Speaker 1 (00:00):
I say there is no rest for the wicked, but
at least for these two degenerates, there was some respite.
The Dynasty Exchange is back after a much needed hiatus.
I'm here with Dylan. Thomas will be joining us hopefully
(00:22):
next week. But Dylan, we got a lot of life
going on, bro. I feel like, you know, just a
life update. I mean, there's there wasn't a lot of
football news. I'm not embarrassed to say. I'm approaching thirty
and I felt so middle aged this summer. I've had
so many projects I've needed to catch up on different
things like that. It was a little bit nice. Even
though I'm obsessed. I was still checking the roster, still
(00:44):
checking trades. But after rookie drafts, I really just sort of,
you know, kind of bowed out. The show took its
its much needed vacation so we could get ready for
the season. But I know you got a lot of
life going on as well. How was it for you
being able to step away from your obsession.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
It was sad, mixed emotions, mixed emotions. The one thing
that I definitely missed was so have you guys ever
heard of Class of Clans?
Speaker 1 (01:11):
This is your ongoing. We got ten minutes in. We
didn't get it. We had five minutes in. Actually hit
me with I miss you, buddy.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
No, I mean it was it was definitely mixed emotions
when it comes to this lull in football, it's just,
you know, from the end of April through now is
just it's brutal. It's brutal. Luckily we had like Copa America.
I mean, I'm talking soccer here, Euros. How dare got me?
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Dare? How dare you stop it? It doesn't get you through.
You're not allowed to talk about other sports. You're certainly
not to talk about the lesser of the two footballs.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
I mean, it was on this ship got me through.
It got me through. That's what I clung to. And
then it may also I mean, you know, spending, like
you said, life happened. I'm expecting a baby and come
football season, so it's.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
My son is now walking. So that's a whole adventure.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
But you know, two dude, we're about to be two
dads on a pod that two dads maybe just changed
the name right there.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
I mean, if our giancy teams start losing, two dads
on the pod. But no, we we've got NFL A
little bit of NFL news to hit. Speaking of sustaining,
there's a couple off season shows. I've enjoyed Receiver Hard
Knocks with the Giants in the off season, which, by
the way, hot take best type of Hard Knocks focusing
on the front office is the future of Hard Knocks.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Everyone wants to play front office. Everyone wants to play
front office. Bro.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
They talk exactly like we do. Like if you're not familiar,
the Hard Knocks is following the Giants front office specifically,
I forget his first name. Actually it's something shown or
something like that. And he's the general manager for the Giants,
and he's got a great staff and he's working with
Brian Dable and I'm telling you that they're literally talking.
(02:56):
I just traded away Saquon Barkley at the end of
last like the regular season, like right before Fantasy playoffs,
and my thought process was, twenty seven year old running back,
you know, does he really have the juice left? He's
got all these carries on him. Literally the first episode
they're talking about should we move on from Saquon, and
they're bringing up the age and the carry count. On
(03:17):
top of that, he's literally at like a Senior Bowl thing,
and he's hitting up his boy who he kind of
grew up with as a scout, who is now the
like GM of the Panthers. He's like, hey, man, like jokingly,
he's like, hey, how does to first for Brian Burns sound.
I'm like, if that isn't me and Dylan answering it,
I'm like, I could do it. I could be an
NFLGM Dylan, and I think Dynasty has prepared me. It's
(03:39):
prepared all of our listeners. If you're watching that show,
you know, hey, I could do your job better than you, sir.
I would do it much better.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
It's so refreshing to know that fantasy is reality like
it really is. It's so refreshing to understand that the
negotiations that we have, the things that we bring to
the table and negotiation is actually used in real life.
That's a really good to know it's real life.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
It's good. No, speaking of speed of real life.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
You mentioned all these off season shows. You got to
give a shout out to d c C Come Dallas Cowboys,
Cheerlead bro phenomenal, phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
TV series, Like we've used all of our listeners, Like
we're five minutes and they haven't talked about any football.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
No, no, no, I think we it's it's worth mentioning. Yes,
we're Dallas, so that aside. I mean, dude, we need
to do what they go through, Like, dude, the mental
toughness is I mean, it's insane. Kudos if you haven't
seen it, it's on Netflix. Dallas Cowboys Cheerlead. It's not
like it wasn't the past, the making the team. Yes,
it's about that, but it goes so much more in depth.
(04:40):
I was emotionally invested by the end of it, emotionally
emotionally emotionally invested. I was emotionally emotionally invested.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
I don't think I've been more high. Like Dylan, you
and I could do a separate side podcast to the
Dynasty Exchange, like the DCC Exchange, because it was it
was the classic meme of like your wife's watching a
show and you're like, I'm not interested, and then you
kind of sit down on the on the arm of
the of the couch and you're like in passing doing laundrys.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
What's over.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah, by the end of it, I was I was
so enthralled, and I don't know that I've been more.
We talked about this on the phone for like fifteen minutes.
I'm not a shiting to say this. The standard that
they hold themselves to, and all of the women surrounding
that organization, like the leaders of it, reminded me so
much of home. Like those I told we said this,
(05:31):
I was like, those are kind of the women. That
was the culture we grew up in Texas. Everything's a competition,
everything's a high standard, Like it doesn't matter what you're doing.
If it's if it's cheerleading, it's cheerleading. If it's banned,
it's banned. If it's football, it's football. That's the only
way Texans interpret things like art from a like you know, subversive, like, oh,
it's supposed to make you think like Texans, we don't
(05:52):
want to think. We wanted who's the biggest, strongest, fastest, prettiest,
most excellent, whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
How do I get forward? Like that's that's the thing too.
And I don't want to spoil the show for people,
but every single person that was going to make or
was going to get cut always asked like how can
I get better? Or it was it's phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Bring security, right, it does bring seterity right.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Watch DCC if you got some downtime, he already went
through receiver and all that.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, no, and listen, I mean that us just chatting
about that encapsulates how how much you need to hibernate,
because you know, really, but by the time mid June
rolls around, you're really just counting. You're realizing how far
it's going to be until football happens. Part of what
I love about Dynasty is that you really have football
to feed off of in a meaningful way in the spring,
(06:38):
like you know, so far away, but who cares. I'm
enjoying the pre draft process. I'm enjoying all these rookies.
