Speaker 1 (00:09):
VI for sure, it's time. Hell, lo welcome to the
not even nice. I'm your host, Ram Shooter, and it
is Thursday, which means our dear friend Mark Luper joins us, Hey, Loopy,
are you there? Hey LUPI I like the change of
locations so while we record these shows, we can see
(00:31):
each other over zoom and normally I look out over
your beautiful beautiful. I think it's a park that you
look over. Market's so green. Today we're in the is
it a purple room? I like this room?
Speaker 2 (00:43):
But in the office today it's a dark blue background
with a nice gallery wall on the back.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yeah, it's nice. Mark, Honestly, If ever this podcasting business
does not work out for you, I think it will.
But if it doesn't go into interior design, you could
be one of the queer eyes. You really could be
one of those. It looks great, Thank you, Thank you,
looks great. Okay, let's jump into the show My Dame
is it? My Friends and tea time. Big story at
(01:08):
the top of the show. So Netflix is basically telling
Jillian Michaels a bring it. Let me explain. Jillian Michaels
is very angry with Netflix because they have a new
documentary act. It's a great documentary. It's called Fit for TV.
The Reality of the Biggest Loser. Well, if you remember,
The Biggest Loser was a massive show, very very popular.
(01:31):
However it has not aged well if you look at
a few clips, the episodes have sort of disappeared, but
there are some clips. They really bullied people who are overweight.
They fat shamed people. It's just the opposite of how
you deal with any any conversation about size, about way
we've changed, and I think as a society that's a
(01:52):
good thing. I remember twenty years ago laughing at American
Idol making fun of clearly mentally a person when they
went to audition member William Holme. She bangs, she bangs.
It was really funny. The whole nation left him. Remember
Susan Boyle, Oh my goodness. We were so cruel to her.
We were like gladiators, like killer killer, and then suddenly
(02:15):
she sang, and we're like, oh, it's okay now because
she's got a pretty voice. We like you now, Susan
because you can sing. But before she sang, we were like, boo,
she's disgusting, she's all I mean, we went crazy. Well,
the Biggest Loser has this legacy. I would argue housewives
are not going to stand up either. But in a
few years wait and see. So The Biggest Loser not
(02:37):
a great show. Now we all watched it, we all
enjoyed it back then, a terrible show. Let's be honest. Well,
they've done a documentary about it, and it's a really
telling documentary. It really really digs into those those fears
that we now know are true about that the show.
Gillian was offered a place on the documentary. Do you
want to be interviewed? She passed, She wanted no part
(03:00):
of it. Well, now it's ed. She doesn't like what
they said, so she's threatening a lawsuit. Let me explain everybody,
TV does not just happen. You don't just throw something
upon TV. It takes months and months, maybe years, of production,
of pre production, of editing, and then before anything goes
on the air. There's lawyers there. The only shows that
(03:21):
are put on without a lawyer a live shows, but
they have a lawyer in the control rooms, and lawyers
are a massive part of TV. Netflix has a ton
of money. Let's be honest. They've done much more controversial
documentaries than this, they've done murder documentaries. I mean, I've
watched them. It's a great, great place, smart, smart lawyers.
(03:42):
They said, Julian, bring it. She's threatening a lawsuit. She
hasn't done it yet, Mark. I think if she does,
it would be a terrible mistake.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
What do you think, Well, you're totally right about lawyers
being involved in any production. And I've worked on a
bunch of different shows, and I will say when I
started my career, I was a production assistant on The
Apprentice and many other Bravo reality shows. And that's what
termed me off from it because I saw how they
treated people. I saw what went behind the scenes and
people crying and being you know, things used against them.
(04:14):
And that's why I ended up working in daytime talk
because it's a bit more friendly with this story. You know,
I watched this documentary over the weekend, or parts of it,
and I was shocked at some of the things that
they were showing. One contestant literally passed out on the beach,
couldn't move about to die. It felt like, you know.
The thing is Jillian has posted receipts on her Instagram.
She has some suggestive texts and emails that might show
(04:39):
that there are other people involved in this that are
have you know, a stain on them too, So I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
I'm kind of.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Curious to see how this will play out, because she's
not coming at this with just words she has received.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
She's she's got emails, she's got texts. And I'm not
blaming Jillian for this show. She was part of the show.
She didn't create it. She was not the executive producer.
This was not her show. She was a higher cast member. Basically,
she was a hired trainer on the show. However, Gillian,
that does not excuse your participation in it. And I
would argue instead of threatening a lawsuit, because we know
(05:13):
what you did, because you did it on Telly, we
saw you. Your reputation is your reputation. This lawsuit is
not harming you. It's just really reminding us of everything
we already knew. I would argue, instead of a Syrian,
why don't you sit down and write an op ed
about your regrets about you did this, about what really
(05:33):
went down and how that makes you feel now, about
if somebody treated a family member, your daughter, your son,
your sister, your brother liked this, how you would react,
Why don't you sit down and talk about weight loss.
