The 54-year-old diva stepped out in NYC rocking a barely-there shirt emblazoned with "JLO BE MY MAMA" across her chest. Jeff Lewis didn't hold back when calling out Sonja Morgan for her wild behavior during the 15th-anniversary taping of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen."

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Welcome to be naughty but nicer. I'm your host, Rubs Shooter,
and it's a very special edition of the show. Today.
It's Thursday, but it's also the fourth of July, the
day we celebrate getting rid of King George. All those
Brits get out. Well, I'm sorry I have this silly accent,
but I gotta say I'm an American. I'm an American citizen.

(00:34):
So let's all celebrate a fabulous fourth together and joining
us today. And I wasn't sure if he was going
to it's a holiday, but he's always here. He's more
reliable than the United States Postal Surveys. Our dear friend
Mark Lupoh, hey LOUPI are you there? Happy forth? What
are you doing? What are you doing? Later on?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So, my friend has an apartment that overlooks the river
and gets the fireworks from So tonight we're having a party,
drinks and barbecuing and watching the fireworks.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Oh, I'm doing something very similar. So most years the
fireworks in New York are over the East River. They're
on the other side of the island. I live on
the Hudson, so I live on the west side. This year,
I think for the first time in a decade. They're
going to be over the Hudson River, so I'm gonna
get an amazing view. All of my windows look out
over the Hudson and we also have a roof that

(01:25):
we can go up on. So we're having friends over,
a bunch of friends coming over. I'm going to make
frank Furters hot dogs, and I'm gonna try. I know
I'm a terrible cook, I'm going to try. I'm going
to get an apple pie. I'm going full American, might
even wear a gingham. Look at that. Look like Doris Day.
Have a fabulous fourth everybody, let's jump into the show.
What time is it, my friends? It is tea time.

(01:46):
Big story at the top of the show, a cooking story.
I hope she can make a good apple pie. I'm
sure as she can. Megan Markle's new Netflix cooking show
has wrapped filming, so it's not finished yet. They have
to do all the bells and whistles, all the post
production stuff, but the actual filming of it has stopped.
It's ended. They are completed. Is this her big comeback

(02:07):
so the cooking show? Or she wants it to be
something really special? She wrapped filming it just a few
days ago, and sources say it all went really well
as well as it could. I don't know what that means.
That's a little bit of our dig there. I was like,
oh dear, And this promise is hopefully to be a
fresh start for Megan. A PR consultant told The Daily

(02:28):
Beast it could be a relaunch into something new and
really interesting now. The two of them, Meghan and her
husband Harry, they inked a deal with Netflix in twenty twenty.
It only runs through twenty twenty five, so this deal
is really sort of coming to an end. I know
it's only July, but we're halfway through the year and

(02:49):
these TV shows they take a long time to get
up and run running to film them, and so this
might be the last the last show they have on
Netflix unless it's a huge hit. Now. One of the
reasons this could actually work is that Megan does have
a background in this. Remember when she had her blog
at the Tig that was full of food stuff and gardening.

(03:10):
She had that before her royal life, so she does
know this inside has tell me she would love to
reposition herself as a lifestyle guru in the vein of
Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Peltrow big shoes to fill?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
What do you think, Mark, Yeah, so this is a
Z your Diet moment. I think their career. You know,
one of the headlines I was reading literally said Megan
Markel needs a hit, And you know, I think Megan
will be great at this. I agree. You know, the tig.
I was familiar with the blog and she has that
warm personality that I think people can sit back and
kind of relax and enjoy and learn from. You know. However,

(03:47):
it's there's been some hiccups along the way with their career.
They had the failed podcast, and then you know, with
the streamers, it's now they're being more transparent about what
is actually hitting and what is actually working. So I
think I'm very cure to see once this is released,
will it make the top ten and if it does,
how long.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Will it last? For? Yeah, they used to be total secrecy.
It was very hard to find out from the streamers
what really was a hit. Nowither being a little bit
more open about it, and they have to be because
that's just the way the world is. And if you
don't release the information, we'll find it out eventually. So
we will find out if this is a hit or not.
I think should be good at it. The question is

(04:25):
will we care to watch? Do people want to see Megan?
Because often people that are really good at something are
not always the biggest stars. It's the ones that sometimes
are not that good Andy Cohen, who we just watch constantly,
like the ones, you know, I think it's a mistake sometimes.
And we've been doing this a long time. Mark I

(04:46):
want to believe that talent and success are inter oven.
I want to believe that they do exist together. But
often we do see people who are really not that
talented who are really really successful, and so Meghan here
definitely has the talent. I don't know if the damage
has been done. I think over the last couple of years,

