Speaker 1 (00:08):
Scalable advice for sure.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
It's time nice level and love and lovel Hello, Welcome
through the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
and it is Friday, which means our dear friend Corey
Andrew joins us. Hey, Corey, are you there?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I am here. Happy Friday, everyone.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Happy Friday Love. Thank you to all our original listeners
and our new listeners. Since I've been doing this substack, Corey,
we have developed, we have found a ton of new listeners.
So welcome, Welcome to the show just goes to show
you the more you put out there, the more you
get back. And so you don't need hundreds of millions
of people to change your life, You just need a few.
(00:47):
I'm really into this now, and so the more stuff
I do, just the TikTok's just simple stuff now that
you can do each day. This isn't about me. This
is about you, naughties. The stuff that you can do
each day, the one or two things you can act
to your scale. I know we've got enough to do.
I know our bandwidth is pretty small. I know we
all work really really hard. But if you can add
(01:08):
a tweet, a substack, a TikTok, a moment, or even
just go for a drink with a friend. If you
can add that to your schedule each week, it's going
to work out just beautifully. So try try and put
yourself out there. Sometimes it's difficult, I know it. It's
always easier to sit on the couch and watch Dancing
with the Stars. But if you can put yourself out
(01:28):
there just a little bit, I promise you, the rewards
will come your way. Okay, let's jump into as show.
What time is it? My friends? It is taseer and
big story at the top of the show. So when
Jimmy Kimmel's contract expires next year on ABC, when it
comes to an end next year on ABC, the network
is talking about changing him to streaming, totally streaming. This
is interesting. Do not think this is a punishment. This
(01:52):
is actually a promotion. The world is changing to streaming.
Lots and lots of people now it's all about streaming,
it's all about online. Very very few people now even
watched television in a traditional way. When he returned after
his suspension, he got about six seven million people that
watch the show, huge, huge numbers. He got over twenty
one million on YouTube. So YouTube is where it's happening.
(02:14):
That is where the future is now. Streaming is going
to be part of that. And the reason all this
is happening is not only the shift in the way
that we consume media, but also to the FCC does
not oversea streaming. So the FCC, which has been very,
very harsh lately calling out shows. Some people are saying
(02:34):
they're joking, but it is a government agency app here
to be threatening different shows. It's not right. They are
all over Jimmy Kimmel. In fact, let's remember ABC did
not cancel Jimmy Kimmel after he spoke about Maga and
Charlie Kirk. They canceled him after the FCC threatened him,
and so that's what scared Disney here. Ultimately, they stood
(02:58):
up to these bullies, to the FCAE. But if they
move the show to streaming, Corey or better Off, it's
like an HBO. You can swear, you can say this,
you can say that, I don't like swearing, but you
can say whatever you want. And so I think this
might be a really really good solution. Put these late
night shows, all of them on streaming, and we can
(03:20):
all then watch them or not watch them. The choice
is ultimately ours. If you don't like stuff people are saying.
I don't like I don't like their politics. I don't
like what they're saying. It doesn't it's too nasty, it's
too mean for me. The Real Housewives, that's not a
political show, but got too mean for me, so I
stopped watching it. It just made me feel dirty afterwards. I
needed a shower. It was so mean and so like.
(03:42):
I think streaming could be the way I've changed my habits, Corey,
I now do stream I would say over sixty seventy
percent of my TV consumption is on streaming.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Where are you, Yeah, I would say the same thing,
Joey and I just really recently sort of got rid
of keyboard traditional cable, and we do we do literally streaming,
and I have enough that I can just keep keep
up with the news. But mostly I'm streaming your non
traditional broadcasting. I don't watch a lot of NBC, ABC
or CBS.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
And you raise a great point too. You know, you
inspired me to.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Start my own substack a few years A few weeks back,
I must say, and I just wrote about Don Lemon
and Joy read in this context because they have now
actually almost surpassed their own viewership when they were on MSNBC.
