Speaker 1 (00:08):
Scarable Advice Shog. Hello, welcome to the Naughty but Night Show.
It's Wednesday. I'm Rob Shooter. Joining us every Wednesday is
our friend Donnie. Meet jam from l A. Donnie, are
you there? Allow Low Low, Lower Low. It's I guess
I always say the official start of my week. I'm here.
(00:29):
I'm talking to you in the naties. Lots of gossip
and fun to talk about. It is lots of fun.
Did you die your hair? Do you have a red
streak in it? Or is it the lights in your apartment?
It is the lighting, because you know we do this
podcast at indiscreet time, but it is I have a
red wall outside my apartment. Through lovely I thought you've
(00:50):
got red little dips in your hair. Oh my god,
thought you get all punk rocker like Cindy Laper. You're
look adorable. We do. We do it at an undisclosed time,
they tell us in the world world of podcast Big Bosses,
which were not. But the team tell us that you
shouldn't give away the time that you do it, because
then nobody knows then if it's dated or not dated.
I think the good thing about this show, Donnie, is
(01:11):
because we do this for a living. We really are
gossip reporters. All that stuff is fresh because it's always new,
which brings us to what time it is today, Donnie,
what time is it? It is tea very fresh tea today,
big exclusive at the top of the show. So Dancing
with the Stars, Tyra Banks is at this moment trying
(01:32):
to find a whole new bunch of people to come
and join her on the dance floor. I love that ballroom.
Normally they get athletes, pop singers, dare I say a
little past their prime, even reality stars that might not
quite be on a show at the moment. But they
also do love a controversial celebrity. If you remember Tyrus
(01:56):
first season, they had Carol Basking on from a King.
She got a lot of press. She didn't do so
well in the competition, but she did get a lot
of press. They've had Kate Goslin on, They've had politicians
on before, and that's what brings me to today's story.
The show is split. Should they have on politicians, one
in particular, Kelly and Conway. Her name keeps coming up. Controversial.
(02:22):
Might be a lot of fun on the dancering floor.
I bet she's not a good dancer, but we don't
know that. Would you want her on the show to
get Burr's attention or is this something that would backfire?
Where do you fall on this, Dnnie, I think definitely
having Kelly and Conway is very divisive because she was
a former Trump advisor. And I think when it comes
(02:43):
to anybody who was working with the Trump administration is
at fifty love hate type relationship. And I think, sadly
that's what you want into. But I do think that
I'm a foreign believer in that some people, if not
a lot of people, deserve a second chance or deserve
to have a redeeming quality. And yes, I may not
(03:05):
have agreed with her, you know, political leadings, but you
know she's a mother and she is still a woman
in politics, whether we agree with her or not. So
maybe she is deserving of a second chance a life
after the administration. It's quite a tricky decision on this show.
We decided not to really cover politics at all. We're
a silly gossip show. But Dancing with the Stars like
(03:27):
this show, Like this show they have they have stayed
away from politics, and now it's a really interesting moment,
particularly for somebody like Tyra. Tyra is no fool. I
used to work for Tyra. She knows she does know
how to capture our imagination. I've always enjoyed Dancing with
the Stars. Some people have not enjoyed Tyra joining the show,
(03:48):
but you can't argue that she certainly brought a new freshness,
a new burst factor to it. We're all talking about
it again. I hadn't talked about Dancing with the Stars
for a really long time. This brings us to our
whole question of the day. Do you think Kelly and
Conway should be able to dance? And would you vote
for her? Would you vote for Kelly and Conway and
(04:10):
Dancing with the Stars. Go vote on our Twitter page
at Naughty Nice rob at facebook page is Naughty Gossip
and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
Danny Love, what are you working on? Well? The lovely
actress Kate Hudson. She reveals why she's attracted to musicians,
So she has plenty of you know, she's been around
(04:32):
the black when it comes to MUSICI she hasn't musician. Well,
there was from the Black Crows Chris Robinson, and then
for music was Matt Bellamy. She's currently dating a musician
named Danny fu Chicawa, and what she's saying is basically
what attracted her to these men is that it's music,
and what it is is that music kind of we
(04:54):
feel something when it comes to music, and you can't
even really explain it. We all love music. It can
be different genres of music, country, rap up, it doesn't matter,
but it does make you feel something. So that's kind
of why she's attracted to musicians. And it just made
me wonder. It's like, what is it that attracts you
to people. It's a good question. I like a sense
(05:15):
of humor, I like kindness. I do like handsome too,
I like smart. I worked with Kate for ten minutes
and I went to her apartment where Chris was was there,
Chris Robinson, and I didn't find him at all sexy
in his like T shirts. He might have been in
his pajamas. I remember. It was a very intimate moment
that I felt I was walking into. It was not
(05:36):
a not a good moment to be around. But I
didn't find him that sexy. So it can't just be
musicians for me. Although Bruce, my husband's a songwriter, so
I do enjoy the creative process I have this theory.
