Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for joining us
for another episode of Nightcap. As you watch the Chargers
take apart in the Minnesota Vikings by the score of
thirty seven to ten. Justin Herbert was eighteen or twenty
five two twenty seven, three touchdowns one exception. Vidal'll had
twenty three rushes one hundred and seventeen yards. Herbert had
seven carries for sixty two yards, so forty three rush
(02:06):
attempts over two hundred yards. Obviously, lab McConkie had a touchdown,
Orlando Gasson the second had to touch down, and Harris
had to touch down, so three touchdowns there y'all know
who I am. I'm your favorite shun and Sharp and

(03:56):
Byron Young. He currently leads the NFL in sacks with
nine and Brian Burns are tied leading the league in sacks.
He joins us a little later, but first, Oho, the
Chargers beat the Vikings.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
It really wasn't close.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
As we look at the teams stats, I think the
Chargers might have had thirty oh, they had twenty nine
first downs. The other team had twelve, nine of thirteen
on third downs. That's why you see the score lopsided,
because that means they didn't get off the field. As
a matter of fact, they didn't punt. They didn't punt
the football. If a team doesn't punt the football, there's
(04:31):
a good chance you're gonna.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Get ran through.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Absolutely thirty nine minutes time of possession, four hundred and
nineteen total yards, that one sixty four everything. There were
three for four on in the red zone. Both teams
had one turnover. Ojo. It was it was bad. It
(04:53):
was bad on Minnesota's part.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Hey, listen, this game is representation. If you looked in
the dictionary and you look for the ass, they would
have an example of the Chargers versus the goddamn Vikens wins. Listen,
he didn't play bad. I don't know what's wrong with
JJ McCarthy. They say he's hurt. I don't think he's hurt.
I think they're they're regretting the fact that they let
some Sam Donald go you know, and I mean Carson Wentz.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
He had to.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
He had a bad game. Fifteen for twenty seven one four.
They tried. He got sacked five times too. You got
sacked five times. They tried to get Justin Jefferson going.
He has seven for seventy four. But when you can't
run the ball and the team makes you one dimensional,
and all they got to do is pin their ears
back and come and get you, that's why he was sacked.
He was sacked five times. The Chargers needed this win too.
(05:39):
They needed this win to get the bad taste out
of their mouth after losing last week to the goddamn Coats,
who had been on fire all season long outside of
one game. So, I mean, Justin Herbert looked good. Running game.
They couldn't stop the running game. When you can't stop
stop anything, Hey, when you can't stop it, you can
only do two things, though, Joe.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
You could either running football to throw it. You need
to be able to stop one because if you can't
stop either.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Either one of them.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, that's why the game looked like this. Obviously, they
were very efficient on third downs, and this is what
you get. You get thirty seven points and you say
they ain't punt the night out they didn't, Well god damn.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
M yeah, well this is what Andy did to them
last week yes, flot belt to ass and so it
was only on a short week. Let's get that taste
out of our mouth. We're in our building. We don't
want what happened last last week to happen again this week.
The one thing, look, Jim Harbaugh, his teams normally are
(06:39):
ready to they're prepared, they're well coached team. They got
a lot of talent. The Chargers got talent. They really,
they really have talent. And now they get.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
The pass rush. What's his name?
Speaker 1 (06:54):
From the Raiders and the Bears and now he's the Chargers.
Khalil Mack. Now you get him back. Collapse in the
side of the pocket, man, ye compairaman. You got Hendley
in the middle. You got too fast linebackers that can
chase side to side. You're not gonna have a whole
(07:14):
lot of time to throw the football. They got a
nice rotation they can get they can hunt your quarterback. Now,
if you can't hold up against the path, if you
can't hold up against the rush, you're not gonna be
able to beat this team. You're not gonna be able
to beat him. You got you've got to hold up
against their rush. I believe there's some there are some things. Look,
I understand Derwin James back then the secondary, but I'm
(07:35):
not like, oh, you can't throw on them, but you
have to be able to hold up because they don't
have to cover a long time because their front seven
is really good. Uh, Offensively, you know you got keenan Alley,
you got lab McConkie, you got gas in the second,
you got guys that can make plays Johnson, you got
(07:55):
guys that can really really make plays, justin Herbert. Look
the Miami Dolphin fans are kicking them, like, man, we
could have had that. Yes, you could have yes, but
your owner, your owner. This is not Brian floor is
this is your owner. He wanted tour. Yeah, tank for
a You remember the signs on tank for TUA tour. Yeah,
(08:17):
now both of y'all tank empty. He's in y'all's. The
Chargers look really good. At five and three, the tied
with the Broncos. Right now, obviously the Broncos have a
tough matchup. Is that game Sunday night or is that
a Sunday game? The Cowboys at the Broncos.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
They might they need to they need to flex it
if it's not a four o'clock at night game.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I don't think. I don't think you can flex the
first half. It's the second half you can flex. I
think you kind of you kind of locked in in.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Okay, Okay, that's that's a good one.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
And I don't think I don't think CB. I think
that's a CBS game. I don't. I don't think c
is gonna.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Look, they only get they only get the Cowboys maybe
once twice a year if they say Thanksgiving Day game
and CBS half the after the late game, you know,
the four thirty game.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
So they really trying to give the Cowboys up now.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Fox Fox like, hey, we can all, we all we
normally get them at four o'clock a for a twenty game.
