Speaker 1 (00:12):
It's a live love Hello, welcome to the Naughty but
Nic Show. I'm your house Romp Shooter, and it is Tuesday,
which means our dear friend Delana Dixon, who's wearing your
very very dapper purple hat, is joining us. Hey, mister,
are you there?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I am. It's cold in New York City, so I
have on a little extra layer over my well.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
You got your your beautiful girl wig on what what's
the name of that week this morning? She's cute.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh, her name is Nellie.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
A little hat to on top. Oh, darling, you look fabulous. Okay,
we've got to jump in the show because there's just
so much today, so much breaking news, royal news, a
tragic story too. So what time is it? My friends?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
It is time time.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
So I'm gonna go a little bit off script here, Misty,
because overnight country singer Toby Keith passed away at sixty
two years old. He's been battling stomach cancer for a
long time now. So the singer died Monday night surrounded
by family. That's a good thing, surrounded by family, According
to an official statement they put out on social media,

(01:18):
I mean we knew about it, Misty. I'm trying to
get my head around this. He's been so honest. He
revealed his diagnosis in twenty twenty one. He talked about
chemo radiation surgery. So I think we knew this day
was coming, but it's still just so sad.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yes, when I saw the news, what struck me so
much as his age. It's only sixty two years old,
which is just so young. It really is, like you said,
he's been telling us about what he's been going through.
We all knew this day would happen, but it's always
still so sad. So our heart goes out to us,

(01:57):
his fans, his family, his friends.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, yeah, he was surrounded by his family. Do you
know he has four grandchildren, three children, four grandchildren, his wife.
Oh this one. And I was not necessarily a fan
of his music. It was very patriotic songs. He'd sold
about forty million albums. Did you know Before his successful

(02:21):
music career took off in the nineties, he worked on
the oil fields in Oklahoma and then was a semi
pro American football player, A big, handsome, solid guy. And
that's another thing. You don't think people that look like
him are vulnerable, and we're all vulnerable. As we're finding
guy from now from King Charles. If King Charles, if

(02:42):
the King literally the King can get cancer, any of
us can rest in peace, rest in power. Toby Keith. Okay,
let's continue with the show with some more news. So
Prince Harry, we've just found out, is en route to London.
He's rushing to the UK Misty to be with his

(03:02):
his father, King Charles. He left Los Angeles last night.
Now he's believed to arrive mister in London today around noon.
It's a really long flight from LA to London. We
saw him in a range Rover being dropped off at
the VIP terminal at Lax. Of course Los Angeles has
a VIP terminal, but he was dropped off there. Meghan

(03:25):
was not with him, neither were the children, Archie or Lillabet.
So he's going by himself. I'm told he this is serious.
He wants to be there. He's been on the phone
with his dad. And if there's any silver lining to this,
and I'm not sure whre there is, fingers crossed, but
if there is, it's the possibility that they could make amends.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
What do you think, It's like I've always said, family
is everything, and this is why I've been pushing that
they need to have some kind of resolution and conversation,
because you never know your father's of a certain age,
you never know what could happen. I'm so glad he's
going to his father's side, and I just want to
stop the Megan haters before they say something. To find

(04:03):
out this news and suddenly have to bring up two
small children and put them on a plane, it takes
more than twenty four hours, so she may not be
there now, but that doesn't mean she's not going. It
just takes time. Our granny is going to watch the
kids in America while she goes. Is she going to
bring them with her? That takes a good forty eight
hours to make that decision. So absolutely, give her a break. Everyone,

(04:24):
give her a break.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Give her a break, everybody. And it's not just the logistics,
it's the security in Britain. She needs security. She needs
to hear in America too. So my reporting yesterday was
that she was competemplating going. There was some discussions about going,
obviously there was the two of them discussed this and
in the end it was decided it just wasn't possible
and it would have delayed Harry. If Harry had waited

(04:48):
for all these logistics, he wouldn't have rushed over. But
I think you're so smart, Misty, because my inside is
my Megan and Harry inside, as are saying. If things
take a turn for the worst, let's hope they don't,
she'll jump on a plane, her mum will come over
and take the kids and she will go. But at
the minute, things are not dire. He's still working. If
he was really sick, he would be in the hospital.

(05:09):
He's not. He's at Clarence House. We saw the Princess
Eugenie visit him this morning with her husband, and so
we know he's at Clarence House. The family is rallying.
I'm told when Harry lands, he's going to be rushed
immediately to Clarence House to see his dad. I hope
William's there, I really do. And Kate. Kate's recovering too,
so I don't know if Kate can be part of

(05:30):
all this. It's so complicated. You know what, though, when
this family drama happens, this gives you all an opportunity,
a golden opportunity, to all realize just how much you
mean to one another. I was talking to my mommy
this morning and I'm going back to London tonight. Misty,
I'm flying into London tonight, so I'm heading to London tonight.
Don't worry Noughti's I'm going to try and do the show.

