Speaker 1 (00:09):
Vie. Hell, Hello, welcome to the nice show. Your Hostop
Shooter and it ISNA, which means our dear friend Donny
Meetcham joins us. Hey, Donnie, are you there?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Hello? Level below Wednesday. Wednesday Wednesday, favorite day of the week.
Get to hang out with rub shooting.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Gosh good, he's gracious. You're so kind, darling. I love
our Wednesdays together And in a few weeks you might
even be able to see us. I haven't told Donnie
the news yet. I heart have asked if I would
start recording visually some of the episodes for their YouTube channel,
and I think would be pretty fun of it. Donnie,
your game, aren't you? We'll do it here on the zoom.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
This here deserves honey.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
That's the truth. Hell, that's the truth. You look good,
my friends. I know it's always beautiful people who have
no trouble with cameras. You. I'm the one that's like,
oh do we have to do this? And I will
look und and will have a very soft light, buy
one of those little ring lights and look very very soft.
So in the next couple of weeks, I shall let
you know when you can actually watch the show as
well as listen to it. Let's jump in my time?
(01:15):
Is it my friends? It is teaching a really big
explosive story at the top of the show. So her
judge has ruled that a real housewife I'll tell you
who in a moment, can take Bravo to court over
coercion and harassment claims ce Liam McSweeney, this has been
going on some time, has scored a major legal victory.
(01:38):
She can now take Bravo to court because a federal
judge ruled just a few days ago that the Real
Housewife of New York, the former Real Housewife of New York,
can move forward with her explosive lawsuits alleging the brother
producers mocked, manipulated her and her sobriety. For a source
(02:01):
close to Leah tells me they tried to break her,
but now she's fighting back and she is not backing down. Now.
What's gonna happen next is that this ruling, he has
really cleared the path forward discovery, meaning both sides will
now exchange private texts and emails and everything is under oath.
(02:22):
So Andy Cohen, you bet even careful what's on your
phone because now everybody is going to know. This is
a landmark case, and it's really sent shock waves through
the reality TV world for using networks to confront how
addiction and mental health is handled on their shows. Up
to now, Donnie, there's been no guidelines. It's been the
(02:45):
wild West. You could pretty much do within the law
anything you wanted. But now we're going to figure out
what should be done, what shouldn't be done. What's the
moral compass here? This is going to get explusive.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, but it's also it's surprising because all of her
claims in rulings as have had been shot down in
the past. So judges have been like, no, no, no, no, no.
But something in this which we aren't sure exactly what
the terms are here, something in here they think is
relevant in needing to be preceded. I am interested to
(03:22):
see if Bravo and Andy are push her to some
sort of settlement.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Oh, a settlement when when they settle, they pay a
lot of money. They throw money at you and it disappears.
Now I have an answer for what you're saying about
the judge. The judge did toss out some minor portions
of the case, so part of her her accusations have
been thrown out. But the core of her case remains.
This is the core of her case. She's accusing the
network and Andy and the production team of targeting her
(03:50):
alcohol addiction, pressuring her to drink during filming, and undermining
her recovery. So producers might have joked about her, they
might have taunted her, They even might have encouraged her.
All this is going to come out. I think the
world has changed. When we first started to enjoy Housewives,
(04:11):
what ten fifteen years ago was that long ago. I
think we still were in a very different place. It's
like when American Idol first started, Donnie. My favorite part
of the show was when they really made fun of
people with learning disabilities. Let's be honest here, William Hung
and people that came on and thought they were great singers,
they were not great singers. And I used to laugh along.
It wasn't funny recently, just like making fun of somebody's
(04:35):
disabilities or that their mental health issues, their sobriety. It
doesn't make me laugh anymore. And I think Bravo now
have to fundamentally change this show or finish it. Maybe
it's just ran long enough, Maybe it's time after fifteen years.
Goodness knows they've made hundreds of millions of dollars. Is
it just time to move on?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
It also goes to the show with the whole Blake
Lively just about DNA into with us and this intimate
coordinators and moving forward. I'm sure every movie set is
going to make sure they have one and it's just
it is time. I think. Look, reality TV is ran
on insane on drama, but there's a certain point of drama.
