Selena Gomez said “I do” to music producer Benny Blanco in a glamorous Santa Barbara ceremony packed with Hollywood A-listers. But the celebration wasn’t without drama: her ex, Justin Bieber, raised eyebrows with a cryptic Instagram post that had fans trolling him with brutal comments like “you lost her.” And across the pond, royal fireworks erupted as Prince Harry issued a blistering statement slamming reports about his meeting with King Charles, blasting talk of “sabotage” and vowing not to let palace whispers derail their fragile reconciliation.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Ye Shooter, it's time, no, no, and no.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Well, welcome to the Nordy venicam your hostrum Shooter. And
it's Monday, which means our dear friend Garrett Joint say, Garrett,
are you there, babe?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Happy National Coffee Day?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I think we all need a little bit of that
in our lives right now?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Right is it National Coffee Day? I didn't, I didn't
even know. I love you.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
You know you could.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
You could pretty much go to your local local coffee
coffee Rea where may be in the world, and you
probably can get a free cup of coffee somewhere.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Oh, I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna try it all
day long. I'm gonna go from Starbucks, the Starbucks to Starbucks.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I do not need that much caffeine, my.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Friend, although I do need a little Today I went
out for Misty's birthday party and I'm still recovering a
little bit some Happy birthday, Misty. Let's jump into my show,
Garrett A the time is it? My friends? It is
tea time. Big story. At the top of the show,
Selena Gomes has married Any Blanco in a star studied
Santa Barbara wedding. Santa Barbara it's really nice there, so

(01:06):
she's officially off the market. The star tied the nut
to a music producer, Benny Blanco, in a glamorous ceremony
that drew some of Hollywood's biggest stars. You want to
know who was there, We have some big names, Taylor Swift,
Martin Shaw, Steve Martin, Paul Rudd, Ed Sheering, Paris Hilton.
They were all there for the sea side. It was

(01:28):
right on the coast. I do's. It was at a lush,
lush garden center, like not that we think of a
garden center, like not where you're going buy a cheap
julip or two. It was like a nursery. So it
was at the lush Seacrest Nursery, which is really really beautiful.
I know in your mind what you're thinking. It's not

(01:49):
a cheap garden center. She did not get married, That's right.
It's not home depot. It was about one hundred and
seventy people, so that's pretty big. Family and friends. We
know the dress. It was Ralph Lauren, very very classic,
and both both Selina and Bennett have posted pictures so
you actually can get a really good look today. If

(02:10):
you want to go online, go to their Instagram pages
and you can see the dress. It's gorgeous. Lots of
celebrities there. I didn't see any pictures of Taylor. I've
seen some Papa Ranci picture of Martin shun to arrive in,
but I didn't see any tailors of pictures. It looks
just beautiful. Congratulations. What do you think? Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Well, first congratulations to them. The Taylor not being pictured.
They have a picture of her walking out of the
jet with with umbrellas covering. And you know what, I've
been thinking about it because you didn't see Taylor a lot.
She flew off to the football game yesterday time to
make it for Travis's game on Sunday, So she left

(02:47):
the wedding on Saturday to get to the game on Sunday.
He didn't see her It's album a week. So she
does not want to give anybody or any else or
take away from a friend the attention by just being pictured.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
So I get that.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I hear that Taylor and Ed Sheeran both spoke at
the wedding as well. And I saw this and it's
kind of kind of true. Selena Gomez pretty much the
first Disney princess, you know, to get married.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, she's literally a Disney princess.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Wow, And people are gonna argue and I know this
is gonna happen. Demi Levado's yes, Demi Lovado has been married.
But we know Demi's past. She it was kind of
littered with, you know, some drama and some bad things.
Selena Gomez, there has not really been any any you know,
hiccups in her career.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
It's the Disney ending. This is the Disney ending we
want for od Disney princess. I think it's just beautiful
that did you know about him before before they got together.
I did not know him until you know him from
the music Disney.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I know it from the music side because he pretty
much has written every big, big hit.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Of the last ten to fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
So and the weird part is he's worked with Justin
Bieber before, and we know, we know the stories between
Justin and Selena and their fans, but he's pretty much
written every single song, every popular song. You if you
have sang a song out loud, Benny Blanco has probably
touched it to something.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
So he's a very wealthy man. So a lot of
people at first, because they didn't know him, were like, oh,
he's a gold digger, he's from it. He's doing just fine.
He might even be doing even better than that.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Helicopters too, is another thing that kind of threw me.
I was like, really there, you could not get a
helicopter in Santa Barbara, you know, I could, you know,
not to say you and I are looking for helicopters,
but all the helicopters, including news choppers, were all rented
out over the weekend just to get a glimpse.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a it's amazing, we do. I
think they beat us here at our own game, and
our hats off to it. They released their own pictures.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
It's a beautiful how much how much do you think
those photos could have gone.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
For millions of dollars if there were no pictures out there.
I was in the celebrity photograph game for a long time,
doing covers of magazines, beiden on photographs. I once bid
twelve you heard me right, and Angelina Jolie's twins when
they were born. It was at the height of that
that market of buying celebrity pictures. We lost people bid fourteen.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Million between the phone and people.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Just you're on the phone with them and you run.
First of all, you go to the photo agency. They
don't email you a jpick because I would use it
to all my friends. So you have to go to
the photo agency where they show you the photographs on
a computer. And then you have to ride a big
down as if you're bidding on a house, and you
have to put it in an envelope. And it's a
really tricky game because you don't want a bid too
much because you don't want to overpay. But if you