You know, mid June hits your all your rookie drafts
are over, Your blockbuster trades because of your rookie drafts
are over, and everything's hibernating. Like you and I have
both increased our leak count. I think I'm up to
four or five some public others friends, all of them
are dead like Dynasty changeuperactive, so everyone's keeping in contact
(07:02):
with each other. Hardly any trades, and if there was
a trade, everyone was calling each other because they're like, oh,
finally something happened. But speaking of something happening, you know,
NFL news has also kind of been dead, been drumming
up storylines, But Brandon Aiyuk has officially requested a trade. Dylan,
Just what are your thoughts immediately your first reaction? It
seems like this has been an ongoing issue. I personally
(07:22):
don't believe this is new news. It certainly isn't for
our listeners. But in terms of his dasty outlook, I
think he plays on the Niners this season and then
I think they ship him out. I don't think he
has any leverage to get out. I don't if someone
was going to make a move for him. People have
been aware that he's wanted out for a long time.
I think they already would have.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah, I don't know, man, You're right, it's not news
in the sense of this has been an ongoing saga
pretty much all off season, right. I think the only
difference in Brandon Aiyuk and you got the t Higgins
situation right, he didn't get his contract. He's going to
be playing on the franchise tag. I think what's different
is Brandon Aiyuk has done it. He is nothing to prove.
I do not think other than him missing out on money.
(08:04):
I do not think it hurts him to sit out,
like to actually hold out, Like what team? What more
do teams need to see from him? You know, Like
I mean the efficiencies through the roof. The dude had
sub hundred receptions and went for fourteen hundred yards. It's like, yeah,
what more do you need to see from the guy?
And he's already been touted as one of the best
route runners in the league.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, he was their best pure receiver. Deebo's a special
player and you can just get him the ball any
which way. Yeah, and for fantasy I would argue deeb.
But like, as just a pure receiver, IUK was certainly
their best pass catcher through and through. Where do you
think he ends up if you were to get traded,
give me like your favorite, like, oh, that would be
(08:44):
so cool, just for fantasy purposes. And then where you
most likely see him going.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Uh, yeah, for fantasy purposes, I think the best landing
spot for him would be Washington. I mean him and JD. Daniels.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
I think that was the best. I think that's most likely.
I didn't think that was the best. I'm curious to
hear this.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
I think yeah, I think it would be the best.
There's nowhere, like you start looking around the NFL and
it gets pretty slim. Either there's already wide receivers in
the room that he would be competing with significantly, or
the quarterback is like I don't know, so like if
he goes somewhere like Washington, is Terry McLaurin there, Yes,
Do I think he's a better wide receiver at this
point in his career than Terry McLaurin is and his
(09:26):
I think so. I do think so. I would agree
with I do think so. Like at this point Terry
mclaurin's twenty eight years old, he's still a good wide receiver.
But you've got a young spride Brandon Ayuku has already
played with Jayden Daniels. That could be the most likely,
and it could be. I think it will be the
best fantasy fit as well.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yeah, in terms of fantasy fit, I don't like it
selfishly because you and I are such key on Coleman fans.
But there's still to me such a glaring hole in
Buffalo or even the Chargers, those are the two teams
with the most vacated target.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Tam just won't be there. And I get he's not
a volume guy, but.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yeah, no, with the Chargers it would be less exce
the Buffalo because I think we all believe Josh Allen's
going to have at least four thousand yards passing, if
not forty five hundred most likely. Just it's gonna look different, right.
But because I'm such a Dalton Kinkaid fan, and because
I'm such a Keyon Coleman fan selfishly, I don't want
to see it happen. I do think he ends up
in Washington at the end of this year start of
(10:17):
next year, simply because that rapport with Jaden and Daniels,
like you talked about, they would seemingly have the cap
room to sign him with Jayden Daniels on a rookie deal,
so I could see that happening. I actually liked what
you brought up though, in that he actually could sit
out because he's still on his rookie deal and wide
receivers are making incredible, just disgusting money, and all he
(10:39):
does if he goes out and plays is put more
tread on the tire and potentially injure himself and the
contract that he currently has is like to me, I
would just treat it like a holding cost or it's like, hey,
this is just I mean, it really is just the
cost of doing business. It's like, okay, I mean based
out on four million this year to potentially make sixteen
to you know, sixteen probably like twenty to twenty five
million per year dark contract, you.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Know for sure. Yeah, And I mean I think Justin
Jefferson kind of set that president coming off of a
season where he was injured multiple times. It's still got
the bag right, like Justin Jefferson. No one's worried about
Justin Jefferson's health or what he can do on the field.
I mean, he proved to do it with whatever quarterback,
which is why he got it. I'm not saying Brandon
Ayuku is Justin Jefferson talent wise, but the dude is talented.
(11:23):
He the top five route runner in the league. One
he could say that he is up there now is
an all around wide receivers. He's top ten to me,
like in NFL. I'm not saying fantasy wise, NFL wise,
he's a top ten wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
No, he's he's he's a great player. Something that's important
to remember. We're gonna be talking about training camp and
on the other side of the break, you know, the
training camp stories we want to know the most. In
the offseason. We want you know, it's exciting for action
to be happening again and for things to start getting
you know, happen. But the reality is the most significant
(11:59):
news that's going to happen. But between now and September
seventh is people not being available for fantasy. It's gonna
be holdouts and it's gonna be injuries, right and on
that or speeding or du you dude, transition, so smooth
for me. Got to bring up Jordan Addison. Man, you
know there's been there's always off season news. Jordan Addison
(12:19):
already has a history with this. He got arrested for
suspected DUI. It's significant simply because I was looking on
keep trade cut. He has fallen off a cliff in
terms of value. He has dropped I think almost one
thousand points or whatever. I think he was the wide
receiver twenty two before this, and now he's all the
way down to like wide receiver thirty three something like
(12:41):
that as of today. Actually, let me vet that right now.
I want to double check what.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
You're looking for. I'll kind of here's what I'll say
about Jordan Addison. This is terrible to say, and I
don't think this. Don't necessarily agree with what I'm about
to say, but.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
I'd say something I don't mean.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
I don't believe. I yes, correct. I do not think
that Jordan Addison gets the hammer brought down on him.
I don't. I don't think so. I don't think that
it's going to be this crazy suspension. I do think
he will be suspended, especially. I mean, let's just talk
about the boneheaded decision that guy made to just get
behind the wheel intoxicated. It's just never makes any sense
(13:20):
not to mention coming off a week after one of
his teammates had just passed away because of a drunk
driving it. Yeah, it's just I mean, read the smart
that's just not smart.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
I mean if wide receiver thirty one, by the way,
wide receiver thirty one.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Thirty one, Wow, that's a big I mean, yeah, where
was he probably like eighteen, somewhere around their.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Priority No, no, no, no, he was hot. He was mid
twenties and and about about the twenties to go through
before this news came out, he was wide receiver twenty five.