(05:09):
people have really made their mind up about Meghan Markle.
They either love her or they hate. There's nobody on
the planet at this point who's indifferent. There's nobody who's
going to start and say, let's give her a try.
You're either supporter or you don't. So the haters are
going to be strung from the second to this show airs,
and so are the supporters. I just don't know if

(05:30):
there are enough of them. I think what we want
from Meghan is we want gossip about the palace. Meghan
did a half hour Royal gossip show every week just
commenting on what's going on. Oh my god, I'd watch
it would be huge, Mark, it would be The New Housewives,
but Meghan in a kitchen, not gossiping about Kate or

(05:52):
William or what happened. I feel like there's going to
be an elephant in the room.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
I think there always will be until that comes to light.
And so I am curious to see how she will
include the family, if at all, if you know Harry
pops in the misappearance, are they going to include the
kids and a demo or the dogs or whatever? And
how much of her personal life will she revealed, because
I think, to your point, Rob, that's what we actually
really care about. I want to know what's going on

(06:18):
there Lis and we can get information about gardening and
tip from Martha Stewart and other people. We don't need
that necessarily. Are curious about. What are you going to
share with us?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
You know, I Heart gave me really good advice when
I started this show. When I started the show, was
quite nervous and I was trying to pretend to be
Diane Sawyer or Barbara Walters. I was trying to pretend
to be a newsperson, and the content was the most
important thing, and I had to give you great, great content.
I think I still do. However, Elvis Durand said to me, Rob,
we're not in the gossip business. We're not in the

(06:49):
celebrity business. We're in the friendship business. And if people
like you, they will listen. And at the time, I
just never thought about that. And I'm so lucky. I'm
so glad you liked me, Thank you very much. But
the success of the show has been me, has been Mark,
has been to Lane, or it's been that the people
on the show, rather than what we are talking about.
Don't get me wrong, we all love some celebrity gossip.

(07:11):
I get it, but we also like hanging out with
their friends each day, and I think we've created that
environment on the show. Now, Mark, you have an enormous
amount of experience in television. What would be your advice
to Megan m That's.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
A great question. I would say for anyone going on
TV and trying to sell something or trying to sell themselves,
it's knowing the why, Like why are you doing this?
And why do we care? So I think if you're
coming in authentically and you actually are presenting something that
is real, then I think people will connect to and
they'll they'll get it, like how this show works and
why people they have a Facebook group for our show

(07:47):
and people chime in. They love the conversation because it's real.
But if you're selling something that's bogus, they're gonna know.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I can tell right away when I see guests on
TV shows. Mostly the hosts are really good. So if
you're hosting a national TV show, you're pretty pretty good.
You don't get that far. But guests get booked on
all the time. So occasionally there's a dud guest. There's
a guest that shouldn't really be on the Today Show
or GMO, and you see them and you cringe, And
I think that's what it is. Mark, It's the secret

(08:14):
really to life. Why why am I doing this? Why?
And if you can answer that, you probably will be successful. So, Megan,
if you were listening Galloo loolo free advice from Mark Lupo,
Why are you doing it? Why you don't? And it
can't be for the money if it's a cash grab.
Then it feels like Bethany Frankel. It feels like a
real housewife trying to sell it. Can't be that, but

(08:36):
I do think here Mark, she does know this subject.
It's actually a really good subject. Her podcast before it
really wasn't her foretakes. It's like a therapy session and
she didn't really have the experience or the professional umph
might wait Gravitos to give advice really on that sort
of stuff. But I do think this is something that

(08:57):
could work. Hey fingers crossed, which brings us to our
whole question of the day. Meghan Mickle's new cooking show
is gonna be her big ree launch. Will you watch?
Are you interested in watching Meghan Markles new show? My goodness,
I can't wait to hear the results. Don't forget to
vote on our Twitter page Naughty Dies robora Facebook page

(09:18):
which is Naughty Gossip and b shower to check back
tomorrow to hear your results. Hey Loopy, what are you
working on? All?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Right? So Jennifer Lopez for a bold crop top and
it's speaking volumes about her situation with Ben Affleck. Let
me explain. So the fifty four year old diva stepped
out in New York City, rocking a barely there shirt
which read j Loo b my mama flash her chest,
which turned heads and sparking rumors amidst her marital troubles

(09:48):
with Ben Affleck Rob. If you see these pictures, she
looks incredible, like her her abs or rock card. She
looks very stylish, and she's obviously looking to be photographed.
She's not hiding, she's not trying. What do you think
of this, this prop clab and the expression of prosery.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
I just love that Jennifer has confirmed that. Don't feel
bad about talking about Jennifer. Like sometimes we're like, oh,
we should lay off her and she's got marriage troubles. No,
she's loving this. This is an absolute moment for her.
When I worked with Naomi Campbell, the supermodel, she allegedly
hit her maid, and we had these T shirts made
up that said Naomi hit me and I loved it,

