Speaker 1 (00:09):
Vice.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Sure it's time.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
No, Welcome to the sham, your host drop Shooter, and
it is Wednesday, which means our dear friend Donny Meecham
is joining us. Donnie, it's been a minute, Donnie. Are
you there?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Love level Levello. I know, just because you missed my
melodogy we the luck on the rab.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You sound good. You sound good, mister my friend. We
did miss you. You're the originalty. The reason this show exists,
Donny Meecham, is because you were lucky enough to meet me,
or maybe the other way around, maybe I was lucky
enough to meet you. You taught me how to do it, Donna.
You taught me talk me, talk me. Yes, that's a bit.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I mean, I am the o G of Nanny but
nice radio. And it's crazy. It's been years now, I
mean the longest years of my life.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
But it's been years.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
But no, seriously, it's like, this is one of those
things you wanted to do it. And the thing about
me is people who want to do something, they show
an interest and they show like an actual driving, they
put in the work. I'm happy to walk them through.
I'm happy to stand beside them. I'm happy to do
everything I just hate when you have people who are like, oh,

(01:27):
I want to do doo doo do, but can you
do it for me? No? I don't do this.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
No no, Well, thank you for everything, Donnie. I don't
tell you that often enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
It's because of you that this show now really exists.
It's that simple. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
Let's jump in. What time is it? My friends? It
else tea time? So a big shocking story at the
top of the show, the Bezos effect. You know what
that is, don Bezos effect? What could that possibly be?

(01:54):
Let me tell you. Weddings in Venice have dropped after
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez fifty million dollar spectacle. So
first we had the Clooney bump, George Clooney got married
in Venice. Now we have the Bezos bust. So in
the wake of this really over the top wedding it
took place in Venice, sources are telling me that destination

(02:16):
wedding bookings in the floating city have plummeted, and they
believe this is a dramatic, dramatic reversal from the post
Clooney boom. So when George got married, there a decade ago,
everybody wanted to get married in Venice. It looks so romantic,
didn't it. Oh on the gondolas, it was so beautiful.
Maybe it was a simpler time back then, or maybe

(02:38):
George is not quite as vulgar as these two. Since
these two got married there, people are like, I don't
know if I want to do this anymore. I spoke
to a couple of international wedding planners and they said,
Venice is now off the top ten list. So if
you've got a lot of money, most people don't really
have this option. You get married kind of close to
where you live, where you can afford it, where you're

(03:00):
friends live, so that they can come to the wedding.
Your celebrities don't think like that. Billionaires do not think
like that. They go around the world picking these really
international venues. I think Tom Cruise and Kenny Holmes they
got married in a castle in Italy. We know Clooney
got married in Venice, and so Venice was always a
very romantic city. It will be forever, however, not the city,

(03:21):
but getting married there at the moment has a little
bit of tarnish. We are just starting to see the
backlash and it reminds me of that Spaceship member when
we were so excited that Gail King and Katie Perry
were going to space, and then when it happened, we
were sort of like, well, I was a big waste
of money and a big waste of time and nothing
really happened. That's what's happening now with this wedding Tonae.

(03:43):
Anybody that was into it, and a lot of people were.
The numbers are staggering on websites on the Internet. Now
people have turned on this wedding and Venice no longer
the place that rich people want to tie the nuts.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
What do you think, Well, here's the thing. I think
what it is is because it's not Venice's fault at all, obviously,
I mean we're talking about Venice in Italy, so obviously
the beautiful city in a beautiful country. But what it
is is, I think Bezos and Lauren made it seem unaffordable.

(04:19):
It made it seem unattainable. So I think people now
they're thinking, oh, gosh, I have to be a billionaire
to get married. Is it that expensive? So I think
it's like it's restructured people's minds. But also I think
the backlash surrounding it is there is just there's so
much going on in the world right now. I mean,
it's just and this once again looks so like rich

(04:43):
people just not caring. Rich people being tone deaf. But
I will say this though. The flip side of it is,
though if I had the money, and you know, Jeff
Bezos started Amazon in his garage, this is not you
know the man? Did you know? This is business not

(05:03):
having made the money LF made. He has the money.
It's his wedding, should he does he deserve to have
the wedding of his dreams?

