Speaker 1 (00:09):
Vibe. It's hell level, Lulu, Lulu, you welcome to the
not even nice shower. I'm your host, Rob Shooter and
it's Tuesday, which means our dear friend Delina Dixon joins us. Hey,
miss d are you there?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I am? And I'm so ready for the holiday season.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Oh me too. Talking of holiday seasons, we just got
invited David Barton and Susanne Barsh. I love these too.
David Barton is the Jim King Queen, some might say,
of New York City. He runs this fabulous droom quite
close to me, Miss d on twenty third Street. I've
been there many many times. It's a great place to
work out. It's sort of like a fabulous Jim but
(00:50):
also a nightclub. It has a really cool vibe about it.
His partner, Susanne Barsh, is the queen of late night
blesque in New York City. I've been to several of
her shows. They're very naughty, but they're very nice. They're
very cheeky, but they're also really really sweet. She really
blends that sort of late night vibe, but also I
(01:11):
think being a really good person. Well I know they're
really good people because they've invited us Misty to their
annual toy drive and holiday party. It's gonna be on
December twelfth, Misty, are you game? Should we go together?
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Absolutely? Actually, I've been collecting my toys. I went to
the opening of the gym, so they've reopened recently in
the areas you're speaking of. And there's such a cute couple.
The gym is fantastic. So I'm just gathering my toys
and I'm ready to go.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Let's go. And if anybody knows a good gym, Misty,
it's you. You know your way around the gym, Darling.
You are you really do?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I'm gonna go today.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
There you go. Okay, let's jump into our show. What
time is it, my friends? It is time? At the
top of the show is shocking story. So Hoder has
announced she's leaving the Today Show. She's leaving just a
few weeks. I think she only has three or four
weeks left. And when you leave a job, you get
a little bit more free, a little bit more open.
You can say stuff that you might not say if
you still worked there. So Holder is revealing something quite outrageous.
(02:13):
She said a former boss had a very shocking comment
to her about her weight, claiming maybe try the treadmill.
So let's be clear here. Holder is sharing that one
of her first bosses at a local news station. So
before Holder became the fabulous Holder we know on national TV.
Like everybody else, you start at the beginning, and Holder
(02:35):
started at a local news station. And she said she
was encouraged to lose weight with a very blunt suggestion.
She said the following quote. I still remember my boss
going to me, hey, Hoder, and I was like yes,
and he goes, hey, I got an idea. Maybe you
want to try and get on the treadmill. Oh my goodness.
(02:59):
Now at the time, Hobad said that she played baseball
in high school and she thought of herself, really is
in good shape, even though after college she probably wasn't.
Jenna Bush, who's on the show with Hoder, was shocked
by the comment and she gasped, no, what do you think, mister.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
I mean, nobody wants to be criticized about their body,
especially for a job. Unfortunately, because of the industry that
we are in, people can make those comments and sometimes
you have to think. And then an industry where I'm
on TV and this reminds me of when I was
on Gossip Table and I had to be pulled in
for a frank conversation about my hair color. So these
(03:37):
are things that people look at when you're in our field.
It's not right, but it does happen.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, I don't want to let them get away with
this because there's a way of saying stuff and a
way of not and telling somebody that they need to
get on a treadmill is just not the way now.
It is a visual medium. However, I do think there
is a place on TV, or there should be a
place on TV for all different sizes, all different all
different types. And I think what makes Hodas so successful.
(04:06):
Hoda's secret sauce, so to speak, is that she reminds
us of ourselves. She's not one of these six foot
supermodels that we see on TV. She doesn't look like
the deal or no Deal girls that we see on
that TV show, on the Game Show. She looks like us.
She's a more polished version of us. And I think
(04:27):
that she's so relatable Misty, That's what her success is,
So to mess with that is just terrible advice. How
did you feel when you were told that your look
wasn't what the network wanted?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
I mean, of course you've seen in yourself. Am I
not right? Am I not good enough?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
But then what you have to do is you have
to separate yourself and your own personality from the work.
