Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice Shot. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm
your host, Rob Shooter. It is Monday, which means our
friend Garrett Vogel from C One is with us. Garretts,
are you there, Hello, Rob Shooter? How is the Super
Bowl for you? Because I know you're a big sports guy.

(00:28):
You did your team win last night? You know it
took me twenty minutes to figure out there were two teams.
I thought it was so confusing, honestly, humanly, just for
a moment. It's the most confusing game. I couldn't quite
figure out the rules. He's all that pushing and shoving
a loud. I was quite surprised. Yeah, you know, if
if you're not a football fan, yes, watching it, you know,

(00:49):
seriously for the first time can be very confusing. So
one day you and I will sit down, we'll have
a few beers, and I'll explain the whole thing, and
then in hearn you can explain the whole history of
Real Housewives to me, and I think it will be
a fair trade off and we'll learn a lot from
good friends. Although I do think your game goes on
longer than My Housewives. It went on for hours and hours.

(01:11):
It was like the Oscars. I did get into it.
I did get into it. I also liked it to
very confused when they kept throwing this adorable little yellow
flag onto the field. Oh yeah, that's done something bad.
We need this in life, Rob, shoot this. We need
something like this in life. When we see something we
don't like or something goes wrong. You should have the

(01:32):
ability to just go into your pocket or purse and
pull out a yellow flag and throw it up and
say that is not allowed. Penalty you you owe me
a few dollars or please go to it. So funny,
I'm gonna make us yellow flags and we can put
them in that person's or wrap pockets and we can
throw them out at Bottino's the next time. Donnie or
Delana is rude than never rude also too. Before we

(01:55):
get to the show, I got to talk about the weekend.
You're a music guy. You've been in the music business
for over a decade. Now, what did you think? What's
what's the music community saying? So it's no matter what
you could be. You know, you could be the Pope
and and pretty much do this super Bowl. J Lo
hasn't done the super Bowl very well and criticized, No,
you cannot please. This is the one thing I learned,

(02:17):
and we can apply this to everything in life. You
cannot please everybody. You try to find the most mass
appeal artist possibly and how can you argue the Weekend
had the biggest song of the year. Everyone realized that
maybe except the Grammys. Uh So, he pretty much and
plus in a year of inclusivity, uh you wanted to
find someone who pretty much just touched all the bases

(02:40):
and not just the seventy five year old white guy
at home. Uh So, for what it was, I thought
it was very well done. Everybody's complaining you haven't seen
live music now in what almost a year? N under
the second week can it was wild? Because also to

(03:01):
add on top of this, we are in a pandemic.
I thought they pulled it off beautifully. Is it as
exciting as j Lo and Shakira, those Latino divas shaking
everything they've got? Probably not as theatrical, but the guy
can certainly sing and he dances, and you know what,
it is a lot of people this happened with Bruno

(03:22):
Mars A lot. You heard Bruno Mars was doing the
Super Bowl halftime show, and you go I don't know
a lot of songs. And then you sit down and
you watch it because you know, as much as you
want to say, I'm not watching this, you watch it.
Let's be real with yourself here, and then you go, oh,
I know more than two songs, five songs. I think, oh,

(03:42):
I know, I know the entire the entire thing. I
think we expect too much. We want them to fly
out of the stadium. We want we want not to
be so crazy. But just the dog already did it.
Gaga dropped from the top of the stadium one year.
That was it. He can't really helicopter. So I think
it was really good quick question for you that before
we quickly get to the show. I promise we will
get to some gossips. Do the teams do they get

(04:05):
to watch the halftime show? Are they busy backstage in
the dress? See it depends normally that that what they
call halftime is like fifty intermission, Yes, exactly, Well, it's
pretty much the same thing. You know, you go to
the bathroom, you get up, you talk. Um is usually
about fifteen twenty minutes during the Super Bowl, though it's
close to forty minutes, so so a lot of people

