Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice Shooter. It's welcome to the Normani Show. I'm your host,
Rob Shooter, and it is Tuesday, which means our dear
friend Delana Dixon joins us. Hey, miss are you there?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I am? Oh? Can we talk about the cold weather
we had.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Over the weekend? I know it's awful, isn't it? And
we have a fabulous, fabulous date and so I hate
it when it's cold because you can't look quite as cute.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Oh, I'm still gonna look cute. I will suffer to
look good for you, mister Shooter.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I think I'm gonna do the same. I'm gonna dress
really cute and bring along one of those big, ridiculous
like sleeping bag coats and just let you do it.
And then I'm just gonna drop my coat in the
middle of the floor and walk away like I am.
Marilyn Monroe. Okay, that's od night. I'll see Jolena, Missdy
five o'clock.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Bottos, Definitely, I'll see there.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
What time is it? My friends? Is big story at
the top of the show tries Judici from the Real
Housewives of New Jersey has finally admitted that she staged
her prison release photographs saying I might as well make
some money. So if you don't remember in twenty and
fourteen and Trees spended some time in jail. I think
(01:22):
it was eleven months. This was a significant amount of
time after being convicted of bank mail, wire bankruptcy, and
tax fraud. Wow, that's quite a laundry. Now, when she
was released, photographers were there who happened to get pictures
of her? Now she's confessing that she did set up
(01:44):
the shoots. She goes on to say that this is
the only time I've ever done this. I'm not so sure.
And she said that the deal was made with the
paparazzi when I got out of jail. She said they
wanted the first photographs. So if they were going to
get them, so why shouldn't Tree so and some money
from it.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
What do you think, Oh goodness, gracious, I mean, how
else would they know she was getting out unless somebody called.
I don't know if it's list of a date you're
supposed to get out of jail, if it's like readily available,
We'll have to ask my mom. She would know. But
you know, Rob, you've worked as a publicist, so you
would know that celebrities do sometimes plan photos, and it's
because they want to promote a new project or they're
(02:24):
trying to change the narrative of something that's going on.
So this really is no surprise. And if you can
get some money out of it, oh, child, we all
got to get a paycheck.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
We got to get a paycheck. Yeah, you're right, it's
actually not surprising. This is done more often than not.
When I as a publicist, half of my day was
setting up photoshoots, was tipping off photographers, and I wasn't
doing it behind the celebrities back. They loved it. They
even knew the photographers. They even specifically told me who
they wanted there to take the picture. If something happens
(02:54):
and there's not a photograph, then did it really happen
in the world of celebrity, Maybe maybe not. Though I've
got to admit, Misty, over the last five years, I
think things have really changed because now we all have
a really great camera in the palm of our hands.
These iPhones are really, really, really great, and so ten
to fifteen years ago, having a professional photographer there, I
(03:15):
get it. But now you can have your best friend
do it and you don't even have to involve the paparazzi,
the photographers at all. You can get one hundred percent
of the money. You can take the pictures of mystery.
If ever I get a jail, I want you to
be waiting outside.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I will be waiting outside. I'll get a professional photographer.
I don't want to mess up the photos. It's all
about lighting. But also because of the change of time,
now people can just put what they want their information
on social media, so they can control the narrative on
their platform, so that has changed as well. But I
always think we'll need a need for the paparazzi because,
(03:49):
if we think about it, the paparazzi create news whether
you're posing and you're being fabulous to them or worse
when you're being awful to them, than you become the
head story on something like TMZ.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, are you still surprised, mister, You've done this for
a really long time now. Are you surprised at how
many of these shoots, these these times when we bump
into celebrities are actually staged.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
No, I'm not surprised at all. I still think that
there's a lot of need for how you control your
story when you're a celebrity and it's getting harder now
because people have cameras and photos and they can catch
you at any moment. So I still think there is
a need for looking glamorous in your photo. Not being
caught off guard, but walking out of jail or a
restaurant or wherever you're walking out of in full hair
(04:35):
and makeup, totally dressed in being like, oops, me, I
didn't realize the pups were gonna be here the paps.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
That's the giveaway, isn't it. If you see a candid picture,
a casual picture of your favorite celebrity, and if their
hair's not done and their makeup's not done, and maybe
they're picking their nose, you know it really is a
real picture. When they're in a full ball con a
what is it like two in the afternoon, when they're
makeup just flewless. They tipped off the paps. That's the clue. Everybody,
(05:05):
look at the picture. If they look a little too perfect,
then they're involved in this. If they look like they
really are caught a little off guard picking their noses,
maybe they have some spinach in their teeth, then they
probably didn't tip off the paps. But I want to
know what you think about all this. Our whole question
(05:25):
of the day is Teresa admits that she staged her
prison release photographs because she wanted to make the money.