Now as independent journalists with their own YouTube channel. Don
Lemon's almost at a million a million street like followers
(04:35):
on his YouTube, which means he's on part of actually
bypassing his own numbers when he was on a cable network.
So it's interesting that that streaming place is where I
think the freedom is there. There's no bureaucracy, and they're
controlling their own narrative and controlling a lot of their
own advertising money because it's going right to them.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Right to them.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
They're cutting at the mentalman. Just hold your headset a
little bit away from your microphone there on your T shirt.
It's just catching your headstick keeping in, but it's catching
on your microphone in the middle. They go, They go
a little better there, We'll keep cheap going. Good point,
good point.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
These I'm an audio guy, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
These audio guys now, look at gosh, you remember five
years ago, I didn't even know what a zoom was.
Now I'm telling you about like microphones. Listen to it
is true. It is true, Corey that now people like
Joy Read, people like Don Lemon, people that even like
Tucker Carson, and people like Megan Kelly, they're more powerful
now when they're not on the network. I thought, after
(05:29):
Tucker was fired from Fox News, would never hear it
from you, And again, yeah, he's bigger than ever. Megan
Kelly when she got fired from NBC, I was like, Wow,
that's over. Not true. There's always indeplantent places now. And
I went down to the Diddy trial, which is coming
up in a few weeks. Grief, We're going to talk
about that a lot in the next couple of weeks.
But I went down to the trial and I did
a lot of the mainstream press. I did NBC and ABC,
(05:51):
I did all the big news organizations. They were opposite
the courthouse and I did a few interviews there and
then I looked across the street and that's where I
all the energy. And it was with TikTokers. I was
with people. It was influencers, and I ended up talking
to this influencer, not on camera. I didn't want to
be on camera. They had about six million followers the
(06:13):
nightly news, though I'd like they're killed for that. Numbers
are massive, and so the world is really changing, which
brings us to our pole question of the day. Disney
is Eyeing Eyeing streaming only in the future for Jimmy
Kimmel Live. Is this a bold escape from FCC rules
or is this a risky bit? What do you think?
Is this a risky bet or is this a bold move? Hey,
(06:36):
go vote on our Twitter page. I had not in
nice rama. Facebook page is naughty gossip and be shure
to check back on mandata. Here your results. Hey, Corey Love,
what are you working on?
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Yes, we are there some Dancing with the Stars news
here with Taylor Swift's backup dancer, Jan Ravnik. You know,
he's really really cute, and you know he's got all
that star power because he was her dancer obviously on
her eras tour, and so he came with it's a
little bit of a expectancy already when he got there
to sort of bring the Taylor.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Swift energy when you know when he joined the show.
But he's actually out earning the.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Rest of the Dancing with the Stars cast, which is
sort of unheard of. So hashtag shooter scoop can reveal
the Slovenian born performer fresh off of Swift's sold out arastour,
He was lured to season thirty four with a pay
package that is way bigger than any other pro on
the show.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
So he's being paid.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
More than the other dancers, and this is being confirmed
by an insider now producers. This insider is telling us
that the producers know that his connection to Taylor Swift
is ratings gold, so they opened up their wallets to
make sure he signed on. I'll say rob to even
just us talking about this story and then saying Taylor
Swift's name. Even that in itself is already an elevated
(07:49):
pr strategy that the other dancers.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Don't catch out on the show.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
They don't have I mean, you know, and they say
that like normally, rookies on the show they get like
twelve hundred dollars per episode, which is not a lot
of money, but still, you know, I take it in
a heartbeat. Sounds but you know, the veteran fans who
kind of have been there a little longer, you know,
they have pushed for like five thousand dollars a show,
So he was able to kind of bypass the rookie
(08:13):
phase and go right to the five thousand dollars area
of his salary, which is really unheard of on the show.