(05:52):
So Donnie and I are going to record a show
for tomorrow, so don't worry about that. And then on
Thursday and Friday, I'm going to do the Naughty but
Nice Show from London. I know it might be technically difficult,
and you know your friend Rubshooters not good with the
technical stuff, but I'm going to try and do it
from London. I'll have all the up to date royal
reporting over the next couple of days. But I do

(06:14):
think that this can give the whole nation, if not
the world, a moment to reflect on Charles. I spoke
to many of my British friends and they said, because
his mom was such a legend, she was the queen,
and she was the queen for so long, we sort
of never really gave Charles a chance or the same respect.
And when she passed away and Charles became the king,

(06:35):
we all rolled our eyes. I know, some of us,
you know he's a very nice man, but nobody had
those feelings towards him, not the same feelings that we
had towards his mummy. Now it's given us pause, mister,
and everybody in Brittany is saying, you know what, he's
not such a bad man. He really is very, very loyal.
He's a smart man. He's a thoughtful man. He's not flashy,

(06:56):
he's not a show pony. But he's a good man.
And it almost these little awful moments in life mystery
to remind everybody who we are there might be some
good out of this.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
What do you think you've said so much?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Rob?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
But I will say, at this moment you got to
put the royal life aside and just think about family.
This is about dealing with your father's health. So yes,
both sons need to put whatever animosity they have aside
from one another and just concentrate on their father's health.
Like you said, he's still working, so we know, okay,
there was a diagnosis. It's also important a lesson learned,

(07:32):
and I'm sure he will talk about this to making
sure that you get checked regularly. He was going for
a different checkup and found out about this. So hopefully
they've caught it early. It can be dealt with, but
it's time to put royal life aside for a minute
and concentrate on health and family. And I wish him
nothing but the best. And again, just like you said,
I hope it brings everyone closer, the whole country closer.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, you know, you've had a real big impact on
the Misty family means so much to you. It does
to me, but I don't express it and I don't
show it nearly enough. It's in my heart, it's just
not in my mouth, and I've got a mouth. I know.
I love to talk, but I don't tell my family
that I love them enough. I don't. And so part
of the reason that I'm going to London is not

(08:15):
just because of King Charles. It's my mom and dad's
birthday on Sunday. I know she's My mom's going to
be eighty seven, my dad's My dad's going to be
eighty seven. Excuse me, my mom's going to be eighty eight.
They were born on the same day, one year apart.
Isn't that great? But I wasn't going to go, and
then I thought of you, Mistery, and I thought of

(08:37):
all the trips you make to Georgia or how many
times your mommy comes up to New York City? And
I said, do it. You know it's expensive, but would
I rather have a couple of thousand dollars in my
bank account or would I rather have thousands of memoriess
that I'm going to make in Britain? And so no,
I'm definitely going to go. And thank you mister for
helping me realize family is really really important, which brings

(09:01):
us to our whole question of the day. Meghan Markle
was contemplating going to London. Now he knows she's not.
Our questions quite simple. Should she go? Should she have gone?
Mister gave us a very very valid reason here, So
listen to miss but what do you think should Meghan
have gone? And the reason I'm asking this is not
to put Meghan down. She's fantastic, Harry is fantastic. But

(09:22):
I do know that Harry's work walking into a really
hostile environment, Misty. I wouldn't necessarily go for Charles. I'd
go for my husband. I'd say I don't want to.
They can be mean, these royals can be the press
can be mean, the family can be mean. I hate
the thought of Harry walking into this palace, this big,
cold palace, and everybody, you know, all the butlers and

(09:43):
the servants and the staff, they're all going to wrinkle
their nose like they're not that kind to Harry. So listen,
if you work inside Buckingham Palace or Clarence House or
winter Castle, listen to Rob today. Be nice to Harry.
Everybody be nice. This is difficult to know. Hey, go
vote on our Twitter page at Naughty nine Rob. A
facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check

(10:04):
back tomorrow to hear your results. Okay, mister, more family drama.
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yeah, so everybody's wondering what's going on with Miley Cyrus
and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, because she won her
first Grammy on Sunday night, and she gave an acceptance
speech and thanked pretty much a lot of people except
for her dad. So, you know, she thanked her her mom, Trish,

(10:30):
she thanked her sister, you know, called out Brandy, and
she made a lighthearted remark. She made a light hearted
remark about changing outfits and maybe not wearing any underwere
But the fact that she didn't bring up her father's
name is getting people to wonder whether there's some kind
of family feud brewing. Rob. I always know you know

