Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yes, it's time.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hell le Lo Low welcome you to the Naughty but Nicea.
I'm your host, Rob Shooter. And it is Wednesday. It
means a dear friend. Donny Meacham joins us. Hey, Donnie,
are you there?
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Hello, level Hello, it is Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Oh, it just feels good. This week feels good.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I don't know what it feels good.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
I have a lot to like gr on, but it
feels good.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
You have your health, you have your good looks, and
you have your best friend, Rob Shooter. I think very
plenty amazing things to me. I've been watching you, Donnie
on the Tickety Talk. I stumbled upon you.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
It's hard. It's hard. It's a full time job.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
It's a full I have missed the boat. I've missed
the boat. I have so much respect for all these
influencers who do this all day longer. I mean, you've
got to be a narcissist to start with, like, it's
always got to be about you, you, you, you. But
they do do the work I do one to day, Donnie,
and it's enough.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
It's exhausting because I sit there, I'm like, what am
I going to say? And then I'm just myself and
then I'm like, what is that what people want to wine?
Speaker 1 (01:11):
And You're like, you know what, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I think you're charming, followed Donnie if you are not. Yeah,
I started about six months ago and I try to
do one gossipy video a day. I should do two,
I guess, But my goodness, a lot of work.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's a it's a full time job.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Like all those people averybody makes fun of these influencers
and all that stuff. And it's like a post takes
hours because you have to edit it, you have to
perfect it, you'd put the right and then literally you
have to think about what you're gonna do.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
It's a full time job.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
It's a full time job. Mine are very bare bones.
It's just me and a camera. There's no edits. I
just don't live. But some of these influencers, they're really
produced likes and like a Steven Spielberg movie. Looks like
it could be at the movies too much. Okay, follow us,
but let's jump into ashow. What time is it? My friends?
(01:57):
It is two time. Big story at the top of
the show, so this isnew Matthew Perry documentary, and the
director is revealing why they cast of friends are not
in it. So the director of this new documentary it's
called Matthew Perry a Hollywood Tragedy, Well, that title alone
tells you why you're not getting Jennifer and Courtney and Lisa. Well,
he is saying that he invited them all to be
(02:19):
part of it. He invited David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox,
Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc, but they all declined to
be interviewed. He said, it's understandable that they were reluctant
to do a documentary about Matthew at this point. Maybe
in a few years down the line, maybe they'll do it.
Then listen, they're not doing this ever, they don't want
(02:45):
to talk about this. Remember when Matthew was alive and
they did a reunion special I think it was on HBO,
and they all made a million dollars each to sit
down for just an hour reunion to lorge friends going
to hate. It was a promotional thing for them. They
didn't just get together to chat. They were promoting the show,
(03:06):
which makes them even more money. And so if it's
not about the money, they're not doing it. But I'd
argue here, Donnie, that all the money in the world
is not gonna make them talk about Matthew. They don't
want to do this. No.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
The thing is is like, look, if matt died in
a way that wasn't so tragic. He died a fit
and not it's not like the most beautiful thing in
the world.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
It's very sad.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
And you know what, they don't want to talk about
it because A it's tacky, and b they run the
risk of it's still Hollywood. They run the risk of
hurting their own careers by seeing something out of pocket
or out of line or coming across judge or anything
like that. They loved this man. They spent People don't
realize to do it.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
When they're filming a TV show.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
You spend months with these Yes, hours on sage hours
and hour hours and hours.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Now you get so close to these people. They are
your family. Yeah, so no, I want to talk about this.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
They're not talking about this. I think you're right on
two levels. One, on a personal level, this is their
friend who died tragically, who died. Secondly, this is their income.
They still make all their money from friends, and they
tread very carefully around this. Franchise, and just the title
of this documentary tells you they're not going to do
it if it was a celebration of Matthew's life or
(04:30):
of his comedy. Maybe they've never spoken out. I think
after the death Donny they issued a joint statement we
said they would do that. They've not spoken about it since.
They've not done a single interview about it. I'm told
that if you ever get to sit down and interview
Jennifer or anybody else, you have to promise no questions,
no questions about Matthew, no questions about friends. And I
(04:51):
don't think it's because they're embarrassed. I don't think it's
that they're avoiding this. They don't want to touch it
because it's just too painful and be what do you
say say? Do you look like you're in denial? Do
you say we had no idea? They have talked about
they did have some suspicions. There's nothing here they can add,
there's nothing they can gain from doing this interview. And
(05:13):
insider told me the only way Jennifer will ever talk
about this is if she writes a memoir, which is
very unlikely. She's a very very private person. I don't
think we're going to get a tell all book coming
from her. So the only way she might talk about
it is if she did a memoir about her life,
and this might be one chapter. But that's not happening.
