Speaker 1 (00:09):
Advice.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Welcome through the North of Annihaw. I'm your host, and
it is Tuesday, which means surday. Friend Elena Dixon Joyce
is home as day. Are you there?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
I am? And I had the most amazing celebrity encounter
on Sunday. I ran into Jordan Fisher. He's starring in
Sweeney Todd. I wrote about him for an article in Ebony,
so I introduced myself. He was so sweet. My picture
is on Instagram at Delana Dixon. He gets to see
my short hair. Go check it out.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
He is adorable, isn't he? I saw Sweeney Todd. It's
so good, so good. Annelie Ashker Ah, she's amazing. You know.
I think I voted for Jordan on Dancing with the Stars.
Was he on Dancer with.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
I believe he was? And he's so talented.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah yeah, and then he did Evan Hansen a nice
Sweetey Todd you get his number?
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Mistake, Well, he's a married man and his baby's turning
one in June. But a little young for Missnee.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
M's tough? Is that never the case? I don't know. Okay,
what time is it? My friends time? Big story at
the top of the show, kind of a shocking story.
So Scarlett Johansson was literally laughing recalling her marriage to
Ryan Reynolds. So Scarlet had a good friendly Let's be
clear here, it's a friendly laugh while talking about her
(01:28):
marriage to Ryan Reynolds in a new interview with Gwyneth Paltrow.
Nobody else could get away with this. Whenever you interview Scarlet,
she's tough, her team are tough. If you bring up
Ryan Reynolds or anything she doesn't, you're throwing out of
the interview. They can't kick Gwenneth out. So Gwenneth, that's
what I love about stars interviewing stars. They can ask
questions that real reporters, mister you and I would never
(01:51):
get away with. So Gwyneth said to Scarlet, you've been
married two times? Three times. Then Gwyneth added, oh, that's right,
three times. I forgot you were married to Ryan Reynolds.
Then Scarlet started to giggle and said, yes, we weren't
married very long before Gwyneth jumped in and said, it's
(02:12):
still cants. Then Gwyneth, who's still pushing this, I love it.
She's like the new Andy Cohen. She said, we love
a good Ryan Reynolds In our home. I agree, and
then Scarlett giggled a little bit and ultimately she said
he's a good guy, and that wrapped up the conversation
about those But that's the most she's ever really said
about him. They were married from two thousand and eight
(02:35):
to two thousand and eleven and she was just twenty
three years old when they tied the knot after their split,
she married a French journalist and now she's married to
Colin jos And when she was talking to Gwyneth, she
said that her past relationships actually helped her get where
she used today, so they weren't bad. They really gave
(02:57):
her a compass, a lighthouse, because she said, through those
relationships that did not work out, she actually found the
formula of a relationship that would work for her. And Misty,
do you know what the essential ingredients is in that formula? Scarlet?
She said, the person needs to be compassionate. Compassionate.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Very interesting. Well, I do remember her marriage to Ryan
Reynolds because I'm a big Ryan fan, and I can't
say that I was disappointed when they ended it. I'm
just gonna say that was your starter marriage, Scarlet. And
you know what, third times a charm. Colin seems like
a wonderful guy. So I think you got it right
for you this time. And her first marriage, she got
(03:41):
married young. I think you learn, you grow, you know
what you're looking for, and so I hope that this
one lasts. I like the two of them together's college.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I like to who would you pick, Misty? Would you
pick Ryan Reynolds?
Speaker 1 (03:55):
No, no, no, I would pick Ryan Reynolds. But I
do like Colin jo just but no. Have you seen
Ryan Reynolds's arms in a movie?
Speaker 2 (04:02):
He could pick up a clutch. I saw him about
a year ago. It's opening night of Hugh Jackman's The
Music Man on Broadway, and I was invited, and Ryan
and Hugh are really good friends. And he was just
sort of sitting in the audience by himself, and I
was like, who's that cute skinny boy? And he had
dass his arm because he's going to watch the theater. And
I was like, oh my goodness, it's Ryan Reynolds. In person,
(04:22):
he's too thin, so camera adds about ten pounds. I think,
so when you see him on TV or in the film,
he looks amazing. But I got in person really really thin.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
I mean that doesn't really bother me. I've actually listened
to him speak, and he's a little bit very much
like you see. He's very self deprecating. He can laugh
at himself, and I think he knows the secret to
his success is that it's Ryan Reynolds playing Ryan Reynolds
playing her role and instance, he's in on the joke.