I think musicians hold such a special place in their
heart because music does to us what nothing else can.
(05:56):
When we hear a song, the emotions it brings up.
I think for me, it's quicker, much faster, maybe even
more intense than maybe watching a movie or reading a book.
Just a couple of bars of my favorite song Donnie
can literally put me in a good mood. There's days
when I might have to do something I don't want
to do and I throw on I throw on a song,
(06:18):
and ten minutes later, five minutes later, my whole mood
has changed. There's something almost almost chemical about a song
that changes almost my DNA. Do you know what I mean?
Donnie is the same with you with music. I do
know what you mean, And I think what it is is,
when it comes to music, we all have something that
we love, but I would almost garner it to bed.
It's the songs or something that we fall in love
(06:40):
with more than the actual musician. But because of what
that song makes us feel, we then turn around and
project that feeling on to the singer or the musician,
And so therefore it's such a positive thing. And so
if you're at a club or you're at a bar
and you're seeing a hat guye or hot girl that
you're sending up there singing a beautiful song you're going
to or something for them, and it's just it's innate
(07:02):
and like you said, it's a chemical react. It's a
chemical reaction. That's the word I was looking for. Good
for you, Kate Moving along a J McClean from the
Backstreet Boys. He's talking about his experience with Scientology So
on his podcast called Pretty Messed Up Podcast, he talked
about visiting the Scientology Center close to where he lived
in l A. He was curious. He didn't know much
(07:24):
about it, so he thought he'd go and check them out.
He didn't want to go alone, who took a friend
with him. He said they were brought into a big
media room where they sat down and they started to
watch a short film. It was about fifteen minutes long,
and he thought, okay, that was interesting, and then they
got up to go to leave. The door was locked.
Then they played the film over again and over again.
(07:47):
He said they played it three times until somebody finally
let them out, and he felt as if he was
being brainwashed. It was a brainwashing technique. Donny, what do
you think about all this? I think that this kind
of a scary, scary and it just goes come in.
And we've seen like Leah Remany, who has been very
outspoken against the Church of Scientology and anymore, with all
(08:10):
these new you know, shows coming out with like these
cult like religions. There's nexium and stuff from these groups
that kind of suck you in. And this is kind
of what happens. They create these techniques that just just
pounds the information into you until you start to believe it. Wow,
I think you might be on something. I went to
the Scientology Center here in New York. It's on them,
(08:31):
I think, just by the Hamilton Theater. And I went there.
I was said, Okay magazine at the time, and I
was writing all these stories, editing all these stories, some
covers on Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. I thought I
should learn a little bit about this. So they were
very very welcoming. I went there. Do you know what
it turned me off. They wouldn't give me a free book,
so I watched the video. I know, so cheap. I
(08:52):
know they've given me a free is it dianetics? If
they had given me that free book, I might have gone,
I might have jumped in. So I went there at
a cup of tea. They hooked me up to one
of those meters and e meter. Oh, and I love
talking about myself, so they asked me all these questions.
So I thought it was fascinating. And then on the
way out, they suggested I get a copy of Dianetics.
(09:14):
That book, Oh, I said, A marvelous idea I like
to read. I'll get that forty five No no more
scientology for rob shooting. What's going on with our friend
Britney Spears. I roote for Brittany, I do, I really do.
