparing to happen. I just
I just feel like the Jets though, because they're two
(05:45):
and two. They're already so pot committed to the Aaron
Rodgers like experiment, so to speak. They're so all in
on that working out, And they lost last week to Denver.
Had the Jets won, I would say it's for sure
the Jets. Had had the Jets beaten Denver last week,
I would tell you I feel like it's gonna be
the Jets. The reason I hesitant is like, this is
a team that's still middle of the road and the
(06:05):
defense isn't playing great. They gotta sign Hasan Redick. Can
they really afford another expensive free agent? Like how much
of their future can they screw over to try to Like,
this team doesn't look like it's going to the mood.
It seems like it's still maybe trying to figure it out.
So that's where I'm hesitant that it could be the Jets.
I feel like we're all gonna get disappointed and it's
gonna be somewhere weird, Like, oh, I don't know, Like,
(06:28):
can't be Tennessee, Like it would be so bad if
it was Tennessee, But I mean Carolina, Yeah, New Orleans,
like NFC South, AFC South. I could easily see something weird.
Happening there. I I just yeah, that's in division though,
and people have also got people have also speculated the Chiefs.
(06:52):
But like, well, and you know what, I gotta admit,
So the the I believe the Raiders GM is the
same GM that got fired by the Chargers. Who was
who signed who had the Chargers like millions and mill
like an insane amount over the cap. So I could
see him being foolish enough to deal him to an
(07:13):
Indivision rival.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
But I I I think if you, well, we've seen it.
We've seen it in the draft, right, we saw teams
trading within the division and through and against rivals and
stuff like Kansas City got Buffalo's pick and all of
this stuff, not just and Minnesota has traded with a
couple of division rights. I think it's more. I think
(07:39):
it's more possible applausible than uh we believe. But I
think it's just gonna come down to, like who's willing
to pay that draft capital? Because if he does, even
if he does go to Denver, is Denver good enough
to beat a team like the Raiders? Like maybe maybe not,
But I mean if you're the Raiders and you're saying
we got because if you getting rid of Devanta Adams.
(08:01):
You're not winning a lot of games this season. It's
just not gonna happen. So he's gonna give you a
second round pick, you might as well just take it
and say, Okay.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
I don't think they're winning a lot of games this season, regardless. Regardless. Yeah,
And what I would say too, is like, let's move
on to the Chiefs because they make the most sense
for the Chiefs. I don't know about financially, but certainly
from a needs perspective because Rash So before we move
on completely to Rashi Rice, I want to talk about him,
the injury, the value swing, there's so many questions specifically
(08:31):
for Dynasty. Davante Adams is what he is for Dynasty.
You're disappointed if he was on your roster to make
a title push. You're not gonna be able to offload
him for cheap Well, yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Can I say something. I'm just I just want to
sit put a ball on this part of it. Wherever
he goes, he's gonna play immediately. Yes, he's too good
to sit or like wait and like learn the playbook.
He'll play immediately and he'll figure it out. So if
you're holding him. If you have him, just know that, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
There's no you're not going to sell him for something
attractive enough to move off from him. And then also,
like if you were going to buy Devanta Adams on
the chief right now, that would be less than a second,
you know what I mean? And so that is not
worth anything to your team. If DeVonta Adams never takes
a snap again, it was worth the risk to hang
on that he found another team for any you know,
(09:24):
less than a second, if we're talking a third or fourth,
it's just not worth it. So I agree with you completely.
If he were to go to the Chiefs, it would
be interesting to see how high his value would go
on a win it All this season. Then you could
maybe sell him to if you were not a contending team,
to a contender. Because Anta Adams on the Chiefs I
would be all in on, especially after the loss of
Rashi Rice Patrick Mahomes. I personally think he just has
(09:48):
a lot of family and friends in Texas that were
offended by some of Rashi's behavior. Maybe he was more
personally affected than we realized. Because my man just took
out his his best receiver's knees. It was terrible. Dude.
I watched I wasn't even watching that game, and I
have she Rice in some redraft leagues and I was like, ah,
she rises out and I looked at the point, I'm like, Patrick,
what the hell? Man? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yeah, man, I don't even know what kind of tackle
that was, but you know that's a quarterback man not
knowing what to do.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
We still haven't heard it's Tuesday night. As of tonight,
we don't have confirmation that's a torn ACL, but I
think everyone is kind of like, yeah, we know it's
a torn ACL. Let's just talk through what his value
swing is going to be, because it seemed like through
the first three weeks, Oh, she rises on his way
to becoming a top ten dynasty wide receiver. You know,
(10:39):
future suspension be damned, which it certainly feels like there
will be some type of suspension based on what we
know about his off season behavior. Hopefully he gets that
worked out. He's just young, figuring it out whatever. Not
going to comment too much on that, but let's real
we talk through it now. Because if it's an ACL tear,
he's a receiver, so it's not career ending, but you're
probably looking at a year before he on the field again,
(11:00):
which this happened early on in the season, but kind
of midway right, we're week four, you know, we're talking
week six or seven before he's back next year. Oh,
by the way, you slap four more games of a
suspension on top of that. Is Rashi Rice gonna be
valued as a top ten dynasty wide receiver over the
course of the offseason, I certainly don't think so. Like
(11:24):
I think he's gonna fall outside of the top twenty
four potentially. Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Don't see a way where he can unless unless there's
some news because we haven't heard officially, we have to
like let's just be.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Clear, Yeah, heard goes away.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, And if that's the case, then it's a whole
different conversation. But man, like you said, if it's officially torn,
I don't see. I wouldn't put him in the top
twenty four. He'd have to be, you know, at maximum
in the top thirty six because now you're waiting now,
I mean, if you're in a position where you can
weight on him by all means, by low, but if
(12:03):
you but most people who are trying to compete, which
is most teams and dynasty you know, a year is
a long long time, and you do not want to
sell somebody like that so dirt cheap that you lose
all the value that you had gained with him. But
I mean, honestly, it's one of is to each his
(12:24):
own or her own. It's like, what do you do
with him? If you are rebuilding, just hold that's all
I say. But if you are competing, if you could
find a good deal, if you could find I mean
I wouldn't trade him for a pick right now, but
if you can find a good deal for another player, Like.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
I had a.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Conversation with Mike and he said, somebody offered him T
Higgins for Rashi Rice. You take that one hundred times
out of one hundred just to get him off of
your roster because it's going to be a long wait
before you see him again.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Yeah. I think a great case study for Rashi Rice's
actually Jordan Adison. Jordan Aisen had a fantastic rookie season.
