Speaker 1 (00:12):
It's nice no no, no, no monk to the naughty
bernaisham your house drom shooter. It is Wednesday morning. Normally,
our friend Donnie joins us for technical issues. He can't
be with us today, so it's a solo show. But
don't worry. We've got a ton of gossip to get to.
What time is it, my friends? It is tea time,
big story at the top of the show. So Jeff
Bezos and Laurence Sanchez's wedding just a few days away.
(00:35):
It's turning into a little bit of a nightmare. So
plans are falling apart as guests are dropping out and Venice,
Europes in protests. Let me explain what I mean. So,
what was meant to be the wedding of the century
is quickly spiraling into a luxury meltdown. Sources tell me
(00:56):
that Jeff and Lawrence extravagant three day wedding in Venice
is unraveling as furious protesters take over the city. VIP
guests are quietly backing out, and even security teams are
raising red flags. Once it has told me quote, it's
turning into a pr disaster. They thought it would be
(01:19):
a fairy tale instead, it's looking like a hostile takeover
of Venice, and people aren't having it. On Monday, Green
Piece dropped a massive protest banner in the legendary center
Mark Square, showing a grinning face of bezos next to
the words quote if you can rent Venice for your wedding,
(01:40):
you can pay more taxes now. The banner set off
a wave of backlash online before and against the demonstrators
here are accusing the Amazon founder of underpaying workers mm hm,
dodging taxes while treating Venice like a private park. Locals
(02:01):
have even plastered the city with signs that read Venice
Land a playground fit for an oligarch and also to
quote no space for bezos. These are flyers that are
plastered all over Venice. Others are organizing plans to block
the canals with boats and life rafts. Oh and just
(02:23):
really protest this billionaire blowout. One person said, if Jeff
wanted a celebration, he's actually gonna get a rebellion. So
lots of stuff going on here. Part of me is
let them get married. Part of me has just let
them let them get married. It's their lives, it's their money.
But part of me two is after that rocket disaster.
(02:45):
Remember when Katie Perry went to space with Gail King
and Laurence Sanchez. It was so tone death. It was
absolutely tone death. Spending all this money, I hear it's
about fifty and person p fifty thousand dollars per person,
that's what they're spending. Fifty thousand dollars. Gosh, our wedding's
(03:06):
like one hundred and fifty two hundred dollars. The type
of weddings I go to, maybe five hundred if it's
a really fancy one. But there's amount of money. It
is obscene. There is so much good that could be
done in the world with this money. This wedding is
going to cost twenty to forty million dollars. And I
know people who work at Amazon and they do not
get paid what you think they do, and the hours
(03:29):
are outrageous. I just think this foger display of wealth
when we're all struggling. We are people out there are
really struggling. You might be struggling too. I'm not earning
what I used to earn. The world is changing, it's
changing really really quickly, and I think people are very
angry about all this, and to see somebody buy a city,
(03:51):
somebody by Venice. It just feels so extravagant, so out
of touch. Now there are reports and I broke the snows.
I'm glad it's being confirmed that instead of wedding gifts,
they don't want wedding gifts, they want donations to local charities.
So there is going to be some good that comes
out of this. But also to Venice is a very
(04:11):
small place. I don't know if you've been there to
be overrun or at least to absorb two hundred people.
They can do that. Venice is a place that can
accommodate two hundred people. They've got lots of hotels. However,
the harbor where people are going to put their private yachts,
apparently it's just choc a block of billionaires with these massive,
(04:32):
massive yachts that are going to get in the way.
And that's not what people want to spend their money
to see in Venice. They want gondolas, not yachts. It's
really tone deaf, naw Jeff and Lauren could have got
married if they wanted to get married in Italy, they
could have done like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Remember
when they rented a luxury castle a little way out
(04:53):
and they can pretty much isolate the wedding and not
interrupt the locals, the local economy, tourists. They didn't. They
decided they wanted this in the heart of Venice. If
you get married in the heart of a major city,
whether it be London, New York, or Paris, it's a
lot you can cause gridlock, you can really shut a
city down. And so I do understand why the locals
(05:16):
are getting really angry here. I do understand why people
are saying, he doesn't really pay all these taxes, but
yet he can afford to close down a major city.