We normally give them seven, eight, nine times a year.
Will you take one? Okay, We're cool. CBS like a no, no, no,
But I look Minnesota, I agree with you, O Joe.
But here's the thing, and and uh we were talking
(09:26):
Ash and I were talking about what the forty nine
ers did.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
See. It was easy for the forty nine.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Ers because they put the competition up and Brock Purty
beat out Trey Lance.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yes, Sir JJ McCarthy was gonna be the starter. He
got hurt. So we are top ten pick and we
got a guy, so are we So so what are
we gonna do.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
It's gonna take at least thirty million dollars to sign
Sam Darnod and we still got a top ten pick
that we really believe in Minnesota, if you ask them,
they're saying, considering the way Sam Donald's played, way he
played last year, wait, the way he's playing now now, Yeah,
they say we want him. We would take him over Sam,
We take him over Carson Wentz and JJ McCarthy. Absolutely,
(10:12):
But unfortunately, you got to make a decision. You got
to make a decision. Are you really Are you really
trying to bring Sam Donald back on a three year,
one hundred million dollar deal and you've got a guy
that you took it with the top ten pick on
your bench because.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
You hold on.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
I mean, I I'd rather I'd rather not guess, I'd
rather go with what I know I'm getting as opposed.
I'm unsure, but we picked him at a certain slot
and we basically starting over. So it's a toss up
because you know, I really think I mean, honestly, I
don't know what type of injury it may be, but
I think he's healthy and they just don't want to
(10:48):
go back to him. They want Carson Wentz. They wanted
to sit there and learn for another year on the sideline.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Well, if that's the case, you should have signed. You
should have signed, You should have signed Sam Donald. I mean,
but here's the thing, O, Joe, Okay, let's just say,
for the sake of argument, what you're saying is correct.
He since two years, he plays his third year, you're
gonna have to do like George Love, You're gonna have
to make a fifty million dollars investment.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Oh yeah, are you?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Are you gonna be comfortable making that decision because Jordan
Love really putting the pressure on him, considering the way
he played in that third year. Yes, so JJ McCarthy
would have had to put the pressure on him.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
That.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
I mean, that's hindsight. That's some magnificent signs now, but
that's a tough. That's tough when you select a quarterback
so high. You get a guy and he's playing really
well and you don't want to take him out. Now,
it was easy for Sam Donald to keep playing because
JJ McCarthy was done for the year. It would have
been interesting to see had he not gotten hurt, I believe,
(11:47):
I believe JJ McCarthy was gonna start. I think they
had Sam Donald as an insurance, as a backup, as
an insurance policy if something, you know, if he struggled,
O Joe, we ain't.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Got no problem. We got to veteran guy.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
We bring him in.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
But he got hurt so early.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Honestly, the Day of truth. With the way Sam Donald
played last year, with the way he's playing this year,
I'm not sure JD. McCarthy would have beat him out.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
I not agree, I agree, I agree. I mean, listen,
they saw something we didn't see because he mainly ran
the football.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
They were mainly a running team under Harbor.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
So for him just for them to be sold that, okay,
he can throw the football and then look, I saw
what he did against the Bears open the night.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
He played well. He came out in the second half
and he played extremely well. But I agree with you.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I think they really wanted Carson Wentz to play well
and keep the job, but unfortunately his offensive line is
not doing very well.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
He makes his mind up. Man. He tried.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
They tried to throw a wheel route to Jones. The
shallacrosse came Scott ass Free because you see what happens
when that happened that you misthrows like that, Joe, you've
made your mind up when you broke the huddle.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
I'm throwing this wheel round no matter what and what
you should have done.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
In fact, if I catch Thatt Mike Backer, who has
to run with the wheel, If I catch him napping,
I'm gonna throw the wheel. Otherwise I'm gonna go through
the progression. I don't know who it was. I don't
know if it was Addison, but I think they ended
up getting a touchdown anyway. He ran the shallow, he
was wide, that's open. Yeah, he was basically streaking. I mean,
they don't do that anymore like they used to in
the seventies and eighties. It was a big thing, you know,
(13:26):
streaking at sporting events.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, but I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't,
I don't. I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
I don't, I don't get I thought Minnesota kind of
revapped the offensive line. Khalil Matt took the left tackle
one time. He just sot him and wents his lap.
They were just like, I mean, every time I turned around,
like oh, there was pressure him he was running. He
you know, he gets flustered and then his head is
down and he's not looking down the field.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
He was frustrated. I mean, he let it. He let
his emotion get the best of him. I mean, obviously
you're showing you're showing passion, you're frustrated, and you're getting hit,
you're hurting, your elbow messed up, and you get the sack,
mean five times. So he allowed his frustration to show
on the sideline and listen, they're gonna be all right.
You know, Brian Florees and that defense. Obviously they didn't
(14:09):
look the part tonight, but they're not gonna look like
this every game. They're not gonna look like this every game.