So I just said, if this is what they want
and they're willing to take care of the cost for
the changes, it's okay. It's a little different when it
comes to your hair. Obviously, telling someone to get on
a treadmill could lead to people having eating disorders, trying
to work out so much to lose weight, and doing
(05:04):
things that aren't healthy. So it's a little different. And
I'm just so glad that Hoda just said I'm going
to be me and has worked for her. But I
want to make it clear in this industry, people do
ask for changes, and a lot of famous people have
talked about how people have made comments about their weight.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's heartbreaking, but it certainly is out there.
I think it's diminished a little bit. I hope it has.
But let me remind everybody. When Hoda first got the
job with Kathie Lee on the Today Show on the
fourth Hour, the boss didn't want to hire her. They
didn't think she was pretty enough. I know people at
(05:42):
the Today Show who've told me Hoda had a real
uphill struggle to get that job. She was on Dateline
at the time, and she went to a very senior
person at NBC and said, I'd love to try out
for the tenth hour. I think I can really do it.
And the producer said, I believe in you, but be
the holder that you are in my office. Be the
holder that you are right now, sitting on the floor
or sitting on my couch. And then Hoder went on
(06:03):
the show and she tried to be somebody else and
it didn't work, and she was pulled to one side
and she was told, stop trying to be somebody else,
stop trying to be Ann Curry, stop trying to be
Meredith or Katie Couric. Be holder, and once she was,
that was the secret to her success. Be yourself, everybody.
(06:23):
That's the only chance you really have, which brings us
to our whole question of the day. Holder's opening up
about a boss, and they're very shocking weight comments. Should
holder name names? You know who said it? Holder? You
know who said that? Should you name names? It's a
tricky one. I think I probably would. I don't know
(06:45):
if you would. Misde But should she name name? She
has nothing to lose at this point. It might help
other people.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Or is it just causing trouble? Go vote on our
Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob or a Facebook page
which is no gossip, and be sure to check back
tomorrow to hear at your results. He Misty, what are
you working on there?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Well, I'm gonna name names.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
And the names that I'm naming aret Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelsey because they marked a relationship milestone by celebrating
the holiday Thanksgiving with their families for the first time.
So nowI we had. Taylor's parents, Andrea and Scott Swift
played host in Nashville for the festive gathering, which included
Travis's brother Jason Kelcey, his pregnant wife Kylie, and their
(07:31):
three daughters. And the names are so interesting, Wyatt, Elliott,
and Bennett. Maybe somebody was expecting boys. So our sources
tell us that Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving
together with their families, and this occasion comes after speculation
that the busy couple wouldn't be able to make time
(07:52):
together for Thanksgiving with Travis and James's mom Donna, suggesting
Taylor's pack schedule might keep her away. Actually, it's probably
Danna's pack schedule because she's in a new Hallmark movie
and she's been traveling to do all the press for it.
But of course, in this case, love and good food prevailed.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Oh what do.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
You think about this when you spend Thanksgiving yes with
your significant others family.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Well, now my sources are buzzing. You know, I've got
some great tailor sources. I'm told to expect an engagement
announcement over the holidays. It's going to happen, I know,
big breaking news in the next four weeks or so. Everybody. Now,
nobody knows this apart from Travis and maybe Taylor maybe not,
but maybe her dad knows. But it's sort of like
(08:42):
an old fashioned guy Travis's so I wouldn't be surprised
if he hasn't asked Taylor's mom and dad's permission for this.
But I'm told at least people very close to them,
they think this is coming soon, and this thanks Giving togetherness,
these blending of the families. You don't do that if
you're just playing. You don't do that. If you're just
having a little bit of fun. They're together, They really
(09:05):
are together. They see a future together. Their families get along,
which is so important, Misty. I've dated dies who I
really liked, but they just didn't fit into my life.
And then the choice was do I blow up that life,
do I change that life? Or what I do? Do
I try and blend it together? It never really works.
This really does work. They fit together. Their parents get along,
(09:25):
their brothers get along, the whole family, their moms get along,
but most importantly, Taylor and Travis get along. To your hood.
You'd hear your first on The Naughty but Nice Show.
I think I think we're gonna see an engagement this Christmas.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
I'm ready, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Okay, moving along. I love this story. Brittany has rang
in her forty third birthdy as a free woman after
finalizing her disource from Sam. So Brittany is embracing her
independence the pop icon and she really is an icon.