So for me, the takeaway is this feels like that
Rocket Part two. That Rocket. Remember when that rocket went
to space and Katie Perry and Gail King all thought
(05:39):
they were astronauts, and the astronauts were like, oh, no, no,
Nor you're not an astronaut, You're a space tourist. And
that's what this feels like too. They are coming in,
they are pretending to be something they are not, and
what they are are people who have a lot of
money and a lot of power and are going to
(06:01):
really disrupt this world class city. So these two and
their guests can have the wedding of their dreams. I'm
not against rich people, I'm really not. They have worked hard.
He has worked very, very hard for his money. She's
worked hard too. She was not a billionaire though until
she met Jeff, and so they do have a lot
of money. But when money can buy power, when money
(06:24):
can buy access, when we are all struggling, and we are,
let's be honest out there, we thought things was going
to get better, We're going to get better, and they're
still pretty bad. I have friends that are really really struggling.
This feels like a complete waste of money, which brings
us to our pole question of the day. Jeff Bezos
and Lawrence Sanchez's wedding plans are falling apart, guests are
(06:45):
dropping out because they can't dock their yards, and all
the protests they're erupting in. Theness, do you think this
is tone death? Is this extravagant wedding? This is going
to rival the wedding of Harry and Megan, a royal wedding.
Is this tone death? Hey? Go vote on a Twitter
(07:08):
page at Naughty Knights Rob or a Facebook page which
is nuody Gossip and be sure to check back to
Marau to hear your results. Okay, moving along, Remember a
couple of days ago Harry allegedly put out an olive
branch to the Royals. Well, now I can tell him
it's been rejected because the Royal sphere another ambush as
trust hits an all time lower. So Harry might be
(07:31):
ready to make peace on his own terms, but the
family is not biting. Prince William and King Charles have
no intention of attending the twenty twenty seven in Victus
Games in Birmingham, so Harry, who heads up this organization,
They're having a huge ceremony in Birmingham not till twenty
twenty seven, so it's a little way off. And on
paper it looks like an olive branch because he invited
(07:54):
his dad, his brother are the Royals to be there.
But behind the scenes, sources tell me that nobody believes
it's in them and the concern is really simple that
this could be another trap. Maybe even Oprah and a
camera crew will be waiting in the wings inside of
saying that Harry has already approved the guest list and
really the wording for the formal invitations that were sent
(08:16):
to Bookingham Palace last month. The event scheduled on July
twelve to seventeen, twenty twenty seven, and unfortunately too, oh Harry,
it overlaps with Queen Camilla's eightieth birthday celebration, So that's
where the Royals are going to be. The Royals do
love charity and they do love showing using their power,
(08:36):
using their celebrity to get these charities some attention, but
they're not going to be doing it on Queen Camilla's
eightieth birthday. In fact, I'm told there might be a
concert of celebration in London, a free event for the
public to celebrate the Queen. King Charles is already talking
to several of his favorite performers. I hear Rod Stewart
(08:56):
is a name that keeps coming up, Diana Ross. He's
also friends with lots of different celebrities. I hear there
might be a big charity of it, maybe at the
London Pladium, maybe in the park, and that's how they
will celebrate Queen Camilla's eightieth thirty Where you know, about
an hour and a half two hours from London is Birmingham.
That's where I grew up. Harry will be there for
the Invictor's games. It's so sad, isn't it. It's so
(09:18):
sad that there's no trust. I find that almost impossible
to overcome. I can fall out with people, we can
have a cross word or two. But once I stop
trusting you, once I knew longer really trust you, then
I don't know if I can ever bounce back. And
that betrayal, that book, that interview with Oprah, Remember he
(09:40):
called Queen Camilla the devil. He really went in deep,
really deep on her. That's the love of King Charles's wife.
You're never ever, ever gonna beat the wife he reached out.
Some people are saying it's an olive branch. My sources
are telling me no one is biting. The Royals will
(10:04):
not be there. Kristin Chenowitz had a little bit of
a meltdown after an NBA national anthem backlash. People are
telling me she's deeply insecure. So the Wicked Star suffered
a full on emotional spiral backstage after her polarizing rendition
of the star spangled banner ahead of a game for
the NBA Finals. Sources say she was proud of the
(10:26):
performance until the comments started rolling in. The trolls hit
her where it hurt, and Kristen is more fragile when
people believe and she's trying to laugh it off, but
deep down she's incredibly insecure. Now, she did post a
very cryptic quote on her Instagram page saying, the price
of authenticity is being disliked. That is very very true.
