Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey Money Movers, Welcome back to Money Moves, the daily
podcast determined to give you the keys to the Kingdom
of financial stability, wealth and abundance. Hey money Movers, Welcome
back to the Money Moves podcast powered by Greenwos. We're
(00:22):
going to talk to the one, the only, the Indomitable
Terrell Owens, also known as t O. Welcome t O.
All right, how are you guys doing. Thanks for having me.
I'm so excited to have you here. Thank you so
much for your time. Well, one thing I will say is,
you know, you set a really exemplary example here because
you are now diving into areas such as wine and
(00:42):
technology and n f t s that I think that,
you know, black people really need to have a seat
at the table. You know, as we see technology boom,
this is going to be a new cryptocurrency in blockchain
and non fungible token revolution. And I'm really glad to
see that you're setting examples and blazing pathway for you know,
athletes and more celebrity entertainers to really get involved in
(01:05):
this um. So what's next for you? Are you coming
out with anything knew that we can get the scoop on,
oh Man I'm glad you asked. Uh, Yeah, I have
a clothing line, uh coming coming out is what it's
called Prototype eighty one. Um. And how I got the
name prototype was that the word prototype means the definition
of prototype is the basis on which something is made
(01:27):
or form. And so you're a prototype. I'm a prototype.
And I just attached my number eighty one at the
end because, like I said, I feel like I was made.
I'm here on this earth for a purpose. But everybody's
a prototype. You're you're you're you're you're made, you come
from something, and so um, with my clothing line, I'm
definitely into home decore fashion. What what Prototype eight one
(01:50):
will consist of is more of an athlete as your brain.
So it'll be uh made for men, but it'll be
a small collection for women. Um. And I'm also going
yeah and yeah, I mean, and I'm being a small
collection for for kids as well, So it's called Prototype
anyone Kids. So you think of hoodies, joggers, crop tops, leggings, tease,
(02:10):
things of that nature, caps any type of athletic you're
more you're to and from the gym, to and from
the gym type of apparel. Things that you can possibly
work at the gym, but you need to jump into
a quick lunch meeting or something like that. It's appropriate,
it's acceptable, you can you can rocket. And then my
other thing, um that I've just been I've been working
on probably the last five six months as well, is
(02:31):
I'm working on a candle line. Yeah, with a friend
of with with a friend of mine. And so with that,
she knows she's been to my place and she saw
that I was. I was definitely into like a fashion
home decore, and so she asked me about partnering with
her to do a candle line. So I'm like, all right, cool.
(02:51):
So those three DS that I mentioned, you know, my
three pillars of success, the desired, dedication, and discipline. Um,
we're designating uh, we're designating uh different sense and pregnancis
to those pillars. Right, there will be a scent for dedication,
and then there will be a sent for for discipline.
(03:13):
And then I have the wine. We created a wine
pairing candle. And like I said, I'm very creative. There's
been a lot of work that is going into the
whole process of developing these candles. So my middle name,
I'm not I'm not embarrassed to say it, but a
lot of people don't didn't know that my name was.
My middle name was El Dorado, and so there was
(03:33):
some research done on my middle name where it came from.
So it's like a French type of word or whatever.
We're not French. I don't know where my mom got
but we'll just throw with it. So there's this French
word called lead rey and so that means the golden
want of the golden child. And so I told somebody
about my middle name. They researched it. And then when
(03:54):
I played in Philadelphia, um one of the trainers they
had trainer at the time. You know, it was a
big deal when I went from San Francisco and I
played in Feeling where I was to Super Bowl. So
he started calling me the Golden Child. So when I
started doing this research, I'm like, right, this is meant
to be. So lay the raid will be the wine
pairing camel, and it will be it's a in a
(04:17):
gold vessel, So the vessel experiences that inspire something to
be created. So yeah, so the vessels for desire, dedication,
and doesn't I think it's a white, gray and black
and so some of the sense, I'll give you the
scent for for a desire. It's going to be made
with a dark glad lab denim rose, a saffron and
(04:42):
a cashmere vanilla. That's the scent for desire. So dedication,
you know, it's more of as it's more of a
scent dedicated for you know, really trying to get your
thoughts together, really trying to you know, collect and prepare
yourself or whatever it is that you want to. So
that's gonna be made with like, it's gonna be made
(05:02):
with a rose as well, uh maybe a sage and
lavender and on a rose petruly in amber. I love this.