(04:26):
say that they get their you know meeting, you know,
their halftime meeting, their intermission meeting done, and then they
just wait by the tunnel where they run out, and
they watched like towards the end of it. So but
this year again interesting because they really weren't on the
field as much, so they didn't have much to take down.
So were they ready? Who knows, but you know, maybe

(04:47):
maybe the Kansas City Chiefs spent a little bit too
much time watching the weekend as opposed to the Bucks
who were who you know, ended up winning the Super Bowl.
That's yet to be argued. But yeah, no, some players
definitely do watch it, especially the ones that aren't in
the game as much. So there, you know, gives them
something to do. But I get you, Hey, my friend,
what time is it? It is time some good tea,

(05:10):
rice tea right at the front. So there's this wild
new documentary. It's by the New York Times, which is
quite surprising that they get into this tabloid gossipy world.
It's called Framing Britney Spears, and it really really focuses
on her life. It's only seventy five minutes. It's worth watching.
But there's certain things that are said in this documentary
that today has Brittany fans demanding that Justin Timberlake owes

(05:34):
her an apology. Remember when they broke up? I think
it was back in two thousand and three, Diane Sawyer
did an interview with Brittany and she really asked her
some sharp questions, saying the following quote, you broke his heart,
You did something that caused him so much pain, so
much suffering. What did you do? Brittany sort of fumbled
the answer here, she was still very young, and she said,

(05:55):
there's two sides of a story. Technically Justin's not wrong,
but technically he's not right either. Nine fans there demanding
that Justin owes her an apologies. Did you watch this documentary? Yes,
Rob Shooter, and this is the case of you know,
Britney Spears has very passionate fans, and rightfully so, just
as many artists do. But to say, you know, Justin

(06:16):
for for what? Though? Again, it's like Britney said, even
though there's two such this story, you and I both
know there's three. There's there's there's there's hers and then
the truth, you know, so a little little mix of both.
But of course Britney fans jumped to like, Nope, Justin
O's an apology, Justin got Justin got trolled this weekend.
Justin Timberlake got trolled this weekend too, where Janet Jackson

(06:37):
fans say, I can't believe Justin Justin Timberlake was a
part of ruining two of the biggest pop careers ever.
Janet Jackson and Britney spears like Justin literally sitting at
home doing nothing right now and people right exactly? Is
that timing though for Justin having two on the same
weekend certainly doesn't help. What do you think overall? More sad,

(06:58):
you know, more sad for Britney's beers in general, just
like almost as if she was Pinocchio, the best, the
best way to do it. What it didn't make me
realize was maybe we thought that Brittany's dad was was
doing it for the right reasons before watching this documentary,
and then you question, maybe he's not. And where is

(07:18):
Brittany's mom. What's Brittany's mom do? Like you and I
both grew up with with families that that cared about
us and not about you know, if we were multimillionaires
or successful, but they wanted to make sure we were
going down the right path. They directed us that way.
I don't think Brittany got that in our household up.

(07:39):
I think you should. Honestly, it's fascinating to see. I've
always I worked with Brittany for a little bit. She
was a client had a big pr agency I worked at,
and although she wasn't my personal clients, I was around
Susan that ran the accounts a lot, and I met
her several times. It's well, it's just so sad. Even
parents that have lots of love and want to do
the best thing for their children, they don't have the

(07:59):
skill to manage somebody like that. My mom and dad
love me, Hello mom and dad, Hello, No, but they
don't have the skills my mom and dad to manage
a multimillion dollar international pop star, neither of which I am.
But if I was, they they don't have those skills.
It's a very tricky one, which brings us to our
pole question of the day. Britney's fans wants justinto apologize.