Somebody's sobriety has nothing to joke with. And if you're
(05:17):
pushing somebody just for ratings like that, there's enough other
drama and dumb things that these people do without pushing
somebody's buttons in somebody's issues.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. They seem to target people who are
easily wound up. They seem to get vulnerable people who
want to be on these shows and they think fame
is going to change their lives, and he does, but
never for the better. It always gets worse, in my opinion.
But this is going to be a real reckoning for Brav.
I can't wait to hear what other people are going
to say, because you know, the Bethany Frankels, the Lisa Rennes,
(05:51):
the leaks everybody that has feels like they've been wronged
by Bravo's going to come forward. There's lots and lots
of examples. There's lots and lots of receipts. This could
really cost Bravo a lot of money, which brings us
to our pole question of the day. A judge has
ruled that Real housewife Leah McSweeney can take Bravo to court.
(06:14):
Our questions very cheeky, but he did make me giggle.
Do you think Bravo should televise the trial? I would
watch because I love a televised trial. I do remember
the OJ trial and Michael Jackson trial. Should this be
Remember the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial? Should this
be televised? Imagine Andy on the witness stand. He'll wear
(06:37):
all black pearls, look very somber. Should it be televised? Hey?
Go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rama.
Facebook page is Nordy Gossip and be sure to check
back to my router. I hear your results. Hey, Donny Love,
what are you working on?
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Is also very said? So Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea has
been sentenced sent hinted sorry after her drug arrest, and
Rosie admits that she tried everything. So remember Chelsea O'Donnell,
she got arrested multiple times for math, possession, bail jumping,
and resisting arrest. Well, she was sentenced and luckily she
(07:15):
got off fairly easy six years probation. But the judge
made it clear this is her last chance. She's been
given one more chance, but this is her last. And
Rosie told a friend at the time, look, I have
tried everything, and it goes to show that you can't
(07:36):
help somebody who doesn't want to be helped. And I think,
and that's what Rosie said. You can't force someone to
save themselves. And it's sad because it's her daughter, and
so you know that Rosie is like just wanting to
reach out, wanting to help her, but it goes you
cannot help somebody who doesn't.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Want to be helped. It's true. We know Kelly Carpenter,
the mother the ex wife Rose. It's just heartbreaking here.
I've been around Kelly when her phone rings and it's Chelsea,
and you can tell just by the expression on her
face that it's just not good. You can't help people
that don't want to be helped. I'm told that Rosie
was thinking of leaving America. She's now in Ireland, but
(08:15):
she was going to leave earlier, but she didn't want
to leave Chelsea behind. And I think she has terrible
guilt now that she's just not here. But even when
she was here, it didn't help. You know, it's irrational,
isn't it. You think that you can make a difference,
and you often can't. And I think Rosy's got to
that point. Certainly, she's been challenged year after year. She's
(08:35):
really really struggled with Chelsea since she was a teenager. Donnie,
it's not been easy. It's so easy to be mean
to Rosie o' donald to sort of push her to
one side. But what she's done for gay and lesbian
and the queer community's extraordinary. Donnie. I've got a soft
spot for her. I always have had.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Oh I've loved her ever since I was a kid.
I used to watch her talk. But also what she
has done for kids. It has that plays roses Broadway
kids in New York City, and these are kids who
are homeless and kids who are in foster care, whose
parents have abandoned them, and she gives them a place
and it's free.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
She pays for this. It's not free for us. She
she writes the check. She invited me to one of
their benefits, and I sat at this great table. It's
a great nice She paid for all that.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
She pays for it.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
It's amazing. It's just heartbreaking. Okay, moving along, Blake Lively
and just In Baldoni. Their drama is being accused of
being very high school. I just love this. So there's
a new documentary act called In Dispute Lively in Baldoni,
and it's all about what actually happened between these two
Coast stars. The movie did pretty well, so all this
(09:44):
should have been a good, good thing. But they just
hate one another so much that one expert described it
as quote the most high school fight people with millions
of dollars could ever have. So these are two rich, rich,
rich people much richer than the other, who are just
bickering and fighting. They said, this is not a Hollywood
(10:06):
feud anymore. This is a reputational death match. And I'm
not sure there can be one winner, or even two winners,
or any winners here. I think they're both going to
destroy each other. The only people that are gonna benefit
from this, Donny, are the lawyers. They're going to earn
millions and millions of dollars. I think if I was Blake,
(10:27):
I would pick up a phone. I'd call Justin. Orf
I was Justin, I'd call Blake and say, let's settle this.