(10:24):
and I put Naomi in one of the T shirts
and she went to Central Park and I had a
photographer hiding in the bush. It was a staged photoop.
And so I think this feels a little stage too. Mark.
I want to I want to get you one of
these T shirts for Christmas. I would totally wear this, Jaylor,
if you're listening your love lovelo, make these T shirts
and put them on your website, and I promise they
will sell out. And I think Ben's playing the game

(10:46):
too like he could disappear. But he said, oh, al
those MOPy pictures of him looking so sad and MOPy
with his dunkin Donuts. This is a much more fabulous look.
Her abs are fabulous now she's here in New York Mark.
She went to bell for a couple of nights ago.
Friends of mine were there and she turned up without
a reservation. And Belfazar can be a bit snippy. They're

(11:06):
not that nice there, and they were sort of like,
we don't know if we can get you in. She
had six people, but they made a table up for her.
They like pushed tables together with an attitude if they
were not smiles about it. But she did. She did
get to eat her steak friends, so she did get
to eat her food at Belfasar. What do you think though,
that she's in New York with her kids for the
fourth of July. Ben's in La. They're done, They're over.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
I think they're done, And I think too. You know,
some people were suggesting that the phrase I'm your mama,
you know, is she alluding to the fact that she
was kind of his caretaker, like like, you know, sort
of speak mother. And typically when couples are married and
they get to that point where one person is the
parent to the other, you know, that's when divorce happens.

(11:51):
That's what it all goes down.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
So I don't know, Yeah, I'm not your parents, I'm
your wife, Like, calm it down, I'm not your mother.
Lots of reporting with Jennifer Gardner felt the same way
that she felt like she was his mom too, and
he was like her extra troubled kid who she seems
to have back. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, quickly
before we go to break. Jeff lewis who I actually
really do like Mark. He's a really funny guy on Brather.

(12:15):
I think he lost his show on Brav he had
like a house flipping show, But now he has a
radio show on Andy Cohen's channel, so he's still very
close with Andy. Andy just celebrated his fifteenth anniversary of
What's What Happens, Like, congratulations, Gosh, I remember when that
show started and we all sort of rolled our noses
at it. We're like, oh, it's awful. It's a huge hit, monk.

(12:37):
It is fun. I I don't watch it that often anymore,
but I see the clips. There's always clips online. He
makes a lot of news and they always do make
me smile. Or for the fifteenth anniversary, he had Jeff
on the show and Sonya Morgan and Jeff is saying
that her drunken antics were just awful. He said he
was very annoyed by Sonya, and he added they did

(12:58):
a lot of work to edit her quote obnoxious drunk
behavior out of the show. She was twenty times worse.
So it was on a live show, it was taped. Oh,
I've been around Sonya. In fact, I think I had
a falling out with Sonya and it was about alcohol.
I remember once recommending that she considered as gentle going

(13:22):
to rehab, and she really was in the state in
New York. She used to have every Thursday when the
show aired, these parties at her at her townhouse, and
she wouldn't allow any girls and it was only boys.
Once I took our friend Valerie and she wouldn't let
Valerie in Mark it was only gay boys. So Sonya
was the only woman there. It was all gay boys,
and we watched her watch herself for an hour and

(13:43):
we all adored her and we kissed her bottom, and
we drank way too much. But it got a little
a little dark, you know, like when friends we've seen
it or we've been out. And I love a good drunk.
I'm probably a good drunk myself. I hope I like
a good drink, but when people turn me, when people
get belligerent, I'm like, oh no, it's not a good look.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
No it's not. And you know, I had a similar
experience with her at a party hosted by Jill's Aeron
a few years ago, and she was I was a
reporter and I was interviewing her or kind of on
the spot. She was really drunk and saying weird, weird,
weird things about herself but her family, and I kind
of felt bad. I'm like, I don't want to run
this stuff because you're saying things that are really inappropriate.

(14:27):
But I could tell that something is.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Deeply, deeply deeply. I used to go out drinking with
her maybe once or twice a week, and I had
to stop because I was becoming that that sloppy and
that drunk. I remember many and night put in her
in a taxi or get in a home, get in
a home. I went. I was with her and she
fell off a bar stool, like we were literally sitting
at a bar. I looked to my left and I
thought she'd got to the bathroom, and I looked down

(14:50):
and she was lying on the floor. It's not a
good look. And this isn't going to help her get
that job back on the Real Housewives. That whole cast
has been fired. It isn't interesting to see who Andy
invited to this show though, because these are his favorites.
So the fact lu Anne was there, the fact Sonya
was there, that's a good sign. But oh, it's still
a business, Sonya. I get it. I know you're in

(15:11):
the entertainment business and you are entertaining, but we've also
got to put down that bottle. Okay, We're going to
take a quick break and we will be like back,
Welcome back to the Moody Blunt n I Show. I'm
your homestrom Shooter with my dear friend Mark Gloper. Mark,
we've spent so long gossiping today. We didn't get to
two topics. Did you notice that I know by bees,

(15:33):
busy bees. If you were the EP of the show, Mark,
would you be like moving me along, like get to
the next one?