So it wasn't not too long ago that we were
(09:34):
talking about the natius of the day was where fans
were mocking Britney spears is dancing videos. Make sure we
get to go. So Brittany wasn't the nautius of the day,
but the fans mocking her videos were the nautius of
the day. Because we all know Brittany, she has her
issues that she's struggling with. Well, it's kind of amazing
that she has now reacted to those fans making fun
(09:58):
of her, and I kind of really love her such
care free response. To him. What she says was, I'm
trying to learn how to use this whole technology. We're
in a new generation. Which is funny to see that,
you know, Brittany using like an iPhone in her rooms
because she has like billions of dollars she can people
do that for literally. But she's saying, you know, my
(10:20):
posts aren't perfect because I'm doing this for fun. She's
I'm not going to look like how I did you
know back in my coverage of seventeen where she was
all made up and had to pick up and glam squad.
She's doing this because she's at home, she's dancing, and
she's just trying to have fun and enjoy her life.
I get it. I have said, um, you know, off
comments about her dancing and said maybe they are a
(10:42):
little unhinged or silly at times. But now hearing our response,
I really makes you think, you know what, She's just
trying to have fun and just let her life Brittany alone.
I mean, we want this insight into all celebrities lives
and friends lives, everybody's lives, and then when they give
it to us, we've done approved of like, we want
to know what it's like to be Britney Spears, and
(11:02):
there's nobody more honest than she is. I mean, I
think about it. I think all those filters and all
the time we get annoyed with the Kardashians for photoshopping
stuff and all the filters and all the stuff they
put on their Instagram. Brittany gives us the most roar,
the most honest glimpse into her life, and I'm all
for that, team Brittany. Quickly before we go to break
(11:24):
booking Campanis is baffled by Megan marcl changing her name.
This was our lead story a couple of days ago.
So Megan took her name of Little Arches birth certificate.
Originally it said Rachel Megan. That's right, her first name
is Rachel Rachel Megan. She removed those two names and
now it just is her official title, which is her
(11:47):
Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex. That sounds nice, doesn't it.
You'd be what his Royal Highness Donnie of l A,
His Royal Highness Robert Hollywood lovely. So at the time
when it was announced that she had changed the name,
she actually put out a statement her pr people did
(12:08):
really saying the Palace dictated this, or the palace is
clapping back. All sources are to page six saying they
did not dictate anything and it was done by her
staff and higher ups in Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives.
They were kept out of the loop. They have no idea,
so we're back to square one. I don't know what's
(12:29):
going on here. We're really good gossip columns. I'm not
sure why this name changed at all, Donnie. It's so bizarre,
but I do think this is interesting. Buckingham Palace is
raising a flag. You can't say stuff about them that
isn't true because they will respond. In the past they've
always said no comments. They never respond the palace. Now
(12:50):
they're going to start clapping bag and I think I
like it. Donnie, where are you on this? I'm with
you though. It is a very bizarre story. Also dealing
with a piece of paper. So what there is is
there is a paper trail somewhere. Somebody emailed, somebody called,
somebody signed the documents, so there's the truth is out
(13:14):
there and we're going to find out one way or
the other. But also it's it's a bur certificate. Does
it need to say her Royal Highness does say that
what's wrong with Rachel Megan, it's wrong with that Kate
Middleton's has her name on it has it has Kate
and then it has the Duchess of Cambridge. But this
is so bizarre, Megan Darling, if you're listening, Hellolon, and
(13:37):
also to be careful that palace. They're not missing about Megan.
They're not messing about. We're not missing about either. We're
going to take a quick ride if we will be
all right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Night Show.
I'm Rob Shooter, joined by our friend Donny meetscham from
Okay Magazine dot com. Hello Donny, Hell, let's get to
(14:01):
the polls very official. Yesterday we had a big exclusive
that Bravo has already rejected Joe Ji teaches new reality show.
They don't want it? Would you watch it? Do you
want it? Eighty three percent said no. Wherever Joe I
think I'm with the pent A little bit on him
(14:23):
is sort of interesting. I do look on his Instagram.
A few little videos here and there entertain me. I'm
not sitting down for an hour show once a week
for twelve weeks on Joe No I'm with the people
not interested because you think about it, it's the real
Housewives of insert city here, but we're watching it for them.