No irony there with Teresa. So she got out of
jail for basically stealing money, and now she's going to
make money off the fact that she stole money. So
she didn't really understand the irony of that. But that
(05:45):
isn't the question. Our question is was it right? Is
this a smart thing to do? Teresa made some money,
and so instead of letting the photographers make the money,
Teresa made the money. Was this the right thing to do? Hey,
go vote on our Twitter pagecknady and nice rob at
facebook page, which is no what he can't say it
ban be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
(06:07):
I my, Steve, what are you working on that? Well?
Speaker 2 (06:09):
This is kind of bummer news. Valerie Burtnelli has been
acts from Food Networks Kids Baking Championship she was hosting
for the past twelve seasons, and she's finally revealing how
sad she is about it and the reason why, and
it has to do with budget cuts. So she says,
I've been avoiding facing what I got confirmation of last night,
(06:31):
and I didn't want to talk about it then because
I kind of just wanted to deal with it, sleep
on it, because it really hurt my feelings. Logistically, I
know the business and I understand budget cuts, right, but
it's really hurt my feelings that I'm not going to
be asked back. And the reason why this is so
important to her is because when she started the show
twelve seasons ago, really saved her life. She was going
(06:54):
through the Apex Year of Hell her words, through her
divorce from Tom Vitally, so this was a saving grace
for her. She was hosting with co host Duff Goldman
before she was dropped in the upcoming season. She's hosted
since twoenty fifteen. I mean, this is such a bummer.
You have a job, you think it's going to be there,
(07:14):
and then all of a sudden it's not. What do
you think wrong?
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Ah? This is no different than the rest of us.
We've all lost jobs, maybe through budget cuts for different reasons.
It's always painful. It's never easy, particularly when you've had
a job for that long that it becomes almost like
something you get used to and you don't realize I'm really,
really lucky to do the work that I do. I
try to never take it for granted, but I do
understand what she's saying here. You feel like you're worthless.
(07:39):
It feels like your value is being stripped away. And
you know, we all understand budget cuts, but I think
you do ask yourself why was my job cut and
not theirs? Like? Why was I the one in this
budget that was cut? And it never feels good. There's
no way to make that feel good except to get
back up and keep on going. That's all you can do.
(08:02):
Feel the pain. I give myself a couple of days
to lalla in myself pity Misty. When something bad happens,
I can be sad just for a few days, not months,
not weeks, and certainly not years. Some people hold onto
things for way, way too long. What I do the
ultimate revenge, the ultimate way to recover from this is
to get back up. She will be fine. She's very talented.
(08:25):
She'll find another gig. I'm really sure about it. But
I do like she's being this honist because even big stars,
I mean she's a big, big star, she has a
lot of money. Even people like Valerie do get fired Misty.
It can happen to anybody.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
It can happen to anyone. As we know in our business,
it happens all the time, and you're not given a
lot of warning ahead of time. But she is so
well loved from her days of being on a sitcom
one day at a time. I see books coming out
of her. I see streaming shows of her own. I
see a YouTube project where she is a start and
no one can take that away from her. YEA to yourself,
(09:01):
cry for a day and then take over the world tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Do it yourself. Okay, moving along. Jamie Dorman, who I
love fifty sheeight of Gray, has been hospitalized with heart
attack symptoms. However, it is to do with a toxic caterpillar.
You heard that right. So JB found himself in hospital
after suffering heart attack symptoms caused by a toxic caterpillar
(09:26):
during a recent trip to Portugal. So we know all
this because his friend revealed that they were rushed to
hospital experiencing the same symptoms. They were on a golfing trip,
so they were having they were on a trip together.
They were having a marvelous time, and then they woke
up and they realized something was wrong. Now they had
a tingle in their left hand. That's always a sign
if it's in your left arm, and they thought, oh,
(09:48):
my goodness, could this be a heart attack. Now they're
fairly healthy guys, I'd say very healthy eyes. They look incredible,
and having a heart attack at their age unlikely, but
it could happen. So they did the right thing. They
they rushed to the hospital where it was discovered that
they had encountered a toxic caterpillar, a really dangerous creature.
