Hollywood is in mourning following the sudden death of Cosby Show star Malcolm-Jamal Warner at 54 — but the tragedy has ignited fresh controversy, as his family remains bitterly divided over whether to invite disgraced co-star Bill Cosby to the funeral. Meanwhile, the music world is saying goodbye to another legend: Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness — Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who once dominated global attention, have quietly vanished from public view, with insiders noting their latest Netflix projects didn’t even crack the platform’s Top 300.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Sure, it's time lell welcome through the naughty but nice
sham your house, Rob Shooter. It is Wednesday morning. Now,
normally you're very lucky every Wednesday. Our dear friend Donnie
Meacham joins us. However, today his mommy's visiting him in LA.

(00:29):
I love this. Since Donnie moved to La. His relationship
that he's spoken about on the show, which has been
challenging with his mom in the past, has got really,
really good now and so they're having a fantastic time
together enjoying La. It warms my heart. But what it means, Naughties,
is that we're doing the show together today. It's just
you and me. Don't worry. We've got a ton of

(00:52):
a gossip to get to. Let's jump right in. What
time is it, my friends? It is tea time. Did
you sing along? I bet you did? Thank you very much, Okay.
A sad story at the top of the show. The
Prince of Darkness has taken his final bower. Ozzie Osborne,
the heavy metal icon and founding member of Black Sabbath,

(01:14):
has died at the age of seventy six. His family
confirmed the heartbreaking news with a statement saying the legendary
rocker passed away surrounded by love. Quote. It is with
more sadness than mere words can convey that we have
to report that our beloved Ozzie Osborne passed away this morning.

(01:39):
The statement was signed by his wife Sharon, and his
children Jack, Kelly, Emilie and Lewis. They went on to say, quote,
whilst with his family, he was with his family and
surrounded by love, and we ask everyone to respect our
family privacy. At this time, the exact cause of death

(02:02):
has not been released. Now. This comes just weeks after
he was surrounded on stage by his fans and fellow
rockers for a reunion tour in Birmingham, England, That's where
I'm from. He had a brilliant time that evening. He
spent the entire evening on my throw and clearly he
couldn't walk, but he looked great, he sounded great, and

(02:25):
I think it gave him real, real joy. Just on
a personal note here, I have interviewed, spent time with
pretty much every celebrity out there. OSSI was one of
the best. He was really cool, he was really down
to earth. All the trappings of rock stars screaming and
shouting and managers have mean, difficult and agents. He had those,

(02:46):
but he never ever exploited them. He did not want
some manager shouting at you or being a bully, as
he did it himself. He didn't shout, but he did
all the work himself. And it was remarkable spend time
with somebody so kind. That's not a word I often
use with celebrities. I know a ton of them. They're
not very kind. In fact, a lot of them are
really not very good people. Ossi was and that was

(03:08):
the irony. Once he put on a show of being
the prince of darkness, Satanic dark. My goodness, he bit
the head off a bat. However, he told me he
doesn't want to be remembered for that. He wants to
be remembered as a family man. And we saw that
on the reality show. So not only did he help

(03:30):
create heavy metal, that is absolutely true. A lot of
the music experts are saying that today he also helped
create reality TV. Very few stars have as bigger impact
in two genres as Arsie Osborne. A lot of stars
are superstars, there's no denying that. But what Arsie he
did is later on his quiet career, when often now

(03:52):
your records are not selling so well, you're not playing
as a bigger venues and not on the radio anymore.
He created reality TV. You can not underestimate the power
of his reality show. I worked at VH one for
a couple of years on my own show, and Ozzie
was the king of the building. He had made VH one,
He had made that company more money than anybody else

(04:15):
with his reality show. And because of his show, we
got Housewives, we got Kardashians, we got Jessica and Nick
and Newlyweds, and so all those reality shows that we
love came after Ozzie Osborne and the secret of the show.
I asked executives, I asked the boss of the company,
what was the secret, and he said it was Ozzi

(04:36):
was the glue that held that family together. And it
was so funny to see him make eggs and shuffle
around the house and then on stage he was the sadistic,
screaming bat eating persona, but in person he was a
really good family man. Hey, rest in power. Moving along

(04:57):
more news. We touched on this yesterday, but Malcolm Jamal Warner,
his family now is in turmoil over the funeral plans
and whether or not to invite Bill Cosby. This has
turned into a big thing. So Hollywood is still reeling
from the shocking death of the Cosby alum, but behind

(05:17):
closed doors, a new heartbreak is taking center stage, whether
or not to invite Bill Cosby to the funeral. So
several sources have told me that the family is grieving
bitterly here. But they're also divided. Quote. Some say Bill
helped launch his career and deserves a moment to say goodbye.