(10:48):
I listened to this. I thought she was great, but
she sang it like an opera star. It's a hard song,
the Star Spangled Banner. I know a lot of celebrities
who have been offered to perform that and they pass
just because the song. It's such a difficult song. It's
so rangy, it jumps up and down, there's so many
words to remember. It's a very tricky song, and so
(11:08):
a lot of people don't want to do it. Kristen's
a trained singer, but she is trained in a very
operatic Broadway type style, and so it's quite different from
what we're used to hearing. And so I listened to it.
She's in tune, she remembers the words. It's just a
little bit Phantom of the opera is. It's very very grand,
it's very over the top, it's very very larger than life,
(11:32):
very very dramatic. I loved it. That's what Broadway is
to me. I love those big Broadways, fabulous moments. It's
over the top moments. Have a look at it. It's online.
So she is being criticized, Kristin, don't take it personally.
Don't be insecure about this. You do not have to
prove you are a good singer to anybody. You are
good singer. Everybody who knows you, worked with you, or
even listen to you can say. You do not have
(11:55):
to worry about that. And as far as the trolls
are concerned, oh please zip its it. It's a bit.
You might not like the style. I get it. A
lot of people don't like that Broadway style. They like
rock and roll or pop style, don't they. I love it.
I love and over the top dramatic diva singing those
high notes. And that's what Kristen certainly did. Some people
didn't like it. Unfortunately she's listening to them, though, And
(12:17):
that's the sad thing, isn't it. I thought she was much, much,
much less needy than that. And so, Kristen, girl, if
you're listening Gala Loo alone, start listening to all those
mean folks out there. You are fabulous, okay. Arianna Grande
is stung by a Barbara Streis and Wicked snub beneath.
Sources are telling me it felt like a velvet gloved slap.
(12:40):
So in a interview with Rioty, my friend Mark Malkin
did the podcast with Barbara Streiss and it is fantastic.
Mark's a great reporter. He asked her about Wicked, and
she said, my grandchildren. I showed it to my grandchildren
and they loved Wicked. Well, Mark's no faul. He pressed
again and said, did you love it? Barbara Paust then
performed a signature streisand side step. She said quote, I
(13:04):
was just watching their reaction that the grandchildren, they were
totally fine with the Witches. I was surprised afore and
a six year old, you know. Translation, she saw it
and she's saying nothing about it now. Inside has told
me that Arianna's a little bit stung by this. She
played Glinda in the Mega Mega Movies made almost a
(13:27):
billion dollars, but she was privately quite crushed by this.
Asor said, quote, Arianna adores Barbara and was so so
proud of her performance in Wicked. Arianna was hoping for
at least a little bit of praise and instead crickets. Well,
the silence is deafening, and all them all awkward because
Arianna appears on Barbara Streison's upcoming duet album, which drops
(13:52):
on Friday. So here it is. Arianna is performing with
Barbara on her new album, and she's asked about Wicked
and she couldn't just say I loved it. I just
saying there's a few words. No, oh, Barbara, Barbara, Barbara. Okay,
quickly before we get a break. This is concerning. So
did his in a circle are planning a private victory party.
Sources tell me so did. He isn't waiting for the
(14:14):
final verdict, which I think is going to come next week,
and according to people in his inner circle, he already
thinks he has one. Multiple sources tell me that Did.
His team is quietly planning being called a massive, no
expense spared blowout in the next few weeks to celebrate
his expected acquittal. I don't so sure, but Puff seems
(14:37):
to think this is happening. I'm told it's going to
be in New York City, DJ is and even a
documentary crew. There lots of champagne. It's going to make
Studio fifty four look like a dry wedding. They are
acting as if it's a done deal. The mood in
his camp is very very confident. They think they are
ready to party. They think he is going to do
(14:57):
just fine. Inside to say, though, he will never forget
who stood by him and who didn't ouch. This isn't
just about clearing his name moving forward if he gets off.
This is about revenge. Oh what do you think that
verdict is coming down next week? Okay, We're going to
(15:17):
take a quick break and we will be right back.
