Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice. Shoo, it's time, hell Lemon.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Welcome to the naught even nice shamy hairs. Rob Shooter,
I forgot my name one of.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Those weeks already.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
My name is Rob Shooter. I was gonna say my
name is Rob Monday, which is actually rather nice name.
But my name it is Rob Shooter. And it's Friday.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
It's not even Monday. Go figure. My mind is a
very odd thing.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Joining us every Friday is our dear friend Corey Andrew.
I got that right, Hey, Corey, are you there?
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Hello everyone? Hello, Rab Monday, Darling.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Oh, my mind is puddled.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
You know, even on a good week, on a week
that I don't have a lot to do, a quiet week,
my mind is a little off. But on these weeks
sometimes when it's so busy with royal news and all
the other stuff. But it's lovely to have a Friday.
It's lovely to get to Friday. And I could not
enjoy being on a Friday with anyone more than you,
Corey and the Noughtiest. So let's jump into the other show.
(01:09):
What time is it? My Friends and tea time big
story at the top of the show. So Jimmy Kimmel's
Allies Jennifer Aniston and Howard Stern have turned their back
on ABC, So Hollywood is closing ranks around Jimmy, and
insiders are telling me that his celebrity friends are planning
to distance themselves from his former network. He's really really
(01:30):
close with jen Anderston Aniston. He's also very very close
with Howard Stern. Lots of people now are loyal in
his inner circle and they see this as a test case.
If ABC can muscle Jimmy, they can muscle anybody, and
Jennifer and Howard don't want to be part of this.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Already, I'm told.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
That the suspension of Jimmy's show has sent shockwaves through Hollywood.
Now publicists are really thinking do they want their clients
on ABC, ABCO, Good Morning America, The View, which might
be in trouble, and also to Live with Kelly and Mark.
Those are three massive, massive shows, and so now everybody
is reconsidering this. I don't want to get into the
(02:13):
politics of this, because we are not a political show.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
But what I do want to.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Get into is the friendship of this. If my friend,
mister if Corey got yanked from a channel, would I
stand behind them? And I think the answer is Yes.
I defend my friends, I really really do, particularly if
I think they're in the right. But even if I
sometimes think they're in the wrong, I might say to
them privately, I don't think you did that quite right. However,
(02:38):
I still love you and I will support you. This
is about friendship here. This is not about politics. This
is about friendship. What do you think, Corey, should they
stand up for their friend Jimmy Well?
Speaker 3 (02:49):
I think if they were up and coming artists and
a were really risking their livelihood, I can understand why
or how that might be tricky. However, considering the wealth
of Jennifer Anniston and Howard Stern, they are the truth
to power if you will, that has the means to
stand up to something like this, if they believe it
without having to risk their lively. So I think closed.
(03:12):
So I think people who are at that level, if
they believe in something, yes, stand up because you can.
You can afford to lose a paycheck if it happens.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
That is so smart.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I never thought about that, Corey. At my stage in
my career, I can walk away from stuff. I don't
need to do everything. I'm very, very grateful for twenty
thirty years. Though I paid my dues, I did stuff
that I didn't really want to do, but I sort
of hat to for the money and getting that next
step ahead. But when you were Jennifer, when you were Howard,
(03:40):
you really don't have to do anything. Jennifer never ever
needs to work against She certainly doesn't need to do
another interview. And if you don't want to do one network,
there are so many other places now, including social media.
Somebody is because Jen she's going to get more people
watch her on her TikTok or I don't think she's
on TikTok, but I know she's on Instagram, social media,
(04:00):
going to get more people watching them there in any case,
So yes, it is interesting, isn't it?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
When when are you brave?
Speaker 2 (04:06):
When are you? When are you a coward? I struggle
with this. I try not to go on TV shows
that that alarm basically, not just that I don't agree with,
but the views on certain shows, the views on certain tiktoks.
I was recently invited onto a monster podcast. It's not
(04:26):
Joe Rogan, but it was a really big podcast. But
I listened to it and it was really mean and aggressive.
I'm not even going to mention the name of it
or the politics of it. Just the vibe of it
was full of hate. The vibe was not a fun
thing that it was very masculine, very helper, and I passed.
And you know, it probably could have got us more
listeners to this show. It probably could have got me
(04:48):
more subscribers to my substack, but I said no, thank you.
And I have this challenge with with my career all
the time. I'm sure you do too. You know, ten
years ago, when I was really starting out in this genre,
Perez Hilton was the king of it. But I wasn't
willing to call people names or your sex objects, sex
sex toys on the face like.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
I mean, he did some really wed.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Then, and we've moved on and I think we've forgiven him,
I think, but I'm just not willing to do that. Corey,
how far are you willing to go? We know that
that you're so good at this. We also know too
that you have an amazing side hustle as a singer,
as a performer. How far would you go to get
that number one record?
