Speaker 1 (00:11):
It's hell a level.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Welcome to the Naughty but Nice I'm your host, Shooter,
and it is Thursday, which means our dear friend Mark
Lupo joins us, Hey, Lubi, are you there? Lupy Blue
is here. I don't think I've told you the big news,
so I'll tell it you on air while we record.
Elvis and iHeart have asked if maybe once a week
we do a little bit of video too, so I'll
(00:35):
have to put on a nicer T shirt. You always
look lovely in the morning's mark, and the lights are
good in your apartment, so I don't think you have
much to worry about with that face. Monster.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
I might have got a bed earlier.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
But you're gonna look at even nicer. So we might
be doing some video. So everybody's been warned naughty. I
know I've been talking about this now. Garrett mentioned it
on Monday. I didn't think he would. But is it's
going to be soon? I don't oh how soon. Maybe
once I get a haircut soon sort of round about,
then it might help I roll out of bed. Like
(01:10):
I roll out of bed. We've have a cup of tea,
I wash my face, I clean my teeth, and then
I sit down and I thoroughly enjoy talking with the naughties. Okay,
let's jump into the show how time is it? My
Friends and his tea Time big story at the top
of the show. So Megan Mokel is clapping back at
her critics, saying I need to work. So Meghan's done
apologizing and now she's about making the money. The Duchess
(01:33):
of Sussex is facing her haters head on, Mark as
she launches her new products that they've already sold out.
You could get some mixed, some jam mix for about
fourteen dollars. Some flower sprinkles, I'm not sure what they
are for fifteen dollars. All of this stuff is really
selling very well. So she did a big interview with
The New York Times and she said, I need to work,
(01:56):
and my life has not always been like this. It
was really interesting, Mark. She the New York Times was
pretty aggressive and they asked her about being unrelatable and
out of touch, and she reminded everybody that she started
working when she was just thirteen years old. Mark, and
she didn't exactly just roll into Buckingham Palace or into
(02:17):
her current fourteen million dollar compound. She said she likes
to work. She has to work. She's not a trust
fund baby. She was not given money by her parents.
Meghan is a self made millionaire before she even met Harry.
She made her own money. Now marrying a prince changed everything.
(02:37):
But I do think it's important to remember this. We
get annoyed with Meghan when she sells her stuff, when
she seems too ambitious, when she seems too pushy. But
if she doesn't do this, they've got to figure out
another way to make money. Yeah, they do.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
And I think it's true. You know, Meghan, her father
was a lading guy or a sound guy on her
TV shows, you know, when she was younger. But that
doesn't mean that they were wealthy, Like that's an average salary.
And it's true she is a self made millionaire. She
was on suits and I had other projects going on.
But I think, Robert, it kind of reminds me like
me and you like, even if we had all the
money in the world, we would still want to work.
(03:13):
We still want to do this podcast. And so I
don't give her a you know, knox for wanting to
do this and to have a living. But it's true
they live a very expensive lifestyle and someone has to
pay for it.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
It's expensive, isn't it. When you look at these celebrities
and you think how rich they are, often they're not
because they live too large. Yeah, they live so big.
Reality stars to make this mistake because it doesn't ever last.
They think that they're earning good money and it's going
to last for twenty thirty years, and it never does.
And they buy all this stuff and they get themselves
in a ton of trouble. So I actually really enjoyed
(03:44):
this interview. I thought it was great that Megan did it.
She's aware of what we're saying. She's aware of what's
out there. She reads comments, she's on the blog. She
pretends she's not, but she is. She sees all this stuff,
and she did have a life before Harry, and so
she knows what it's like to hustle. She was always
a hustler. You met her mark when she came into
hustle for a job at the Wendy Williams Show, which
(04:05):
I thought it was fantastic. I wanted to be on
the Wendy Williams Show, so I hustled. I called Rob
Dabba like you call people you used to be the
executive producer of the show you call People you Hustle.
I think when women do it, we don't like it.
When men do it, we sort of think it's okay.
It's true.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
And when she came to interview with us, essentially, she
was so lovely and she was direct, and she knew
what she wanted and we appreciated that. We really liked her,
and she came off as likable and relatable at that
time because she wasn't, you know, married to a prince.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
But however, you.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Know, it showed how much that she, you know, would
fight for herself. And that's why I'm not surprised that
she's ended up on the light that she has now right,
it was always the case, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, I can see it when people want to work
with me and I'm the Prince Harry or a member
of the royal family. But I like ambition. I like
people that text me, that email me that' say have
you got a job open? Or send me their resd
or I read this story rather and I thought this
was really interesting. But I know this fact and I
sort of enjoy it. And I think now with cell
phones and texts, it's so much easier to communicate twenty
(05:11):
years ago, fifteen years ago. If you called me all
the time, it probably bugged me. But I can get
ten texts now, and I'm quite happy to say yes
or no. I might not text you back the answer
you want, but I'm really I'm really open to it. Mark.