Because the run he's dudes. Yeah, but but it's it's
significant because when you get outside of that wide receiver
two range in terms of trade value, it becomes not
to say tradeable, but it's like what am I? What
am I trading him for? I'm speculating on someone else?
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Yeah, I mean you're just you. I would So here's
what I'll say. I will be trading low. Like if
I could trade or buy low for Jordan Aston, absolutely
I would do it.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Where you don't think the hammer comes down.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Specifically, Yeah, and I mean he's still a talented wide receiver.
I get it, he's behind Justin Jefferson. I think I
think Sam Donald's going to start, and that's good for
the receiving options. If j J. McCarthy starts, not so great.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
I just don't understand if you and this was perhaps
ignorant of me, but like, if you're that much, if
you're not successful, you signed it your first round pick
in the NFL, you're a millionaire. And if you had
a good rookie season, you play football every day as great,
go home and play college football.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeah, like I just play in Cuba.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
If I if I could allow myself as like, I
would just do nothing like my life is football and
and all these cool social events that are scheduled, Like
I don't need to go out. I got another prove
I don't need friends. I'm popular.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
I just want to s just like.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Every time.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
It goes really fast.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
There, we've just solved every NFL issue ever. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
We're gonna take a question for you, a question for
you before we go to break. Are you buying Addison
like I'm buying low. Are you're out, You're out? Team gone.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
I'm dude, I'm I'm an I'm an old Texas high
school football coach. If there's character issues that are showing
up this, I think they're gonna persist, you know what
I mean. And I just don't want that in my
locker room. If I'm being transparent with you, I like them.
When a player learns his lesson, it seems like he
hasn't on top of that. Caleb Well, not Caleb Williams.
Forgive me JJ McCarthy coming in. You got a rookie
QB gonna be a less efficient offense. And you know,
(15:41):
I don't think he can improve on what he did
his rookie season, just based on the offense that he's in,
so I think he's gonna fall further, and I'll buy
him in a year or two if he learns his lesson, you.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Know, death taxes and Josh wepping out his buddy Garrity
accent for absolutely no reason. Those are guaranteed.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
I don't think I've done that on this show, like
hardly ever, but in conversation all the time. Speaking of conversations,
we'll keep it going right after this, Oh, come back in,
thanks for staying with us as we sort of get
back into the swing of things, you know, Dylan kind
of kicking off the cob webs. It's how it feels,
you know, recording the show, looking back on our Dynasty rosters.
It was, it was probably really good. We didn't make
(16:19):
any unnecessary moves because there was no data. But kicking
off the cob webs is exactly what training camp is
all about. And training camp is starting for most teams,
our beloved Cowboys, the Falcons, a few others are waiting
a few more days, but with training camp right around
the corner, and I want to I want to preface
this with you know, a grain assault that. Hey, sometimes
(16:40):
training camp stories are just all they are, is misleading,
like you get you start believing a training camp like
I was. I was looking at some old headlines. Do
you remember Jamar Chase's drops in preseason and training camps
that were an issue and then Jamar Chase just went
on and have like the wide receiver five season in
his rookie year or which respected. Yeah, well, ce J
Stroud's interceptions last year, it didn't. It seemed like c J.
(17:03):
Stroud was really, like really really struggling in training camp
and then he goes out and has one of the
best rookie fantasy seasons of all time. So maybe there's
you know, maybe there's some things you need to just
be aware of that it's going to just be wrong,
Like you're just gonna get data, and the data is
going to be a complete lie. It's going to be
completely inverted by the time the ray of season rules around.
(17:24):
But that being said, that massive grade of salt being said,
we're going to sell you, Yeah, what are some training
camp storylines we should pay attention to that you you
would buy in on or you're just excited to hear
more about.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Yeah, I mean one of the biggest ones for me
in general is going to be the rookie QB situations, right,
I think the biggest questions are does JJ McCarthy start,
Probably not, does Drake may start? We don't know. Seems
like Jaden Daniels, Cale Williams, they pretty much got their
spots on lock. But I'm really curious to see, because
(17:59):
I mean specific in New England, that's going to be
a very interesting how that plays out. And then, as
I mentioned earlier with the foul or sorry, the vikings,
to me, that is one of the most important because
Justin Jefferson afore mentioned Jordan Addison Hawkinson like that offense,
It's going to be very very interesting who starts because
I believe that Sam Donald is going to be the
(18:19):
better option. So as we go into watching these quarterback
situations unravel, I don't know, Like it seems like New
England's driving a hard bargain with giving just giving Drake
made the starting key so and we know Jacoby Brissett's
a capable backup, so I don't I don't know what
that looks like. If you had to say today, do
(18:39):
you think Jacobe Presett gets to start or do you
think Drake may beats them out? And they're just kind
of Free think.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
They're being wise and listen, if you're making the start decision,
I said, it's got to be it's got to be
a pretty deep league for for you to want to
just start Jacoby present. But we play in that right
our League of Raps sixteen teams, Dynasty Exchange sixteen teams,
so it's certainly matters. But I think I think it's
best for Drake May's development if they if they let
(19:04):
Brissett start, I think we have enough to like even
if Drake May is going to be great right away,
it doesn't hurt the Patriots at all in their division
long term for the health of a franchise. To let
Jacoby Brissette lead the way and let Drake May learn
how to be a pro and let him start when
it's like he's rearing to go and he's had just
a ton of tons.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
I disagree. I think we're too bought into this narrative
that you know, the Patrick Mahomes story. Let him sit
per a year story and develop Jordan Rodgers' story. It
requires a good quarterback and a good coach. Alex Smith
and Andy Reid are a lot of why Patrick Mahomes
is Patrick Mahomes Matt Lafleur and Aaron Rodgers are a
(19:47):
lot of the reason why Jordan loves Jordan Love yea right.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
I mean you don't think it's the time so much
as it.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Don't know if it's the time as much, because then
you look at CJ. Stroud, who was I mean, he's
got a great offensive coordinator, but like he just went
out there and figured it out. That that's kind of
how I hope New England plays it with Drake May
because I think that's best. I think he has it
between the ears to go figure it out, like I
don't know. To me, that's I think that's more so
the case because I think we're getting into this narrative
(20:13):
of like they need to sit and learn. Not everyone
needs to sit and learn. Some of these quarterbacks just
learn by doing.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
I just don't think if you're not going to be
if you're not going to be a super competitive team
this name last year, would.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
You have said Houston was going to be a super
competitive team.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
No, certainly not. And I think that's a great point
is that you just you just never know if you're
playing on winning, you play your best player. But Jacoby
we said, you know.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
What do they have to lose with starting Drake may
and getting him experience.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
You get bad experience, you get bad data, right like
you get ruined. I mean, how many quarterbacks have we
talked about like they weren't in a good situation? Obviously
I always bring up justin fields. I think you can
make an argument for Baker Mayfield in his second season.
