Speaker 1 (00:09):
Advice for sure. It's Laura Love Love Love No, Welcome
to the naughty but nice. Sha'm your host, rub Shooter.
And it is Thursday. I love Thursdays. I love Thursdays
for many reasons. One of them is our dear friend
Mark Lupo joins us, Hey, Loopy, are you there? Loopy?
Lou is here? Hey, leepyly lister up with the show.
(00:33):
Got to tell the gossip to get to What time
is it? My friends? It is tea time. Big story
at the top of the show. Everybody's talking about this.
It's really blown up. There's reporting out there that William
vows to strip Megan Markle of a hr H title
when he becomes the king. So William is allegedly gearing
up to make sure they drop that title. We found
(00:53):
out that Megan is using this title again. The Queen
asked her not to. Let's be clear here. The Queen said,
you can be the Duke and the duchess, but you
can't be h r H. Now for people that don't
know H, what that means is his royal highness or
her royal highness. So the Queen was HRH. Charles is HRH,
William is HRH. If you leave the family as a
(01:16):
working member, you don't really keep that title. When Diana
got divorced, she lost her HRH. However, when Fergie Sarah
Ferguson got divorced, she kept hers. So there is a
little bit of flexibility here. So Meghan never technically lost it,
but she was asked by the Queen not to use
it to sell stuff, to promote stuff. You're still a HRH,
(01:38):
but just drop it a little bit. You can keep
in your duchess titles, but don't use that. Well. Meghan
recently did a podcast and after doing the podcast it
was a great show, she sent a little thank you note.
Very nice. Well the person she sent it to, and
this is a little cheeky of the person, although I
do the same. If you get a note from a
celebrity or Megan Moncle, you're going to take a screen
(01:59):
grab and put it on so media. So she took
the screen grab of the flowers and the notes and
she posted it. What a lovely surprise to get this
from Megan. If you look closely on the letterhead in
beautiful in bold letters, this is fancy printing mark. This
is not cheap stuff. This is a fancy printer, It
(02:19):
says hr H. Megans, isn't it? Well, I hit the
phonies and I said, of course she's using it. And
she didn't buy just one note card. When you buy
note cards, you buy like one hundred or five hundred
or maybe one thousand. So she didn't just get one
note card. She's got a box of these note cards
and she does send them out. She loves a thank
you note and they're all HRH. Well, now the Daily
(02:41):
Beast is reporting William is going to change that. However,
this is where it gets complicated. William does not have
the power to do that. For them to lose their titles,
it has to go through Parliament. So the British government,
not the royals, not the monarchy, they have to sign
off on this. Now, the feeling towards Meghan and Harry
(03:02):
in Britain at the moment is so negative. I would
guess the politicians would would say yes. And so this
is a little bit tricky here. I think it's about
getting caught. You know, you're not meant to do something
you've said many many times how bad this family is.
I get that, Megan. I like Meghan here. I don't
want this to turn into a bashing Meghan segment. But
(03:24):
if you agree not to do it, if the Queen
asks you, come on, it's the queen. If the Queen
asks you not to do something, don't do it. I
hate when I try and be sneaky because I always fail.
I always get caught, and I've done it many times.
I'm a very snaky person, but it never actually works out. Mark,
I always get caught. So you're Meghan Markel. You are
(03:45):
the Duchess of Sussex. You don't even need that hr h.
You are who you are. You're fabulous. Everybody in the
world knows you. Everybody has an opinion about you. Just
drop it.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
What do you think, Mark, Yeah, I think this is
a nuance. So you know, in Meghan's the she wasn't
selling anything by writing a thank you note a to
a podcaster. This was meant to be a private correspondence
and the podcaster happened to put it on the internet
and now we all know about it. However, I do
think this feels like a bit of like cosplay, like
making You know, you've told those many times that you
(04:16):
don't want to be a part of the family. They
were horrible to you. That you were not interested in,
you know, being associated in certain ways, and now it's
like the hih title and now you're you know, correcting
people on your talk show. And so I get a
little bit confused because it's it's the wanting it both ways,
which is a theme we talk about almost a weekly
in this podcast, and it's like you just can't have
it both ways, you know. And I think to your point, Rob,
(04:38):
yes there was. I think someone did draft a bill
in Parliament to try to, you know, make this a
possibility for William to take it away. But I think
the bigger thing is is that William it's a petty
shots fired letting them know you need to stop this
behavior or else.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yes, I'm told the palace is already fired off. I
don't want to say a legal letter, but a correspondence, yeah,
suggesting that she doesn't continue using this hr ah. What's
really interesting to me though, Marcus, you are right, this
isn't on the labels of her JAM. It doesn't say
HRH Meghan markl JAM. This is a private, private correspondent. However,
(05:15):
what you do in private often reveals more about you
than what you do in public. My private texts, my
private emails reveal more about me than my sub stack
or my Twitter, so that that's very public, and so
what you do in private is a real insight into
your world. I really went deep on this yesterday. I
(05:37):
called every Megan person, some really good sources, some not
so good, but they do know her, and they said
that the reason this is all so ugly is she
really wanted to be a princess. She absolutely hit the jackpot.
