Speaker 1 (00:09):
Advice. It's no I welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show.
I'm your host, Rob Shooter, and it's Wednesday, which means
our dear friend Donnie Meacham joins us. Hey, Donnie, are
you there? Hello?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Hello Wednesday? Wednesday, Wednesday, my favorite day of the week.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Wheel of Wednesdays. You make me laugh. You make me
laugh particularly loud today because you're upside down. Do you
want to explain down? This computer is cool? Crazy?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I'm to do this computer. You know, computers have a
mind of the wrong. They do what they want. They
just kind of last week Mike, camera wasn't working at all.
This week camera's working. I just happened to be upside down.
But you know what, Roll with the pot.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
That's what we do here in the ninety mid night
Roll with the And we have to thank a place
that we both used to work that really taught us
how to get around technical issues before we had this
fabulous podcast. We met at the Derek and Remain studios.
They're friends of ours who have their own show. They're
on Serious Forever now. They have their own studio and
they were kind enough to give us a show there

(01:14):
and we learned how to work through quite a few
technical difficulties. Say no more. But do you think, yes,
that's where you do.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You just learned to rub. And the thing is is, look,
it's your business. But the thing is is in your business.
Mistakes happened. They it's happened. Life happens. They just go
with it in life as you stop it. You pointed out,
let's jump into the show.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
What time is it, my friends, it is at the
top of the show. So yesterday there was a huge
meltdown at the Diddy trial. One of his fans was
in the courtroom. Now, I've got to admit, my reporters
tell me that this person has been there multiple days
and appears to have some problems. A couple of days
ago they got into it with security guards outside the court.
Today they got in the court. It is open to

(01:59):
the public. If you're willing to get there at six
am in the morning, you can line up and get
a ticket. Well, this fan got in and before the
jury was in, Thank goodness, did he was there? Did
he was at the table? They started to scream and
shout and said did he The press are laughing at you.
They didn't say it in quite as nice way as
that but that's ultimately what they said. Did he looks
a little surprised about this man I used to work for?

(02:21):
Did he, so I know what's going through his mind?
On this show we reported that did He's quite disappointed
that not a lot of fans have shown up. I
think he thought there'd be thousands of people outside the
courthouse with banners done. He's screaming and shouting didn't really happen,
and so to have one fan inside causing a commotion.
He might have liked that. He might have liked all

(02:42):
that attention. However, what he did not like is when
this fan said, the press is laughing at you when
you laugh at a narcissist, Oh they can. Yeah. I
think it rattled him for the whole day. I don't
know if you heard about it. You couldn't see it,
but there's no cameras in the room. But I have
many many staff reporters friends of mine who were down there.

(03:03):
Is they said, this was a really wild way to
start the day. What do you think.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Well, here's the thing. I the whole thing about the
Diddy thing is I wouldn't want to go either, because
for me, it's just it's sad and it's ruining.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
You know.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I grew up listening to Didy and listening to a
lot of his music, and he produced a lot of
music for people, and for me, it's like I wouldn't
want to go as a fan of his because the
illusion would be shot. You already know what he did,
trust me. But do you hear it in graphic details
sitting there? I Oh, I just.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I wish, isn't it? And that's why I think so
many celebrities get off because of the way we feel.
And all it's got to take is one of his
fans to be in that jewry, just one of them,
and they could just refuse to admit it. It's really tricky,
isn't it a big bigger question here in life when
somebody you think you know, somebody you think your love,
turns out to be a stink. And my advice never
ever meet your idol. If you have a chance to

(04:03):
meet somebody that you'll really really love, somebody like a Madonna,
someone that I grew up listening to Madonna, and when
I met her, I was severely disappointed because the person
in my mind, she could never be that great. She
didn't do anything wrong. Let me be honest there. She
wasn't rude. She wasn't particularly nice, but she wasn't rude.
She was just like sort of indifferent. But I wanted

(04:25):
her to be Madonna in the middle of the Vogue video,
and that isn't how she is all the time. It
is so difficult, whether it be a Bill Cosby, a Diddy,
a Michael Jackson, when you meet your hero, So when
you find out somebody who you really enjoy it, it
was part of your life, at least the soundtrack of
your life. When you find out that they're not quite