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yes, read the room a.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Little a little bit, read the room a little bit.
But this is who they are. They are shameless about this.
I spoke to people that know them and they said
it's something they actually sort of admire. It's very trumpy,
and that they just don't care. This is who he is.
He has the money to back it up. Elon Musk
is very similar to me and you donoy. I'd be
hiding in my dishwasher, humiliated because we feel shame, and

(05:37):
maybe that's the reason we're not more successful. A lot
of really really successful people have no shame. They just
have no I'd say, don take it down and not sure,
let's not post that. I get worried sometimes of posting
pictures on Instagram. If I'm having two desserts instead of one,
I don't want to look like I'm showing off. I God,
imagine this d is when. But it is interesting. This

(06:01):
is on a big, bigger picture here. What celebrities do
we follow, What celebrities do we want to emulate? What
celebrity lives do we want to live. When I see
Taylor Swift at a restaurant in New York, I always
google that restaurant and see if I can get in,
see if I can afford to get in. Often the
answer is no, but I Taylor's if it's somebody I
pay close attention to. I think that Jeff Bezos and

(06:24):
Lauren have become the new Kardashians. They're really controversial. They
have more money than the Kardashians. They probably have more
power than the Kardashians. But it is interesting how some
celebrities are sort of highbrow, kind of fancy pants. When
George Clooney goes to the Polo Lounge with a moll
in New York and Bono, oh my goodness, I want

(06:45):
to go there if Jeff Bezos won't, I don't know
if it's sort of my my seeing anymore. There's a
taculous around them. Katie Kuric said that, but they are
who they are. Once again, this isn't a criticism, this
is just the reality. I'm really happy to be that couple.
But they shouldn't be surprised if not that many people

(07:06):
want to follow in their footsteps, Which brings us to
our pole question of the day. Apparently weddings in Venice
have dropped after Jeff and Lawrence fifty million dollar spectacle?
Has this turned you off Venice? Do you think of
Venice the same way now? Has it turned you off?
It's amazing, Johnny, when we watch the Olympics, I really

(07:26):
want to go to those countries. They look so beautiful.
The Paris Olympics made me desperate to go back to Paris.
I didn't really see any images, any photographs, any video
that I thought, Wow, Venice looks amazing. I didn't see them.
I did for Clooney. Remember Clooney was like on a
gondolier or a speed boat in his tuxedo. It looked

(07:47):
like mission impossible. It looked like Ocean's eleven, didn't it?
I didn't see any of those images of Venice with
the bezos ears. What do you think? Keko? Vote on
our Twitter page at Naughty nine rob our facebook page
is Naughty Gossip. I'm be sure to check back tomorrow
to hear your results. Hey Johnnie flexing your muscles. I
see you fix your hair a lot. Is it to

(08:10):
show off your muscly arms? Or is it actually to
fix the hair.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
It's just to fix the hair. Oh, it's just like
But I also I think it's just like es something
you do. I don't know why, just like one of
those like twitches, just a little thing.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Do you like playing with your Have you had a
shaved head? Would you touch your hair?

Speaker 2 (08:26):
No? I've never shaved my head because I've seen people
who shave their head and you just don't know what
it looks like.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Can't you go either work? Don't You could be Debi
Moore gorgeous or you could not. But it's a gamble
and then you gotta wait a while. I don't have
the Demi Moore money to buy a wig, so I
have to wait a while. Yes, I hear you. Okay,
back to the show. What are you working on?

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Okay, so sicken with the bezos Lorence Anchez wedding. I
mean who's who of who was there? There was Kim
Chloe Kardashi, Chris Jenner, Orlando Bloom, oh, Borah Winfrey. But
Lauren was very disappointed one specific person or he me

(09:07):
there was.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
It med Doi mecham was?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
He mean, well it was Delana but no, no, she
was met that Eva Lungoria.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
That's interesting.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Oh she was disappointed, no question. Eva is one of
her closest friends. And she goes, she was in Europe.
She could have made it work.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
She could she could have. She was she was in
Spain filming that CNN show she has, but she's not
only the star of that show, she's the executive producer,
which means she's the boss. And it's really close. It's
like an hour or so away on a quick quick plane,
and so she could have got to Venice really really quickly.
Europe's tiny, like to get from New York to California

