Speaker 1 (00:06):
Should the Minnesota Vikings target former Green Bay Packers Corner
Jayre Jai Air Jayre or Jayere Alexander. That's coming about
today's episode, But first I need you to check out
five Star Bass Solutions in Minneapolis if you need a
bathroom transformation, because they will transform your bathroom in forty

(00:29):
eight hours. Don't wait six to eight weeks for a
bathroom transformation. Get a full re model like my wife
and I did in forty eight hours. Our previous bathroom.
It had all the crap going on. It was a nasty,
disgusting look, blue floors, muldy shower, ugly bathtub with stains

(00:50):
all over it, a one sink, disgusting vanity. And why
they remodeled the bathroom in forty eight hours. New floor,
noose around, new tub, went from one sink to two sinks,
which is our favorite feature, and a new vanity. All

(01:11):
of this was done in forty eight hours and we
had our bathroom back within days. And it costs either
the same or even less than a project that would
take eight weeks. Affordable payment plans, free consultations. Five Star
Bass Solutions of Minneapolis. They're called five star for a
reason because they will transform your bathroom in forty eight hours.

(01:33):
Five Star Bass Solutions of Minneapolis. All Right, Gyair Alexander
is a free agent and the Minnesota Vikings have been
rumored to be seeking a corner really all off season.
And they added Isaiah Rogers Senior from the Eagles after
they signed him in free agency. And Jalen Ramsey has

(01:56):
been rumored to the Vikings with the Dolphins looking to
ship him to some different team and got the pass
with Brian Flores and the whole thing. But now Jay
Alexander is a free agent after the Packers could not
trade him or come up with a contract negotiation or
whatever the case may be, whatever they're trying to do,

(02:17):
And the question is should the Minnesota Vikings pursue Jay
Alexander as a starting corner? And everyone knows the history
of Packers players joining the Vikings, and the truth is
Packers players or the Packers organization pisses off players as

(02:40):
they leave. And to be honest, the Packers they're a
smart organization. They don't pay players past the time when
they should. They got off Aaron Rodgers at a great time.
They got off Brett fare at a great time. Aaron
Jones had a great season with the Vikings last year,
but they brought in Josh Jacobs. The Packers really are

(03:05):
a great organization in terms of, Okay, we are not
going to hold too tightly to this player, and there's
a lot of other organizations that could learn from them.
Greg Jennings is another one. And you look at Jayir
what he's done with the Packers recently, and his biggest
issue has been staying on the field. Last year he
played seven games. Two years ago, he played seven games.

(03:27):
Three years ago, he played sixteen games. Four years ago
he only played four games. So in the last four years,
the dude has hardly played a full season. Three out
of the last four years he's played seven or less games.
So staying on the field is a big concern. If
the Vikings want to bring Jai Air Alexander in, and

(03:51):
here's why I think they should bring him in, they
should bring Jai Air Alexander in to the Minnesota Vikings.
Have him match up with Justin Jefferson one on one.
Have Justin Jefferson dominate him, school him, show them all
of his nasty stuff, and then release him and then

(04:16):
say bye bye. Suck on this. That's what I'm saying, Hu,
the Vikings should sign Jayir Alexander to a veteran minimum
contract with no guarantees, bring him into practice, have justin
Jefferson gritty all over his ass, and then them cut him.

(04:40):
That would be the ultimate move. But seriously, you look
at JayR Alexander and you look at what he provides
a team when he's healthy, and it's legitimate defense, and
it's a cocky attitude. And I found this stat on

(05:02):
NFL dot com. An article written it says, when Alexander
has been matched up one on one with Jefferson, the
corner has slowed the best white out in the league.
But it is a small semple size per next gen stance,
Jefferson has one catch and twelve receiving yards on five
targets and twenty three career coverage stamps with Alexander as

(05:27):
the nearest defender. In Week seven last season, Alexander hit
a gritty after a pass breakup against Jefferson. So the
dude likes to mock players. Jefferson has talked about it.
Jefferson a quote recently last year says, I mean it

(05:47):
is what it is. Just like I said, he likes
to do that stuff to get inside someone's head. I'm
not really tripping on that. I'm just going to get
my back by grittying in the end zone, so I'm
not tripping on it at all. I'm excited for the matchup.
Jefferson has averaged seventy six pointy seven receiving yards per
game in seven contests against the Backers. He averages one
hundred yards per game versus all other opponents in fifty

(06:11):
six games, so it's clear that Jai Air has talent.
He's a two time Pro bowler, but his biggest problem
is staying on the football field. It seems like he
is destined to miss large chunks of time throughout almost

(06:32):
every NFL season he's played in. Now, and advantage to
signing Jaire to a contract is he is only twenty
eight years old next year, so he's relatively still in
his prime years and at least has one more or
two more good seasons left if he can stay healthy

(06:56):
and remain on the football field. So that's another thing
to consider for the Vikings. Now looking at the Vikings roster,
they got Viron Murphy, they signed him back. Isaiah Rogers,
they signed him and he is largely a question mark

