The singer—and longtime ex of Sean “Diddy” Combs—has significantly bolstered her personal security team in the days since the music mogul’s stunning federal court verdict. Meanwhile, in a wildly different response, Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, is already planning a lavish post-verdict celebration in Miami. And while the public remains largely silent, A-list stars, top music execs, fashion icons, and even familiar morning show hosts have allegedly been quietly reaching out to Diddy with congratulations, support, and encouragement.

Rob is joined by the charming Marc Lupo. Don't forget to vote in today's poll on Twitter at @naughtynicerob or in our Facebook group.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Ye sure, it's nice.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's time nice well lovell Welcome to the Naughty but Niceho.
I'm your host, Rob Shooter, and it's Thursday, which means,
after a little bit of time away, our dear friend
Mark Looper was with us. Hey, LUPI are you there?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Lubby lewis here here?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Ra? I love our Thursdays. I love our Thursday. It's
a little gossip, a little chit chatty. Don't you love it?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
It's the best way to kick off my wrong weekend
is Rob.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
You're so sweet. I get to do this every single day.
I'm so grateful to all the co hosts. I'm so
grateful to all the naughties that listen that allow us
to do this. But we have created something so much fun.
I hope that you guys get at least ten or
twenty percent of the enjoyment I get, and that will
be enough. I get so much joy out of doing
this show. I'm glad that you do too. Let's jump in.

(00:59):
It's a bit day. Today's show has sort of got
a theme. We don't really do theme shows, but there's
so much news on Diddy. It's pretty much a Diddy show.
Let's be honest. It's a full dilly show. So if
that's not your thing, if this trial is not your thing,
I'll see you tomorrow. But if it is your thin,
lucky lucky you, because we're gonna jump into it. What
time is it, my friends? It is tea time, big

(01:20):
story at the top of the show. So Cassie has
beefed up her security after the Diddy verdict. So Cassie,
she's not waiting around to see what happens next because
multiple sources has told me that the singer and former
longtime girlfriend of Diddy has dramatically increased her personal security

(01:41):
in the wake of the bombshell conviction. So once source
told me quote, after everything she's been through, she's not
taken any chances. She's in full protection mode for herself
and her family. I should point out that she did
hire extra bodyguards when we did didn't know if did.
He was getting out So yesterday he got off from

(02:03):
the real serious charges, but there were two two felonies
that he was convicted of. I think did he thought
he was walking out of court yesterday. I think after
that very dramatic morning, he was waiting till about five
o'clock for the judge to decide what happened next. The
judge decided he had to stay in prison. I'm sure
that has given a lot of people some comfort. Mark.

(02:26):
I don't want to put myself into this story, and
I'm certainly no Cassie, but I must admit when he
felt like he got off, and he didn't, he got
off some of the big charges. These are still very
serious charges. I think he could be in jail for
twenty years. He'll probably be in free, I guess three
to four. I spoke to some lawyers, but I did
have a moment where I was like, oh, no, is
it going to come for me? Like I've been quite

(02:46):
honest about when he was like working with him. I
think there's many many other people on that list above me,
but I do get it. I get someone like Cassie
was so honest, so brave, so willing to stand up
and tell her story, and it can feel as if
why bother, particularly after this verdict.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, you know, it's surprising to all of us. I
think he got away with murder here, and you know
your point. Yes, it's these charges are serious, but he's
likely to be in jail for just a few years.
I feel honest in one way. You know, we see
what a monster he's been. We've seen him be accused
of blowing people's cars up and beating people up and
raping people. On the other hand, did he saw his

(03:26):
life flash before his eyes with his trial? And I
think he knows that if there's anything that's attached to him,
if he causes any trouble for anybody, he's going to
be in a lot of trouble. And he could, you know,
face more consequences for this.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, I hope you're right, Mark. I would love to
believe that. My experience with monsters is that once they
get away with it, it empowers them. They never learned,
Like Mark, we would learn from our mistake when I
get in trouble and I do all the time, not
like did he. But I'm always getting told off by
a publicist or a manager celebrity. But I saw what
I do, think about it for a minut and I'm like, oh,

(04:00):
maybe I didn't do the right thing, or maybe I
could have worded that a little more more gently. I'm
open to learn. My experience with working with Puff all
those years ago, it's over twenty years ago. He didn't learn,
He didn't ever change. And I think when you let somebody,
when you let a bully get away with it, and
I think that's how did he feel he got away
with it. Yes, the two charges are really serious, and

