Speaker 2 (01:14):
It's good to be right.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Well, it was a hell of a ball game, and
I'm sorry that it had to end. It almost ended
like the Dallas Cowboys game did. But but the forty
nine Ers defense rose to the occasion when they absolutely
positively had to, and they got a stop on fourth down,
and they keep the Rams from cashing in on a
third down and fourth down, and they win the ball

(01:56):
game twenty six twenty three in overtime. Both quarterbacks were
deal We'll get to that in just a moment. Thank

Know what's going to happen. We know what time it is.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Forty nine Ers beat the Rams in overtime Oh Show
by the score of twenty six twenty three. Forty nine
Ers improved the four and one take over sole possession
of first place in the NFC West, while the Rams
fall to three and two. At the goal line three down,
down three points and about the score tiring Williams, he
fumbled great punch out by the forty nine Ers. They

(03:55):
get the ball stuffed up because looked like the forty
nine Ers was gonna potentially win the thing regulation but
forty nine Ers hold him out of the m zone
there and then on fourth down on Joe when the
rubber really needed to meet the road, because it seemed
to me they were gonna go for it. I don't
think they were gonna play for the tie like we
got Sunday Night between the Packers and the Packets of

(04:16):
the Cowboys, it seemed like Sean Sean McVay was held bent.
He wanted to win this game on Joe. He really
he wasn't playing for no tie, and he.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Went for it.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
The question that I have for you, do you like
Sean McVay going for it on fourth down? Or does
he kick the field goal and give the forty nine
ers because the next score wins the ball game?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Yeah, I kind of like. I like him trying to
go for it. I want to get this game over with.
We've had some mistakes, we've had some drops, we've had
some penalties. We fought back to get back into the game,
and I really want to end it right now. I
want to end it. So I have no problem with
him going forward on fourth and one trying to end
that game. Listen, it can go one of two ways.
Either you get it or you don't. You didn't get it.

(05:00):
The fact that even had the balls and the goal
to even go for it in that situation says a lot.
And he's one of the few coaches in the NFL
who can go for it and take that chance, like
a Dan Campbell. You know, he's one of the if
you can.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Do it, I love it. I loved it.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Also, Ojo, don't I'm not playing for a tie. I'm
down there. I'm in a great position. And you look, Look,
you had an opportunity. You're right there to go the line.
You get a punch out, and now you're down again.
And guess what, Ojo, If I kick the field goal,
it's twenty is twenty three twenty. Next girl wins the ball,
wins the game, and the forty nineers are getting the
ball back. Now you can say, well, they might fumble it. Nah,

(05:38):
I'm not taking that chance. I'm down there. I believe
in my offensive line. And but look Robert Saller, guess right,
he sold out on that side and it stuffed him.
I mean it wasn't even close, Ojoe, I'll be dating.
I mean, as soon as it happened, bam, bam. Guess what.
Forty nineer starts spilling out on the field. They going,
I mean, the rams ain't no, I would, Hey, let's
get a measurement. The fishers alread like its old going

(06:01):
the other way, and these quarterbacks were dealer the night
O Joe. Matt Jones thirty three or forty nine three
forty two, two touchdowns, no interception. Matthew Stafford thirty and
forty seven three eighty nine, three touchdowns, no interceptions. I mean,
it really was a clean game, with the exception of
that one fumble by Kirrin William That probably is no

(06:24):
way to know.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
But it didn't help them. No, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
We can't say it cost them the game on Joe,
but it damn sure did not help them win the game.
And the forty nine ers have to feel good losing
a game, and like they lost on Sunday, on this
short week, you're down, Purty, you.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Down all these guys. Vosa's not coming back.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Look at all the guys that they had injured tonight,
and to have guys step up and rise to the
occasion and play as well as they did on a
very very short week. Look, I understand, o Joe. It's
not like they had to go cross country look California.
But still you get a short day, a day less
to work because you have to travel. But I thought
the forty nine is given the situation, given the totality

(07:04):
of the situation that they're in, I thought they played
extremely well tonight, Ojo and I think Kyle Shannan should
be very, very proud of his ball club because they
did play well tonight and they found a way to
get a win against a division opponent.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Not only should Kyle Shanahan be proud of his ball club,
he needs to take a bow himself with the play
calling some of the stuff he did with all the
injuries that you just talked about that have mounted up.
No Ricky Purcell, no Brandon I, no George Kittle.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
From all, Juwan Jennings is out.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Juwan Jennings is out.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
And the excuse me Bosa is not coming back?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Yeah yeah yeah from Offen the standpoint.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Oh yah yeah yeah yeah yah all yeah yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Brother Kendrick Bourne, Brother, Kendrick Bourne, I know you're gonna
see this career.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Oo a salute on the.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Career night obviously had some drop last game that have
a short weekend come back and rebound and from one
of the mac Jones to be able to have the
confidence to keep getting in feet you the ball. And
another thing I want to talk about the quarterback situation.
Tonight's game is a perfect example of the definition of
next man up. When you look at a game like
tonight and see what Mac Jones is doing, having a

(08:13):
resurgence in his career, which is why I also think
where quarterback go situation matters. We saw Mac Jones do
it tonight, we see Daniel Jones do it in Indianapolis.
We're seeing Baker Baker Mayfield do it over there, and
god damn in Tampa Bay. Sam Donald going from Minnesota
to Seattle and still doing it. Now, I think where
quarterbacks go and what they have surrounding them, including those

(08:36):
calling the plays, is so important to a quarterback success
the most. Hey, yeah, and dude, they look really good.
This is a really, really good game. The RAM didn't
really help themselves either with some of the drops, some
of the mistakes, some of the fumbles, but hey, this
was probably one of the better, one of the better
Thursday night games we've gotten so far.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Hey, the quarterbacks for Dalon oh yo.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Look, you know I'm not big on high perbly and
I said this at the time, Yes, sir, I thought
the forty nineer should have drafted Mac Jones because it's
hard for me to I really can't, I really can't
differentiate between the two. Are you trying to tell me
that you believe if Kyle, if Matt Jones had been
in this system for the entirety of his career, because

(09:18):
we saw what he did when he had Josh Josh
Josh McDaniels.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
He saw what he did.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
You're one, yeah, and you'ret the team to the playoffs
with a Pro Bowl player?