They back to the drawing board. And we know what
a Brian Florette defense can do just tonight when their night. Hell,
other than listen the charges get paid to.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
We got to get some help, Oh Joe can can
the offense?
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Can you stay on the field that yeah, because if
you go after they score, if you kicked the ball
off and you go three and out and put us
right back on the field, what the hell do you
expect to happen?
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Right?
Speaker 1 (14:37):
We need you to take a look, a give us
a break, a offense hold onto the ball a little bit,
let us get some water.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Hey soon as offense defense you up. We just came
over here.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Yeah, so we'll see what see what's going because that
that that uh, you got Detroit in that division and
you got green Bay and Chicago don't look like no
slout and Chicago has already beating you.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Yeah, they balling now, Bears balling.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
So when you look at it Oho and you look
at what.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
What they did last year, what they were fourteen and
three and right now they're three and four, so that
they're not winning. They're not winning, you know, nine straight games,
ten straight games. They're not winning ten games. They ain't
going thirteen and four. So I'm sure Minnesota fans like, man,
we should have just we should have just went ahead
and kept Sam Donald and plus o Joe thirty three year,
(15:34):
one hundred million dollars.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
The deal that's manageable. They have to give him forty
or fifty.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
But that's a that's a family discount what you're talking about, Yes,
it is, So.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
It's gonna be h. I mean the Vikings, Vikings beat
the Bears. The Bears were winning the Bears were winning
in the first half and then J J mccon they
had that outstanding second half. But the Bear, the Bears
are a different team than when the Vikings face them
opening day. I think we gonn I think we can
(16:09):
all agree to that. Look, that's a vision game. NFC
North Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago and Minnesota. They play each other,
they're very familiar with each other, but Chicago is a
different team. Now, that's not the team that y'all played
open tonight. And we know what Detroit is. Detroit is Detroit.
And once they start getting their guys back healthy, it's
(16:30):
only gonna get it's only gonna get look offensive, they're healthy,
it's when they start getting those defensive guys back, the Kirby, Joseph,
the Arnold, when they start with the Brian Branch, he'll
be back.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
He had a suspension.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Once they start getting those guys back, Green Bay is
Green Bay. If y'all couldn't keep if y'all couldn't keep
the Chargers off, y'all ass good luck keeping Micah and
and and and and uh Rashan Gary and those guys off.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Luck with that, that's gonna be. That's gonna be a
good one.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Oh Joe.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
The biggest story I know is football, but the biggest
story that we've had in a very very long time.
Portland Trail Blazer's head coach Chauncey Billups in Miami heat
gar Terry Rosier were arrested by the FBI in separate
gambling pros this morning. Phillips arrest is related to an
illegal poker games tied to the Mafia, according to ABC News,
(17:26):
tied to the who the Mafia, h if Red collect
the Bonano, the Gentleviees, the Colombia, the Columbia Colombo, and
the lu Cases. But anyway, assistant coach Tiago Splitter would
take over for Billups as Portland new andem coach. Rogier
is accused of being part of a gambling ring that
(17:48):
used inside information to make illegal wagers. According to ABC,
Rosier and Billups are just two of the names arrested
in a wide ranging pro called Operation Royal Flush. They
need to Stop that started four years ago. Two indictments
have thirty four defendants listed. The indictment allegends that Rosier
told associates he was going to take himself out of
(18:10):
games during the first quarter on March twenty third of
twenty twenty three against the Pelicans, so others could bet
the underprop bets. This information was sold to others so
they could also profit. There was a two hundred and
fifty nine thousand that was wagered on Rosier by a
group of people with inside information. According to the indictment,
(18:31):
Rogier played under ten minutes in the game. Billups took
part in a rigged poker game in Manhattan, according to
the FBI, how do you how do you rig a
poker game? Well, Oho, according they had X ray machines
built in the tables, so when you lay the cards
face down, I can see what your whole cards are.
(18:52):
Now I could play contact lenses through glass that read
marked cards, so you know, oh, that's an age, that's this,
that's that. Secret cameras in card trades. Bill is also
alleged to have provided inside of information on the Trailblazer's
injury while team was tanking. At the end of twenty
(19:12):
twenty three season. Former NBA player Damon Jones was also arrested.
