Speaker 1 (00:09):
Advice, sugar spice. It's time nice Rove Levelo. Welcome to
the Naughty Naisham your house rom Shooters Wednesday, which means
one of our favorite people is back after a few
weeks away, very sloppy work behavior. I'm gonna be calling Hr,
(00:29):
Donny Meacham, Are you the.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Well level level level?
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I think?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
To be honest, I mean I've been here since the
fun the beginning. I might be hr. I think I'm
the one that created this thing. I might be Hr.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
You are who are you gonna get all that sad
head of creative content? You are editor in chief, You
are security, and you also are the stylist for the
Naughty Lovely Lovely Lovely. Okay, let's jump in the show.
What time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
So the Today Show are begging Hoder to come back.
(01:06):
If you remember yesterday, Hoder appeared on The Today Show
to plug her new book and this retreat that she's
doing that actually isn't selling that well, that's why she's
out there plugging the retreat. But she has her book
out and at first the Today Show were unsure whether
or not they wanted her because they didn't want the
audience to actually realize what they have been missing. Well,
(01:27):
they did. Holder was on. I watched it. It was
pure pleasure, Donnie. They're just she's just so good at this.
She is just meant to do this. She's funny, she's willy,
she's charming, she is morning TV. Well. Now, behind the scenes,
executives are asking the beloved anchor sixty one years old,
who walked away in January after twenty six years, twenty
(01:49):
six years at NBC, if she would consider, maybe, sort of,
maybe possibly coming back to the show. I don't think
she'll be back full time, Donnie, but having her on
every so often, maybe once a month, maybe once a week,
if she will do it will help. Ratings have softened.
But worse than that, Donnie, there's no buzz. Nobody is
(02:10):
talking about the Today Show. I don't know if anybody
is talking about morning TV generally. Let's be honest here.
It's not like the Today Show fell off the grid.
Nobody cares that much about these network shows. And so,
looking back to the Holder and Kaffee lead Day So Delicious,
I understand why executives are doing it, but let's be honest.
If they hired Hoder and Kathie lead back. It wouldn't
(02:33):
be the same. We've moved on, times have changed. So
I do get the nostalgia. I do get wanting to
make Dare I say that today's show great again? It's
just not possible. It has changed. Hold her back for
a couple of hours, for ritually twenty minutes, delicious, thoroughly
enjoyed it. But I don't think she's coming back. And
even if she did, donnay, you can't capture magic in
(02:57):
a bottle twice. What do you thinks?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
See, that's the thing that it would look like they
you know, we're trying to get it back. It would
look very forced. Because Hoda made it very clear when
she left she was ready to go. I'dan been there
for a really long time, but she was just like, y'all.
I mean, this is Layman's terms. I'm really narrowing it down,
(03:21):
paraphrasing y'all. I'm getting old and I want to spend
time with my kids and I don't want to wake
up at three am. That's basically what Hoda was saying.
And so I think to try and get her to
come back. Unless this is the thing Morning TV has
changed people, I think this is what has changed. When
you know COVID hit two is our viewpoint of you know,
(03:44):
meeting people in studio all the time has changed. People
are okay with seeing people from home in a studio
in front of a thing, and so I think if
they were like, we'll come to your house, we'll build
a studio and if you'll want to make just move
to the room, make it really easy for her.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
I do a ton of interviews ever zoom and occasionally.
Last night they wanted me to go into the studio
and I was like, can I it from a room?
And I did do it. I sucked it up. I
did the TV hit. But I do get what you're
saying here. To bring Hoder back, I think they've got
to make it as appealing as possible. She did say
she was leaving because of the kids too, and the
kids are still there. They're still young girls, eight and six.
(04:27):
Hope is six now Haley is eight. So these are
still very very young young ladies. And so ho that
doesn't really want to come back. But what a lovely
position to be. And because often when you leave a jarm,
they forget you. I've left, Donny, I've spent decades and jobs,
and I thought that was part of the fabric, the fiber,
(04:48):
that internal heartbeat of the institution. No, when Syre left,
they didn't really remember me. So it must be lovely, lovely,
lovely having somebody to want you to come back. But
it is something I think we do this with relationships,
to Donnie, when we break up with somebody, when it's over,
we sometimes look at the pass through rose colored glasses.