(04:23):
had he not been up for five charges, had he
just been up for those two charges and he had
been convicted, we would be like, Wow, it's a great day.
They finally got him. Any other celebrity, they did not
want a felony. They do not want to be charged
with prostitution. They do not want to be charged with
these hellones. This would end anybody else's career. I think

(04:44):
the other charges were just so dramatic and they were
a life in prison, trafficking, rico, kidnapping, that these convictions
now feel as if they're almost nothing. And that's why
PUFF thought he was going to walk out. The only
one I can say to people out there who are
just disappointed, and I get it. I feel like I've
been kicked in my stomach here. What I can say

(05:06):
is we didn't lose. He is going to go to jail,
maybe not for life, maybe for as short as two, three,
four years, but his life now is permanently changed. He
is a convicted felon, even so my heart breaks for
the casses of this world. Thankfully, thankfully she has the

(05:28):
money to afford this security. She's just had a baby. Mark.
I do believe you were right. I don't think did
He's going to do anything foolish, not because of any
respect to Cassie, but because he doesn't want to get
to jail himself. But what I worry about is the fans. Yesterday, Mark,
I saw outside the courtroom, people rejoicing, People were spraying

(05:51):
each other with baby oil, screaming free did it? Those
are the people that I worry about, And those are
the ones that I think maybe Cassie needs some protect from,
which brings us to our pole question of the day.
Cassie has beefed U her security after the shocking Did
he verdict? What do you think right move to do?
Yes or no? Hey, I'm not saying the right movie

(06:11):
is did he getting off? That's not what I'm saying.
I'm asking about Cassie here. Would you increase your security
if you had the means to do it, if you
had the money, would you do it? I'm told now
that she has done this day. Are not messing about
this is not being paranoid. This is being cautious. What
do you think?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Go vote on at Twitter page at naughty Nice Rubb
or at Facebook page which is naughty Joseim and be
sure to check bettermar Rauer to hear your results. Hey, Loops,
what are you working on?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Hey? So did He's mama is planning apparently a celebration
party and might the invitations from Didy's lawyers and the jury.
Let me explain, So sources have told Shooter scoup At
Jenna's Combs, the fiercely loyal mom of Sean did He Combs,
has already plenty lavish celebration Miami following her so partial
acquittal in federal court last week. Now, the sources are

(07:04):
now saying that she's treating it like the wind. She
truly believes that justice was served and she's ready to
celebrate the fact that publicly and unapologetically that she, you know,
is happy her son is out of or will be
out of prison soon. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I think it's tone deaf. I understand the need the
want for a family to celebrate, but do it privately.
Plus he's not at it. I think Janis and Puffy
and the whole family thought he was walking down. In fact,
they were so confident Mark they'd made plans to walk
out the front entrance. My sources tell me that the
cars were going to pull up out the front and
he was going to walk out the front of that

(07:37):
courthouse with his head held high, as if he was
walking a red carpet. And now, thankfully that did not happen.
I'm told that there will be a party in Miami
this weekend though, for the fourth of July, and they
were going to turn that into a big welcome home
did He party. Well, obviously he's not going to be there.
But it's just so tone deaf. But I think, once again,

(07:59):
why would we think this family would learn working with
did He? He has this quality that actually quite a
lot of celebrities have him more than others. Shamelessness. They
just have no shame Mark, like nothing gives them pause.
When did He does eventually get out, it could be months,

(08:19):
it could be years, but not more than five years.
When he does get out, I will predict he will
try this. There will be some big, big party, He'll
probably go on tour. I expect that lessons will not
be learned. He might not ever get caught again. But
I don't think his behavior is going to change that much.
He had to promise to the judge Mark that he

(08:41):
would have no sex workers if he got out. So
not only did they want to give millions of dollars
in bail, he was going to get on a private
plane go to Miami to his house in Miami. He's
not based in New York anymore. His home base is Miammey,
And he was going to have to promise the judge
that he had have no sex workers over and they
just were like they thought this was going to happen.

