Taylor Swift has privately warned Travis Kelce not to respond to President Trump’s latest attacks, calling the former president “her new Kanye West.” Sonja Morgan is struggling to accept it’s over. The show that gave her fame, friends, and a sense of purpose has left her behind — and she’s not handling it well. George and Amal are quietly living on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

Rob is joined by his dear pal Garrett Vogel from Elvis Duran and the Morning Show with all the scoop. Don't forget to vote in today's poll on Twitter at @naughtynicerob or in our Facebook group.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Hello, Welcome to the Naughty but Nice I'm your host,
drum Shooter, and it's Monday, which means my dear friend
Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett, are you there.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Oh yes, I am, Bobby. Good to see you. You're
looking fabulous as always.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Thank you, my friend. I feel fabulous, even though I've
still got this damn cold. Can you hear it in
my throat?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
You are?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I would love you, know God willing in about one
hundred years from now, when you do pass, I would
love for you to donate your body to science.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I will have to do this either always sick and
I want. It's gonna be science or the Smithsonium. I
have not decided quite a science and I shall be
stuffed in the Smithsonian. Okay, let's jump into the show.
What time is it, my friends? It is tea time
big story. At the top of the show, so Heller
Swift is telling her boyfriend Travis Kelsey to not respond

(01:04):
to some really ugly, ugly statements put out, unfortunately by
the President of the United States. So we're not a
political show, so we're not gonna get into that on
this show, although I'm sure we all have thoughts, well,
I want to focus on their Garrett. Is your boyfriend,
your girlfriend, your partner. If somebody comes after your partner,
you want to fight back. Now. Travis, i'm told, is

(01:26):
furious about this. He loves Taylor. This is his person.
They're gonna get engaged, they are gonna get married. And
then somebody, somebody very powerful with hundreds of millions of
followers on social media tweets, puts out something really nasty,
really sexist, saying that she's not hot and taking credit

(01:48):
for making her not hot, and so Travis, forget how
you feel about that. I know how I feel. But
Travis is livid right now. He would love to respond
a big following himself. So does Taylor Swift. She has
decided to say nothing, and I think that's probably the

(02:08):
right move. Inside as are saying, the President is now
her new Kanye West. He's somebody that's going to constantly
be niggling her. It's going to constantly be poking her.
She didn't support him. We know that he can be very,
very vengeful. We know he can carry a grudge, and
so let's not make it a bad him on this show.
Let's talk about Travis and Taylor. If somebody came after you, Garrett,

(02:32):
and we're not love us, we're dear friends. I would
fight back. If somebody tweeted something really nasty about you,
particularly your looks, I would go mad. But I don't
think that actually helps what's going on. I think it
makes it bigger.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
It adds fuel to the fire, and I think as
hard as it is, it is probably one of the
hardest things you'll ever have to do in your life.
But as long as you could bite your tongue as
hard as you can without it falling off, I think
it just infuriates the other side that much more because
what what said person is trying to do is just

(03:08):
stir the pot, you know, and poking the bear like yes,
and so as long as you don't poke back, the
bear will just continue to try to say the most
outlandish things possible, you know what I mean. Give it
a few weeks, watch and you know, with no one
responding back, a few weeks will go by and be like, hey,
whatever happened to that, Let me let me bring it

(03:29):
up again. And then and then it'll well, the circle
of life will go around and around again, and we'll
be back to the same point. Because Taylor has not commented.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
It loses its power. It's the hardest thing in the
world to do, to have restraint. We're not Taylor Swift.
We are not We're normal politicians living in the White House.
And yet when somebody comes at me on Twitter, on
Facebook and social media, I've actually got a remarkable amount
of restraint when it comes to myself. Now, if you

(04:00):
come at Bruce, my husband.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I am ab a bear vicious.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I am so protective over Bruce. What is it like
with you and your wife. Your wife is not a
public figure, Garret, She's very private, so I doubt she
has that that sort of response by anonymous people. But
you all know, if you have a Facebook account, you
all know people can disagree.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Oh they can, and I call them keyboard tough guys.
But but no matter what, like you come, you come
after me. I'm a I'm a I'm a I'm a writer.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Die as they say.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
You come after my family, you come after my friends,
you come.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
After Rob Struder.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
For God's sake, I will run through the wall like
cool laid man and and and and make make your
life a living head.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Thank you. What would happen though, if I asked you
not to do that, because that's what's happening. Keev Taylor.
You want to do it, your instincts are to do it,
but you can't be saying please, don't.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Then, you know, out of respect for you or a
friend or a family member that does say and it
has happened, it has happened. I will restrain because that
is not my fight to fight, you know what I mean?
But if you say, hey, you know, I am letting
the the the animal out of the cage gain that

