Speaker 2 (00:45):
I can't tell you how dumb I was with the
trials by that point, Trial of Strength, Trial of Knowledge,
Trial of Heart. I was getting really worried about what
might be next. For all we knew it could be
a trial of lightning or a try of terror. I'll
tell you one thing. If the next door had said
trial of scallipeds, I was not going in period. The
(01:08):
good news is the Trial of Heart actually was the
last trial. But we weren't exactly safe yet because what
we found next only made things more confusing, more complicated,
and if you can believe it, more dangerous. Please don't
(01:31):
be scallipeds. Please, please don't be scallipeeds.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
It's fine, miles. We would smell them by now if
there were any scallapeds in there.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Huh.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
It's just some kind of stone platform with nothing on
it except a few torches.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I wonder what this is all about.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I think I see a lever over there on the
other side. Oh oh, hi, I think it's an elevator.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Oh really, these people had elevators back then.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
I'm almost positive that's what it is. I think those
chains over there are probably attached to the counterweights somewhere,
and when we pull that lever, those weights will go
down while this stone platform goes up.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
It does make sense.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
After that incredibly long fall we had to get down here,
there has to be some kind of way for us
to get back up to the temple. And I won't
say no to an elevator because it would take a
lot of stairs for us to go back up.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Oh good point. So should we give it a try?
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Oh, Pack says, let's go.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
For it, all right, crossed fingers and pause. I'm gonna
pull the lever.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
It's working, it's working. We're going up.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
We're going up very very slowly.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Uh, anyone bring a deck of cards or something.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Well, didn't take long for your mom to fall asleep.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
She must be exhausted.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, you do only one. Maybe we better take a
quick nap too, Well, we can't. This elevator might be
another hour taking us up for all we know.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Good point before we do, though, I just wanted to
say I'm really sorry for.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
You. Know, I know you are, and I guess I
understand why you didn't tell me everything. Honestly, i'd probably
have a tough time telling people. Effectra Shade was my aunt.
I get it.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
So you're not mad at me anymore.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
No, my mom helped me see I was being a
little too hard on you. I had really already forgiven
you a little while back, and then you took on
the trial of heart so I didn't have to.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
Well, you would have done the same for me if
it was something I was afraid of.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I mean, yeah, so thanks for doing that.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
You're welcome, Thanks for staying down here to help. I'm
glad you're here me too.
Speaker 7 (04:16):
Oh shut up, packs, Yes, I'm more minutes, mam, Oh.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Just five more minutes, Roger.
Speaker 8 (04:33):
Who's five more minutes?
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Packs?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
What seriously, just a little.
Speaker 6 (04:46):
Miles, Huh are we back up? Talk good?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Because, uh, Petrock, we're still alive, right, Because I've always
heard people talking about bright light when you you know,
and and that's a really bright light.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
Miles. Look where the light is coming from.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Oh, oh, kids, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Mom?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
You want to see what solar diamonds are really supposed
to look like. Look over here.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Oh I don't, Oh, I don't believe what I'm seeing.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Believe it.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
There are hundreds of solar diamonds just sitting here in
this room, and they're so bright.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Goodness, I wish your father could see the smiles. It's
all he's ever dreamed of.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
And look around. I think there's some kind of control room.
Look at all the holes in these blocks. They're all
diamond shaped. I bet these diamonds are supposed to be
plugged in, kind of like batteries. Remember that huge solar
diamond we saw in the middle of the temple. How's
all dark and stuff. This has something to do with that,
I just know it. And look remember that weird looking
(05:55):
keyhole we saw it there with the eight sides on it.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
That must be the key.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
You've gotta be right, plugging in all these smaller diamonds
and using that key, we'll bring the homogenous solar diamond
back to life.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
But what will that do?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Pretty crazy stuff. Hot, It was a good thing packs
was there, because that control room we were in had
a lot of riding on the walls too. It took
them a while to translate everything, but we learned some
really important stuff. One, that massive diamond we had seen
in the middle of the temple was called the Grand
Solar diamond. Apparently it was the only one in existence. Two,
(06:34):
the Grand Solar diamond could be used to drive back darkness.