(09:02):
I think that morning, yesterday morning, I thought it was
going to happen to I know the law, we know celebrities.
We've done this for a long time. There was no
way he was getting out. But I just was so
wrapped up in this tidal wave of he's acquitted, he's acquitted. No,
he's not. There are still two very serious charges that
he has been found guilty of, and Cassie, that's the

(09:22):
only thing you can wrap yourself in at the moment.
But that is good news that at least is some progress.
When I worked with puff Mark, I can tell you
there was only one person he listened to it wasn't
j Loo, and it certainly wasn't me. It was his mother.
The mother runs this family, and I's told that now
with him going away for a few years, potentially the

(09:45):
mom's the boss, not the kids. If you think about it,
it's like a billion dollar business he's leaving behind. If
you think of a big company, they've just lost their CEO.
They've lost the face of the company. Who's going to
step in. It's a family business and have a board.
It's not Coca Cola, it's not Pepsi, it's not Cadillac.
There's no board there. So the mom now Janus is

(10:08):
running bad boy, Watch out, everybody, Okay, moving long. Hollywood
is privately congratulating Diddy. Oh so, nobody's coming forward and
saying this publicly. And maybe fifty Cent has said a
few comments, maybe a few rappers, but mainstream Hollywood executives,
fashion leaders, even morning show hosts have all reached out

(10:31):
privately to did he or at least did his people
they won the first interview. That's what's going on here.
The morning show hosts want the interviews. Let me tell
you a nasty little secret about the music business, about
the fashion business. It's not about morals. It's about monia.
And if they think Puffy can come back and make
the money, they'll be back in business with him. Will
he ever get another sarac one hundred million dollar deal.

(10:54):
I hope not, but I don't know. Will he ever
tour again, Yes he will. Will he ever put out
music again? Maybe independently, maybe Warner Brothers and the big
labels don't want to be part of Diddy, but he
will put out music. His son put out a track
last week. So this is not a family that lays low.
This is a family who knows how to market an opportunity.

(11:16):
And having worked for perfect I can tell you this
is going to turn into a marketing opportunity. He's going
to have an album, a tour, the Redemption Tour. I
can have the Innocent Project. I can see the titles
of the songs right now. He'll change his name to Marta,
He'll change his name to Victim. And so this is
not going to be pretty to watch. Naughties. I'm warning you.

(11:38):
I'm really warning you, and I promise you after today's show,
we're going to try and stay away from this topic.
We don't do Kanye on this show. I think we're
going to stay away from Diddy on this show, but
it's going to be hard to mark because he's going
to be out there promoting, promoting, promoting. Do you agree?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I do agree. And you know, if you've been following
the trial, his family has been so supportive all the
way through. Even when the verticals announced, they were clapping
and cheering and did he was saying, I'm coming home,
I'm coming home. And you know, I think he has
a godlike complex. I think he just sees himself as
a god, and this family sees him as a god.
And you know, they have no shame about it. They

(12:15):
are happy to let people know. And would I do agree.
I think there'll be some kind of moment, we'll have
a tour, have a sit down. I just don't know
that the mainstream media will support it in the way
that they once did. I don't. I don't think you
were going to be going to his concerts or seeing
him at the VMA's. But he's not giving up. This
is not the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
He's not giving up. I think what we have to
acknowledge that is the mainstream media is not what it was.
You can now live on TikTok. You live on social media,
you can live on your own YouTube channel, and going
on a morning show, going on a late night show
with Jimmy Fallon isn't what it was. And so Puffy's
gonna get millions and millions of follows. I get. I

(12:56):
was on CNN last night and I was with a
really smart culture expert, a person of color, and they
were saying that within their community, they understand why people
are celebrating because the police has historically not been very
supportive to different types of community. So they take this.
People are taking this as did he beat the system?

(13:17):
And that's what they're celebrating. I don't think for one
second anybody is celebrating what we saw on that video
with Cassie. It's just something that video is gonna live
on forever. I do fear, though, Mark, in this new
world that we live in of hyper masculinity of it.
I think they're called the Tait Brothers, these very very
hyper masculine guys who are on YouTube millions of followers,

(13:40):
the Tucker Carson's, the tough guys. There's gonna be a
place for Diddy. There will He is gonna find a place.
It might not be back singing songs to Jimmy Fallon,
but there is gonna be an appetite. There is gonna
be a place, even if it's his own YouTube channel
where if you think he's just gonna go away, that

(14:01):
ain't gonna happen. A talking about a god like complex. Mark.
We're hearing now that did. He is doubling down on religion.
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
So multiple sources close to the embaleled local soa that
did he is crediting his partial equittal to not luck
or even his legalty, and but to God himself. The
sources of say he thinks this was divine intervention. He
truly believes God stepped in and cleared his name. Rob,
what are your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Oh, it makes me so angry when people use the Lord,
use God to help themselves like I would guess, Yes,
if this happened to me, I would feel like Wow,
particularly after all this evidence there's somebody, there's something stepping
in to help me. Did He's always felt special and