(05:18):
happened to my sister. My sister had to go through
some stuff too, and I easily was ready to just
pounce on my platform and impossibly go visit, said said
person at their at their low paying job.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
But I see I'm getting into it, But I.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Get it into it. It trickis you? It triggers you,
doesn't it. I think I've fi got really really good
at this and it's a lesson I want us all
to learn not to because I promise you it actually
does does work. If somebody comes at you, they want
to fight, they want you to fight back, and you're
not going to ever change their mind. Know that. So
if you come at somebody. If you respond with reasons, well,

(05:57):
you know, actually, I'm still pretty hot. I've got twenty
million dollars in the bank, and I've got a billion
dollars of acids, and I've got the number one album
of all time, and I've got the biggest to it
like you hear.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Talk about you. For a second, I did not know this.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Taylor's said. If Taylor wanted to respond, it'd be very
hard to actually logically argue that she's not hot. She's
arguably the hottest pop star of all time. I really
she's got the biggest to her of all time. And
so if I came back with a logical, really smart,
well thought out, documented, factual response, it doesn't matter because

(06:39):
they're not looking for the truth. They're looking for a fight. Now,
if you think of it like that, it's easier to
restrain yourself because if you do respond, you're giving them
what they want. If you don't respond, you've won.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Here's what I think is gonna happen down the road,
And we know what Taylor is a brilliant writer and
almost a magical writer, where there will be a line
and a song that we're not made aware of, but
because of the Swifties are such intuitive detectives. They will
find a way to link it to the situation we're
in right now, and that will be the head response.

(07:17):
But you won't respond. She'll respond in lyric without saying
that it's the lyric. But if you know Taylor Swift
and you know her writing abilities, she will find a
way to weave it in there without without us really knowing,
and someone will uncover it and then we will be
back to square one. Oh, look at this line about me.
But she won't say that though.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
We'll just have to assume it.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
She's so great, Poor Taylor, My godness, she's just trying
to take some time off. My did her business and
she said, Blake Lively disaster and I'll visit.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
I'm just like your body showing up at her house.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I mean, just leave Taylor alone, which brings us about
Paul questioned of the day, So Travis wants to defend
Taylor as an ugly political Really, this sort of attack
is escalating. Would you defend your partner? Would you? Would
you defend your partner if they asked you not to?

(08:09):
So the easy answer is yes, I would defend my partner.
What would you do if they said, please, don't, you're
gonna make it worse. Please do nothing? Could you do that?
Let me know? Hey, go votes, Garrett, I'm not sure
about you. Go vote on our Twitter page. I'd naughty, nice,
rob our Facebook pages naughty and Michell. Let's check back
up a rival to hear your results. Hey, Garrett, what

(08:30):
are you looking on?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (08:31):
I think this show should be all about life lessons.
What can we take from these celebrities and make them
into our own. So let's talk about Sondra Morgan Real
Housewives of New York. As you know, you know, she
had this idea that Real Housewives of New York would
last forever, but as we know, it's not. So she's
kind of in bad shape. She doesn't know how to
transition back into I guess normalcy or what's next. And

(08:54):
friends are saying from sources that we know that she
loved being on TV more than anyone else and it
was her it was her identity, and now that it's over,
she's she's struggling. And someone saw a few people saw
her down in Florida Palm Beach restaurant and in an
ambulance after after this crazy, chaotic scene outside of Echo,

(09:17):
and there was yelling involved, and people said that it
was kind of like they felt like she was trying
to recreate like some type of Housewives moment and drama.
And but what I I'm taking from this and the
reason why I said, what life lessons you can take
do not let what you're doing now, whatever job it
may be, become your full identity of who you are,

(09:41):
because you are a person at the end of the day,
whether you're on TV or you're a teacher or you're
the electrician. You know, that doesn't identify you. It identifies
you right now. But when that comes to an end,
what would.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
You do next?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
It's really smart. A certain very famous pop star who's
ends with my husband once told me what I do
is not who I am, really big, and what he
does is pretty damn big. But he said what I
do is not who I am, and I feel the same.
I love my life, I love my job, I love
the gossip, I love you Naughties, I love you Caro.

(10:17):
I have a great life, but it's not who I am.
And if all of this went away, I'd still have Bruce,
I'd still have my friends, I'd still have Derby Sonya
has got nothing else. I used to be really close
with Sonya full disclosure. I would go to her town
house at least once a week, would have drinks, would
have dinner, would go out to a local bar, would
send karaoke together. She helped me too. I've got to

(10:38):
be honest here. She was a really kind friend. When
I did a pilot, I got a morning show on
v H one and we needed a celebrity to do
a pilot, and Sonya did it. We didn't pay her.
She turned up, she did her own hair and makeup,
she did the pilot. It never aired. She gave me
an afternoon of her time to do it, so I
was very grateful for that. I had to stop hanging
out with Sonya, and I told her this, this is
not a secret. I just couldn't keep up with that life.