I know he had some good starts, but Baker Mayfield
sat in the in his rookie year and then came
in midseason and then had an credible, incredible run. You know,
(21:02):
he let Tyrod start. I mean, honestly, if you want
to have a good rookie year, just have Tyrod Taylor
in front of you. He's kind of a king maker.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
I mean, you know, but yeah, I mean I guess
I am worried about the options in New England, Like
the passing options. There's no one there any of them.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
All of them are long term stashes, and Dynasty is
for that anyway. But like, I don't think any any
of them are going to crack my Dynasty roster, starting
even in my most rebuilding of teams, because it's just
too hard to know, and I don't think the offense
will be very good. So with New England, I'm you know.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Okay, what about what about Minnesota? Like, are you because
you're because you're a JJ McCarthy truther? You love JJ McCarthy.
He's your QB two in this class. He is going
to be the next Tom Brady in your eyes. I
don't know what any of He's a second cousin.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Tom Brady literally never said that you are fake news.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
No, you do have him as your QB two.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
You know, we need to talk about all the world
events that happened in between the show, taking a break,
we leave for one month and the world like there's fall. Yeah.
I just realized I said fake news. I was like, oh,
sticking with what we what we know, which is football. No.
I'm a big Kevin O'Connell fan, and I think Sam
Donald will get the start, and I think that that's fine.
(22:22):
I'm I'm for if you want your quarterback to have
staying power. I do think taking a couple of games
at the very least never hurts them in the long term.
It's not like it's a necessity for them to start
game one unless you have a super competitive team rearing
to go. I just don't see it working out For
most you know, most qbs, it's better to watch someone
else play the position and then hop in there yourself.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
I think. So that's right.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
I mean, but I am excited to see, you know
how that shapes out. But the reality is, to me,
that's not the most important drama because we know all
of the first round quarterbacks are going to start at
some point in the season, you know what I mean. Like,
it's not like their jobs are really on the line.
Unlike something I'm paying attention to already brought out Justin Fields.
(23:04):
How close is the QB competition in Pittsburgh. That's what
I want to know from training camp. Are they both
getting reps with the ones? Is that the expectation? Because
if you are a Justin Field's you know, investor, like
I have been, you are hoping and praying that by
some miracle, he can recoup value and he can find
his paths irrelevance quickly. Because I mean, listen, he was
(23:25):
a first round startup pick for me last year. I know,
I know I'm not the only one. And so that's
that's a story that is so painful.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Yeah, that is painful.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
And bro, if he had gone to Atlanta none of
this is a conversation, you know what I mean. Like
his free agent market, it seemed like it was a
done deal. And Arthur Smith, who loves him, that's who
was recruiting him to Atlanta. That was kind of the plan.
But then Arthur Smith goes to Pittsburgh and then he
ends up in Pittsburgh with Russell Wilson in the way.
So but that's I think Russell starts the year, but
(23:54):
I think Fields has got a chance. But that's to me,
that's a storyline paying attention to another one. Actually, I'll
probably give I need to give time for you to
go hate on Justin Fields.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
You probably would know. I'm good on that. I did
that all last season. I'm a new man.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
But just for you, yes, I'm glad turned a new leaf. Yeah,
coming to dad realizing.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
All right, exactly exactly, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
I love this time of year for running backs and
trying to identify some of those sleeper running backs, especially
like in keeper and redraft leagues as well. But like
a couple that come to mind is Jalen Wright on
the Dolphins. Just how active and how involved is he
going to be with the splits with with most and
a h and I want to know how that backfield
is running. Most important to me, the one I'm paying
(24:35):
the most attention to is Marshawn Lloyd with the Green
Bay Packers versus Josh Jacobs. What are the splits looking
like there, Because if Marshawn Lloyd is relevant, you could
go get him for a second or a third or
whatever and you could have an RB one by the
end of the season with how good that offense is.
If if Josh Jacobs is cooked. Blake Krum and Kyrine
(24:56):
Williams we had that debate on a previous show, just
you know, quite some time ago, but in terms of episodes,
it was only a couple episodes ago where you were like,
Blake Korm is gonna take over. That's a training camp
storyline that needs to be paid attention to. And now
is basically after June, you're allowed to start shopping for
running back. Seriously, when you get some data on how
(25:17):
the backfields are shaping out, I think you can start
taking some shots if you're in a championship window for
your Dynasty roster to go make it happen.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Yeah, I mean the second. The second thing that I'm
paying attention to in training camp is honestly the Titans offense.
I want to know. I like attention to that. It's
gonna have something to me. The Titans offense is going
to be the sneaky fantasy offense of this year. Like
there's going to be gold that comes out of that offense,
whether it's Calvin Ridley, taj Spears, like Will Levis, I
(25:47):
think someone is going to be fantasy gold, and I
want to know who it is. We've we've got to
get rid of this. Titans were a Derrick Henry offense
and really there's a brand new coach in town, a
brand new offense in town, and it's going to look
completely different. They're not going to just turn around and
hand the ball off to Tajay Spears and Tony Pollard.
It's just not gonna happen. They're gonna have to throw
(26:08):
the ball. Will Levis has a canon. We've seen the cannon.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Could two point zero? Could he be the like like
thirty touchdowns, like crazy good fantasy season on a struggling, young,
up and coming team.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Maybe he could. Maybe that's the goal this year. I'll
take it. Calvin Ridley, I'll take it.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Here's the problem, all the stars of yesteryear. If there
was a single young piece, if Brandon I Yuk had
had gone to the Titans and Ridley wasn't there, right,
I would be really excited for the Titans because because
we're playing dynasty in redraft, maybe there's some value. But
it feels like all these guys are a one year rental. Anyway,
what are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Calvin Ridley has got a four year, ninety million dollars deal.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
He's going twenty nine, thirty years old. I don't know
the exact ag.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
He came into the league later he missed a season
like I'm not missed too.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Real at yeah yeah, no, I Ridley is the only
piece that's interesting there, and you're not or and Ridley,
no Pollard.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
No, okay, good.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
These are the stars of yesteryear. You know how many?
How many superstars do the Titans have to come through
and and have die on their Randy Morris.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
John it's a different teams. We're talking about the former
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator. I get it. They have bookoo weapons.
