Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice Shot. Welcome to the Naughty but Night Show. It
is Thursday, Unrobbed Shooter, which means our friend Mark Lupo
is joining us. LUPI are you there, Hey, Rob, Hey,
Lupy Lou. How's your mother, Doris? Oh, she's just wonderful.
I haven't seen her in a few weeks, but we
(00:29):
talk often about you and this show. You can talk
about me to your mother all the time. She only
calls me to talk about this show. She doesn't calm
me to see how I'm doing or what's going on
in the city. She's like, how is robbed? It's not right?
I mean I do love it, but it's not right.
Does she call you every Thursday after we post this
episode or does she wait till Friday? I think she
(00:51):
waits until Friday and most most times, yeah, she wants
to see it fresh the day after. Oh yes, and
she she'll have a good listen up today. Well, hello, Doris,
we're thinking of you. Hey, let's actually get to some
celebrity news. Although Doris, you are a celebrity. Let's get
some to some more celebrity news, because do you know
what time it is? Mark in ease t Big Exclusive
(01:14):
at the top of the show. I've been hitting the
phones all night to get some scoop on this. So
the Bachelor, the Bachelorette is in disarray. It is melting
a part. Rachel Lindsay was offered the role to be
the host for the after the Rose ceremony. So everything
we're watching at the moment, I think there's another two
or three episodes. They've all been pre recorded. They're all done,
(01:34):
they're put to bed. Now they need a host. It's
normally Chris Harrison to do a live show. They bring
everybody back in. It's like the after show. It's trific.
You get all the gossip. What really went down? Are
these two gonna get married? Block? But this year it's
really explosive because of all the controversies. So Chris is out.
He stepped aside. They wanted Rachel Lindsay to do that.
(01:55):
Rachel's the first ever black bachelorette on the show. She's trific.
She now works for Extra. Rachel said thanks, but no thanks.
She didn't want to do it, so Rachel said no.
Now I'm being told ABC is looking for somebody outside
of the franchise. They don't want to form a Bachelor
or a bachelor et. They want somebody new to come
in and host the show. Who have they got their
eye on? Michael stray Hand. Oh, now he's part of
(02:20):
the ABC family, so he's already got a big deal
with ABC. I think he could be a really good choice. Obviously,
he's a person of color, and I think at this moment,
when Matt James sits down and tells his story, you
don't want him sitting there with a man that looks
like Chris Harrison. It's not the moment. I think Michael
Strayhand could be a touch of genius. What do you think?
(02:42):
Rabbit totally agree with. Michael Strayhand is one of the
top personalities on ABC at the moment, and I think
you need a heavy hitting person to handle this interview,
at least for this moment. I don't see Michael Straighthand
doing the show next year or the year after, but
I do think he'd be the perfect person to wrap
up this controversial season, right. They also want somebody that
(03:05):
has hours and hours and hours of live TV experience.
You can't just be charming and lovely. You've got to
know TV because, as you know, Mark, someone that worked
on live TV for a long time. There are certain
skills that you have to have, throwing to break, knowing
how to read a cue card. They can't have this
show with somebody that's not done that before, even if
we adore them. They've got to have a lot of
(03:26):
live tea experience. Michael has probably got more live tea
experience than Chris Harrison because he did the Kelly Show
for all those years. Is on g M A the
other name that I'm hearing, and this is a really
heavy hitter, but I think it gives the show gravitas.
Is that the right word? It makes the show really important,
or at least this one episode. Robin Roberts, Oh, I
(03:48):
love Robin Roberts ABC. She's smart, she's she's diverse, and
she gets it. She's she's handled big interviews before. Yes,
I mean, if she can do world leaders and people
crisis breaking news, she can sit down with a bunch
of bachelor rettes. Although this is very important episode, Mark
My My sources are telling me that ABC and Nervous,
(04:11):
this franchise has made hundreds of millions of dollars for ABC,
hundreds of millions of dollars all over the world. It's
at a crisis point, and if they don't handle this
moment right, if they don't handle it with care, it
could all blow up, which they don't want to happen,
which brings us to my pole question of the day. So,
Michael Strahan is top of ABC's list. I love that
(04:34):
Michael Strahan. He is so charming. He's fun too. I've
met him a few times. Mark, He's a really good guy.