(09:54):
takes longer than traveling around Europe. Like it's just such
a tiny little space. She could gone over for the wedding.
She's got enough money to get a flight back. She
could have had a private playing back. She could have
done this if she wanted to. And I think what
this brings up for me, Donnie, we talk about this
quite a lot, is that it's never I'm too busy.
It's that I don't want to do it. You're not
a priority. I'm a very busy person. And somebody I

(10:17):
know asked me if I wanted to do drinks tonight,
and I just was like, I can't. I'm so busy.
If Madonna called me and said, Rob, do you want
to do drinks? Hello, I think it's about priorities. Eva
didn't really want to go, and if she did want
to go, she would have been there.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
See. The thing is that Eva is very you know,
the show was on CNN, which is a political news channel,
and it's not smart. We're not going to argue it's
leaning left. It means a little more left these days.
Eva is very in the political landscape. I think Eva

(10:56):
saw the optics here, Oh that she knew what he
would look like and she didn't want to be dragged
into the I'm an elitist, especially with ice going on
and deporting ye immigrants. She I think she saw the
backlash there was eventually going to come, and she didn't
want to be looped in on it.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Smart she saw a head, didn't she. Whether it's political
or financial is she saw ahead and she made sure
you didn't need to be posting pictures on Instagram the
day of the word isn't like when when I say
I can't come because I've got a cold or I'm
not available, laylo, lay loo for the day, stay indoors,
order a pizza, don't go out. Okay, Moving along another

(11:37):
Jeff Bezos and I promise we're going to run out
of these stories, hopefully by the end of this show.
But there is so much news coming down of this wedding.
So now we hinted about this yesterday, but I got
more reports than Jeff Bezos is vowing revenge on Rosie O'Donnell.
Roso came hard after Lauren calling her a quote fake fembot,
so basically she's saying she's a robot and over sexualized

(12:00):
fake character. Rosie went really, really deep. She was not
pulling back a word. She said it was gross access
and she even said that he has sold his soul
and the devil is smiling at all this, but to
use the devil to use fake fembance. It's so extreme,
but it's so rosy. This is who Rosie is. And

(12:23):
now this source is a telling me that Jeff is
really not happy about it. You can come after Jeff
and make fun of him, make fun of his bald head,
make fun of the fact that now he's all jacked up,
he's all muscley, muscly. You can make fun of all
that stuff. But if you make fun of his word,
not so funny. I'm like that with Bruce. I don't
mind people making fun of me. I don't like it,
but I'm okay about it. But if you come after Bruce, oh,

(12:43):
I'm nasty and I don't don't forget. I think I
actually am on team Jeff here. I love Rosie I
always have, but this feels personal. It feels like she's
calling somebody fat or thin or body shaming, and I
don't know if I like Donnie, I don't like it.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
That's the thing to I will say this too. I
love Rosie o'donald. I remember as a kid going home
and watching the Rosie o'donald Show, and I just I've
always been a fan of Rosie. But my only problem
with Rosie is when she goes in, she goes low,
and she goes cutthroat, and she goes vicious. And every

(13:23):
time I'm always like, oh, you can force your opinion.
You could say, oh, look the optics don't look good.
This is a little much blah blah blah blah blah.
But then when you she just she goes too vicious
sometimes and I get vicious.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Oh no, I hear your here. It made me really uncomfortable.
And she posted pictures that were unnecessary here and I
was just like before and after pictures before Lawrence apparently
had plastic surgery and then afterwards, and how her looks
have changed. It's just such a viciousness. I hate seeing
women on women crime. I hate seeing us go after
people for particularly because of the way they look, come

(13:58):
after me because of what I do, not because of
the way that I look. Okay, quickly, before we get
a break, let's move on from this wedding and get
back to some more gossip in America. Well, the Bachelor
franchise is in crisis. What is going on?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Oh, well, so much Bachelor in his Bachelor in Paradise
is finally coming back this month after taking a year off,
and then The bachelorre just got renew for a thirtieth season.
But oh god, the Golden Bachelor, which is meant for
aging people, it's meant for older people finding love. Well,

(14:33):
the star mel owns he's sixty six. He publicly declared
that he wouldn't date women over sixty. It's like, big babe,
you're on you're starting on a show that's about dating
older women, and you're gonna come out and say you
won't date someone over sixty. Oh my goodness. It's one