Jordan Adison showed nothing but that he was capable on
the field with sub you know, no I want to
say subpar quarterback play, but certainly sub park quarterbacks. I mean,
these were backups with backups like you give them a
Sam Donald looks unbelievable on Minnesota. As of as of
(13:17):
a week September eighteenth, Jordan Addison was wide receiver thirty
six in Dynasty. He keep Drake cut He's wide receiver
twenty four. Today he has jumped twelve spots after one
game back. And I think that's the lesson with Rashie Rice.
If you are willing to wait a long time, I
do believe he'll pick up where he left off. And
(13:38):
even if the Chiefs ad a weapon, because that's the
other conversation is Rasheil Rice seemed to be the guy
they were keying off of this offense. You know, the
Chief's offense is be hope with Isaiah Checko out Travis Kelce.
You know he's on his Travis Kelsey had his best
week because Rashi Rice left. Yeah. Yeah, So the question
(14:00):
I would have is simply like, do the Chiefs change
who they are because they don't have Rashi Rice for
such a long time. Obviously, but even if he doesn't
have that number one spot, when he gets back, Rashi
Rice will will jump back into extreme value. So he's
someone I'm targeting in the League of Record. In Dynasty,
change where I have accrued all these picks, my team
is next to nothing. I'm going to go to that
(14:21):
owner and be willing to part with the JSN, probably
not Pickens, but maybe even a Pickens. You know it's hard, Yeah,
it's too emotionally, but like, subjectively, if you just knew
Pickens value, Pickens is more of a win now, Pete similar, Like,
I love the upside, but let's be real, Justin Fields
is not Patrick Mahomes and even if he is the
(14:42):
future there so I would be well, like Rashi Rice
has that top ten potential and I do think he
can reclaim it when he plays football again. It's just
we're looking at almost a year in change and that
feels like two years in dynasty before you you know.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah no, but like you said, like and like we
talked about target a rebuilding team. Target a team that's
either tanking or a team that doesn't doesn't look like
they're gonna make the playoffs. They range four or one
in three and it looks like it's not gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Target them.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Say hey, would you like Rashi Rice blah blah blah
blah if you could get a good pick for him,
that you could use in the next year's draft or
something like that, or first in the future. Do it,
do it, just get that And that is also valuable,
especially if you're a win now team or you're a
team that's competing. You can use those picks to go
(15:35):
get somebody else. But you just don't want to trade him,
Like you said, he could be a top ten receiver. Again,
it may take some time. But if you're not able
to be patient, go find a team that can be patient.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Yeah, defer. You know, we had Tanner on this last
week and he's as you know, Thomas, he's very similar
to me as a player, having played with him a
little bit in exchange. Excited for everyone to get to
know each other a little bit more. But he's very
much that type of owner too. It's like we talk
about it all the times, like delayed gratification is such
a weapon in c dynasty and if you and if
you can just like he's the time he'll have a
(16:08):
trade in the inbox of someone. In fact, I gotta
probably get on the oh, piss me off if he
makes a trade for a sheer rise before I do
in before tomorrow. Yeah, before we moved away from the
news and notes. It's a storyline most people are aware of.
It's far more Redraft heavy than it is Dynasty, although
it's still relevant. Christian McCaffrey not going to be available
until November, potentially early, is what Ian Rock Report reported
(16:31):
Thomas as the Jordan Mason owner in Dynasty. Can you speak?
We talk only about the downside and all the Christian
McCaffrey owners who are devastated, which let's be clear they are. You, however,
are one of those rare and I'm in this in
several best ball leagues in other places. Jordan Mason was
my last pick in so many drafts where I had
(16:52):
no shares of McCaffrey. How aestatic are you about Jordan
Mason in in Dynasty or Redraft? Like? What do you
do with this guy? Man? Keep starting him? But young,
you're gonna hang on to him right after he gets back.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
I think I'm just gonna righte it till the wheels
fall off, because I doesn't it.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Feel like Christian McCaffrey might not pleay this year, like just.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Like a little bit. I mean it mays I think
he plays this year. I do because here's the thing.
I think the Niners make the playoffs. I wouldn't be
surprised if they if they hold him out till playoffs
because part of what I think that's what regular season,
they saw what Jordan Mason did and went, bro, don't rush,
we have we don't we have our seventy five cents
on the dollar. Jordan Mason can't at all do what
(17:34):
Christian McCaffrey does in the receiving game, but he can
run the damn ball and he can run it well.
And so I think that was a huge part, you know,
in certain in terms of staying fluid. I think McCaffrey
saw that. I think I think the coaching staff saw that.
You don't know that he's gonna be you know, you
can see it in practice. But after Week one, when
they saw him absolutely tear up the Jets a good defense,
(17:55):
they went, hey, dude, we got a guy. Take your
time and get this really healthy because we need you.
You know, we just get give you a contract extension.
We need you for you know, the playoffs and for
years to come. And that's what I was gonna bring
up for Dynasty. I still feel like McCaffrey, he's certainly
fallen down a tier or two in Dynasty. I wouldn't
draft him anywhere near the top four. You know, they're
like top three guys and Breeze, Jamir and Jon And
(18:16):
that's actually another conversation in and of itself, but like
who's the top guys in Dynasty. I think McCaffrey is
still very valuable. I still think you know what, Dereck
Henry is dooting at age thirty. Don't pan excel Christian McCaffrey.
In fact, if you're the Jordan Mason owner and knock
McCaffrey owner, see if you can go buy McCaffrey right now,
because I think McCaffrey will be back. You know, I've tried.
I've tried.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
I you know it wasn't The price wasn't right for me.
But I as a Jordan Mason owner, I I'm not
saying McCaffrey won't be back at all this year, but
for the season, for the Dynasty season or the Fantasy season.
It feels like they're not going to rush him at all.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
This feels like the Germany nine Week ten.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Yeah, the the Achilles issues in both knees, like I mean,
in both legs. It's like, why rush him when you
have this this backup.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Are you talking about dynasty owners right now? Are you
talking to the San Francisco coach? Hey, guys, I got
Jordan Mason I'm looking at I'm looking for Champ.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
I could do two things, to be true, you know
what I'm saying. I've done a little bit of both. Love, Yeah, but.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
I mean, man, I want to I want to ride
him out.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
But if what I don't have in the in the cartel,
the Christian McCaffrey owner isn't really competing this year, so
I can't see what I could get for Jordan Mason.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
So let me let me just ask.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
You real quick. Would you, if you were me, would
you try to Not No, not me, because he's not competing,
But if you were, if you had Jordan Mason in
another league and the Christian McCaffrey owner is still competing,
do you try to see what you can get for
Jordan Mason?