(07:20):
because I think he had a gambling issue of some
sorts or had some off the field issue and missed
a large chunk of time. But it looks like the
Vikings are doing their classic by his stock low and
he's hoping to have a breakout year to sign somewhere
big the following year. And they've got Mackay Blackman coming

(07:43):
off of a torn ACL and the corner back room
is decent, I wouldn't say is elite, and looking around
the Vikings roster defensively and offensively, it is one of
the weak spots still on the roster. Safety Harrison Smith

(08:05):
Josh mctellis THEO Jackson. That's another weaker area on the
Vikings roster. Not that Josh mctellis is weak, but Harrison
Smith is not the player that he once was, and
THEO Jackson showed glimpses of being a good player last year.
He had an interception versus Seattle, but him playing a

(08:30):
role of every single down, every single play is going
to ask a lot of him. So there's no doubt
that the secondary area in the Vikings organization on their
roster is still the weakest part of the football team
because they shared up the offensive and defensive lines. The
linebackers are good, the receivers tight ends are good, the

(08:53):
running backs are good. The secondary is the weakest. So
I don't see how you could go wrong with bringing
in JayR Alexander on a one year contract. And Packers
players have a history of being a part of the
Vikings organization because they get bitter and sour when the
Packers cut them and they want their payback. It's just

(09:17):
human nature. So Jai Air wants to be a Viking,
just like Greg Jennings, just like Zadarius Smith, just like
Mason not Mason Crosby. Who's the kicker, Ryan Longwell player
after pret Farvor play, Aaron Rodgers wanted to be a Viking.
Player after player that gets cut by the Packers wants

(09:39):
to join the Vikings. It's human nature to have that
sweet revenge factor in your mind. And the Vikings have
a good roster, so it's not like Jai is gonna
join a terrible roster either, so he wants to be
a Viking. Another quick story, Jason Kidd. The Knicks want

(09:59):
to interview Jason Kidd and bring him in to replace
Tom Thippodeau after they fired him once they reached the
Eastern Conference finals, and everyone's wondering, Oh, why did the
fire Thippoto, And it's the reason why I got fired
from Chicago Minnesota. He's almost guaranteed a playoff spot. The

(10:21):
guy always makes the playoffs, but he burns people out
within the building. The dude is too tough, he's too
much of a headache. So people think that he's not
worth the headache of making it to the playoffs, and
they find someone else that could replace him. Same story,
different team. You'll probably do it again. You'll probably go
to another team that is kind of somewhat of a

(10:41):
playoff team, but not really. He'll take him to the playoffs.
They'll fire him in a few years. Now. They want
Jason Kidd. And the question that people are trying to
answer right now is if Jason Kidd wants the Knicks.
And the answer is very easy. Kid wants to coach
the Knicks. He's a former player. The Knicks have a

(11:05):
better roster. There's more certainty with the Knicks, and they
play in the Eastern Conference, which is far more weaker
than the Western Conference. Just compare the roster. Sure, the
Mavericks have the number one overall pick and they'll draft
Cooper Flag or trade it for Giannis. But two, Kyrie
Irving is coming off of torn acl Anthony Davis is

(11:28):
always hurt with something, and sure you have the number
one overall pick Cooper Flag, but is he going to
be ready to make an MBA final to impact right away? No,
so Jason Kidd. After the Mavericks departed with their superstar
franchise cornerstone player that might win MVPs one day and

(11:48):
that will certainly be a Hall of Famer Luka Dantrich
after they traded him, Jason kids a little bitter and
he wants to be somewhere else, And when the Knicks
come calling, he wants to go. Brunson, Karling, Anthony Towns,
mckil bridges. The Knicks roster is better than the Mavericks,

(12:08):
and they're in a position in the Eastern Conference that
allows them to have a much better chance to make
a run at an NBA championship. So Jason Kidd wants
the Knicks, the Knicks want Jason Kidd. It really boils
down to what happens within the Dallas Mavericks organization. Are

(12:34):
they going to be willing to depart with Jason Kidd,
bring back some draft capital, because the Knicks would have
to give up some first round picks to acquire him,
and then try to find his replacement and make a
run with Kyrie Anthony Davison, Cooper Flagg. But the answer

(12:56):
is obvious. This is one of the most obvious answers
in his Trio Sports. Jason Kidd wants the Knicks, and
the Knicks want Jason Kidd, and the reasons are fairly simple.
Kyrie Irving coming out with Torney a Cel Anthony Davis
always hurt, and that's the core of the Mavericks roster.

(13:16):
I don't want that core. That sucks. Not that they're
not superstar players, but they're always hurt. How can you
enter an NBA season knowing for certain that they are
going to be one hundred percent healthy come playoff time?
And the Western Conference isn't getting any easier. So if
they're not healthy throughout the regular season, then there's a

(13:40):
chance that you're not even in the playoffs to begin with.
So it's very simple. Jason Kidd wants the Knicks of
the Knicks one Jason Kidd, all right, thanks for watching.