(05:10):
And it was a tough job getting up that early
at three o'clock every morning. Hold, I had no social life.
When I'd see hod around, she'd always have to leave early.
I was had a wedding and Hoder turned up and
she left like ten minutes after they said I do,
because she had to get to bed. And so I
get why she doesn't want this life anymore. I get
why they want her. She truly is very very special
(05:32):
at this but I don't think it's gonna happen, Which
brings us to our pale question of the day, a
poll question of the day holder. They are begging Coder
to come back. They are begging Coder to come back
to the show, to the Today Show. Will she do it?
Yes or no? What do you think will hold a
return to the Today's Show. Yes or no go? Vote
(05:54):
on our Twitter page add Naughty nine rob Our facebook
page is Naughty Gossip and sure to tune in. Come
back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, Donny Love, what
are you working on? Oh?
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Let's get messy. Just want to be thought the Blake
Justin's stuff was winded down its back And this is
a little shooter scoop. Taylor Swift. Obviously whatever Taylor. Whenever
you say Taylor, we all know is Taylor Swift. Now,
Taylor Swift wants out of the Blake Lively lawsuit drama.
(06:29):
A source tells a shooter scoop she's.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Done with it.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Taylor never wanted to be part of this fight, and
now she's just hoping it's over soon. Because here's the problem.
Justin's people keep bringing her in because Justin's people swear
there's these texts between Taylor and Blake in that Blake
wanted to use Taylor's fandom as a way to kind of,
(06:58):
you know, squelch it and kind of make Justin look bad.
And it's like, I just here's the thing about all that.
I just don't think Calor has time you know, I'm saying, like,
I just don't think she has time to sit there
and worry about that. She was on tour for She
don't have time for this.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
I agree with you, but I do think Blake still
sort of threatened it. All of course I do that
all the time. I pretend my famous friends will be
very disappointed with you, Donnie if you miss another Naughty
but nine show, But in reality, they don't care. They
only care about themselves. And so I do think Blake
probably oversold her friendship with Taylor. They were very close friends,
(07:36):
but they weren't sisters. There was a point where Taylor
was going to walk away from this, which she already has,
and so I think sometimes be careful when you use
your friend's power, because often they're not gonna use it
for you. And so threatening that Taylor Swift is her
dragon and that's a reference to Game of Thrones was
(07:57):
sort of a silly thing to do. Blake's for this
justin did not bring Taylor Swift into this battle. He
did not. It is Blake that dragged her into this battle.
I think after we were talking about this on yesterday's podcast,
somebody got arrested at her house trying to subpoena her.
(08:17):
They were there with paperwork to serve her documents, and
they jumped a fence. And it's just also messy, messy, messy.
Anybody that knows Taylor Swift, that has worked with her,
that knows her personally, she's not messy. She is the
opposite of messy. She's really buttoned up, she's really really disciplined.
She does not like this messiness. And now she has
(08:38):
people crawling around Travis Kelsey's backyard trying to subpoena her
or give her documents. No, no, no, she wants this over.
The problem is she doesn't get to decide when it
is over. A judge gets to decide that Blake's not
dropping this just in his fighting back, this is gonna
keep going on, Okay, talking, you mut fight him back?
(09:01):
Did He is begging for a judge to give him
early release before his sentencing. So did. He is making
a desperate bid to walk free ahead of his looming sentencing,
pleading with the court for what his lawyers call a
quote near immediate release. They want him out right now. So.
In new documents new memos that were filed yesterday, Sean's
(09:24):
legal team argued that the disgraced rapper has already suffered
enough by spending more than a year in a Brooklyn
really bad detention center, a notorious Manhattan detention center. They
has been now we have to remember this. Then he
has been found guilty of two counts of prostitution, each
of which carry up to ten years. I thought it
was two years, it is not. It is ten years.
(09:46):
So now they are pushing for no more than fourteen months.