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Do you ride it out? You should be not. I mean,
it depends on your build, but you should be knocking
on that owner's door. Hey, one of us needs this
whole backfield, and whichever one makes sense for you, where
you win the deal. You should be doing because like, yeah,
the reality is you want the set, you know what
I mean. I'm becoming more and more fan especially in
Dynasty of Like, Hey, I just want this backfield. I
want this The way this coach uses running backs, That's
(20:20):
who I want. Like, I'm not ever wrong with Kyle
Shanahan's starting running back. I'm not ever wrong with Mike
or Daniel starting running back. I'm not ever wrong with
Sean mcvay's starting running back. As long as give me
Blake korm and Kyron Williams. Kyroen Williams looked awesome. Oh
happily start Blake Koram. Yeah, and I know he hasn't
even barely played. I'm just saying, like, there are certain
coaches in certain backfields that I buy into wholeheartedly. And
(20:41):
christ McCaffrey is an other worldly talent, but he was
brought to another stratosphere in Kyle Shanahan's system, and Jordan
Mason looks very, very good in that system as well. Listen,
we've already talked a lot of trades, Thomas. I'm excited.
We're gonna take a break, and then we've got Q
two predictions. We had our Q one predictions. Dylan was
there but this is your first Q predictions. We're gonna
be talking about the next four games, the moves, the
(21:02):
trades you need to make because since the dawn of time,
since man has been around, we want to know. I
will give you this for that, and we will tell
you exactly what that you need to get for this.
Right after this, welcome back in I'm here with Thomas.
Dylan once again is on porternity to leave. We've got
(21:23):
no additional guests for the show. It was great meeting Keith,
it was great meeting Tenor, but neither of those guys
accepted my trade offers after they came on the show.
And so you know what I said, Hey, let's go back.
Let's go back to the hosts. Let's go back to
the guys that care and the guys that give me
preferential treatment because I'm on a podcast with him. So, Thomas,
I'm super excited because this is your first quarterly Projection show.
(21:44):
This is becoming a staple the show. Just as a reminder,
you weren't even with us in Q one. Dylan had
some cool instructions. I had some full instructions. Some of
it worked out, some of it didn't. Injuries were a
huge part. But how do you feel, what's the overall
vibe that you over the first four weeks. How do
you feel about not just dealing in ice predictions, but
about some of the ones that you would have made,
(22:05):
And how excited are you to apply that knowledge to
your Q two predictions.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
You know you may, I am not. I'm not excited.
The reason I say that is because, like you mentioned,
this year feels kind of like an anomaly.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Bro It's I can get no traction on anything.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Nothing makes sense, nothing makes sense. Running backs are taken over.
And we thought that there was an age cliff at
twenty six or twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
There is no age. It's woozy, it's a loisy, it's nothing.
It doesn't make it's not running back. Top three running
backs in fantasy right now Alvin Kamara number one, number two,
Sake one Barkley, which she was my guy. I'm a believer,
SAQ one finishes number one overall, said yeah, man, I'm
taking the bit. Oh yeah, I felt great about that.
Oh great. Derek Henry's number three twenty twenty eighteen is
(23:01):
upon us. And by the way, the running backs, although
of those guys are in the nineties, in half PPR
the wide receiver, best wide receiver one overall, Nico Collins
seventy five points. I've got like five running backs who
read seventy five or higher. What are we talking? What
are we talking about?
Speaker 2 (23:15):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
It's a tear above. Yeah, it's yourself.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
So to me, like anything you did in quarter one
and we talked about in quarter one is totally like, honestly,
take it with a grain of salt because everything seems
completely different than anybody could have projected. I think, I
I I think one of my hot takes was Mahomes
and Burrow were both through forty five touchdowns. These dudes
(23:40):
might not get to twenty five. So like Burro Borrow
will because they gotta they gotta is.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Gonna have twenty five touchdowns on the year and would
have five Super Bowls up fourth super Bowl? Just stupid.
World do we end? When? World do we in? You know?
Like when do we play this game? It's don't know, man,
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
But like older running back James Connor, like, look at
these twenty nine to thirty year running backs still doing it, dude.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
The frustrating thing is the moment you get traction on
a take as well. Injury just takes it out this
season like one of my Q one projections, like Cooper
Cup gonna have an unbelievable first four weeks. I was
this was by the way before the season started, it
was it was off to a hot start. Pooka then
gets injured. It's off to a hotter start. Oh, injury.
It's like, okay, well I can't faulter for that. You know,
(24:28):
just is what it is. Josh Jacobs, I take partial credit.
The volume has been there, but no Jordan Love. It's
hard to it. It's hard to you know. It's like
if only had two games of Jordan Love. So that
was tough. Kyle Pitts I actually feel strongly about because
I told you it was gonna be bad and it's
a little difficult, and then you should buy him. I
hope you bought him. I still believe Kyle Pitts over
the course season will level out and be valuable, especially
(24:49):
with how bad tight ends are. But like, yeah, it's
one of I'll say this. I left. I left the
take Jared Goff gonna light the world on fire in
the first four weeks. I left that one of the
the cutting room floor Thank god it didn't say anything
because Jared Goff, what I thought was a surefire thing
as a streamable QB and redraft and a great QB
two in superflex has been pedestrian at best. Yeah. Yeah, dude,
(25:13):
it's this season. Geno Smith is a like electric electric
right now.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
He's throwing fifty times, man, Like they are throwing it
all over the place. So yeah, just to like get
back to the point like of all of it is,
we don't really know what's going to happen. Like we
came into this season thinking we should get receivers, receivers, receivers,
receivers because they don't get hurt. Man, it's it feels
(25:43):
like the running backs have had better health than all.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
The old running backs, the older ones other than McCaffrey. Like,
like it's been like all the freaking as something nothing
makes sense.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
So my whole point is, like, man, throw all that
stuff out of the window. We start fresh, and we
go with the information that we have and we try
to move forward and try to get this one right.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
I will I will kick us off. Yeah, I'm gonna
I'm gonna start with the biggest name I have. Okay,
And we were talking a little bit before the show.
Sometimes you start a take and you feel like you
know what the take is, so you go to do
the research to support your point. My research absolutely completely
flipped my take on this player, especially for Dynasty and
especially especially for super Flex. I do I do play
(26:30):
in one non super Flex league. I was asked to
join it from a bunch of guys I played frisbee
with and this whole thing, and I was I was
gifted Jalen Hurts. I inherited Jalen Hurts a very win
now team I've remade, it looks very good. We're competing,
And I was like, man, I feel like I want
to sell Jalen Hurts. And I thought I was gonna
come on the show and tell everyone else to do
(26:52):
the same. In fact, I had texted a member of
that league. I said, hey, I got a blockbuster trade
for you. I was gonna sellhim Jalen Hurts. He's the
A J. Brown Hunter. Then I remember it Brown's injured.
