Speaker 1 (00:13):
Welcome to the Naughty but My Show. I'm your host,
Rob Shooter, and it's Friday, which means our dear friend
Corey Andrew joins us.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hey, Corey, are you there? I am here. Happy Friday everyone.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
I see you in your bow tie? Are you doing
TV today?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
You look so daper what kind of sort of I
did some TV stuff and I have to reshoot a
couple of intros because you know, I want to have
a bit more precise for the public.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
But yeah, see your perfectionist, perfectionist, I like it. I've
become a little loosey goosey since I've been doing TikTok.
I joined TikTok, and in the beginning I was such
a control freak. I was so so detailed. Now I
just pull out my phone and talk.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Well on TikTok, it's much more of a nice, real,
sort of like unfiltered place. That's what they want. They
don't want the polish stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
They don't want the polish. I blame the housewives for this,
I really do. I used to like lights and cameras
and makeup and hair, and now you want me picking
my nose and throwing a vodka table like Yeah, they
literally do. I'll give you whatever you want more to
He's okay, let's jump into ashro What time is it,
my friends? It is tea time. Big story at the
Taba Show, A really sweet story to end the week
with Meghan Markle is saying that she's in the happiest

(01:17):
place she's ever been. So. Meghan was in New York
for Time Magazines one hundred summit here in New York City,
and she took to the stage and she said, quote,
I never imagined at this point I would feel so
happy and grateful to have a husband and a partner,
so supportive, and kids who are healthy and happy. That's
the main thing. I really do feel blessed. A couple

(01:39):
of things here, she said, I never imagined at this point.
Very interesting phrase there. I think what she's saying is
that after everything she's been through at this point she
did not realize she would be this happy. She does
have the perfect partner for her. She really loves Harry,
she calls him h h loves her. They have these
two beautiful kids. I think anybody with children knows that

(02:02):
happy and healthy is that it is the number one
priority and the number two priority for your kids and
she lives in a fabulous home in Montecito. It's a
really good life. So I think it's easy with Meghan
to get wrapped up in all the drama, in all
the hate on the internet. And we've got a little
bit of that in a moment in the story. But
I'm saving that to just emphasize the positive stuff. I

(02:24):
love this. I love that she said out loud, I'm
the happiest I've ever been. I'm not sure we say
that enough.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, no, I agree with you. And you know, often
I say we don't celebrate our wins enough, and we
often just are looking for that next big thing, what's next.
And she's having this moment where she's like reflecting, and
she's like, you know what, I've done pretty well? Not
she snagged a prince from family a regular date, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
He hit the jackpot two with her though. She's exactly
what he wanted. He wanted to get out of that family,
and he figured out away and a person to do
it with. I like that thing you just said, Corey,
we should celebrate our wins. I'm actually shockingly good at
this because I have no business doing this. I'm a
real working class kid from Birmingham, England. It's an industrial town.
I say, it's Chicago, It's Detroit, it's down on its luck.

(03:17):
And for the fact that I'm sitting here making my
living podcasting and writing, it's an absolute miracle. Children kids
with my background, people I went to school with, for
not doing this, This was not a given. And I think,
like Megan, it was Bruce that really, my husband, Bruce
that led me to this extraordinary happiness that I feel

(03:40):
at this point. Pick your partners carefully, pick somebody who's
gonna make your life even even better. I love saying this,
I can say out loud. I think I'm the happiest
I've ever been right now. I've had some extraordinary opportunities,
whether it's working with j Lo or having my own
tea V show. I have had someone being an editor

(04:02):
of a magazine, traveling around the world with bon Jovi.
This is the happiest I've ever been, Corey, I really
love life right now. What about you?

Speaker 2 (04:11):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
For me?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I say that I had to reflect recently and realize
that I'm here with my mom this week right For example,
when I'm helping her remodel her bathroom and I was like,
I was like swearing at how much work it isn't it?
And then I stopped and I said, but I'm very
lucky my mom is still here, and I know many
people don't have that. And I stopped and I said,
you know, it's a blessing that I'm here to help

(04:33):
remodel her bathroom. So I have to think about it reflect. Yeah,
it's a good thing.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I think mindset is so important. Now. A little bit
of a negative part here is there's a new poll
out in Britain where Meghan has really dropped down the pole.
Over a thousand people are ahead of her. Her popularity
is really small, it's only about seventeen percent. Although I
spoke to my Megan sources and they said she does
not care about a popularity contest in Britain. Yeah, that