It's not a bother to me. But I'm quite curious,
very curious. I like interaction. I like being nosy. I
like talking, I like texting. You're more private, Mark, but
(05:34):
you know how to hustle, like you're successful at what
you do. Oh yeah, I mean you know.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
I might not be sharing everything online, but I very
much am in communication with people that can help. And
I take carls and texting emails, and I also call
people and ask for favors. You've helped me get a
job in the past, and I'll help you when I
can put you on TV.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
It's you know, it's a friendship, and you want to
support people.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I want to support people. And that's why I don't
understand how Meghan has gone into this position. How did
it get so bad? It started so well, a billion
people watching this wedding, and over what four or five
years it's got to a place where she has to
defend herself to the New York Times because she wants
to sell some jam. Let us sell her jam. See
(06:14):
what like the people? There's some really big people in
show business. We know them, Blake Lively, we know that
we know these people. It's not that she's upset a
lot of people. And I'm not quite sure I totally
understand why. Let us sell her jam? The good news
(06:34):
here it's sold out. All this is funny. Mark. I
know a friend of hers, it really does know her,
like hangs out with her, and she gave them some
of her raspberry I think raspberry jam. They thought it
was okay. And now all the friends have this dilemma
because Megan's pushing, so she's texting, what did you think?
(06:55):
Did you like the jam? I want to improve it?
But what do you say when Fred asks you your opinion?
Do you tell the whole truth? Would you say? What
was a little bit too sweet? Megan? Oh, I didn't
really love it.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I mean, I'll say this. I did look at the
ingredients and several Crow products this morning. They were nothing special.
They were actually kind of ingredients you'd find in the
grocery I'm surprised by this means.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But it does come with a lovely little package. It does.
I would like, I'm going to get one of these jams,
and I'm not going to let anybody eat it, but
I am gonna put it in my refrigerator. So every
time I open it, I see a little bit of royal,
a little duchess waving at me.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
And you're going to be casual about it.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
You won't like very casual. I'll be like, well, you'll
be in the kitchen, Mark, and I say, would like
some milk with your coffee? Mark, And I'll open the
fridge very casually, and There'll be a whole row of
duchess jab which brings us to our whole question. After day,
Megan's clapping back at her critics, saying I need to
work to live this life. She lives a big life
of fourteen million dollar has. She has a rich husband,
(07:59):
but he does not have booking compat this money anymore.
She said, I'd need to work. What do you think?
Have we been too harsh on becon yes or no?
Go votes on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob.
Our facebook page is Naughtyosip and be sure to check
back to Marau to hear your results. Hey, lupy Lou,
what are you working on?
Speaker 1 (08:20):
You're gonna love this story. Lake Lovely is being slammed
as a hypocrite after she improvised grabbing a co stars crotch. Well, well, okay,
So the actress who is currently suing director Justin Baldoni
over at alleged unscripted intimacy during filming, is now under
fire after a behind the scenes clip has resurfaced. The
(08:41):
scene in question a steamy moment in twenty eighteen It's
a simple Favor where Lively character grabs Henry Golding's crash
in a moment that fans long assumed was scripted.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Surprise, surprise, it was not scripted, and Lively proudly revealed
she improvised the growing grab, saying it was something she
felt her character would do naturally, and director of the
film even encourage her to go further, reportedly.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Asking her to squeeze harder. Rob What do you think
about this.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Oh Mark, it's just getting worse and worse for Blake.
I think personally, and I don't want to make anybody
uncomfortable here, but actors should talk about all this stuff
before we shoot a scene. More particularly if it's a
sexual scene, I think we should sort of say I
think that's a good idea, or that's realistic, that doesn't
(09:31):
make me feel comfortable. But to grab someone's crutch and
squeeze it and it's not in the script, and to
not warn them, you could say that sexual harassment. In fact,
Blake has said that is sexual harassment when somebody touches
her on a set without permission. I think where we
can get crazy here is there's film in a movie
(09:52):
and there's real life, and they're both are very different things.
If you walk into a bar and walk up to
somebody and grab their crutch, be arrested. If you're on
a movie set filming a love scene, Mark, I think
then we have to be a little bit more careful
about how we talk about it. We have to put
it into that context. Justin did not grab Blake in
(10:15):
a bar and a nightclub, in the hotel room. This
was not a Harvey Weinstein situation. He was filming a
movie where he played the love interest, in fact, an
abusive love interest. And so I think there is a
nuance there that we all have to be really aware of.