This is your industry, this is where you were a professional.
Talk about how you went so wrong, and use your
energy on that. That's what I try to do, Mark.
(05:55):
I've done stories for a very very long time, and
the celebrity gossip business she's changed, thankfully. It's a much
more nicer place now. It's much more gentle. Remember that
we used to talk about Britney Spears like she was
a piece of eas and we were chasing her. And
I think it was just so wrong. And I can
admit that. Now I can be like, oh, I really
regret that, and I'm happy what I'm doing now. I
(06:18):
think Gillian would be actually smarter to do that. Now
we should point out we've met Jillian. She is not
the kindest person. I have been in many a green
room with her. I've been on many a TV show
with her. I have interviewed her, and she never really
was very nice. She's quite controversial. She has very very
strong views about the gay community, about freedom flags, about
(06:41):
the rainbow flag. Although she's gay herself, right, she doesn't
believe in the rainbow flag, so she has controversial views.
She's got a little touch of the Megan Kelly about her,
who's a very controversial person. So maybe this is exactly
what Gillian likes. She likes a fight, she likes a confrontation,
she likes having that real sort of mean girl image
(07:03):
around her. So maybe she's just leaning in to who
she is. Everything she's doing now is confirming all my
fears about her.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, I mean we've always known her to be that
kind of person. You know. I will say she's been
accused of giving contestants caffeine pills and other things. And
you know, as someone who does not drink coffee, that's me.
I do, from time to time take caffeine pills and
it's really nothing different than taking you know, drinking a
couple of coffee. And now there's some speculation that, you know,
caffeine was never banned on the show and it was
(07:29):
never an issue. I just think there's many people here
who have a piece of this, not just Jillian, but
the other the producers and the people that you know
pushed it for this, And I remember, you know, working
at Wendy Williams, we would have the biggest loser winners
come on the show, yes, and they were treated like
Zoom animals. Everyone was looking at them and just oh,
look at you, look at you. But then they would
just disappear, you know.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
After that. It's so cruel. We've seen I've seen it
with American idols, I've seen it with Real Housewives, I've
seen these reality shows, these competition shows are so cruel.
Kelly Clarkson has talked about this, how after she and idol,
everybody looked at her like she was in a zoom right.
They were just poking and sing Kelly sing us something
on Red Carcass to her. There's a real underbelly of this.
I think, Gillian, though, what you have done, you should
(08:12):
have made yourself the face of the villains. Wasn't just you.
Don't deflect, blame own it, own what you did, and
then point out to that this wasn't just you, It
was the culture, and this was executive producers, this was
the network, It aired on a network, this was everything
put together. I think what you're doing is just not
helping yourself and it's certainly not helping the victims here,
(08:35):
which brings us to our pole question of the day.
Netflix is not losing any sleep over Jilly and Michael's
legal threats. Whose team are you on here? Are you
team Jillian? Are your team Netflix? I've given you a
little hit there. Who Mark, I've swayed the voted. This
(08:56):
was alection, This would be void, but we will continue
as if I didn't. Take a vote on our Twitter
page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is Naughty
gilsimb and be sure to check back Tamar Raba to
hear your results. Hey Loopy, what are you working on? Yes?
Speaker 2 (09:13):
So, I'm sorry to be the better of bad news.
But however, Glenn Palll has officially shut down the James
Bond rumors. Oh let me explain. So, the thirty six
year old actor addressed these swirling speculation that he's in
they're running to replace Staniel Craig as an ex James Bond,
but he's just not having it. He said, I'm a Texan,
and a Texan should not play James Bond. He said,
(09:36):
my family, I joked that I could play Jimmy Bond,
but not James Bond. Get an authentic bridge for that job.
That's who belongs in that tuxedo.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
I think it should be a bread I do, But
he is called acting like you can play different characters.
That's your job. He is adorable, isn't it. He's so cute.
I think here are hipopholks. If he was really up
for Bond, if he really was in that top five,
he would say nothing. All the people that are really
in the in the running are keeping their mouths shut.
(10:07):
They don't they don't want Glenn for James Bond. So
I think this is very clever here. He's taking the
high road without losing anything because it's not his to begin,
like he was never going to get it. But it
is interesting James Bond and now Jeff Bezos owns the franchise.