I'm not yes, I get it.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Joe's winning a retirement home.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Will Levis is not Joe Burrow. Calvin Ridley is not
Jamar Chase.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
The line still needs a lot is an improvement.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
I think they'll be improvement.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
I can't believe we just spent five minutes talking.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
About the title. Just wait. This is also the guy
that told you guys last year to buy Justin Fields
in the first round. And I told you to buy
a Rich in the first round.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Oh my god. And Arid still is improven.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
And Rich is still going in the first round.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
We will we will move on. Is there any other
training camp storyline that you want to dive into or
that you're you're paying close attention to.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
There's some contracts that I want I.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Was going to bring this up.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
There's some contracts. Is seeding and dak Worth the first
who who was another one that comes on yet? I mean,
obviously we talked about Brandon.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
You.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
I just want to know what's going to happen with
these Like Jordan. Jordan pretty much a done deal, but
he might does not help to.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
He might be holding them, holding out. He's not going
to practice until they've got my contract done.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
That's what I think they'll get it done this week. Yeah,
I think they'll get it done this week.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
What do you think that contract looks like, is it
Jared Goff money? Is he fifty million a year?
Speaker 2 (28:47):
I think so. I think he'll break fifty million years
and that's.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Insane from literally though, Yeah, they do, and he won
them a playoff game handling.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
I don't know against any better than Jared Goff, Like
he literally has.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
No men memory of who he beat in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
That's got a great idea. I can't even remember.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
It's not as I don't even think the game happened.
I think it was a forfeit.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Think they did forfeit.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Yeah, basically we don't have to ever bring that game.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
We will not talk about it. No, But yeah, the
contract situations are very key. I think with in Dallas,
who do they pay I'm I believe that they will
pay Dak or sorry, that they will pay Ceedee Lamb
before they pay Dak. That's what I think. I don't
know Jerry Jones pays Dak.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
I feel like they end up doing it late and poorly.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
I think Dak they franchised tag him and then Dak
has a great start to the year and like, well,
we gotta pay him now. It's like stick to the
guns one way or another. Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Mean if Dak is I know this is a little
bit into the future, but if Dak is not in
Dallas next year or no, let's do this. Let's do this.
If CD is not in Dallas next year for whatever reason,
they signed Dak, let ced walk. What does that do
for Dak? Prescott's baluy CD Lamb will be ceede Lamb.
That's why I took him out of being the the
part that stays.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, I think Dak. I mean I think they'll draft
someone or they'll sign someone because they'll have the room.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
To do so.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Dak has made a lot of guys fantasy also, like
we forget Michael Gallup had an eleven hundred yard season
with him, you know what I mean, Like Dak, Dak's
a good fantasy QB. And what's great is that he'll
become so unsexy at that point he'll actually be of value.
But he's always floating around like QB twelve in Dynasty Values,
you know what I mean, Like you hit.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
More if they break up CD.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
I think CDs does, and I don't know if it'll
be perceived value, but CD is the only game in town.
He's the target hogw Like spoiler alert for any redraft content,
which we don't do. We just sort of dapple in naturally.
I'm out on Cede Lamb a little bit this season
because I do think they'll have more target competition, they'll
establish some people. I don't know when I say out,
(30:53):
I don't think he should be taken ahead of Jamar Chase,
even ahead of Alman Well, he's right there. I just
don't think he like I'm taking Christian McCaffrey Breestall, I'm
taking some running backs above because the yeah, I think
I would, I think a little yeah, that's the line, though,
that's the line I take. I take Christian McCaffrey and
(31:13):
those four running backs first. People are forgetting how important
running backs are. That's an entire in redraft. Running Backs
still score more than wide receivers do on average. And
I just think Cee Lamb had an incredible season, very
hard to repeat, very very hard to repeat.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
One of the.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Factors that allowed it to repeat is the Cowboys just
didn't have as many weapons, and more importantly, they didn't
have a sustained or a solid run game. I think
Zeke with Rico Dawdle will get back on track a
little bit more so, I don't know Ceelam's gonna have
a great season. I don't see a world where he
doesn't have twelve hundred plus yards, But I don't see
him getting seventeen hundred again. But that's just me, And
(31:50):
that's also partially because I'm pessimistic as a Cowboys fan.
I'm just like, I don't want to I don't want
to have hope, you know.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
I know. Yeah, last thing on the contracts to it,
I mean too was a big deal. Yeah, to me,
that is a huge deal, mainly because I've got him
in quite a few leagues. Yeah, where I don't, I
believe I do. I believe in too. I do think
he'll get paid. I think the Miami Dolphins are just
muffing this whole thing, Like I think they're not. They
(32:18):
should have paid him before Golf got his contract, because now.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
We all think that and say that, you know, it's
it's always hindze.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
No, Now do you pay to a less than fifty
a year man who is not going to take less
than fifty.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
If I'm one of these keb's and this is this
is true, I would I would legitimately be like I
want really good pieces around me so I can continue
to play football when champion.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Like, oh, like Jalen Brunson. You don't know basketball. Jalen
Brunson just took one hundred thousand like pay cuts so
that he can make his team better.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
One hundred thousand, that's nothing in basketball numbers on hundred.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Million, I'm sorry, one hundred million. Yes, that's impressive. Hundred million,
sorryndred million.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
I mean that can be really really small smart. It
can work out in the long run. You know, Tom
Brady obviously did it. But yeah, I'm not to a fan.
I don't think he's that good. I think Mike McDaniels
makes him look way better than he should be. And
uh yeah, that's all I have to say about that.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
You know, that's assuming who else are they going to
go and get? Like what, Q? Would you not just pay?
Why would you not two more years?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Just franchise Taghi Tu Mike free agent? It worked out
for Dak, it worked out for Kirk. I don't think
Toa is a guy that will work out for truly,
I really don't. He's got a lot of injury history.
Was this was the first year he was able to
stay on his feet all season, and he's in an
incredible system, and he he doesn't show up in big games.
The Dolphins literally only beat one playoff team in the
(33:49):
regular season, and it was our Cowboys, of course.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
But like they just have to bring up that stat
that could.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Have just I wish we could have I wish we
could have given me both, but it is what it is.
Let's take a break. When we come back, we'll talk
about the moves we are making right now. We've got
market Watch market updates right after this, Dylan. We've been
(34:16):
talking a lot of like quite a bit about what
to call this segment of the show, and this is
something we hope to have the entire rest of the season.
We always want to give you some direct trade advice,
but the reality is in Dynasty, trades are so they're
never one for one, you know what I mean. There's
always picks included, there's always something weird. It's multiple players
(34:37):
for one. It's nowhere near the same beast as re drafts.