I mean what stands out to me everything is you've
now sort of diversified all these interests things that you're
passionate about. But what's really incredible is you are being
focused on also recirculating dollars within the black community. You're
(05:24):
partnering with women, You're making apparel that you know, truly
like black people will want to wear. And this is
what I think is so phenomenal about how we can
truly you know, make moves to increase wealth and have
money being spent with and our people right absolutely, and
uh yeah, let me mention the last last channel and discipline. No, no,
(05:49):
necessarily good. It's made with a merry goo, like a
woody leather brandy, like a cedar musk. When you think
about discipline, Um, when I think of discipline and how
I explained discipline, out of all the three ds, it's
probably the most important one because discipline that's what really
separates the bridge between your set goals and your ultimate
level of success. So yeah, I just wanted to add
(06:10):
that into it. Uh. At last point, I agree, and
I think discipline is really the differentiator between like good
and excellence, Like if you have the discipline to take
it to the next level, like that is really really huge, right, absolutely,
And just to reiterate what you mentioned about, you know,
just being in you know things, uh, you know, creative
(06:30):
for the black community, educating the black community about things.
And I think that's what's been lost, you know. I
think you know, in the business business world, um, we'k
we're quick to support you know, uh, you know, people
of other color, but we don't really support sometimes our own.
And I think people, I think are starting to realize
that's what's you know, that's what's been missing, that's what
(06:52):
needs to happen. And I think that's even just being
social on social media and just being conscious of what's
out there. I think a lot of people are starting
to to support one another. Like for me, if I
see something that I'm into and that I and I
know that if it's a black woman, girl, guy, whomever,
um it may, I'll just buy it. I'll buy it
(07:13):
just just just just just just to show my support.
And sometimes they'll recognize my name coming through the orders
and they'll send me a note, you know, thank you,
you know for the support. It's not the other. And
so I realized even growing up, that's what was missing,
is really the just the true, authentic and genuine support
of of of us because again, we're so quick too. Again,
like I said, I'm a victim of it. You know,
(07:34):
it's quick to think that a white man or somebody
else is better than the black person. They is colder
than ours, right exactly. So that's where I like said,
I'm in a different mind space and um, you know
from where I was ten, fifteen, twenty years ago, and
so hopefully I can do some things to the community.
(07:54):
And like I said, the part, you know, the products
that I'm I'm putting, um, you know, into the market.
I'm hoping that I can uh you know, to receive
some support from as well. Well. We are so excited
to have you here. What a story, what a trajectory,
and you know this all started with the three d's desire, dedication,
and discipline that I get them right. Yeah yeah, yeah,
(08:16):
in that order, and we have seen those payoffs. Thank
you so much for being on our show today. Um,
your journey and your passion for your future has been
just incredible, and thank you so much for sharing. And
I'm going to have to find that wine and taste
it because I'm a huge wine fan, so you'll you'll
see my name in the orders as we support each
(08:37):
other as black entrepreneurs. So thank you so much, Tara Owens.
You've been a joy to have here. And thank you
so much, money movers um t O. Do you want
to say any last words before we we send you
on your way. No, I appreciate, I said, I appreciate
the opportunity to come in and uh kind of add
some uh some voice to what you guys are doing. Um,
(08:57):
like I said, and share a little bit of my story.
A lot of people they hear this, not and the
other about me. But until you actually talk to the person, um,
you'll never really know what that person is about. And
so for me, uh, this has been a good tween
whatever thirty minutes, uh, you know, shared with you guys,
and people get to honestly see you know and here
you know from me versus reading things on the internet
(09:18):
about me. So at the end of the day, I
am who I am, a proud black man, and I
realized that a lot of things are going on in
the country, and so I have a voice, I have
a platform, and I want to share that as much
as as much as I can to prevent someone, I said,
you know, I from going down the same pass that
I that I've been been down, good and bad. But
at the end of the day, like I said, I
(09:39):
lived by those of those three pillars of success, desire, dedication,
and discipline, because at the end of the day, we
all have a desire to be to do something in life.
But infer to ultimately reach your level of success, you've
got to dedicate yourself, which is dedication, and you've got
to have that discipline. And as I said, discipline, you know,
I said, it's that bridge between you know uh and
(10:01):
brings to everything, to to fruition. It's really that that
bridge between you know, your your set goals and your
ultimate level of success whatever it is that you want
to achieve, absolutely and t O. Thank you so much.
And again those three d s desire, dedication, and discipline.
I think you're gonna have to add diversify because you're
clearly making all sorts of money moves through diverse transactions
(10:22):
and products that you're building. So congratulations to you, and
thank you so much for sharing your time and dropping
your story and some gens here, thank you so much
