So there I was following my aunt, Vectra and tons
of agents into a jungle to look for an escaped
lion that may or may not have been the voice
I was hearing my entire time. Here did I mention
that the sun was going down and it was quickly
getting dark? Or the giant cage. If it sounds like
the beginning of a scary story, just wait, things got
(00:40):
a lot scarier for me. That is, we stopped. Why
did we.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Stop, Mischeade? We picked up the beasts tracks should be close.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
All agents spread out, be on high alert.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Looks like we won't be needing your research skills after all, Doctor,
Just good old fashioned tracking work, agent work.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
While the agent spread out to look for the lion,
I stayed with doctor Donna and my aunt headed further
into the jungle.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Misshade, I'm not complaining, but if Agent eleven picked up
the lion's tracks, why are we heading the other way?
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Doctor Donna? That line escaped from one of our cages,
one of Globotex cages. If I remember correctly, you did
the research to help us make that cage. I did,
I mean, I did?
Speaker 4 (01:41):
We designed it so that monkeys, even an octopus couldn't
get out an octopus. They're incredibly tricky, you know, always
slipping out of cages and causing mischief.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
In fact, my cousin wants as I was saying, those
cages were built to be inescapable by your average an.
Yet somehow that lion got out. I have a feeling
this creature is much more intelligent than we previously gave
him credit for. So what's to say he didn't leave
fake tracks to trick us?
Speaker 1 (02:14):
A lion breaking out of a highly advanced cage and
faking tracks. If this had been a couple days ago,
I would have said that sounded crazy. But you know
what else sounds crazy hearing a lion talk to you
in your mind. So I figured my aunt vector couldn't
be too far off. Turns out I figured correctly, because
(02:35):
a few minutes later.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Petra, please say that was your stomach?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
No, Aunt, Vectra, absolutely not.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Stay very quiet.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I think he's hurt, but he's limping.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Petra, stay back, But what.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
If he needs our help? I really don't think he
would hurt me.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Got you you beast, and one more for good measure.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
No, who you?
Speaker 1 (03:15):
He's already down and odd Vector isn't one tranquilizer enough.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Miss Shade.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Need I remind you that this beast is bigger than most.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Lions, And need I remind you Agent eleven that as
CEO of Globotech, I'm well aware of not only how
big this beast is, but how strong our tranquilizers are.
My niece is right. One is enough. We want to
bring him back unharmed. Any questions, No, Then get him
(03:46):
in the cage. We've been out in this jungle long enough.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Yes, Miss Shade, you four, you hurd, Miss Shade, move
the lion to the cage now.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Excellent work everyone, Now let's head back to the main base.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Oh dear, the rain, paired with the darkness, is going
to make it hard to retrace our path back to
the main base.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Good thing we came prepared. Then find some high ground
and have the agent set up the emergency tents. The
rain's already starting to make the ground muddy, so we're
going to have to leave the cage here for now.
There's no way we're going to be able to move
it with the ground this wet. You, Agent twenty, is
it right? You and Agent four will be assigned to
the lion first shift. Two other agents will be sent
(04:39):
to relieve you when your shift is over.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yes, yes, I'm going to see if the lion's okay.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
What, No, Petra, you're not doing that. Agent eleven only
used one shot. He'll be fine, But I just want
to see if No, Petra, didn't you see what he
did to my arm. He's dangerous. I didn't tell you
this before, but before we captured him and before you arrived,
(05:12):
this lion attacked a lot of agents.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Oh, I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I didn't want to scare you or your parents, but
that's why we put him in a cage. The first time.
He was hurting our agents and keeping us from collecting
resources that could help our world on the surface. And
earlier you didn't see it because you were turned toward me.
But that beast was Petra. You have to believe me.
(05:41):
We're not the bad guys here.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
I couldn't believe I had made Aunt Vector feel that way.
She was nice enough to take care of me while
my parents were away. She made sure I was safe,
and on top of that, she was my family. He
felt awful. I'm really sorry, Aunt Vectra.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I forgive you. Petra. I know you're just trying to
do the right thing. I just don't want you getting hurt.
Just let me and my agents handle that line. Okay, okay,
Agent eleven, how are those tents coming along?
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Putting the last ones up?
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Now?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Miche, we better head over to the tents.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
It rained for the rest of the night. I usually
sleep great when it rains, but this time I just couldn't.
I kept thinking about the lion. Yes, according to my
Aunt Vectra, he had heard a bunch of agents, even her,
and yes he was stopping Globotech from gathering important resources
that could help our world back up on the surface.
(06:48):
But my brain kept going back to the fact that
the lion spoke. At least I was pretty sure it
was him. I only heard that voice when he was roaring,
so it had to be right. And if it was him,
why was I the only one that could hear him?
I knew I had to get answers. I didn't want
to worry Aunt Vectra, not after the whole speech she
(07:11):
gave me about being safe, So I did what anyone
in my position would do. I snuck out while everyone
was sleeping. Now, where was that cage? Actually, where's anything? Okay? Okay?
Not the greatest plan. To sneak around alone through a
(07:32):
jungle full of wild animals in the middle of the night,
and doing it without a flashlight was very difficult, but
thankfully the cage wasn't too far away, and the two
agents assigned to watch it were well kind of loud,
loud enough to find anyway.
Speaker 6 (07:52):
Much longed two? We can switch.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Half an hour.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
God, I'm colding it like gold and wet, and I'm tired.
The lion's not going anywhere, and he's knocked out cold.
And even if you did wake up the trackliser still
in his system and take at least an hour or
two before he can even stand up by himself. Oh,
(08:26):
you're such a worry wart. If you want to see here, fine,
I'm going inside.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I probably would have stuck there, hiding behind a nearby
tree if that bird hadn't scared me. Turns out it
worked out for the best.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
What was that aged four?
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Wait for me?
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (08:56):
That worked out perfectly. You are hey, mister Lyon. I
know you can hear me, at least I think you
can listen. I've been hearing voices. Is that you or
am I? You know, just imagining things. I guess I
(09:22):
was imagining it. Help you are the voice I've been hearing.
I knew it. I can't help you. You heard all
those agents you injured my aunt. If I let you out,
how can I trust you not to hurt anyone else.
(09:47):
You weren't trying to hurt anyone. Hold On, I didn't
hear what you said. Let me get a little closer.
That's better. What do you say? What's that noise?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