(05:34):
don't bid enough, it's one bit and you will sit
in there.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Do you get to see like what the others are
bidding or no.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
No closed bids. So but you sit that. So your
opposite people magazine growling, and then your opposite the European
magazines who have all the money growling. You don't know
what to do, and we all know each other, and
outside it's just town car after turn tank car. I
went on the subway, thank you very much, which things
us back then to add pole question of the day
about Sala Gomez married Benny a balalanco at a star

(06:03):
study wedding. Taylor Swift was there? A question is quite simple.
Should Taylor have performed? Should she been the wedding singer.
If you've invite Taylor's lived to your wedding, do you
literally make her sing for her supper? What do you think?
Go bloats on aw the page I had naughty nice
rab Facebook page. It's naughty garsip. I'll be sure to
check back tomorrow to hear your results. You're talking about

(06:23):
Justin Bieber. What is going on? Of course there's a
Justin story today.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
So yeah, so of course Selena Gome is getting married
over the weekend. Justin Bieber the other day was playing
basketball and posted a carousel online, and you thought, what
could be so wrong about seeing some pictures of Justin.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Bieber playing some basketball.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Well, here's where the internet sleuths kind of dug a
little deeper to find out what caused all this drama.
So not only did he post the photos with the
music that you can post on Instagram, he did a
ballad from twenty twenty five called I Do, the song
about his marriage to Helly Bieber. You know when when

(07:01):
Selena Gomez got married. So of course fans already started
taking notice of this going Benny, I Do, Justin I Do.
One fan said you lost her and get over it.
I love that one on that that one's like straight
to the gut, you know.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Some even dropped some gifts of Selena in Bieber's comments.
You know, it's though Bieber was trying to be subtle
without being so subtle that I don't think he do.
I don't think fans expected. He didn't expect fans to
react that way.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
All the songs that he has he picked. I do
now if his greatest hit was I do correct, Oh,
that makes sense if that was his when you think
of just In Bieber, I don't think you think of
I do really.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Or if it was his wedding anniversary, that's.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Right, Oh, it was his wedding anniversaries.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
That what he was I was saying. If it was
his wedding annivers.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
It wasn't his wedding anniversary. He he just he just
put him base. Oh he was up to no good
or maybe some subconscient was only that can happen a
lot subconsciously. You can do stuff and it tells everything
about how you're really feeling. I think that this story
is never going to go away Justin Baner and Bieber
and Selena Gomez, because it was first love. It was

(08:13):
puppy love. They were together right at the beginning. I
think that story, well, it is part of your life.
Your stories don't go away. This is something we all
have to learn if something has happened.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
To you that is part of you, that is part
of your I mean, look picture, look at Justin and
Justin and Brittany.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
That story still is.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
It comes up every couple of years to months where
it was just like, remember Britney screwed over Justin and
Justin screwed over Brittany. I mean that happened over twenty
plus years ago.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Yeah, they're almost unrecognizable people at this point, particularly Britney,
and we're still talking about it. I think it's time
that we moved on. But if they won't move on,
when I say day, i'm talking about Justin. Selena does
not do this. Selena does not do this when Justin
got married or engaged. I don't think Selena's posting I
do video. So Justin, you know what you're doing. You

(08:59):
did it as I would guess. It might be subconscious,
but you know what you're doing and it worked where
you all jumped moving along. Harry is furious over quote
sabotage claims. So a British newspaper gave a really detailed
account of that meeting that he had with his daddy.
I think it was back in September tenth, about twelve
days ago or so. He met the King Charles and