(05:34):
I get it. I get the reluctancy here. I'm no friend,
I'm no TV star, but I was very close with
Kate Spade, the designer, and when Katie died, many many
TV shows called me. They all have my number because
I go on and do a celebrity gossip and they
all asked me to come on and talk about Kate.
And I got booked on a morning show and I
canceled two days before because it just didn't feel right.
(05:56):
It just didn't feel right, which brings us to our
pohole question of the day. The Friends co stars were
nowhere to be seen in Matthew Perry's new documentary Should
they have participated? What do you think? Should they have
done the show? Now? I know Donnie and I have
given you all the reasons that they shouldn't. One of
(06:16):
the reasons that they should, Donnie is maybe they want
to keep his memory alive, Maybe they want to have
more of a balance, Maybe they want to talk about
the fun times because you know this documentary is going
to be sad, so maybe they could have injected that.
What do you think? Go vote on our Twitter page
at Naughty Ice Ramp. Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip
and be sure to check back. Dama Rouard. Do you
(06:37):
your results? Say? Donnie really working on.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Recod The only reason why I would say maybe do
it is because you know, the only people they're going
to get is the bartender who worked at Maddew's favorite
restaurant to talk about them.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, when friends don't do it, yeah, you just leave
behind people who don't like you. I was working with
Jalo and e True Hollywood Story was doing a lifetime
special Love of Jlo True Hollywood Stories that what it's
called were great, and Jalen initially told all her friends
Jennifer not to do it, and I said, jen, if
you could help all your friends, or you're going to
leave the people that don't like you. And then we
(07:10):
stacked to the deck with friends. But this is maybe
just a little bit too close. Okay, moving along, what
are you working on?
Speaker 1 (07:15):
The Royal rejection?
Speaker 3 (07:19):
We will say though that Megan is denying that it's true,
but you know, sources tell Page six that she was
dropped by William Morris Agency, which is the biggest agency
in Hollywood. Like she says, it's not true, but mostly
Page six wouldn't run something unless it's true. I know
Page six seems like a tabloid, but they are actually
(07:40):
very particular about making sure it's true.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
So I think that's what we have to watch.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
But also it's very It's interesting that she would get
dropped now, right before the Netflix thing, because who's get.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Agen You must have already gotten paid. Yes, well they
know something too. They do know something. I know the
person Mara who wrote this story for as a terrific reporter.
So it's an odd story because the headline is that
Megan got dumped by William Morris really for being too difficult,
too needy. They just didn't really want her a rand anymore.
But then the second sentence of the story is a
William Morris spokesperson saying we still represent her now in
(08:15):
my newsroom. That would have killed the story. If I'm
going to do a story and you say no, we
still represent them, I feel like there's no story here.
So the fact that it ran, and the fact that
Mare is such a good reporter. There's more to this.
What I'm being told is they might not represent Meghan
and Harry anymore, but they might still represent archwell, so
William Morris CIA. These big agency don't just represent individuals.
(08:37):
They represent companies and charities, so maybe they still represent
part of the business, but not all of it anymore.
The part of this that I do have difficulty buying
them is that William Morris Agency Entertainment, they represent some
really tough people. So I can't imagine that Megan Mockle.
Of all the celebrities in Hollywood, Barbara Streisant, I mean,
(08:57):
Ariana Grandee, there's some really, really tough of celebrities out there,
it is Megan Really the worst. Page six are saying, yeah,
she's too demanded in, too difficult to work with. If
these Hollywood agencies dropped clients because they were too difficult, Donnie,
they were not any clients, So it doesn't mean what
(09:18):
could she possibly. She's probably pushy, she's probably a bit needy,
but so is every celebrity.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
The thing is, though, is I wonder if it William
Morris is your agents will deal with Netflix, So William
Moore's deal with Netflix Meghan's not sitting in a room
with the Netflix higher ups. At first, it's William Morris
and Netflix kind of going at it. I wonder if
William Morris already knows that Netflix is already.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Kiboshing this whole. Oh maybe Megan thing they know they're
not going to renew it.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Maybe yeah. These agentci so on you make money when
you were working, so they make ten to fifteen, maybe
twenty percent of what you make, and so if you've
got a lot of work, you can be on their books.