Jones sold information on the Lakers game so others could
beat on it. According to the indictment, Jones is a
close friend of Lebron James, who did not play in
the game in question. The Lakers were named in the
investigation during the press conference. Each defendant in the NBA
(19:34):
gambling case has been charged with conspiracy to commit wirefar
fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundry.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Hey uh man, listen, man boy, this is this is big.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
This is huge. This ismous.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
Listen. This is like an episode of Lord Order you
hear me? Okay, I understand the gambling part. Yes, What
grabs me. What grabbed my attention is the fact that
the mafia is still in today's society. Oh listen, I
know they ain't never went nowhere, right, but they're never
visible their presence as opposed to the seventy to eighties.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
That's what the real mob does.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
They're not flashy, yeah yeah, yeah, but they have they
have reputable businesses. They have trucking and they have cement companies,
and they have delivery services, so they have legitimate businesses
to hide behind the other things. See, and people ask
why do this is why the NFL and the NBA
puts out all injury reports. Okay, so therefore because if
(20:36):
they didn't put it out, and guess what people know
how I can get part of that information and in
what it looked like that what happened in the Damon
Jones situation. He gave them the information before it came out,
so they bet before everybody else knew Lebron James was
a scratch.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
They had already got the money.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
So now the line is gonna come down, but they
already got in on the other It's oh, tell, let
me tell your story.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Go head, go ahead, let me let me get comfortable
now because your story has been good.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
This this is why I stopped going to going. We
used to have the same thing. We had a we
had a we had to play craps. Yeah, go every
Monday night. We would go at first, it was just
just guys on the team. Yes, a former player that
was that. Everybody knew. I knew him a long time, yes,
sir uh. And so we would go over there. We
would roll dice everybody month's friend.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
You know.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
We led somebody money. The thing was, I wouldn't lend
you money so you can bet against me. What I
look like giving you a thousand dollars and then you're
gonna fade me right right, right right, You're gonna fade
me with my own money. No, that's not gonna happen.
But anyway, okay, they started letting other people come in.
Oh strange, other people come came in because we didn't care. Hey,
(21:52):
bray at first, if we used to have like ten
packs of ten packs of dice, and sometimes hey, you
get hot on the dice, you keep thee for like
five ten minutes. Hey, you put the dice in your pocket.
Say hey, man, these my special dice. I don't want
nobody else to touch these, right right right well and
behold they let other people. They start letting other people
come in out like, but who is you?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Man? I know such and such.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Oh with this even they came in there with some
damn trick dice.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Huh man. They came in there with them crooks with
a loaded dice. And the thing was, O joe.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
The hardest the hardest points on the dice to hit
is ten and four, because there's only two ways you
can make it. You can make it five five or
you can make it six four. Yeah, the same thing
with four you get three to one, you get two two,
you get flowers, or you get a little jokokomo. So
that's it, man, That jogger throw them dice. It rolled ten,
(22:47):
so you know ay, so you know, ay, everybody go
with that ten. You ain't fitna hit that ten. Hey,
I'm gonna tell you something. I don't know, Chad, if
y'all ever gamble before, but if you want to break
up a dice game, hit ten and four out of
saw cars in exchange hands out of saw. A lot
of ish happen with that ten of four. Come on,
but anyway he came out. He hit ten, So you know,
(23:09):
everybody jump on to hey, you know, jump on it
with both feet. Two. You ain't fitny hit that, right,
So he took a cool to two hundred, two hundred
off meat, you know, yeah, yeah, damn. I said, let
me come back, let me come back.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
He rolled the four back to bag. He rolled a ten.
He kicked the ten.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Oh Joe, the end was hitting it out the door,
So I said, what the So I only go over
there with like twenty twenty five hundred right right right?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
The dice game up hit for about thirty what thirty?
What thirty thirty bad? You gotta realize it's LA fifteen
twenty of us in there.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
We all NFL players, So we all got bred or
guys would go to the at M and hit money and.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Come I'm back.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Oh hey, hey, y'all, some was up. Man, Oh Joe
getn't know, so I tell him my homeboy burns. He
had gone out of town because at the time Michelle
was in Virginia, so bye week, you know, not a
bye week.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
But he would go home.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
So he would leave that Monday, go home, stay Monday night,
come back Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Because a lot of.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Times we didn't have price we win, we didn't have
we didn't have no meeting, we have anything. Just get
back Wednesday, right right right. As a matter of fact,
he was catching the red and I get homes early
Monday morning. But anyway, I told her, I said, man,
brand you ain't gonna believe this. I said, dude, broke
the game up. He said what he said?
Speaker 2 (24:40):
What he was here?
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I said, dude, we had a dude named Reggie, Reggie Hayward.
He broke the game up. He had the dice for
like an hour. I ain't never seen nobody getting down hot,
but it was legit. He had the dice for an hour.
Every point on the dice he hit, he was seven
out the door a lud a that four five. Hey,
if you was talking about burning fifty four died in
(25:02):
sixty three, what's my point? Na ya yay, gotta hit it,
yah yah what Jesse James Carrey forty five? Hey, hey,
he rolled for him and Smith walk up out the door,
stayed on the dice for an hour. I said, burns,
(25:24):
old boy ten and folk had the dice just like that. Yeah.
The next week the guy house that he was was at,
he would roll the dice. Had two grand out there,
had everybody had it. He crapped out, He picked the dice.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Up and threw them.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
They split open. Oh oh, now you can see where
the weight was. So I go, I don't hear about
this till the next sold. This is a little Monday.
They start calling me, man sharp, you ain't gonna believe this.
I said, what man, Man boy had crooks? I said, yeah,
(26:08):
he had the way the dice. Like, yeah, man, what
you think we should do? I said, I don't know
what y'all gonna do. I ain't gonna do nothing because
I'm gonna go to jail. So I said, look, I'm done.