So he's at the top of the list to replace
Chris Harrison on this special episode. Is it a good
idea or a bad idea? Go and votes on that
Twitter page at Naughty Nice Robber and Facebook page is
Naughty Gossip. You can leave a comment there and be
(04:54):
sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. I
can't wait to see the result, Mark, what are you
working on that? Okay, so this story is a bit
more serious. Tiger Woods, let's talk about him. So Tiger
Woods almost crashed into a car driven by the director
of Grownish minutes before his near fatal crash that left
(05:15):
him hospitalized with multiple lake injuries on Tuesday. I know so.
According to crew member who works on the show, the
TVs director arrived to set shortly before seven am. On Tuesday,
claiming that Woods came close to striking his vehicle. Yeah, so,
the crew member quoted his director, who has not been
identified yet the TMZ, saying quote, he was like, yeah,
(05:37):
you know what, almost got into an accident with effing
Tiger Woods. He almost hit me. Now we've got to
just stop and saying I do live a line reading knock.
You could do that fabulous impersonation all day. Continue. Thank you.
I felt I wanted to give you the drug into it.
You got into it. I wasn't there, but I feel
(05:58):
like I was there. Okay. So um. The Grotish crew
member had been staying at the same resort in Palas
Verdes as Tiger Woods, which makes sense, and it was
at that resort that the crew member claimed his director,
Sir Woods described at the athlete as appearing agitated and
impatient as his vehicle was blocked by another but right
before the crash took place, So rob it seems like
(06:21):
Tiger Woods his headspace was kind of dark. It was frustrated,
you know. And also Tiger is no stranger to car accidents.
If you remember back into thousand and nine, he was
involved in a terrible car crash unless him knocked him
out unconscious in the middle of the night. Luckily he
wasn't injured badly. But you know, it seems like he
has some kind of anchor issue or something where he
(06:41):
just kind of loses control. What do you think? This
one's a wild story. It's been the leaved of the
nightly news for like two nights in a row, so
it's a big, big story. But if you ever got
cross with somebody and you've ended up doing something bad
to yourself. So I remember once I was crossing a
sidewalk and a driver didn't stop quickly in up and
so I gave him a piece of my mind and
(07:02):
I carried on walking Mark And I've walked into a
lamp post and it served me right because I was
in a bad place. Do you know what I mean? Like,
have you ever been in like a restaurant or somewhere
and you've been cruss or grumping you end up spilling
coffee on yourself, Like this has happened to me? What
about your life? Market hilarious? Rather, it's true you're in
a bad mood when you do something stupid and then
it makes your day even worse. You know, I've been there,
(07:24):
so many times, and it's like, why can't I learn
my lesson at the birth? When I've had a row
with a friend or somebody, I've tried to walk out
of Bottino in a tantrum, like in a very dramatic way,
and I've walked into the door like I've definitely I'm
so clumsy. The good news about this there is Tiger
seems to be doing okay. The reports today are that,
(07:45):
thank goodness, he's he's gonna be okay, although there are
reports that he's worried about his future and golf. The
injuries he sustained might have ended his career, but he's
very lucky that it didn't end his life. This could
have been a lot worse, So that's something to be
grateful for. Hey, Katherine Metphie and David Foster have welcomed
(08:07):
their little baby. It's a son. They had a boy,
so they put out an announcement that mom, dad and
son are doing just wonderful. I think this is so sweet.