My experience is, outside of really bad conduct, really really
bad behavior, these agentsies will represent anybody that makes money
(10:10):
on Monday and the minute you don't make the money.
When I had my show on VH one, to the
amount of agents that called because they thought I was
earning a lot of money the minute the show ended,
had I returnd any of those calls, they probably would
have taken them. They only want you in you're heart,
They only want you when you're working. They only want
you when you are making the money. And maybe Megan
(10:30):
now has peaked. I think she probably has. We will
find out very soon because this Netflix show is really
going to be a moment to tell all moment Okay,
moving along. Andy Cohen has rejected Kelly ben Simone's suggestions
for recasting the show. So on yesterday's podcast, we talked
about Kelly ben Simone. She used to be on the
Real Housewives of New York. I've known her forever. She's
(10:51):
very funny, a little bit zady. Well, she decided to
send Andy Cohen just the list of names who she
thinks should be cast on the show. Now, any person
from the original cast that she thinks should return is
Kelly brilliant. Why don't you hire me back? And I'll
(11:12):
cast everybody else well, And he is now confirming me. Yes,
she did send me a list, and she did put
herself at the front and center of it, and everything
was really around her. She anchored this new show. And
then Andy added that she does email him way more
than you might expect. I had a boss, you know him, Donnae,
(11:34):
a big editor of her magazine. Kelly ben Simone sent
him so many emails like just so thirsty, so on it.
I think I admire it. I think this is what
you have to do if you were a reality star.
It's not just Kelly. All those ladies or most of
those ladies are super, super aggressive, and so I did
(11:55):
get it. But what I do giggle about is all
the people in the world to cast to be the
star of the reboot. Do you know who should be? It? Me? Me, me, me, me,
me me. She put herself, she put a name into
the mix.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
It's ballsy.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
And you know, I just the constant emailing about just
random everyday things annoying, but the email a list of
people you think the show should be centered around on
a recast and have you at the time.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
I mean that is I want to buy her a
drink and I want to go out. I'm gonna do
a Shati fire bar with her. I want to buy her.
It's fabulous. It's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
And you know Andy, Andy is tricky but you know, yes,
you know he opened that up and was like, oh, Kelly.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
We'll get that list about it. Yeah, we'll get that list.
We will, He'll leak it his brilliant I left out light. Okay,
moving along. Don Lemon is back, but this time he's
really angry with Megan Kelly. What does he have to say?
What's going gone?
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Well, basically he told Megan Kelly to go f yourself.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Basically so an MSNBC, which is actually about to be
spin off, so it's MSNBC and NBC News are one
company now, so they're now eventually going to be it's
two separate companies. So MSNBC will have their own budget,
their own money, their own whatever. And so they just
did it kind of a little bit of a reshuffle.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
They're in the middle of it right now. And enjoy
read her show got canceled.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
What happens, It's happens in TV a lot.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah, and then Meghan, of course Meghan had to come
out and she was trashing, trashing George, but of course
Donald Trump did too, and it's just you know what,
I like this because Don Lemon, Hey, not a lot
of black people.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
On MSNBC, so in fact, not canceled the.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Black person Show is a little ah, but I can
understand where it's coming from.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
But also, don't you have something better to do? Meghan?
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Like, I think it's about trolling us, And it's just
so exhausting. There's so many people now and it really
is housewives and politicians and reality stars that have just
learned they get attention by saying guy right. Just so
whole thing all into this trap and so Meghan Kelly,
Bethany Frankel, they talk about other celebrities all day long
and say terrible things and then we cover it. And
(14:08):
so part of me is like, Oh, I don't even
know if I want to do this story. However, the
reason I'm doing it is that I've known Don Lemon forever.
He might listen to our show. Don you fell into
the trap too by you now attacking Meghan. By trolling Meghan,
the circle is complete. I have to be very careful
about this, Donie, because I can get down in the land.
(14:30):
If you punch me, im't punch you back. And it's
actually better, I think, to just walk away because what
I might criticize you for doing, I've just done myself.
And so don you couldn't You didn't have to use
the F word. If you have strong feelings about this,
I think you could have expressed it in a different way.