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Are you telling me?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
If he has Kyle Shanahan for four years, he's not
as good, if not better than Brock Party.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
And guess what if you take I get.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
I get why they didn't because when you looked, when
you look at a guy, nothing jumps off at you.
He doesn't have Lamar Jackson's speed, he doesn't have a
Josh Allen's hype, he doesn't have Patrick Mahomes's arm.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
So why would we take a quarterback that that? Really?

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Oh Joe is just he's average with the third pick
in the draft. But what you wouldn't have had to
do is give up all the draft compensation. So imagine
as well as they do drafting, what you can put
around it. And guess what, even if he doesn't pay
it out, O Joe, you go back and you get
you another quarterback, or you couldn't go back and get

(10:14):
you another quarterback and still guess what, you don't have
to spend down there three hundred million dollars. Me personally,
I believe, I believe Matt Jones in this system. I'm
not talking about in this system with Kyle Shanahan with
all think about all the pieces that he had O Joey,
when he has Kittle, when he has Debo, when he

(10:35):
has Ayu, when he has Jennings, when he had Christian McCaffrey,
and he got a Trent Williams playing at playing Trent,
not this guy that's beat up. He's trying to work
himself back in the conditioning and in his form. It's
hard for me to believe that that Matt Jones is
not as good, if not as if not better than Perdy.
And for me, I would have taken it. But I

(10:58):
understand why they did because the measurables. When you look
at him, Ojoe, you're like, that is not the third
pick in the draft, and you draft took a guy
with the third pick in the draft because of the measurables.
But it was the seventh round draft pick that really
saved Kyle shana hand in John Lynch's job, because you
give up that kind of compensation. O Joe, and that

(11:19):
guy doesn't work out, and he didn't work.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Out, you're gone. Yeah, what you think? You think? What
you think? Do you think? Do you think Matt Jones
party similar party is better, statically better, a little bit
marginally better?

Speaker 4 (11:33):
What you think? It's hard to really decipher between the
two on who's better or not because when brock Purty
is in there, he's a rhythm and time in quarterback
as well. When Mac Jones is in there, he's a
rhythm and time in quarterback. Well. Both suit the system
very well. Really not dual threat, not dual threat quarterback. Hell,
they are your typical system West Coast type off the
backs that are dropped back sometimes in the shotgun and

(11:55):
to deliver everything off of timing. And they may they
made great those and they're accurate. The actually what they
lack and being able to escape, escape the pocket or
use their legs running they make up for in other areas.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
And I think finish your thought, just gonna.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Say they both played well doing exactly what's ass of
them in that specific system.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
When you're not that big as far as physical side.
On Joe six four, you don't have rocket arm. You
don't have Lamar Jackson's mobility of Michael Vick's mobility. You
have to have great anticipatory skills. Yes, look at Joe Montana.
Joe was not overwhelming, didn't have the big time arm,

(12:40):
he wasn't the greatest athlete, but his anticipation skills were tremendous.
Rock Purty great anticipatory skills. Matt Jones great anticipatory skills
because you got to be because you don't have the
ball to wait. You've got to get the ball out.
You have to anticipate where the guy's going to be,
and like you know what, have the trust. I trust

(13:01):
the system. I trust the guy that I'm throwing to,
that he's gonna be where he's supposed to be. I
understand the defense. I know where I'm vulnerable, I know
where guys are going to disperse to. I can let
this ball go.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
Just me.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
You can't convince me that brock Perdy is substantially better
than Mac Jones.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
I refuse to believe that.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
And I believe, in the same circumstances, if I had
Matt Jones with Kyle Shanahan, I believe whatever fate the
forty nine ers had gone through over the last four years,
that same fate would have happened to them with Matt Jones,
don't Joe.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yeah, absolutely absolutely, because what we saw the small sample
of Mac Jones right now, since Perdy's been out, it
has been exact same. The offense has been efficient, the
offense up and down the field. They put up points
and it showed the night to where next man up.
That's why I said to start the show off is

(13:55):
this was the definition of next man up and not
missing the beat. Now, I wish other teams were able
to do what we're seeing tonight from the forty nine
ers hell, like here we got the goddamn Detroit Lions
here in Cincinnati at pak Or Stadium. When Joe Burrow
goes down, I wish we still had the same type
of success they had tonight, where you don't miss a

(14:16):
beat just because your quarterback goes down. But unfortunately it's
a little different. It's a little different.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yeah, because you guy ain't that good.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
And I tried to tell you that, and you got
the you got the Bengals fan your Bengals, you got
them all hype.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
That's Jay whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, slow down. Let's
let's let's let's there there there are other there are
other elements.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
I don't want you to talk about no other team.
As a matter of fact, why are you talking. I
don't want you to say foot football. You got another week?
You can still got less see Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Oh
and if you don't win on Sunday, it's another week.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
I gotta you know what, I got a question for you.
What you understand how the football guards work? You know,
when it comes to the game of football in the NFL,
it's week to week.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Well, this ain't gonna be y'all week. This ain't gonna
be y'all weak.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
What happens if just I'm just hypothetic speaking chat those
in the chat hypothetic speaking, what happened if the Bengals
shocked the world and beat the Lions.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
If a dog had a square butt, he pooped blocks.
But it's round, so we know how it will come by,
don't we don't. We don't come out of with y'all.
I'm just saying I could be optimistic. I could be optimistic. Now,
I'm not saying we're gonna win.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
I'm just saying, hypothetically speaking, if the football of the
football gods decide to shock the world.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
I'm just saying, Nah, he busied that day. He ain't
gonna be watching I promise you God ain't no Bengo fan.
He ain't watching that game. He ain't watching that mask
at Paid Court Stadium. Now, hey, listen, I don't know
about master. We're gonna put up a fight?

Speaker 3 (15:47):
What what?

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Whoa?

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Whoa? Whoa?

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Whoa whoa? If the fate is the same, what what
doesn't matter?