So you know, I'm not sure how the other people feel.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I wonder how.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Hilario Hellai gets star salary. So she's getting the star salary,
so she's going to dance paid different. So he's getting
a pro dancer fee, which is about one thy two
hundred a show. He's getting more than that. The celebrities go,
they get a different They get, yeah, a couple of
hundred thousand for the whole season, and if they if
they get into the final, they get a boost. So
(08:43):
don't worry about the celebrities. They're making money. The people
that I worry about is the pro dancers. They're like
staff on the show, and they're not paid a lot
of money. But I do think he's worth every penny
of it I've got in there. I've been watching Dancing
with the Stars and I've been voting when not necessarily
the star, like voting for the dancer, but the star.
Last week, they don't give you the actual voting numbers.
(09:05):
We just know who's in the bottom two, and they
sent the one that's in the bottom. But last week
they said that the numbers were more than double last season,
and the only thing that has changed is Taylor Swift.
So I think that it's already working. They said that
he was safe, but they didn't tell you that the
Bruce Lentin next to Melliam's life and he got forty
five million. We didn't put everybody got a couple of
(09:26):
hundred thousand votes. And because it's all the tailors worth
every penny. Whoever's casting this show, I know each year
it's a tricky show to cast, to get celebrities who
can give up six weeks of their life. And it's
not like you just turn up and do an interview.
You've got to work all week in the in the
dance studio, and so casting these shows are very, very difficult. However,
whoever cast him genius, it really has worked. You know,
(09:51):
if you are associated with the biggest star in the world,
there's going to be a benefit of that. Now. Taylor
Swift recently announced that they did a Taylor Swift Night
last season. She watched it, so I do think when
they went on tour with Taylor or my Taylor, sources
say she's the best boss. She knows everyone's name, she's
kind to people. You become a little family if you
(10:11):
get on the road around the world, around America for
a couple of years, you do become very very tight.
And a lot of celebrities normally put their their backup dancers,
their backup singers in not as nice a hotel as
they stay in. So Madonna has an a list hotel
for her, and then all the crew is in a
nice hotel. But the four seasons Taylor doesn't do that.
(10:32):
They all stay together on the road. She goes to
cities where she doesn't know anybody, so they become friends.
They have dinner together, they hang out, they bowling together,
so she really does know him. So I bet she's
watching Gosh, if she could record a video message, well,
it probably would be unfair.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Hilaria will go back. Yeah, it's not she probably you
know what she probably should.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
I mean, maybe hopefully she's been advised do not tweet
and we do not instagram, because she'll put her thumb
on the scale, and.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
She'll put on the scale, turns up in that ballroom,
the plash.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
It's it's a rap, it's.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
A seed celebrity like this. Like when I was growing up,
Michael Jackson and Madonna were the biggest stars in the world. Huge.
I think Taylor Speaker, I think this might be the
biggest This is Beatles level. This is our Presley level.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Well I do.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
I mean, you know, it's tricky because I think that
she's benefiting from a different era of technology that allows
it to I think she's I would say, she's just
on par with what we had as Michael and and Madonna.
But she's just got a different reach because now technology
has expanded it further. But yeah, but she's you know,
but she is our She is today's version of what
we had because Madonna and Michael, I mean that they
(11:41):
were the universe, the universe.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
This is Taylor. This is Taylor Swift. OK. Moving along
A listeners are storming Jimmy Kimmel in a good way.
I'm told the booking department has exploded. Of sure, if
he's getting six million views of Plug a movie, you're
gonna want to go on his show. So publicists are
flooding aabc's love department. Initially, quite a few stars canceled.
They didn't want to be well, there was no show
(12:04):
to be on. Let's be honest. They canceled the show.
And so a lot of big, powerful publicists who decide,
really where these stars? Where? These celebrities appear to promote
their work. They were going with Fallon, they were going
with Colbert. Now I'm told Jimmy has become the king
of Night Live Jimmy Kimmel. That is, they've never seen
demand like this before. In fact, Colbert and Fallon are
(12:26):
even a little bit panicked by all this. All the
big stars now want to go not only where the
numbers are, but where the buzz is. They're very smart here.