But be careful about trolling. Trolling a troll is still trolling.
(14:52):
Don't do it. Okay, We're going to take a quick
break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
the Norty Venaishami host shoot with their differend Donny Meecham. Hey, Donny,
let's get to the pool. Thank you. Last year we
talked about the deep rift between Harry and William. Isn't
just straining their own relationship, it's really heavy on the
hearts of their loved ones. Is it time for these
(15:13):
two to kiss and make up? Let's have a look.
Seventy six percent said yes enough. If not for yourselves,
do it for your families. It's interesting, Donnie, when we
fall out with somebody, it's not just us to fall
out with them. It's our friends, it's our loved ones,
it's our whole network. It becomes really really awkward. If
somebody was cruel to you, Donnie, I'd have a real
(15:33):
hard time being nice to them. I would, I would
defend you. And so this is very very complicated. Time
to kiss and make up? Pay don't forget to vote
on today's poul We're going to work. Twitter page, had
naughty nicer are about? Facebook page? Is Nady Gilslin? And
be sure to check back time out Routwater hear your
results and no, there's time for our nicest of the day.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Well as it might look like Travis Kelsey might retire,
it might be yes, even Patrick Mahomes alluded to it
after the Super Bowl loss. He has not spoken out
really about it, So I think if he wasn't retiring,
he would come right out and say I'm not, I'm not,
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Or he's waiting for.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
A multi million dollar contract, which good for him, but
he might have a backup career because Hollywood is calling
him now. I will say it straight from me to you.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
He is hot.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
That man is gorgeous. But just because you're gorgeous doesn't
mean you should be in movies and TV. I'm interested
to see because you know he's in this new dark
comedy My Dead Friend Zoe.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
But the producers are actually telling people he's.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Good, and he's good good.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Actually I want to see it.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Oh you wait into I felt the same though. You
know a lot of sports figures that went into to
TV I didn't believe in. And then Michael Straham came
along and he's great. I'm told he could be the
next Michael Straham. I'm told Travis is being groomed to
be the next big thing on TV. We will wait
and see. But how lovely that he's got all these
options and nicest of the day, and now is the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty.
(17:09):
David Beckham's mother in law can not stop zooming in
on his underwear ads. So David revealed that his mother
in lawd Jackie, who is seventy three, admitted that she
zooms in on his sizzling Hugo Bars underwear photographs. He
does look delicious. She told him you can see everything,
and he told her, then don't zoom it. Great response,
(17:31):
Great response. I think we're all a little guilty of
maybe staring a little too hard for a moment too
long on mister Beckham's fabulous underwear ads. But his mother
in law now Victoria Beckham, her daughter his wife, has
yet to comment on these cheeky, cheeky, cheeky confessions of
(17:52):
her mom. But fans are eating it up and if
nothing else, even though it's the naughtiest of the day,
it's given us an excuse, Donny, to go and have
another luck because oh yum yum, your man, it is
the day la same with the moment of m I
can't change the direction of the wind, but I can
adjust my sails to always reach my destination. Let's think
(18:14):
about this. You can't change the direction of the wind,
what we're saying here is you can't change your circumstances.
You can change the decisions you make within those circumstances,
but you can't change your circumstances. So if the wind
is blowing the wrong way, as you're not gonna change
the direction of the wind, but you can change the
directions of your sails. I think that's so beautiful, Donnie.
(18:37):
I've had to do this a lot. I've always fought
against the system, and I've always lost. I can't beat it,
but I can adapt. I can change the way I
react and then I win. Have you learned that lesson, Donnie? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:51):
I think you know. You just have to. I'm very adaptable.
It's what I do. I just like I move with it.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
But also if something's not working for me, change it,
change directions. Changing and changing directions is okay. A lot
of people think you when you change directions, you failed. No,
you're changing directions because you're moving to where the wind
is pushing you.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Out, is pushing into the sale. It's allowing you to move,
allowing you to be free.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Absolutely beautifully said, change your sales today, my friends, because
we can't change the direction of the wind. Hey, that
is it for today. Thank you so much for listening
to It's already been Nice with Rob and Donnie Show,
a production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe on the
iHeart Radio app Bupple podcast. Wherever you listen, leave us
a review if you can. They really do help and
remember all together and I let me hear you singing
(19:37):
along if you're going to beat you cat to be
a nice take everybody but nice with Rah
