Speaker 1 (00:13):
And and low and low and lower low. Welcome to
the Naughty but Night Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
and it's Tuesday morning, which means our favorite person, our
favorite friend, Miss D is here. Hey, miss D, how
are you?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I am so good Tuesday. It's kind of a chill
morning today. The weather's not too hot, it's not too cool,
it's just kind of nice.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
What about you, Yusky Shooter.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
I know we're getting a little bit of a of
a late start this morning.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
We both slept in a little autumn sleeping right.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
You're giving away our secrets. We did start a little
later today, but hopefully we'll have it posted by nine
a m. Let's jump into the show. What time is it,
my friends? It is tea time. There's a big story
at the top of the show and sort of upsetting too.
So Kelly Ripper forgot to thank Did she forget or
did she deliberately not forget Regis while receiving her Disney
Legend Award. I'd never heard of these, missus. Do you
(01:07):
know TV so much better than I do? But it
looks as if Disney gives out these awards each year
and it's sort of like a Preston. They give them
out to legends of Disney. Kelly Ripper's clearly a legend
of Disney because she's been on the Disney ABC show
Live for what over a decade. I mean, it's her
show at this point, but let's not forget when she
(01:28):
started that show, it was Regis and Kathie Lee. Well,
she thanked her husband, she thanked the co chair of Disney.
That's very smart. She also thanked Disney's CEO, Bob Iger,
very smart. Always thanks the boss. And then she thanked
Ryan Seacrest. Now Ryan introduced her. That was her choice.
She's still very close with Ryan. But noticeably missing from
(01:53):
the thank you was Regis and their longtime producer Michael Gellman.
He's still on the show. Now we know that their
relationship was strained. Kelly has spoken about it. Regis said
that when he retired he never heard from Kelly ever
again and was never invited back on the show as
a guest. Kathy Lee was really angry about this because
(02:15):
she's very loyal to Regi's I think this is a
bad look for Kelly. Now. I do like the honesty.
We've all worked with people. We don't like that we
have to pretend to like I get it, but you
can still find something nice to say thank you for
the opportunity, or I would be silly if I didn't
(02:35):
tip my hat to Regi's who I started with. That's
all she had to say. But no, didn't mention his name.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Not a good move.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
So, first of all, she was at D twenty three,
which is like the ultimate Disney fan event happening in Anaheim,
and they kind of tell you what's happening in the
upcoming year and all the projects they're working on. So
she received this Legends award. Didn't think Regis and I
don't even know if she had a tip can per se.
She could have just said I started on the show
(03:03):
with Regi's moment and I've moved then, and so that way,
she's not saying thank you for kind of co signing
him on, but at least just recognizing his name as
someone who started the platform. And I don't think there's
an at this point what would be the bad blood
because he's no longer with us, right, So all you're
doing is stating fact whether you liked him or not.
(03:24):
She's spoken about that she had good and bad days
with Regis, so we know that's there, but just establishing
this is the person who started the show where I've
been for so long would have been a good move.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Absolutely, I've worked with some real stinkers who were really
responsible for my career there, let me just say it.
In fact, some of the people that gave me the
best opportunities were really awful people. Mistery and the people
that I really liked actually didn't help me that much.
And I think that's so interesting. We can have people
in your life that are not good people but still
(03:58):
do good things for you. And I'm not saying rich
Regis is a bad person. In fact, in all the
years I've been doing this mystery, and I've been to
that show over one hundred times with celebrities backstage, Regis
has always been charming. The Regis that I saw was
always charming. I am quite close with Kathie Lee, or
I used to be when she was here in New York.
She talked glowingly of Regius, absolutely glowing. I've even had
(04:22):
dinner with Regis and he was a really nice guy.
Kelly can be prickly, Rosie o'donald said this, Remember when
Rosie and Kelly fell out, and I think it was
over klay Aiken and Rosie accused Kelly have been a
little homophobic. Well, they met up months months later in
a Madonna concert. They're huge fans of Madonna. Rosy's friends
with Madonna, and Rosie went up to Kelly and said hello,
(04:43):
and Rosie said Kelly was having none of it. She
holds a grutch. So whatever happened with Regis, she's talked
about in her book. I don't think she's really revealed everything.