(14:50):
I think that's maybe part of the problem. It's tricky,
isn't it, because we all want to feel special. Part
of this show we end with a moment of Rob
every day, just because I want everyone to feel special,
if just for a moment. So I'm not encouraging you
not to feel special. But there is a line between
confidence and arrogance, and I think with Puffy we can
all agree that line was crossed a long time again. Okay,

(15:15):
we're going to take a quick break and we will
be right back. Welcome back to the naughty but nice
root of dear friend Mark before. I love gossiping with
you once a week. Mark, Hey, let's get to the poles.
Are finally a story that's not diddy. I feel the
same naughties, I promise you I do so. The very
sweeddings weddings in Venice have dropped fell off a cliff.

(15:38):
Nobody wants to get married in Venice anymore, and they're
blaming the Jeff Bezos effect that spectacle. Our question was
quite simple. Would you get married in Venice after these two? As?
It turns you off, like I want to get married
in Saint Paul's Cathedral after Princess Diana, even after George
Cloudy and a Mall got married in Venice. Oh, it
looks so romantic. The gondolas, the tuxedos, Hollywood, Jeff bezus

(16:01):
Is where it did it look that nice? And shockingly, Venis,
which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world,
it didn't look that nice either. So people at the minute,
all these very wealthy people who could get married anywhere.
I don't think we're gonna go to Venice for for
a while. What do you think would you? Would you
get married in Venice? After them, sixty five percent said no,

(16:23):
You'll probably find somewhere else. They can't have spoiled Venis
not in the long term. Venice is too historical, it's
been around too long. It's too much of a beautiful city,
it's too special. But there is a little bit of
a sour sour taste in my mouth, Mark what about you.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
I mean, there's so many beautiful cities in Italy you
can get from Florence. It's the same thing as like
the space tourism, Like I don't think I can go
to space for a while until this is there's space
from that event.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
It's just next time I get two tickets to space market.
Not to ask you, okay, don't get to vote on
to Peace Bowl. Go to a Twitter age at not
nice ram Our facebook page is not a gossip and
be sure to check back to mar Raua to hear
your results. And now we found on. We had to
search really really hard to find one here, but I

(17:11):
think we did. Now it's time for our nicest and
bravest of the day.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Oh it's Cassie Ventura. So Cassie Venturer reacted to her
ex boyfriend Shon did Comb's verdict on Wednesday. Her lawyer
released a statement after the music mogul was found guilty
of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and
acquitted of sex trafficking racketeering. The statement read, the entire
criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the

(17:39):
courage to file her civil complaint in November of twenty
twenty three. Although the jury did not find Comb's guilty
of sex trafficking, Cassie beyond the reasonable doubt, she paved
the way for a jury to find him guilty of
transportation to engage in prostitution.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
So brave. We have to remember this did start with
Cassie speaking gas. Yeah, she was so brave. And I
want people who say why didn't she leave? Why didn't
she get out? She stayed with him. She did try
to leave. We saw it on video and we saw
what happened. We saw somebody trying to leave, and we

(18:13):
saw what happened. Because of that, Cassie, you are the hero,
hero of this story and nicest the day. And now
I naughticed the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Of course it's
Diddy so inside to say his camp are still trying
to get a presidential pardon. So if you remember, before
the verdict, Trump was asked, President Trump was asked about Diddy,

(18:35):
and he said he'd think about it. They've known each
other for a long time. I've seen Puffy at some
of Diddy's parties back in the day when I would
be working those parties. So they definitely know each other.
They were both New York moguls. They sort of rolled
in the same circle. And so now I'm told that
did he wants to be totally exonerated. He does not
want these two federal crimes convictions on his record, and

(18:57):
so expect Puffy to still be lobby in and he
could get it for a full, full pardon and naughtyist
of the day, Let's send with a moment a rub
You're gonna rob, you gonna rub you got a Rob,
But not every closed door is locked. Mark, push harder.
Just because the door is closed, it doesn't mean that
it's the ending. It might not be locked. It might

(19:19):
just need a little extra effort, a little bit more courage,
or a little bit more believed to push open. So
push hard and try again, try one more time. Because
closed doesn't mean denied, It means are you willing to
fight for it. I love that I get told no

(19:40):
so many times, and you don't want to be too aggressive,
but a little push and sometimes that no can become
a yes. So don't take no. Don't take a closed
door at face value. Give it a push. Mark, It
might not be locked. Hey, that is it for today.