She got what she wanted, and then it didn't quite
turn out to be exactly what she thought it was
going to be. But she really does enjoy being her
(05:59):
Royal Highness, the Duchess of Sussex. Recently we saw this
at Gypsy. You were there that night, Gypsy the musical
on Broadway. She turned up with four cars like her
Entourfronte was excessive. Taylor Swift, just to put it in perspective,
has one car Beyonce, maybe two Jloh who's not easy,
(06:19):
maybe too in a bicycle for her cyclist, but not
for and so I think Megan really really loves this,
and I'm not knocking off for that. If I was
a prince or a princess, my goodness, I would make
you use the HRH title RETI remember Sarah Ferguson. So
I know Sarah a little bit and we email each other,
(06:40):
and when you with Sarah, she's always like, just call
mess Sarah, Just call mess Sarah. Then she can just
turn and like why are you not calling me hrh?
Like she wants it like both ways and down and
best friends of you. But then she she reminds me
pretty quick that she's HRH, which brings us to our
pole question of the day. Prince William is saying that
(07:01):
he would like to strip make Amarkle of her titles
when he is the king. However, he probably can't do this.
In fact, he can't do it without parliament. Do you
think the parliament? Do you think the politicians will go
along with this? It's not the King's choice, it's the politicians.
Is she going to lose her titles? Hey? Go vote
(07:22):
on that Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob our Facebook
pages Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow
to hear your results. Hey, Loopy, let you work it on.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Okay, So Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey are still so
in love? Good spake growing rumors and it's Separate Nights out.
So after weeks of swirling fans speculation, sources close to
the Power couple are shutting down break up buzz. They're
saying they're still so in love and enjoying spending time
(07:56):
together with their friends and each other in the off season.
There's no trouble at all now. Rob Swift was last
spotted out with Kelsey in March, and the NFL star
was recently seen living up in Miami in Vegas with
his brother and justin Timberlake, and Swift, for her part,
was flying under the radar a Gigi Hadid's thirtieth birthday
party in New York's spending some gold time. The source
(08:17):
one to say that they're both just living their lives.
They don't need to be glued at the hip twenty
four to seven to be solid.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
What do you think, Oh, they're together, you know, I
think this is really really sweet. So we've seen them
do separate things, We've seen him do separate things. That
doesn't mean you break up. Sometimes. I think people are
a little bit perplexed by my relationship with Bruce. I
do things with Bruce and then I do things with
my friends. I'm not We're not the couple that have
to do everything together. You're not like that with Kevin.
You do your things, he has his life. I think
(08:44):
this is perfectly fine here they're absolutely together. So any
room we should going to hear that they've broken up,
that there's trouble in paradise. It's just not true. It's clickbait.
People want to get your views, but it's not true.
Very very much together, and I think this should be
seen as a positive, not a negative. They know they're overexposed.
(09:07):
Taylor Swift is not only a magnificent musician, She's the
best publicist I've ever met. She's so good at this.
She's so good at doing little secret songs, little easter eggs,
teasing us. She knows exactly when to turn the tap
on and when to turn it off. People like j
Lo I think they never turn it off, and we
(09:28):
get a little bored of them. Taylor disappears, She absolutely disappears,
and it's another little insight into celebrities. Arguably one of
the most famous people in the world, Taylor Swift, she
can disappear. I've worked with celebrities when they don't want
to be seen, mark they're not seen. When celebrities are
like Oh, I'm being chased and being followed. I'm like,
(09:48):
you're wearing a Versati dress that I can see ya boobs,
I mean, what did you think, Jennifer? You went to
the supermarket in the full fur coat, like you're gonna
You're gonna be noticed. Jennifer Amiston is the queen of this.
When she wants to be spotted, she goes to the
Sunset Towers and she's spotted when she doesn't want to
be seen. I dare you to try and find a
(10:09):
photograph of Jennifer this week. There aren't any. She doesn't
play that game. You know, celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Jlo
Paris Hilton, they play a different game the Real Housewives.