(04:58):
isn't what makes her happy, building her family, her business,
That's what really matters to her. This is a popularity
competition in a country that she never really enjoyed and
never really gave her what she wanted, Like she wanted
to change the royal family and that clearly wasn't going
to happen. It was a mistake from day one, and

(05:19):
so walk away from it. If people don't like you,
you don't like them, walk away. If you don't like me,
I don't like you. That's my rule. I'm not going
to try and beg to get supported to be popular
with the kids that just don't like me.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, and also, let's not forget like you just kind
of alluded to there. She literally was not really a
favorite ed. I mean, you know, she's had her problems
with the British press and British citizens quite honestly, many
who were not happy that Harry chose her as a
bride for whatever reason. So she's always kind of struggled
with that demographic. So she's like, you know what, I

(05:51):
don't have to worry about that, and I'm not going
to lay I'm living my life. And good for her.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
That's right. You won't pay my bills. You won't pay
my bills like her. Good for Meghan. So lovely story
on Meghan being really, really happy, which brings us to
our pole question of the day. Meghan Markles says she's
the happiest she's ever been. That's a really great ever being.
Are you happy for her?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Now?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
That's a tough question because it's about us snaughties. Now,
I know that we're a nice punch. We are a
nice bunch on this podcast, I think I know the
results of this, But on other shows, I'm a little wary.
Although we do have a lot of British listeners our podcast, now, Cory,
we're a top ten entertainment podcast around the world. We're
in over sixty countries, so if you're listening to us

(06:34):
in a different language, I hope you can make some
sense of this ridiculous accent. I hope you can, but
I wouldn'der where the vote's going to be in Britain?
Are you happy for her even if you don't like
Meghan Mokel, I get it, I do get it. I
do like her, but I do get people that don't
like her. You still want someone to be happy.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
I do.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Even people that don't make me necessarily happy, I want
them to be happy. So yeah, wish them well, Oh
you're happy for her? Don't let me die. You imagine
if this pole is the opposite of what I expect.
Go vote on that trinter page I Naughty nys raw
by Facebook pages Nordy goes it and be sure to
check like a Monday. Here your results Hey, Corey Love,
what are you working on that?

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yes, well, this is like an inescapable headline lately, the
whole Outer Space thing with Katy Perry and Gail King
and that whole crew. And so Katy Perry is blasting
off on her new tour and she's mocking all the
space haters in her Mexico City show opener. So, of course,
the pop star she kicked off this big Lifetime's tour
and she's got this explosive show that's kind of like
a cosmic clap back at her critics in a way,

(07:36):
because she's in the show that has a very big
cosmic theme, and you know, she's making it very crystal
clear that she is fully embracing her new galactic era.
And she was dressed in like a futuristic silver metal
body suit and she's sort above the stage, and she
recreated her flight choreography in a dramatic fashion, and at
one point she floated mid air under a spotlight. It

(07:57):
was like a wink to her real life launching Space
later earlier this month, and she says, has anyone ever
called your dreams crazy? She asked a crowd, and they
went wild when she actually asked that because they all
obviously know what she's doing, what she's talking about, because
you cannot escape the story. But she knows people mocked her,
but she does not care. And that is what one

(08:18):
insider has shared with us. Let you know what she says.
Laugh all you want, but I am flying hot. So
you know, there was a lot of backlash because I
think people thought that this trip seemed a little disconnected
from what was happening right now, maybe in the political
landscape or whatever. But I feel like, you know, it's people.
It's just like the Megan story. This is an example

(08:39):
of other people ranting on someone's parade. Katie's very happy
and excited about this experience, and people in the public
are mocking it, making her feel bad about it, reducing
its reducing its value, if you will, And I think
it's really unfair. So she's allowing that not to happen.
She's not letting other people ruin her parade. So I

(09:01):
love that about the story. What do you think.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I love it. It's harder to do than it acts.
When you do something you really enjoy and people mock you,
that's the cruelest type of person out there. Taylor Swift said,
that anybody that takes away your joy just for a minute,
it's really really cruel. If you enjoy singing Madonna in
the shower, then sing her. Don't let what I think

(09:23):
change that. If you want to dance down the street
on your way to work, don't let people giggle and
get you stop your joy. I love seeing people find
their joy, and Katie Perry is full of joy. I
have friends who work on the show and they said
it's fantastic. They said, she's out there singing, dancing, The
sets are enormous, the costume changes, it's just the real