Speaker 4 (15:54):
I mean, listen, I got to have some type of
I think we're gonna be all right. I believe in us.
That's all that matter. There's a reason I'm in town.
I done had that pep talk with the boys. I
think we're gonna be alright.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Mac Jones after the game was asked after the game
by playing Hobby reply, I'm good.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I just can't show it.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
That's on me. I'll be fine. That's what happens when
you don't practice for a couple of weeks. So that's
my fault. Uh. You know, look, quarter it's hard for quarterbacks.
There are other positions on shoe. Yeah that can misspractice
and you can't tell when they get into a game.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Right.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
It's hard for a quarterback. That's why a lot of
quarterbacks like to wear their pads on shoe. Hey, they
tell us to take our pants off.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
We can't wait.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
We can't in the locker room, quarterbacks like to throw
their plans because guess what they're gonna throw with their pads.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
They're gonna have.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
So they want the same field, They want the same
rhythm as if they're throwing with pads, because that's how
they're gonna throw in the game. And so, uh, Max's like,
you know what, his fighting senses probably wasn't England. Look
at the next four games Ojoe Week six at Bucks,
then week seven at home home to the Falcons, Week
eight at Texans, week nine at the Giants.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
So it's not like they got an easy schedule coming up. Now.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
I don't know how long brock Purty is going to
be out, but they look they got ten days, so
that's a long time for Party. He was out this
week Ochoe, so he gets he got an extra you know,
he basically got two weeks because he hadn't, you know,
probably done anything since Sunday's game.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Mat Jones.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
He gets ten days because they're off until you know,
they don't play Sunday. Obviously, they play a week from Sunday,
so they get ample time to get.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Some of the guys.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Of these guys that's banged up, Ojo, they get an
opportunity to get them back healthy.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Uh you see Mac Jones fit, we got that, We
got that.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Uh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, that red that
red with the little burger dy in there.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Yeah, let's see what let's see it fit. Can we
pull that video?

Speaker 4 (17:52):
He would clean that? God, Hey listen, that's a man
that came from business. Now yeah, yeah, Hey, that's a man. Hey,
that's that's two faces.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
That's a man been hanging around brothers.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Hey, he clean, that's the man that came.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
I like that Matt as clean as he looked. That's
exactly how he played.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
He played his ass off the night they played, exactly
like that.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
He scared me a little bit when he went down and.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
He grabbed his knee breaks Ojo.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
Yeah, I thought it was pinching him a little bit. Yes, Yes,
that's when you get tackled, They got damn knee breaks,
start pinching you. So when they're pulling this calf, I'm like,
what it must be Either the knee brace is pinching him,
cramping one of the other.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Yeah, and uh, the little calves he got it. Dang,
that won't he hurt nothing because he got First of all,
he got a knee breaks on. So that calf is
not as strong as what it needs to be because
he wears that knee breaks Ojo, you know what I'm saying.
You got to build strength back up in that calf
in order for it to Uh. But he played. He
played his tail off. I mean both quarterbacks played well.

(19:06):
Don't get me wrong, both quarterbacks played well. My concerns
with the forty nine ers, oh show without boats in
the game, they really couldn't generate no pressure.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Pressure.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Yeah, they really couldn't generate any pressure.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
And and and the last thing you want a guy
like Matthew Stafford to have is time.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Yeah, because he was dealing. Man, he was what I'm like,
take that fact. I want to play with Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
We keep talking about Shell if you could come back
and play, and we keep talking about Mahomes and Barrow
and Herbert and Allen and this one man. Give me
more folk Mann Stafford. While y'all out there bumping them.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
You're talking about. You gotta think now, Matthew Stafford is
a legitimate gun slinger. It's only about four folk, maybe
four quarterbacks in the league right now that had the
kind of ball matt Stanfford throws with that kind of
velocity and take any throw on the field. Even even
though Aaron Rodgers is old, he's that's one of them.

(20:01):
Matt Stafford is another. I'm trying to think gunslinger gunsling.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
You see the difference when you When I think a
gun slinger, I think guys that will take unnecessary risk.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
That's really not what Aaron Rodgers is. Now.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Aaron Rodgers can make every throw. Matthew Stafford can make
every throw. Change arm angles. Both guys can change arm angles.
But sometimes if you look at the interceptions for Matthew Stafford,
you look at the interception for Aaron Rodgers, and you'll
see a vast different because Rogers was really never willing
to take unnecessary risk.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Matthew Stafford he.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Believed he could throw a football through a keyhole, and
he damn show I just gonna get a football through
a key hole, Let me show you, and he would
try it.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
Now he's gotten better.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Now, can you imagine how what he would have been
had he had Sean McVay his whole career. Who but
he could throw it, oh Joe. I mean he can
fast spend the ball. And now I expect him when
I watch a game, I want to see one time
where he look over here and throw the ball over there.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
He did that against He did that.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
He didn't do it tonight.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
He didn't do tonight. I remember he did it against
the Bengals in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yeah, oh, he did it. He did it.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
He did it two weeks in a row. He and
he's running down the fields because he's wiped up. Don't
look in my eyes. Don't look in my eyes. Don't
look in my eyes. But hey, but this was this.
I think when the NFL envision look, they tried to
they try to make these game division divisional matchup. Oho,

(21:29):
so they're really close. Nobody's having to go a great distance.
You don't want somebody on the West coast having to
go easy right right east coast having to go west,
or you let it be close proximity.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Uh, it's already tough enough playing.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I can just imagine because I didn't really start to
feel good till Friday, So I can imagine playing the
game on Sunday, didn't turn around playing them another game
on Thursday, and especially as you got older. Oo, it
took long and longer to get that old man.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Up at you recover.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah, but this was unbelieve This was an unbelievable, unbelievable
ball game. Thank you NFL, Thank you Rams, thank you
forty nine ers, because you guys played your ass off
on a very very short week. This is the type
of game that we want to see on a Thursday.
Got some bull dyve, you know, hey, this is what
this is what we're looking about with joe Ce mac
final stants. He had twenty two carries fifty seven yards,

(22:20):
eight receptions for eighty two yards, thirty touches, almost one
hundred and forty yards of total offense. And that's what
he gives you, his ability to catch the ball out
of the backfield. You can line him up in the slot,
you can line him up out wide. Obviously you know
you can handle the ball. He can run between the
tackles and be like I was like, guys, if you
watched Stanford's offense, why are you going to be surprised