So we want to always be thinking creatively and helping
you think creatively as well. I just wanted to look
at the markets and point out some values and tell
you some players that I'm trying to trade for in
every you know, in different teams that I have. I've
got some win now teams. In my main League of
(34:58):
record team, I am completely tanking. I've torn it down
to the studs. I've got George Pickens, JSN, Marvin Mims,
and sixteen firsts over the next two years. Yeah, the
first help, you know, balance it out. So obviously I'm
not gonna be trading for running backs in that league,
but in every league and team that I'm competing with,
I am trying to go get Saquon Barkley. Somehow, he's
(35:20):
still the RB eight. He's right, It like a Kyron
Williams level value. If I can trade youth for Saquon,
I'm doing it. I watched you know. Part of this
is it's the old hard knocks bump. When I think
about Saquon, He's never He's never been on an offense
remotely as good as the Eagles. I think we're gonna
(35:41):
have a special season out of Saquon. And I do
believe that there are just some players that the normal
metrics of wear and tear, the normal metrics of they're
gonna start to dissipate just don't apply to I mean Obviously,
Travis Kelcey is an example of this at tight end.
We feel this way about Christian McCaffrey, right, like, these
these are guys are borderline Haull fame talent. Saquon has
(36:01):
always felt like that has always been that he's incredible
to watch when you look at what the Eagles can
provide for him in terms of the rushing lanes, in
terms of the opportunity, that's just a super exciting offense
for him to be a part of. And by the way,
he's going to an offensive coordinator who knows how to
create fantasy goodness for running back. I e Kellen Moore.
Zeke's best years under Kellen Moore, well, not his rookie season.
(36:24):
But you know, I am super excited about Saquon. I
think he's a reasonable RB one and I think you
can have him. I think for the next three years.
I really think he'll be as good. Trade him away
at age thirty seas Yeah, genuine because look at Dereck Henry.
Derek Henry on the Ravens still feels like an RB one.
He's still being drafted that way, and redraft Saquon in
(36:45):
three years on the Eagles. I wouldn't feel this way
he was on the Giants. I'm gonna be clear, it
would be like, ooh, you know, back end RB one.
I think Saquon can have a two I mean two
thousand scrimmage yards. I don't want to say almost guaranteed,
but like very much could happen. I think the Eagles
are gonna have an unbelievable off this next season, much
to my own chagrin, but Saquon, I am buying him everywhere.
(37:05):
You can get him for multiple seconds. You can get
him for a first, you can get him for a
similar running back in the trade calculator. It's all gonna I.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Think it'll take it first. I think he'll take it
first again.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
But if you're making a championship push, Saquon will help
maybe lift you over the edge this year and possibly
the year after. I think Saquon's a special talent. That's
the first market move I want to highlight because it's
one I'm making everywhere. I can't set it out a
trade for him today.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Yeah. I don't know, man. I not that I'm out
on Saquon by any means. I think he'll have a
good season. I don't know that I'm buying in like,
if I'm in redraft, I'm not taking him in the
first round. I'm just not, which is probably where you're
gonna have to get him. In redraft. I imagine he'll
probably go in the first round because of the landing
spot and everything that you laid out. My only issue
(37:49):
with Saquon is whether it's by accident, whether it's him
just stepping wrong and rolling his ankle. He just seems
injury pro he has I'm not gonna save injury prone,
but I do not trust that he will be able
to stay healthy. Not only that, not only that am
I worried about the injury, but also Saquon in his
(38:10):
entire career has been a volume running back. He has
gotten he has been the entire offense for the Giants
when he's healthy, running, passing, everything goes to Saquon. That's
not gonna happen in Philadelphia. We know that's not going
to happen. So we're betting on efficiency in red zone opportunities,
which the red zone opportunity should be there, but I
(38:31):
don't think we're gonna see the push push go away,
and we forget that Jalen Hurts is a mobile running
or sorry, mobile quarterback. So I just I'm not bought
into this top five Saquon Barkley season. I just I
don't know that I can buy into that. Do I
think he's going to be good? Of course he could
finish as it back in RB one, and I don't
think you should be disappointed in that. I think you'll
(38:51):
be disappointed if you take him for the top five upside,
because I do not think he's going to get that
because he will not have the same volume. He will
have volume, but I do not think it's gonna be
what we're used to seeing him have. And then mixed
with the injury concerns mixed with that, offense just has
a lot of mouths to feed. I'm not bought into
buying Saquon at that price.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
It's understandable. Who are you interested in buying and or selling?
Because I know I'm.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Right, course, who am I interested in buying? I am
not interested in buying anyone except for Anthony Richardson, And
you know I'm gonna sell to get Anthony Richardson. I'm
selling Josh Allen. I am selling Josh. I'm selling Josh.
Here's why, here's why.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Lot takes.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
This was just Mark here.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
You didn't have to come.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
With I know, I know if I had Josh Allen
on any of my rosters, I would I would downgrade.
I seriously would downgrade. And it's not because I think
Josh Allen's a bad quarterback or he's gonna fall off
a cliff. Yes, he's set for regression. He had a
QB one season. Obviously he's gonna regress a little bit.
The problem is is I do not know Joe Brady's offense,
nor do I trust it. I think Josh f Josh
(40:00):
Allen is for fantasy. For fantasy, okay, I I mean
we saw it in the end of last year, and
then we saw it in Carolina. Carolina was kind of
he didn't have a quarterback right like, We're not gonna
hold that over his head. It was that jump, that
Matt rule. I was gonna say, draw rule, the Matt
Rule era, the Jaw Rule era. So I'm not gonna
(40:23):
hold it over his head. But even just watching at
the end of last season, I get it, Josh Allen
still Josh Allen. But that offense is gonna look so
different without Digs. It's gonna it's got Curtis Samuel in
it now, and they've got Dalton Kincaid, and I'm worried
about the pieces around him stepping up. Listen, I love
Keon Coleman. I love Keon Coleman. He's not gonna be
(40:44):
digs right off the jump, and I'm okay with that.
I'm forget with that. I'm still a truther in Keon Coleman.
But if I can take Josh Allen the QB one
and all the prestige that he has and down tier
what call it two tiers? Because Josh Allen's Tier one,
I would say it riches in tier three, right, that
five to eight range, That's it seems about right, And
(41:04):
I think keep Tree cut he's somewhere around there. No
he could take. If I could take a Rich and
then go get like a tier four or five wide receiver,
call it Chris Olave. I think, uh, Drake London's in
that tier and go get those two. A Rich and
a Chrisolve or an a Rich and a Drake London.