And he does so many other things, marketing and production.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
And didn't he sell his production company or a company
for a billion dollars? Like yeah, for super success. Old
as good as an actor. He is a friend of
mine who is in the business said, he's a businessman,
right businessman, and the acting allows him to sell his businesses.
The acting allows him to do all the business stuff.
(05:15):
But if you asked Ryan what he was, he wouldn't
say an actor. He would say a businessman. Kul chinkachinkachin.
Caleb brings us to Apple question of the day. Scarlet
Johansson literally laughed haha while recalling her marriage to Ryan
Reynolds in an interviewer, was this sweet or was it shady?
What do you think shady or was it sweet? Go
(05:39):
vote on a Twitter page at naughty Nice wrong, But
at Facebook page is naughty your ambisa, check back to
morrow to hear your results. He mister, let me working on.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Well, not everyone can put their hands on Pete Davidson,
so he let a fellow Knicks fan know that he
has to keep his hands to himself. So they were
basically at a New York basketball game at Madison Square
Garden and one guy got a little too close to Pete,
the former SNL star, So basically, this guy you've been
(06:13):
watching this video. The guy was wearing some a pink
polo shirt a next cap and he put his arm
around Pete and Pete was taking a selfie with a
different fan. So Pete then shoved the man. They exchanged
some words before Pete returned to snapping photos with other
less handsy people. I mean, Rob, sometimes people want to
(06:37):
take a picture with you, and I've seen some hands
been put on you.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
How do you feel about it? I love a hand
all over me. If you see me, please stop me.
It makes my day, I know. On Saturday night, I
was out at our favorite restaurant, Fresco by Scottos and
a couple of people in the and the restaurant recognized
me from TV and we took pictures and I loved it.
I must admit, though, when you do see a celebrity,
it happens to me all the time. And I see
somebody that's really famous, to somebody that I really like,
(07:02):
I want to give them like a huger. I want
to touch them, and you shouldn't do that. You can't
do that. They are people, They're not robots, they're not property,
even though they're really really famous. The first time I
met Angelina Jolee, I was so giddy I wanted to
like squeeze her, which would have been harassment. Let me
be clear here. Yeah so, but in my mind, mister,
(07:24):
I actually literally you know sometimes when you have a
conversation with your own head, I was like, Rob, Shooter,
don't you touch Angelinajo. Don't you don't Rob, And my
hand was getting closer and closer to her. I just
wanted to hug her. What about you, mistery, I know
that you've interviewed a lot of celebrities who if you
wanted to just give that little squeeze to.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Well, let me turn it around and say when I
have to make sure that celebrities don't touch me, because
I have been in that situation before with a couple
of Hansy gentlemen celebrities, So basically, I've I had one
asked me to do a twirl because they liked my sheep.
And I had another tell me that it's a good
thing that he was married, because if he wasn't, he'd
(08:09):
probably try to take me into a back room right now.
So but I am a proper lady and I know
professional journalist. No, I don't kiss. Maybe once or twice,
you tell.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
But you don't kiss. That's so funny. Yeah, keep your
hands to yourself. When you see a celebrity, you ask
and they most of them will be happy to take
a picture. Hey, moving along. Rachel White and Daniel Craig.
I love this couple. I'm such a James Bond fan.
They have a daughter and they very very rarely do press.
They never talk about their relationship. But Rachel is doing
(08:44):
some interviews to support her latest project, and she said
they had to tell their daughter that the movie Star
Wars was broken because they wanted to avoid watching it again.
So Rachel wise, she has never seen Star Wars, but
her daughter and her husband, Daniel Craig Double O seven
(09:05):
have gotten very very close to a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
The actress revealed that her five year old daughter is
obsessed with the film, so much so that Daniel Daniel
had to say it's broken, and she's obsessed with it.
She wants to know the mythology. She wants to know
what Dark Vader looks like without his mask. And he
(09:27):
had to say to her, I just think it's all
too much, it's too intense. So they decided to actually
tell her Star Wars is broken. It just makes me laugh. Misty,
do you think do you think that he would ever
show her one of the James Bond movie or too young?
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Too five years old, she's a little young for that.
I mean Star Wars you have all these gidgets and
gadgets boo boop, so it's kind of fun for a kid.