I'm not judging which game to play, but there is
a game to play here, and you decide what type
of game you are going to play. And Taylor's decided,
(10:30):
I want the spotlight on me when I'm out there performing,
when I'm selling records, but when I'm not, I'm going
to take it back a notch. So I'm told my
sources tell me Dan, expect to see these two on
red carpets. Don't expect to see them even at charity events.
Taylor is very very much laying low at the moment,
which makes me believe she's going to have a big project.
(10:53):
She knows when to use her celebrity. Good for the
you two, Okay, this story, I love sir. Selina gomes
I said no thanks to the first dan at her
wedding with Benny. So it's traditional, after your head down
the aisle at the party, you'd do a first dance.
It's really quite quite a lovely moment. However, it can
be a little awkward because you were meant to be
(11:13):
the only two on the dance floor, so nobody else dances,
just the bride and the groom, or the two grooms
or the two brides. Look how liberal we are here
on the naughty butsure everyone includes here. So they have decided,
or she has decided that there's just too many eyes
on her and she's like, no thanks, she said, I'm
just not into it. So, although she's really really famous
(11:35):
in her private life, Selena is quite quiet. I know
people who have been out for drinks with her, and
there's been five or six of them. She's not the
star of the table. She doesn't overtalk. It's not the
Selena Show. When she's not performing, she's quite happy taking
a back role.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
I don't think any bride ever takes a back role
at their wedding. But you decide what's right for you.
You know, if you don't want a cake, don't get it,
you don't want to dance, don't do a dance. It's
your day. And I love that she's she's following to heart,
she's making her own rules, and she's doing, ultimately what
makes her feel comfortable. What do you think.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
I love this. You know, I have a few friends
who've gotten married over the last few years, and some
marketting married now, and there's so much pressure to I think,
cater to the parents and the you know, the people
who are paying for this wedding, and sometimes you get
lost in your own wedding, yes, and you don't get
to enjoy it that you want to enjoy it. And
they love that she's taking the power in creating this
moment that she wants. She's having the day that she wants,
(12:35):
and she deserves that. In any bride or groom who's
paying for a wedding or even just being a part
of it, this is about you, and this is not
about other people and their expectations. So I think it's fabulous.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Do you think LiPo will have a first dance? When
you say I.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Do, listen when if I get married, I do not
want the pomping circumstance of a wedding. I just don't care.
I think it's a huge waste of money and I
would be no listen, I would be perfectly happy go
into a courthouse and I think a dinner or something.
I just don't care.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I really don't. It's not yes, it's not. But what
about your mummy Doris. Well, Doris want a big loopoe moments.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
She loves a moment, but I think she would want
me to be happy.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Jonathan's he's not a big.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Showpon your brother, I mean his wedding, he did not have.
I don't think he had a first dance. I don't
think it was. We didn't do many like the traditional things.
He's shut.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
He's very shay, he's a very shot. Oh, mine is
like a Kardashian. We're doing. I had several foot but
I did have a first dance. But I did have
a first I'm quite traditional, though. I think one of
the surprising things about me Mark is I'm a very
traditional person, I very old fashioned sort of values. I'm
quite quite approved if be told, and so do what's
(13:43):
right for you. Okay, quickly, before we go to break
heartbreaking news about Michael Bolton. We haven't spoken about him
in a long time, but he's on the cover of
People magazine revealing his cancer battle. What's what's happening?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
So sad? So it raw. An emotional interview with People,
the Gramming winning singer revealed that he was diagnosed with
the devastating and aggressive form of brain cancer in December
twenty twenty three, were just days before the holidays. Baltimore
underwent two brain surgeries in the span of a month,
and the second in January twenty twenty four after a
post up infection. Now, these followed are grueling rounds of
(14:19):
radiation and chemotherapy, and he confirmed that he wrapped up
treatments in October and continues to go undergo MRIs every
two months. And his scan most recently came back in
April as clear, and he admitted that he has you know,
it's impacted his short term memory, his speech, his mobility,
and he says that this won't define him, but it
is his next chapter. You know, I find this to
(14:41):
be totally heartbreaking. This is a terrible, terrible diagnosis, heartbreaking.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
It's such an amazing story. I poured over it yesterday.
I couldn't I couldn't put it down. He just did
seem to have disappeared. He was always on tour, he
was always doing shows, some sort of like always in
the conversation, in the background, but around and then disappeared.
Now we know why. He looks great to the photographs
on on the cover of People and the inside looked
(15:05):
fantastic and a really really touching story. He's fortunate enough
to have a lot of money and resources and power
to get great medical care. But nevertheless, this is a really,
really tough one. We're sending you our best. Okay, We're
going to take a quick break and we'll be right back.