Because I've seen TV reports where Justin grabbed her, and
they don't add on a movie set, and there is
(10:36):
a difference. Now some people would say in a workplace,
it's even worse if you get grabbed in your office.
And although on a movie set is a workplace, it's
a very specific workplace. If you know actors, we do, Mark,
this is part of the job. I don't think I
could be an actor, Mark. I can't act and be
I don't think i'd want to kiss somebody that wasn't Bruce,
or I wouldn't be able to do love scenes like
(10:57):
it just doesn't I just would feel really weird, like
that kiss you Mark on a set. I'd be like,
I don't know if this feels really right. I mean,
that's that's why I wouldn't be an actor. Blake's an
actor here. What Blake has done though, this lawsuit against Justin,
against the film company, has now opened her up for
her whole history to be examined. And we all have skeletons,
(11:21):
We all have things that we wish we hadn't done,
and we probably would do different today. We all have
them in that classt They're all going to come out.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
They are you know, as someone who I've taken improv before.
I was in several improv shows and I've acted, and
that's listen, Improvising is hard and you have to kind
of think and act on the fly. However, I'd never
grabbed anyone in improv scene. It's like there is those
natural boundaries in your mind, you know, like that is
not okay, that's not appropriate. You can't grab someone even
(11:49):
the heat of the moment. You're on a movie set.
You don't grab someone's crotch and squeeze. So you just
don't do that. And I think there is something about
her that she had this power. She felt as though
she could just act as however she once and it's
just not the reality of life. And I bet she
really does regret ever restroying this last tuo because now,
like you said, everything is fair game, her whole everything.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Everything is fair game. Okay, moving along, we told you
first Saturday Night Live feels a little bit used. So
Morgan Walland's controversial walk off, We've been talking about it
since Saturday was a PR stunt to sell merchandise. So
just days after he walked off the set. Remember at
the end of the show, the cat they all hug
and they say goodbye, and there's a stage manager on
(12:31):
the show. There's a stage manager standing by the cameras
that tells people to just stay put. They have their hand.
If I've been to s and I've been to rehearsals,
I've been behind the scenes. I've been to live shows,
there's a stage manager there making it very clear just
hold it. The cameras are still rolling, and then when
the cameras stop rolling, it's very clear the show's over.
It's not an accident. This is not something that's just
like on the fly. No, this is organized. So we
(12:54):
knew the cameras were on when he walked off, So
I didn't buy it for one minute. And now we
think days he's already selling merchandise with Get Me to
God's Country on it. So that's what he said when
he left. It's all a stunt. His album's coming out.
He knew this would excite his bass. SNL is considered
a liberal show in liberal New York with all those lefties,
(13:18):
and so I think he really managed to use SNL
to really get his base, really really excited, and I'm
sure the album will be a huge hit. I love
a pr stunt. But I only like it when it's
mutually beneficial. I would have asked, can I do this?
Do you mind? And the fact that the merchandise came
out just so quick Mark baseball camps, T shirts, key chains,
(13:43):
they're selling like hotcakes. This was a bit shady.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Mark it is and I will Incidentally, I was in
the audience of SNL the first time he appeared on
the show, so you know, I was a witness to
his you know, experience. I can tell you you know
for a fact that he knows how this goes, and
you know that he knows what is doing. You know,
is it worth it? And my thing is like the
bigger picture of your career and you know, promotional opportunities
(14:08):
in the future. Do you really want to burn SNL?
It's a great place to some sell stuff, but like
for this, for T shirts, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
That although if you sell five million dollars of T shirts,
I might walk right out of Doris's house if the
cameras are rolling. If I could sell I'm leaving Doris
T shirts. Maybe that's okay. Quickly, before we get a
bright mob, what is Gizelle up to? Big news?
Speaker 1 (14:31):
So Gizelle Bunschin has made her glamorous return to the
fashion world, fronting the new Marc O Polo spring campaign,
just weeks after welcoming her third child with her boyfriend Joaquim,
But sources behind the glowing beach shot in equal friendly
style is a very real financial imbalance, one that's left
Gizelle's shouldering.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Most of the lude.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Joaqum does well in the fitness world, the sources told,
you know, not but nice, but he simply can't afford
to live like Giselle and the kids not even close.
This is the private planes, is the shet.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Yeah, you gotta earn that money, girl, Like, if you
want to live like Giselle, you've gotta make Giselle money.
And so like it's really tricky, isn't it. I when
you have a partner that has just that much more
money Mark, not just a little bit, like but just
that Brewster's better than I do. But he's not Gizelle,
Like he does really well, but it's I didn't marry stink,
Like can you imagine? I think Gizelle is the highest
(15:27):
Paige supermodel in the world. And he has his yoga
instructing studio and he does great. He does great. I
love eems money, but he doesn't make Giselle. But if
they want the private yachts and the private plays Giselle,
you better get back to work. She looks fabulous. I
like that they're making it, making it literally work. Okay,
(15:48):
We're going to take a quick break to pay our
bills and we will be right back. Welcome back to
the naughty, n ICEHAMI hostrom shoot with my dear friend
Mark Glupo. Hey, Lupi, let's get to the polls that hour.