I know my nephews are in it, and I certainly
understand how they feel. We've had on puppy dog Pals
and Big Six and oh when they were a little
Coco Melon way too much. So at a certain point
you have to be like, oh, I don't I don't
(10:03):
think the internet's working. But they're so smart. Now you
really know.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
A friend, that mutual friend Fiano, She was a publicist
here in New York and now she's had a baby
moved back to Greece. She's Greek, and she makes me
laugh because she's not the most cheerful of people, and
she hates musicals and her daughter is a Disney fanatic.
If I have to say the little bum, what more
(10:29):
time you have to do it? Hey? Moving along, Matthew
Perry is admitting that he did something that he really
isn't very proud about and he's gonna make it right.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeah. So basically he wrote that revealing memoir and he
said some things that were very nice about Keanu Reeves.
So he's he's made a public apology. He said, look,
I shouldn't have done it. And what it is is
he basically talks about celebrities who died of a drug overdose.
We're talking about Chris Farley. We were and he said
those people who were my friends are gone and Keanu
(11:03):
Reeves is still alive, which this is so mean. So
he said it was a stupid thing to do. It
was a mean thing to do. Keno lives down the street.
For me, it was the first name that popped in
my head. And he has promised that any future issues
of the book, it will not have these mentions. And
I'm just good not sure. I don't think they've ever
(11:23):
done a movie together, have they what their connection would be?
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Get what the beef is here? But it was a
shocking thing and Keanu Reeves was stunned by it when
the book came out. And the thing here that's difficulty
is somebody who who has a book, it goes through many,
many drafts. It's not I if I did an interview
and I said something stupid, or if I said something
stupid on the podcast. It's spur of the moment, And
I didn't mean for it to be in a book.
(11:48):
You had to write it down, then you had to
approve it, then you had to copy edit it. So
when I was doing my book I've got a my Mystery,
I took out some of the mean things, and so
my first draft had some stuff in there that was true,
but it wasn't very kind. And I made the decision
on draft number three or four, not one or two,
(12:08):
just I didn't need it. I didn't need to make
fun of Ashley Simpson. I didn't need to say something
cruel about one of my sisters. It would hurt their feelings.
And it didn't take anything away from the book to
just edit out three sentences in here. All Matthew had
to do is edit out two words Keanna reeves. You
can talk about friends struggling with addiction, with alcoholism, you
(12:31):
can talk about your own. You don't need to throw
Keanna under the buzz here. So I'm glad that he
is admitting that he made a mistake. That's a big thing, misty.
We know a lot of people that say they ever
want to say they're wrong. So I'm glad that he
admitted it, and I'm glad he's glad he's going to
fix this moving forward. When the book comes out in paperback,
all future printings of the book, this sentence will be gone. Hey,
(12:54):
before we go to break I love this story. Taylor
Swift is getting back a squad. I have to break
up with Joe Allen, so the squad is back. Taylor
is surrounding herself with some very famous people. After her breakup,
she was spotted out in New York City with her Pels,
Blake Live Late Pretty Great, Gigi her Deed, and the
ham Sisters. I love those three ladies. They went to
(13:18):
this private club. I've been here, mister zero Bond. No
photographs are allowed inside that club. It's a members only club.
It costs thousands of dollars to be a member, and
you still have to pay for drinks. So when you
get there, I know. But the good thing, I'm not
a member. So a friend of mine's a member, so
he has to sign me in. I can't go without him,
and if I get there before he arrives, they make
(13:40):
me wait in the lobby. You're not allowed in the club.
So I tell him, once you're there, text me and
I'll come and join you. So he texts me. I
get there, I say my name, he puts me on
the list. I get in the elevator, and then everything
we eat and drink gets charged to his credit card,
so it's a free night out. I can't pay because
I'm not a member. I'm not a wild I'm sure
(14:01):
Taylor doesn't have to worry about this stuff, but I did.
It's a really swaggy New York City club. So they
were at Zerra Bond and then a few nights before
she was spotted having dinner with her real close friends
Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. Oh can you imagine.
Can you imagine? Taylor is said to be moving on
(14:22):
very well since the breakup. Sources are saying she's getting
on with her job. She's on tour at the moment.