Welcome back to the Naughty but Nashammy host rom. She said, Hey,
let's get to the polls that dad are. Last Cherry
talked about Prince William. He was the one alone that
made the decision that there will be no royal future
for little Archie and Lilybet that's Harry and Meghan's children.
Is this the right decision or the wrong decision? Let's
(15:38):
have a look, split down the middle fifty to fifty.
I totally get it. Harry and Meghan were the ones
that dropped out of being working royal, so they're the
ones that stepped away, But they didn't say they didn't
want their children to be members of the royal family,
and so now the choices up to William, and sources
are saying Prince William has made it very very clear
(16:00):
going to be no official royal future. There will always
be a prince and a princess, but they will have
no official role within the royal family once he is king.
And we are split down the middle and that. Some
people are saying, oh, it's wrong, they're children, let them decide,
and some are saying, no, it's their mom and dad
have already decided. They step down. I could go either
way on this one. Nought is hey, don't forget to
(16:21):
vote on today's pole. Got our Twitter page at Naughty
Nice rob Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip. I'm sure
to check back Tamara, hear your results, and now it's
time for her nisest. Oh the day ah our nice
is down. Their day is Taylor Swift, who's all smiles
as she supports Travis Kelcey at training camp kickoff in Nashville.
(16:44):
So Taylor made a surprise appearance at Travis's tight End
University training camp. It makes me love tight End. I
know nothing about football, but I'm sure that's a football term.
It's in Nashville, Tennessee. The singer a spotted beaming while
standing at the bar on Mundane night. A fan took
a photograph and shared it on x She appeared to
(17:04):
be mingling with all the other intendees and Travis, just
like a regular person. It was not her moment to shine,
This was Travis's. I love that about Taylor. So many
celebrities would go looking ridiculous. Lady Gaga would turn up
in a meat dress. You know, it would be so
over the top. Travis is there looking like a really
pretty girl next door and nobody, well, they all know
she's a superstar, but she's not acting like one. She's
(17:27):
acting like a regular supporter, supporting her guy. And I
think that is just beautiful and nicest the day. And
now I naughtyous the day, naughty, naughty, noughty. Prince Harry
begged Meghan, begged Meghan to not launch her wian on
his mommy's birthday. Out Meghan so. According to sources, the
(17:48):
Duke of Sussex was deeply uncomfortable with the decision to
release Meghan's as Ever Rose on July first, the day
his late mother, Princess Diana would have turned sixty four.
Sources say Harry told Meghan directly, please not on my
mom's birthday. He didn't want Diana's memory to be commercialized,
(18:11):
especially not with alcohol. But despite those concerns, sources say
Meghan and her team are pushing forward, assisting insisting that
the date is already locked in, and claiming any connection
to Diana's birthday was coincidental. Yeah, I could believe that,
But if it was a coincidence. Even if it was
a coincidence, it's probably not the right day to be
(18:34):
selling hocking your latest product. Maybe can you push it
forward a day? Or can you push it back a day?
Does it have to be on the day that the
late great Princess Diana would have turned sixty four? Ouch
and autist of the day. Hey, let's end with the
(18:55):
moment of rob. You rob, You get a rob, You
get a rob. You won't always be motivated, but you
will be disciplined. Motivation is a feeling. It's garbage. It
comes and goes, and it shows up late and it
disappears when things get hard. Motivation will not inspire you. Discipline,
that's what is your anchor. You can't rely on moood
(19:15):
to build a life that you want. You have to
rely on commitment, show up anyway, do the work anyway.
Be disciplined, because that's where the real results live. Not motivation,
not a feeling a doing. I do the work every day,
(19:35):
even days I don't want to do it. I don't
wait for motivation to tap me on the shoulder and say, Hi, Ram,
do you want to play today? Do you want to
create today? No, because it's never there when you need it.
Discipline is hey. Thank you so much for listening to
the Naughty but Nice with Robin the noughties. You're the
co hosts today. We're a production of Elvis Duran and iHeartRadio.
(19:56):
Don't forget to subscribe on the iHeart app Apple podcast.
Ever you listen, leave us a review if you can,
and remember, let me hear you singing along. If you're
going to be naughty, you've got to be let me
hear you nice, you morvelous, be nice. It's not even
(20:17):
nice with Bro