I'm doing that all day. I want to make my
(41:25):
team better. I believe a Rich legitimately has top five upside,
and what we've seen Josh Allen do over the last
few years. I think I do believe that a rich
is capable of that. So I'm making my call now
and I'm going for it. I'm gonna go do it
because if a rig pops off, there's no shot that
you're getting a rich plus for Josh.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
No, I that makes complete sense. I would pick a
different name. I still don't trust a rich yet. I
know your love for him. He looks great on film.
He does he can throw the ball.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
Who would you pick?
Speaker 1 (41:54):
I think Kyler Murray is a good downgrade similar. I
think you can get more just than Herbert. For me
would be an easy one. If I could get an or.
If I can get you, yeah, I would do Herbert.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
If I could do and a rich is the like.
If I could get that for Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
If I could get Herbert Lave, that would be that
would be dope.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
I just still not sold on Herbert.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
Let me see if I can, if I can offer
you a piece offering. I don't know how you're not
sold on Herbert. He's already done it. He's great. He's
gonna have a better offense, he's gonna have a bet. Yeah,
it's gonna be less pass attempts, but at least there
will be more touchdowns. Like I'm very in on Herbert
with the Chargers, especially at his current price. But player
you loved last season, A player I didn't see coming,
(42:45):
someone you loved, you know in the rookie process, pre
draft process. Who kind of a breakout season is? I
believe being disrespected because we're unsure about who the one is.
I don't care who the one is. I know he'll
have the most touches because he's like one of the
best athletes on the field, and that's Jayden Reed. Jayden
Reid is all the way down at wide receiver thirty
on keep trade cut in what world after the rookie
(43:06):
season he had? Should he be all the way down
at wide receiver thirty. I understand we're unsure about who
the true one is, but at worst Jayden reads the two.
At worst he's wide receive thirty. Brothers dis respect T
Higgins is above him, Say Flowers is above him, my guy,
George Pickens is above him. Xavier Worthy like DJ Moore
(43:28):
listen him, Yeah, yeah, bro, it's wild. Yeah that one
makes no sense. But like a great example, DJ Moore,
I was the biggest Dj Moore truther last year going
into last year, as you know, like probably one of
our best clips individually. I believe the breakout was coming.
If I can take DJ Moore and trade him for
Jaden Reid, plus, I'm doing it an instant because I
(43:51):
think Jayden Reid cannot perform Dj Moore this season, has
a way better long term setup and doesn't have a
Roma dunes a breathing down his neck because Christian Wawson,
Don Tavian Wicks, and Romeo do. I mean like, I
think it's a great situation. He's connected to a great QB.
Jayden Reid is just a screaming bargain because of the
uncertainty right now. He is someone I'm buying everywhere I
can get him. And I didn't even realize that until
(44:12):
I was I was researching something else, like wait, why
is Jayden Reid down here?
Speaker 2 (44:16):
One hundred percent agree, and I love Jayden Reid. The
worst case scenario for Jayden Reid is Christian Watson's healthy.
Even that you look at Tavian Wicks, you look at
Romeo Dobbs, you look at Christian Watson, those are all
three just different versions of one another. Jayden Reed is
the only wide receiver on that team that does what
he does and does it well. He is what they
(44:37):
wanted a Marii Rodgers to be on steroids. Like they drafted.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
Name I haven't heard in a minute you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
Yeah, he may have been third round, but still, I
mean that's.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
He was drafted in the second I believe Mary Rogers he.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Was drafted before. I'm on ros Saint Brown. I do
know that.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Yeah, yeah, we all know that from the Receiver show.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
That's just insane. But I mean Jaden Reid, I'm not
worried about him. If you can get him at wide
receiver thirty prices, I mean, good Brian Thomas.
Speaker 1 (45:06):
Junior plus, Like, are you kidding? Like Jayden Reid is
behind Brian Thomas j. If I can go get Jaden
Reid plus for Brian Thomas Junior, I'm gonna go maye
very right now.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
I'm gonna go make that crazy.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
Yeah, it's just funny what happens if you just if
you're paying attention, that's an easy buy because he's he's
always gonna get at least manufactured touches. That is a
safe eight to twelve points in your flex every single
week and half PPR format, so with us with plenty
of upside, because what if he is the one? We
don't talk about that enough. What if he gets the
majority of the work. What if he gets one hundred
(45:39):
and twenty targets and thirty or forty rush attempts? What
if he is Deebo Samuel two point zero. That's a scary,
scary prospect at wide receiver thirty prices. So doing another
market move, you're looking at making another player you want
to highlight, or move you want to highlight.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
I'm going back to the well man I'm buying. I
am buying wide receiver on KTC. He is wide receiver.
Just so oh thirty six? Oh Christian Kirk? Why why
does Christian Kirk continue to be disrespected?
Speaker 1 (46:10):
He's like we literally he's not He's like twenty six.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
He's twenty six years old and he was the number
one option twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
He's almost twenty eight years old. He's twenty seven.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
PM so sorry, twenty seven years old. That's not old
for a wide receiver. He's old, reliable. Like last year,
I was literally telling you the beginning of last season,
or sorry, the beginning of the off season, Christian Kirk
is going to be the wide receiver one. Oh no,
they brought in Ridley. Ridley's gonna know. Christian Kirk is
going to be the wide receiver one. Sure enough? Who
was a wide receiver one in that offense when he
(46:42):
was healthy. Yeah, Christian Kirk, it's going to be the same.
He's the safety blanket. Yes, I understand Evan ingram is,
He's not even really the safety blanket. It's Christian Kirk.
Christian Kirk is a safety blanket for Trevor Lawrence and
Trevor Lawrence that fat extension a healthy Christian Kirk. I'm
going to buy Christian Kirk. I'm going to buy him
for a wide receiver thirty six. You can send out
a second and get Christian.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
He would be so solid. I would feel so good
in a win. Now, if I've been a championship window,
I've spent all my picks, I'm down to my last
thirds and fourths. If I can scrape a bunch of thirds,
fourths maybe a late second together to go get Christian
Kirk is my last additional bench piece. I will admit
that would feel great, as like, oh my DeVante Smith
went down my DK Metcalfs not available is on by
(47:25):
Christian Kirk feels like the perfect.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
You're buying a wide receiver three prices? I mean that's great.
Come on now, now that's your wide three. What a
safe floor at wide receiver?
Speaker 1 (47:35):
He feels like when you upgrade a subscription and that
subscription was Tyler Boyd, it was like, you know, like
it was always good. But did I really that the
extra features just really weren't all that extra? You know?