(10:08):
And so thankfully they're both going to be okay. But
when you have symptoms, when your body is telling you something,
you must listen. Promise me you will listen, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
And I think they said that they thought maybe we
partied a little too hard the night before, but in
this case, they were like, let's check on it, let's
make sure everything is okay. And again for two guys,
and you know they're not up there in age too
high to suddenly feel like they're having a heart attack.
That is really strange. And this toxic caterpillar is such
a small thing but so dangerous. Yes, always watch the
(10:43):
small ones, always watch.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yes, if we see a caterpillar coming close to us. Tonight,
mister shoeing away. I will shoeshoeshoe. Okay, what else are
you working on? Travis and Taylor s still going strong?
What are these two?
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Well, they are our favorite it cut and they are
celebrating the Now, let me get this right. The Kansas
City Chiefs playoff.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
When I wouldn't know if it was right or wrong.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
So we were doing that. But they were with friends
and family members. Travis's friend Eric basically showed some pictures
on Instagram. They were hanging out in the VIP suite
after the Chiefs. Okay, they defeated the Buffalo Bills football team,
and so of course Taylor's hanging out. She's sticking out
her tongue. She's holding a plastic cup filled with champagne.
(11:36):
Not sure why it was a plastic cup, but you know,
you go, Taylor, you do what you have to do.
She was wrapping her arm around Kylie Kelsey was actually
married to Travis's brother Jason, and also Travis's mother. Donna
was there. You know, she's keeping an eye if this
is gonna be her her future daughter in law, she
wants to keep an eye on her. Kara Delavine was
(11:57):
there and everybody was just having a grand or time.
Now my question rab the play asked, does that mean
like this is starting getting closer to the super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Right? Super Bowl? They think he's going to his team's
going to make it to the super Bowl. Now she's
in Japan at the time doing a concert. But I'm
told that she will fly back. She has theirne a
plane and she has a private jet of course, so
she'll fly back. It's easier to fly back if you've
got your own plane, but nevertheless, it still is a
really long flight. These two are serious. Everybody that keeps
thinking it's oppressed un or it's going to blow over
(12:29):
not going to happen. They very very much are together.
And I think the reason that it's working is the
two of them have been really really smart about spending
time together. They're scheduling, they're schedules to make sure that
they do get to see each other. This is when
dating someone as famous as Taylor Swift gets really difficult,
because she's not just famous, she's really busy. She's really
(12:51):
really busy. And so I think in life you have
to make time for priorities. And so I say that
now all the time, Misty, if you invite me for drinks.
I think to myself, is this a priority or not. I
never say I'm too busy, because if Madonna invited me
for drinks, I'd go. And so I always say to myself,
I'm not too busy, but this is not a priority.
(13:11):
And I'm okay with that, but I definitely want to
know the truth. Travis and Taylor have made each other
a priority and because of that, they have a really
good shot. Okay, quickly, before we get a break. Queen
Camilla doesn't get into Charles's business when it comes to
his grandchildren. So a new book's out by Robert Hardman,
(13:33):
and he says Camilla knows he boundress. She wouldn't want
to get in the way of the time he spends
with his grandchildren. She doesn't like to interfere with that.
It's his time. He had a troubled childhood and also
too his father in skills have been questioned, at least
by Harry. But with his grandchildren he wants to make
up all that lost time. In fact, he's called a
(13:55):
doting grandfather and he likes to spend time with the
kids at Windsor. And they say that Camilla knows that
she's part of this family, but it's not quite her place,
and so she's perfectly fine letting Charles do this. I
think this is fantastic mistake. Sometimes in life I do this.
(14:15):
I try to push myself into places that I'm not
really welcome, and so it's not that the hostile towards me.
But don't always push yourself in where you don't have
to always go.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
What do you think, Well, if my mother is listening,
and of course she is, she's gonna scream, oh, hell no,
I'm gonna be around my grandkids. You're a grandkids and
hang it out with any grandkids that I want. And
I think she feels that way because life is short
and you want to be around the people you love.