I had some reporting that Jeff's going to be really
(10:27):
hands on. I think he already tweeted asking people who
they think should be the Bond. He bought it. He
bought the James Bond franchise. Could Laurence Sanchez be a
Bond girl? I mean, stranger things have happened. Mark. If
I bought James Bond for eight billion dollars, you and
Doris your mum would be in the movie because it's
(10:47):
my it's my property, it's my franchise. In fact, I
would just stack it. You could be Bond. You could
be here with every one Mark, I would just stack
it with my friends, and so I don't think Glenn's
gonna do it. I like him. Have you ever met him, Mark,
I've met him a few times. I like him.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
I haven't met him, but he does seem like a
very nice Southern boy.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
So he's very puppy like you, like he wants to please.
He's like having a puppy in the room. A friend
of ours, a girlfriend of ours, bumped into him in
a coffee shop in la and she went over and
spoke to him, and he loved it and they changed
numbers and now the texting. She's very prudent. I'm I'm
not sure where he would give it me, but we
do like Powell, but we know what to rupt you.
(11:27):
You weren't going to get it, really were going to
get it, okay? Moving along. The Palace is furious with
Harry's tribute to Prince Philip. Oh, the Palace. They're always
furious with this, Harry Art that every day they're upset.
So Harry did a the j post where he praised
where he praised Prince Philip. That's his grandfather. Palas insiders
(11:48):
are saying, this is disgusting. Philip was furious with him.
He was Philip was no fan of Meghan, and so
now bringing up his grandfather's memory on a day that
was about remembering runs Maybe not it's the right thing
to do, But I think you can still honor your
grandfather's service. He was really instrumental in the war, in
(12:09):
the war efforts. I think you can remember someone's history
without it being about you. I don't think this was
about Harry here. You know what it is, Mark, Harry
can't win. This family just and the public are just
ready to pace and we're like, don't talk about your family.
You want privacy. But they are his family. He's gonna
mention them. They happen to be one of the most
(12:30):
famous families in the world. I think, poor Harry here
just cannot win. What do you think.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
I agree if he didn't do something, then he'd be
like insensitive and horrible, and so I think the family
needs to get over it. You know, he's honoring his grandfather.
There's nothing more here than just a sweet message and
that's it.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, just say that, thank you very much. Okay, quickly
before we get to break this lady fascinates me. I
couldn't say her name for the longest time. I think
I've got it right now. Kristin Calaveri, Calaveri, Calivari, Caliveri,
one or the other. She's always in the press, mark,
she gets covers of magazines. I don't really know who
she is. Help me understand.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
This, Okay, So Kristin Cavalari is how I say it,
a love right. So, insiders are saying that Kristin caval
Laurie is rattled after her ex husband Jay Cutler, publicly
fired back at her claim that she never got a
penny from their.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Divorce, or she did say that. She said that.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
So the former NFL player, who is now worth one
hundred and twenty eight million dollars dollar definitely got a
dollar when on this podcast to slam the remarks as
completely false and warned that they ordered slander.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
I mean he paid her money. He's got the receipt.
I think we've got to this point in reality culture
where you can just say anything, just just say anything,
maybe even in politics, like you just say stuff. It's
not true. He is on a podcast. I watched it. Oh,
he's quite forceful. He said it's ludicrous. He said there
is no judge in Tennessee that's where they lived. Who
(14:00):
would ever sign off on a divorce where she got nothing.
They did have a prenup, but even prenups mean that
you have an arrangement when they went into that prenup.
He's worth over one hundred million dollars. Now. Kristen likes
to paint herself as a self made person. I think
she's made money on reality shows, but she lives a very,
very big life. She lives a life that is way
(14:22):
beyond what MTV was paying when she I think she
was on the Hills, is that right, Mark? Which she
was on the Hills? Which on the bat one of
those shows. And so she lives a big life like that.
So to say your husband didn't give you a penny
where he's like, oh honey, I got the receipts, be careful,
Kristin back off. I just don't. You don't have to apologize.
Just stop talking about your rexs and stop talking about
(14:44):
money and hiding the dishwasher for a couple of days. Ok,
We're gonna take a quick break and we will be
right back. Welcome back to the naughtyver and Heads shoot
to be mydear friend, Mark Lupo Helupe let's get to
the polls. The bars about Katie Perry and just In
(15:04):
Tradeaux another lame I'm learning to say. He was the
former Prime Minister of Canada. They're so called romance coming
to an end, all nonsense because they were never together
in the first place. I told you first. She was
playing Canada. His daughter is a huge fan. His office
called her office to get tickets, VIP tickets, great seats
(15:26):
at the front. You can't go on ticket Master and
buy the seats that he was sitting in, so he
got great seats. Then her people got back to him
and say, would you like to have dinner with Katie?
Why not? Sounds great, So they went for dinner together.