(08:22):
Do you agree, yes or no? Go verte on our
Twitter page at Naughty Nice Raber facebook page is Naughty
Go and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear
your results. Garrett Love, what are you working on? Alright?
So we thought this couple was just like, Okay, it's
a cute wootsie, you know, a little flame here at
the beginning of the year. Yeah, like you and me. Right,
we've been lasting many of the years. We've left a

(08:44):
lot longer than this couple right here. But Olivia Wild
Harry styles they're actually getting very serious. So you know,
it's it's not just like a movie fling. It's not
just attention. Um. So insiders are saying that, like, they're
closer than we expect. You know, they met at the
a couple of months ago while you're still filming a
movie out in l A. Don't worry darling, and uh,

(09:06):
you know they're they're closer than we thought. You know
it it wasn't a fling from one. We know Harry
loves older women, but they seem to have connected on
many of levels. What we don't know. All we know
is friends are saying, yeah, no, they're they're pretty serious.
And it's kind of interesting because it's it's we wanted

(09:27):
to feel like it's like, no, that's just fake, but
it actually is real. Right, Yeah, I feel like we're
almost roots and against this couple, which is quite yeah, exactly.
It feels weird because we like Jason Sadekas so much
we feel bad for him. My initial reporting about this
was that she was more into him than he was
into her. But now that looks like it has changed.
It's evolved in that People magazine and dis Weekly are

(09:50):
reporting both of them are really into each other. The
big the big test for this relationship will be they're
still working together, so they're still making that movie. Once
the movie is and he goes on tour. He's an
international artist. He'll go all around the world after the pandemic.
Is she going to go with him? Is she going
to take these two kids? Serious? Hey, best of luck.

(10:11):
So I'm not terribly familiar with Christina Anstead, but people
love her. She's from that show Flip or Flop, I
Love Love or Listed? Is it on HG TV? So
I'm Hay Girl TV. Karen got lost on Saturday. You
do you can let me tell you you don't think
you could sit down and watch a show about throw

(10:32):
pillows and and get like, like I said, a show
about throw pillows. Then then you're in five episodes and
you're like, I just watched five episodes about throw pillows.
That's that's what each TV does. A friend by Brian Balfazzar,
who's being a host on this show many times, a
dear friend of mine. He was a producer for them,
and now he's got his own show one HDTV, like

(10:53):
an Andy ko In type after show where he interviews
the celebrities. Check him out if you can. He's adorable. Hi, Brian, Hello,
it's to Christina. So Christina put up a picture of
herself and she got body shame for being too thin.
You can't win, can you? So she said, no, you
can't look too thin or asking what I eat, but
this is actually what I weigh. Like she's just had
a baby, so she said she's back to her original weight.

(11:14):
That's her words. So don't worry. Everything's fine. Do we
focus too much on people's weight? We just focus too
much on people like in general, you know what I mean,
like for people to be sitting at home scrolling on
their phones or listening to the podcast like this one,
thank you very much, and and then go you know
what I am? So I just I need to get

(11:36):
something out and then to go on social media and
tell someone their their thoughts about what they feel about
their life. You are you can obviously tell. I'm speaking
from experience. Rock Shooter. It happened last night. Um So
last night for the Super Bowl. My my wife Ali said,

(11:56):
you know what, I saw, this beautiful, this awesome fun
meal we can make where you put out cellophane over
the kitchen table. Then you you spread out nachos, you
put like a nacho bar, and then you drip cheese
literally over your kitchen table and you have pretty much
have nachos and you can eat as you go. It's
it's super fun. It was super fun. So posted a
nice little cutesie picture. People love it. Then someone goes,

(12:19):
oh please, that's just reeks of COVID, and I'm like,
are you are you serious? Exactly? It was me, my
wife and my two kids, like me with those kids.
But that's what I'm saying. People find like they're upset
with themselves that they need to take it out on you.
And and people that are, you know, skinny, saying you're

(12:40):
too skinny, look at you, get no riles up, don't
mess sorry, so they'll get to my nachos. Don't touch
my niz a couple of things. I love you and
all mate little dinners together. It's so adorable you too,
just the cutest couple. You just so thank you. This
is why you are so good to get because you're
the same person. You're as adorable as that too. You're

