Speaker 1 (00:12):
No, Welcome to the Naughty but Nice I'm your host,
Rob Shooter, and it's Tuesday, bright and early Tuesday morning,
and every Tuesday we have the bright and always Early
Miss D with us. Hey, Miss D, are you there?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I am? I am? Oh my goodness, I can't believe it.
It's a week before the holidays are really kicking.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Have you done all your shopping or do you leave
it to the last minute.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
No, I actually do my shopping on Black Friday because
I actually ship everything to Georgia and I'll be down
there starting tomorrow. So I'm very excited to see my nephews.
I got them some great gifts, but I.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Can't don't tell anybody. Okay, let's jump into the show.
What time is it, my friends? It is I'm an
adorable story at the top of the show. So Harry
and Meghan have sent out their Christmas card, and yes,
we got our hands on it. No, they did not
send me one, but nevertheless, I'm a very loosey curious person,
so I did get it. It's adorable. It's about six pictures, mistery,
(01:15):
six small pictures on the card. I should point out
that it's not technically from the family it's from their foundation.
There's a picture of the two of them. There's a
picture of them separate pictures doing some charity work. But
the picture that you're gonna hear about all day is
a little picture. It's ever so small. But in the
picture it's Harry Meghan, they're two children, and they're three.
(01:36):
Dog is. Now we don't see the kid's face, so
arches five, Lilibet's three. We see the back of their heads,
so we actually see Meghan's face, Harry's face, and the
children are running towards them, so we see the back
of their heads. It's so interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Lillibert has red hair. Oh, I couldn't stop loving it.
She looks so cute to me, a little flooral dress,
she had a knee high socks on, and the dog is, Oh,
you know, I love a doggie.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
So I think it was all beautiful, really casual. But
now people are asking, and this has come up a lot,
particularly because of Katie Holmes this week. Do they want
it both ways? Remember when Suri Cruz was born, Katie
Holmes put Suri with Tom Cruise on the cover of
Vanity Fair. They showed her to the world, they announced
(02:24):
her to the world. Now, Harry and Megan didn't do that.
They didn't do a cover a vanity fair. But is
this a little bit dangerous? Are they letting us into
their children's lives and then they're going to slam the door.
This is a process that you know a lot of celebrities, mister,
particularly celebrities with kids, they struggle with this.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, I mean, I think this is trying to be
the happy medium. They know people want to see what
the kids look like, so they're like, we're allowing you
to see how big they've gotten. You can see their
hair color, you can see that we're a happy little family,
but you can't see their faces. And we see a
lot of celebrities doing this where you maybe you see
a foot or a toe. If you think about Halle Berry,
(03:09):
we didn't see her daughter until she was of age,
about sixteen seventeen years old. So I think this is
their happy medium. But again we have to think if
they want to be considered a regular family. I have
a bunch of cards on my dresser from my friends
where they're with their children and with their family, so
(03:30):
that's something normal to do. So it is balancing a
fine line.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
But you know, we love it, and.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
This way instead of having the Papa Razzi try to
shoot their kids. That are like, we're putting it out there.
It's free. Obviously people are going to see the picture,
and this is how we're handling it.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, I think I agree with you here. I loved it.
I think this is a happy medium. I am frightened
that now it's going to have more interest in the kids.
I'd sort of not forgotten about them, but we weren't
really talking about them. Now these kids are the lead
story on Ash five years old is Archie. Little Libert
is now three. We haven't spoken about them for a while,
(04:07):
and I think Harry and Meghan have done a really
great job of protecting them. And that's why this was
a bit of a surprise to me. I think it's lovely.
I'm glad we got to see them. I looked at
this picture, dissected it. I looked at her hair and
little shoes, like everything about it is just adorable. It
must be really weird as a parent to want to
show off your kids to the world. Our friend Fiano
(04:28):
has had a baby and she loves posting pictures of Stella. Stella.