(04:47):
who you thought they were, it's really really hurts. This
hurts me on a personal level when a friend does
something a little shady to me. What hurts is not
what they did, but the fact that they sort of
come to me I didn't really know them because person
I thought they were Donnie wouldn't have done this. Yeah,
that's it. It's so said.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
But I was just actually thinking about this the other day.
I think Michael is one of the few that I
don't want I'm trying to word this nicely. That's a
lot of just kind of overlooked, and I think he's
one of the few. But I don't know if it's
because of his talent or because we there's just so

(05:27):
much convoluted stories around this. Did he though there's no convolution,
Like we know, there are people after people after people
saying that he did these things.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
There's videos, yeah, there is yeah. I mean we saw
that Cassie video. That's what changed everything for me. But
you are right about people like Michael Jackson. I think
it's just the volume of the work and what it
meant to me. It's like if I watched Oprah Winfrey
pretty much every day when she had a talk show,

(06:00):
if I found out Oprah was a monster, I'd be devastated.
I understand now who her people felt when Ellen was
revealed to not be very nice. People watch that show
for a decade and it turned out that they were
not true. I think one of the good things about
social media, there's not that many, but one of the
good things is people are exposed much quicker when somebody

(06:21):
is not very nice. Twenty thirty years ago, it'd be
really really hard to sort of talk about that. The
mainstream press would not cover it because they were frightened
they wouldn't get access anymore. But any blogger, any individual,
anybody with a cell phone. If you see somebody rude
in a restaurant, you now can video it and it
goes around the world really, really quickly. And I think

(06:41):
that's a good thing here, which brings us to our
pole question of the day. A fan erupted in Didy's
court room quite a meltdown, shouting, shouting that the press
is laughing at you. Our questions a little bit of
a tricky one today? Do you think Diddy secretly loves this?
He loved all this attention. I remember when I worked

(07:02):
with him, he told me he wanted to be the
most famous person in the world. Arguably today he is
for all the wrong reasons. But is he secretly, secretly
perversely loving a little bit of this? Hey, go vote
on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook
page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back
tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, what are you working on, Donnie?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Another messy situation. So Blake Lavely has backed off, but
who knows for how long? And a very strange legal
twist you know, she has temporarily backed off two of
the explosive emotional distress claims in her court battle against
her it ins with US co star Justin about Donnie

(07:48):
Mister Judis Scoop learned that the girl I can't so
what she did is she's moved to drop the claims
of intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress. But it
came after Justin's team demanded access to her private medical

(08:09):
health records. So she's filed them without prejudice. But that
means she can refile at any time. And people are
saying it wasn't about dropping charges, she just didn't want
people to look at her medical records. I can't kind
of understand that. But Blake, when you start dropping charges,
it makes it look like maybe they weren't well it

(08:30):
does look as true as you claiming they would be.
It gets the waters get murky.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Here they do. And that's what the problem with this
case is. There's no real hero, no real villain. Everybody
looks guilty, everybody looks innocent. Here. I do understand not
wanting to hand over your medical record, your therapy, notsts.
But if you claim somebody has caused you emotional distress,
you've got to prove it. You can't just say it.
That's how our legal system is set up. Otherwise we

(08:58):
could just claim stuff and people would be convicted, and
so that is not how it works. Blake's legal team
should have advised her when she first filed these charges
what it meant like. You can file them if you want,
Blake book, this is what it's going to mean for you.
I say that to myself and my friends all the time.
You could do that, whatever the option might be, but

(09:19):
this is what it's going to mean for you. I'm
much much less important things like tonight, Donnie, we could
go to McDonald's and get really drunk, but the next morning,
I'm gonna have an upset to me and I'm gonna
feel terrible. So that's the consequences of eating fast food.
The consequences now filing a lawsuit where you claim emotional
distress is that then you open yourself up for somebody

(09:42):
to come in and look at your medical records, and
so you can't have this both ways here. I'm shogs
that Blake's team was not more buttoned up. Maybe she
has yes people, maybe she's leading this campaign and people
are often frightened to say no to a celebrity. But
I don't think this has been handled very well at all.
And that's why Blake's in the mess that she is
in today.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Okay, I'm calling it now. I think we are getting
close to this being settled. You're right outside of court
because it's starting to get really nobody's winning, nobody's winning losing.
So even when they go to court, what are they
going to do to each other? Just destroy each other more? No,