Let's sit down and figure out an exit ramp for
both of us, because if this goes to trial, neither
one of us are going to win. It's going to
cost both of us a lot of money. It's high school, Donnie,
it is high school. What do you think about all this? So?
Speaker 2 (10:45):
I actually I watched this Wow series actually last night.
It was fabulous, only because there's a lot of stuff
I didn't know, but also I just while watching it,
I also went back and forth. I was like, oh, oh,
Blake's got it. Oh just just oh Blase. Oh, I'm
like that. It just kept going back and forth, back
and forth, back, And that's the scary part.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah, there's no hero to this story. They both seem
not the greatest people. Let me add okay, moving along.
Helen Mirren, who I love, and she is not afraid
to tell the truth even when you don't want to
hear it, has some very profound words about the James
Bond franchise. What does she have to say?
Speaker 2 (11:26):
She's basically thinking it's profound sexism, basically wrong. No, she's
not wrong. She said the whole concept of James Bond
is drenched and born out of profound sexism. And she
calls the films not her thing, and you know, it
goes on to say, although she's made it clear she's
you know, doesn't care for the care for the films,
(11:48):
she has made it clear that she also doesn't think
it should be recast as a woman. Instead, she says,
why don't we just make other movies where women are
the lead? And he goes read Red was with Helen
Mirra and Bruce will as fabulous. Why can we make
more movies like that?
Speaker 1 (12:06):
You know, she has a point. Instead of trying to
make something better, end it and let's start something brand new,
like we don't have to do this. I personally very
much enjoy a James Bond film, but I can acknowledge
the sexism. I can see it, and particularly the older
Bond films, the new ones with Daniel Craig seem to
be trying a little more. Emmy's now a woman, and
(12:29):
so I understand it, but it's really just meddling with
the edge. It's the heart of the James Bond franchise.
And certainly, if you've ever read Ian Fleming's books, the novels,
they're really really sexist. This man uses sex and women
like trophies, and so I get what Helen is saying.
(12:49):
It comes as a difficult time for Bond because the
Brocoli family, who have owned it for sixty years, have
just sold it to Jeff Bezos, so we're gonna see
some big changes there. So maybe we will get a
female Bond. But I think Helen's right here. Instead of
trying to make an old dinosaur of a spy into
somebody modern, into some person that is modern, throw it
(13:10):
out and let's focus on some new stories. Okay, quickly,
before we get a break, Prince Harry sent a very
unpleasant message to the head of his charity. Let me explain. So,
Prince Harry has been accused of telling the head of
the charity that he worked with, her name is doctor Sophie,
that she needed to put out a statement defending Meghan,
and she said, we are not an extension of the
(13:33):
Sussex Brands. Now, a source went on to say, quote,
it wasn't a conversation, don me, this was a royal
order and it did not go over well with Harry
or Meghan when they were told no. I like Harry
and Meghan, but I also know too that if you
(13:53):
will brought up literally a prince from the day he
was born, When you walked in a room, it didn't
matter if you were a grown man or woman, you
had to bow to this little baby. You would bow.
How humiliating me and you Johnny would walk into a room,
would bow to a three year old a six year old,
like really, yes, And so that has to mess with
(14:14):
your head. He's not used to being told no. He
wanted something to happen. He didn't really request it, he
demanded it, and when he was told no, I think
he got pretty nasty.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah, because there's a lot of celebrities are like that.
They're just used to always getting their way. Because there
are celebrities some when they don't get their way, they
act out and it's like a child. But he's perpetually
a child.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, Harry, Honestly, this is all so nasty. It's all
going to come out, my friend. Don't pretend that none
of this is happening. Stand up, maybe put out a statement.
I think if you said, I'm not really proud of
my behavior and I've had this really weird life and
i want to get away from that, I think that's
a way of maybe winning some people by I'm not
(15:00):
going to count these two out yet, I still like them. Okay,
we're gonna take a quick break and we will be
right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show.