From that point, I said, I'm done. I thought, Bird,
if you want to.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Go, He's like you ain't going. I ain't going.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
But anyway, and I started, I look, boy, look here,
I started to get the dude that vouched for him
and I knew him, but he we've been cool. You
vouched for him, you vouched for him. You got to
cover here. But anyway, dude brought a brand new brought
a brand new maximum get it out per new gear.
(26:48):
That's what stopped me from doing. That's what stopped me
from doing the house game. I got it first of all.
It's gotta be like us, it gotta be us. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
no all, I ain't talking about no horrible Sorry, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry. Oh yo, your homeboy, your homeboy can't play right.
Everybody me, you, x y z We and a bell
player boot. I believe we're gonna be on the up
(27:10):
and up. If somebody come to the game, they know it,
they know it's money gonna be there. Yeah, gonna come
in and cheat the card game the same thing. That's
what happened with the online poker. Guys had had the
online poker. He had he had the uh uh uh
you know it's what they call it. But anyway, he's
he he They can see your cards, so he's crazy.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Technology is so advanced. Listen the part that scared me young,
I understand Chancey in trouble. I understand Damon Jones in trouble.
I understand Terry Rozier. For one, I'm not risking it.
I'm not risking the Listen that I'm.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
In risking it. Huh, think somebody a lot of this
stuff happened in twenty three. It's twenty five. Oh you
ojo what criminal you know? Make a score and said
I'm done?
Speaker 1 (27:57):
I quit.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Well, you can't, but you understand. When the FBI get
it holy in that, THENBI they watch it for.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
They don't let it run. They gotta wait till they
get you.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Oh yo, I can't get you with one charge because
you a bout your first time.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
You're gonna get off. I got to get you deep.
I gotta make sure the hook is set.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
You got They gotta build up, they gotta bild up this.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
This is scary.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
You gotta set the hook because if you don't set
it right, a big one gonna get away.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Oh yeah, absolutely. But this is the part that scared
me though, right like understanding, understanding, Okay, I understand the
gathering part. It's the part about being part of the mafia,
being entangled into it. Man, listen, that's a no note
for me right there, off back. I done seen any Sopranos, Yeah, yes,
I done seen Good Fellas. I know it's a depiction
(28:45):
of of a fictional story maybe, but that's real life.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
I'm thinking about extortment. I'm thinking about once you tied
into them, man, that's you.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
You got a point shade. Now you've got to feed
them information is what I hate most. Look, and I
knows I know Chouncey Billim since he was in high school.
He went to g DUB in Denver, Colorado, which was
about a mile from where I was staying. I used
to stay in the Breakers. Anybody from Denver know exactly
whether Breakers are on Mississippi and where? And the uh
and where g Duve is a car wash used to
(29:18):
be a Sterling car washed right across the street. Chouncey
Billis went to g DUB. He was sensational, sensational, three
time mister Basketball All State all year. So we get that,
and so I feel bad for Chauncey uh uh uh
and and I hope, I hope this is this, this
is what they suggest, But my thing is and I
(29:38):
hope this is just, but Damon Jones, do everybody knows
what Lebron goes through to try to make sure he
has no staying no, because what did they put in
the paper? They put Lebron James. This man has done
everything he possibly could to keep his nose clean to
(29:59):
make sure he doesn't have the people. Look, Maverick, he
grew up with Rich, he met at a very young age.
Randy he grew up with, so he's insulated himself. Lebron
don't have a whole lot of close friends. You see him,
you gonna always see Randy. Randon is his sheep of staff.
Rich is his agent.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Obviously, Maverick handles all the other business inquiries.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
You put this man on the spot because it's a
legend that you sold information that Lebron is not gonna
play before it became public knowledge. And they say they
have a text message or something between the two. I
just I just hate, I just hate.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
And obviously the funny thing about that Lebron doesn't know.
I mean them them exchanging message, him letting them know.
That's like me texting and we finna play the raiders.
But I'm not playing like that's that's no harm, no
foul on Lebron part because he had no idea.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
What's going on exactly? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
So, But but the one thing, and when I was
talking about about them being dealing with the mafia, you
understanding these people have no regard for life. No Once
you in business with them, that means you got the always.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Once they got the hooks in you. I need all the.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Answers I need who's playing, who's coming out, what's the
score line gonna be? And what happened when you get
it wrong? What happened when you mess up? What happened
when when you you you place the bet and you
give him certain information and it doesn't come out the
way it should and they lose money.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Well, all of a sudden you say he's not gonna
play it. Then all of a sudden he plays. He
a game time and he end up playing.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Hold on, what about this? Once you in, once you
in with him like that, what about you know what,
I don't want to do this no more.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I don't want to I want to do it no more.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
And if it's reported that the like he got twenty
five hundred dollars so on a fifty thousand dollar bet.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
I think it was a fifty thousand dollars bet. Wasn't
it fifty thousand dollars? Bit?
Speaker 1 (31:51):
How much wasney? It was over one hundred thousand. They
gave you twenty five hundred.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Now what what hold on? They didn't even give you
ten percent. They gave you two percent? What the hell
I would do with that? Hey, oh Joe, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
If it's two billion, I'll take ten I'll take two percent.