I love a baby news. Now, I know there's going
to be a lot made of the age difference. I
think he's in his seventies. He's seventy one, she's thirty six,
but they seem to be very very happy. Let me
ask you, you know who they're very close with, Megan
(08:29):
and Harry. Do you think Megan and Harry will be
the godparents that this little boy? You know what? I
think that. I think it's very possible, But I also
think that's the kiss of death of you know, once
you get too too close and then you know, you
saw what happened to Megan's friend Prianka Chopra. She got
too close and then she got dead. It so yeah,
briancas gone, and the other one, the fashion designer Maloney,
(08:52):
Justica Maloney or something like that. She's gone to. Now,
if you had a baby, that, wouldn't you want the
godparents to be sel British because it makes you look good?
Like I would love Harry and Megan to be Dorby.
That's my dog before he's god's parents. Not really because
I want them to look after Derby, but I just
want to tell everybody his godparents are Harry and Meghan,
(09:13):
of course, and like listen, David Foster, he's allegends, you know,
like you want you want to associate yourself with someone
like him, and of course Megan and Harry to there
are their legends in their own right. So um, I
love that idea. Who are your godparents? Who did Dorris
him other pick for you? My godparents? It's one of
my uncle. Oh, that's nice. It's that Doris's brother or
your dad's brother. My my mom's brother is my godparents.
(09:34):
And then my mom's friend and best friend at the
time was my godmother. But we don't know where she is.
It's not a good sign. Yeah, I mean, I'm sure
they're both lovely people, Mark, but they're not Megan and Harry.
Do you know what I mean? What would Doris have
done if she had had access to Megan and Harry? Well, Rob,
you know, I met Megan Marco about a year before
she became really famous. She came to the Wendy Williams
(09:57):
showed you to pitch herself as an s and I
spent an hour in my office talking to the breeze,
like just hanging out with her. And she was lovely
and I would love to have a real connection with
her in real life. So let's do it. Ding dong,
there's somebody at the door. It's Megan Marco. She wants
to be a contributor to the Wendy Williams show that
nobody on the staff really wanted to meet with her
because they didn't care at that point. Let's be honest,
(10:19):
and so they said, Mark, will you just go and
meet with her and shut her up? So you're in
the conference room with Megan and or your office for
an hour. Yeah. So she came in, no no security.
She came in an uber, dressed beautifully in a nice dress.
She walked into me and my my friend Carry, my
colleague Carry's office. The office was covered in magazines and
just clutter, and she sat right down and she was so, so,
(10:42):
so nice. She she just talked like a regular person,
telling us stories about her her volunteer work, about her dogs,
about her love for animals, and we just talked about
her dad and how she grew up on the set
of various TV shows and why she wanted to be
an actress. And we at the time we thought, like,
you know, maybe will have you on as as a
fashion correspondent, but no, she wanted to be a guest.
(11:05):
So she said, I don't want to be a fashion correspondent.
I want to come and sit on Wendy's couch and
be a guest. Yeah. And we told her no. But
do you regret it? You could have added a royal,
the royal correspondent of all royal correspondents. It's you know,
looking back, it's like, damn, we could have had her.
But at the time, she wasn't anyone that we would know.
She was on the show Suits. We never really we
(11:26):
didn't talk about that show ever, and she wasn't like
a household name, so at that point she was not,
you know, the same. It's wild the people we met,
do you know. I met Kim Kardashian when she wasn't Kim.
I had dinner. It was Kim, Paris Hilton, me and
Jonathan Chman, and I moved seats to sit next to Paris.
I couldn't care less about this Kim because Paris was
(11:48):
a big star or becoming a big star. So I
was all over Paris. I barely looked at Kim. What
a mistake. And as Jonathan said, my behavior set those
two up to be best friends. I could be the
Jonathan Chepan of Kim's. Well, I know, you life, you've
got to be nice to everybody. What's going on with Zanda?
I love her? I love her too, so she's a
(12:09):
twenty four year old Emmy Award winning actress, and she
was recently featured in Vanity Fair for its annual Hollywood
issue and to partner video Q and A called the
Proused Questionnaire. So when asked what is the quality you
most like in a man, Zendia quickly rephrase the question,
take out the gender and said, I most like in
(12:30):
a person. How about that? I kind of love that, right,
And then so she says, it's such a big question,
what is the quality I like most in someone? I
would say? She said kindness is the best quality and
the best way to describe it because she says people
are just good people and you could just feel that. Yeah.