(14:44):
We're not interested in their husbands are really just kind
of day players. They're kind of just there as part
of the process. So if we get connected to certain people,
if Teresa wanted to have a dating show, yes, that's
connected to her. So you're like you, I don't want
to say people a wallpaper, but that's how they sort
of treated on this show. The stars of the girls
(15:05):
and then the City and then the husband's I remember
having dinner with Ramona and her husband at the Mark
Hotel here in New York there on the New York
Show when they were together. This was a while ago,
and he was complaining that he didn't get paid and
I said, well, then don't tape, and he didn't like
that idea at all. They really enjoyed doing it. So
Bravo knows these people will do it for nothing, so
(15:25):
they're not going to pay you for it. If they
can get you for free, this doesn't look good. Also,
to the press release the news about Joe show, you'd
think it was already sold to Disney or Netflix, like
it's not happening, Donnie. As you know, lots of people,
including our good selves. We've taped a lot of pilots
that never see the light of day. Taping a pilot
(15:46):
is not so hard selling one that's tricky. But the
best of luck, Joe, don't forget to vote on today's
pol You can go to our Twitter page Naughty Nice
Rob or our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. I'm sure
to check tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's
time for Nicest of the dang We actually have two
(16:10):
nicest of the days parents, Milacunas and Ashton Kutcher, and
they're coming out and saying they won't work together beyond
their new Super Bowl ad. So to give a little backstory,
they're in a new Cheetos commercial for the Super Bowl,
And what the funny thing is is, uh Mila was
doing an interview and she said one reason they agreed
to do the shoot was because they had been suck
(16:31):
in quarantine with their kids for nine twelve months and
they were kind of ready to get away from them.
So they agreed to film because it tucked them away
for two days. But now Ashton is coming out and
saying they actually won't do work beyond that because they
want to be good parents. And filming takes twelve to
fourteen hours a day, and a lot of people don't
(16:51):
realize that it's not a, you know, a six hour shoot,
it's a it's an all day thing, and they don't
want to be away from their kids that long. And
I think that's that's pretty sweet. That's that's good parents
right there. Good parents. You're the nicest of the day
and now and naughtiest of the day. Summer High is
responding to Illaria Baldwin's controversy. Sir Selma Hyak, who is
(17:16):
a Mexican American, has addressed the controversy on Andy Cohen's
radio show. She said the following we all lie a
little bit, but she makes my friend happy, referring to
Alec Baldwin, who she co starred with on thirty Rock
I think for seven episodes. She said the following quote,
she fooled me because she's a good mother and has
(17:37):
five kids, and I don't know, I don't care. She
went on to say, it's a bizarre story, but she's
not a bad person. She's a good mother. She makes
her friend happy, and she's always been kind to me,
and that's all I care about, Illaria, this story is
still going on your and naughtiest of the day, nought norty,
norty naughty. And now it's time for a moment of Robber.
(18:01):
You get if you've got to Rob as a bubblehead Rob,
where would you live in your apartment? He would live
on my next of my desk because I was working,
and so every so often I would just go and
just watch it bubble back and forth. That's what you
would do. So no is a complete sentence. Never forget
(18:28):
that you don't have to explain yourself no period. Wow.
I mean, I know it's hard because a lot of
your moment of Rob's are really great, but this one,
really it kind of speaks to me because I explained
myself a lot, and I explain myself a lot more
than I should. And when I when I say no
to something, I'm always feel like I need to give
(18:49):
the reason why there's a no, when it's only because
I can't do it. But no, you're right, Noah's a
complete sentence. People don't need to know the answers surrounding it.
Sometimes that's right. They don't even want to know the answers.
You get yourself in more trouble when you try to explain. No,
it's a complete sentence. My dog Derby is barking behind me,
and so let me just say this one second. No,
Derby see, No, he got it. I didn't need to
(19:11):
explain myself. He got it. He's looking at me now,
he's got to look on his face. No, he's a
complete sentence. Hey, that's it for today. Thank you so
much for listening to the Naughty but Nice with Rob
and Donnie Show, a production of I Heart Radio Donnie,
We love, love love having you every Wednesday. Thank you.
Thank you for getting up so early that your hair
(19:33):
is bright red. It's you do on the zoom Donny glow.
Is that the sunset or is it the sun setting?
I don't know if it's coming up or going down.
I don't know over there, don't forget to subscribe on
the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcast or wherever you listen.
Please leave us a review if you can. And all together, now,
let's remember, if you're going to be naughty, you've got
(19:58):
take care. Everybody but Iced with Ro