(11:00):
I couldn't keep up with that amount of party and
that amount of drama, that amount of screaming and shouting.
And they do try to recreate the Housewives in their
personal life. The boundary, the line between reality and TV show,
which Iran ironically they call reality, it's not it gets
very united. They forget, they forget what that line is.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
You know what. I had two ideas.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
First, is the pop star that you speak of, the
one that sings the themes keep moving along. I'm just
saying if there was any association, no names, I'm just
saying pop star might be. But so you're just saying
how they go out and recreate moments, and I know
they do the Bravo cons And what if you know

(11:46):
everybody loves the photos and you get a photo with
your your favorite you know, housewives.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
This is what we need to do.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
And here's our million dollar idea, rob Shooter. After this
is our this is our after podcast life we take
we create these photo moments. Imagine being able to look
like you're flipping a table while you're hanging out with
your housewife, a favorite housewife in a photo so it
looks like you and the housewives are flipping tables, even
though it's like a prop.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (12:10):
They would do it. If you pay those housewives, they
will recreate any funny thing.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
How much people would pay it easily pay two hundred
and fifty dollars every great?

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Are they ever ever gonna move on? We see so
many enough housewives and they're still just grasping at it,
and you just want to say it's over. It was great.
Be grateful that you had a decade of really successful television.
You made a lot of money, you became the famous person.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
You all have money too, you know what I mean,
most of them have a lot, a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Why not use it? Why not go enjoy yourself?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I don't get it. Oh Son, you were sending you
our best. It's sloppy, It's messy, messy, messy, Okay, Gail
King is distancing herself from this rocket disaster member. Gail
went to space? What's going on there?

Speaker 2 (12:51):
So, so here's what our sources are saying that what
I thought, what I think Gail King thought this was
going to be was a.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Very instant firing.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Experience to turn into positivity, and it kind of fell
flat on its face once everyone just took it as
a as a big joke of a bunch of people
going into space and rich people calling themselves astronauts. So
what Gail is doing is probably the smartest out of
everyone in that one into space. She's kind of doing

(13:23):
damage controls. So she's kind of distanc herself from Laurence Sanchez,
which makes me think, will she show up at the
wedding for.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
For Jeff Bezos.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
I know it soon, but will she show up or
if she does, will she show up undercover?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
So so the.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Whole Blue Origin backlash, Neil like just not. I don't
think it's like ruined Gail's brand, but it kind of
gave a little black and blue, you know, as a
as a journalist. But she's definitely going nowhere near the
rocket crowd ever. Again, I could tell you that, but
but so, I mean, you got Lauren Sanchez, you got

(14:01):
Katy Perry Kimgardashian. They were all photographed together toasting in Paris,
in Paris, but you know, Gail wasn't there.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
You know. It's also two, Gale does have a real job.
I'm not saying she has a real job too. I
shouldn't say she doesn't never a real job, but she
doesn't have to be at a certain place five days
a week for three hours, does she? Lauren sant Katie
Katy is sort of busy. But so this is a
a I think, a really smart thing that that Gail's doing.

(14:33):
And let's remember too, they worked together for I think
eleven minutes. One That is not relationship building. Think people
together for maybe they were together once for eleven minutes.
So let's not overestimate this friendship. Okay, quickly before we
get a break, A little bit of sad news here,
but I don't think we should get too crazy about

(14:54):
this year. George and maul clooney are living pretty much
separate life. So he's in New York, is here for
at least months doing his Tony nominated play It is
Fantastic on Broadway. I was looking enough to see him.
She didn't turn up for the opening strange. She's not
here now during the Tony season. Strange. And we just
spotted her at the cam Film Festival. So what I'm
told is she's in France with the children. The children

(15:18):
argue they get to school in.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
France stability I called stability.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
And so yes, so she's with the kids. Some people
are pointing out, with all their money, she could jump
on a private plane and shoot over to New York
for the opening night. I sort of get that. My
husband had an opening night on Broadway and I wouldn't
have missed it for the world. It was really important
to him, And so I think here, Garrett, I don't
want to get ahead of ourselves here, but This is
how we start to see these little cracks emerge, not

(15:44):
just in celebrity marriages, but also in your own. If
your wife, if Bruce stopped turning up to things that
were really important to me, I'd be like, m.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Yeah, no, I definitely would question it.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
But it's such a weird dynamic because and I think
you and I know this too, that George and themal
have tried to lead a normal life for their children.
You know, they are the exception because they're they're they're
big megastars, but I think they've tried to for their
children's sake, tried to keep them as normal possible. So, uh,