Welcome back to the naughty, put nice, shabby headstrop Shooter
(15:27):
with her dear friend Mark Lupi Haley By. Let's get
to the pills. So, last show we talked about Beyonce
is Cowboy Carter tour not selling out and at the
last minute ticket prices were reduced. I should point out
she did sell seventy thousand. She's doing four nights in
a seventy thousand stadium. It's a lot of up seats.
(15:48):
Out of that seventy thousand, there was about four thousand
that were not sold. Surprising. Yes, I totally get it.
I'm sure it's disappointing, but this wasn't a disaster. I've
been to shows that should have probably been canceled, like
I've felt there were more people on the stage than
in the audience at some of the shows I've been to.
(16:09):
This wasn't that. And I'm told that anybody in the
stadium once the lights go down and the show starts,
it sounds full. Sixty five thousand people with their cheering,
it's a lot of people. So I just want to
give Beyonce that little bit of grace. But you would
think someone like Beyonce these tickets would be thousands of
dollars and really hard to get in, Like Taylor Swift.
That didn't happen. So my question was is it fair
(16:30):
to reduce the ticket prices in the last minute If
you paid full price and someone sitting next to you
who paid twenty dollars, is that fair? Sixty percent said no,
it's not fair. It's so interesting. I'd be I'd be annoyed.
But it's a gamble, isn't it. It's the gamble. I
(16:51):
did not buy the dollar tickets this around marks. They
were too expensive of like one thousand dollars twenty four
hours before the show. We got them for like sixty
They were cheap. Write to the last minute. But if
you waite to the last minute, you don't get tickets.
Don't blame me. Don't forget to vote on today's poul.
Go to our Twitter page I Naughty nis for Facebook

maraw to hear your results. And now it's time for
nicest of the day.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Oh bon Jovi's love still lives thirty six years strong
after his chooting bombskin okay, so, the six two year
old rock legend celebrated thirty six years of marriage to
his high school sweetheart Dorothya Hurly, making the milestone with
a sentimental social media tribute, just one year after publicly
(17:41):
admitting he had been unfaithful. He wrote, he captured the
post thirty six roses for thirty six amazing years. Happy anniversary,
my love Rob. The photo also included a floral display
and a sweet throwback of a couple from their early days.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
I used to work for John Bonche, their publicist. I'd
go on tour with him. It was amazing how many
people women threw themselves at him. I'm not making that
as an excuse, but he does love his wife. They've
had issues. He has not been a prince. He has
talked about this, but they are still together and we
can celebrate. We can celebrate thirty six years and nicest
(18:19):
after the day. And now I noticed the day naughty, naughty, naughty,
woh Blake Lively skipped to Gigi Hadeed's thirtieth thirty party,
So Blake was not there. She is in New York,
so she could have gone Bradley Cooper through this big party.
Blake was not there. Some people are saying to me,
was she even invited? Now we know Taylor Swift was
there too, so she's snuck in. So is this a
(18:40):
little bit more drama? I would say, yes, it is
Blake Lively. I noticed of the day last with a
moment of rob you rob, you get a rub, You
get a rub. It feels it feels scary because it's new,
not because you can't handle it. Stepping out of your
comfort zone will always make you feel uncomfortable, and that's
(19:00):
the point. But don't mistake fear for inability. You're not
scared because you are incapable. You were scared because it's
just simply unfamiliar. Growth feels like fear at first, it
really does. But on the other side of fear, what
do you find? You find confidence, strength, and expansion. So
(19:21):
take that first step. Feel the nerves, but do it anyway,
because you can handle this, and you always could. You
can do this. Sometimes I get frightened Mark, and I
realize I'm not frightened because I don't have the skill
to do it. I'm just frightened because it's new. I
can do it. I can do it. Take that first step. Hey,
(19:42):
that is eat for today. Thank you so much for
listening to the Naughty Bit Nice with Rob and Mark
show a production of Ihearish Radio and Elvis Durant. Oh,
I'm gonna be on Elvis's show tomorrow morning. So I
go on obviously show now once a week or once
every other week, twice a month to do gossip. I've
got lots of gossip for everybody, and also to promote
(20:03):
our podcast, So thank you for having me. So if
you're around tomorrow morning, I think I'm on around at
eight point thirty in the morning, so try and listen
to that and remember, let me hear you all together now,
if you're going to be naughty, you get to be
let me hear you nice, take care of everybody. S
(20:23):
got even nice with Rom