(09:45):
joy of show, and I think we need that right now.
Have some fun. Let yourself, give yourself permission to have fun. Yes,
I scheduling too my day. Every single day fun. I
write it on my calendar as if it's a meeting
that I have to go to. And I just have
a a little bit of fun every single day. Katy Perry,
you make me smile. Okay, this story is really blowing

(10:06):
up online. I broke it first. Lindsa vander Pump from
the Bravo Shows has a new show on Hulu. Nothing
to do with NBC or Bravo. This is Disney and
she's bringing back a disgraced star to help boost her ratings.
So Lisa's under fire for cozying up with a very
controversial ex Vander Pump Rules celebrity called Stassy Stroda, who

(10:27):
was fired from Brava in twenty twenty for her involvement
in a racial incident that rob the TV world at
the moment. Now, let's just be clear here, it's really
hard to get fired from Bravo. They let you go
to jail, they let you flip at the table, they
let you pull a wid you gotta do something bad here.
There was an internal investigation and Brava said we're out.

(10:48):
She can't work for us anymore. So a lot of
people think Stasy's return to Bravo. The brather folks are
absolutely not. This has nothing to do with us. This
is Lisa who got another show on a competing network
which a little shady in itself, and now she's bringing
back Stassy. So sources said, quote, it's desperate. This is
Lisa's attempt to get ratings. She's willing to stand next

(11:13):
to somebody who Bravo distanced themselves from. It's just not
a good look. Just to remind everybody, Stassy was asked
after reportedly calling the cops on the only black cast
mate for a crime she didn't commit.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, it was pretty bad. It was pretty bad. And
you know this also caused into question now, especially in
today's sort of landscape of allyship as we call it,
where people are asking people to be valued and be
honored and stand up for what they believe in. And
so when you align yourself with someone like this consciously,
what message are you sending? So it's really I don't

(11:51):
know if Lisa realizes what she's doing to her own brand,
because you know, the public wants accountability these days, and
if you're consciously saying I'm going to stand with this
person who you said Arab, even Bravo is like, no, Mayle.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Enough.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
So yeah, so Lisa have to really make sure she's
not damaging her own brand by being this desperate to
have ratings or whatever she's trying to get from it.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
You know, I think I think she is. I turned
down a lot of interviews and TV shows that are
just too extreme for me, and so I don't need
to name names, but there's certain channels or personalities and
podcasts that I don't go on. Maybe I could make
this show even more successful if I was more radical,
if I said more shocking stuff. It's just not my vibe.

(12:32):
I like my piece of the pie. And Lisa has
so much. It's not like she needs much more. Is
she going to be any more favorous by having another show? No,
I don't get it. It's she agreed and sheer bad judgment. Okay,
Jennifer Lopez is refusing to negotiate the price of her house.

(12:53):
It's for sale. She owns it with Ben Affleck. Ben
wants to cut the price.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
J Lo saying no, no, Yeah, she's not evident, but
you know her her motives are what's at question here though,
So Jennifer Lopez, Yeah, she's refusing to sell this sixty
eight million dollar mansion. And they say it's just to
spite Oh Ben, Yeah, we've got like a little inside
on this. And so basically Jennifer, you know, she's refusing it.

(13:17):
And now it's in Beverly Hills and it's how she
wants shared with Ben Affleck, you know, and despite the
property just sitting on the market for Neil nine months,
she's not budging. Now, this is typical Ben. A source
close to the situation tells hashtag shooter scoop. Now, when
things get hard, Ben runs, and that's what he did
in this marriage, and Jen is sick of it. So
the idea here is that she's retaliating by not selling

(13:40):
this house, although Ken apparently needs the money to fins
new projects, and Jennifer I think she knows that too.
Now she's like, that's not my problem. I'm not selling.
And apparently they even got like, you know, offers that
are not too bad, and she's like, no, no, So
she's just really apparently she's reportedly still great the situation,

(14:00):
and she feels like she bent over backwards to make
things work for Ben and herself, and now he wants
to rush the sale because you know, you know, she's
feeling pressure to do it and he's feeling the pressure
and she does not want to do it.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
So well, she doesn't want to do Yeah, I used
to work with Jennifer. I know. The one thing about
Jennifer is you don't message Jennifer Lopez on her money.
She wants her money, and she thinks his house is
worth what is it, sixty eight million? So if you
offer sixty, no, she wants that eight like she's really
really strung about this. She knows her worth and so
if Ben's willing to cut and run and just get