(10:50):
what's going on, So what's your take.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
There's trouble there, like when you don't thank somebody, when
you exclude one person from a speech, from a thank
you note, it's because of drama. It's very rare that
it happens on accident, and if it is an accident,
it's subconscious somebody's done something to annoy you. I can't
imagine getting an award and not thank him, Bruce, unless
you'd upset me that day, and he might have, and
so he's always something going on. I would never thank

(11:14):
people for a podcast award, if ever we got one,
mystery and not thank you. And so I think sometimes
people it's what they don't say that tells you everything.
And we've been doing this for a long time. We're
great gossip columnsts, we're great reporters. People tell me a lot,
and thank you for that, you've kept me in a
good living for many, many years. But also thank you
for not saying stuff, because it's the stuff you don't

(11:35):
say that actually might be more important. Mister, you could
keep a secret. You don't tell anything.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Oh, no, I know where the bodies are buried, and
I am not giving directions how to get there. But yes,
I mean, of course Miley and her father, they've gone
up and down throughout the years. So again, maybe she
meant to thank him, but at that moment just didn't
come to mind. But I hope if they do have issues,

(12:03):
they can sit down and figure it out and talk,
because as we can see, family is precious and life
can be short.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Life can be short. Oh Misty, we're the family show today. Okay,
another family story too. Jay Z, when he accepted his
big honor, his Doctor Dre Global Impact Award at the Grammy's,
pointed out that Beyonce had been snubbed for Album of
the Year. Now, she has won more Grammars than anybody.
I think she has thirty two Grammys, and he's pointing out,

(12:32):
how can you win more Grammars than anybody but not
get the top prize, which is Album off the Year. Now,
other people are pushing back in the music business to day,
and it's such an interesting discussion. Mystake, Can you dare you?
Can you express the fact that you didn't get one
that you wanted? Or does this just look like being ingredy. Now,
I remember Beyonce didn't say this, She would never ever

(12:52):
complain her husband did this, And I think I get
what you're doing, Jay, and I know it's from love,
but I actually don't think this helps.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Maybe this wasn't the place to say it. It was
your award. You were getting awarded for all the things
you do. But look, men stand up for their women,
and what a bigger platform to stand up for. And
I certainly don't want to get into race here, but
I think the underlying theme is why is it that Beyonce,
who happens to be a woman of color, hasn't won

(13:21):
for Album of the Year. And there's been a lot
of talk about the Grammy's not recognizing black performers as
much as they need to.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Now.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I know there's a million categories where they've been awarded.
I know Whitney Houston one Album of the Year in
the past, but Beyonce is iconic, just like Taylor Swift,
and congratulations on having the most album of the Year
wins of all time. No one should take that away
from her. But I think that's what Jay was trying
to make a statement about, even though he did not

(13:50):
say that.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, he sort of fumbled it, and it's unusual for him.
He's normally so clearly on message. She is, or if
she'd done the speech, it would have been perfect, like
she stays on message, but it was a clumsy way
of I think showing love and also pointing out some hypocrisies.
You're right, Historically the Grammys have not been kind to
people of color or women. Let's be clear. A couple
of years ago, remember there were no women that were

(14:11):
nominated or what it was crazy. They fixed that, But
now it is a big question and I think bigger
picture here award shows. What do we really think of
these award shows? Because they're always going to be a
winmen and loser. And I think, you know i'd be
I don't win very much, and so I'd be honored
just to the nominated mystery. I mean, if I had
thirty two of something, I'm not sure i'd have the

(14:33):
hudspa to ask for thirty three.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Well, I'm sure that both Beyonce and Taylor will go
on to win many more Grammys and break many more awards,
but I guess that's their business. And just like we
like to be recognized for the hard work we put
into our business. They feel the same way, and for
some reason, a lot of black and all sorts of
performers have talked about how upsetting it is, even though

(14:59):
it's just an award, But it means that their work
was recognized. So we'll give them that. But don't worry.
Both those girls made over a billion dollars last year
and they're both happy.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
They both got fine. I know Bruce won the Grammy
Award for Copacabana with Barry Manilowe. I know. Next time
you're over here, Missy, I'll I'll let you take a
picture with it. I don't actually know where it is, No,
I think it's in the living room. I'm terrible. I'm
the worst husband. Okay, we're going to take a quick
break while I go and look for Bruce's Grammy and
we will be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty

(15:29):
but Nice Show. I found it, Misty. It's on the piano. Terrible.
I'm terrible. When I first moved in with Bruce, I
had like barely won a swimming badge, Like I just
had one. Nothing, And I've got to be honest, in
the last thirty years, I've not won much more but
when I walked in, I went into the den and
one wall, this large war was just covered in gold records,
so many of them, I know, and you know what