(13:02):
always thinking of cute, kind things to do and also
to I've got to tell you so, I live in
Chelsea in New York City, which is a very gay area.
I think there's no way around that, and there's nothing
you know, I'm quite proud of it. There's a lot
of gay men that live in my building. Cert But
but it's not like when you moved in, You're like,
I need to move into a gay area, you know
what I mean. You didn't ask the real estate agent

(13:22):
to find the gay area of New York's shop and
I want to live next door to it. Pretty gay building.
Although we do have Debbie Harry in here from London.
I don't know that's pretty gay too fabulous. Well, for
a while, Bridget moynihan lived here, who has Tom Brady
his son and even year old son. So she used
to live here. So Tom used to come to the

(13:43):
building to visit Bridget. Now one of my doormen. Hello, Louise.
Louise is a heterosexual. Now, Louise was very excited that
Tom Brady's first child could have been conceived in this building.
I said, Louise, that's that's fair them right there, sell
my apartment. Forget saying it's got a nice bathroom or

(14:03):
review are the Empire State Building? I should say this
is the building where King Tom Brady conceived his first child. Okay,
moving along, we're running out of time. What's going on
with the Bachelorette? Tread carefully here? All right, you're good
with spoilers, but let's give everybody a warning. So if
if you're a fan of The Bachelorette or just Reality Steve,
if you're not familiar, he pretty much just he's like

(14:25):
an insider of all realities on the show. I'm convinced
a bachelor. I'm convinced he's really a production agent, Like right,
it really is Chris Harrison under the alias of Reality Steve.
But he is giving us the the new possible Bachelorette
that's going to be announced. Um, so if you're if

(14:46):
you want, this is the point of the podcast where
you could skip ahead like five seconds, you know, that
button where you could skip ahead like five kind of seconds. Well, yeah,
you do a look at that, So now you don't
have to go through this this spoiler. No exactly, I'm
not getting and you never know, Katie Thurston, it will
be a badass Bachelorette now. So she's the only contestant

(15:08):
we've seen that was able to lead and tell the
bachelor how bad and how toxic the house was without
being kicked off. Because normally when you when you like
run to teacher and you're like, listen, these women are
you know, big beanes and and then the bachelor. Yeah,
and the Bachelor goes you know it, I gotta let
you go now and then exactly. So, yeah, I had

(15:33):
that like deja vu moment when you said that as
if I was watching the Bachelorette when you're like, I
was just trying to help you. Um, this happens in
office that in your place of work, when you see something,
should you say something? Could just keep your mouth shut
because they always shoot the messenger. Oh yeah, no, ad percent,
Like I've never seen a messenger go you know what.
I delivered that message and nothing happened exactly, So we're

(15:56):
going to hear about this right after the after the
final rose, Chris Harrison is going to announce it. I'm
not saying run to Vegas or Atlantic City and put
all your money on this, but there's a good chance
that could happen. And you know these are where the
odds are favored. Right now for our next bathroom quickly
before we go to break, Prince Harry has been spotty.
If it looks like he's filming Carpool carry okay with

(16:18):
James Cordon, that's what I heard about. What could they
be doing with Decca bus in Hollywood? That a police escort,
lots of cameras. It's definitely Harry. I think they're doing
a British version of Carpool Carryoke where I actually think.
I don't think Harry singing. Can imagine if he's sang
God Save the Queen, what that's his greatest hit. It's
a big hit. He's got no other hits. No, you know,

(16:41):
he's he's going to do a bunch of like the
one direction Harry styles. He maybe maybe he's going to
do something I don't know. I hope he does. I
think he's gonna do some Cardi B like I see
I see James Cordon getting that out. James was shown
him around l A We're going to take a quick break.
We're not throwing any of those adorable little yellow flags
just yet. We might become back, will be and welcome