And then the next question she was asked is what
(12:51):
is the quality most like in a woman? And Zendaiah responded, well,
I guess that's like the same answer is. I'm a
big of the HBO show Euphoria, where than Diet plays
this character roo teenager and she's looking to figure herself out.
She's a transgender woman. And I love this because in
Diet is a true generation zes she sees the world differently,
(13:16):
sees the world differently than how our generations see the
world and I think they're more open and they're less
interested in being labeled. So I think this is a
wonderful moment for a start to kind of come out
and and show how they think and how they're seeing
the world. What I love this. Joan Rivers, who used
to be quite a close friend of mine, makes you
rest in peace. Joan told me it's very important to
always have young people in your life because you learn
(13:38):
how they think, and it's different than how you do.
And when this question was asked, that's a typical question.
Vanity Fair is a very prestigious magazine, and I might
ask this question too, And now I thought about it,
and I don't need to ask what's the quality you
like in a manner a woman? Just what's the quality
you like in a person? Is all you need to say.
So I sort of love this. I quite like being
(14:00):
challenged in the way I think I do. I sort
of love that these old fashioned values that I've had forever,
not all of them, many of which I will keep forever,
but a lot of them, I really do like to
think of it from a different angle. So good for
you for making us all think. And then quickly before
we go to break Prince Harry is allegedly ready to
rush back home and be by Prince Philip's side to
(14:23):
Prince Philip is in hospital. He's nine years old. Prince
Philip is the Queen's husband, and that makes him Harry's grandfather.
Harry Love, don't be ready to rush home. He in hospital,
Get on a plane. I mean, I'm not going to
be a Debbie downer about this one. I'm not willing
anything bad to happen, but I am pointing out the
(14:45):
facts here. He's nine, he's in hospital, and you're ready
to rush home. I'd be on that jet Blue today.
He should, he should already have been this. I totally
agree it. This is your grandfather, and he does not
the recent pictures of him, he does not look well.
He just crashed his car, not too long ago, like
a year ago. Harry, come home, come home. You're gonna
(15:08):
regret it, Harry, look at us giving advice to the
royals who could be your godfather. Mark allegedly I know things.
We say. Okay, let's take a quick break and we
will be all right back. Welcome back to then naughty
but nice show. I'm rob shooting with my friend Mark Loop.
Oh hey, loopy. Let's get to the poles the dark Mark,
(15:29):
did I mention were number eight on the charts? I
saw that. Congratulations. I say every day that everybody is
going to be so sick and me all the naughties
are like, oh, shut up, it's the naughties that are
really number eight on the charts. Though it's not you
and me. I mean me and you could be doing
this alone in our basement for the rest of our lives.
If it wasn't for the naughty is, we wouldn't be
in the top hundreds. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
(15:52):
You know what I might do? Mark? Do you think
you'll feel guilty today if we dropped to number nine
on your episode? Well you know what, Terry on the Facebook,
thank you Terry for always for posting and sharing. And
I think that with her, with her help, will stay
at number eight. Terry is the reason that really Terry
is number eight. That's the truth. I know. Terry's made
(16:12):
us number eight. God love you, Terry. Okay, let's get
to the polls. Do do do? Mark? It's not the
right sound you do march to your own beat, and
I like that about you. Okay, let's get to the polls. So,
Kim Kardashian is getting inundated with men who want to
dat her. So she's really just filed for divorce two
(16:33):
days ago, and already Nena reach it out, saying, how
do I get a date with Kim? Is this a
compliment or is it ruded? Okay, let's have a look
at the pole. Oh fifty nine percent said it's rude, Mark,
Where are you rude or compliment? Oh, it's not rude. Listen.
Sure she'll be the next Christian. Or she's gonna marry
someone with other kids. They're gonna have a big, blended family.
(16:55):
They're going to have another reality show, they're gonna have
more things to sell. It's it's just part of the narrative.