(14:55):
of those things that's just because then it ultimately goes
back to, Okay, well, clearly you are on the show
for alterior motives, because you're not about dating older women.
To find an older woman. That's what the show.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
It's not called the Silver Daddy Bachelor, this is called
the gold Bachelor. I'm told that inside ABC they are
having emergency meetings. They are panicked because if we turn
on this, and I think we could, it's not good.
That Golden Bachelor was so charming until they didn't actually

(15:34):
find love the first time. I was very disappointed when
Jerry it fell apart, and it felt a little fake,
particularly after they got married on television. I thought they
were real. No, I think they were playing it to now.
I have the same feelings I fear about this new season. Shame, shame, shame. Okay,
we're going to take a quick break and we will
be right back. Welcome back to the naughty but nice

(15:57):
sharmom shoot if they did? From Donnie Meacham, Hey Donnie,
let's get to the pole. Last show we took about
Courtney Kardashian. She was invited to the bezos wedding, but
she did not go. She snubbed it. She would rather
spend time with her kids on a beach than with
a billionaire. Did she make the right choice? All eighty
seven percent said yes, she made the right choice. Don't

(16:19):
forget to vote on today's Paul. We're going to add
Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is
Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back to Barrau
to hear your results. Hey, Donna, LED's to and nicest
hmmm of the.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Giant nice of the day. Will Smith remember the movie
Wild Bow West? I loved it to this day, I said, West,
Jim West, Desperado rough Rada really know why not? I
don't know why? It's still that song? I could literally
just pops me and I can sing it.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Well.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
He celebrated twenty six years Wow, Wild Wild West come
out and how did you know? Will Smith do that?
Where an just gabboy hair over? I know where in
his fifty six years old?

Speaker 1 (17:05):
He looks great.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
He could be the Golden Bachelor. But I mean he's
very but you know whatever that my marriage is a
whole nother thing too.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
That's another vote.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
But wo West came out twenty six years ago. This
is the only photo.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I yes, wow, oh way, he looks great. Take a
look at the picture that I know. There's still controversy
over him after what happened at the Oscars, but he's trying.
He's trying, and he's reminding us why we loved him
in the first place. And let's be honest. Here on
the Nordy Vannicia a cute naked guy. Oh hello, hello, hello,

(17:37):
I'm the nicest of the day. And now I know
she's the day. Nordy Nordy, Naughty Dulgy and a banner
are refusing to dress Katie kurk after she insulted Laurence
Sanchez's wedding gown. So Katie Kuric came after Lauren saying
it lookd tacky the wedding dress, a picture was posted
of her in the wedding dress on the cover of Vogue,
and Katie said it was tacky. Well, what she didn't
realize is she was also insulting a major fashion house.

(18:00):
And so, moving forward, I hear from my sources in
the fashion world, Dultcy and GABAA are done with Katie Current.
Let's be honest, she probably wasn't on their top ten list.
She probably wasn't somebody they were desperate to dress like
a Taylor Swift and the huge celebrities out there. But nevertheless,
these stars love to borrow dresses, They love to borrow
clothes when they go to the red carpet. Katie, don't

(18:22):
have your stylist call Dulcy and Gabana. If you want
to say something looks tacky, then you don't. You shouldn't
expect them to want to lend you anything. If I
trash a celebrity, I shouldn't be surprised when they don't
want to come on my podcast or come on my show.
And so Katie, Katie, Katie, no is the day. Be
careful what you say online because when she said it,

(18:44):
You said it so as Wendy would say, say it
like you mean it. Let's end with a murment, a Rob.
Real respect comes from accountability. I can respect any person
who can put their ego aside and say I made
a mistake. I apologize and I am correcting the behavior.
That takes maturity, Donnie. It takes strength, and it takes

(19:06):
a level of self awareness that most people run away from.
Owning your actions, making it right, and choosing to grow.
That's not weakness, that's character. Because real respect isn't earned
through perfection, it's earned through accountability. Be accountable. When you

(19:29):
make a mistake, say I'm sorry, and then work to
fix it. I say sorry ten times a week, Donnie.
I'm often wrong. I often missay something. I often hurt
someone's feelings, and I don't want to. I am man enough,
I am human enough to say sorry. People that don't apologize,

(19:49):
people that don't change. I'm always very very suspicious of
if you make a mistake, say sorry. Got that hard?
Maybe it is you can do it? Hey, that is
it for today. Thank you so much for listening to
the Naughty Bit Nice with Rob and Donnie show a