Celebrated two John milestones on Monday, December two, her forty
(10:03):
third birthday. Gosh Misty with noan her since she was
a teenager. Now she's forty three, and also to the
official conclusion of a divorce from her ex husband Sam
California courts finalized the couple's divorce, marking a fresh chapter
for the singer. Brittany and Sam split in July twenty
(10:24):
twenty three after just thirteen months, so just over a
year of marriage, and now they are devorce. Now. While
the divorce was technically finalized in May, the new documents
reveal that everything else, all the other matters have now
officially been settled now. I think partly because there was
(10:45):
a pre n up here, it made it a little
bit smoother. But I'm happy for Brittany. I'm not sure
I want her to jump into love again. I want
her to learn to love herself a little bit. But
I want Brittany to be happy. Whatever you want to do, Brittany,
you almost nothink. You've been performing for us for years,
more than half your life. Do what you want to do, Brittany,
find some happiness.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Yes, obviously we've talked about Brittany's mental health and some
of the things that she's gone through. But hi girlfriend
was smart enough to sign a prenup, so she made
sure this divorced.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Hey. Look, she was like, love is forever.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
But if it's not, I want to make sure I
keep my money where it is in my pocket. So
I have mad respect for her. And we're going into
a new year, so it's nice to know that she's
going to start with a fresh sleep. And Brittany, just
concentrate on yourself and being the healthiest and happiest version
of you that you can be.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Sing it, Misty, I'd naughty question. I don't have a prenup.
So when I got married to Bruce, he never asked
and I had nothing, so I really didn't have any money.
But if he had asked me to sign a prenup,
I would have. I would have signed it, and I
don't think I even would have been insulted by it.
I think I'm okay with this. What about you, mister,
would you sign a prenup?
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Oh? Well, I'm gonna make my man sign a prenup.
I bring so much to the table.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
It's not even about what I have, It's just about
who I am. Just signed a crew saying that Miss
Da is fabulous, and even if we're no longer together,
I'm still gonna remember that she is.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
That's what my prenap's going to be.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
You with you, with the show, you might be the
nicest of the day. Okay, quickly before we get a break,
some really sad news about Elton John. What is he revealing?
Mysteria like this is sad.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
So he revealed a devastating turn in his health, sharing
that he has lost his vision and his right eye
due to an infection and now that his husband, David
Furnish is stepping up his primary caregiver. Now, the seventy
seven year old music legend opened up during the London
premiere of his new musical The Devil Wears Pride.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
I want to see yeah, then that's the William.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Admitting he was unable to see the performance, He said,
as some of you may know, I have had issues
and now I have lost my sight have been able
to see the performance, but I have enjoyed. And he
talked about David, calling him his rock and saying he
was taking care of him during this challenging time. Now,
(13:11):
the Rocketman singer has been battling eye health concerns since July,
when an infection contract in the South of France permanently
affected his vision. Now, talking about relationships, how do you
feel if if you're in a situation where you have
to take care of the person you've been with for
so long. It's it's got to be tough. But it
(13:34):
does say you know, in sickness and in health.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Oh absolutely, mister, there's no question about it. I will
be looking after you till the end of your days.
I love you, see or not, I will be with
you till then day. The two of us pop off
for our final drink botas Oh mistake. We had a
fabulous night last week think we did at Bray and
Miles and her delicious husband Trey, who I called Troy
(14:00):
all night, thank you very much. Or the next day,
my head Misty, we went large.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
We went to a couple different places after miss spree.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Because she was going to the theater.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
We should have gone with her because it would have
been a much more sophisticated and sober night. But we
went to many many places, and we were paying for
it for a few days.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
We were paying for it, although a night out with
you is always worth the price. We're going to take
a quick break here and we will be right back.
Welcome back to the Naughty but I show your homes
scrub shoot for our dear friend Missy. Hey, mistery, let's
get to the polls that I love this part of
the show. Last show, we talked about William and Kate
(14:45):
actually disagreeing with one another, so it's very rare we
hear about these two clashing. But this is going down
and let me explain. They're disagreeing over Prince George's educational future.
Kate wants him to go to a co ed school
boys and girls. Willi and wants him to go to
eat Them, which is a very fancy or boys school. Here.