I'm your heads from Shoot You with idea friend Johny Meacham, Hey, Donnie,
let's get to the polls left a duh forgot our
sound effect? Almost thank you for reminding me. Last show
he talks about. Kelly Clarkson's name has emerged as a
(15:22):
possible replacement for Holder on the Jenna Bush Hour, the
ten o'clock hour. Our question was very simple, would you
watch Kelly Clarkson and Jenna Bush. Let's have a look.
Seventy percent said yes, Yes, Yes, I think people really
love Kelly Clarkson. I really I don't think it's gonna happen.
My sources said, this is probably not gonna happen. Who
(15:42):
would leave their own syndicated show to go and be
on the fourth hour as a sidekick or as a
co host of another show. So this probably isn't gonna happen,
but if it did, sign me up. Okay, don't forget
to vote on today's Paul. Go to our Twitter page
add naughty nice rom or our Facebook page, which is
Naughty Gossip. I'm sure to check back to my brow
(16:02):
to hear your results. And now it's time for the
nicest of the day nice.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
So the day is Jennifer Lawrence and she welcomed baby
number two kid Congratulations with husband Cook Maroni and a
source of very close friends. As jenns overjoyed motherhood has
transformed her and baby number two just deepens that love.
She's very protective of her family, so don't expect a
(16:35):
name drop on Instagram. And it's true because Jennifer Lawrence,
you know, was in all these movies back to back
to back to back to back, and now she has
kind of taken a break and kind of slowed down
and she's focusing on herself and her family, which I
respect and I love.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
I love this. Hey, congratulations, congratulations, and now I know
she's the day. Sean Lennon, John Lennon's son is blasting
Rachel Sickler snow White as a ungrateful brat, so out
of the blue he went out to snow White. Now,
there's been a lot of controversy on this movie, some legit,
some I think a little bit mean. Some some you know,
(17:11):
people have really this has gone unto people's skin, and
of all people Sewn Lennon calling anybody a spoilt and
ungrateful brat. When your father is John Lennon, your mom
is Yoka Own, No, you've not really had a job.
You live in the lap of luxury. He lives at
the Dakota in a multimillion dollar apartment that clearly mommy
(17:34):
and Daddy is money paid for Rachel. She might have
said somethings she don't like, or maybe she's not the
snow White half of your dreams. But she's self made.
She's done it herself. Nobody handed her money, Nobody handed
her an apartment in the Dakota. Her last name is
not Lenin. She didn't have these doors bushed open by
mommy and Daddy. A real weird thing here. I'm not
(17:57):
quite sure why he did it. I will get to
the bottom of it. Hey, let's end with a moment
of rub you got, rub, you rub, you gonna rub.
The power is in the present. Do not dwell on
the past, do not dream of the future. Concentrate your
mind on the present moment. The past is gone and
you can't rewrite it. The future hasn't arrived and you
(18:19):
can't control it. But right now, that's where your power lives.
So take a breath, Donnie. Let me hear you, take
a breath, be here right now, because the life you
want is built one present, moment at a time. I
(18:40):
truly believe that, Donnie, be in the moment. How many
times are you doing something you're really enjoying and your
mind races ahead for tomorrow or the next hour, or
you think about yesterday and something that you didn't say
that you wish your hand, And it's just amazing how
we sabotage ourselves for twenty minutes every day. The joy
(19:01):
of just focusing on the naughties, on Donnie, on celebrity gossip,
on celebrities we love. It's an absolute pleasure. And why
is it a pleasure? Because I know power is in
the present. Hey, that is it for today. Thank you
so much for listening to an already a bit nice
with Rob and Donnie Show, a production of iHeartRadio. Don't
(19:24):
forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or
wherever you listen. Leave us a review if you can.
And Donnie, how do you feel about us maybe being
on camera next week? Give me the truth. I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I generally think it's fair.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
I do.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Do you need to see my thing?
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Oh that beautiful face. I think we could get more
more listeners. Oh your face and my voice. I know
maybe you'll be on camera and I'll just be a
voice in the darkness that I look fine. I look fine. Hey,
let's end with our tagline. Everybody, remember, if you're going
to be naughty, you you've got to be let me
(20:04):
hear nice, take care of everybody. It's not even nice
with Rob