There's no surprises here. How quick do you hit on
someone you've had your eye on after they break up? Mark?
So for friends dating somebody they break up, you've always
liked him, do you text him that day a week later?
I mean why not? If your free? Free? I mean whatever,
(17:16):
come on, just come over for a drink so I
can console you. Come and cry on my shoulder. Oh
you're terrible, I'll take care of you. Oh, nobody get
to that house. Go ahead to Doris Is She'll look
after you. Okay, everybody, don't forget to vote on to
day's poll. You can get to our Twitter jack Naughty
Nice Facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to
(17:37):
check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's
time for the Nicest of the Day. Oh Rob, I
have surprise for you. This is I'm gonna surprise you
on your own show. So the nicest of the Day.
I'm going to share with you some of the sweetest
fan comments left on the podcast. This isn't in the
script mark I know I'm okay, So here you're here.
(18:00):
I'm gonna listen. Like about three different reviews, one said
Rob Shooter is a burst of energy and positivity. I
lose him. I loved him and all the codes on
the show. I listened to this first thing every morning
when I got out of surgery. This is the first
thing I tuned into. Love it, love it, love it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. That's so kind. Yes.
Another person said, get a Rob, thank you for your insight.
(18:24):
And the words at the end of each episode really
makes me think about that little voice in my head
that constantly puts me down. I'll take your advice and
quiet down and not listen to it. Thank you, friend,
Oh my goodness, thank you for leaving that. It's lovely.
Thank you. And one more for you, Rob. Someone said
I always come back, and they wrote, Rob, I just
(18:44):
saw you in the Wendy Williams Show, and even though
you looked fantastic before, you are down right a movie
star handsome. Now I know you're now. I know these
are not real comments. Oh my Goodni, I know you're
a movie movie star and I love your show. The
only thing is I wish it was longer to keep
me company on my hour along walks. This is like,
(19:06):
this is at a time where it just really entertains me.
Thank you. Oh gosh, that's awfully sweet. Thank you Mark
for doing that. The Naughties are the nicest of the day.
And we're actually talking about adding a special Saturday show
that Mark might be heading up. So if you're looking
for a longer show, well I shouldn't announce it yet.
I'm going to get in terrible trouble from my heart,
but we are talking about adding maybe a little bonus
(19:29):
episode headed up by Mark on Saturday's. Stay tuned for that.
Mark that was awfully sweet of you. Thank you love.
Let's do our naughtiest of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty.
Clammie Kardashian has been caught with another photoshop fail. Why
do we get surprised? It's always news though. So she's
put out some new ads for Good American and they
are outright bizarre. People are writing what the hell is
(19:52):
this and the audacity of photoshop? Clomie is responding those
same It's deliberate. They use the special camera that has
a stretching effect. So that's what's going on there. Naughty, norty, naughty. Quickly,
it's time for a moment off. Rob, You gotta Rob,
You gotta Rob. Rob. When you were kind to yourself,
it makes you the type of person who is kind
(20:13):
to others. And when you were kind to others, you
will develop friendships, relationships that you never dreamed possible. It
starts with you, Rob. I totally agree with you being kind.
You attract more flies with honey than you do vinegar,
and I love. I love being kind to myself, but
then I think it also shows in my relationships with
(20:35):
people around me. I was always quite kind to people,
but I wasn't kind to myself. When I started to
be nicer to me, I was even nicer to everybody.
Thank you for listening. We ran out of time. Hey Mark,
we love having you every Thursday, Doris, give us a call.
Next week we'll have a chat. And thank you for
(20:55):
listening to the Naughty but Nights with Rob and Mark show,
a production of My Heart Radio. Don't forget to subscribe
on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever
you listen. Leave us a review if you can. Now
I'm all about these reviews. Barg no movie star. I
never thought of myself as handsome. I still don't, but
it's awfully sweet, So thank you for that. And altogether,
(21:17):
I remember, if you're going to be naughty, you've got
to be nicebody. It's not even nice with bro