(10:25):
something happened.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Amber heard and Johnny depth destroyed each other. Ultimately, he
was found innocent, she was found the one that was
the problem. But it has destroyed her life. It's hurt
Johnny's life for I mean, his bouncy back is trying
and bounds back, but he's never going to be the
pilots of the Caribbean again. And so it's so difficult.
I think you're right, Donnie. I think at some point
the lawyers are going to say, although the lawyers have
a vested interest to keep it going because they own money, money,

(10:49):
they earned money. If it's settled, it goes away. So somebody,
maybe it's Ryan, maybe it's her family, maybe it's his family.
I've got to say, you two are just destroying each other.
The only winner is the lawyers. Okay, Moving along another
a list celebrity is snubbed Meghan Markle, This one is
Dolly Parton. So Meghan marcl got a big fat no

(11:09):
from America's one of the most beloved icons in America.
And inside to say, the rejection stung. I guess it would.
Sources are telling me that Dolly Parton flat at refuse
to appear on Meghan's Netflix series with Love Meghan, leaving
the Duchess and her team really angry about it. The
beloved country star didn't want to risk her prime Q score.

(11:30):
A Q score is how popular you are, and Dolly
has one of the highest, probably in the world, certainly
in America. And this wasn't about schedules. It was just
about brand protection. And Dolly doesn't need the drama love
or hate Meghan, And that's the problem. You're one or
the other. It's very controversial, and so Dolly's like, I
don't need this. What am I gonna do? And I'm

(11:51):
gonna sell two more records? Am I gonna sell two
more tickets to Dollywood? To go on The Meghan Markell
Podcast The Megan Markle Show. You gotta sometimes at the
downsides of doing stuff. It's so easy to say no no, No.
It's so easy to say yes, yes, yes, it's really
hard to say why. I try to say and why
am I doing this? What? What's the point of this?

(12:12):
And so I think Dolly probably made the right decision here.
She doesn't need this nonsense. Let's be honest. Mega Marckle
needs Dolly Paulton Moon than DOLLI pot needs Mega Marcal.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
I also think the thing is is if Dolly wors
to show up, it would You're like, what is what's Dolly.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Doing in California?

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Was doing?

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Was she doing it? That makes no sense?

Speaker 2 (12:35):
It's like it's a stretch and it was Meghan trying
to She was swinging for the fences. She wanted the
show to work. And so I don't blame her, Honey,
I would ask Michelle Obak if I could you know
what I'm saying, like, I would do it because I
need the show to so I don't blame her. But
it also has to make sense sense.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yeah, it's like a cheap trick. It would be easy
for you and me, Donnie to pull housewife on the
show to say something outrageous. Actually, our ratings went down
in the beginning of the show like four or five
years ago, I used to get celebrities to come on
the Housewives, different reality stars, and the ratings went down.
People would rather hear you and me, Donnie, and you've
got excellent taste. I totally agree with that conclusion. Okay, quickly,

(13:18):
before we go to break Shiloh, Remember Shiloh Jolie has
a new name. Explained Donnie what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
She used to be named Shiloh Jolie Pitts. That's right,
but introducing to.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
The world, it is just shy Joe, shy, Shi shy.
I like it.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Done with Pitt for good, done with it. I mean
that is I just couldn't imagine if I was Brad
Pitt and if I had a daughter and I just
it would be heartbreaking for me. But it wouldn't it
make you go? Oh, I screwed up. Yeah, I really screwed.
I hope that he is seeing all of this and

(14:02):
thinking I need to try and rectify your situation somehow.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
I really hope. So, yeah, we know from our reporting
that he's tried, but it's too late here to change
your name. To drop the name Pitt is a very
dramatic thing. I hope to like you Donnie, he's thinking
about this. Names are important, and so you know, you
can pick your own name. Here. We know that Shi,

(14:30):
that's the new name. Shi now seems to have a
romantic interest in her life. She seems to be with
one of the dancers that she works with, that she
that she hangs out with. Good for you pick your name.
I do believe this. If you don't like your name,
if you're listening to the show and you don't like
your name, you can change it. You can change pretty

(14:52):
much anything about yourself. Tell us what you want to
be called, what your name is, and we will honor
that here on this show. Congratulations to you, shy, but
you're right, Donnie. This must give Brad pause. It really must. Okay,
we're gonna pause ourselves and take a quick break and
we will be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty

(15:14):
but niceam your hastor? Psue you if I did fen
Donny meatrum, Hey, Donnie, let's get to the polls. Last show,
we talked about Harry talking about names. Wants to drop
the name Windsor now. First he wanted to be called Spencer,
which is his mommy's name, Diana Spencer. Spencer is not
going to work out. Diana's brother his uncle are all.
Spencer said, it's not a good idea. So now he's

(15:36):
going to go with markl. What do you think? Do
you like the name Harry Markl? I quite like it.
Let's have a look here. Seventy five percent said yes,
Harry Markle. Why do you not like it?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I just know I don't know something about it doesn't work. Plus,
but you are a prince, a friend, you are a prince,
your prince Donald rag Me?