(09:21):
they said it was cold and formal, which duh, it's
always cold and formal with Charles. He's not a lovey
dovey Pearson. And so it's branded as this is what
Harry's people put out of statement. So that's just not true,
and they said the quote is pure invention. They had
a really nice time. But this is where it's interesting.
Harry's spokesperson went further, pointing the finger. He said, these

(09:47):
claims are not true and they are somebody trying to
sabotage any reconciliation. So once again they met and we
didn't really hear much about that meeting. Now the Sun
in Britain has a really detailed and really detailed account
of what went down. That is the criticism about Harry
from the palace. It's loose lips. Every time they have

(10:08):
a private family moment, he tells the tale. And we've
only gone to look to his book Spare After you
write a book, a tell old book about your family.
It's probably you're not going to be the most trusted
person in the room, so not the most trusted. Lots
of details leaked out. Now Harry's people are pushing back,
saying that is just not true. We did not leak anything.

(10:28):
But they're saying that while releasing a statement. It's very
complicated for Harry here. I get it. He claims he
wants privacy and yet he does talk to the to
the press. But if the press wrote something about me
and my dad that wasn't true, I'd probably want to
lash out as well. This is just going to keep
going in Cirtles, isn't it. This is never gonna be fixed,

(10:49):
garacters never was always.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Going to be a problem, never ever, ever, Just like
the Justin and Selena story. I mean, I think once
you know, the family moves on and life moves on,
and you know, ten years when you know the king,
hopefully the king is around very long, but let's be honest,
when he does pass, whenever that may be, I think
that story still.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Will linger, you know, and still get it. It sucks.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
It's because you know, at the end of the day,
they're a family and and you know, you just you
want to think that it's just all rumors.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
But it doesn't feel that way.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
It doesn't feel that my breaking news. I broke this
story first last week. Taylor Swift is not doing the
super Bowl. It has just been announced that Bad Bunny
is headlining. Headlining the super Bowl. Bad Bunny. We thought
it would be Adele. There was some conversations with Adele.
Taylor did not work out. I told you about three
or four days ago that she was not doing it.

(11:47):
Bad Bunny, I think a great choice. The problem with
this choice there, Garrett, is after Taylor Swift's name has
been dropped, it's awfully hard.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
To begin credit a Bad Bunny because you never want
to be the person after the person and you know,
like that main person, like you don't want to you know,
you don't want to be the second person following someone
so iconic, you know. And given Taylor Swift didn't perform,
she was thrown out there so much that it was like,
oh my god, she's gonna do it. Then when she

(12:15):
wasn't announced that she's not gonna do it. You have
to be a performer that not to say doesn't care,
but has enough strength to go like all right, cool,
I'm still gonna put on a pretty hard damn show. Yeah, yeah,
you know, we're going to move on from this grandioso
idea that Taylor is going to do the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
I think it's a big I mean, he's fantastic, He
is fantastic. He's going to put on the great show.
Not Taylor Swift again. And I broke this story first
just a few days ago, Garrett. I think you you
agreed with me too. You had heard some rumblings too
that it definitely wasn't Taylor Swift. And that's because her priority,
Garrett editor at the top of the show, is this
new album. It's out in just a few days, and

(12:54):
everything about Taylor is going to be geared towards this
new new album. Okay, congratulations Garrett. Quickly before we get
a break. Chanelle Jones looks like she's going to replace
hold a copy on the fourth hour of The Today Show.
So Hoda left several months ago. They've had rotating, rotating host.
Chanel was off the show tragically for a while with
a horrible, horrible tragedy in her own family. She's now back.

(13:18):
I'm hearing that Chanelle is going to be the host
of the fourth Hour. They have not officially announced it yet.
I think this is a good choice. What do you think?

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Yeah, you know, and this is supposed to be announced
within the next couple of days, so you're pretty much
hearing it here first for the first time, and by
the time you listen to it, it might happen right
after you hear this, So you know, I think it's
a It's a very good fit.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
You know.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
I'm all about people that have been a part of
a team and you know, getting the chance, you know,
when it's your moment to shine. So hopefully she takes
advantage of it. And you know, we have we have
some kind of you know, symmetry. Some some it'll feel
like the The Today Show is complete, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, it does, doesn't. She fits in, they knowure. I
agree with you there, Garrett. There's too many jobs, too
many companies I've worked at where they don't promote within
And I think once you've paid your dues, once you've
been there, once you know that company, it's really nice
to reward the loyal people who are around you. And
I think there's a lovely thought. I hope it's true

(14:18):
that there is a ladder of success and that you
will be able to climb that ladder. You don't want
to have to keep leaving and going to a new
company every time you want a promotion. Really, really good
companies have a structure. They have a way for you
if you want it. You might not want it, but
if you want a promotion, if you want a bigger role,

(14:40):
there must be a way to do that. NBC News
is an excellent company, and a lot of people there
that started as pages really started at the entry level
in turn type positions are now doing exactly what they
want at whatever level that might be. Okay, we're going
to take a quick break and we will be right.