(22:43):
that he can run the ball between the tackles because
that was a pro offense.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
But he ran between the tackles. That's what he ran.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
They ran counter in power all the time in Stanford.
He's not a Look, I understand that he's small in stature.
You can get a guy who was probably five eight
maybe two oh five, but don't let that fool you.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
You run behind this past.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yes, I mean the amount of touches that he has,
Oh Joe, Yeah, I mean, the body's gonna break down because,
like I said, he not there, Henry. He not two
forty five, two fifty. He's not one of these bruising facts.
But he can run with power. Obviously, he can run
with speed. He can catch the football. I mean, he's
multi talented. But I'm not surprised that he had the

(23:23):
success or he's having the success that he's had the
NFL based on what I saw him doing college, which
would run between the tackles, and because that's what you
want to see, because it's hard to just make a
living in the NFL, Oh joe, just running outside the tackle.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
You have to run in that box.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
You got to and most of the time, especially with
a running back like Christian McCaffrey, he can manipulate the
first man and not allow him to get a clean hit. Morie,
and he's falling forward.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
I remember when Barry's coming out there like he's a
little undersigned. I said, well, whos gonna hit him?

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Those hate, I hate those.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
We have never seen anything like Barry though.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
I mean, I understand what they're saying, O Joe, because
we had never seen anything like Barry. We've never seen
a guy like that that ran that style. Man, Yo, coach,
stop all that dancing. No, hit the hole, hit the hole.
They for whatever reason, they allowed Barry Sanders to be
Barrs Sanders. And I remember Barry Switzer told the story

(24:23):
Thurman Thomas was the starting running back in front of Barry, right,
and Barry Swissers say, look, don't hurt the starter because
the backup.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
You don't want to play against the backup.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Who says, don't hurt the starter because the backup, And
they didn't go back and look at what he did
against Oh you go back man, Barry, Ojoe, Barry have
games with three hundred. If you held Barry to one
hundred and seventy yards, you would, yes, because you lucky
you don't get three. That's crazy, that man. That man

(24:57):
had twenty seven twenty six hundred yards in twelve games,
eleven games.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
You're never gonna see that again.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Yeah, we've seen nothing like that. There've been there been
glimpses of players with the same skill set. Yeah, Lashawn McCoy, Yes,
I'm not as explosive because Barry could do all that
and he get up out of there and be gone.
D John Robinson has a bit of that, that lateral
movement you know yet missed. But it's not like Barry.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Barry a two foot oh joe. He would start, he
would jump and start with.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
Two feet and come to balance and two feet yep,
and going again and get up out of there.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Barry was looking to Barry lose. He would make a
three yard loss look like the most beautiful twenty two
yard game you've ever seen in your life. You're like, oh,
bad man, it's second and thirteen. Don't worry about that.
Don't he worried? Oh you don't worry about that. Don't
worry about it. But did you see that ruin? And
he shook eight people? It should have been a loss

(26:02):
of fifteen, he only lost three.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Could could you imagine? Could you imagine Barry sayings right
now with the officer line like no, like Philly.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
God, ain't finna give you all of that?

Speaker 1 (26:14):
Oh your dang, you want that man to have the
Cowboys offensive line that Emmett ran behind.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
My God, that wouldn't be fair.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
No, and he probably wouldn't know what to do.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Bad was used to running and it ain't had no blocking,
so he wouldn't know what to do, like Barry, like, man,
you mean I'm supposed to I'm supposed to run run
through there? Yeah, if you want to. But uh no,
I thought Christian McCaffrey played well. I thought everybody for
the forty nine ers played well. This was a really
clean game, with the exception of the punch out and sometimes,

(26:45):
oh Joe, you know it comes down when you do something.
All turnovers are not created equal. When you turn the
ball over is the most important thing. Where you turned
the ball over is the second most important thing. So
with that being said, man, you look and I feel
bad because Kyen Williams has turned himself into a very

(27:06):
good running back. He can run it out of the backfield.
He reminds you a lot of Christian mccafefick because he
can do a lot of the same things. Oh Joe,
he can run it, he can run inside, he can
run outside, he can catch it. He called a couple
of touchdowns, but that that turnover and then they got
that late stop. So it was a very clean game.
I love the way the game was played. The referees.

(27:26):
I didn't see a whole I didn't feel anything that
I feel like I should get out of, Like, damn,
ref you should have let him play with that. I
think the ref called things that were there, but let
him play. The quarterbacks were exceptional. Really a clean game
with exception that won't turnover. So there's really nothing to
be mad about on a Thursday night game this to

(27:46):
get this kind of performance from the two teams, I think, Look,
I understand if you're a Rams fan, you disappointed your
team loss, uh and the forty nine ers you excited
your team won. But as a fan of the National
Football League, I think everybody wins tonight.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
And again tonight. I have to give another salute to
Kendrick Bourne. Boy, you look good. You look good the
definition of next man up.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Uh yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
But you know the thing is, it's hard for me
to believe that uh uh he was with what he
with the Patriot ned. It's hard for me to believe
they got four better receivers than him.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Uh huh. But but you got to think about this
situation matters. Yeah, schemes matter, the play calling matters.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Now you got a new staff in there, plug.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Yeah, you're missing some of your key players. Juwan Jennings
is out, Rica Perce. I'm not sure if I'm saying
this his last name right, and I'm butchering his last name.
He's out, Brandon Ayuka is out. Next man up and
when the opportunity presents itself, even with the drop tonight,
he still had a career night mm hm. And I
hope he continues the bill on that next week. Maybe

(29:01):
they give him a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Well, I don't well Jennings coming back? Is are you
coming back? I mean you ain't got no choice?