Then I remember Davante Smith is injured. Then I remembered
Saquon Barkley off to an unbelievable hot start, and Jalen
Hurts only has one touch push touchdown that I'm aware of.
Jalen Hurts has fallen all the way to quarterback six
(27:15):
on keep trade cut and guess what the fall is
gonna continue. Here's why the next four weeks bye week,
everyone hates those. Next week after that, Cleveland, New York
and Cincinnati. Some of those seem like favorable matchups in
that the Eagles are going to win. But I do
believe that those are gonna be Saquon Barklay games. Eagles
are going to get out ahead on the teams they're
supposed to be and be great. The other issue is
(27:36):
when are his weapons gonna get back? Probably by Cincinnati.
That is why I'm telling you Jalen Hurts is going
to be in a buying window you haven't seen in years,
and you should go take the shot because guess what
a lot of people say about Jalen Hurts. Hey, he's
only good because his elite weapons. Well, guess who has
contract extensions with him? Davante Smith AJ Brown, two of
(27:58):
the best wide receivers in the game. By the way,
Dallas Goddard has not looked bad at all. He's looked
awesome as a as a third option, needing to be
the one. Saquon Barkley's there for a long time. I
understand that Saquon is taking away rushing touchdowns. I'm the
one who said that was gonna happen. But Jalen can
still scramble in and he's still gonna finish with about
eight rushing touchdowns. He's off to a rougher start. It's
(28:19):
going to level out the weeks after he gets to
play the Cowboys twice. Like he's got our defense sucks.
There's a lot of favorable games after this next four weeks,
but the negative connotation and the new hotness in guys
like Jayden Daniels, who, by the way, gotta take a
moment to talk about Jaden Daniels. We'll pause for the
Jaden Daniels already the quarterback two on keep trade cut.
(28:41):
But that's my point, Jayde Daniels after four weeks, his
quarterback two on keep trade cut, Jade Daniels is worth
more than Patrick Mahomes after four games. That's absurdity to me.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Yeah, that's recency bias. That's recency bias. And look, I
understand he's been and I'm from s LSU and you
know how much I love jay Dames. But absolutely I
can't get down with that. That is a recency biased thing.
That is because he's playing so well, you know, and
so young, and he's a run he's a quarterback that
(29:15):
runs the ball and scores his goal line touchdowns. Like
I understand that, but that will taper off at some point.
He might make it through the season and become like
the offensive MVP. But it like it's gonna We're gonna
see a game or two where he's not completing eighty
percent of his passes. It's just not gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
The shoe is gonna drop. Guys are gonna get film
on you. It happens to every unless he's the best
quarterback who's ever lived, which I understand that's why he's
at quarterback too, But after four games, I'm not gonna
make that sample size. We thought that about Sean Watson
his rookie year when he did he had that five
game stretch where he was like, this guy's unbelievable. Sean
Watson's falling off this year more than ever. Though with
(29:53):
fantasy it definitely feels like coaching. We're just so aware
of how much coaching makes a player's value, Like when
you see Baker Mayfield, Sam Donald. This is a complete
tangent I'm going on. But like Baker Mayfield, Sam Donald,
Justin Fields, all guys we thought at one point were
dead for dynasty value or at least severely injured, are
all reclaiming it in better coaching situations. Jayden Daniels going
(30:16):
to the right offensive coordinator with Cliff Kingsburg, you gotta
give him credit, is the new hotness. But getting back
to the Jalen Hurts take all those names I just mentioned,
These backup quarterbacks playing hot like Jayden Daniels ascending, These
are things that make you go, oh, the guy who's
been like the quarterback two, the quarterback one for the
last three years, he's old news. I need to move on.
(30:37):
Nothing that made Jalen Hurts great is gone for fantasy
full stop. The offensive line is still there. I still
believe in the offense as a whole. He has incredible
offensive weapons. Maybe he gets even better because they get
a new coordinator. Maybe killing Moore sucks. I don't know,
and next year he's even better. The point is, over
the next four weeks he's gonna go down to value.
I think, specifically after the bye people are on. Go
(30:59):
trade for him. While he's on the bye week, people
are out. He's did I speak to his keep trade
cut value. He was at quarterback two, he's at quarterback six.
He's probably gonna fall off even further that Gras's gonna
fall off. He's a value. Go buy him.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
No, yeah, no, man, I can't. I can't agree with you.
More like it again, recency biased. We last saw him
with all his weapons at you know, his full arsenal
with you know, so to speak, was Week one at
Green Bay. They moved the ball pretty easily that game.
He scored over thirty points. He had to touch push.
I think he threw an in zone interception or else
(31:34):
he would have had one of like the like quarterback
one a quarterback and.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
One had had two rushing touchdowns the game as well.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Yeah, so, I mean, look, they were moving the ball
pretty easily that game. You lose your top two receivers,
I don't care what quarterback you're look at, Patrick Mahomes.
You lose your top two receivers, You're gonna have some issues.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Man.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
And I you know, as much as I love Dallas
Goddard and how good he's like, you're gonna need somebody
who could stretch the field. And even if you Jalen Hurts,
who a lot of people don't believe is like a
top tier passer, He's going like you said, he is
going to go off again once he gets his weapons back,
(32:18):
and you'll see him put up twenty thirty point games.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
When you have players that can take a slant to
the house from anywhere and you have like specifically the
wide receiper position he has to them. Davante Smith can
put off the put on the burners, a J. Brown
has put on the burners to run through. You pick
your poison. Both elite guys, both with contraction extensions, which
I do want to remind people like this this offense
is going to be the same kind of guys for
the next three years, and so everything that makes Jalen
(32:42):
Hurts likable is connected to him for the next three years.
So I'm a big believer. Thomas. This is a big moment,
your first production, first quarter projection. What you got for us, um.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Stay with the theme of the older, the barrier, the
suite of the juice.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
That is not that same. That is that I love
your take on that, saying though that's that's the saying.
I like it. I like it. If you've seen Friday,
you know that's to say, uh, but that's not the line.
That's you changed one part of the line. What the
black or the barrier the sweet of the juice? Yeah, yeah,
(33:22):
she's black mine. Yeah, that's not that's what I'm saying. Huh, bro,
I can't I full transparency. Never seen Friday. I just
know the same you never see Thomas.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
So this is we're talking about talking about. Sorry, y'all
is he says Chris Tucker says ice Cube. You know
they say the older, the barrier, the sweet of the juice,
and ice Cube said, no, it's the black of the barrier,
the sweet of the juice.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
We just accidentally did a bit from that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
And he said, what's she blackt at MF for two.