What do you think about this? Should George go to
(15:06):
an all boys school? Let me have a look. Eighty
percent said, no, you think it's better to go to
a co ed school. Mister, did you go to an
all girls school? Mimus co ed?
Speaker 3 (15:18):
No, I went to a public school, so it was
meetoys and girls, and my nephews are going to a
co ed school, and I think it's good you learn
how to deal with young ladies and how to treat
them and just how to interact with, you know, girls.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
So it fifty percent of the population like it makes
no sense to me. I know they say there's some
academic benefits if you're not distracted, but for me, it
feels really strange. I can't imagine growing up and I'm
not straight, so it wasn't romantic. But at school I
learned have fantastic people. Oh boys, girls, black white. It's
(15:57):
just the melting pot. And so I'm with you and
you Kate Middleton, Kate, if you're listening, aloa lamaloa. Okay,
don't forget to vote on today's poll. Go to our
Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob or a Facebook page
which is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check that
tomorrow to hear your results. And now that's my favorite
(16:17):
part of the show. It's time for a nicest of
the day.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
Well, so our nicest of the day is Taylor Swift
because she brought her signature warmth to Arrowhead Stadium during
Friday's Kansas City Chiefs Gate, leaving one security guard's wife
star struck with an unforgettable FaceTime call. Okay, so, in
a TikTok video, Susie Drool revealed that Swift not only
(16:43):
tipped stadium workers, but she also took the time to
chat with her via a video call. Thanks to her husband, William,
we've been working security for the chief. So he basically
went over to Taylor and said, could you say hi
to my wife? And as Susie put it, I'll be
fangirling about this all year. My mom recently discovered Taylor Swift.
She now has a TS hat. So, Taylor, if you're
(17:06):
listening and you would like to call my mom might
tick her a moment, but she would probably fangirl out herself.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I love this. Taylor's a really good person. I've worked
with a lot of pop stars. I know a lot
of pop stars, and sometimes backstage that can be really mean.
They're entourage cat can be mean if you go back
for a meet and greet or to say hello afterwards.
Sometimes she gets screamed at by somebody. I'm like, what's
going on here. The nicest one that I saw was
when I worked with John bon Jovi. John was really
nice to security guards, backstage, to the catering people. It
(17:34):
was really really nice. He even gave me two tickets
to each show to give to people in the worst seats.
So I'd go right up into the top layer of
the stadium and I'd find two fans, real fans, and
I'd give them two tickets and say you're on the
front row, and they didn't know what had hit them. Well,
I got all the praise for it, but it was
John that did it. Do nice things. Taylor Swift, you
(17:57):
were a good, good person, and new celebrities who were
meanbacks urge. You know who you are no more said
let's do our naughtyus the day, naughty, naughty, naughty. Daniel
Craig is spilling on the Nightmare James Bond movie, saying
we just didn't have a script. So Daniel Craig has
been pretty blunt about the Double O seven film Quantum
(18:17):
of Solace, saying it was an effing nightmare. Now. At
the time, the Writer's Guild of America strike was going on,
so it left them scrambling without a script. He said,
we probably should have postponed it, but we didn't, and
then he had to step in and write some of
his own scenes. I think there's a few things that
are very naughty about this one. There was a strike
going on. You could have supported them, mister Craig. And
(18:40):
two trashing a film, a project that made you a
lot of money, that you promoted, You did a lot
of publicity. I look, because I talked to you, you're
telling me this movie is fabulous. You didn't tell me
then what you really thought about it. And naughtiest of
the day. Let's end with a moment of Rob. Rob
for twenty minutes. We love giving you all the celebrity
(19:02):
news or the celebrity gossip, but for a moment, we're
a little bit more deep. Today's moment of Rob. Your
self worth is determined by you. You don't have to
depend on someone telling you who you are. No, you
decide what your self worth is. Don't give that power away. It,
(19:22):
my friends, belongs to you. And that is it for today.
Gosh it flies by Misty. We have so much fun here.
Thank you so much for listening to the Naughty but
Nice with Robert mist Show, a production of iHeartRadio. Don't
forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or
wherever you listen to your podcasts. Leave us a review
(19:44):
if you can. They really do help and together. Sing
along with me, my friends. If you're going to be yes,
take care of everybody. It's not even nice with