Of course, this is the royal family, and Camilla's got
five grandchildren of her own, so she may be busy
(14:49):
dealing with that. But when it comes to my family, Look,
if you're a part of the family, you are a
part of the family, and you're gonna get smothered.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
So just you're right, there's no part time. You're either
in or you're out. Okay, we're going to take a
quick break and we will be right back. Welcome back
to the naughty but nice. I'm shooting the dear miss
hemy Sleen, Let's get to the polls. Thank you, Darling Lasher.
We talked about Meghan Markle missing Prince Harry's big award night.
He got an award and she couldn't go because one
(15:19):
of the kids was ill. My question, it's very simple.
Was Meghan right to stay home and miss Harry's big honor?
Seventy five percent said yes, absolutely when it comes to
kids back off, I totally agree. Don't forget to vote
on today's poll. Go to our Facebook page already got
it by Twitter page naughty but Nice Rob and be
(15:41):
sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. And
now it's time for a nice.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Nice of the d day. Well, our nicest of the
day is Sophia her Gala. I'm actually talking to her
tomorrow will be very exciting. So anyway, she's this is
what she's saying. She's not saying no to a Modern
Family reboot, but she is saying she needs a little
more time. So she made an appearance on the Tonight
(16:11):
Show with Jimmy Fallon and he was asked her if
she would do a reboot because there was a picture
of her on social media with a bunch of her
co stars. It was during the holiday season, and she said, no,
it's only been four years.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
You know.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
I don't know, but it doesn't seem right. I feel
like we need a bit more time. But then she added, well,
we don't have much time because O'Neill, who played her husband,
is old.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Okay, terrible. She's very funny. I like that she's telling
the truth, though too. It's too soon for many many seasons.
They've only been gone for four Reboots are special when
we have to wait for them. If they happen too quickly,
they're not really that special. So I think Sophia is
absolutely right here. Wait wait, wait, okay, let's do it,
(17:03):
and Naughty is the date. Naughty, Naughty Naughty. Cormed is
teasing his romance of Jennifer Hudson on her show, So
he went on a show as a guest and they
sort of flirted with one another. He presented her with
some flowers, but they didn't actually say they're dating. Let
me tell you something right now, Naughty's they're together. There
are a couple. They really like each other. I think
(17:24):
it's cool, it's cute, it's certainly playing coy. It's also
a little bit of annoying mystery. I think if you're
gonna go on her show to promote your stuff, you
do have to sort of admit that you're dating the host.
It's weird if you don't. I think this was just
way too cute for me.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
What about you, you house, Well, it's interesting because I
spoke to Carmen last week and he didn't tell me
anything about Jennifer Hudson. But I can tell you why
he is so charming. So during our interview, I noticed
that he kept saying my name throughout the interview, making
it clear that it was all about me, even though
he was answering the questions, and he was like, I
(18:02):
appreciate you, Delena. I appreciate you. So I can see
you why so many women like him. People have been
trying to figure out what his mystique is. And he's
very much into health, his body. His new book is
coming out and then we rise, and it's all about
how he lives a holistic lifestyle. He's a vegan, he meditates,
he's spiritual, he thanks God every morning. So women are
(18:23):
attracted to that. But the one who can keep them
now that she will be the winner.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Jennifer hunts and it looks like it's you. I know
what He's the day and it's end with a moment
a rob, you get rub, You get a rub, You
get a rub, you get to Rob mum. Something that
I think is going to shock people today, but it's
the absolute truth. Achieving your goals doesn't bring you happiness.
So when you want to lose ten pounds, when you
finally do lose it, you don't really change that much.
When you think you want to earn a lot of money,
(18:50):
when you finally do earn it, your life is really
the same. So if achieving your goals doesn't really bring
you happiness, what does Let me tell you, working towards them,
doing the will give you more fulfillment, more happiness than
actually achieving something. This is scientifically proven all the data.
(19:17):
All the data says it's doing the work that actually
brings you joy. So do the work, enjoy doing it,
and the outcome doesn't really even matter. Hey, that is
big for today. Thank you so much for listening to
the Naughty but Nice with Rob and Miss d show,
a production of iHeartRadio. Don't Forget to Subscribe on the iHeartRadio, app,
(19:40):

you can. I love reading them. They really are helpful too.
And remember all together now, if.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
You're going to be you got to be nice.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Take care, everybody love you. It's starting but nice with
Ron Okay see