(05:39):
Others are saying his presence would turn the service into
a scandal, a total media circus. They both can be
right here. I think it would be a media circus,
but also to does he deserve a moment to say goodbye? Maybe?
But does that have to be so public now? Cosby,
who is eighty six years old himself, remains one of

(06:00):
pop culture's most controversial figures, despite his twenty twenty one
release from prison after his conviction was overturned. Yet his
name still sparks fury and fear and now threatens to
overshadow the farewell of this beloved star. What do you

(06:21):
do here? No data has been set yet for the funeral,
but these conversations are going on. We spoke about it
very briefly yesterday, but he deserved its own segment on
today's show. It's so deep, isn't it? This is about Malcolm.
This is about Malcolm Jamal Warner say his name tragically

(06:43):
taken away from us way too young. On vacation with
his wife, his daughter was swimming, a riptile ripped him out.
There were no lifeguards on the beach. He is now dead.
What do they do? Bill Cosby has put out a
statement that alone was a little bit jarring. Do you

(07:03):
think he should be invited to the funeral? That's gonna
be our poll question of the day. Malcolm Jamal Warner's
family is in turmoil over the funeral and whether or
not to invite Bill Cosby. Our question is very bold today.
Should Bill be invited to the funeral? What do you think? Yes?

(07:24):
Or no? Hey? Go vote on our Twitter page at
Naughty Knights rob our facebook page is Normady Gus in
the amby Sheila to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Okay,
moving along, Megan and Harry are in trouble again as
they vanish from the spotlight. And what makes this even
more painful as nobody seems to have noticed So the

(07:46):
Royal rebels who once ruled the headlines, now they can't
even crack Netflix's top three hundred. So Netflix put out
a list of all their shows in the top three hundred,
and crickets from the Royals. Harry and Meghan are watching
their stardom quietly evaporate. Once not so long ago, they

(08:07):
were the toast of Tinseltown, and now the Sussexes are
struggling to stay relevant. Meghan's new lifestyle show, It's called
With Love, however, it has turned out to be a
complete dud, drawing abysmal viewers and scathing reviews. Now Harry's
documentary about Polo that did even worse, barely making a splash,
and now their one hundred million dollar Netflix deal it

(08:30):
is not going to be renewed. So a couple of
things here, Maybe the most important is the last thing
I said, The money's gone. How are these two going
to earn money? They live like royals, no pun intended.
They live very, very large, but they don't have the
money coming in to support that. They've got to figure
out a way to make money. Maybe equally devastating is

(08:54):
people have just got sick of them. This is what
they call over exposure. In my pr days, in my
magazine days, you could see it happening all the time
to celebrities. They just wouldn't stop, to the point where
you just get sick of them and you just want
to break. It's like an annoying friend who's always there,
just always complaining, always being annoying, and in the end
you just need a break. I think the public need

(09:16):
a break from Harry and Megan. I get it. I
get when they left the Royal family, they felt, this
is our moment, this is our chance to make tens
of hundreds of millions of dollars, set ourselves up for lives,
make ourselves into American royals. And they went at it
in a way that some people are saying is just
it was too aggressive, it wasn't really organic. And also

(09:39):
to constantly bashing the family. I've said this before, I
will say it again. The only reason we are interested
in this couple is the one subject that they seem
to be running away from the Royal family. They've got
to sit down and figure out, who are we, what
are we going to do next? How are we going
to make some money? Do we need to live this big?
Because they sort of blew it. And I think too,

(10:00):
they need new people around them. Whoever is advising them,
I don't think you're doing a very very good job.
After they left Britain, there was an opportunity to really
transform not just their lives, but everybody's lives that they
could possibly touch, charities, organizations, building bridges, But no, they've