Speaker 3 (05:31):
You know, you know you raise a great point too.
You know, it's about your own personal decision about can
you look at yourself in the morning or in the
mirror and say, you know what I stood on my
morals and and and I don't care about the money.
If you can say that, and I can say that, like,
there's certain gigs and performances I would not do if
(05:52):
I did not agree with the organization. Let's say that
wanted to hire me, because I have to maintain integrity
in my art. But I understand artists who do it.
So I don't really want to pass judgment. But you know,
let's just say there's certain inaugurations I wouldn't perform at,
but I understand if other people do because they need
it financially. So I think it's tricky. You know, it's tricky,
(06:14):
isn't it.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
And if you have a ton of money, it's easy
to make the decision. I laugh when people are like, oh,
they made a really good decision. I said, they never
had a bad decision to make. Every decision was every
option was a good option. I didn't have that growing up.
All my options were pretty bad. Note of them were
that good options. So my choices couldn't be great choices
because my options were not great options.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Right, Everything was better than that.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Everything was not great here, and so I do have
a lot of empathy, a lot of understanding for people
who have to make these decisions. I understand what it's
like to not be able to afford your rings. I'm
very grateful, I'm very blessed. I'm in a position where
I can say no, Jennifer Anderston and Howard Stern, they
(06:58):
can say no. But you're right up and coming artists,
artists that have a new album out, people that need
to get on the View and Good Morning America and
Kelly Ripper?
Speaker 3 (07:08):
What will they do?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
I think maybe what a better question is here, and
I pose this rhetorically. I'm not looking for an answer,
is what does Kelly Ripper do? What do people on
the shows do? What do people on the the View do?
What does what does Good Morning America Robin Roberts? What
does she think about this? George Stephanopolis, he is already
work was sued fifteen million dollars for something that he said.
(07:31):
How does George feel about this? It is scary times,
my friends. Once again, we are an entertainment podcast, so
we are really just touching the surface of this and
hopefully doing it in a way where we can talk
about friendships and decisions we make in life rather than
anything too political. But this does bring us to our
pole question of the day. Jimmy Kimmel's allies Jennifer and
(07:53):
Stern and Howard Stern have turned their back on ABC.
Should celebrities boycott networks that they don't believe him? Would
you turn up on a network that was just against
your values, against who you are? Who did stuff that
you didn't agree with, but it was gonna help your career.
It's going to sell your movie, he's gonna sell your
(08:15):
radio show, it's gonna sell your podcast. What do you think?
A tough decision? There? Hey, go vote on our Twitter
page at Naughty and Ice Rob. Our facebook page is
Naughty Gossip. I'm sure to check back on Monday to
hear your results. And now, ooh, it's time for hour.
It's not time for hour. I'm all over the place.
Now it's time for another delicious item? What are you
(08:38):
working on?
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (08:39):
I call this the beauty battle, honey, The beauty Battle
of the Kardashians is what I call this one. So
all right, So Kim Kardashian, she's officially she's shutting skin.
That's her brand. You know her underwear undergarment brand, and
she's quietly plotting the twenty twenty six debut of Skim's Beauty.
(09:00):
So insiders are telling hashtag shooter Scoop that the move
could spark a billion dollar beauty war with her little
sister Kylie Jenner, because Kylie built an empire off of
lip kits. You remember that whole little it was like,
it was like a little tiny lipstick thing that expanded
to over fifteen thousand lipsticks, and then she turned that
into a billion dollar brand seemingly overnight. But I will
(09:22):
say that's the brilliance of mom Chris Jenner. Let's just
give her, give the props, because she give the props.
He's an amazing marketing woman that she's a machine. But anyway,
Kim's about to come for that crown. She is going
to try to snatch that crown from Kylie because now
she herself is going to launch a cosmetics brand as well,
and she's going to not just have lipstick, She's gonna
(09:42):
have everything from you know, shapewear and beauty all under
one unstoppable brand. But let's not forget now, Kylie Cosmetics
was once valued at one point two billion dollars when
the big global cosmetics giant named Cody that we all
know it's like a global, a global brand, they scooped
up fifty one percent of Kylie Cosmetics back in twenty
(10:02):
nineteen for over half a billion dollars half half yes,
half a billion dollars. It was six hundred million, was
the amount. And it made that brand a household name,
being sold in Alta and Macy's and Norse strums. And
so you know now that Kim's going to come for
the beauty brand. There's some inside so we're of saying
that Kylie is now going to try to rebuy control
(10:23):
from Cody Wow, so she can kind of get back
in the beauty game and now compete with her sister
Kim as Kim expands her global brand to cosmetics. So
it is a battle of the beauty titans here in
the Kardashian plan. And I don't know, do you think
that you think that Kim will steal the thunder from Kylie.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Rod I would never ever underestimate Kim Kardashian. It's still
so easy to make fun of the Kardashians. I don't jealous.