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Get I would not because I think this has been
a nice conversation this morning, on this holiday.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
I always went to backstage at the View and they
had like five topics they were going to discuss before
the first break, and they got so into the first topic.
But that's the only one they did. And I remember
Bill Geddi, who was the EP at the time. I
looked at Bill and I was like, oh, dear, and
He's like, no, no, no. If it needed to be
moved along, if they had exhausted it, that's when you
move them along. Don't think you have to do just

(16:07):
what's in the teleprompter. And if something actually really exciting happens,
that's better than the teleprompter. Don't cut it off. It's
like gold. Look at us spinning stories. Okay, let's get
to the polls.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Dark.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Last year we talked about Nick Cannon ensuring his most
valuable assets. You know what they are? For ten million?
An already question was is Nick Cannon's junk worth ten
million dollars three percent? Yes, So that's ninety seven percent

(16:41):
said no, I think we should be insured for ten
million to keep his junk away from us. Nick put
it away also too. This is a PR stunt Lloyd's
of London real insurance companies. They're not really doing this.
There's no way that this is actually real, but it is.
It's funny. It makes me smile. Nicky's eating on the joke.

(17:02):
So I guess we're all winners. Hey, don't forget to
vote on today's pool. Get a Twitter page I had
Naughty Nice robb or a Facebook page which is naughty
Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear
your results. And now it's time for a Noisiest of
the day.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Oh wow. So Travis Kelsey has opened up about meeting
Julia Roberts at Taylor Swift's Dublin concert. Travis Kelsey has
nothing but praise for the Hollywood Icon After the viral
interaction at the Era's tour in Dublin, he said, I
met Julia Roberts in Ireland and she was really cool.

(17:42):
She was pretty cool, And then he went out to
say that she was awesome, noting that they had a
blast in the VIP tent with Stevie Nicks.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Oh, have you ever met Julia.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
She's walked past me once.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
She's a movie star.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yeah, she's talked, but I could feel her energy.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
She's movie star. I was invited to see Pretty Woman,
the Broadway musical the night that Julia went, and I
sat behind her. I didn't watch the musical. I just
watched Julia Roberts watching herself. And I think she got
a bit confused because I don't think she thought that
she sang in the movie. So every time they bursted
to song, she looks at her friend next to her, like,

(18:20):
did I sing? No, Julia, it's a musical, but I've
gotta say she's a movie star. Mark when she turned
around and that million dollar smile. Oh, her mouth, it's
the biggest mouth I've ever seen. It goes from ear
to ear, ear to ear, and it's full of teeth,
full of teeth. She has more teeth. I think we

(18:40):
have all your mommy's a dentist. Ask her. I think
we have thirty two teeth something like that. Thirty four brando. Yeah,
Julia's got two hundred and eight. She's got so movie star.
And I think Travis had to do this because there
was a bit of pushback that she was a little
handsy with him. She was touching him and feeling him
a little bit. I think he did this deliberately to

(19:01):
sort of put all that to rest and nice is
the day. And then I noticed the day naughty, naughty, naughty,
new allegations shocking allegations against the Diddy, just as he
lists his seventy million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills. So
it looks like Diddy is leaving Los Angeles. He's put
up his massive home. This is the place that was

(19:22):
raided by Homeland Security. I used to work for Diddy,
so I have amazing Dodey sources. Some of my sources
are saying he just wants to sell the house. He
thinks this is Neverland. It's been it's been tainted, it's
been touched by the FBI. He doesn't want to live
there anymore. Some people were even more dramatic and said
he's flee in the country. He's done with America. He's
just so disgusted or we're disgusted with you, Puffy. This

(19:43):
is not going away. Let's end with a moment of
rob you rob, you get a rob you get a rob.
I love this quote from Lady Gagab. I've been searching
for ways to heal myself, and I found that kindness
is the best way. Kindness is a medicine, Mark. We've
all got wounds, we've all got traumas that we've never
really dealt with. There's little stuff beneath our skin that

(20:06):
makes us, makes us bubble up, that triggers us. And
I think the best way to soothe all that is
to be kind to yourself. I don't say mean things
to myself anymore. I say kind things, and it's been
the best way, at least for me and Lady Gaga
to heal. Hey, that is it for today. Thank you
so much for listening to The Naughty but Nice with