But not, no, damn one hundred thousand. Nah, absolutely not.
I just absolutely not. Hey, Hey, I'm listen.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
I understand the gambling part right, And the gambling part
to me because I've been in that lifestyle. I don't gamble,
y'all know my chea basketall gamble. I'm saying. I've just
been in that world for so long and seeing so
many people gamble past thirty years. The part that is
that has me stunned and it is amazed, is, boy,
you're dealing with the mafia, like I think. I think
(32:41):
people just like letting it.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Go and they hell they read it.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
Damon Jones, Chauncey, Chauncey and goddamn Terry Roseier is the
only one that's on the goddamn news. Well, where's everybody else?
Speaker 1 (32:54):
What the other thirty name? I gotta get thee Oh Joe,
let me ask a question. When the last time you
see somebody post a fish that was this big? They
post the trophy fish. Yeah, they are the trophies. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
So now you you lose, you lose your job, you
lose your career. But you know they're still gonna be
making their money. Uh oh yeah, they ain't gonna you know,
you know, you know it's not gonna stop, absolutely not. Bro.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Look here.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
And I I used to gamble, I did. I mean
I used to come to Vegas and gamble. I gamble
on the plane. We played you know, we used to
play Tonk and we used to play in between. Yeah,
pots get up to five ten, twenty thousand, thirty thousand
dollars American money.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yes, mash boy, y'all man, y'all tripping man.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Man.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Look, I took a car for guy. I felt bad
for him because I know if he had to go home,
we're gonna get a divorce. He had he had arrest
tho chavel four fifty four, right, black beautiful, you took
the pink slip, I said, man, give me give me
three grand.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Call of the day.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Y'all were betting called pink slips.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Hey, he gotta be got in the hold and that's
what happens. Oh yoe, he was in the whole. Hello,
that was a story I hear about a dude name.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
I think his name is Jeffrey Wantonaby lost two hundred
and four million dollars lost his family fortune.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
Read it go read about it two hundred don't read
about it a chat? No, his name was Terry. I
think his name was Terence Wantonabi a chat.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Somebody send that to my instagrams or my Twitter polease,
I got I got to read that. How do you lose?
Did you see the movie The Gambler?
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Yes, Like I didn't know people had issues like that
where they're addicted to gambling.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Gambling, yeah, alcohol, drugs, Yes, it's an addition. It's in doorphins,
it's a hot it's a rush.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
How do you you lose twenty fifty thousand? You go
to the shark and ask for more money too? Oh?
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Hold on? Read that a lout and say what he
was ash two hundred and forty.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Twenty forty million? Yes, At what point do you say stop?
Or what point do you say, no, I lose twenty dollars,
I'm gonna lose my mind.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Yeah he was up. But see here's the thing, oh Joe,
same thing. There was a guy named Arnie at the Benyons.
He was up, he was up fifty million, lost it
all back. He had every five thousand dollars chip that
was in the hotel. The hotel used to have to
casino used to got to come to his room and
get the chips because he had them all.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
He lost it all. You know, I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
I just I can't. I can't grasp the concept I understand. Listen,
I really can't talk now because I just started. I
just started playing a little black jack myself. Every time
I go to Vegas is I don't go to Vegas often,
but they go to the black jack table. You know
how much I spend. I take two hundred dollars out
of a ten. I paid the twenty five dollar hands. Yeah,
when that two hundred dollars gone, man, I'm hurting and
(36:20):
it's only two hundred dollars. And now you you saying
these extraordinary numbers.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
How the hell you.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Lose two and forty million when you get down, you
try to get it back, because let me tell you
how it happens. Okay, I lose fifty, Hey, I lose fifty.
I'm gonna bet one hundred to try to get it back.
Now I'm down one hundred and fifty. So guess what
I gotta do, o Joe, I'm ana bet two hundred
because I'm gonna get all three. I'm gonna get the
two hands that I lost, and I'm gonna be plus fifty.
And before you know it, now you've betten twenty five fifty,
(36:46):
one hundred thousand a hand. So how long will it
take you? Because if you go on a rush, you
go on to run, you could back. Hey, go back
and look I think it with the MGM carry Pat
what was it? Daddy name Packard? He was an Australian billionaire.
Go read about what he did, what he did to
(37:07):
the MGM, how he directed quarterly reports.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
He wrecked it.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Yes, when he won, he went on the run.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
He won, Yes, big time.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
But you know.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
That was that was serving him. She would bringing him
you know his you know, smooth as a water or
whatever it was. Go get your mortgage. I'm gonna pay
it off for you.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Oh he was talking spicy.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
He did it carry packard is yeah, yes, dmn GM
thad about it. I know all the stories.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
Hey, listen, gambling. Gambling is an addiction. Uh, absolute, and listen.
A lot of people say, stop acting night. See, there's
certain things that I don't know about. There's certain things
that I don't know about because it was never It
never sparked my interests. That's not something that that It
ain't like soccer. I could take you by, I could
talk about boxing, I talk about tennis.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
But but gambling him, I just started.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
I just started playing black jack this year.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Oh yeah, Oh he was a whale. Those are what
they call whales. One of the guy used to be
a pinhouse. One of the guy on pin House. Uh
he was in the wheelchair.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Oh damn, I forgot his name. I met him one
time on he on Hustler. Yes, yes, yes, damn, I
forgot his name.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
I met him. I met him in La. He passed away.