(15:51):
I did. It's terrible. I'm going to admit this naughty.
You're gonna be furious. I said, why don't you pick
your favorite of the fifty gold records on the wall?
Why don't you pick your favorite one and we can
sort of put all the others under the piano. And
to his credit, he did it. I got now I
feel terrible.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
You need to go put those back up. Come on,
it's it's called a feature wall, and why not feature
how incredibly amazingly talented he is? And he is a
good good man. You got a good monster.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I'm an appsolute monster, is what I am. Or is
terrible Because the show is running a little bit longer
because of all the royal news today, we're going to
get straight to a nicest of the day.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Well, our nicest of the day is Sunny Houston. She's
actually standing up for Taylor Swift, who's being called out
for a guffaw at the Grammys. Obviously she won her
Album of the Year fourth you know, most of all time,
but she did not recognize the person who gave her
the Grammy, which was Celine Dion, who has not been
seen on stage for years because she was diagnosed with

(16:53):
a with a with a very serious illness. So people
started calling out Taylor saying, oh my goodness, you know,
why didn't you think Selene Dion. So Sonny is saying, like,
you know, I know there's controversy. People are saying Taylor
Swift didn't give Dion her flowers. That was Taylor's moment,

(17:13):
and she said that Taylor had just broken the record
in her mind was probably on the fact that she
was in the moment, so you know, give her, give
her a break. And in this case, I think I
have to agree. It would have been great as she
had said, oh my goodness, the wonderful and amazing Celene Dion.
But I'm sure she said thank you when she took it.
We just didn't see her back was turned.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Yeah, it was oh, you know, me and Bruce disagree
about this actually. So we're watching the Grammars together and
when Taylor got up and she didn't acknowledge Selene, Bruce
is like, say hello to Selene, and I was like,
she's so caught up in the moment. She's so emotional.
She didn't expect to win that award. She really didn't,
and so I think that she wanted to thank the
people that made the record, all these people standing next
to her. Could if she turned to Selene and said,

(17:54):
oh my gosh, it's Selene Dionne. How are you? I
love you? Yes, she could have. I think it was
a faux pas. I think Taylor would admit that this
is a mistake. She didn't mean any any disrespect, but
it wasn't a great move to do this. But backstage
they took pictures together and you watch. I'm told by
my Taylor sources, she will make this right. I suspect
had a Taylor Smifth concert, she might sing a Selene's

(18:17):
hung I suspect now Selene is recovering herself, so her
health is a little iffy. Otherwise, I think she should
invite Selene upon stage to do a duet. But I
don't think they can do that. But I bet on
those huge video screams behind Taylor, she can flash up
a fabulous picture of miss Selene dion and nice is
the day now? And notty? Is that the day? Naughty? Naughty,
naughty fans are speculating that Taylor's new album is a

(18:40):
savage nod to her ex Joe Aldwyn. So, Joe Aldren
had a hilarious little group chat on his phone with
all his friends and they called it the Tortured Men's Club. Well,
now Taylor's new album is called The Tortured Poets Department.
M A little similar there. I hope this isn't the case,

(19:00):
because Taylor, You've got a nice new man, you were
in love. I know albums take a long time to make,
so she's been working on this for two years. So
this was before she met Travis. So maybe she did
have those feelings and they flooded out into her songs.
But the trouble is that you're in a different place
now than you were even six months ago, and so
I think it's time Taylor. I think, listen to me,

(19:21):
given Taylor swift advice, who'd ripe be going? But I
think it's time to focus on this new guy. Let
go of the past. I mean, I get it. We
love Taylor songs. There tell all songs where she gossips away.
But I think now now it's particularly if Travis is
the one stop talking about your ex stop it, stop
it and autist of the day. Let's end with a
moment of We talk a lot on the show about happiness,

(19:47):
and I've been thinking about what makes me happy, and
it's external factors that do not so. When I've often
struggled about wanting to be richer, wanting to be more successful,
wanting to be skinnier, wanting to lose that ten pounds.
When I've achieved it, I didn't get any more happy.
And the reason is because that isn't what makes you happy.

(20:09):
I've heard this said and I never understood it too recently.
Happiness is an inside job. It's gotta come from within.
So you get to decide when you're gonna be happy.
You can't wait for external factors, So decide today, this minute,
you are going to be happy. Think of it now.
Think of it like a light switch. Flip the switch

(20:29):
right now. I see you're doing it, mister there, Now
you're happy. That easy. Be happy. You guys make me
so happy. Thank you so much for listening to The
Naughty but Nice with Robert mist Show, a production of
iHeartRadio Don't Forget a subscrit him on the iHeartRadio Apple
podcast wherever you listen, leave us a review if you can,
and wish me luck. In London, Misty technology works over there.
I had to buy an adapter because they're on a

(20:50):
different frequency and the power. Oh wish me Look, I'm
sort of nervous. You know what, Then if we fall
apart Noughti's Misty, We'll pick up, pick up the bat
on and let's with a tagline because today we really
mean it. If you're going to Naught, you got nice.
Take care everybody by SA Troubles.