(10:20):
burnt every bridge out there. You've got to be honest here.
Some of this, too, is Harry and Meghan's fault. You
can always blame people around them, but they're the boss.
If you hire a terrible manager, that's your fault. Yes
you've got an awful manager, but you let it happen.
You're the boss. You're paying all these people to give
you terrible advice. I think it's time for them to

(10:41):
go away for a little bit, to have a reset,
to rethink this. And the big question i'd ask them
is who are you? What are you going to do next?
And if they can answer that, and why that's really important?
Why are you doing this? And if they can answer that,
I think that'd be much much better than sitting down
with Oprah doing tell all books, do something that really

(11:03):
really matters. I'm rooting for you, But I only if
you're going to get another chance. Okay, moving along, Benson Boom,
who exploded onto the pop scene, is having a bit
of a meltdown, worried that he's going to be a
one hit wonder. So the twenty three year old sensation,
let's be honest, he is a sensation, is privately panicking
that his follow up album, American Heart, has flopped. Heart

(11:27):
sales were anemic, reviews Chile and fans they're not biting.
Sources tell me he's terrified. This is every artist's worst nightmare,
that you peak, that your peak came with your last single.
His last single was huge, and it was everywhere, and
we saw him doing backflips off pianos all around the world.

(11:50):
But now the follow up is the really important thing.
This is what turns you from a one hit wonder
into a big star. The next album, and the next
one and the next one. Bett Middler once said you
were only as popular as your last record. So Bet
has sold well fifty sixty million albums. But Beck does
not have a record deal at the moment because her

(12:10):
last album flopped. It didn't sell very well. So it's
not about the history. It's about what you're doing now,
and so Benson boon oh. I try to listen to it.
I think the problem is is he's trying to transition
into a different type of artist. No, we want the
pop music. We want to dance to your songs. That's
who you are. It's like when Jaylo got all deep
and heavy in that love album with Ben and it

(12:32):
wasn't what we go to Jayler for. We go to
Jennifer to shake our booties. And I think Benson maybe
the same. I'm wishing you well, my friend. Maybe you'll
get a third album, maybe sales will pick up, but
I'm not one hundred present, one hundred percent convinced. Okay, quickly,
before we go to break, A very controversial subject is

(12:54):
bubbling up. Billy Porter is going into Cabaret on Broadway.
You know, Cabaret the most amazing musical said in Nazi Germany.
It is very deep, very serious, but also to some
really beautiful tender moments. Well, he's going into Cabaret as
the MC Joel Gray wouldn't Oscar for that role. And

(13:15):
he's doing interviews and he said something very controversial that
he's not sitting well with. I think pretty much anybody.
He said, quote blacks have replaced the Jews. Let me explain.
So he has ignited outrage with a tone deaf comment
that insiders say could tank the cabaret revival once again.

(13:37):
He said, quote blacks have replaced Jews during an interview,
in tempting to compare historical oppression. So his people are
saying this comes from a good place. He's saying that
historically blacks have been oppressed, Jews have been oppressed, and
so we're in this together. But he didn't say together.
He said blacks have replaced Jews. Now, this is the

(13:59):
wrong show and the wrong message and very much the
wrong time. Porter, who is currently headlining in Cabaret, And
let me remind everybody, it's a musical on the persecution.
It is centered on the persecution of choos in Nazi Germany.
If you don't want to tell that story, Billy Porter,
if you want to tell a different story, then do

(14:21):
a different show. I hate it, don't you When people
come in and what we call in show business is
they have to pee on it. What that means is
they have to make it about themselves, no play the character.
It is one of the most beautifully written musicals of
all time. It is a heartbreaking show, and with what's
going on in the world today, it's a really, really

(14:42):
important show. Producers are really worried that this is not
only distorting history, but also too it is going to
stop people from wanting to go to see Cabaret. I'm
one of those people. I've seen it twice already. I
saw it with Eddie rick Naine. He was brilliant. I
have seen it too with Adam Lambert who took over,

(15:02):
and I was hoping to go and see Billy Porter.
He's a brilliant singer, actor, a Tony Award winner. Now
I'm not so sure. Let me remind you one more
time what he said. He said quote blacks replaced the Jews. Ouch. Okay,
We're gonna take a quick break here and we'll be
right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Night Show.