(17:05):
back to the Monomania. I'm Rob Shooter with my friend
Garrett Vogel Garretts. Let's get to the polls that the dark.
On Friday show, we talked about Andy Cohen being at
the top of the list to replace Ryan Seacrest on
He's Red Carpets. Would Andy be a good choice? Yes
or no? Sixty percent of you said yes, you you
like the idea of Andy. What do you think I
could see it? Maybe this is Andy's time. You know,

(17:25):
we've he goes from you know, just making sure housewives
don't throw tables at each other to do now like
interviewing literally the Hollywood elite of the world. So you know,
maybe maybe it's his time. He's he's he's friends with
Anderson Cooper. He knows how to conduct interviews, and he
knows how to get the best out of people, and
you know, maybe it's maybe it's his time. What do

(17:46):
you think he would be great at this? I think
and he Also, he's also friends with Ryan Seacrest. He
can do live TV on those carpets two. It's all
about being noticed and even if you don't like him,
all the celebrities and more importantly, the publicists know who
Andy Cohen is, so they will stop. Hey, don't forget
to vote on today's poll to my Twitter page and
naughty nice wrong. My Facebook page is naughty Gossippi. To
check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's

(18:09):
time for our nicest of the day. Yes. So, if
you watched snl over the weekend Rob Shooter, you you
saw from Ship's Creek Dan Levy and uh, it's kind
of interesting. So he's not making the headlines. It's his mom.
Because his mom put out a note on social media
going this goes out to all the bully punks at
Camp uh W t F who wrote Life's Miserable for

(18:33):
a certain cabin mate back in the summer of ninety
six just because he was different. And this is what
Dan's mom wrote. And then, well, after all those years,
I just have seven words to say to you. Live
from New York. It's Saturday night, meaning her son is
literally hosting, literally going from being bullied at summer camp
to hosting SNL. So it was one of those proud

(18:56):
parent moments of like you overcome. And I think we
all can agree being a kid is harder than we
think as much as an adults were like, oh, as
a kid, you don't have to worry about paying taxes
and doing laundry. The the mental anguish at times is
the most difficult for kids. So for for for a
win like this. Credit to Dan Leavey's mom, credit to Dan,

(19:18):
credit to the whole family. It was. It was a
very good episode, but this note really brought He responded
to his mommy's streets mom, listen, We've developed a sort
of a young following out there because we don't swear,
we never use bad language on this show. A lot
of parents have let their children listen to this show,
and I'm very grateful for that. So I'm starting to
get a few notes from very young people, which I

(19:41):
love getting. It does get better. We all feel different,
and I promise you the more different you feel, the
more successful you're going to become. And now I'm not
Yester Theday nought Morgan. I wouldn't even say naughty, just
just wrong, just yeah, I'm not a on a fan
at all. Morgan Wallen, who's a big country star, was

(20:05):
caught on tape using a racial slur. After the tape
was released, his album and stream sales spiked. They went
up about sixty percent. We're not even going to get
into that. Let's do a moment of rob. You gotta rob,
you gotta rob. You get so, the more you practice,
the easier it becomes. The more you practice, the easier

(20:27):
it becomes. To start practicing being kind. I know, simple,
that's simple. You know, if you don't want to practice
your violin or your trumpet or your piano, I get it.
It's annoying. But you've got to practice being kind. You've
got to practice it every single day until it becomes
a habit. And then when it is a habit, don't
lose focus. Every day when you're brushing your teeth, practice
being kind. Look at yourself in the mirror and say

(20:48):
one kind thing. That's how we're all going to start
our days by being kind to ourselves. Hey, Garrett ran
out of time. You always make us feel very kind
and lucky to have you buy too quick, almost too
really quick. That's a good sign. Though some of these podcasts,
not ours. I started to listen to other people just
to make sure that we're doing it right. Although you
know what, I think we shouldn't follow anybody. Let's just

(21:10):
do it our own way. But I did listen to us,
and you know what I want to do, Rob Shooter,
I want to say hi to you because as you're
listening to this right now, you're you're walking around New
York City listening, listening back. So Hello, Rob Shooter, I
hope you're having a great walk for you. Thank you