That is her focus. But after being with somebody, what
five six years, you do miss them. So I love
that her girlfriends are jumping in here and really providing
that squad. Some critics are saying she's using them and
now that she doesn't have a man anymore, suddenly her
(14:44):
friends are back in her life. That's not true. My
sources tell me they've always been close friends and they
really understood that when she was with her boyfriend it
things are going to be different. She've only got so
many hours, and so this is a really great squad
of friends. They're really looking after a girl, Taylor. I'd
like to think, mister that you me, Cory Loopo Garrett,
(15:09):
we're a good squad too.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
We definitely are, and we have each other's back, and
we might not see each other all the time, but
when we run into each other at parties or we
do our little botinos monthly bi monthly get together, it's
like getting the gang together. And of course remember that
I'm the only girl, and I love that, so I
get to wear the best dress in the bunch.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Absolutely, Hey, we're going to take a quick break and
we will be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty
wand I show. I'm roushot with my dear friend mister
Henry Stley. Let's get to the poll stuff and dodge Mega.
Mikle denied that she was missing the coronation over letters
that she wrote to King Charles. So these letters exploded.
In the letters, she names the royal that questioned remarked
(15:55):
about the skin tone of her little boy Archie. So
these letters exist. Now she's saying that that had nothing
to do with why she's not going to the coronation.
Do you believe her? Seventy percent said no, they do not.
I think if somebody says something about your baby, that's
(16:17):
really hard to move on from. Oh.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Absolutely, you don't want anybody to say bad things about
your children, And even for people that I don't like
when other people talk about their children, I'm like, oh
ho ho, you don't have that right. But I also
just think everything that's happened, it would just be kind
of forced and uncomfortable. You'd be that you'd try to
be polite, but it would be so obvious that you
don't want to be there. This is best for everyone.
(16:42):
As long as his son is there, that's all that matters.
The babies are too young, they're not going to remember,
and when the time is right, they'll beat their grandpa
and it'll be just fine. Chill everybody, It's just the
royal family.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
No biggie words of wisdom. Don't forget to vote on
today's Twitter page at Naughty ice rob a Facebook page
Nordy your say and be sure to check back tomorrow
to hear your results in Now it's time for our
nicest of the day.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Well, if you've been missing modern family, all you have
to do is look at j Lo, Ben Affleck and
Jennifer Garner, because they are the new modern family. They
were all spotted together Jennifer Lopez, Ben with his ex
wife Jennifer in Santa Monica, and they were with them
where the star sons were talking about. Lopez's son is
Mac Similian and Affleck's son, Ben's son Samuel, and everybody
(17:35):
was smiling and chatting and having a good time. Just
goes to show that family comes in very many forms
and as long as there's love and respect there.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
It can work absolutely. I love seeing it inspiration and
now I know he's the naugheteen, naughteen naughty Don Lemon
was fired from CNN and complaining the CNM didn't even
tell him. So Don's been terminated from CNN, just hours
after he ended his morning show. He went on to say, quote,
I was informed this morning by my agent that I
(18:06):
had been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After seventeen
years at CNN, you would have thought that somebody in
management would have the decentcy to call me directly. Now
seeing in a pushing back saying that is not accurate
that there was an opportunity for Don to speak to management,
but he decided not to. Also too, it was a
(18:28):
big day yesterday in firings. Tucker Carlson is out at
Fox News. So Don Lennon is out. Tucker Carlson is
out at Fox News. I know, shocking, shocking, shocking. He
was fired too over the week end, and he wanted
to do a goodbye show on Monday, and they said no.
(18:49):
It's always a tell. When it doesn't end well, you're
right out the door. If it ends well, you get
to say goodbye. It's just a little tip. If you
see one of your favorite anchors disappear from TAS and
they don't give them a little tribute, goodbye did not
end well? Hey, let's end with a moment of rub
you get a Robbie. Why do we hang out with
(19:12):
people we don't really like and why do we hang
out with people that don't really like us? The answer
is simple, because we don't feel important enough to stop it.
You're important, Stop wasting your time. If you're hanging out
with people that don't like you, stop, And if you
(19:34):
were hanging out with people that you don't like stop.
You're important enough to make sure you have a squad
of friends cheering you on and that you were cheering
on too. That is it for today. Thank you so
much for listening to the Naughty but Nice with Robin
miss D show at production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget to
(19:56):
subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts wherever you listen,
and then leave us a review if you can. They
really do help and remember all together now.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
If you're got to mean nice, take care of everybody.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
It's Naughty but Nice with bro