So that's the whole bit. That's the whole bit.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Now I have to watch the movie. Yeah, you gotta
watch it. Fantastic, all right, I got you. That was
a layer joke. You did something so intelligent. I was like,
by the way, Thomas, I have not heard way. Yeah,
I appreciate your correct no, man, but get back to it.
Hilarious that it is.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Man, So Courtland Sutton is gonna be my bye low
right now. Everybody's afraid of older receivers. He's about to
be twenty nine, I think in a month. And also
and everybody's probably so scared of having any Bronco on
your team that's in any offensive Bronco. But let me
(34:45):
just throw out you his target share over the first
four games of the season twelve, four, eleven, and nine.
They are not throwing the ball at all, and this
man is getting double digit targets. He's eighth in target chare.
He costs less than twenty five hundred on keep trade cut.
(35:07):
He is a number one receiver and there is no
number two in Denver. They don't like tell me who
they throwing it to. They're gonna dump it down the
Javonte Williams. They're gonna dump it to Jilio McLoughlin, or
you know, I haven't heard Greg Doltcic in a while.
Josh Reynolds had a donut last week. They threw it
for sixty yards and he had sixty and a touchdown.
(35:31):
My point is, if you're a win now mode, or
if you're looking to upgrade your receiver roster, why not
spend it on somebody who's a wide receiver one that
nobody values whatsoever, because every nobody wants to touch the
Denver Broncos. But if that target tree is Courtland Sutton
(35:53):
and everybody else is like as far down as you
could possibly go, why not throw just just throw your
your head in the ring of Courtland Sudden and see
what he could get you. He'll get you fifteen points
a week, and that would be just fine to be
a great wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Three of flex. The only thing I kind of want
to correct is I think you said his targets were
what did you say the targets were? Again? Twelve for
eleven nine? Was it four or fourteen in week two?
It's gotta be four because I think it was four. Yeah,
you said fourteen at one point for the show. So
(36:34):
did I say fourteen? I mean you said, you know,
you said that pre show To me, I was like,
he had a fourteen target game, So no is accurate.
So I agree completely. I think I mean those those
target shares, even the four it's like, okay, it was
this horrible week Week two, like whatever, that's insane targets
for such a cheap price, and there are certain players
like Chris Godwin was dead for dynasty value, I feel
(36:56):
like two years ago. Now. Obviously I don't think that
I'm not saying and something's going to re emerge as
Chris Godwin. But like, sometimes we give up on these
players because they're not young and exciting anymore, and then
the offenses improve and it's like, oh, hey, he's still
in his prime and he's still really good at football. Yeah,
so it's a great value. By it was Dylan's my guy,
I believe, so he was.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Yeah, it was one of his my guys, right, yeah,
And I've been watching it, man, Like, look, Denver's got
a great defense. The offense is going to do in
them any favors anytime soon. But you know, a wire
receiver one is a wire receiver one. That's That's how
I look at it. And Courtland Sutton has proven that
he can be a legitimate fantasy uh contributor to your team.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
So why not buy a.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
Loaner you can get if he's if he's that cost,
you could get him for a third and some change.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
You know.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
I think the other thing to remember with the Portland
Sutton is that he doesn't seem sexy right now when
you have your perfect, healthy starting roster. Yeah, yeah, that
hasn't hit bye weeks because by weeks start this week.
I'm in the league in read where I have like
six players out like I'm not even kidding, Like I
have David Montgomery, Saquon Barkley, like I've like all these
Lions and Eagles, Like all right, I'm completely decimated. It happens,
(38:10):
and so someone like a Courtland Sutton becomes so attractive
to have in the flex, especially with that target share,
because he could just pop off and give you two touchdowns.
That could be the week he goes for two touchdowns.
So always good. It's it's volume multiplied by talent, and
the volume is certainly there, and he's not untalented, to
say the least, move on to my second guy. This
(38:30):
is kind of a twofer. This is a double whammy.
I'm going with the receiver position. I didn't touch the
running back position, by the way, and this Q is
Q two projection because I can't make heads or tails
of it. Even though it's going a lot of the
elite guys are going off and it's awesome. Dude, I
would have told you two weeks ago, Like, yeah, man,
Carson Steele, smart ad, Like that's gonna make bro. I
(38:51):
would not have told you, kream Hunt. I would not
have told you, like come back and ruin that, Like
they'll probably resign Jerck m Kennon Jarre kind will show
up and ruined that all situation. But I want to
talk about a player who I have in in some leagues,
it's always exciting when you have that kind of second
or third round rookie pick that you wait on for
(39:12):
a year or two and then they work out. Khalil
Shakir is that in Dynasty. Right now. He is the
leading fantasy wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, being connected
to Josh Allen. He's wide receiver twenty on the season,
and that's after that's coming off of a really bad
week against Baltimore. He seems like the dude and I'm
going to tell you you need to sell him. Khalil
(39:34):
Shakir is a good wide receiver, but ultimately he is
the most replaceable in that Bills offense. He's good after
the catch. He's electric, so is Curtis Samuel. They brought
him in. He's getting more comfortable in the slot. Kean
Coleman is starting is starting to get traction as that
outside weapon caught a touchdown two weeks ago probably would
have much better games had he not been missing meetings
(39:55):
and had to be punished for the you know, the
first quarter. The target share I think is gonna go
down for Khalulshakir, and while he's always gonna be good
for a spot start, I think the excitement of oh,
here's a high end wide receiver three, low low low
end wide receiver two is gonna go away. And I
also think that the production is it's gonna be match
up based. Why not capitalize on that and go get this?
(40:18):
This is my double. I cannot believe I'm saying this.
Go get Jerry Judy plus. By the way, you can
get Khalil Shakir for Jerry Judy plus a pick plus
another I don't know, a court and Slatin, but like
something of value. Take the four weeks for Khalil Shakir
that have been not boom but really really solid, and
(40:41):
go get a player who may go on a similar track,
who's still only twenty five and is potentially gonna be
the target leader in Cleveland for the rest of the
year because I believe Amari Cooper is not long as
the number one in Cleveland. I think he does get traded.