We're a bit angry with their success. They are successful. Yeah,
like Kylie did turn a little lip blass into a
billion dollar brandy. Now what I think is interesting here,
and we make this mistake in our own lives, is
(11:01):
we think we're all in competition with everybody and really not.
There are enough people to buy lipsticks that both of
these brands can exist. Really, do we need another lip gloss? No,
but if you create one, I'm thinking of you, Kylie Jenna.
I'm thinking of Hailey Baldwin of a beauty brand, and
she's really close with Kylie. There are enough people out there. Look,
(11:25):
how many beauty lines do you already have? Este Lord
a Mad Bobby brand? We have so many of them.
I do think the market will absorb another brand. I
think Kim will be really good at this. And at
the end of the day, yes, having having Kim as
your creator, your owner, your spokesperson is very very helpful
because she has hundreds of millions of dollars to spend
(11:47):
and also too, she has hundreds of millions of followers
on social media. I think that ultimately the product is
going to have to be great. I don't use Kylie jennas,
I don't use that much makeup when I'm not on TV.
I'm not a lot when I'm on TV. I've not
tried Kylie's brand, but my my girlfriends and even some
of my my my male friends do. They tell me
(12:09):
it's terrific. They said the product is really good. They
said if it wasn't good, it wouldn't be worth a
billion dollars. A lot of wives try.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
To do this.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
They slapped their names on.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Stuff and the product's awful.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yeah. Yeah, if you've ever tasted one of those Real
housewife my goodness said to myself, what member when Ramoter
had that wine collection? Oh, she sent me a bottle
of that wine. I couldn't drink.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
I didn't even know she had a wine collection. That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Spent out for a drink of coffee with the beauty critic.
Can't believe it's no not the beauty critic. Yes, yes,
the the critic at the New York Times, the fragrance
critics critic. And he just smelled fragrances all time, had.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
A good shower.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Before I saw him, I thought he'll be stiffing at me,
sniffing away at me, And so I asked him, what
is actually a really great celebrity fragrance because there's so
many of them, and he said, most of them are dreadful.
They're just vinegar with a name on the bottle. Of
this he said, Sarah Jessica Parkers is great. He said,
it's a really great fragrance, and that's why it is
(13:20):
so successful. At the end of the day, content really
does count. Part of the reason this podcast has become
so successful, Thank you Naughty. Is not only that Corey
and I are charming.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
And witty and very handsome. It's the content.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
You come to us because we have great content. Other
entertainment reporters tell me they can't wait for us to
post this show at nine am so I can steal
all my content. I said, how rude. I'm glad you're listening,
but how rude. I often find things that we say
on this show as the day goes on, it trickles
out into the entertainment columns and websites out There never
(13:58):
any credit, but that's it. But I love that it
is a bad content. So if the lipsticks the beauty
line is great, it will be just fine.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Moving along, Melissa and Teresa from the Real Housewives, their
future hands by a thread. So they're rebooting The Jersey Housewives.
Nobody's been called jets and Melissa has not been invited back.
Teresa has not been invited back. However, they have been
told they're either going to take both of them on
either of them, and the only way they're going to
take both of them is the two of them promised
(14:27):
to work together. They hate each other so much they
won't even be in the same room. And they're like,
we're paying you a lot of money, ladies, you gotta
sit down. This is a storyline. Put that to one side.
You can hate each other in real life. It is acting,
and really these reality shows are get it together. You
both got They earn a massive amount of money, not
quite as much as everybody thinks, but it's about three
(14:47):
four hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
That's a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
To do what six seven, eight, nine weeks off were
They're both going to blow it. They're both If you're
listening and they do listen to the show, Lava Lab,
just suck it up.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Act.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
What do you think, Corey, Well, it's kind of funny.
It's almost like what we just talked about, I mean,
in a different way about your values, like what do
you want to do and if you can afford to
say no. I mean, you know, a lot of these shows,
as you and I have discussed in the past, they
seemingly aren't good for your your energy, your spirit, right
they are. They promote bad behavior, They're very negative and
(15:22):
in fact, there's a bit of a pushback right now
because the world's so divisive. Do people really want to
see another episode of Teresa flipping a table in a restaurant?
