Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is my legacy.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
In today's Bonus Draft, best selling author Gabby Bernstein, together
with her best friend Taras Styles, shares the real truth
about manifestation and how to find peace in life's hardest moments.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
And Gabby, when I think of your just extraordinary work
in especially in teaching and coaching individuals how to manifest,
can you help our listeners? I think when we hear
the power of manifesting, people are both inspired and also
there's often a lot of misunderstanding. Can you can you
(00:36):
teach us the masterclass? How do we do it? And
what are some of those misunderstandings that you can help
clear up for us?
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Well, I think that manifesting is very much in the
zeitgeist right now, and it's quite trendy to sort of manifest.
But this idea that this is this trend or this
thing that we do is very off base, because we
manifesting is natural, manifest who we are, We manifest what
(01:03):
we believe. The ability that we all have, the innate
ability that we all have to have far more magnitude
and impact than we even contemplate then we can even contemplate,
is extraordinary. And I would I would, I would use
I would use Martin Luther King Junior as the greatest
(01:24):
example of manifestation in full form, where there's a movement
happening within and a transformation happening within, and then in
the expression of that transformation, a movement outside begins to cultivate.
And so what is the manifestation of a movement. It's
an energetic frequency that ignites more energy. And so those
(01:48):
of us who you know, sort of think that this
is something that we have to like practice or tap into,
it's quite wrong. It's actually releasing all the blocks and
the barriers to the presence of that magnitude that is
within all of us.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
So our work here.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Particularly those of us who are in this kind of
dialogue and those of us who are in the service
oriented mission. Anyone listening to this podcast right now raised
their hand in this lifetime and said, I'm showing up.
I'm going to serve in some capacity. Those of us
who are in this conversation have a very big responsibility
to elevate our thoughts, our beliefs, and our frequency, because
(02:24):
that is how we manifest, not just what we want
and not just some job or some relationship, but that's
how we manifest change. That's how we manifest change. Those
of us, particularly those of us who have the privilege
of living in a Western culture and the privilege of
being able to have the Internet and have a podcast,
and have dinner at the table, and go to your
(02:45):
kids school and pick them up. These are privileges. Those
of us who are living with these privileges at this
time have a major responsibility to use to release all
the blocks to the presence of that power inside, and
to use it for good and to not use it
as a magic trick to go attract that that ferrari
or that boyfriend or whatever. All the nice things that
we attract into our life are always a reflection of
(03:07):
the vibrational frequency that we are. But the most important
use of that frequency is to be in the service
of good and so so the the secret to manifesting
is to be in the energy of joy. And in
that elevated energy of joy we are guided. We're intuitively
shown where to go, what to do, how to show up,
and we are directed. And so the and the ease
(03:30):
with which we make these decisions, and the ease I'm
sure you guys have seen this with your with your
nonprofit that that invisible door is open for you, right
that that Oh wow, that thing just happened. It feels
effortless at times, Oh my god, how did this movement
created here? Where did this this new service oriented thing happen?
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Why?
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Because you're in the frequency of service, love and joy, period.
So the work of manifesting is just to do whatever
it takes to get closer to that consciousness. And I remember,
you know, years ago, I sat with Deepak and I said,
you know, I'm doing this spiritual practice, and I'm doing
this spiritual practice.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
And you know, where do I go?
Speaker 4 (04:05):
And he looked at me, he goes, do whatever it
takes get close their consciousness.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Just do whatever it takes to get closer to consciousness.
And and that's it, and and that and that is
that is the secret.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
So so you know, for the sake of like, you know,
this new generation of spiritual people that want to you know,
follow these manifesting trends, great, it's a trend. If that
was what gets them in the door and helps them
start changing and healing, wonderful. But most importantly, true manifesting
is being in your highest frequency so that you can
enjoy your life. Be at the highest elevated state and
(04:37):
then therefore show up and help others wake up at
the same time.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Period.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Scrolling won't change your life, but subscribing just might tap
that button and stay connected to conversations that can't. Now
back to my legacy and sob. So the question is
how do we do that?