So if he gets fourteen months, he's already served thirteen months,
So he will be out in a month. His legal
teams say the past two years have been awful, his
reputation has his career has been destroy it. They said
that he has had a clean record in jail, nothing
bad has happened, seventy five letters of supports from family
(10:09):
and friends, and so they want him out. Now. The
judge's going to decide on October third. So this is
really really really close, just days away. Did his get
to find out, does he get to walk he has
been in for thirteen months, or does he get to
stay a little longer or a lot longer. I know, Donnie,
(10:30):
that you have a very sharp legal mind. I know
when I think of Donnie Meacham, I think of legally
is and a go go poll and a dancer, But
I also do think of legally ears. What do you
think Donny puts your legal hat on? How long will
did he be going to jail? Okay?
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Now, look, I want to preface this. What did he
did was horrifying and awful, but he was only found
guilty of two counts of prostitution. Now I do I
just don't think we you know, we we don't look
down on prostitution as bad anymore. And I think that,
(11:08):
you know, legal wise, and I think he will get
fourteen months. I think he will get out. I think
that he will get this early release. But I also
I agree with his lawyers. But I think it's a
good thing is that his career is over.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Did he is done?
Speaker 2 (11:27):
He might work behind the scenes on some things. He might,
but also did he have his money is dried up?
Is drying up because he's spent a lot, a lot
on these lawyers on trying to get everything done. He
will have to pay. He's had to pay his lifestyle
while he's still in prison.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Is not cheap ye career. He supports that whole family,
his mom, his family, He's paying for all those tricks there.
I do think I disagree there. I think in this
world that we living today do me a world of
I say, no shame, he could have a comeback. There
is an element, there is a pro portion of peoples
out there, people out there who might support him. We
saw this after other controversial cases OJ and Michael Jackson.
(12:11):
They might not have the massive fan base that they
once did, but we know, Donnie from this podcast, a
small number of very dedicated listeners, Hello love, I thank
you for it can be enough. Now? Did he does
have that base? I went down to the courthouse, Donnie.
Outside that court has there were fans, and I have
not seen his fan base this excited. In maybe twenty
(12:32):
or thirty years, who cared about Diddy anymore? Now suddenly
he's the hottest rapper in the world, all for the
wrong reasons. I also think too, he's going to get
out quick views about prostitution we call it sex work.
Now views about that industry have certainly changed, and you
don't need to look any further than only fans. This
(12:53):
Really I was kind of apprude about it. I look
down my nose at it. Donnie and you who taught
me not to do that. You've really opened my mind
to this industry and a lot of people working very,
very hard, and so our views have changed. I think
he might be out sooner than we think. Okay, moving along.
Steve Harvey's daughter Laurie, she loves to post a riscue
(13:14):
picture or two. Her daddy is horrified. But what's he
gonna do? She's twenty eight? Tell us what a gay
is going on?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
She posts, you know, a little low over. She's like,
let me just post a picture on my Instagram. I'm
just gonna be topless in an a vented.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Gucci g stream. That's important, Vintie.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
And then you got all Steve sitting at home after
them feud, he records, He's like flipping through instance what
he's like that girl who's that's his horrified? They tell
Shooter Scoop this Steve is protective of his girls, which
I can understand. You know, he supports her career, her
(13:59):
end pendant. But this is a little far. And I
have to say this too. If I was on an
invented Gucci Vintage, my mom scrolled through it shocked. She
would be shocked.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
My mother would be shocked if she be wearing a
vintage Gucci's thong or any thong is I think people
when they post on social media, they forget that anybody
can look at it, including your mom and dad. Like
it's not a private members club. It's open to the world.
I'm always shocked that when we post that podcast, who
(14:37):
listens to it? So I'm always thrilled. It's lovely, but
it's out there for anybody, for everybody to enjoy. Some
maybe not, but I'll take it. So would you press
wouldn't you press it out? Wouldn't you press that button
and you send it out to the world. Donnie on
Instagram on everything I think about that, sometimes I don't
(14:59):
post pictures of myself in a thong. You'll be glad
to do to hear that. But Donnie, you've posted some
quite risque pictures yourself.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
If I had a vintage Gucci cheesety honey, tap tap
tap tap, press away, you better heart it.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Hey, We're gonna keep that vision in our mind and
take a quick and I mean quick break. You'll be
right back. Welcome back to the naught even nice on
your hands from shooting with any your friend, Donnie, meet
them Hey, let's get to the polls las shall we
talked about it will be gold book insisting that ABC
did not silence. So it's very very odd here that
(15:41):
the View decided that, you know what, rather than jump
into a debate about Jimmy Kimmel, No, they'll give it
a few days, let it simmer, because that's the type
of show they are not. When is the View ever
showed Eddy restrict? My insiders are telling me they were
told not to talk about it, and they were not
to mention it or say a word until what they
(16:03):
were going to say was passed through lawyers, and so
do you believe whoopee? They're talking about it now, but
it did take them almost three or four days to
say something here, what do you think was whoopy? Was
whatpy telling the truth? Do you believe her that they
were not silenced? They decided that of all the topics
going on today, Donnie, we're not going to mention Jimmy
(16:24):
not important enough. No, no, not going to mention him.