There's some rooms that maybe Katie tipped off the press,
maybe to get back at Orlando, or had just been
scotted at the Jeff Bezos wehending looking very friendly with
(15:48):
some ladies on a boat. Suddenly kat is with the
former prime minister, who is a cutie. I mean, he's
a good look. So they were never dating. It was
dinner and then a concert, and not a concert together,
a concert where he brought his daughter. So any sexual
feelings are at the window because he's sitting there with
his teenage daughter. So don't believe it. Don't believe it.
(16:11):
They were never together. But my question was, would you
like to see these two us as a couple? Of
seventy percent said yes. That's based on looks, isn't it
a little personality too? He's so adorable, she's so delicious.
I sort of get it, but don't get your hopes
of naughties not gonna happen. Hey, don't forget to vote
on today's pole. Go to our Twitter page had no
any nice room. Her Facebook page is not a gossip.
(16:34):
I'm sure to check back tomorrow hour to hear your results.
And now it's time for a nicest of the day.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
The nicest of the day. It's Courtney Cargs.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Oh, I love me too.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
She's approving of Jennifer Anderson's new man.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Oh, we love it, we love it.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
So the friends due double dated at Noboo malbou Cox's
longtime partner Johnny mcdeed, and Jen's guy had hypnotist author
Jim Curtis, and Courtney apparently really likes him. She's seeing
Jen lab and she's calm, she's happy, and that's a
rare thing for her in these days and Courtney's blessing
(17:16):
means everything to jennifers are saying, and she's watched Jen
get her heartbroken, but this time she can tell it's different.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Oh, Oh, it's lovely. Friends are really important and intended.
Their friends are important. When when I first started to
date Bruce and he met my friends, I wanted my friends.
I needed my friends to like him because I liked him,
And so I dated guys that I didn't really like.
And I didn't care if my friends didn't really like
him because I didn't really like these other boyfriends. But
Bruce I really liked and I would have been really
(17:44):
upset if my friends hadn't liked him. They loved him.
He passed with flying colors when I met Bruce's family.
When I first came to America and I met his family,
I was really nervous in the car going out to
Long Island to meet his relatives. I wanted them to
like me. Well, it's not like but I pulled it off,
but I was nervous. What about you, Mark, Is it
(18:05):
important for your friends to like Kevin to like your boyfriends?
Is it important for his friends to like you? What
do you think?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Oh, yeah, of course. You know, Kevin is loved by
you know, anyone he needs. He's very nice. I'm not nice.
My friends do like him a lot, and it's always
easy to bring around to an event as you met
him out before.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
It's great.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah, it's it's fine. It's easy.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
That's the thing. It's not that I wanted to like them.
I want it to be easy. Yeah, that's more important
to me. I just like easy. I'm at that point now.
Oh there's so much drama in my business life because
of what I do for a living. You two, Mark,
it's a big, big, big job. And in my personal life,
I just want easy. Oh, Courtney, this makes me happy.
(18:50):
And now I noticed the day naughty, naughty, naughty people
are concerned about Britney spears again. She's fired her maid.
Her house is in chaos. Britney put up a video
and even though she's acting really paranoid and strange in
the video, that the takeaway that people are talking about
it's just how dirty the houses he's in chaos. There
are piles and piles of clothes and clutter everywhere. I'm
(19:12):
told that she doesn't really have a staff anymore, that
she didn't manage to pay them or keep them on
the schedule. To run a house, even if you don't
have a team, it's a lot to pay the bills,
to make the beds, to clean the toilet, to make
sure the dishwasher work nies a lot. And so Brittany
just doesn't have the skills, and unfortunately she doesn't have
(19:32):
anybody around her helping. Now, so my heartbreaks for Brittany.
Oh so sad. Okay, let's end with a moment of rob.
You get a rub, You're gonna rub, You get rub,
you gotta rob. Stay away from people who dismiss your effort,
but they magnify your mistakes. Has that ever happened?
Speaker 2 (19:47):
You know?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
The ones They're silent when you're pushing yourself forward, pushing
yourself towards something new and bright and good. But the
second you stumble, they're on the very front row with
their popcorn. That's not friendship, my friends, that's poison. If
they can't cheer for you in your progress, they don't
deserve a seat at your table. Surround yourself with people
(20:09):
who clap when you win, not the ones who thrive
when you fall. I've noticed this mark when I've had
some very very successful moments, big moments in my life.
The podcast became top ten, I had a book published.
It became an Amazon bestseller. All these things in my
life that I'm really proud of. I noticed the friends
(20:31):
that clap, I notice the friends that really want me
to succeed. But I also notice the ones that are silent.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
You know, I think having a friend who secretly wants
you to fail as the most dangerous type of person
in your life.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Yes, yeah, yes, I've had a watch out. We want
you all to succeed. Naughties. Hey, that is it for today.