I think he's unhappy. He certainly is making Deshaun Watson
look bad. Jerry Judy has Washington, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, and Baltimore
(41:03):
coming up. I think that's juicy. And I know going
from Josh Allen to Deshaun Watson is not the upgrade
we all think of, but target share might be. Khalil
Shakir is in a complete egalitarian offense. Dalton Kinkaid is
probably the primary target, is the primary target that I've
seen through four weeks. Khalil Shakira is currently number two,
but I think he could. I think, you know, Josh
(41:25):
Allen could move off of him and it become a
little more James Cook, a little more key On Coleman,
a little more Curtis Samuel and most importantly, I don't
think he gets red zone targets like ever and so
the touchdowns won't be there. So move off while you
can capitalize. It was a smart investment. But not every listen,
not every swing of the bat needs to be a
home run. Some of them need to be singles, doubles,
load the bases with trades like that and then go
(41:46):
make this splash trade another time. I think it's a
really savvy move. It may not seem sexy to move
off of Khalil Shakierra if you can, I know, I
couldn't agree more man. I I mean.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Buffalo is throwing what twenty something times a game? Like yeah,
I mean, I know the last game, maybe he was
in the Josh Allen had to throw thirty plus. But
if they are in control, you between them and between
Buffalo and Baltimore, I don't know if I want any
receiving options for those teams.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
I and I'm not saying long term.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
Maybe like Kincaid, yeah it's great, but like right now,
it seems as though, like you said, everybody's getting a
little piece of a pie and nobody can actually like
rise to the top of the heap. And I think
that's just the way the offense is structured now. If
you're not the running back for either one of those teams,
(42:43):
you you know, good luck starting Khalil Shakir and maybe
hoping that he gets six to seventy or something like that.
But it could be James cook day.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
And that's my point and I think as the season
goes on, it it gets even more egalitarian, right, Like, yeah,
it becomes even murcier. And here's why. Khalil Shakir and
Dalton Kinkaid, they're the two current target leaders. Dalton kin Kate,
I think he's going to say that way he was
drafted to the Superstar all those things, sure, Luise. Part
of that's familiarity. He is the only other pass catcher
other than Dalton Kinkaid and James Cook's running. But like
wide receiver, he was the only returning wide receiver who's starting,
(43:17):
so only one Matt Collins like so, Khalil Shakir is
the most at risk of having his targets eaten into
on a per game basis moving forward. So you know,
it's it's not a trade that's going to make you.
It's gonna take your team to the next level, but
it is going to just give you that slight advantage
you need over your opponent for the next four weeks.
I think it's a savvy move you should make, Thomas.
(43:37):
I want to hear your next one, but I want
to hear it after commercial break because everyone needs a
little bit of time to digest all the wisdom. We're
throwing their way. Uh, and we'll be back with your
next brilliant move right after this. THOMASO woitted long enough.
They've just heard a couple of commercials. I don't not
entirely sure about what I'm sure they're fantastic products. I
(43:58):
completely endorsed. Gosh, that's gonna be. I can't wait find
out what it was. Yesous, Uh, you know anyway, who,
what player? What move are you making? In Q two?
Because I got to just to give some context. You
(44:19):
and I in not in Dynasty Exchange. You and Dynasty
Exchange are a powerhouse forced to be reckoned with I
believe you're four and oh are you four own Dynasty Exchange? Yes,
four and oh and Dynasty e Change. You're three and
one in Dynasty Cartel are two leagues. We talked about
two and two. You beat me. That's why. Oh, you're
two and two in Cartel? Yeah, and why did I
think you were three and one? I don't know. I
(44:40):
don't know. You beat me, uh, and I lost. I
am four and also close on the first week. I
think I think you had had a tough start. Frankly,
I I should be like three and one. I had
like one of those really lucky, Like I was the
seventh best in points that week and I played like
the tenth best in points or something like that.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
But those are the good weeks, man, I made it.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
That's all I needed. Last two weeks, you and I
have both been incredibly high scores, but we've been second
only to UH. There's a guy in the league named
Jeremy Jeremy Lundblad who is the worst type of owner.
He's actually the worst type of owner because he's really good.
He's really not active in the chat, and he won.
He's the defending champion. His team is a powerhouse. He's
(45:20):
a silent assassin. I need you, Thomas, I need you
to not beat me rest of the season. I'll be
the two seed. You'd be like the four or five seed.
Go upset him, and I'll see you in the championship. Okay,
sound like that's fine. I'm fine with that. Actually I'm
fine with that. I love you so and your plan
to do that is this next trade you're gonna tell
us about. This is the trade you're going to execute
(45:41):
to get you there.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
So I don't have him on this guy on my
UH cartel roster. But I do have him in exchange,
which is our other league. I would recommend selling Stefan
Diggs while you have time.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
This is this is such a this, this is a
complete one eight from your stotefon Diggs going into the
season early on, I think I was right too. He look,
he started off well.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
He started off really well, and I was really impressed
with that. And I do think he'll still continue to
have a really productive, really good season. But let's talk
about the Houston offense real quick before we get in
the digs four weeks.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Do you think the CJ.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
Stroud owners who picked him one to oh three feel
really really good about him at this moment. I don't
think so. I'm and I know he's missing Tank Dell.
I know mixing is not there or whatever. But even
in the first week, it was a lot of Joe Mixon.
This doesn't feel like this is going to be the CJ.
(46:44):
Stroud show that everybody was predicting. I think last year
ended up being the CJ. Stroud Show because of the
fact that they had no running game, Damian Pierce was
not it, and the offensive line was not that great.
But I think right now, with the fact that Tank
Dell has been hurt. Diggs's target share went from six
(47:08):
and six, which was when tank Dell was healthy last
two weeks twelve and nine. Diggs is going to start
to fall off of that high target share because of
the fact that Tank Dell will come in. Mixing will
be back, it will be less passing volume, and as
(47:28):
good as Diggs is playing, I don't think that from
this moment on through the rest of the season you're
going to see his value as high as it has
been the last two weeks. So if you can get
off of him right now, get a get I don't know,
if you're looking for depth, maybe you could get two
pieces for him. I would I would look to get
(47:51):
younger at the position if you can, or get a
running back to help get you through the bye weeks and.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
All you you a name to go get right now.
Dantavian Wicks. Christian Watson is gonna miss a ton of time.
Dantavian Wicks. There's by the way, there's this. There's a
band of Twitter believers and Dantavian Wicks truthers in the
Dynasty community that truly believe he is the second coming
of I don't even know sterling sharp, but with a
(48:19):
longer career like gets to go all the way, like
he's He's Adams exactly exactly, so you know that's a player.
Go get Davonte Wicks or Dantavian Wicks, Davante Wicks, that's
gonna be his new Freudian slipp It's what's gonna happen.
But go get him in a second, right because you
(48:42):
may get the production and the upside. You can you
can do it for four weeks or add another name,
add like a two to two out well who exciting announcement.