(15:26):
Your Hostomp Shooter. Hey you, let's get to the polls
that they duh lash shall We talked about Brea Blake
Lively banning Selena Gomez from her birthday bash? Was it
because Taylor Swift was there? So Taylor Swift was at
the party. We know Blake Lively and Taylor have had
a falling out over this lawsuit. They have not spoken
or seen each other since Blake filed this multimillion dollar

(15:46):
LUW suit. So Selena and Taylor are really really close.
Selena and Blake not so much. They know each other obviously,
they've hung out a few times, but they're not close friends.
It's Taylor that's the glue. She's the one that holds
all these three together. And if Taylor's not close with Blake,
Selena's not close with Blake. And so what do you
think here? Was she not invited because Taylor was there? Oh? Gosh,

(16:08):
ninety percent, yes, I think I agree absolutely, Although some
friends say even if Taylor and Blake had not fell out,
Blake probably wouldn't have been invited because this was a
very small, intimate birthday party of just Selena's really close friends.
Blake is not one of those. She's not a really
close friend. She's someone she knows. I think they like

(16:29):
each other sort of, but they're not close friends. They
don't text, they don't speak. So I think you're right, naughties.
But maybe maybe even if Taylor wasn't there, I'm not
absolutely convinced that Blake would be there. Either. Okay, don't
forget to vote on today's Paul. Go to our Twitter
page and Norty nys rub Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip,

(16:49):
and be sure to take back tomorrow to hear your
results are. Now it's time for and nicest of the Day. Oh,
and nicest of the day is Christina Hack. You know
her from Christina on the Coast. Her show just got canceled.
Her HGTV show just got pulled after six seasons. HGTV
going through turmoil. They're canceling all their big, big shows

(17:13):
and so her show was pulled. She was devastated. They
asked her to take a pay court, and she reminded them,
you make millions off of this show, and so why
should I earn less. She earns about fifty thousand dollars
an episode, which is a lot of money, but nowhere
near the one million dollars everyone in the cast of
Friends made for their show. Now, obviously Friends is a
much bigger show, but Christina on the Coast I thought

(17:35):
she could make more than that. I think the Real
Housewives some of them made more than that. And Christina
show was just as popular as though, so the network
was being cheap she would not back down. And now
the show is gone. Don't worry though, I'm told she's
already in talks with other networks about doing a new show.
No You're worth, No You're worth and nicest of the day.

(17:58):
And now I noticed the day. Naughty, naughty. Oh. Denise
Richard's divorce is turning so so nasty, so so quickly.
And now Charlie Sheen has been dragged into the mess.
So her estranged husband Aaron has gone full scorched earth.
He's filed a police report after a blowout July fourth fight.

(18:19):
They had a fight on July fourth. He claims that
Denise smacked his phone, very phone he says has proof
of an affair. Denise was having explicit messages he had
got from her laptop. Denise said he is lying, She's
not having an affair. He also implied that she's a
drug abbict. She's taking Vicardain. She has denied that. Now

(18:41):
I'm told Charlie's name has been brought up and he's
going to get dragged into this too. They are going
at it. This is not going to get nasty, my friends,
It is nasty, insiders. Once one source told me Aaron
wants to win in court and also in the court
of public opinion. Ooh, you know these reality stars. If

(19:02):
this is your life, though, if these are the rules
you live by, we shouldn't be too surprised when it
really becomes your real life as well as your life
on TV. And what is the day? Let's end with
a moment of Rob. You're gonna rub, rub, You got
a rub? Be the reason somebody believes in good people
in a world that can feel heavy and cold and unkind.

(19:24):
Be the light, Be the kindness that catches somebody off. God,
be the grace that reminds them. Not everyone gives up
or walks away. You never know who's barely holding on.
You never ever know. One act of compassion, one moment
of patience, one genuine smile that can restore someone's faith

(19:48):
in humanity. Be the reason somebody believes that good people
still exist. Because they do. And it starts with you. Hey,
that is it for today, noughties. Thank you so much
for listening to the Notught even Nice with Rob and
the Naughty Show. You're the co host today at one