They know that if they go on Jimmy Jimmy Kimmel
say something funny, it's going to be all over the internet.
So it's amazing how this is just picking up speed.
It is not going away. Okay, this story made me
(12:48):
scream Stussy Schroeder. I didn't really know her a reality
star and now she's going after Mega Markle. What is
going on?
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, it's I mean stassy shorter.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
She has her a flying as a reality show star.
But let's just face it, I think in her mind
she's a little more famous.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Than she actually is.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Right, So yeah, so she has basically turned Megan Markle
into her latest feud and Palace insiders, you know, palace
insiders don't really understand because the Duchess doesn't even know
she exists. As do many people who don't watch the
whole like vander Pump Reality. So the ex vander Pump
Rules star, she's thirty seven years old. She went on
this rant after she got left off of Megan's as
(13:29):
ever PR box list.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
She she was furious.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
About it, apparently claiming that she got snubbed. And for
those of you who are listening and don't know what
that is, it's like a lot of us in the
media or some people who are influencers or whatever, we
receive promotional items from it.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
It is nice old around the season.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Oscar season, and yeah, I have some beautiful things, but
we get them as complimentary gifts promoting the actual product.
So it's a it's an a it's an A lister's
list to be on if you're an influencer and you're
excited to be on it.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
But none of not all of us are, so that's
not right.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
So but anyway, Meghan doesn't even know who she is.
One Palace source told us, and so there was no snub.
Stasy is just not on the radar. Now, she insists
that she's defended Meghan when no one else did, but
Team Sussex still says, look Meghan's not micromanaging this situation.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
She just girl. She doesn't know who you are.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
So I would advise her just to take it and
run along and not be offended, because not everyone is
going to know who reality TV should.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
It's titled, it's so titled. It's so stassy. She thinks
she's Joe Rogan. She thinks that like she's Oprah off
the podcasting world. No, you're not Stassy. And let's remember too,
Meghan's not sitting in a garage with Harry bubble wrapping
the company. They have a publicist, they have marketing experts.
They put together the list and they send it to
the big, big podcast the Joe Rogans, the massive, massive shows.
(14:54):
They're the ones that get all all the free gears.
And so Stassy would love to be on this list,
and she's not in. Then let's add to this too.
And this is part of the story that nobody's talking about.
Stassy was fired for alleged racist behavior. Megan has spoken
out about racism. So even if Meghan knew who she
was and her name was on the list, I would
(15:15):
delete her. If I was the publicist for Megan Markle.
The last thing I want is somebody that got fired
from Bravo. It's really hard to get fired from brather
Andy Covin cannot be fired from Bravo, and he's done
some awful things, right, you know, they've gone to jail.
We've seen these little table tables spit at one another,
called each other really awful things. They've not been fired.
Stassy was from Brother, which is almost an impossible thing
(15:39):
to happen. So with Brathers firing you, you're a very
questionable person. So the last thing Meghan wants is somebody
like Stassy Schroeder associated with her brand. I don't even
want her. I wouldn't send her a Naughty but Nice
t shirt A we don't have any, but if we did,
we were looking forward. Then I don't want Stassy promoting
my brand. I don't want to be associated with her.
Really really ugly, ugly Pass Stassy, sit down. I've never
(16:04):
her a few times. She's very entitled. She's not the nicest.
I've met her several times.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Not for me.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Okay, we're going to take a quick break. Naughtyase you
are for me, and we will be right back. Welcome
back to the Naughty but Nice. Sammy Hairstrom shoot with
their dear friend Cory Andrew. Hey, Corey, let's get to
the polls that don't Taylor Swift's super Bowl performance is
probably not gonna happen. The talks have collapsed.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
It doesn't look.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
As if Taylor is going to do the super Bowl.