Speaker 2 (47:48):
Oh gosh, I'd mean yes. And the only reason he
is probably wide receiver thirty six is when I said, yeah,
thirty six thirty So I can't believe that it's because
he missed the second half of last season. But let
me read you his finishes. This is your wide receiver
three potentially that you're looking at. From week two to
week seven, he was wide receiver twenty one.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
Did he get injured Week seven?
Speaker 2 (48:13):
No? When did he get injured week thirteen?
Speaker 1 (48:17):
Okay, you can't pick. That's not fair, that's not it is.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
He is consistently.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
Here's here's five. Here's five of his best games. I
know George picks five best game. He's been two thousand
yard receiver. What are we talking about.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
No, no, no, no, I picked a a streak. I did
not pick game two, game nine, game twelve. Go to
George pick Go to George Pickens and pick five games
in a row.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
In a row to George. Yeah, yes, five season.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Go to George Pickens and pick five. I literally picked
a stretch.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
We're doing conc we're having a petty argument.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
I want you to. I want you to go to
George Pickens and pick a five game stretch where he's consistent.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
He's not very consisting exactly.
Speaker 2 (48:59):
My point is, Christian Kirk, as your wide receiver three,
is going to give you a safe floor of at
least wide receiver two numbers. That's what I was given.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
I'm just saying that if you played thirteen games and
you picked five, that's like classic salesman, like you're not
telling the whole story.
Speaker 2 (49:14):
What am I doing here? I'm selling you on Christian Kirk.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
Okay, here's tude, ready to pull wide receiver eleven.
Speaker 2 (49:23):
Oh consistent? Look at the consistency one championship. Anyways, if
you want to look past his ignorant Josh's ignorance, Christian
Kirk is a safe wide receiver two he's going to
give you a safe floor of what ten points a
game when he's lucky. So I mean, go get Christian
Kirk as a wide receiver three, or you can go
get George Pickens as your wide receiver one and overpay.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
You dude, this is annoying. I mean, if this is
your first time listening to the show, I have been
on the George Pickens bandwagon for like two years, Like
I've believed in this guy pre draft, like he is
my everything. The amount of analysts who are coming out
out and like like posting clips like George Pickens is
interesting everything. He's my everything. I have. My career as
(50:08):
a fantasy personality begins it ends with George Pickens. You know,
since the show has been made public, I've been waving
the banner for George Pickens, but now all these other
people are doing it as well, and I'm kind of
getting defensive, like get off the like he's.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
You're that jealous girlfriend.
Speaker 1 (50:24):
Yeah, it's like, hey, I liked him when he was
a No. One and now you're now you're finally running
some actual analysis on him. Because it was impossible to
watch Steelers games because it was it was painful. Man,
I could go for some bad Steelers games right now.
I will admit, in an absence of football, Matt Canada
offense may seem alluring. But moving on, people are realizing
(50:46):
like he's he's risen in the rankings, he's up to
wide receiver twenty one, and keep trade cut. I'm a
little bit upset because I can't trade for him anymore.
I either already have him or not. I can't.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Do you really feel better? Honestly, I want you to
answer this without any bias. Set your affection for George
Pickens aside. Do you really think George Pickens at wide
receiver twenty one is a better value than Christian cirkcket
wide receiver thirty six.
Speaker 1 (51:10):
For your better value? It's actually a little bit close,
but I would still take Pickens. I tend to believe
Dylan he's gonna have a top twelve season. I really do.
I think it'll be back half. I think I got
him a wide receiver nine right now. But that being said,
that's if I'm getting wide receiver twenty one prices. The
Pickens owners, they're believers like me, they're already charging you
(51:31):
top fifteen. So no, in that scenario, in real life. No,
because I don't think I can trade for George Pickens
if I don't have I've tried. I talked to a
different Pickens owner in a league i'm in, and he's like, dude,
you got to be including like a Drake London or
and listen. I love Pickens, but Drake Drake London is
wide receiver ten no way, Like, yeah, no, you can't.
(51:51):
I don't think you can put them in the same
tier in terms of price.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
I'm seeing the reoccurring theme here. People who love Pickens
are often delusional. The side of loving chickens our delusion
and a session.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
I'm okay with that. I'm okay with that. Me and
my pickenscrat will be a happy bunch of Last player.
Last move, I wanted to highlight, Go get Dalton Kinkaid,
Go get Dalton kin Kate. I've talked about him in
previous shows. I wanted to leave with this. He is
becoming a my guy. I've never seen a more obvious
(52:24):
path to the tight end one break fantasy type of player.
I was out on Dalton Kinkaid last season. I didn't
like the draft price. I didn't like a first round
tight end all of that what Buffalo has done with
the amount of vacated targets. I don't care the price.
Go pay Sam Laporta plus, I don't care. Dalton Kincaid,
(52:44):
I truly believe will break fantasy at the tight end position.
I think we're talking twelve to fourteen touchdowns. We're talking
twelve hundred yards. We're talking a historic breakout season that
will win you your league, especially in a tight end
premium league. People may see it coming overpay to due.
There's a lot of speculation the Samuel Porta is the
Kyle Pits all that we saw Samuel Porta. I believe
(53:05):
that is ceiling. I don't think in that offense with
the Lions he can have any more of the target share,
any more of the pie than he already did. I
love Sam Laporta, a great player. Dalton Kincaid has the
whole pie and arguably a top three, not even arguably
one of the top three quarterbacks, certainly the top fantasy
quarterback in all of football. It is it is obvious
(53:27):
to me, go get Dalton Kinkaid. He's going to be
the one in that offense. Keyon Coleman will be the
two who we love go get Dalton Kinkaid. I don't
care the price, break the bank.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
Yeah, I can't really argue that. I do think the
offense is going to run through Dalton Kincaid. That is
one thing that I think Joe Brady will do is
he's going to run the ball with James Cook effectively,
and then he's going to get the ball to Kinkaid.
I think that's who the offense is going to run through,
and so I can't really argue with that. I agree,
good job, well.
Speaker 1 (53:53):
So glad we can end on an agreement. Dylan, it's
good to be back. I'm excited. We need to get
the juices flowing. We need to get really excited for
training camp. But the reality is we need to prepare
ourselves because the only real news that matters at a
training camp is the bad news. And unfortunately, man, I
hate to end the show on such a down, but
unfortunately that's probably what's going to be happening. So brace yourselves.
(54:13):
Are here to give you good advice, not just what
you want to hear. But stay tuned. We will be
back next week. Thomas should be with us. Thank you
for stopping in for another episode of the Dynasty. Exchange, peace, peace, yeah,
(57:04):
frea seen the pay of