(16:18):
you know, they're not gonna take them out of school, yes,
given maybe a day or two, but you know, I
think at the end of the day that they're most
importantly looking out for their kids. So however they got
to do to keep their kids on a normal nine
to five schedule, which, once you get your kids off
of a schedule, is so.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Hard to That's why you hate summer.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
That's why I hate summer because once summer is right
around the corner and it's like, like structure.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
I'm a structure guy.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Structure that's structure too, maybe a babysitter saying no more,
don't to this. We're going to take a quick break.
Can we be right back? Welcome back to the naughty
but Nice Share in your House film. Shoot, Hey, Garret,
let's get to the polls. Yeah, last year we took
to Anna to add saying that and tom Cruise are
one hundred percent dating. So do you like these two
as a new couple. Let's someone look. Seventy two percent

(17:04):
said yes, you do like Tommy again? Mission impossible. You
saw him last night, Garrett. Yes, he's a superstar. He's
a superstar.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I mean, however you want to say it. He can
charm the pants off of literally anyone. Even if you're
not wearing pants, your pants will be charmed off. He
has this way, and maybe this is something you all
could take as you go throughout your day.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Listening to us. Right now, when you're.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Having a conversation with someone, even if it could be
the most boringest, dullest conversations, look that person straight in
the eye, because what that person who was listening to
you will take away from it is, Wow, they are engaging.
They they they are they are hanging on to every
word that I have, even if it's a sentence or
two that they're saying, look them straight in the eye,

(17:49):
even if you're not listening, fully look them straight eye,
because that connection alone will go as far as anything
else with that.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
That's right, And that's what Cruise does with everyone.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Nobody does it better than Tommy. When you go to
do these red carpets, these big premieeres that Garrett was
at last night, I've done a lot of them too.
The celebrities don't really want to be there, and they
look at the floor, they look at the toes, so
they look at the hands, or they look at their publicists.
They don't look at the person talking to them. Look
people in the eye and don't forget to know. On
today's Paul going to Twitter page, ad Ordianized Rama Facebook

(18:18):
pages and audi your zip and be sure to check
back to my road to results.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Let me tell you something real quick.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
So last night at the premiere, so they were talking,
tom Cruise was talking about big movies outside of his
and the first movie that he shouted out was Ballerina,
the one that is.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
And like it's going to be a big action film.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Like for for him to take time out He also
gave a shout out to Brad Pitt for F one,
but that was the first movie he mentioned when they
were generous.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
It's so generous. Celebrities don't do this, not at their
own premiers. It's all about my project. That premiere is
about selling your project. It's like with QBC for five minutes,
you just sell, sell, sell. Tommy took a moment. It's okay,
now that should be a Nicest the day now our
official nicest of the day. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Wow, Well payback is a bee as they say. Right.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
So over the weekend we can SNL closed up their season,
their fiftieth season. Scarlett Johansson was the host and Weekend Update.
Her husband Colin Joe's hosts that segment every every week
with Michael Jay. And during Christmas and the last episode
of the season, Michael Jay and Colin Jos do this
thing where they swap jokes. They write jokes for each other,

(19:31):
but they cannot read them until they're live on the air.
So over Christmas, Michael Chay wrote some jokes about about
Scarlet for Colin Jos to read live on the air,
and it was about Scarlet's private areas.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Yes, very very racy.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
So Colin got his payback by having his wife Scarlett,
sit right next to Michael as he read a formal
apology pretty much about Scarlet, about Scarlett and college and
how he came up from using crack in the bronx.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
I love I love it, I love it, I love
they can laugh at together really great and nice of
the day. Now, and she's the Duchess of York, Sarah
Ferguson is claiming the Queen's dogs are talking to her.
So when the Queen died, Sarah and her husband Andrew
got the corky smart idea, because they're not going to
kick the corgies out of that house. As long as
the Queen's dogs are still alive, they'll keep that palace.

(20:26):
Now Sarah's claiming the dogs are talking to her. Let's
end with a moment of r there's no secret formula,
there's not You just got to show up. There's no
magic hack, there's no overnight trick, and there is no
shortcut to success. When you show up. You've got to
do it when you're tired, you've got to show up
when you're unsure, and you're got to show up with nobody.

(20:48):
Nobody is clapping for you, because that is how you
find success. That's all it is. There's no formula. You're
not going to be an overnight success. Just keep showing
and I promise it will happen. Hey, that is it
for today. Thank you so much for listening to They're Notody.