So a judge ruled that a real housewife, Liam mcsweey,
can move forward with her lawsuit against the Bravo Our
question was very naughty and very unrealistic, but it made
(16:09):
me giggle. Should Bravo televise the trial? What watch I
would watch? I love a trial. We haven't had a
good trial since Johnny Depp. We haven't, we haven't who
I'd love to watch this Andy on the witness stand,
all those housewives, the fashion alone, what these ladies will
wear when they are sitting there testify? And what do
(16:30):
you think else? Should should Bravo televise the trial? Ninety
five percent said yes, absolutely must, This would be the
best thing that's happened to Bravo since Queer Eye. Okay,
don't forget to vote on our Twitter poll at Naughty
Nice Rob or our Facebook page which is not a gossip,
and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
And now, oh it's time for our noisiest of the day.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Ah, it's Megan mark Rob.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
We're having a good day for Meccan.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Sure, so Megan Marcle it's for a really funny reason too.
Megan Markele's sources tell Naughty but Nice that the Duchess
of Sussex has one unshakeable rule for anyone who enters
your house and that's it what no photos allowed?
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Oh? I like it? Mm hm.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
So this is not just reporter sources to say. It's
the same for friends, family, former co stars, even royalty.
The phone is staying in your bag.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
What do you think? I think that's really nice. I
get a little I'm know, Megan Markle, but I don't
like it when people come into my house and take pictures,
like if you we're in a bar and you take
yourself a A couple of nights ago, I was having
drinks with a friend, a friend who works at Access Hollywood,
and that I met somebody else just by chance in
the bar and he's taking all these selfies and then
he started to video us, and I was like, really,
put the camera down. It's just felt really weird. Had
(17:44):
that been my house, it would have really freaked me out.
So I totally get this. It's your house, it's your rules.
I believe that if you want me to take my
shoes off at your house, that's your house. I'll do
what you want. If you want me to put my
phone away, it's your house. What do you think, Mark,
I'm quite stract, like a I don't allow very many
people in my apartment. I've been here a really long
time and probably like a handful of friends I've ever
(18:05):
been in my apartment. New York's different from the rest
of the country. We meet at bars, we meet at rest,
I meet you outside the theater. I don't say come
over like it just very rarely happens. Are you quite
strict about your apartment?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Mark, I don't like shoes in my apartment, but I mean,
you know, I used to have a lot of parties
here in fun things, but you do. But now it's true,
when you get older, it's like old meet out for dinner,
but don't more around.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Wait for dinner and then I can leave. You'll go
home and close my door. You're annoying, but yes, that's
New York and naughty is the day, naughty, naughty. This
is just heartbreaking. So Tom Cruise is inconsolable after the
death of el kill Ma. So lots of celebrities have
put out statements as of now as at this moment,
it might change the day. Thomas not. And I'm told
you feel like it feels like you lost a brother.
(18:49):
Tom was really really invested. If you remember when they
did the reboot in twenty twenty two Top Co Maverick,
there was a really beautiful scene with the two of them,
and Tom really hard to make that scene just as
beautiful as it was. He is absolutely devastated. People grieve
in different ways, and so if you're expecting a statement
(19:09):
right away and you don't get one, that does not
mean he does not love him. It means it's tanna
to take him a minute and say, let's give Tom
and everybody all the grace all the time that they need.
Just heartbreaking, just heartbreaking. Okay, let's end with a moment
of rob you get a rub room. You can't control
your feelings, but you can control what you do. Let
(19:31):
me explain. You might feel anxious, tired, and motivated or
even overwhelmed, and that's okay. Feelings aren't always in your control,
but here's what is your response. You can feel fear, Mark,
and you can still take a leap. You can feel
doubt and you can still show up. You can feel
(19:52):
heavy and you can still move forward. Your emotions are valid,
but they don't get to run the show unless you
let them. Action is always a choice, Mark, and every
time you choose action over feelings over excuses, you build
strength and that is how you move forward. Once again,
(20:15):
you can't control your feelings, but you can control what
you do about them. I've really learned this, Mark. I
can feel frustrated and angry, but I don't need to
lash out. I can have a quiet moment. I can't
control how I feel right away, but I can control
what I do. Hey, that is it for today. Thank
you so much for listening to the Naughty Bit Nice
(20:36):
with Rob and Mark show or a production of iHeartRadio.
Don't forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts

They really do help. And remember altogether now, if you're