But they just didn't get on. That's enough. I don't
need to know anymore. Some people you just don't get
along with. But when you're give than a legend award,
that's about your career, your legendary career. You're not a legend.
(05:06):
It's the legendary Chorea. And if Kelly had never been
hired on that show, she wouldn't be getting this award.
And the reason she was hired, One of the main
reasons she was hired is that Regis liked her. Regis
had so much power at that show he got to pick.
It wasn't going to necessarily be Kelly. Do you know
who she was up against. I was going to the
show as a publicist at the time, and I was
(05:27):
going to the show three times a week, twice a
week with my client, and it got down to her
and Kelly Ripper. Guess who it was.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I know it's probably not Jennifer Lopez, but.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Who it was Lisa Renna and she, I know, desperately
wanted to do. She was going to move to New York.
She was going to move her family. Harry Hamlin. Lisa
was this close to being Kelly Ripper.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
And if you remember back in the day, she was
working on a daytime talk show, and so she really
wanted to be in that position. Oh just just reminded
my brain of that situation. Yeah, so it could be
in a very different life for Lisa Runna. She would
not be on a reality show. She would have been
on a daytime talk show making that money.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
That makes the money. So it is interesting here. But
why I know, naughty is is what do you think
about this? Which brings us our whole question of the day.
Kelly Ripper did not thank Regis. I said she forgot
to thank him, but I don't think that's true. She
didn't thank him, she didn't want to thank him. While
receiving the Disney Legend Award. Should she have thanked him?
(06:34):
Should she have mentioned him? Hey, go vote on our
Twitter page I had naughty nice rob or a Facebook page
which is naughty your zib and be sure to check
back tomorrow to hear your results. I can't wait to
see the vote of that one. Hey, mistive, what are
you working on?
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Well? Aisha Curry, who's married to Steph Curry. He's a
basketball player. One goal for Team USA in the basketball tournament.
But unfortunately, by the end of the victory, the gold
medal victory, she was in tears because she was fighting
them back during a tense confrontation with Paris police. So
now there's a video out that shows Ayesha visibly distressed,
(07:13):
wiping tears from her eyes as her mother in law,
Sonya Curry, engaged in a heated discussion with officers on
the streets of Paris. The confrontation occurred as the family
attempted to return to their vehicle after celebrating the team's win. Now,
the exact details aren't one hundred percent clear, but the
footage reveals Sonya raising her voice and accusing someone of
(07:36):
touching the baby amids the chaos. Now you should just
had her fourth child earlier this year. Now, a bystander
who attempted to mediate and translate for the police, offered
an apology on behalf of the officer, saying, excuse HIMOI,
sorry about the baby. However, despite the apology, the Curry
family remained unable to cross the street to get to
(07:56):
their vehicle. Now there is a potential reason and why
they weren't able to so. Reportedly, French President Emmanuel Macron
was departing from the area at the same time. So
as we know, as it happens here in the United States,
when you have the president, a lot of things are
blocked off and you can't get through. So that's what
was happening here. But still a new mom, I'm sure
(08:19):
your hormones and your emotions are already heightened. So this
must have been really tough for the Curry family. What
do you think, rom.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
I actually have a source who was there and witnessed this,
and they said the whole area was on lockdown because
of the president, and that happens. Celebrities don't like this,
but president's top celebrity. We've seen that mysty We've been
to events where there's been members of the White House.
People from the White House there, they always top George
Clooney or Julia Roberts. They're superstars. I remember us walking
(08:48):
down the West Side Highway and they shut down the
highway so that President Biden could drive up it. And
I had a little bit of an attitude because I
had to wait for like ten minutes. It wasn't ten hours,
it was ten minutes. I was like, I need to
get home. I've got things to do. I've got to
do a zoom call. And the police were like rob shoulder,
it's the president, like check yourself, and so part of
me here is I get it. These people are used
(09:11):
to getting what they want. They are vvps. They just
want the gold. They wanted to get into their limo.
They wanted to celebrate. They're lucky enough to have a driver.
Me and you would be looking for the metro, Misty
would be getting the subway home, so we would be
looking for our driver. And I think she had to
wait about ten minutes or so, not much longer, and
then she was in the car. The part of it
(09:32):
that's concerning is she did have a baby with her.
Nobody should ever touch anybody's baby. Nobody should ever touch you.