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Now can I be controversial? Is it because a man's
taking a woman's name? Donnie? Are you being a bit
old fashioned tale?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
No care about that, don't care?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
But does Marco mark I like it? Markle? Sparkle? Now, Donnie,
one day when your prince comes, I know he will
hurry up. Please, we've been waiting. Do you think you
might change your last name? Or you always give me
be Donny meacham.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
I think I would go with hyphen.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Donnie, Donny meet him shootage fantasy when Marco markl Oh
I like it? Okay, don't forget to vote today's poule.
Go to a Twitter page, two rob Facebook page and
be sure to check back time. Maur to hear your
results are now I'm my favorite part of the show

(16:49):
and noisest of the day.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Nice to the day. It's a little Shooter Scoop exclusive.
Speaking of mister here Markles wife Mega Markle. She is
apparently in secretographer a Princess Diaries three Kimeo, but she's
not so doing. There's no official offer, but her name

(17:13):
has come up in creative meetings. Now Meghan, hello, lovelo,
we know this. Do it is what I live for, Meghan,
this is what you should do.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Just do fun.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Yes, silly stuff. It's a Princess Diaries. There's no controversy here.
It's just it's anna have the way, like, come on,
do this.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
This is so clever, it's such it would give such
good will. People would scream or watching the Princess Diaries
were sitting there. Done it with that popcorn and pops up,
Megan mocole. She could just walk in and out of
a scene. Oh, I think it is so so clever, Meghan. Yes, snow,
I know you think you should be up for big
parts and win an oscar. No leading to who you are.

(17:54):
You're fun and terrific and your Mega markl do it
to it to it are nicest of the day, and
now I noticed the day naughty. This makes me a
bit sad. Rod Stewart's family are begging Kim to retire,
so Rogers had to cancel all his concerts in Vegas
at the last minute. And he's eighty years old. And
now inside are saying that they think it's time to
take a seat. When those performers get up there in age,

(18:17):
I get they still want to do it, but they
can't do it. We've got to acknowledge the challenges of time, Donni,
and so do the show. The other thing, too, is
I hate it when you can't rely on a performer.
And the older you get, the less likely you are
to always show up going on tour doing concerts. It's

(18:38):
a young person's game. It's really difficult to live that
intensive life, particularly in your eighties. And for me, it's
just not fair. If I was a fan and I
bought a ticket, I got to Vegas, I got a
hotel room. You know, my ticket's going to be refunded,
but my flight isn't, my hotel room isn't. The food.
I mean, it's really expensive. Like if you're not going
to do it, if you can't do it, then I

(18:59):
think it's time to not do it. What do you think, Dona, Ah,
I'm so torn about this. It goes almost back to
you know, Biden and the presidency. When do you tell
somebody it's time, it's just time.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
You have to think about their feelings and granted they
probably know it, yeah, but they just it's hard to
You're not admitting failu, you're admitting you're admitting that you
just can't do it anymore. And that's sad.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
I noticed the dayly seventh a moment, rub, Rub, train
your mind to hear the whispers, not the war. Your
soul speaks in whispers, and this is what the problem is.
The enemy speaks with a really loud voice. It's loud,
it's cruel, and it often shots. So train your mind
to hear the whispers. Don't let the noise of fear

(19:50):
dry out the voice of faith, because deep down, your
soul already knows the way. All you have to do,
Donnie is listen to it. Train your mind to listen
to those whispers, not that big, lad, ugly voice that
is screaming at you nonsense. Say that is it for today.

(20:13):
Thank you so much for listening, so they naughty bit
nice with Robin Donny Show, a production of iHeart Radio
and Alvis Durant didn't forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio
app Apple Podcast. Wherever you listen, leave us a review
if you can. They really do help and remember altogether.
And now let me hear you singing along. If you're
going to be naughty, you've got to be let me
hear you. It's not even nice with Ram