I think his ears were burning. I mentioned Keith hadn't
traded with me since the episode. While you were giving
your take, im, by the way, fully dial completely listening
was complete attention to Stefon Diggs tape, lack of the
running game. Kirk Cousins is joining my cartel team. I
(49:04):
gave up to too well to to out Well two
thirds and a fourth or no to to out well
two thirds and a second for Cousins and a fourth
spread out over a couple of years. I got my
third QB. That's the difficulty was given up to two
because with Cooper Cup probably gonna be out a little while.
(49:27):
You know, I think he'll come back soon, because I
think he'll come back after the bye. But Puka, we
have no idea. I was like, man, that's that's maybe
a valuable flex piece. Things like that. Those are the
type of players that Stefon Diggs can easily acquire. Plus
picks that might be a similar or close. You know,
talk about Jordan Mason, Christ McCaffrey. If you get eighty
five percent of the points, Sefon Diggs was going to
score from the d'antavian wicks or to two out well
(49:48):
plus multiple picks. Are you upset? No, you're stuck. No,
not at all.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
I mean I I'm looking up his value right now,
you know, Okay, so Diggs on keep trade cut right now,
was worth three five hundred and ninety eight.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
You know who's worth less than him?
Speaker 2 (50:07):
Who I would love to go get and I would
be even be willing to put a piece with it
if somebody is not willing to get off of him.
Speaker 1 (50:15):
I want Xavier yet, if you see that's a name.
If especially if you are a rebuilding team. I got
rid of Sefon Dicks before the season on any any
orphan team or any team I had to like share
this Stefon Diggs because I just felt like it wasn'
gonna happen. Also, we canna remember Michel Collins, number one
overall fantasy wide receiver. He looks he's unquestionably the wide
(50:36):
receiver ones. But Tank Deell's coming back. Like you said,
I mean, it's gonna happen. Yeah, do you use him?
Why you can? Man get better? Why you can? Moving
on to my third and final player for the Q
two projections. You know, I feel like now that I
look at it, other than Jalen Hurts, these are more
(50:57):
obscure names, but that's the type of season we're in,
and that's the type of year we're in. Like these
in Dinas, Like these are the type of moves that,
like really balance your roster. None of these are just
splash names. But I think Tucker Craft will be a
household name after these next four weeks. I talked about
don Tavian Wicks, another beneficiary of the Christian Watson injury,
(51:17):
which I get it, he's always injured, but he's been
a big part of the Packers' plans for the last
few years, and it's clear that when he's there, they
like to involve him, they use him in the red zone,
things like that. Another guy that I thought would be
a huge part of the Packers plans, Luke Musgrave, he
seems like he's never available and it seems like Tucker
Craft has taken over the tight end one spot from him.
(51:37):
Jordan Love is back. The next four games are the Rams, Arizona, Houston,
and Jacksonville. Give me all of that in a tight end?
Do you want Tucker Craft or Mark Andrews right now?
Like type of Craft? Absolutely? Guess what he costs you.
Just in Peer picks a twenty twenty five third and
a fourth. Okay, that is next to nothing. And that's,
(51:59):
by the way, that's with superflex turned on. So I
just want to be clear. Tucker Craft, who's already a
top ten tight end on the season, is already connected
to a top ten dynasty QB. By the way, that
quarterback who just came back injured hobbled through for four touchdowns.
He like he threw for thirty something touchdowns last season.
Josh Jacobs isn't running into the goal line. Tucker Craft
(52:21):
has an insane amount of upside. The tight end landscape
has been ugly this like Tucker Craft could very well
be the next big thing at the tight end position
that none of us saw coming. Now. Even if he isn't,
he's still a top ten guy with upside week to
week to give you like week winning performances with multiple touchdowns.
Because of whose quarterback is, he could be very Tucker,
(52:43):
you know, Tucker Craft could end up being He could
be Dalton Schultz when Dalton Schultz was on the Cowboys.
He could be that tight end you never saw coming
that is so valuable for you in playoffs because it's
kind of like it's that free square in bingo. Man.
It's like, hey, I didn't spend Jack Kraft on my
freaking tight end position. The rest of my roster is otherworldly,
and I'm getting similar production to a Jake Ferguson. I'm
(53:05):
getting similar production well right now to anybody. Sause all
the tight ends kind of suck. You don't have to
go get an elite name of the tight end position.
Take a swing on someone them that has the upside
of the same amount of upside as any tight end
right now. He could go to the moon right like
tight ends with higher upside than him right now. Dalton Kinkaid,
Kyle Pitts, Trey McBride, Sam Laporta, end of list. He's
he's in the same tier as anybody else with upside
(53:27):
after those guys, and frankly he's off to a more
stable start. So for a twenty twenty five third and fourth,
yes please, I will take that deal all day and
twice on Sunday. Yeah. No, I agree with man with this.
Speaker 2 (53:39):
With the tight end landscape being what it is, you
you just want somebody on a on a high volume
passing offense. Yeah, Like that's and and in the red zone,
Like if he could get a touchdown, that's all I need.
If I know that he's and I feel like Tucker
Craft at this point, whither you get nine targets last week?
Speaker 1 (53:58):
I feel like he's Yeah, I feel.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Like he's good for three four catches a game, and
that's really all you can ask for the tight end
position and a possible touchdown. And if you could get
him for a third and a fourth, and he's what
second year player, high draft capitol, third round pick on
an offense that just you know is willing to throw
the ball all game if they have to. That's what
(54:21):
you want, That's exactly what you want, Like He's the
type of player you go get right now and you
just like sit him in your lineup and you say,
I'm just gonna ride a die.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
With this guy. Yeah, no, I I the way I
see it too, It's kind of like, do you ever
have a place do you have, like a food place
or a restaurant that you like specifically because the price
is so favorable, Like is there a place you eat
at more because it's it's just I mean it used
to be McDonald's for us all with the value menu.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
It's yeah, oh yeah, most specifically, Like there was a
sushi restaurant that used to do like happy out prices
all day, so I would just like take days day
and like spend thirty bucks and eat Like.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Yeah, but you've and once again, thirty bucks is not
cheap for a meal per se, but it feels like
such a deal. That's what I'm saying, Like, yeah, that's
That's exactly what I'm saying. It's all. It's it's like
I started the show, it's economies of scale, right, Tucker Craft,
you can scale your team to the next level because
it's such a great value and I'm all about it.
I love Tucker Craft at his price. You raised that price.
(55:24):
That's probably not worth it, you know, no, but maybe, hey,
maybe there's upside. Thomas, who's your third and final Q
two projection player. I haven't disagreed with you yet today,
which is unsettling. Uh. We're both winning games. We're happy.