Speaker 4 (29:09):
No, yeah, come back.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
So with that being saying on Joey, they ain't got
no choice.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
But like you said, sometimes it comes down to a
situation where you're getting opportunities. How many opportunities did he
have in New England? And who did he have trying
to get in the ball. Now, Drake May was a
rookie and Drake May has gotten better towards the end
of the year. He got better last year and he's
played really well this year thus far. But being in
a situation like this, Kyle. One thing, Kyle knows how

(29:35):
to get the ball to guys. That's something that his
dad could always do. Look when you got you know,
you have Jerry, and you deal with me, and you
deal with Rod, you have Brandon Marshall. So you know
how to get the ball to hot receivers and know
how to feature them and put them in situations where
they can win. And that what That's what it was tonight,
ough Joe. He got put into a situation and Hey,

(29:56):
throw the ball to k Hey. There'll be a situation
because I can hear Hey throw the ball at eighty four.
So he's telling Ay, you know, Kyle's in his ear,
Well we were. I don't have Kittle, I don't have
piersall Sall. What is it, Prislle or Pearsall, Princelle.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
I'm mean to call him. I'm gonna call him Marp
until I talked to him.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
His name right, Piersall? Yeah, piersoll uh. And So that's
the thing though, O Joe.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
But if you go back and look, Kyle has made
some really really marginal quarterbacks look really really good good,
So you could imagine what he does when he have
somebody I could just I don't even want to think
about it. Matt Jones finished the game with forty nine
pass to ten. That's the most by Niners quarterbacks, and C. J.

(30:45):
Bethard had fifty four in twenty eighteen. MAC After the game,
Kyle came up to me before the game and he
was pissed how we were underdog. So he was like,
just let it fly. And I was like, coach, you
don't have to tell me. Twice Rams were favored BYuT
eight and a half points. Quarterbacks with at least three

(31:06):
wins and zero losses this season?

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Three? Did you hear what John Jall Jalen hurts.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Yeah, Matt Jones, you heard what you just said. I
want you to think about what you just said. Dams
were favored by how much eight and a half? Who
won the game tonight?

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Forty nine ers?

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Now, I don't mean to fast forward the Sunday. How
much of the Lion's favored back not enough. I'm just saying,
now you see where I'm going with this.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
You are you lying you're gonna go to hell because
you have to give a coffity line. You're telling, hey, chat,
don't y'all listen at yo, y'all go put your don't
y'all put y'all go put your money down on the Bengals.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
I'm not saying I ain't saying nothing by no betting.
I ain't saying nothing boy, no putting, no money. But
I'm just saying, you see how the football guard showed up.
The football guard showed up and said the hell you don't.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
First of all, Jake Brown, ain't mac Jones. Let's start
with that. Your defense isn't the forty nine ers. Let's start.
Let's let's let's let's continue with that. And third of all,
third and most important of all, ain't nobody gonna confuse
Zach Taylor with Coyle Shay in the hand.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
Let's just let let's just let's just stay that. There's
three simple fights.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait
wait wait, wait, okay, wait, you get a little you
get a little too hostile, you get a lady calm down,
you get a little too hostile. Let's wait and see
what happens. Sunday night. Just wait and see, because every
time I go to a game, since I reply, every
time I go to a game, we win. Now take

(32:48):
with that what you need and what you will.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Don't take nothing from that chat. Don't y'all listen to
old Shoe.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
They ain't never lost a game that I'm in town.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Okay, you're gonna be with and stuff in your mama's name. Live.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
The Lions are favored by ten and a half. Not enough,
all right. Sean McVay spoke on his game losing fourth
down decision. It was a bad call. It was a
bad call by me. I'm sick right now because I
put out players in an ishuy spot and I've got
to live with that. I mean, most people throw on

(33:30):
the yard. Most people say, Harry's the thing? If you
throw it, ojoe? What is everybody gonna say? Man, why
don't you get a ball to Cara Williams a yard?
You can't get a yard? Okay, to get them all
to Cai. Man, Matthew Stafford was dealing. Why don't you
let Matthew Stafford throw? Come on, man, you know how
this thing go.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
O joe.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
If you if you run it and don't get it,
you should have thrown it. You throw it, don't get it,
you should have run it.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Either way. I like the call because I would too
when they making a call like that. He's telling his
players one thing. I believe in y'all. I believe in you.
I believe who we have can get that, get us
that one yard play. That's what the players think. Forget
what everybody thinking on our side. If we get it,
we don't. You know what our coach believe in. Its Well,

(34:13):
he going for it on fourth one in the field
goal man. Players like that play. Do you know how
them players feel about Dan Campbell going forward on fourth
and folk, Yeah, three, fourth and two, fourth and one.
Oh hell man, we run through a goddamn brick wall
for him.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
You like knowing that your coach has confidence in you
and that you know what, hey guy, you guys gonna
get it.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Y'all gonna back me up. And that's the thing your coach.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
You know, when bro we were in Baltimore and Brian
talking crazy and he going back and forth with Jeff Fisher,
he going back and forth with coach Kyward in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
He talked, He put it out there. We got to
go back it up.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Man. Yeah, y'all heard the man say he talking, okay,
And I did love that. That's the one thing a year.
There's a lot to love about Baltimore because it was great.
I had a great time in Baltimore my two years,
which it could have been longer, but I ain't here.
They don't try to change nothing about you. Just play hard.

(35:12):
Talk as much as you want to talk. Just realize
not come Sunday.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Now. You got to back up what you said.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, you know.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
What I'm saying. Hey, talk all you want to.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
You get into a time out, time out, time out?
What team you talking about?

Speaker 3 (35:25):
The Ravens.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
You mean the Ravens. That's one and three right now, I.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Tell him out. When I was there, hold on, I
don't know nothingboy, when I was there.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
No, no, no, no, no no no. You still part of
the team, right You've been hooping and hollering by the
Ravens and they won in three at the same Raveises.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
That lost the other night Bronco Country.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
Baby, Hey, listen, you can't say foot or ball, I
say anything related to anything Ravens.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
I get to say that because my team beat your team.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Who don't do that. Oh, now you don't know who
you played for. Oh we beat you that bad game?

Speaker 3 (35:55):
You am me?

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Hold on, are you talking about the Broncos. Yes, well listen,
we don't want to hit no old so worried about
the raven today? Win the game?

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Well you can't say no. I'll tell you what. Guess
what you will be able to shore no stories for
another week. I mean, listen, we'll see about that another
week and another one.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
We'll see about that. Okay, the one day one thing
about me? I got faith? I got faith? Who me?

Speaker 3 (36:22):
You talked?