If you're listening, she's in Greece Alooloolao, and so I
understand it. It must be tricky because Harry and Meghan
are so proud of these two beautiful little kids. I'm
sure they want to show them off. I'm told my
sources tell me that they have pictures of the kids'
faces on their phones and when they're at parties, they
(04:50):
do show them to their friends. They just don't want
them consumed yet by the general public.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Oh yes, I totally agree.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
I saw an actor, Jason Ritter, and I was at
a party with him.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
That's John Ritter's son.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
He's also on Matt Locke, the New CBS show, and
he had a picture of his daughter on his phone
and he did show it to me. So yeah, of
course their parents they're proud of their kids. They want
to share their photos. But again, when you're famous, and
we should all look at children's photos and just say, oh,
so cute, But some people have nefarious thoughts and so
(05:26):
you have to protect your kids. And that's not just
for celebrities. We know that with regular people who have
posted pictures on social media, you still have to protect
your children. So we thank them for giving us a
little sneak peek and people do not ask for more.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
They gave us.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
We're good, yes, yes, which brings us to our pulp
question of the day. Harry and Megan have shared their
Christmas card and it does feature their two kids, Archie
and Lillibert. We do not see their faces. Was this
the right decision? What do you think? Should we see
the faces or should they not put the kids on
there at all?
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Think?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Was it a good decision to include them? Hego vote
on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob at facebook
page is Nerdy Gossip and be sure to check back
tomorrow to hear at your results. A misty, where are
you working on that?
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Well?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
One of my favorite performers, Paula Abdullal, and the former
American Idol producer Nigel Liscow, have reached a settlement in
a lawsuit where she accused him of sexually assaulting her
during her time as a judge on the show in
the early two thousands. Now, neither party disclosed the terms
of the agreement.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Now.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Paula went on to say, I'm grateful that this chapter
has successfully come to a close and is now something
that I can put behind me. This has been a
long and hard fought personal battle. I hope my experience
can inspire other women facing similar struggles to overcome their
challenges with dignity and respect. Now, Nigel did have a
(06:58):
response to this. He hasned the allegation and he released
his own statement. He said, we live in a troubling
time where a person is now automatically assumed to be
guilty until proven innocent, a process that can take years.
Rob This is a tricky one, and you know when
(07:19):
we get into those legal stories, they you know they settled,
which means that there's no we don't know. We don't
know how the case ended. We just know that there
was a settlement made.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
It's a complicated one, isn't it. My sources are telling
me that Nigel's career is pretty much destroyed from this.
He had to step back as a judge on so
you think you can dance? Remember when we bumped into
him at Joe Allen's who was there with Kat Dealey.
I went to school with Kat. I've known Nigel a
long time and I represented Paula. I was Paula's publicist
for a bit. She's a lot of fun. She's wacky
(07:55):
and funny, but she's in on the joke. I really
enjoyed Paula. If you're listening, Galolo, this one is so
complicated in the world of celebrities and legal ears, when
you adopt a settlement, we genuinely think, for rightly or wrongly,
that you're guilty, that you're just paying Paula off, or
(08:15):
you're paying somebody off for this to disappear. But I
think the damage is done here. I wonder what's going
to happen. Moving forward to Nigel. I could see him
working again in show business behind the scenes. I could
see him creating a new show. He's a TV genius.
This is the guy that brought us American Idol. He
changed American TV. So I could see him coming up
with a concept for another show and he will be
(08:37):
able to sell it. Hollywood liked success, but I doubt
we're ever going to see him on camera again. He
enjoyed being on camera. He started behind the scenes and
slowly he came to the forefront, and then he became
a celebrity. When we saw him out and about in
New York Mystery, he was like a star. He wasn't
Simon Cowell, he wasn't Paula, but people did know him,
and so I think we will see him return to TV.
(08:59):
I just don't think we'll see his face on TV
very soon.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Yeah, I would agree with you on that.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I'd actually gone to so you think you can dand
several times on several occasions, and then backstage and interviewed
him and it was evident that he enjoyed he does
being on camera. But if he wants to stay adjacent
to the entertainment industry, he can create things. Now, whether
(09:26):
you'll hear his name, it'll be kept very quiet. I mean,
of course it'll get out because people cover who are
behind the shows, and it might take a little while
before that happens again. And maybe he'll go back and
produce things in England.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah maybe. I was on British TV a couple of
days ago talking about this. So this is a story
that is certainly big over there too. Okay, this story
made me made me really smile. It was so interesting.
Ryan Reynolds is talking about he's really getting real about
his kid's privileged upbringing, saying it's not that burden to carry.