I'm told it's going to be Adele. So there's several
reasons why she doesn't want to do it now. She
doesn't really need the super Bowl. The super Bowl really
needs Taylor. There's lots of contractual stuff that's up in
the air. Remember too, the super Bowl performer does not
get paid. You don't get paid to perform at the
halftime show, so you do it for publicity. Does Taylor
need the publicity? Five billion people are on Social more
(16:51):
people are on Safe so are on her Instagram account
that watch the super Bowl? Yeah, so I don't think
it's gonna happen. Plus, let's remember her boyfriend could be
in the super so she get me busy with another
priority that night. And the President of the United States
is probably going to be there. He went to the tennis.
He likes to turn up at these things. Does she
want to perform to him? There's a lot of things
going on here. I'm told she's not going to do it.
(17:13):
It's probably going to be a Dell.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Who would you rather see?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Would you rather see Taylor or Adele? Eighty five percent
of Taylor Taylor Swift? I love Adele. I love Adele
Taylor Swift, though, I'm with you all the way. Hey,
don't forget to vote on today's Paul. Go to our
Twitter page a naughty, nice rob. A Facebook page is
naughty gossip and sure to check back on Monday to
hear your results are now. Oh, it's nicest holiday.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Well this could be a little naughty too, though if
you think about it. I don't know, it depends on
your that's always, yeah, the nastiest of the day. So
it is an exclusive that Robert Irwin is going to
dance in his underwear gosh for you know, ratings obviously, but.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah, and dance with the stars. He's going to be
ditching his cagies.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
For his Bond's underwear right in the ballroom. The twenty
one year old Aussie heart throb whose shock fans with
his racy ad campaign earlier this month. You know, he's
become Season thirty four's breakout star and viewers just cannot
get enough of, you know, of Robert and his sexiness.
And so one show insider tail Shooters tells hashtag shooter
scoop that the idea of him dancing in his undies,
(18:22):
well that's ratings gold. It would send the numbers through
the roof. So when you can't have a tailor connection,
just have a hot twenty one year old guy run
around in his underwear and that will also boost your ratings.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Either tactic will do.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
But it's the perfect mix of like a shocking and
yet safe source. So audiences are going to eat that
up now. I want them to be you know, let's
just say, you know, atatomically speaking, I hope that everything
is just.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Padded and protected.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
So we don't see too much, will be. He's a nice,
nice guy. People really love him. He's a sweet guy, tooty,
he's a real real ally till they to the LGBTQ
community wonderful. So he's a sweet, sweet guy and his
sister won the show, So don't that's right, Bindi, bindy,
And I know it is the day naughty, naughty, naughty.
Another Dancing at the Stars exclusive Hilaria Hillary Baldwin's accent
(19:11):
only shows up when the cameras are on. So she
recently did an interview with GBA and she was there
is vanish in the interview. However, once the camera stopped rolling,
she went back to Hillary from Boston. Hilary, Comeba, how
do you say?
Speaker 3 (19:27):
Cr Comba? Hilary?
Speaker 2 (19:30):
I did love that lad. One inside it tells me
she rehearses as Hillary, but she performs as Hilario. And
let's end with a moment. Stop waiting until you feel ready,
Stop waiting until you feel perfect, because that day it's
never gonna come. The truth is nobody ever built confidence
or success by sitting around and waiting. You build it
(19:52):
by showing up. Every time you show up, you cast
a vote for the person you're becoming, and those vote
add up. Cast that vote today, cast the vote for
the person you are becoming. Hey, that is it for
this week. How about me trying to fix your microphone?
Speaker 1 (20:11):
But as great to know what you listened and you're
really on top of our aspects of the show, So
I commend you on that.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
US Technical Wizards, thank you so much for listening to
The Naughty but Nice with Robert Corny Show, a production
of Elvistaurant and iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, wherever you listen, Leave us a
review if you can. They really really do help. And
remember altogether, now, if you're going to mean naughty.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
You got to be nice. It's not even nice first
ru