Like I think we have enough of it, right and
maybe they need to repair their own brands, possibly by
staying away. So if you are listening, Teresa, I would say,
and Melissa, maybe reinvent yourself. You've got the fame and notoriety.
Maybe reinvent yourself in a different light that's more positive,
(15:44):
and don't do the show.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Oh you're so nice.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Nice. I'm the Norse. You're nice.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Okay, We're gonna take a quick break and we will
be right back. Welcome back to the naught even nice
and rob shooting like your friend Cory Andrew. Hey, Corey,
let's get to the Yesterday, we broke the news that
jay Z and Beyonce are livid that their casino was defeated.
They wanted to put a casino in Times Square. Times
Square said thanks for Novolk, and now now they're threatening
(16:12):
to leave New York City altogether. Does New York City
need jay Z more than jay Z needs New York City.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Let's have a look.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
No, the answer is no, So only twenty percent think
New York City needs. It's lovely to have him, but
you know what, New York survived for hundreds of years.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Without Jay and Beyonce before they arrived.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
It will survive for hundreds, hopefully thousands of years with Adam.
It's lovely having Jay and Beyonce in New York. But
we're gonna be okay. We lost Liza Manelli. If we
can survive.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Losing lies, we can survive here.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I don't forget to vote under Day's probably lost Barbara
Streison too. I still think of her as a New Yorker.
Don't you in La now, Melibu? Yeah, they're in Hollywood. Oh,
I think it's that Middler's still here. Hey, Bete, Betete,
don't forget to vote on Today's Paul. Go to a
Twitter page at Naughtey nice romp Facebook page to check
(17:10):
back a Monday to hear your results are not. Oh
it's time for Nicest of the Day.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Yes, yes, So it's exclusive another Taylor Swift story. And
you know who doesn't love one of those, because they're always, always,
always popular. So Taylor Swift has a she's a new
serious XM channel, and it's collected to outdraw Howard Stern.
So it's like a battle for the serious XEM crown,
just like the Kardashian battle for the Beauty Crown. And
(17:37):
Insider's tail hashtag shooter scoop that Taylor Swift may soon
dethrone Howard Stern as the satellite giant's biggest attraction. I
think she will. But you know it's interesting about this
so well, to begin with, she's got a Channel thirteen
launching this this Saturday, just thirteen before the release of
her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which has
already taken over all the headlines as a big anticipated album.
(17:59):
So she's got the momentum behind her to launch this
new serious channel, of course, and Howard Stern has been
the king of the radio for a while and the
king of serious XM as well. When he really at
his peak was demanding like commanding like twenty million listeners
at one at one time, but now his numbers have
dwindled in some markets to under one hundred and fifty
thousand listeners. Really really, yeah, that's for us, that would
(18:21):
be like we've been getting like Emmy awards with those numbers,
but for him it's down, you know. So they say that,
you know, Taylor may become the focus of the network,
of the of the of the entertainment giant serious excent,
and they may put all their money and resources behind her.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
But I will say it's gonna be huge.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
There's two things though. One is that just one thing.
They're different genres. I don't know if this's a fair competition.
That's interesting. You know, she's gonna have a music pop
culture of based kind of existence there, and Howard Stern
is still talk radio. So I don't know if it's
a fair comparison.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Yeah, they're not going to compete against each other. But
Taylor's gonna win on total numbers. Yeah, they just got
a different audience. But Taylor's numbers are extraordinary. I can
not wait. And now I know she's your resources. Tell
me that Alec Baldwin has become a nightmare in the ballroom.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
So Halari, Hillary.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Has debuted on Answering with the Star. She was pretty good, Actually,
I was really impressed. However, her husband is a bossy
boots and bossing people around.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Back off, Alex.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
This is HILARI. Let's end with her moment. Some chapters
aren't meant to be fixed, They're just meant to be closed.
So not every part of your journey your story needs
a resolution. Not every ending comes with neat answers and
a perfect bow. In fact, some chapters aren't broken, they're
(19:37):
just finished. And the hardest thing to accept is that
closure doesn't always mean repair.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
That's hard, I love.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Sometimes closure simply means deciding to stop rereading the same
page over and over again. Letting go is not failure,
it's wisdom. Naughties, give yourself, give your self permission to
stop trying to fix what isn't meant to be saved.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
That's deep today.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Hey, thank you so much for listening to the Naughty
but Nice with Broban Corey Show, a production of iHeartRadio.
Don't forget to subscribe on the iHeart Radio app podcast. Listen,
leave us a review if you can, and remember altogether.
Now let me hear your singing along.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
If you're going to be naughty, n