(10:01):
So Ryan has four children with Blake Lively, and they
started their lives, both Blake and Ryan as working class folks.
That's what they said. And they said they try to
impress impose those differences about their childhood to the childhood
that their kids have now. And he said that it's
(10:23):
not their burden, this is not their bag of rocks
to carry, but he does want to instill gratitude and
empathy in his children. It's so interesting, Misty, because these
two are superstars. They have a ton of money. The
lives that they're giving their kids are very different to
the lives that they had. However, their upbringing, one could argue,
(10:45):
led to their success. They wanted to succeed. You don't
want to give you kids everything because then they don't
have to do it themselves. You never think of it
as a burden. I was not very wealthy growing up.
We weren't poor, but we certainly were not wealthy, and
I never really thought about money. But I could imagine
if I was a parent worrying that I was going
(11:07):
to spoil my kids, and they just got everything they wanted.
It's a fascinating conversation that he's having.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yes, well, I can say that I actually had the
opportunities to see Ryan Reynolds and his children just a
week or so ago when I went to a Wicked screening,
so he and his wife Lively, brought the children. The
daughters were in red shoes, so was mommy. And what
was interesting is they the parents did the red carpet,
(11:35):
took pictures with the cast, Cynthia Rivo and Ariana Grande,
but they wait until everybody, all.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
The camera men were gone.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Then they allowed their children to come home a step
and repeat to take pictures for themselves. So they didn't
have the children take pictures with the cast when all
the paparazzi was there. And I just have to put
in that I talked to the entire cast who had
read my article cover story for Ebany and Cynthia Rivo,
and they all loved it.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
It was great.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
Pat on the back to me, but absolutely, but it was.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Really interesting that they waited, and you know, they were
talking to people, and I think they were trying to
there were a lot of other children at the screening
as well, so I think they were trying to say, oh,
we're at the screening, there are other kids, and saw
an opportunity for our family to be out, but also
trying to keep like, we know we're celebrities, but We're
not going to put them on the carpet until after,
(12:25):
just so they have a picture.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
I took one.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Too, Yeah you did. It's adorable.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I think it's smart. It's what Harry and Megan are doing.
Isn't it that their kids are enjoying this amazing lifestyle
that their parents can give them access to, but at
the same time they do have some privacy there. So
I love that Ryan and Blake got there and did
photos on the carpet, and then after the press left,
the kids jumped out the car and then they did
their photographs, probably for their friends at school or their
(12:51):
photo albums. Just beautiful. Okay, quickly before we get a break.
Lisa Kudreau is making some waves in Hollywood. Now, normally
she's not the most controversial act ture. She's not the
most controversial person. She doesn't get that political. But she's
really really coming forward to say that AI artificial intelligence
is really bad for actors. What does she have to say?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Well, Lisa Kudro isn't holding back when it comes to
Tom Hanks in his new movie Here So the Friend's
actress recently criticized the movie, which uses de aging technology
to show Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, who are both
starring in the movie as a couple as younger versions
of themselves. And she's saying it's an endorsement for AI.
(13:32):
And she basically said all I got was this was
an endorsement. So now Lisa expressed her concerns over how
such advancements could impact opportunities for new talent, questioning what
will the work be for human beings now? The use
of AI and D aging technology has been a hot
topic in Hollywood, with many actors and creators voicing fears
(13:54):
over its potential to replace traditional artistry.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
So what do you think.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
I mean, We've seen movies through the time where actors
have kind of been deaged and the technology has gotten
better and better. And I think that creatives want to
show how they utilize technology to tell stories.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
But is this a good thing? Is it a bad thing?
Or can we just grow with it?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
We can make it a good thing, we can make
it a bad thing. We have to decide. So what
I think is important here is that Tom Hanks was
not put out of work because of this process. In fact,
being needed Tom to make him look younger. So as
an actor, he's still got the job. So moving forward,
the fear is we're not going to need actors at all,
and we will almost be like animation. It can all
(14:39):
be computer generated. That is something that will have a
massive impact, and it's something that should be thought about carefully,
and I think the Union is really thinking about that,
and Lisa too. I think it's very important to not
necessarily do this for yourself. She's so wealthy from friends,
she doesn't need to work ever again. But younger actors,
people that are starting out in the business, it must
(15:00):
be very frightening to know, or to even suspect will
there be a job for me in five ten years.