Speaker 5 (04:58):
Because order to do whatever it takes to be closer
to consciousness, as you eloquently said, we also need to
be at peace. You inspire millions of people to live
their best lives, but also to find and bring peace,
especially peace to inner chaos. Give me one or two
tips of how do you best do that?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
First and foremost is to notice that I'm not in peace.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
We can't heal what we will not see. So to
look at your life and to have those moments like
I had on October second in two thousand and five,
where we look at our life and we say is
this it? It's got to be better than this. And
to be able to witness in those moments and say
I need help, I need a miracle. I choose to
see this differently. That is a turning point. Those moments
(05:44):
of recognition I do not want this opens the door
to something new that's imperative and then being in a
daily humble surrender to an inner wisdom or a higher
power of your owner understanding, to humbly surrender daily and say,
show me what you got, show me where to go,
(06:06):
show me what to do. Because even if that doesn't
resonate with you, even if you don't have a higher
power of your own understanding, you can ask your inner
guidance system, your inner wisdom, your higher self to tune
in and ask what would you have me do today?
What miracles would you have me perform today? Because the inquiry,
(06:28):
the knowing what we don't want to know that we
want something new, is imperative. But the inquiry that's that
gentle inquiry daily of you know, what would you have
me do? Actually is a sending a signal to the universe.
It's opening up an invisible door for you to open
up your conscious awareness to maybe press play on a
podcast like this, or to maybe watch that video of
(06:49):
Tara teaching you how to tune in softly, or to
maybe see that book that falls off the shelf and
actually read that book. So it's that subtle prayer daily
of what would you have me do? That opens up
your consciousness to receive that good, orderly direction that God
to guide you towards the next right action, and then
we have to take the lots of little right actions
(07:11):
towards that bigger healing. It's small right actions. It's not
rip off the band aid tomorrow. It's lots of little
right actions. And so if you stay in that humility
of what would you have me do, those little right
actions are presented to you, but then you have to
show up for them.
Speaker 6 (07:25):
You all have both mentioned service today, and we collectively
have a project called Realize the Dream where we are
healing and uniting America through a commitment of one hundred
million hours of service by twenty twenty nine Martin Luther
King Junior's one hundredth birthday. And the thing is is
that the service can be done in any way that
(07:48):
is authentic for the person that's doing it. So, yes,
there are ways in which you can get involved on
the website, but if you want to start a club
in your apartment company, so, or a lady needs help
with her children, you know, and you volunteer to you know,
watch her kids, you know, one hour a week. And
(08:08):
so I'm very curious as to what does service mean
to both of you all.
Speaker 7 (08:14):
For me, I feel like any chance I have to
connect and share, and that's not in a way planned moment.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
I think sort of similar to Gabby.
Speaker 7 (08:25):
When we first started out in New York City, I
was so frustrated that not everybody knew about yoga because
a lot of people felt and still feel like if
they can't touch their toes, they can't do it, or
if it conflicts with some idea that they have about life,
they can't do it. So I would go around and
just be standing next to somebody waiting for the light
(08:45):
to change, and not ask that person if they knew yoga,
but ask, hey, what's wrong anything going wrong today? How's
your back going, how's your life going, how's your headache going?
And people would open up to me for some weird
reason and say, I have a headache, I have this
going on.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
So we do a little little tiny yoga practice or whatever.
Speaker 7 (09:04):
And that was I think the beginning of where I
felt like I can actually make a difference with this
little bit of something that I have.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
And over the years, meeting.
Speaker 7 (09:13):
More people, I'd get opportunities to work with an amazing
organization called the Alliance for a healthier generation. So they
are plugged into ninety thousand schools all around America, and
I get to just come in and meet the girls
and boys club and the after school clubs and give
them all the tools.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
That I know and just show up in ways. And
I mean, you all know you created the blueprint for this.
Speaker 7 (09:37):
The more you ask where you can help, the more
opportunities show up.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
And I love that.
Speaker 7 (09:44):
I'm just in a position that I've kept my life
simple enough to open up as much time as possible
to be able to show up to those opportunities and
to be able to get on a plane and go
somewhere if somebody asked to show up for their class,
or the teachers that need some support as schools that
can do something in the gym, you know, on Friday
night or something like that, or it can send some
(10:05):
resources or some books or something. And I feel like,
like you all, there's always an opportunity to help and
to serve, and whether it's with your friends and family
or neighbor And you can do that in a small town,
a small town where I grew up, and you can
do that in a big city or wherever you are.
And I just I think it's the best feeling. I mean,
you all know, whenever you help somebody, they feel better,
(10:28):
they get service, they get help, but it helps you
at least. That's the feeling. I think that's such a
universal feeling. You feel so full when you're able to
just give a little bit help, a little bit to
someone else.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Here's a bonus with that. Not only does that person
get help, you get help. And if you just witness
an act of kindness or service, just by witnessing it,
you get help. Can you imagine the ramifications as we're
out just being agents of service in the world.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
I love the quote repeat back, so all of our
listeners and viewers grab that. The more that you ask
where you can help, the more opportunities show up.