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Somebody name Faith? I don't know nobody but faith but faith.
Others how you're doing all.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Right, we'll see, we'll see. I want everybody, probably everybody
in the chat probably laughing saying, oh the Bengals don't
got no chance. Okay, we'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Oh, Joe Dylan Gabriel made an interesting comment yesterday when
talking about becoming Brown's new queek QB one. Let's take
a listen to what Gabriel had to say.

Speaker 5 (36:49):
I smile because it's like a moment you prep for
and you are extremely excited for, but also got to
realize that it's extreme focus, and that's what I've continued
to harp on. But you wait for the perfect time,
you know you're gonna wait a whole lifetime. So for me,
I'm just I've always been ready for every moment.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
Wait for the perfect time. You'll be waiting a lifetime.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
I like that because when you're doing good your moments
and opportunities, sometimes the ideal situation is never perfect. M
It's never perfect. The ideal situation that you envisioned your
head to get the opportunity, it never going to be
how you envision it. And that's exactly what it is.

(37:35):
Sometimes their adversity, Sometimes they are obstacles that you have
to climb to get said opportunities. And for him, it
hasn't been perfect. Hey man, I life, My life just
went out.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
I don't think he was talking about him waiting the lifetime.
The reports didn't come out that he's told the team
not to draft him.

Speaker 4 (37:59):
I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't.
I don't coincide. But what he said and having to
do anything with with twelve, I don't. Yeah. No, it's
hard to even no, not.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
Even close, not even close.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Noah, not even close. That's that would be, that would
be almost be reaching a little bit that that's to
me no.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
So, but I'm trying to figure out how you Why
would he say, if you wait for the perfect time,
you have to wait a lifetime.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Well, come on, and I said, I just ask you listen,
we can't. We can't. That's his words. That's that's what
he came up with. That might be a sandy I
don't know. I don't know, but I still don't. I
don't coincide what he's saying and having to do anything.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
But it should do it. I look, is it ever
gonna be perfect?

Speaker 1 (38:50):
On? Yo? I mean, all things being equal, you like
for the Dolphins to draft you, all things like, man,
let me go home, I want to play for the Dolphins,
or I would have go play with somebody got a quarterback, YadA, YadA, YadA.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
Now look, and I get it.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Quarterbacks are different because normally you get a quarterback and
he's good, he gonna be there for a period of
time and you got the you know, you got to
wait and hope everything happened.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
I mean, I did let me ask you a question.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Ideally, yeah, do you think Tom Brady and given the choice,
wanting to go to New England after they had just
given made Drew Drew bled so the highest paid quarterback
in the NFL, he had just signed a six year one.
You think that was the ideal situation for Tom blood Brady.

Speaker 4 (39:33):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
What happened.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
He got hurt, Drew got hurt, She got hurt. And
guess what happened was an ideal situation and it wasn't perfect.
He made an idea bingo and the same thing, same
Joe Flacco's not playing well. Not the ideal situation, because
maybe the ideal situation is I drafted the third round

(39:59):
and I bet Joe Flack go out in training camp
and I'm the start of week one. That's the ideal,
perfect situation.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
I don't believe there.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
I don't believe there was gonna let anybody look if
it's been reported, they wanted Kenny Pickett to win the
job and Gabriel b second, should door be third. I
don't ever think there was gonna be a situation on
Joe that a rookie was gonna beat Joe Flack o out.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
I don't No, I didn't either, based on I didn't either,
But again, the way to go on who you start with.
You start with the veteran who has experience, and when
the bottom falls out, then you make a change.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
The bottom fell out, They made a change, right, man.
Should a guy could have told him the bottle was
gonna fall out.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Yeah, that's some important.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
The bucket was rusty anyway, you talk about the bottom
fell out there, the bucket rusty. But then you think
it was gonna happen to the bottom. Look, at the
end of the day, Shoudor needed to make the best
decision for him. You might not agree with what he did.
He should just be happy that somebody was gonna take
him X, Y and Z. I get it, O you.

(41:03):
I get all I do. I honestly get all of
that because normally when we come out, O Joe, were
just happy to get drafted. Really, I am. I didn't
get careful man, the big really, the Bengals, the Patriots,
the Colts, anybody could have drafted me. I got drafted
to the NFL. That was the start of the journey.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
I mean sometimes people get drafted, O Joe, they say, oh, yeah, no, bro,
your journey just started. You ain't never been to the NFL.
I don't know if you're My dream was not to
just get was not to be drafted. My dream was
your to the NFL and play. Being drafted is just
half the process.

Speaker 4 (41:37):
Whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. Also, you have to think, now,
let let's let's let's let's let's let's use a look
my chances. If I'm sure do I don't want to
go to Baltimore. You ain't finna see the field. You
not seeing the field for the next ten fifty the

(41:58):
next ten eleven years.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Jamar Jackson show, I know a guy that went to
New England when Tom Brady was at his APEX named
Jimmy Garoppolo, played a few games, played good enough, and
then what happened on Joe. Tell the people at home
that don't know that wasn't around when Jimmy Garoppolo got
drafted to the New England Patriots and Tom Brady got suspended.
Because we never know, because there's only been one omnipotent one.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yeah, be all knowing, Yes, Tell the.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
People at home what happened Jimmy Garoppolo got drafted to
the New England Patriots. There's an unperceived that we couldnt
have possibly known. Tell the people I want you to
take the story over from there.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
Hold on, I forgot the story. You got to bring
me up to speed.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Jimmy Garoppolo gets drafted to the New England Patriots.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
Tom Brady gets suspended for four games.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
Jimmy Garoppolo played well enough to say, guess what happened
on Joe? Yeah, forty nine has traded a second round
pick to get Jimmy Gay. Now Lamar Jackson is hurt.
If your Jeworge Sanders is there, guess who's gonna get in.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
The game right now, O, Choe, she does Sanders.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
If you play well enough, because you know you're not
gonna keep the job from Lamar Jackson, you play well enough,
guess what happens, Oh Choe, tell them people what the
possible happen?

Speaker 4 (43:13):
Yeah, he could probably get traded some of somebody willing
to give up picks for.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Him, and you get you get to a situation that
you always wanted because go ahead.