The business is changing. One I do know that is
blaming technology never helps the world changes. We're going to
have new technology as a society. We just have to
learn how to deal with that in a way that
(15:21):
still makes sure people have dignity. So I'm glad that
she's brought it up, but it isn't quite as easy
as just blaming Tom Hanks. Okay, we're going to take
a quick break and we will be right back. Welcome
back to the Naughty but Nicer I'm your host, Robstuda
with my dear friend to Lady Dickson. Hey, mister you,
let's get to the polls. Last year we talked about
Prince William revealing their Christmas plans with the Royal family,
(15:45):
saying there's going to be forty five people forty five
on the guest list. Our question was is that too many?
I like it when there's just you and me, if
I'm honest, mystery, Like if we're having a drink at Pottinas,
I like a one on one, maybe three possibly, But
then I cut off the table because what happens if
then if there's five or six people, you don't have
one conversation. You will have little conversations, like side conversations.
(16:08):
So I'm a big fan on small tables. Forty five
is way too big for me. Let's look eighty five
percent noughties. You agree, you said it is too many. Hey,
don't forget to vote on today's pole. Got a Twitter
page at Naughty Nice Rob. A Facebook page is Naughty Gossip.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
And be sure to check back to my rout.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I hear your results and now I love this. And
nicess of.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
The day, well, our nicest of the day is Wendy
Williams because she's been seen for the first time since
her guardian claims she's been permanently incompacitated to your early
onset dementia. So now, the fifty nine year old former
talk show icon was spotted smiling in the backseat of
a black SUV as she picked up on an order
(16:53):
from sure Enough Oysters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Now she
was accompanied by her nephew trap that's good. Earlier this year,
her court aparting guardian you know, spark concern saying that
her early onset dementia was making it that she could
no longer handle her personal affairs due to her condition.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
And it's just.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Good to see her out to save her with family,
to see her smiling, and so that's why she's the
nicest of the day, and she's maybe the warmest of
the day being in Florida.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Absolutely, I've got a soft spot for Wendy Williams. I've
known her forever. We've I've dragged you into the Wendy
world in a little way, Christy, and so I really
like her, and this breaks my heart, but I do
love she's with her family. I love she's smiling. She
owes us nothing if she never works a day in
her life, ever again, that is fine with me. I
just want Wendy to be happy, and seeing her sitting
(17:45):
in the back of that suv warmed my heart. Mistery
and fans were screaming, how you doing, Wendy, and she
was like, hello, Hello. She just wants to be sort
of recognized. When we last went out with her, Misty,
she loved people coming up and saying I like you
or your show. Wendy was sending you nothing but the best, Okay,
I noticed the day naughty, naughty, noughty. Prince Andrew is
involved in another scandal, Prince Andrew. So King Charles is
(18:09):
livid with his brother Prince Andrew for allegedly allegedly employing
being involved with a Chinese spy. So the British Secret
Service have linked Andrew to a Chinese Communist Party spy.
These two were friends. People are worrying now that this
is a serious, serious breach of national security. Andrew, what
(18:34):
are they going to do with him? Obviously, the last
time he was in hot water was with Jeffrey Epstein.
Now with this Chinese spy, the company you keep naughties like,
let me be honest, Let's make this about us, not him.
The company you keep. Let's end with a moment of
Rob rub a Rubb you got Rob. I love the
following quote. Every story has a beginning, a middle, and
(18:57):
an end, but not necessarily in that order. Sometimes you
might feel like you're in the middle of your story
right now, or maybe the beginning of a new story,
or maybe at the end of a story. My story.
Our lives are all jumbled up. They're not they're not
a book, they're not a novel.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
They're life.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
And life can be messy, and so instead of trying
to have one straight line, enjoy the curves, go with
the flow. This might be the ending right today, or
it might be the beginning, and either way all is good. Hey,
that is it for today. Thank you so much for
listening to the noy but Nice with Rob and Miss
d show, a production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe
(19:36):
on the iHeartRadio app Apple podcast wherever you listen, leave
us a review if you can. They really do help
and remember all together now, if you're going to be naughty,
nice
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Nice happening right now