He was a whale.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Larry Flint, Yeah, mister mister Flint, that's right.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
Yeah, yeah, but oh show. The thing is is that, well,
I played a couple of hands. You know, hey, you
know I.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Hey, hey, hey, how how much you how much you
were better? Now I don't mean to be in your.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Business, but I mean, oh show. We was at the rio.
We was at the rio, okay, and it was me
seven thirty fifty three and crop Pot. It was us. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
So we're playing. So I had like twenty five thousand
on me. John John was playing John would so I had,
you know, I've won, and he was playing. So he
get a card he split, so he got so he
split them. Then it was another o the same cards
he split that we had about he had about six
(39:45):
cards that was split, and then he ended up doubling down.
We had like forty thousand on the table and the
dealer bus he took all mine. Cause if if the
dealer would have hit all my looks with five thousands gone,
He's like, give me your money.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Look, wow, whoa hold on?
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Hit?
Speaker 2 (40:03):
You na give you my money? What kind of bull job?
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Ask?
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Would be one? But it's a oho. Ain't nothing like it.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
It's nothing like sitting there, you play five thousand or
ten thousand dollars a hand and then you.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Get black jack. Oh you goetta.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
They tell me what gets scary Ocho? What gets scary
Ojoe is that. When you get a double down hand
and you got five thousand or you got ten thousand
on the wood.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
Yeah, now when you got a double day, when you
got a double down hand, you got ten thousand on
the wood. What that means you double your money.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
You doubled it.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
So you gotta put ten thousand, ten ten more with it,
double it, or you split it. You gotta put ten
Guess what happens.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
O joe.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
You get a double down hand, yeah, you get a split.
You gotta split hand. So let you get say you
get a pair of eights or a pair of nines
against sir seven or below. Yeah, you're gonna split them.
Now you get a three or two or three. Now
you doubling that. So now that's twenty thousand. Now you
get this head, you get a split, you get a double.
(41:12):
Now you double that twenty twenty thirty forty. That's forty
thousand on the wood.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Yeah, it ain't worth and you hit me it ain't
worth it because I want I'm thinking about the loss.
I'm thinking about the loss.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
You can't think like that, so you can't go to
the table because you can't look at the CHIPS's money.
You look at them as objects. Now the moment you
look at them as money, get up from the table.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Hey for one, for one? Unless you make the kind
of revenue and you have disposable income. Yah, shouldn't be
gambling no way, Yeah, unless you have disposable income.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
I don't care.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
NFL players, I don't care how much out. If you
got a fifty eighty million dollars contract, your ass shouldn't
be at no goddamn crap table or playing blackjack or
no no rotisseriy or none of that. Yeah, what's the
one in the circle again with it's called that's.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
Roulette about that's a that's a league. That's a gambling league.
But anyway, I know what you meant. And plus the
new thing now is Bacarrock read the field live.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
Your story.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Few ivy famous. I know that name.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
I know he'll he'll a poker player. But they went,
they went, they went overseas him in a uh in
a in a Chinese lady. Yes, sir, read about that story.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
It's good or bad?
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Uh, it's bad. Well, he won, but they fought because
the lady could count cards. You can see the imperfections.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
Mhm.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
But oh Joe, that gambling man is a oh yoe.
Why you think people be watching the game. You think
they really be liking these teams?
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Some people do.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
I got fantasy and I got real money. You messing
up my party. That's why they call you the N word,
That's what it because then you suck. That's why they
say you worse than the look brother, you lost.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
Me my money.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
What the.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (43:06):
If you can't stand and lose your money, you don't bet,
you don't. You don't bet where you suck? Man, I'm
telling you, hey, hey, hey, that's that's fascinating. It's fascinating
hearing the stories, it's fascinating. But I can't put myself
(43:27):
in position to put my money where I have no
control over whether I win and lose.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
I don't. I don't want to.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
The house don't let you win. I have heard enough
horror stories.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
Just stay right.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
You got to be able to see the thing, the how,
the reason why the house wins so much. They can
weather the storm because guess what, o Joe, if you
start winning too much, they'll ask you to leave.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
Okay, that's that's enough, mystery, that's enough, mister Johnson. No
what what you know? You think you we think you
haven't you've done enough for tonight? The question is when
you win, can you get up on your own?
Speaker 1 (44:03):
Leave? Because they don't asher you to when you lose it,
they don't ask you to leave. Can you ask yourself
to leave when you lose? When you start? Can you
leave when you start to lose?
Speaker 3 (44:17):
This?
Speaker 2 (44:17):
Oh? Yoe? This is what happened. Excuse me, This is
what happens in the game and space.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
Yes, yeah, I mean, hey, can you imagine? How do
you even I'm still stuck on the mafia part because
I understand how that can end you put yo, You're
not just putting your life in jeopardy.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Everybody get close the play for keys?