We had no idea what that meant, but it sounded
like a good thing. Three, all of those smaller diamonds
in the control room had to be plugged in. Then
we would have to take that key back to the
middle of the temple and used to turn on the
Grand Solar Diamond. All that was left to do was
to give it a shot and see what happens. All
(06:55):
this time, we knew the Hidden Temple had to be important,
and we knew we had to get there. But Globotech
and before Nactus, we just had a feeling that if
they got their hands on the temple first it would
be a really, really bad thing, and we had no idea.
How right we were there? I think that's the last one.
(07:22):
How many did you count?
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I put one hundred and fifty three in.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
I did one hundred seventy nine.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Wow, I did one hundred and sixty eight. That means.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Five hundred.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Are you sure the lion can do math?
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Pax is super smart, smarter than a lot of humans.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Wow, five hundred solar diamonds.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
I think this door over here should take us back
out to the main temple room where the Grand Solar
Diamond is.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
You're ready to see what it does?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yeah, let's go. Okay, everyone, I'm gonna put the key
in intour be ready for anything. I guess was anyone
ready for that? Oh?
Speaker 5 (08:09):
No, they found us.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
It took you long enough to get back up here. Now,
everyone behave and hand over that key.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
I was getting so sick of this guy. First he
crashed our plane, Then he lied to me and Drake
about Globotech. Then he teamed up with Knocks in the
night Wolves, not to mention fighting with Drake back in
the jungle. I didn't know what he wanted with our
key or with the Grand solar diamond. But I knew
it couldn't be good. So whatever happened, I had to
(08:42):
hold on to that key.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
Did I stutter? I said, hand it over now?
Speaker 2 (08:50):
No, how dare you?
Speaker 4 (08:54):
I don't know who you are, but you put my
whole family in danger.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
By crashing that plane.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
When we get out of here, I will make sure
you're put behind bars for the rest of your life.
Speaker 6 (09:05):
Ha ha ha. You actually think any of you are
getting out of here. It's far too late for that.
You've all had your chances to leave, or, in young
Petra's case, here to come back to her family. Well,
guess what, no more chances. Your journey ends here.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
You wouldn't hurt me my aunt Vectra.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
Your aunt Vectra will never know. Besides, I think she's
rather tired of you too. Now give me the key.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
I'll give you the key if you.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
Tell me where Drake is at the bottom of a
pool of quicksand where he belongs.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
No, you're lying.
Speaker 6 (09:45):
You asked me, and I told you, so. Here's your
very last chance for a quick and painless end. Give
me that key.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
I don't like our chances here. You've got to turn
this grand solar diamond on and hope it helps us somehow, Pax,
can you hold off the night Wolves for a few minutes. Mom,
I'm going to act like I'm tossing the key to him,
but I'm gonna throw it behind us toward the diamond.
You run, grab it and turn this thing on as
fast as you can. Petra, we're gonna run straight to
Agent eleven.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
Got it?
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Okay, I'm so proud of you both. Whatever happens, I'm
ready when.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
You are all right. Asian eleven, you want it? You
got it? Gologogo goo.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Ah, you little brats. You can't stop me.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
You've got it.
Speaker 8 (10:38):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh, it's like your backup. Got a little scared Agean eleven.
They're all leaving.
Speaker 6 (10:47):
What get back here? You MANGI mutts. It's not even
fully powered up.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
Yet, not so tough without your night Wolves?
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Hum?
Speaker 6 (10:56):
Oh, enough of this, God my ears make it?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Dad?
Speaker 6 (11:05):
Oh, how'd you like that? I call it the Sonic Disruptor.
You probably can't even hear me right now, but don't worry.
You'll get your hearing back, or should I say you would?
But I don't think any of you will survive out
here much longer. When it will be at least a
day before you can even see straight again. I'll take
(11:31):
this key for now, until we figure out what we
want to do at this place. I would say good luck,
but luck won't be enough to help you stay alive.
Ha ha ha. And poor Packs here has even less
of a chance than you three. Looks like my little
device hit him a lot harder. I guess lions must
have really good hearing. Oh, Packs, I was going to
(11:56):
leave you here, Petrol, but now that you can't resist me,
I'll just take you back to your aunt. I'm sure
she'll be very grateful, maybe even toss me a nice bonus.
Speaker 8 (12:08):
Miles, don't, Miles, oh, oh.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Don't know what on earth that noise could have been,
but I swear it must have come from somewhere in here.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
What the miles Rachel