We're just happy to be here. Just like by the way, Dylan,
(55:46):
he's not here. He's not here to defend himself. All
of his teams suck, His teams are falling apart. He
is losing the C. Higgins George Pickens bet. The only
thing he has going form is I believe Jayden Daniels
was a my guy for him, which I think we
already mentioned. I don't know if that was off show
shout out Dylan, he said, Jayden Daniels with my guy. Congratulations.
He's hitched his wagon to another young QB. The other
(56:08):
young QB he loved. Anthony Richardson sucks right now. Can't
stay up the fields like Dylan. Get it together, get
it together and then come back. Take him Minkyl. Yeah, no, bro,
he's you know, in both leagues, he's win out team
with no picks and they're not winning.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
So yeah, I know, poor guy not at all.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
I tried to bail him out the other week.
Speaker 2 (56:30):
I tried to bail him off for Tyreek Hill, but
he didn't want it and Tyreek had a bad day,
so that deal is gone.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
He's nothing if not stubborn. But we miss him and
we do want him back because I would be fun
to clown on him. But getting back to how we've
never disagreed, it's fun to, you know, attack someone who
is not here to defend himself. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
Right, So my third one, this is probably probably the
one I am not as sure about, but you know,
I think this has a chance to work it out
and honestly, no risk and no biscuit. And sticking with
my older receiver theme. If you if you are a
(57:05):
winning team or contending team and you're looking for some
receiver help, I say, go by Marik Cooper.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
And I'll tell you why. He had a first His
first two weeks were not very good.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
I think he scored twenty three his third week half
PPR if I'm not mistaken. Week four, so we know
Amari Cooper is a rollercoaster of emotions for a wide receiver.
But Week four, Amari Cooper dropped two passes, which is
not out of the realm of possibility for him on
(57:39):
any given week, he could just like check out or whatever.
But he dropped two passes pretty well thrown passes for
I think it would have been about forty yards fifty
yards a piece, okay, I mean total. He also ran
an eighty two yard touchdown that got called back on
a to me, a bogus holding call. You put that
(58:01):
together right there, that's one hundred and thirty yards right
that's and a touchdown. That's a great day by any standards.
And added to what he already had, which I think
was a couple of catches in like forty fifty yards
or whatever, then you have a monstrous day, which we
know he can put up.
Speaker 1 (58:18):
I say that to say this.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
I know that people talking about him being traded. I
don't think he's getting traded unless it's to one place,
and that's Kansas City. I'm not sure anybody else wants
to is at the point right now. In trade for
one year of him come back to Dallas.
Speaker 1 (58:34):
That would be a great day. That would be a
great reunion too. Come back. Yeah, man, that would be
a good story. That'd be some Kareem Hunt level redemption.
Speaker 2 (58:47):
But yeah, man, But you know he's right now worth
a second, a twenty five second on keep trade cut.
You know, I know he's not the sexiest name, being
thirty years old and all that, but he's still a
wide receiver one. If he gets traded, he's not getting
traded to be anything less than a one B or
a wide receiver one. So why not take a chance
(59:10):
on him right now where people are sour on him
because he let them down last week and hasn't been
consistent this week, he can still put up great numbers.
And if he goes to Kansas City, he goes to
a Dallas, they using him instantly, and both of those
are hot. Well, Kansas City is not a high volume
offense right now, but they will throw him the ball,
and in Dallas they can only throw the ball. Well,
(59:32):
so it's a risk we're taking.
Speaker 1 (59:35):
Yeah, there's such a volume. There's a black hole of
targets now that gotta go somewhere, right Like there's a
vacuum in the in the wide receiver position. Like listen,
I want to hate it because it doesn't seem like
him and Shawn are clicking. But nine targets, eight targets,
twelve targets, eight targets, and I brought up Jerry Judy, Washington, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Baltimore.
(59:59):
Those are those are games Cleveland's defense. I feel bad
for Cleveland defense because it's like, hey, we got you
guys the playoffs last year, like by ourselves, like like
they have not looked good. They look they look a
little bit spotty, but there's only so much they can do,
and the offense has been so bad for so long,
it's like you start to lose faith.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Josh, I'm literally scratching my head.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
You see that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
I know we're not on a podcast, so people might
not be able to see it, but I'm literally scratching
my head. Did we not come into the year thinking
that Cleveland was the best one of the top three
defenses in the league.
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
That's enough. I'm just saying, that's just another one that
just blows my mind. Dude. The Broncos look like an
unbelievable defense. I'm scared to start players against against the Broncos.
Dallas and Cleveland, who were the two best defenses. I
feel like last year when they started off the season,
I was like, oh, Dallas is so good at football
because they put up thirty something points on Cleveland. Nope,
Cleveland just sucks. Dallas just it's just it's just how
(01:00:57):
it goes. But yeah, the point is Mark and the
Browns are gonna have to score points to stay in
these games because I think they will be trailing against
Washington or at the very least in a shootout. Philadelphia
certainly believe that that's going to be the case. Cincinnati
believe that's going to be the case in Baltimore. The
next four weeks after that, I'm selling him because that's
when it gets Chargers Bye week, New Orleans, Pittsburgh. Yeah,
(01:01:18):
the way he finishes the season, it's a little risky,
but hey, this is just about the next four games,
and that's really what this show is all about. Break
your fantasy season up into four quarters. Win you know
the week that you're in, but plan only out for
the next two to three weeks. Let the entire season
worry about itself. In another time, players go on hot streaks,
and if you can get ahead of them, it's super
(01:01:39):
valuable for all of your teams, whether that be redraft
or Dynasty, but specifically in Dynasty, if you can get
a player that's about to go on a hot streak
and you can add capital on top. That's how you
really get your franchise cooking with gas. This has been
the Dynasty change. We're going to sign off because I
am exhausted from talking all these trades with you, and
I have to frankly fire off about five or six
more before I go to bed before waivers run. So
(01:02:01):
it has been a pleasure. Thank you for joining us.
We will see you a well. By the way. Another announcement,
we're before it move on. That was such a great outro.
We're recording on Tuesday nights and we will be publishing
on Wednesdays. Look for our show on Wednesday. We're one
show a week right now, and it makes the most
sense for us to be on Wednesdays, right in the
middle of your week, in between football actions. So looking
(01:02:23):
forward to being back next week. Thomas got anything left
for the people before we we head on out, o man,
have a blessed week, y'all, have a blessed week. Make
all the great trades. My advice is better than Thomas's,
even though I agree with the most of the show.