(14:32):
rid of it, I think he probably just wants to
end this chapter. Yeah, She's like, oh wait, wait, and
I'll get my money. She's very very patient. Maybe not
in romance, but in business. Jlo is no fool. She's like,
I'm not losing money on this house. Like last enough
marrying Ben emotionally and what was going on, how awful
it ended. So part of it two is like, yo, Jennifer,

(14:55):
you don't need the moonon hold on to it. Although
all the taxes, can you imagine how much it's costing
them to heap that has it's a bad time to
sell houses with everything going on in the incarna mill
for tariffs.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
And yeah, well, I mean certain population is never is
never going.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
To be never. You're right, and that's this population, that's
your population. Yeah, I mean, can you imagine sixty eight?
I can't even.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Imagine that could be too much world someone living in
it without me knowing.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
I think that's why they probably bought it, because they
really didn't want to spend that much time together, like
couples that buy these massive houses. I'm like, you don't
like each other reason. I live in a tiny, little
New York apartment. I love it. I think it's too big.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
How do you have a relationship like that, that you
have a closeness with your partner when they have their
own wing. That's right.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, the phone them, text them to meet for dinner. Okay,
we're going to take a quick break and we will
be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nic Show,
your host, Rob Shooter Halet's get to the polls. That
last year we talked about Taylor Swift being potentially subpoena
did in the Blake Lively case. Very very soon, I'm
hearing in the next few days. Will these two ever

(15:59):
be friends? This is a big deal. Taylor does not
like MESSI that's how I look. Eighty percent said, no,
it's over. This friendship is over. I can imagine it is.
It doesn't matter what the end result of this legal
case is. I don't think Taylor likes the fact she's
been dragged into this and there's text messages now, and
these two are good people. I do believe that Taylor
is a really good person. She could have said one

(16:21):
sloppy thing she could have care it. We text each
other all the time and gosh, just one mean thing
and everyone's gonna read it. I agree with you. Naughty
is hey, don't forget to vote on today's bowl. Go
to a Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob. Her facebook
page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back
on Monday to hear your results. And now it's time
for Annies of the.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Yes, well, this is a nice, little sweet story from
Gwyneth Paltrow. Of course, now she's giving up control, starting
with her diet. How many people know that Gwyneth is
known as a bit of a control It's just a
little tiny bit, but they say her recent decision to
ditch the ultrary strict of paleo diet lifestyle is something
that she's now looking to do, and it's more about

(17:05):
food than you know, just letting wait me say wait.
Sources close to Gwyneth Paltrow say her recent decision to
ditch the ultra restrictive paleo lifestyle is about more than food.
It's about finally letting go, Yeah, letting go, letting go
of some of that control. So she spent most of
her adult life trying to control every variable of everything,
like her food, her body, her image, even her breath.

(17:27):
One friend tells hashtag shooter scoop. But you know, something
that's finally shifted, and she's just not interested in being
perfect anymore. And that shift is playing out in very
subtle but real ways, from easing up on the no
more bread, no more pasta rules and all that. You
know what, I think there's a point when you get
older and you're like, I'm going to have that pasta,
I'm going to have that cake. I'm not here for

(17:47):
much longer, maybe on this planet. Let me have the cake.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Have the cake, Gwen. You've got nothing to prove to anybody.
And nicest of the day. And I noticed the day
naughty John Mulvaane. He is getting slammed for a joke
about Gene Hackman's death. So John was joking that how
can we possibly know what happened to dinosaurs when we
don't even know what happened to Gene Hackman, who died
just a few weeks ago. So he's making fun how

(18:14):
many loose ends there are around this death. We still
don't know a lot about it. I think, Johnny, I
know John means this to be funny. He's a good guy.
I've met him several times, but it does seem just
a little bit too soon. What do you think, Hey,
let's end with a moment, rob Don't be embarrassed by
where you are right now. Don't let shame keep you

(18:35):
stuck your current situation. It's not your final destination. So
if you do not like where you are right now,
that's fine. You're on a journey. You are on a
journey to something new. You're not behind, you're not broken,
You're just in progress.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
So instead of.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Hiding, make a plan. This is your moment to build,
not to pretend. Keep going, and I promise you you
will make it. When you do, you'll be proud that
you never gave in. Stop being embarrassed. If you can't
afford a fancy pair of shoes, you can't afford a
fancy dinner, you can't afford to go out tonight for

(19:13):
drinks with your friends, it's not embarrassing. This is not
your end. This is part of your process. Hey, that
is it for this week. Thank you so much for listening.