I think the crowds were a little much too. But
I got to admit, if I was going to the Olympics, Misty,
I would consider that there's going to be a lot
of people here. Is it the place to take a baby,
a new born baby that's strapped to my tummy. It's
(09:52):
like going to a Tailor Swift concert. You're going to
get pushed. They're lovely people, They're nobody's being mean at
a Tailor Swift concert. But eighty thousand people getting in
and out of a venue, you're gonna get a little
bit swamped. I felt this. I saw Billy Joel at
the Garden this day and it was about twenty thousand people,
and when the show ended, I had a little bit
of anxiety. There's so many people trying to get out
(10:13):
of this building. I sat back down for ten minutes,
let it clear, and then walked out like a regular person.
It was great. So I think, here, I understand it,
but I think here, it looks a little it's not
a good look, like, calm down, it's the president.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
And I'm also thinking, since your husband is getting the
gold medal, maybe you're in a VIP section. You get
a little bit longer, kind of waited for the crowds
to come out. You're probably in a room, there's snacks,
there's food. I'm sure there was space if she needed
to breastfeed, so maybe that would have been the smarter thing.
But again, you also do have a baby, so maybe
(10:48):
there are things back at the hotel. Then you need
to take care of your child. The child is super young,
just a couple months old, a few months, and so
I can understand why she would need to have the
child with her because it's in those early stages. It
needs needs mommy, milk and all that. And of course
you don't want to miss this moment in your husband's life.
(11:09):
But again, that's hard to weigh. I think it would
have been best it said, look, the crowds are coming out,
let's wait an hour. We're gonna just sit here, let
everything pass, and then we'll make our way out, and
then there would have been no issue. But it's very funny.
I'll tell you a quick funny story. I was in
France with my mom trying to return a car, and
we were speaking to someone who worked there and they
(11:31):
were speaking French, and my mom was like, try to
stay in French, return the car, return the car, and
he said deece minute deec minute, meaning ten minutes. And
my mom turned and looked at him in perfect English,
said I don't have ten minutes. He turned back and
he said, miss, follow me this way.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
It's a moment. I sometimes have to check myself because
I'm very impatient. Yes, and if I'd beat at these games,
I would have said, there's nothing bad here.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
You're sitting in a VIP seat at the Olympic Games.
That is so fabulous. The president of France is here
and your husband just won a gold medal and I'm
upset that I can't get in my car.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
It's not your moment, Okay, moving along. This drives to
be mad. So Teresa Judici from The Real Housewives is
standing by her husband after he made some really disgusting remarks.
He said that he wanted Margaret Joseph's son to suffer,
and they played this to the cast during the reunion
where things are so awful that they CAN'TI was sit
in the same room, So this tells you who these
(12:35):
people are. They're doing the reunion from different rooms because
of the tension amongst the cast. Do we need to
know anymore. They showed the cast this clip saying he
wish Margaretson suffered, and everybody was completely shocked right away
until they got to Teresa, who said, I don't care.
She wasn't bothered. I don't care. Now her husband has apologized,
(12:56):
and Teresa yet won't. There's some people out there, Misty,
who will never ever admit they were wrong, who will
never ever say sorry, and they think that gives them power.
I think it makes them pathetic.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
I'm not exactly sure what her game plan here is.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
I mean, maybe she wants to be known as the villain, because,
as we know, on a reality show, you remember two people,
the ingenou kind of the girl of gold and the villain.
So maybe she's saying, I can't be the ingenue because
of the things I've said, so I will dig deep
into the villain because family. When this all goes away,
and at some point it will, all you're going to
(13:36):
have left is family, and those things that you said
because you were on a reality show becomes a part
of your reality, and that's what she's going to have
to deal with. You know, Look, no family is perfect.
We had the most epic Christmas family fight of all time.
But we had to sit down and say I'm sorry
and talk about it and see what the.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Deeper problems were.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
And they don't need to solve their problems on TV
and needs to be done behind closed doors to figure
out what the true problem is. I know she's upset,
or brother came to the show and you know he's
trying to get his coin, but you got to figure out, like,
how can we make this work so we're not killing
our family by being reality stars?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, that's it. That's that's their priority, mystery, that's all
they want to be, and they might end up losing
that because of this, Like I think the public's turned
okay quickly before we get a break. Mistake. Kit Harrington,
who I had such a crush on in Game of Thrones,
is opening up about some of his very dark days.