(15:01):
Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your
Hostob Shoo with their dear friend Garrett. Vote yeah, Garrett.
Let's get to the polls that they are. Disney are
considering moving Jimmy Kimmel Live to streaming only. Now, and
streaming only there are no FCC rules at the minute.
We're in a tricky place where the FCC can bully
people or knock shows off the air is quite a

(15:22):
tricky moment. Jimmy Kimmel might go to streaming and this
is not a punishment. Let me be clear here, this
is the future. This is where shows are gonna live.
He'll be the first late night host to make that
transition in such a big way. But I think eventually
it's all going to be streaming here, so maybe Jimmy
will pave the way. Our question was quite simple, do

(15:44):
you think this is a bold move or a risky bet?
Let's have a look. Sixty percent said bold, forty percent
said risky is always risky. Isn't it to change to
make a big decision like that, But it's going to
be happening very very soon. Hey, don't forget to vote
today's poul at Twitter page, at Naughty nys rob facebook
page is Nordy Gossip. AM sure to check back tomorrow

(16:07):
to hear your results. And now what it's time for
an icist of the day.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Oh all right, so let's talk about Morgan Spector becoming
pretty much the face of the Gilded Age.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yes, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
So it's supposed to be you know, Christine Bronski's and
Cynthia Nixon show, right, you know from HBO, and when
the show started they were the names, and then you know,
and then things kind of changed with the second season,
of course, and that's where the very good looking, incredible,

(16:45):
hunky Morgan Spector comes into play, who plays the robber
George Russell, and he I think it was one of
those things where they cast him not expecting him to
become the big heart rob that he is. But he's
winning literally everyone over, gay straight by all fans of sorts.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
They know this is him.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
It kind of is very reminiscent of when mad Men
first started and then all of a sudden it.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Was John Hamm's mad Men, you know, like yes, it
was very everywhere. I did not know this guy until
this show started. I knew him on the first episode
as like, hello, mister Russell, who are you?

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I don't know who you are, but I, like, I
had no idea. I'd never seen this actor before. Now
I'm watching movies and it keeps popping up. I was
watching a little bit of Boardwalk Empire, a TV show
on HBO. He's a character in that. I didn't even
recognize him. I didn't, but I was rewatching I was like,
oh my god, there's mister Russell. He's gonna He's been
a working actor for a really long time. He is gorgeous.
He's really, really talented. This is his moment. You never know,

(17:44):
do you. These shows launch and you expect them to
go one way. I thought this was going to be
Christine Baranski's show. It's by the same person that does
Doubt an Abby, Julian Feller. So I thought Christine Baranski
was going to be the Maggie Smith type breakout star
for this. No, no, no, it is Morgan. If you
don't know who he is, it's worth googling him today. Handsome, handsome, handsome,
and now Anna is the day naughty, naughty, naughty. Elizabeth

(18:07):
Hurley and Billy Ray Cyris. The love story is souring.
So these two got together and nobody could quite understand it,
but they were together. It was not fake. They were together.
Opposites attract. People say they were cute in a way.
But now their lifestyles are very, very different, and it's
putting a lot of strain on the relationship. She is
much more soarees and jets to London and Paris, and

(18:28):
he wants nothing more than to be strumming his guitar
in Nashville with his dog. So the worlds don't really match.
Love is wonderful but you gotta you gotta fit together
to it's gotta be a really good fit. I'm not
sure love can survive everything else that's throwing at you.
So these two best of luck, but it is not
looking good. Let's end with a murment of Robb being ready. Garrett,

(18:50):
it's a myth. Stop waiting for the perfect moment, because
it doesn't exist. It's not coming. You start before you're ready,
you stumble, you suck at it. Let's be honest, but
that's exactly how it's supposed to be, because with every
attempt you get better. Progress doesn't come from waiting until

(19:10):
you quote feel ready. It comes from daring to begin.
I think about this podcast. We've been doing this now
almost five years.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
I think crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
When we started, we were not very good. I listened
to one of our very first episodes. It was fine.
I'm not embarrassed about it. It was cuely enough. It
was good enough, but it wasn't great. And it became great.
I dare say so because we do it five days
a week, we do it year after year after year.
You gotta just start, Garrett. There's never a perfect moment

(19:40):
to start. In fact, let me change my mind. There
is a perfect moment to start and that is now. Hey,
that is it for today. Thank you so much for listening.