Let's have look. Do you believe her? Eighty seven percent
said no, you don't neither do I A whoopy woopy
will be I do love you, but it's unblievable. Hey,
don't forget to vote on today's pole. Go to a
Twitter page. I'm not a nice rob our facebook pages,
nor he calls him. And be sure to check bet
(16:45):
tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's time for
a nicest after the day.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
But can you blame she was to keep her job?
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Do you believe her job up?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
The nicest of the day. Katy Holmes and Michelle Williams,
they have Remember there was the Dawson's Creek reunion and
then it was actually quite sad because Dawson himself had
to drop out because of he's been really sick. But
then he ended up showing up.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Anyways, they got.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Him to be a zoom. It's very scary. I will
say this not scary here, it's not the right word,
but sad is. And if you saw pictures James van
der Veek, you know, the cancer has really gotten hold
of his life and he looked at a very different person.
But this is where it's the nicest of the day.
Katy Holmes, Michelle Williams.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
They kind of.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Did tricky relationship with Creek, the old Creek. They left
the Creek and you know, didn't really remain the creek.
Noelle Shooter Scoop says that they hugged it out. They
the reunion, and I think it it's in a very
this is where it actually a sad way. I think,
you know, seeing James and seeing what's happening, can you
(18:04):
notice what life is?
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I think, yeah. I think it's it's good that we
see stuff like this because it reminds us life's really
really short. These silly fallings out. We were both in
a stupid show. We all made all this money, we
became famous. Where's the problem? Still making money? Problem? Hugged eyes.
I'm glad these to have ended that long feud. And
now I noticed that naughty, naughty, naughty John bon Jovi
(18:27):
is saying how much it really still upsets him that
Richie Sambora left the group in twenty thirteen. Well, now
richest friends are pushing back, saying he left because of you, John,
and you missed that part out and so he left
because John was quiet to bully and it was always
about John. It is called bon Jovi, it is John's name.
It is not called bon Jovi sam Bora. No, the
group is named after John. That I was the publicist
(18:50):
for bon Jovi got to admit I was I worked.
I was a more private plane flying all over the place.
Richie was my favorite. John was the boss. I used
to I love hanging out with Richie. He was naughty
and funny and cheeky. John was the boss. So when
John got on the plane, I jumped. When John got
off the plane, I jumped. It was John's grip. Now
I didn't ever see John b outright rude to Richie,
(19:13):
but I do know that John was the star, and
John approved the press schedule. John approved everything. It was
John's show. So if you miss Richie, maybe you should
have treated him a little bit more like an equal
and less like the stuff I witnessed it first hand. Okay,
let's end with a moment of rob. You gonna rob,
You Rob, you gotta rob. Life is about choices, So
(19:36):
choose happiness. Life gives you options every single day. You
can choose. You can't choose to dwell on what's wrong,
or you can choose to see what's right. You can
choose to stress, or you can choose peace. You can
choose resentment Johnnie, or you can choose love. Happiness. It's
not an accident. Happiness is a decision, make that choice,
(20:01):
make it today to be happy. Hey, that is it
for today. Thank you so much for listening to The
Naughty but Nice with Rob and the head of h R,
Donnie Meacham. We are a production of iHeart Radio and
Elvis Durand if you get to subscribe on the iHeartRadio
app Apple podcast whereverye listen, leave us a review if
you can there, really do help and remember all together
(20:23):
now let me hear you singing along. If you're going
to main naughty, you got
Speaker 2 (20:28):
To be nice to get ah, it's not even nice
with Rob