Speaker 4 (43:26):
Or the cars that you're with, dere I'm gonna take
my chances going somewhere else. I'm gonna take my chances going,
but let me stay with me. Now, I'm gonna take
my chances going somewhere else where. The odds are stacked
against me, those obstacles and those hurdles, that adversity that
I've always had to overcome in life. I'm gonna I'm

(43:49):
gonna do it the hard way, I guess, and wait
my turn. Because what he's gonna get his opportunity?

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Young guess what else is stacked against you? What's that
the talent in Cleveland versus the talent in Baltimore. Because
when Jimmy Garoppolo went the New England, guess who you're
throwing to? Danny Emon Dola. Guess who?

Speaker 3 (44:08):
Elp? Julian Edelman? Yes, who elp?

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Rob Gronkowski? Guess who he would be right handing the
ball off to Deack Henry. Guess who he'd be throwing to.
Mark Andrews. Guess who else? Rashan Bateman? Guess who else?
May Flowers Flowers? Now let me ask you another question.
Who would you rather be throwing the ball to the
guys in Cleveland? Are the guys in Baltimore? Who would

(44:31):
you rather hand the ball off to? Dere hear me
or the guy in Cleveland. I'm just asking. I don't know,
I mean, you might like.

Speaker 4 (44:39):
I hear you, I hear you. It sound good. That
would be the ideal situation. But what did what did
Dylan Gabriel just say? I don't have the ideal situation.
The situation I mean was not perfect, but the opportunity.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Hold on, hold on? Can we rewrite that and play
that again? Can we rewright?

Speaker 5 (45:00):
A moment you prep for and you are extremely excited for,
but also got to realize that it's extreme focus. And
that's what I've continued to harp on. But you wait
for the perfect time, you know you're gonna wait a
whole lifetime. So for me, I'm just I've always been
ready for every moment.

Speaker 4 (45:18):
If you wait for the perfect time. So I'm sure
door and I'm in Baltimore, so I'm waiting on Lamar
to get hurt, because that's.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
What you waiting for.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
In what you're waiting for in Cleveland, you waiting for
Joe Flack or to mess up.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
So either way, whichever place you go to, you're still
waiting on the perfect time. You still waiting on the
ideal situation where you can get in there and do
what you do regardless to what's surrounding you. You still
got to do what you got to do right And
for one you know what. You know, what's funny is
you can't focus on what's around you. You can only
focus on what you need to do right, to do

(45:52):
what you need to do, regardless of whether you have
a great supporting cast or not. When I got Derek
Hery or not, when I got Dave Flowers or I
got got God damn Derek Henry in the background. I
got to do what I got to do. And handing
the ball off the Justins Junkins, right, Junkins, nic Junkins, Yeah, Junkins.
I got to get the ball to Jerry Jerry Judy.
I got to get the ball unjuku whatever. I got

(46:14):
to work with that hand I got. But when you
play black jack, they kill your hand, right, I'm trying
to beat the dealer. That's it. I got the work.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
What I got, I guess I got? Man, you gave
me fourteen. I guess what you got? You got a nine.

Speaker 3 (46:32):
I got to hit it.

Speaker 5 (46:38):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
Hey, that's the beautiful Hey, that's the beautiful thing about
life though, Huh, that's thing about life.

Speaker 5 (46:44):
Right.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
We all envisioned getting the perfect hand, but sometimes the
car that God dealers they ain't perfect. But he ain't
gonna give us twenty one every time.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
No, And sometimes you might have twenty one and the
dealer got twenty one, and you'll be like, and you
didn't take no insure.

Speaker 4 (47:00):
Inside, it's not that it's a push or you got too.

Speaker 1 (47:03):
Oh you're like, oh yeah, I got twenty and then
he flip over black jack. So you're right, there are
there are no Look, there are no perfect scenarios. Yeah,
we make whatever it is. We make the best out.
Because there have been times a you got a you
got eight, you got ten, you get three, you get

(47:24):
a five, you get another three, twenty one. Yeah, like, damn,
I don't know how I got I don't know how
I made that hand. Yeah, and that's what you're doing
is gonna have to do. Okay, you're gonna have to
wait a couple more weeks. Use uh, Billy Gabriel is
in there now, and they're gonna give it.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
They're gonna give him, you know, three to five weeks.

Speaker 4 (47:45):
Yeah, Hey, this I hope. I hope he does well.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
I do too.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Look, I could I couldn't wish bad on Joe. I've
been in that situation. No, Joe, I was the third.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
Hold on clans k Orson Burger.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
I was a four tight end, O Joe got four.
Every tight end on the roster got hurt. Hold on,
you was four fourth?

Speaker 3 (48:08):
First of all, I was.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
First of all, I was a receiver. I was a
fifth receiver. So this one, I was the fifth receiver. Yes, Phil,
and you are sorry.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
I was. Hey, I'm a special team man on special team,
th Joe, that's not.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
My job, ain't hey give them a good look at practice, right,
special team?

Speaker 3 (48:27):
Go down there and do what I need to do.

Speaker 1 (48:28):
Yeah, how everybody, all the tight ends get hurt. Yeah,
I'm the biggest wide receiver. But at that point in time,
O Joe, I'm already down.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
I came in.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
I weighed two twenty one by that time, I'm like
to twelve, what tight end you?

Speaker 3 (48:45):
What wide receiver?

Speaker 1 (48:46):
You know? Oh Joe can go play even in today's
game when they don't really block like that and two twelve.

Speaker 4 (48:52):
And that's very undersized. Hell, I did ship when I
came in twelve.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
So it was a situationd like And when Daddy said
for me to come talk to day and I think
I'm gonna get cut. Your coach called you. They say, hey,
Dan want to see you in his office, and you
just had a meeting. What the better I'm gonna tell
what I'm gonna tell Libby, what I'm gonna tell damn
about their back and just oh, everything going through my Hey, yeah,

(49:19):
I know that I know them ends and back home
gonna be Yeah, I told you, I know he was
gonna last long there. He could tell I was nervous,
So Joe, I'm I.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
Said, coach, Hey, Shannon, come on in. No, I'm good.
I can hear you out here.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
Hey, he said, uh, he said, uh, what do you
think about switching positions? UK about move you the tight end?
I said, okay, he said, uh. I said, you're gonna
throw me to my He's like, yeah, you know you
got to learn the plays. But yeah, well we'll get
you the ball. I said, okay, your heart, your heart

(50:10):
were beating so fast. So hey, now I ain't any
why I receive with meeting with the tight head tight ends. Yeah,
and just and just like that, halfway through the season,
boom as the interview. Oh yo, we were five and
eleven that year. He say, hey, coach, coach retail. I

(50:33):
go to his office. He said, you did really good. Uh,
but hey, need you to get a little stronger, put
a little weight on.