Speaker 3 (44:45):
Now, hey, man, I ain't got man? Who what you
know that there's a there's a certain excuse me, we
speaking of gambling. Now, excuse my lack of knowledge.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
I might be wrong.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
The greatest player, the greatest basketball player of all time. Yes,
if I'm not mistaken, segregrated.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
But okay, yeah, he'll big gambling, Yes, yes, he like yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
Now if now you see where I'm going, I'm trying
not to say it without saying it because you lost
someone very close to him.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
But everybody know but but the thing is, there are
a lot of people that lost because they chood next
to him and feel they got the gambling as much
as him. Here the logo, he ain't gotta play no
more basketball, and he's still gonna get. He gonna get,
you know, three hundred four hundred million, and he ain't
the last time Michael Jordan dribble the basketball.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
But see, you do not understand what I'm saying. Didn't
he lose somebody closest to him? Yes, okay, so you
get where I'm going with it.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
Yes, okay, See that's what That's what the reports believe
that it had something to do with that exactly, which.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Is why I don't understand how Chauncey and Damon and
Terry would even yo, what you part of?
Speaker 2 (45:51):
Who gamb no who?
Speaker 3 (45:52):
Now, I'm good, I'm good, I'm good, none of that
information because at the minute, it don't all right, and
you can't get to me.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
You're going to the next closest thing to me. I
don't don't want I don't want that.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
So that's you know, and and and and reportedly the
NBA investigated Terry Rogier and clarity. That's the problem that
you got yeah. They investigated him last year. Oh Joe,
we briefly touched on bills and they cleared it. Now
you see why the NFL. See, that's see, that's why
(46:30):
you can't do it, oh Joe, because guess what these
gaming companies they want to be able to bet with
the NFL at MLB. So they're gonna turn in. Oh yeah, absolutely,
they're gonna turn in because hold on, wait a minute,
he's just a guy, and why are we getting all
these problems bet coming in on him and he just
(46:51):
oh no, they'll pull it off.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
The board man, please, God damn.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
I look.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
In situations like this, oh you gotta just take your medicine,
and and and and and and I just I hope
it's not true.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
I look, I don't really know. I don't really know.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
The FBI does not come and get you until they
have enough evidence to convict you.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
Well, I can hope oat your damn you know, hope
the people.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
In the people in hell hope they can get some
goddamn ice water. Is it coming? Absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (47:31):

fool and his money soon part shall soon part ways,
and that shit there I mean, excuse me, I don't
mean a curse. It is stuck with me through a
lifetime where I understand I can have a little fun.
(50:18):
But I know where draorder lye. I understand there are
addictions in the world, whether it be alcohol, whether it
be drugs, whether it be gambling, I mean, whether it
be horizontal activity. You know, gambling is one thing I've
never done. Now I'm enjoying and having some fun with
it with a two hundred dollars limit only blackjack because
it's just me and a dealer and the people that
(50:38):
sit down with me, they can help me understand the
game and whether the hit or the state that's it.
Once I lose that to a dollar.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
You need to learn how to play yourself. Because they're like,
would you like to play? I say, well, I am
been to play with my money. If you want to
give me some of his house money and let me
learn how to play, I've not learned how to play
nothing with my money. I'm gonna know what I said,
Yes down, I wan't know how to blay, especially if
you bet the black jack table. You playing third base, boy,
you mess up for everybody hanging. I'm definitely not let
(51:09):

we gamble by everything because see in the league, it's
really it's really not about the money. We bet obscure things.
Like I said, i'm'na bet you. I'm gonna bet you
five thousand dollars in pennies. I don't want your money,
I want your pride. Everybody got money in the league. Yeah,
(51:29):
something might not have as much as others. But I
want you to go to the bank. I want you
to go up to the cash here. Hey, take your
debit card if you got one. And when that lady
asked you say, what are you gonna do with ten
thousand dollars in dimes or what do you need a
twelve thousand dollars and Susan b anthony.

It ain't about to I can eat that. I don't
check up about no five thousand dollars. I want you
to take your ass to the bank and tell that
cash here that you gotta get ten thousand dollars in dimes. Yeah,
and y'all don't know if y'all notice, but y'all, y'all
don't know how heavy coins are when you're getting that
(52:09):
amount of money. Yeah, man, come on, shrump man hair's too.
I said, I don't want it. The bet was two
hundred dollars in quarters. It wasn't no two hundred dollars
in bills, So take your ass to the bank. So
I ain't taking it, I said, I don't know what
that is. I do the money out of my locker.
I don't want that. Yeah, quarters, Susan b Anthtery. I
(52:33):

headlines already hit today, right, The're gonna give you pieces
of the story bit by bit, and then this is honestly,
more people are gonna come out, for sure, more people
are gonna come out. This is just this is the cornerstone,
this is the top piece. This is just to grab
your attention. Now we're gonna give you a little bit,

to come out here, used to come down to the
Freemont which is the old strip.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Everything is on the new strip.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
Now, but everything used to be uh benions and golden
nuggets all that's downstown on Fremont. Yeah, and uh to
hear those stories talk, I think it's uh. I think