What does he have to say, Well.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Basically, he was drinking quite a bit and he the
dark times he faced before getting sober was just self loathing.
So he said, before getting sober, I would stare in
the move in the mirror and call myself a c
dash tea. I would hate myself. I would literally despise
myself and not be proud of anything I've done. It
was severe enough that he once believed that he could
(14:57):
not physically and emotionally stop drinking. He would not be
able to quit. But now he counts his sobriety as
one of his greatest achievements and a testament to how
far he's come. He went to rehab in twenty nineteen,
right before the finale of Game of Thrones. He's been sober.
He wanted to be a good dad, and that was
(15:18):
part of his motivation. So that's a wonderful thing.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Congratulations. Hey, we're going to take a quick break here
and we will be right back. Welcome back to the
Naughty Nishow' your Hostom Shooter with our dear friend mister. Hey, mister,
let's get to the pills. A last show. It's such
a cheeky question. Last show we took about Tom Cruise,
who really stole the closing of the Olympics by jumping
up the stadium that amazing stunt. I question was what
(15:44):
did you like better, the opening or the clothes? Did
you like Tom or Celene better? Let's have a look.
Seventy nine percent said Selene. I'm with you. You can't
beat Celine Dion singing an e is the pee of
song in French in a d your dress on the
side of the Eiffel Tower. Hats off. Okay, don't forget
(16:06):
to vote on today's poul. Go to our Twitter page
at Naughty Nice rob. Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip
and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
Now it's time for our nicest of the dull.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Our nicest of the day is Prince William because he's
sporting a new look. So Prince William and Kate Middleton
made a surprise appearance in an Instagram reel on Sunday
congratulating Team Great Britain on their performance at the twenty
twenty four Paras Olympics.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Fabulous.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
But while the video featured some big.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Names, it was it was Prince William's facial hair that
stole the show. So now, usually he's clean shaven, but
he was sporting a new beard and he caused quite
the stir among royal watchers. Somebody said, I had to
watch again just to see what I'm stubble wilder.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
And I wait to be old to be writing that.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I mean, it always gives you a little bit of
like you know, distinguished gentleman character when you have just
the right amount of stubble.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
He had just the right amount.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
I can't do it, mister, I look ridiculous. I try to.
It's all patchy. It doesn't really grow in all over.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I'll try it.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Maybe I'll try it. Okay, let's do I noticed the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Oh,
this new report's making me really sad. Meghan Michael screamed
at producers at CBS Sunday Morning for asking an unexpected question.
So Meghan thought she was on there to promote a
really good cause at a parent an online bullying campaign
that is very important to her and it's very important
to all of us. I absolutely admire her for this. However,
(17:47):
Jane Paul It did bring up her past suie side
or thoughts, which Meghan told Oprah about. Nobody nobody revealed this.
Meghan revealed this, so it's a fair question. According to
the royal biographer Angela Levin, Meghan was fious that this
(18:07):
was brought up because she likes to control her interviews,
don't we all, Meghan? This is always going to be
brought up in the same way the royal family is
going to always be brought up. It's interesting working with
celebrities mystery. I always sort of cringe a little bit
when they say you can't mention the following. It's like
if Kim Ktrell said you can't talk about sex and
the city. As like Kim, they've got to the reason
(18:30):
you'll hear is because you're not on sex and the
city or were on sex and the city before, and
so like, you got to lean into this stuff and
have an answer. Meghan, you're going to be asked this,
so have an answer. I noticed the day and never
ever scream at producers. Let's end with a moment of
ra if. I put a speaker to your head today, Misty,
(18:52):
and it broadcast everything you were saying to yourself. Would
you be proud or would you be embarrass Think about
that today, when those nasty little voices in your head
start saying stuff to you. Potend you could plug yourself
into a speaker and the whole world could hear you.
(19:14):
Would you be proud or would you be embarrassed?
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (19:19):
That is it for today. Thank you so much for
listening to the Not Even Nice with Robin mss D show,
a production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast wherever you listen. Leive us a
review if you can. They really do help. They help
with the algorithm, so please do that and remember all
together now if.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
You're going to be no you, I mean.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Stay care everybody. It's not even nice with Ra