Speaker 4 (50:40):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
We think you could be really good. We think you
can be really good. Like man, I was okay bad
oh yo bad? I hit the wait man. So that's
what a your door.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
I don't know when this opportunity to go to present itself,
but when it presents itself, and I'm sure your father
has told you this, when the opportunity presents itself. Sometimes,
when opportunity presents itself, Oh Jr. Grumblers complain about the noise.

Speaker 3 (51:15):
Don't worry about it. Seize the moment, bro, What that
was you said, the opportunity?

Speaker 1 (51:21):
When it knocks, grumbler complains about the noise, that's opportunity.
Don't worry about it. Hold on you a Sanders, realize that.
Hang your hat on that. All these fails go back?
Who am I? What am I? How did I become this?

(51:41):
Where did I come from?

Speaker 3 (51:44):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (51:44):
Boy, that was a good one there brought. When opportunity
presents itself, brumbles.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
An opportunity knocks.

Speaker 4 (51:49):
Oh yeah, kno, knock, knock, knock, knock.

Speaker 3 (51:52):
Man Who that knocked on my door? What you want?
That was opportunity? Knock it? And you're complaining about the noise.

Speaker 4 (52:01):
That's tough. Hey, that's like a battle wrap bar right there.
Mm hmmm, I'm gonna use that. I'm gonna use Yeah,
that was cool.

Speaker 3 (52:12):
All right on, Joe, check this out. CJ.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
Stride was asked about improve improving explosiveness.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah, just take a listen to what he had to say.

Speaker 6 (52:19):
Okay, being twenty three, I'm not like fully in my
grown man bodies all the way yet you know, I'm
still growing every like every year, and I just think
like I got to just continue to be harder myself
about not only just lifting waste, but eating the right foods.
Like that's been a big thing too. So yeah, that
that's just a thing where I think the explosiveness comes from,

(52:39):
like being better on my diet, being better with you know, stretching,
and like I feel like I'm getting old, So I
got it.

Speaker 4 (52:48):
I'm not.

Speaker 7 (52:49):
I'm not as quick as I used to be. I
was watching my high school stuff for a couple of
days ago. I was I was like one eighty and
I was rolling and I no more. But yeah, I
try to just be better with that stuff so I
can run fast.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
All right, You ain't playing, I mean it's hard for
you to play one eighty A. You can't take them.

Speaker 4 (53:09):
Legs now, you can't. But but I don't. I don't.
I don't like what he's said in an interview, what
he said in the interview. I gotta watch some of
the things I eat. I got to change diet and do.
Let me finish, Let me finish. I gotta change and diet,
you know, and help it. No, the foods you consume
has nothing to do with your explosion when you were
one ad in high school. Of course you're faster. So

(53:30):
what you need to do in the off season is
you work your low extremities. You work your low extremities
to have that explosiveness where you felt much faster when
you were one ad in high school. Also, the competition
you're playing against is much faster than the competition you
play against. We're in high school, So it makes you
feel like you're not as quick or as fast or

(53:51):
it's explosive. No, the people around you are that just
that much faster. That's all. Ain't nothing wrong with you, boy,
you're twenty three years old. What don't let the people
brainwash you too? Talk about some diet. I can make
sure you never get over it again. Give me Houston,
right down the street from me. I'm a nutritionist. I
got a seventeen week plan that will take you out

(54:13):
this world by stop playing.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
Man, let this seventeen week will take you out of
the league. CJ. Don't you call hey, c A strive.

Speaker 4 (54:21):
I gotta, I gotta. I'm telling you well, I'm a nutritionists. Huh.
I got my license. I'm a dietitian. I got anything.
I got everything you need, anything you.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
Need, man, that man, he ain't got a driver's license.
He got a fishing license.

Speaker 4 (54:33):
CEJ, Strive, come home. Let your boy in the all season.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Don't holler let him CJ.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Shit, Hey, man, say he got the old bad twenty
three boy, if you owe it twenty three, I sure
hate to see you at thirty three.

Speaker 4 (54:48):
He's mistaken, he's mistaken. How we looked in high school
and how explosive he felt against the competition.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
Yeah, how many of them guys that you played against
the high school and NFL, because all the guys that
you play against now in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
Hey, it's a different ball game. Hey on, you got
Lineman three hundred ninety.

Speaker 3 (55:10):
One and four five man, yep, yep, come on.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
Man, So of course you feel that way, but that's
not it. It's an illusion. It's in your mind. See
they Stroud, I can get you down to a four three.
I can get you down to a four three. Come
on down there to the track program.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
He ain't getting down, No fo three.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
C J.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
You're not getting down in the fourth three.

Speaker 4 (55:32):
I'm telling you, hey, I have c striud at like
like like Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
No, you're not.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
I need three months.

Speaker 3 (55:40):
Calamar Jackson been fast all his life.

Speaker 5 (55:42):
C J.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
Strelley've been fast. J.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
Stroud been fast by his standard, yeah, but by being fast.
Lamar Jackson been fastest whole life. Lamar Jackson was fast
in high school, he was fast in junior high school.

Speaker 3 (55:56):
He was fast in college. He fast in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (55:59):
Listen to me. I'm not saying I can get him
Lamar Jackson fast, but I can get him in arms reach,
in arm's length of being just as elusive, not as fast,
but fast enough to where he doesn't feel he's overwhelmed
by the NFL talent. That's all.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
Yeah, Victor Wimenyama's arm they this long.

Speaker 4 (56:21):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm telling I'm telling you, man, telling you,
I got I got a good program for all them boys.

Speaker 3 (56:30):
No, you don't
